::Short range anti fighter laser turrets opened up on the fighters as they closed in, shredding several of them to pieces. The Empire had long ago caught onto the rebellion's love affair with starfighters and adapted turrets accordingly. The real damage, however, was being done to the rebel capital ships. The ion cannons were preventing them from maneuvering effectively as the turbolasers raked into them.::

OOC((I'm not going to post damage, leaving it up to you as long as you do it responsibly. One post maims like Fynn's maneuver on the hanger bay though is illegal, the rockets would have just impacted on the shields. Capital ships have extremely powerful shields, and for the most part it takes sustained fire from a cap ship and several runs from fighters to penetrate the shields.))

((OOC: or it takes a few diamond Boron missles, but that is for another time I think.))

As per request Scorp dropped insystem in order to see what he could do to allievate the situation. He had his reservations about it however he would do or in this cased asked.

Gunning his engines he shot forward toward the action, Had anyone at all been observing him during his ride toward the action they would have thought him to be insane. At first glance it would simply be seen as a guy in a x-wing. Not the most unusual of sights. Yet if the person were to take a prolonged look at the guy insidethey would see him preforming nearly crazed stunts while gunning the engine at full speed. Such as veering away from predeployed mines at the last possible millisecond. Evading a very quick death by the way of millimeters if not nanometers. Yet the most shocking part about it all would only be reveling to a person should they be in his path. If they had such simply things as electro binoculars or even better vision, then most people, they would easily be able to determine that without a doubt, that the guy in the cockpit had his eyes closed. Not only were his eyes closed however but he was in a relaxed position, not hunched over his controls like a crazed man looking for every detail that would present a danger but, more like a man who was calmly cruising through space lines with shields fully up and without a single hazard in sight.

Yet Scorp remained oblivious to the observer even if there was one. Instead he was deeply connected to the force. Stretching out all of his senses he was able to navigate past potential dangers without the fear of exploding in a quick shower of sparks and flame. It was times like this where he could simply feel and not think. It was himself, his instincts, and the force all merged as one, guiding him, directing him, warning him of coming dangers. His faith in the force was all he truly had and while the force babied no one, if one could use it right it would show them the possibilities that laid before them. It is what allowed him to navigate certain dangers with almost no room to spare. He had no reason to worry and thus no reason to exaggerate his movements. He could keep them as tight and as clean as possible without having to ride in simply open country.

A smile smiled was borught to his lips as he pulled the trigger in order to destroy a mine, at long last he had entered the fray and had cleared a path for him to get back out again if need be. Where he had come in at the system the imperial fleet was directly accros for him. Which made it all the eaiser to now engage the fleet as a lone soilder, he had no true orders to follow. granted he could eaisly get a few however he figured he could do what must be done.

Targeting the nearest start destroy he figured a good vollew from his proton torperdos would be enough to weaken if not collapse the shields around the launching bay. As the targeting computer locked on to the Star Destroyer he let loose a serious volley of proton torpedos toward his target. then veering off his designed course he suddenly found himself in a tangled weave of blaster fire.

"Heh don't remember signing up for this."

Pulling out away from the crazed turbolasers he figured it would be best to now set up another attack run.

As Darex swooped down low over the surface, cannons blazing, it took all of his skill and complete trust in the Force to help him avoid the return fire. The Imperials had wisened up to the Alliance's strong use of starfighters...which only made Darex's job harder.

"R6, try and increase power to the shields!" he said, as several blasts came way too close for comfort. His starfighter was meants for space, not the atmosphere, and was much harder to manuever near the surface. He focused on the batteries, firing blasts of his cannons only, saving his proton torpedos for later. It took more laser power, but it worked, and several batteries were taken out.

He brought his ship in low, and had a sudden idea. "Greens 9, 10, and 11, use my target. Aim for the base of that platform." Kamino was a watery world, and any platforms were floating ones. If they could destroy the generators holding the platforms up, they would crash into the stromy seas.

As he got closer to the target, Darex felt that Fynn was in trouble. The Dark Lord was here...and he was after Fynn. There was nothing Darex could do to help...he had to do his duty. So he merely reached out in the Force to his friend's mind, sending strength and warmth to the other Jedi Knight that he'd need to battle the Dark Lord's own strength.

((OOC: Very well, post nulled, I have to admit you guys don't mess around when it comes to the details. I'll try to keep these posts in mind. I mean I figured on stacked odds. ))

"Blast!" Fynn said yelled as the controls in front of him winked out. The targeting computer was fried in a quick succession. The Dark Lord seemed to swoop out of no where. It was improbable, but there was no denying the man's mastery of stealth. "Computer activate secondary piloting system." A small control panel slid from the left side of the cockpit, and Fynn was releved as redundant control gave him some manuverability. Suddenly a deadly spray of fire eminated from the Dark Lords ship. "A fine mess I've made." Fynn said in frustration. In moments he would be reduced to cinders, prematurely ending his attack almost before it began.

"Come on ol' girl, give us one good turn..." Fynn said as he pulled a hard barrel roll, and then cut his left engine. With the addition of a subtle pull of the force the resulting turn was so sharp the Dark Lord could have been forgiven for not believing it possible. Fynn came in at full speed at Ryu, and for a moment it appeared as if Fynn was about to commit suicide. "Got you, you son of a...", He pulled a release lever, and an entire cage of Rockets was relased upon the large Mech. The resulting explosion, was knocked Fynn for a loop and he watched as one of the Mechs wings came flying off. At the last second, Fynn veered right, missing the Dark Lord by inches. Somehow, the damn thing stayed intact. "How the..." Fynn nearly cursed himself as he saw the damage done to the large mechanical monster was not enough. Fynn heard the cries of some of the pilots as the whole task force was being pummeled. "All craft, retreat, use your emergency jump coordinates...begin Operation Lysander. Imperial force stronger then anticipated. I can't go with you my controls are shot..."

Suddenly a blast from Ryu sent Fynn into a death roll towards the planets watery surface. As he descended Fynn sent one last desperate message. "Don't let it end here!" Another blast and Fynn's comm went out. The water rushed up like a waiting hammer, and Fynn had mere moments to eject. He saw a structure less then a mile away, however it was too far to swim. "Goodbye old girl...sorry about all this." Fynn said sadly, as he pulled the eject lever. With small charges the canopy exploded open as The Templar shot through the cloud cover. Fynn's chair jet blasted free of the craft a mere moment before it hit the water. The Templar broke in two as it hit the water, seconds later it exploded as the ordinance on board. Using the force, he lessoned his fall, splashing down safely.

Fynn had to act fast, he knew the Ryu wasn't about to let it go that easily. He needed to get away from the wreckage and fast. He detached from the chair, grabbed a rebreather, and looked for options. There just now sinking was an entire rocket pod containing two rockets. The cage of missiles must have broken from the Templar on its descent. Swimming towards it Fynn pulled the manual release. A single rocket detached, and quickly Fynn grabbed a handle bar used in ordinance handling. The rocket fired, and Fynn was pulled through the water at a dangerous speed. Using the force he was able to guide the ordinance in the general direction of the structure he saw coming in. The plan was simple, find a ship, get airbourne and rejoin Operation Lysander. Fynn wasn't going to die here alone, without even seeing one of his operations to completion.

Scorp's second attack was cut short by a blasted in his comm. Af ynn's last message came out loud and Clear Scorp decided that it was indeed better to follow orders than to press the attack any futher. At least for him anyway.

Pulling his X-wing nito a sharp turn he headed for the Exit vector he had created for himself. Returning his controls to the force, he was estatic that he had made it though again, in a blink of an eye he disappered back into hyperspace.

OOC: Attention Jedi. You are not to OHK Star Destroyers. The only way to destroy a capital ship is through an official duel. In this case, since the Empire doesn't really have any PCs to defend their ships, Dagon would have to run NPC duelists. In such battles, PCs cannot be killed. Hence the importance of PCs.

IC:

General Powell realized that his ships were taking more of a beating than they could hold for much longer. "Rotate and flip, try to get a better array of shields under fire," he ordered. Immediately each of the three ships rolled to offer fresher shields and began replacing the exhausted ones with fresh ones--in such a way was designed the Mon Calamari Starcruiser.

Starfighters mainly formed a defensive screen--this was all about defense. "Signal Mon Calamari on an encoded, secure transmission. We have the Imperial fleet here. The ploy was successful, for the moment."

Ignoring the orders from Fynn before he was attacked, Brad cruised along behind Darex and Green Squadron. "R2, get the scanners on alert for that strange ship. I don't want to be snuck up on by that one." After performing a quick barrel roll to avoid oncoming laser fire, Brad felt a little lightheaded.

"R2 boost inertial compensation while we're in the atmosphere. Give me a faint hint of repulsors and get all repulsorcoils ready to fire when I need them." R2 beeped away behind him, quickly performing the task assigned to him as Brad reached out with the Force towards Fynn. He felt Fynn's presence still around, however it wasn't sure how long he would last.

Brad expertly maneuvered around the oncoming fire from the laser batteries. Targeting computers were no match for a Jedi using the Force. Clicking the comm onto transmit, Brad began to change the attack plan. "Darex, I need you and Green Group to form up behind me and provide cover. I have just the thing to take care of those platforms, but I'll need to focus for it to work."

::With Slicer's transmission, Dagon's suspicions had been confirmed. Work began on Kamino for preparing it for a full scale assault, with shield generators and planetary ion cannons and turbolasers. Extensive minefields are set up in orbit and all military forces are put on high alert.::

OOC((There you go, the defenses were added recently because Kamino is considered a civillian asset and the majority of the population are civillian clones(We haven't started making clone troopers yet. The Sith lab on the planet is hidden, and is not popular knowledge, so from a rebel point of view, this planet has no value other than being a terrorist attack.))

::With the majority of the rebel fighers focusing on the capital ships and surface defenses, they were made easy targets for the imperial fighters. The slower bombers especially were finding themselves no match for the faster and more maneuverable TIE interceptors and defenders.::

Draken seeing the trap that the rebels were in, quickly ordered the gunners to open fire. He had them fire a brief ion burst then unload a barrage of turbolaser fire upon the capital ships. He checked the fire vectors and saw that the rebel craft in the perfect place to be hit.

Draken then looked at all of the small fighters. "Commander tell your men to turn those anti-starfighter turrets on the Rebel starfighters. Wait, on second thought I'm going down there personally. I will supervise the starfighters destruction."

He turned and quickly walked down to the main fighter turrets. He looked around and found the commanding officer. "Corperal, have your men pick out individual targets and fire on them. As well, I want a turret to use for myself. I have a advantage that your men do not have."

The corperal nodded and pointed Draken toward a turret that set unused. Draken quickly jumped into it and set it to full power. He sighted it in and fired once, catching a small damaged X-wing and blew it up. that shot invigorated the crewmen and they quickly followed suit, firing at will at small starfighters with deadly packets of energy.

Draken began to draw the Force to himself as he fired the turret. He began to use the Force to speed his movements. At the same time he reached out over the battlefield. As he did, he felt several lightsider force presences in the field.

He focused on one of the lightsider force presences and found that it was a Jedi Knight. He focused on the presence and opened a small link to the Jedi like he had done in both Courscant and Mechis III. He threw shards of the darkside through the link and then sent feelings of pain and death that the Rebel pilots were feeling to Darex . Then with that done he cut off the link and built mind walls to protect his mind.

Zad's blue orbs scanned the battlefield, his computers sensors performing the same task. His control of the force only went so far, in space he was unable to lock onto anyone Jedi unless he brought his Tie defender in for a closer look. Wiggling his fingers as his sensors caught sight of a lone X-wing. He was sure that back up would soon be arriving to provide him with cover fire, but the young Sith would make sure it did not arrive. He began to speak into his headset, giving orders to his squad.

"Keep all Alliance craft Away from that X-wing. Take out any that get close; if you fail it will be your life at their hands...or mine if you make it out of this."

From above the Jedi a Tie defender came screaming down, yet it did not open fire as most trained soldiers would. The pilot of this ship had a dark taint about him. His hands moved furiously over the controls, targeting Brad's ship. Rather then fire a set of proton torpedos at him, he painted his ship as a target for everyone. The turrets began to read Zad's layout, tracking the X-wing and opening fire upon him.

The doctors looked over the ravaged body of Dominique. They did the best they could, as fast as they could, but there was no way they would be able to repair her body. They also knew it was in the Sith's best interest to get off of this planet and soon. A few minutes later they began to process of transferring her to a ship that would make it's way off planet and too another of the Empire's medical facilities. Perhaps they would be able to do more for her there.

In less then half an hour she was transferred to a ship, Malyss following behind her. Ten more minutes and they had made it away from the city the battle was taking place over. Shortly after exiting into space, the jumping into hyperspace away from all of this.

The battle continued to rage in space, huge arrays of turbolaser fire cutting through the distance between Star Destroyers and Mon Calamari Starcruisers. Fighters were doing most of the engaging, however, E-wing escorts expertly keeping weaker TIEs away from their guards. The E-wing was almost twice as long as a "squint," but just as fast and maneuverable and a whole lot tougher.

The fighter battle was leaning towards the Alliance despite the massive number of TIEs, but the capital ship battle was losing ground.

As Darex's scope picked up a new group of fighters heading in, he felt the presences of several Dark Siders. He quickly issued orders. "Green leader, take half your ships and continue on the strafing run. Target the bottom of the platforms. Use your proton torpedos. The other half, follow me to take out those TIEs!"

Darex knew full well the capabilities of the E-Wings in Green Squadron. They were excellent, sturdy craft, who would have no problem with the Interceptors and Defenders. They also had a large cache of torpedos.

Darex suddenly felt pangs of death and agony. He closed his eyes, reaching out down the feelings to locate the Sith he knew was projecting them. There...a small turret on the hull of one of the Star Destroyers. "Green group, keep an eye out for that crossfire...watch the guns on those Star Destroyers. There is a Sith manning one of them."

He sent out the ID tags on the Star Destroyer that Draken was in. "Keep out of range of that ship!" he ordered.

"Yes, sir," came the acknowledgement. The fighters would keep out of range of the Star Destroyer that the Sith was in.

Darex pulled up suddenly, avoiding a sharp burst of fire from a closing TIE Interceptor. Normally, the Interceptor would have a good advantage over an X-Wing, but not with a Jedi at it's controls. A few quick adjustments and cuts, and Darex was behind the Imperial ship. A quick cannon burst caused the ship to explode.

Darex flew through the fading explosion and targeted several other ships, bringing those to similar fates as their comrade's in the span of several minutes. All around him, Green Squadron was showing their stuff. TIEs were exploding all around him, and the battle continued on.

Just a little longer... Darex thought.

Brad cursed silently to himself as he picked up a battalion of TIEs led by one TIE Defender. This man had a steady lock on him and it was taking enough concentration to keep from getting hit, let alone deliver his package to the Empire. "I've got one on me, I can't shake him!" Brad called over the Alliance Battlenet. Even his expertise was not enough to break this one off easily, and even worse, the planetary weapons were directing fire closer to him.

Blast it Darex, where are you? Brad cursed silently in his head, for he was supposed to have cover from Green Squadron. Deciding they were busy, he was going to get himself out of this mess some other way. "R2, boost power to the rear deflector shields and get ready to cut all engines and repulsors power on my mark." R2 beeped and whistled as he quickly prepared to do as Brad had said. After squeezing the proton torpedo release trigger, some would be amazed to see no torpedoes stream out with their drive trails, but Brad wasn't surprised at all.

"Mark!" Brad called as he closed his eyes and focused in the Force, speeding the modified torpedoes around behind him. They were small enough not to be noticed or picked up on scanners, and when Brad caused all three to collide, it created a massive explosion spreading smoke, dust, fire, and shrapnel everywhere. It was just what Brad needed, a distraction to cloud the enemy's sensors while he ducked away to where he wouldn't be noticed.

The modified proton torpedoes were actually Shadow Bombs, proton torpedoes with their fuel replaced with deadly baradium. The Shadow Bombs are controlled through the Force, therefore they lack drive trails that allow torpedoes to be tracked and would not be detected by others for what they were. The explosion of the three shadow bombs destroyed TIEs caught in the blast radius as the debris peppered the rear shields of the X-Wing as it fell. With no power on the sublight engines or repulsorlifts the ship would continue to fall.

Quickly restoring power to the repulsorlifts, Brad pulled the ship out of the steep dive and sped along, the X-Wings wingtips just above the vast Kamino Ocean. Now he was below sensors and the rotation of the deck based laser turrets. ”œR2, when I turn the sublights on I want you to store our emissions, I don't want anything picking us up to quickly.”

Zadkiel's cursed himself as he pulled up, watching two of the defenders before him get caught up in the blast radius of the odd Proton torpedos. Their lives blinked from existence, but not without purpose. Their lives were sacrificed so that the Sith they were serving could be all the more wise about his enemy. What ever the weapon was, it had caused the Jedi to temporarily disappear from his sensors. Rather then fly low and get caught up in a trap, Zad took the high road.

Rain crashed down onto every inch of his ship as his sensors scanned the area below him. An explosion rocked one of the platforms about six hundred meters in front of him and one hundred down, instantly he went into a dive, pulling up just before his ship crashed into the surface of the ocean that spanned the entire planet. The X-wing that had delivered the blow was just returning to formation as Zad arrived. Irritation rose in him. That formation was supposed to be broken and scattered all about.

The Young Sith pulled back on his control stick, moving upwards to piece through the dead center of the E-wings and X-wing. Closing his eyes he reached out to the force, pulling up horrific images and letting them flow into the minds of the Jedi Brad as well as the pilots around him. Their concentration would be broken as the image of a young woman appeared. By all accounts she was stunning for a human, as was the man before her. The man was Zad, but they would not know this...No one but a Sith would know such a thing. From his belt he pulled a dagger, dragging it across the woman's throat and watching as the blood sprayed out; her jugular severed.

The break in their concentration would be just enough for him to release his clip of proton torpedos. Just as they began to fall back to the surface he manually detonated the entire clip, causing his own shields to falter a bit as he escaped the majority of the blast radius. Pulling back, his ship performed a back flip before diving back down at the ships, peppering them with his laser fire.

It takes two sides to make war. It only takes one side to make a massacre.

You cannot escape me.

His damaged ship puttering overhead, Kakuto's body hit the water with an unheard splash--Far ahead of the path of Fynn's rocket. The mask he carried now saw use again, covering his face and filtering oxygen from the water. He pulled a clasp to undo his robe, and with the slow cloth no longer weighing him down he bolted through the water, swimming after his prey with grace unnatural. His lightsabers had not been modified to work underwater, so instead drew his twin daggers from their sheaths at his waist. Then, closing his eyes he checked for Fynn's progress.

Kakuto couldn't help but admire Fynn's resourcefulness, but the fact of the matter remained--he was riding a bomb. Stretching out with the force, Kakuto compressed the water in Fynn's path, quickly forming an invisible wall in his way, with tension enough that as the rocket veered into it the warhead was triggered, setting off the bomb and ending ride before he could reach land.

Sure that Fynn would have the sense let go, Kakuto shot through the water toward the explosion, prepared to take Fynn apart piece by piece.

Darex rejoiced when Brad rejoined their group, but then grimaced as the ship that had been tailing him began mental warfare on Green Squadron's pilots. He watched as the pilots were distracted by the images that Darex easily--although not without sympathy for the imaginary woman--blocked out of his mind. He reached out with the calming effects of the light side, and managed to get some of the pilots back on course. However, three of the ships were lured into the trap and destroyed.

The blasted Sith just wouldn't leave them alone. Darex made a quick decision, and opened a channel to the other Jedi Knight. "Brad, we've got to handle this guy. He'll just keep preying on our pilots. Let's take him together."

He reached out with the Force and initated a battle meld, which would allow the two men to work in tandem with each other without having to waste energy on verbal communication. He switched back to the standard channel in time to recieve a report from Green Leader. "Jedi Darex, we have successfully destroyed two more platforms, in addition to the one Jedi Brad took out."

"Acknowledged, Green Leader," Darex replied. "Continue the assault. Blue and Fushia Leaders, send your sqaudrons to join the attack."

The leaders of the Alliance's squadrons from the MC-90a's acknowledged. "Let's go, Brad," Darex said.

He brought his X-Wing in beside Brad's, and the two ships headed directly for the Sith's own fighter, lasers blazing.

Thunder rolled in the heavens of Kamino, as the whole planet seemed to feel the conflict in skies above and the space beyond. Waterlogged, bruised and soaked to the bone Fynn held tight as the rocket he latched to carried him at breck neck speed. Fynn felt a dark presence in the water, and behind him a huge hyrda-like creature followed, desperately seeking a meal. It was unnatural, and Fynn could sense the creature was the work of the Darkside.

Suddenly, he could feel him...Ryu the man's energy burst through the water like a demon in search of hell. Fynn had known the man back on Malturous, and was amazed how little his presence had changed. It was still the maleviolent massive power influx of dark energies that could be felt for miles. How his soul had managed to remain without falling into the black hole that once was his heart amazed Fynn.

Suddenly, the hair on Fynn's neck stood up. Thier was a wall when thier should be none, or so the force told him. Fynn yanked the war head release lever and angled downwords, the rockets explosive yield skipped once twice and then exploded as it hit a force wall. Meanwhile Fynn was being pulled deeper and deeper. Thier far above him was Ryu, doing his best to find him, at 50 meters, Fynn let go and began to rise slowly. However he realized to his horror that he was in double jeporady, the large predator like mollusk closed in on him from below with amazing speed its' snapping jaws and eight huge arms like the mouth and arms of a gaping evil maw.

Fynn thought fast. Either rise to face Kakuto who he was clearly outmatched against, or be eaten alive. 'I should have stayed in bed this morning'. Suddenly a flash of inspiration grabbed him, as well as a tentacle that grabbed a bandilier on his waist, threatening to pull him into the waiting jaws. Fynn struggled to find the release as the creature opened its mouth wider to swallow him. As he released it, the creature try to swallow, narily missing Fynn's left leg. he used the force to keep pace with the creature as it closed in upon him again. The dark lord could hide his presence why couldn't he. Fynn did his best to disguise his force signature. He neared Ryu, who by now could feel the confusion of the force below him, a huge dark beast and a small speck of light?

Fynn burst through the surface leeping what must have been a good 10 meters. The technique had worked...barely. The Dark Lords blades must have missed him by less then inches, still he had survived the ascent. He landed a short distance away splashing down into the violent surface.

"Ryu!" He called through the raging storm, trying to warn the man of the creature below him. Fynn began to swim for his life, trying to beckon Ryu to do the same. However the Dark lords' thirst for the death of his percieved enemy seemed to blind him. An instant later the large Kraken-like monstrosity poked through the surface, it's arms desperate for some morsel...any morsel. This was no mere animal to be controlled, the darkside that raged with it drove it insane with hunger. It grabbed Kakuto, wrapping it's tentacles around him, confident that this time it's hunger would be satisfied.

Draken smiled as he felt the jedi cringe, but he wasn't satisfied. Draken felt the presence of another Sith that he was familar with. He reached out and sent a dark push toward him as a greeting. He then re-focused his mind on Darex.

He concentrated on him for a moment before feeling the battle meld. He studied it for a moment before finding a flaw. He realized that through the bond, he could hurt either one or the other. He quickly reached out and felt around Darex's cockpit and saw that there was a loose switch inside the back of the cockpit.

He took hold of it and wrenched it off of the console. The switch gleamed sharply in the light of the cockpit. Draken smiled to himself and slammed the broken switch into the side of Darex's head. The switch cut deep into his scalp leaving a gaping wound.

Grasped by the great sea monster, Kakuto found himself a touch perturbed. He was a resourceful Jedi indeed, to have put Kakuto at the mercy of one of his own Krakens, but for this defiance he would see no mercy.

Kakuto stretched out his hand and the Kraken, quickly stopping it from moving further by tapping into its natural Darkside taint. The massive creature twitched with uncertainty, relaxing its grip on its greatest master.

"Twit."

The knife from his left hand escaped his grasp with a torpid flick, the rockets in its base igniting to propel it through the water and into the head of the beast, where it rolled through and scrambled the creature's brain. Freed from its failing grasp, Kakuto quickly swam away from it and after what was almost the escaping Jedi.

From the surface of the water Fynn was met with a horrendous and sudden pain, a sharp steel spike embedded in his calf. From that spike trailed a braided durasteel cable, and at the other end of that Kakuto's split open mechanical arm. Hooked by the Dark Lord's infamous grappling weapon, Fynn was dragged under again.

Like a viper, the Dark Lord struck quickly, rearing upward and plunging the second dagger into Fynn's throat. A quick pull on the blade ripped it out through the side of his neck, leaving his entire head dangling off its perch from a thin slit of jagged tendon. Lifeless now, the Dark Lord dropped the body and let it sink into the ocean--sure that though this body was dead and gone, he would hear of this Jedi again.

Kakuto Ryu, the God proclaimed Daemon prince, took up his swim toward the land mass--a floating Kaminoan city on which his ship had landed. He scaled a service latter through the churning storm, and entering the facility he quickly found where his imperial citizens worked to bring his ship back to a good functional condition...

Fynn's lifeless body drifted in the highwaves and massive currents of the planet of Kamino. His blood formed a small wake of red in the white foam. He had known that jedi were to die, but the thought he might not return had never peaked his mind. He was now paying for whatever arrogance brought him fighting with the Dark Lord of the Sith.

His lightsaber was pulled of by a scavaging fish, and then let go as it was realized not to be a morsel of food. The silver hilt shone as if it were ignited sinking lower and lower into the depths. As the hilt sank deeper, it dissapeared into the briny deep a symbol of the life force of Fynn that now receeded into nothingness once more. A last thought shot through his dying brain...Keep-

((OOC: Ummm...darth_shadowlord? There's a couple things wrong with that...one, you can't break into a battle meld, so don't even think about it. Second, I find it highly unlikely that you have the intiricate control to seek out a tiny fighter from your SD, find a little switch, then have the control to hit me with it. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Third...well, you'll see... ))

IC:

While his X-Wing blazed towards the Sith's own fighter, Darex heard a sudden and unexpected clang. He whipped around, seeing a switch from the interior of his ship bouncing off of his standard-issue X-Wing pilot helmet. He raised his eyebrows. It had hit pretty hard, and he suspected had his head not been protected, it would have left a pretty nasty gash in his head. It was a good thing, he reflected briefly, that the 'hanger mothers' were always reminding pilots to wear their helmets.

Alert to any more attacks from the hidden Sith in the Star Destroyer, Darex checked his systems. The switch that had broken off was from his targeting computer--thankfully, a system Darex could do without. Nevertheless, he called back to his astromech. "See what you can do about the computer," he said. "I'd like to have it operating again."

Suddenly, Darex felt a pang through the Force. FYNN! he called out. But it was a mere reaction. His friend was dead. But there was no time to mourn now. The Dark Lord of the Sith had killed him, and he couldn't be allowed to get into space.

"Brad, you'll have to take this one on your own. Take Greens 10 and 11. I'm going to join Green Leader on the surface and see if we can't take out that main platform." He said the words aloud, though Brad would understand his reasoning.

He turned his ship around and flew towards the surface, evading the fire from the few remaining defense platforms. "Green Leader, have your ships aim for my target."

He found the main floating platform. There were many Imperials on it, and Darex knew that if they succeeded, the Imps would die. He was regretful...but this was war. Darex dampened his Force-presence, trying to avoid the Dark Lord at all costs. He flew down to the bottom of the large platform, trying to keep above the crashing waves.

Once he was in range, he fired four proton torpedos, and using the Force, guided them to their target. They impacted, destroying the generator that held the floating city aloft. He pushed his throttle to full as the city began to crash, falling into the waves.

"He's gone, there's nothing we can do," Brad called out to Darex through the Force. Fynn's death was once again felt by Brad as a large ripple in the Force. The man behind this campaign now dead, most likely mutilated by the barbaric Sith. It was hard for Brad not to switch into a state of bloodlust against the Sith, but his Jedi training helped him to overcome the anger. It was necessary to remain calm in combat.

Ducking and weaving between streams of laser fire, Brad flew, daring the Sith tracking him to follow. R2-D7 was shrieking behind Brad in the astromech socket, yet Brad zoned him out, using the Force to aid in his piloting. The two members of Green Squadron had broken off from him before this, not wishing to dive into the maelstrom.

Finding a opportunity to get behind the Sith, Brad took full advantage and rounded closely around the side of one of the MC90a's in orbit. The large ships blocked him from view, and as close as he was flying he would be nearly impossible to distinguish from the large capital ship. As he came up underneath the massive warship, he eased the stick slightly, lining up for a clear barrage on the TIE Defender. "I've got you now!"

Gently squeezing the trigger, Brad let loose a barrage of laser fire against the TIE. The alternating laser cannons let loose a good field of fire against the TIE at a very fast rate. The powerful lasers peppered the hull of the inferior starfighter, and when Brad slightly pulled the stick back the X-Wing's lasers rose just enough to be able to cause damage to the cockpit and upper most wing of the TIE Defender.

((Just so you know... Tie Defenders FAR outclass an X-wing, so your ship is inferior not mine. Next time, try to acknowledge my last attack in your post, kthx))

Zad's hands quickly maneuvered over his controls, adjusting the power of his shields to focus on his rear as he dived downwards away from the fire of the Jedi's X-wing. His ship was far greater then the old style X-wing so he was easily able to slip into a downward spiral, pulling up in just enough time to avoid a collision and get in behind the Jedi. The other, stronger Knight had broken away from the battle and gone after another target. In order to stop that one from doing any more damage, he would have to kill this one.

"I really hope that Jedi isn't a human, it will make this all the more sweeter."

Zad reached out, commanding the force to bow before him. The sudden rush of darkness was invigorating, filling him with a new power, sharper senses, and better reflexes then before. His sole goal in life at this point in time was taking out the foolish little being piloting the out of date machine before him. Once again he painted his target for the remaining AA turrets to fire upon and they did such, lighting his shields up and weakening them considerably. Zad performed a simple barrel roll to the left, spraying the Jedi with his own weapons as he did.

One of the turrets broke through his shields, hitting his left side. It was obvious the blow had hit him hard and the Sith that had been behind him the entire time took advantage of such and put everything into his next shot, his shields powering down for a few seconds afterwards. The single shot hit home, blowing apart the X-wing. The display was brilliant, but he could not watch as he had to avoid the explosion else he become a part of it.

"Form up with me. We've another Jedi to seek out."

[OOC] I'm not a fool, I know what TIE defenders are. It seems you are the fool in this situation. Perhaps you should read what people's ships are before you (attempt to) destroy them so easily, especially when someone gives you an opportunity to respond. An XJ3 X-Wing, especially one with modifications like mine has, would not be destroyed by a TIE defender.[/OOC]

Brad grinned triumphantly from the cockpit of his XJ3 X-Wing starfighter as the TIE defender veered off course. The foolish Sith had fallen for the same trick once again. As the Sith pursued him more and more heavily, Brad had released one of his three remaining torps and used it to create a decoy in order for him to break off and join with an X-Wing squadron to hide for a bit. With his Force presence drawn in very closely, he suspected that the Sith believed him dead.

"R2, it appears he destroyed one of our stabilizers, see if you can lock it down," Brad called back to his astromech droid. When the droid didn't respond with his usual, cheerful beep Brad turned around to find a heap of scorching metal. The TIE must've broken through his shields around the droid, destroying the astromech beyond repair.

Now, however, was not the time to mourn the astromech's deactivation. With the droid Brad couldn't make the jump to hyperspace, therefore he made a course for his Corellian Corvette. Entering the access code, he quickly entered the hanger and shut it behind him. The Corvette didn't seem to take to much damage over the battle.

Brad pulled his comlink off of his belt and called R6-T6 on the bridge. "Begin plotting our course R6, I want it random enough so we can't be followed. Continue to keep the ship away from the main part of the battle and get down here to the hanger once we're ready to make the jump." The droid responded cheerfully, similiar to the destroyed R2-D7 as Brad went about the hanger, trying to begin repairs on his battered X-Wing.

As the city slowly disappeared into the waves, Darex felt the wave of anguish in the Force from the dying Imperials. He jerked and his face twisted in pain. All those lives...slowly drowning in the waves...others being viciously eaten by sea creatures...

He blinked hard. What am I doing? What are the JEDI doing? How can it possibly be the will of the Force that all of these lives should be blotted out? The thoughts came fast and furious, distracting the Jedi Knight. Suddenly, he pulled up, but not quick enough. A turbolaser blazed by him, grazing his left wing. His ship rocked, and his astromech shrilled a reproach.

He shook his head, trying to clear it. As painful as it was, he had to get out of here...then he could face up to what he had just done. He had to remain focused long enough to regroup with the others and get back to Helix...

He pulled up, instructing the others with him to do the same. "Re...re-group with the rest of Green Squadron," he ordered, his voice rather shaky.

"Are you alright, Jedi Darex?" came the voice of Green Leader.

"No," he replied, "but I'll be alright until we get back to the base. Watch your backs, and regroup at the rendevous point. We've made our statement, and the Dark Lord is stranded here until the Imps can pick him up--his ship is at the bottom of the ocean. Let's get out of here. Once you've regrouped, head back to Helix immediately."

He recieved an affirmative, then repeated the message for the whole Jedi and Alliance task force. "General Powell, this is Jedi Trevelian. Retreat and fall back to Helix. We've held out here long enough...time to get out."

He throttled up. His left cannons were completely gone, as was a good portion of his wing. He was in no condition to fight, and he still sensed the presences of the two Sith out there. One was bent towards him, and Darex knew he had to get to hyperspace before the Sith reached him, or he'd have some tricky flying to do.

He had his astromech send the hyperspace coordinates to the nav computer, and began calculating the charts needed to get back. Just a few more minutes... he thought. Need to get out of Kamino's gravity well...

He dumped all cannon power into his engines, since he didn't need it any longer. This increased his speed even more....

Seraphim had gone along with the rest of the group to Kamino and flown along with Green squadron. So far he had been lucky, coming out of his runs mostly unscathed. At least, physically. All of the death and destruction was taking a toll on his morality, eating and gnawing away at his conscious until it finally began to effect his physical body in such a way that made it difficult to fly. When Darex finally formed up with him, he opened a direct comm with the man.

"Master Darex...I...I can't do this. I can't watch all of these innocent people die just so we...The Jedi, the Alliance...can strike back at the Empire and Sith. I came to save lives, not watch as thousands meet such a brutal end.. Requesting permission to return to Helix..."

It was obvious by his tone of voice he was pleading with the Jedi. He couldn't take this, perhaps he wasn't built out to be a Jedi. . . But he hoped it otherwise. He hoped this is not what a Jedi was required to do. He wanted to protect, defend...Save the innocent, help those who needed it the most. He was fully prepared to turn his back on the order if This is the Justice they served. They were no more then executioners...Hopefully Darex would be able to explain their actions.

((*Yawn* Brad, last I checked you can't just ignore what I post if you don't like it. Your shields were down, meaning yes.. A Defender can take you out. Kthx But whatever. I will see that you get yours one way or another because I am vindictive like that))

Only one squad remained and they were heading for space quickly. This would not do. Zad hit the throttled and rocketed upwards towards them. Five Defenders formed up behind him with a squad of Tie interceptors launching from one of the hangers that was still undamaged on Kamino. Shifting power from his main cannons, Zad's ship began to quickly catch up with the other ships that were trying to exit the atmosphere. His long range sensors reported a Corrilian Corvette in the system.

"All remaining planetary turbolasers and Ion Cannons, Redirect your assault upon that Warship. Now!"

The sky lit up as the various blasts began to pummel the shields of the ship. It would not last long if it did not get out of the system, but either way it would not be able to assist the Jedi he was after. Being that his cannons were down with power diverted else where, the young Sith was forced to lay into the Squad with his ion cannons. At this altitude they had No hope of surviving a fall, surely. The first ship went into a downward spiral, soon it would slam into the oceans of Kamino and the pilot would be dead that very same second.

Focusing on the force he reached out to the minds of the five behind him, their minds becoming like one so that their attacks would be more effective. His targeting system locked onto another of the ships, flipping up the small cap over his stick he fired one of his Proton torpedoes at it. The ship exploded in a fiery ball, shrapnel shooting outward and hitting the other ships. With that he laid into the Jedi's ship, his Ion blasts flying wide and hitting here and there. The Jedi was a good pilot, most others would be on their way towards the surface by now...

With two final blasts, he watched as the blasts slammed into his back engines and his R2 droid. If he was any kind of pilot he would be able to coast down towards the surface and eject to stay alive. Otherwise his life was over. Pulling back on his stick, Zad let his own ship go into a dive after the Jedi, comming ahead to notify others a Jedi might be crash landing nearby.

((I despise ship to ship, Let's take this to a slippery surface . I will land shortly after you.))

It takes two sides to make war. It only takes one side to make a massacre.
