*Locke's smile returned. He looked as though he was going to pull out a notepad.*

 

"Well- lets see. You thought on several occasions thoughts that said- in so many words 'He's never going to give up, is he?' Uhh, there were also numerous internal struggles to keep your Jedi Composure, which, I have to say, I didn't have to be a mind reader to notice. You seemed to take a bit of pleasure from me being on top of you as well... That was nice... And uhh, I think that about covers it."

Kira nodded slightly as he mentioned the obvious thoughts, the ones she had figured he would have picked up on. She wasn't surprised about his knowing her struggle to keep her composure either. It was hearing him say he'd picked up on the other that was her undoing, she couldn't stop the blush that rose up as the vision came to her again and she lowered her gaze from his. Oh this is not good. Ok”¦ change of subject required. This could lead somewhere I don't want to go”¦ She found herself with another internal battle of wills and had to admit that she did enjoy their verbal sparring. One thing's for sure, he was certainly keeping her on her toes.

 

”œWe might head back to my office. I need to check messages for starters and I need to see Lt Yue.”

*Locke stood up and quickly moved to follow his master. He was surprised by his master's sudden change of subject, but didn't think much of it. He put an arm behind his head and stretched, releasing some of the built up tension.*

 

"Well, Boss, I don't really know off the top of my head. I have a few skills that I need to research. I suppose I never told you about my personal mission."

 

*Locke sensed his master's intrigue and decided not to wait for her to ask.*

 

"I am to become the Jedi Exorcist. And before you ask, no, I don't think I made it up. It's just a sort of sense I got. My job is to learn how to exorcise the dark side of the force, and then do it. Nobody told me, I'd never heard about it, it just sort of came to me. Like a whisper in my head. I'm charged with Exorcising the Dark Side from the galaxy and whatever tracks it leaves behind."

 

*Locke looked at his master, who didn't seem to know what to do with what he had told her. Locke put his hands in his pockets as they continued walking on.*

 

"Basically what it boils down to is I need to research old Jedi techniques that haven't been used 10,000 years. I want to know as many force techniques as I can find to learn about. It would seem the more intimately I know the workings of the force the sooner I can find out how to defeat the Dark side."

 

*Locke suddenly remembered his point.*

 

"So- do you happen to know any other force techniques?"

[Kirana Sunrider]

Master and Padawan had reached Kira's office now and she answered him as they entered.

 

”œThat sounds like an interesting and very worthy occupation. I have to apologise though as I only have the basic force techniques, no specialised training. I'd be what you would call Guardian Class. I have touched on healing which I will pass on to you as well. We will have to try and find one of the old Jedi libraries to further your training in that area.”

*Locke leaned against Kira's desk and put his hands against the edge, crossing his legs and turning to Yue.*

 

"Yeah Mr. Yue. Do you happen to know any systems with Jedi Libraries. Maybe one with two suns and a planet that orbits them in a figure 8 around them. HHMMM?"

[Yue]

"For a Padawan you sure lack respect, then again a little a ego is never a bad thing. "

 

A grin came across Yue's face then aback to bussiness he went.

 

"About the library, I do not know of any first hand. On the other hand."

 

He points to a system or planets and zooms in on Ossus.

 

"When I was training there I noticed a a pull in the force, and I belive that maybe a library is there. If any one will know it is my friend in training Delita could take you there and he could show you. He is there training so he should help you, be warned I am sure somthing is there."

 

He gave a shared glance with both kirana and the Padawan.

 

"My question is this general, why your intrest in the Libraries and who is this smart ass of a padawan to insult a supior?"

Kira hid a smile as Lt Yue summed up her padawan, his description was apt.

 

"Lt Yue, meet Locke Starspanker... as for his lack of military disipline, he's not a soldier, although given my Jedi statis is not common knowledge I am passing him off as my personal aide. My interest in the Jedi libraries is to further both my padawan's Force training, as well as my own. There are area's of the Force that I am hoping is covered by holocrons or in the ancient texts."

 

She indicated for all to take a seat and make themselves comfortable.

 

"Ossus, yes... that planet has had quite a history."

 

She let her voice trail off a moment, evaluating all her options. She also noticed the message that the Admiral had sent. So the Empire is up to something else again... should have known it wouldn't take them long to strike again... all my precautions here should be fine though... Fairly quick to forgive, she let those thoughts be accessable in her public mind. Continuing out loud she mused,

 

"Selvaris shouldn't gain the Empires attention. If by chance the Empire does stumble across it I have several lines of defense in place. The outpost on the moon has been well camoflauged, along with the three Golan's in orbit. That just leaves this base which is well hidden in the mountains and the underwater base that has also had plenty of defensive measures built in."

 

She looked across at the Lieutenant.

 

"While things are relatively quiet, I'll take Locke to Ossus. Can you oversee the final preparations over the base? The automated defense systems should be working fine and can be activated remotely if need be. If you need me for anything, you can reach me via this comm frequency."

 

Kira handed him a datapad with her comm details on it and stood.

 

"Any questions from either of you? Locke, I want you to come with me back to the quartermaster's store. I have a few items to get there, and you need more than one set of clothing..."

*Locke followed his master a few paces behind. Surely he could find something he needed at the Q-store.*

 

"Why would I need a change of clothes, Boss? Do you intend to get dirty?"

[Yue]

Defesne was somthing he was used to by now anyways.

 

"Yes sir, all will be taken care of, just give me the codes or the man who can and I will ask Delita to assiast you if he can."

 

He saw the padwan and master leave the room, now things should be fun yet again.

 

"This time the empire will not catch me off guard and if they do attack I will not lose."

 

He now took a seat and started reading over some of the offical work and program protocals, Never being one to belive in Automaited programs to deal with human radnomness.

 

"Now the real long night will begin."

The light judges all

Her eyes dancing with hidden laughter, she stopped in the corridor and turned to face him.

 

”œOkay Locke, why would I tell you to get another change of clothes if I intended to get dirty?”

*Locke looked at her with a very matter-of-fact look on his face.*

 

"Well, I only assume that if you're going to get dirty I'm going to participate. I suppose you could get dirty alone, though it would be half as fun."

Kira decided it was time to let another side come out to play, having been far too serious for way too long. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she answered him.

 

”œActually I think the possibilities of both of us getting dirty might be high on the list padawan”

*Locke replied, smiling affectionately.*

 

"Excellent. I would love nothing more."

 

*Locke continued to follow his master through the hall, silently trying to think of something he needed from the Q-store.*

Reaching the Q-Store, the pair approached the counter. Kira spoke to the private that was currently manning it.

 

”œCould you get the Quartermaster for me Private.”

[Locke_StarSpanker]

*Locke nodded left to right, indicating that he didn't want anything.*

 

"No, I can't think of anything I need. What's in the box?"

[Kirana Sunrider]

”œCuriosity killed the cat Locke”¦”

[Yue]

After a message though the force was sent & recived he walked over to the com station and sent message.

 

"Kirana you will be on your own on Ossus. Apparently there has been a huge recall of your group taking Delita away from the planet, so to my knowledge it is all yours. I will let you know of what the recall is about when I find out. If you are in need of anything send me a line."

 

End Com

 

The com hand did not pay attetion as Yue made his way though the base. Every thing was set up just like Kiriana had said, but he was still tensed. It has been some time since the attack of Gala, but he knew it probally would not need to be worried... He hoped.

 

One must stay strong.

An encrypted untraceable comm comes in for certain members of the Rebel base.

General Kirana Sunrider requesting a squad of heavily armed personel to meet me on Tattoine. Personel within this squad are to be some of my 'specially' trained members. Bring both sets of the special armour.

 

Kirana Out.

The squad collects the armour and, boarding their transport heads to the co-ordinants sent along with the encrypted message.

[Yue]

After three days of no sleep did he return to his desk to find that soliders were dispatched and have not yet returned. That did not borther him for he didn't question a general or a knight if they needed help. The base planet side and moon side were sound, if anything came there is no doubt in Yue's mind there wouldn't be a problem. He knew though that somthing was coming, what he didn't know.

 

"My mind is troubled considering, the storm for the most part will me for now. Its probally just the lack of sleep, sleep and meditation will fix that."

 

With no other pads on his desk, he retired to his organized room of dirt, oil, and grease. He figured for now it can wait, for a sound mind is needed for a sound body.

A briefing will be held upon my return with regards to a Mission. Organise the briefing room for the meeting.

The transport returns carrying the troops that had left on a previous mission. They have some down time before the next mission so make the most of it.

[Yue]

Yue with a clean room, clean clothes, clean body, and clean mind returns to the main command with it livly and vibirant. He is handed the com from the General and gets into action. He checks on the troops and sees that they all right, but preparing for the next battle. He then preps the ready room with everything he can and has all functions set to high maintince. He then sits down and awaits the return of Kirana.

 

"Well, the storm is comming and it looks like I will have to prove my self. After all in the end life is nothing more than a test of who you are."

 

The light will save us all.

*The Stock Freighter Fundament's Glory touched down at the landing pad on Selvaris. Locke hopped out of bed, having been awakened by the sudden touchdown. He noticed his master sleeping, and decided not to disturb her. Locke went outside the door and leaned up against the wall, silently meditating while he waited for his master to get up...*

Kira woke reluctantly and stretched out. Back to the grindstone Getting herself motivated, she climbed out of the bunk and moved through the silent ship. Exiting, she noticed Locke leaning against a wall.

 

Approached by a private, she was given the message that the readyroom was all set.

 

"Has Evan Kerry arrived yet private?"

 

"No Ma'am"

 

"Very well, dismissed"

 

She turned to Locke,

 

"Looks like we've got alittle time for some more training while we wait for him. Feel up to it?"

*Locked nodded, standing up straight. He stretched his hands while popping his neck.*

 

"You can be certain that I'll always be up for spending time with you. Even if it does have to involve these thrice damned clothes..."

[Kirana Sunrider]

She grinned at him, sounded like his mood had improved somewhat if he was back to that again... she had missed his wisecracks.

 

"Thrice damned clothes? What would you prefer to be wearing then... err... then again... I don't think I want to know..."

 

Shaking her head, she led the way through to a training room. She went over to a panel and tapped a few keys. While she didn't have any battle droids here, the base did have an excellent holographic simulator. She removed her robes and readied her saber.

 

"Ready Locke? We'll have to work as a team with this one..."

 

As she spoke, the simulation began, several holographic 'enemy' appeared...

 

Kira took up a defensive stance, waiting for to see what her padawan would do...

*Locke paused as his master mussed with the controls for the holoprojector.*

 

" ...*caugh*...Golden Bikini...*caugh*... "

 

*Locke didn't like the holographic demonstrations very well. They lacked adequate feedback. He wouldn't complain, however, he thought he could work with it, and he didn't want to upset his master. He waited for 6 basic target to appear in a circle around them, appearing as simple droids with blasters. Locke took a defensive stance with his back to his master's.*

 

"The key is alternation of support and assault. While I attack, you cover me. While you attack, I'll cover you. Simple right?"

 

((OCC Having never tried this before, I can only guess about good ways to attempt it. It would seem that the first stratgegy that comes to mind for an A1(you), A2(me), B(enemy) fighting arrangement would be:

 

A1 Attacks- concludes post with defensive position or force power;

B- retaliates;

A2 Attacks- concludes post with defensive position or force power;

B- retaliates.

 

I'll try to do that here, except we wont have anyone to be B.))

 

*Locke raised his saber, his master doing the same, as the 6 surrounding holographic droids began to fire at them. Locke carefully blocked the oncoming shots, taking a fair amount of concentration to protect himself from the three on his side. He tilted his head and spoke to his master without looking directly at her.*

 

"Cover me."

 

*Locke dove forward, rolling to avoid the rapidly coming holographic blasts, stabbing forward as he reached his feet to disable the hologram directly in front of him. Locke turned as he rose to standing, swinging his saber to block two shots. Locke lept to the wall and rebounded, bringing his saber down onto the second hologram to his master's back. Locke landed on his feet, then threw the saber at the final opponent, disabling it easily.

 

Look out.

 

Locke indicated what his master was to do through the force without realising, diving and rolling while his thrown lightsaber was returning to him. His master knew exactly when to jump to allow Locke to roll under and in front of his master. Locke caught his saber in the center of of the three droids, standing up quickly to become the target of the holograms. Locke defended hastily, drawing as much fire as he could.*

 

"Your turn."

Kira had let the Force take control of her senses and movements, letting the flow control her actions as she felt one with it. She was aware of every move her padawan made without having to 'see' him and as he attacked the holograms he was facing, she defended them against the other three. She let her movements be guided through the Force, anticipating moves the holograms would make as they attacked in unison and working in sync with Locke.

 

As her padawan took up the defense, Kira went on the offensive. She advanced on the first of them, flurrying her blade, deflecting blaster bolts back at the droids and slicing through it's defences. Her pale azul blade cut the droid in two as she refocused on the next opponant.

 

Knowing instinctively that Locke had her back, she gathered the Force to her, leaping up and slashing her blade through the weapon of the second droid, her boot connecting with the 'head' of the droid... It went sprawling on the mats and vanished. One to go...

 

The simple programming of the holograms allowed them to dispatch the last with minimal effort. Kira threw her blade, sending it spinning at the final droid, slicing it twice as it passed through and back again to her waiting hand as her padawan had deflected the blaster bolts it had sent towards them.

 

Shutting down her saber, Kira turned to Locke, approval in her stance and bearing. She winked at him as she spoke,

 

"Maybe I should have placed that on a harder setting..."

 

(Sorry for the lame post, ran out of time and had to rush it.)

*Locke nodded.*

 

"That worked surprisingly well. I was planning on working in some kind of lude response at the end, probably something that complemented you on the shapelyness of your fundament, but I can't seem to think of anything. So- I'm just going to say 'Nice Ass' and you can pretend it was clever."

 

*Locke went over to the controls and just started slamming buttons, almost at random it would seem. He ended it by punching the screen arbitrarily until the program started. Clearly Locke's mastery of tech was something to be improved. Locke moved over to his master, as behind him 10 imperial storm troopers formed, complete with 5 training remotes, and 4 Domesticated Vornskyrs. Locke cringed looking at his master, raising his lightsaber as the sim counted down to start.*

 

"I think I'll let you go first this time."

Kira rolled her eyes at Locke's comment but still couldn't help blush slightly... he was 'back' alright...

 

"Can't help yourself can you... I'm surprised you didn't come up with something worse... and I don't think a golden bikini would suit you Locke..." She raised an eyebrow at him, mischief shining in her eyes.

 

As he returned to her, Kira was focused on a space behind him, watching as the stormtroopers materialised... Uh-oh what's he done... then groaned as she saw the remotes and the Vornskyrs as well.

 

When the holoprojector had been installed, Kira had been very explicit with her instructions... the holoprojections were so lifelike that you could manipulate them through the Force in every aspect. It was a top of the range program that the new base had and now it would put them to the test.

 

"Oh no... Locke... you'll be the death of me I swear..." I guess he wanted more of a challenge after all...

 

Igniting her saber again she took up a defensive stance, her back to Locke as she took in the "enemies" position. Breathing deep and letting herself sink into a combat mode, she stretched out her senses, deciding the remotes had to go first, although it would make things difficult to get to them if all were to attack at once. She opened her mind fully to her padawan, letting him see the combat moves she had in mind while she ran through all the theories of each attack move that might be made against them.

 

As the blaster bolts were fired at the pair, Kira let the Force guide her blade, deflecting the bolts towards the remotes to take the high flyers out first, managing to take the first remote out easily. She flurried her saber, the azul blade becoming a pale blur of light as it connected with the enemies fire, bouncing it back to hence it came. Reaching with the Force she pushed one remote into another, only to stir up the Vornskyrs. They circled the pair looking for an angle in which to strike.

 

The stormtroopers seemed content to stand back and fire on them from afar while the Vornskyrs closed in. Kira stretched out a tendril of thought towards one of the troopers, convincing him with a mind trick to turn on his companions. He took two out and injured another before he was overcome. The first Vornskyr closed in a little too far and was scorched by the end of her blade... it growled angrily and backed off, looking for another avenue of attack...
