“Cathar warlords lack the means to pass through the veil of death and threaten their daughter’s romantic interests. You would know me as Dagon, Allfather of the Krath sorcerers and once a Dark Lord of the Sith. I guess you could say I retired champion. And I was quite alive when I sired Ailbasí, although the pairing did require Sith alchemy, human and cathar couplings don’t provide the most stable hybrids without help. And blood sacrifice. Totally worth it though, she’s brought so much joy to her mother and I.” Dagon regarded the man enigmatically before speaking again. “A response of ignorance is an honest response. And I know my daughter well enough to know that if she was done with you she would have already kicked you off her ship. Just understand if you pursue this path, I will expect you to stay the course regardless of any harrowing tribulation. Sith are often easy to desire and hard to love, and you will need to be ready for the hard times. The dark hours of the soul, watching her come home covered in blood but refusing to offer an explanation, times she oversteps in trying to fix things with the Force. All of this and more is ahead of you, and you need to decide if you are willing to face it.”

Aboard the Best Behavior, a spectral figure manifested in molten orange light. While the Jedi were more than happy to sacrifice eternity to be finger puppets for the Force, a properly trained Sith could persist through defying the natural cycle and anchoring himself to the mortal plane through people, places, and objects of import. With Ailbasí away from the ship, Dagon’s ability to affect the world around him was limited, but he had enough power to accomplish his objective here. He observed the sleeping figure neutrally for a time before flicking a trio of ghostly bullets at him. Despite the orange light they would feel like ice and despair to the living, and the man bolted upright in the bed. “I’m going to ask you questions, and if I don’t like the answers, these are going to start coming at you a lot faster. Now what are your intentions with my daughter?”
  3. Dagon cocked his head slightly as reports came in over the TacCom, the rebel fleet had arrived further away than expected from the station, allowing them to prepare for the minefield, but making them far more vulnerable to operation Downfall. Dagon made his will known to the acolytes, and then opened a channel to the troops that stood at the ready on Ziost. "Today will be a day of days. Today we not only stand against the insidious threat of the rebel terrorists, but we move to end its brutal reign of terror and bring forth the better galaxy we have all striven for. Your training, every battle, every life sacrificed on the altar of freedom, has led you to this moment. Fight with the valour and discipline that have served you in victories past, and we will emerge victorious, we will extinguish the flames of war and create a grand society that will surpass all those that have come before. No longer will our families live in fear, no longer will the lives of good men who sought only to protect what they believed in be spent in battle, no longer will we despair that the galaxy is a place of only war and terror. Today is the first day of the new order. Prepare for jump, and good hunting, warriors of the Empire." The very planet itself shuddered as technology and sorcery came together to make Ziost the key to victory.
  4. An unassuming shuttle arrives at Ziost with unique cargo. The cargo is swiftly taken to the lower levels where the Dark Lord resides. "If you'll excuse me a moment, Darth Arcanus, pressing matters have moved to the forefront. Go to the ritual area and make yourself ready for the coming storm." Dagon approached the crate before him. Everyone has their own demons, and this man's had manifested as doubt and despair. He thought he could not lead his bretheren in battle, so he handed the title off to another, a traitor to his people that betrayed the mandalorian code of honor. Only a desperate measure could right things and restore honor to the mandalorian warrior people. The crate opened, and Dagon levitated the corpse to the center of a ritual circle. The circle was cut into the ground, rather than laid out in metal, and as Dagon threw a lever, the circle lines began to fill with blood mixed with herbs and poisons. As Dagon began to chant, the air thickened and one could see dark shapes moving through blackness, gathering. The blood bubbled and writhed in ways that should not have been possible and began to rise up and over the body in a dome of blood and oily black shadows. Inside the dome, darkness and gore crept down in spiraling tendrils, worming its way into the eyes and mouth of the body like black serpents. The body began to convulse as if in the midst of a seizure, until at last it gave up its prize, the tormented soul of the warlord Vihk, bound to its corpse by its lost honor. "How heavy the weight of leadership must have been, with the Republic setting in upon your people like jackals, making their very survival uncertain. Its a terrible burden for anyone to bear, and I can forgive you for buckling under that weight, for I am merciful and understanding. I offer you now the chance to redeem yourself and save your people from the oathbreaking tyrant that now rules them. You know what must be done, now I give you the means to do it." With a final invocation that carries that power of a thunderstrike, Vihk's soul is lifted from its fleshy cage and placed inside a work of terrible beauty. A bipedal mechanical killing machine that stood over twice the height of a man, it clutched in each hand a massive vibro axe that could fell a Krayt dragon in a single blow. Mounted on its gauntlets were a pair of hellthrowers, capable of delivering terrible bale fire at great range. Upon its chest was a repeating imperial stun blaster to weaken its opponents before it rent them asunder.
  5. "I would be honored to stand by you at such a momentous event in your life. As for coloration, there are components that one can mix with the alloy to create the specific color effects, or their's always paint if the armor is meant more for ceremony and appearance than battle." Dagon gave Draken time to consider his options while he addressed Nokrt. "Excellent work, now that you have begun these first steps into the deeper complexities of Sith sorcery, I want you to endeavour towards mastery of one of the arcane disciplines, whether it be an element such as pyromancy or geomancy, ritualism such as curses, or channeling. More of the archives have been unlocked for you to continue your studies, and I look forward to seeing the path you choose to first follow, then to blaze yourself." OOC((Your last post was excellent and I look forward to reading more, this time I'd like to see you develop where you'd like your specialty to be, where you distinguish yourself from other Sith and declare your own individuality.))
  6. "The most important lesson towards the attainment of power within the Krath is to understand the full breadth of the resources under your command, and how those resources can be applied to your situation. Wisdom and cunning are powerful tools on the battlefield, enhancing one's effectiveness tenfold. A powerful warrior can fell ten enemies with ten blows, a wise sorcerer can fell ten enemies with one blast of lightning to the metal floor they're standing on. As a member of the Family, you'll have limited access to the Krath libraries. That access will grow as you come to understand and master the energies that you control. This orb will be your key to that repository of knowledge, once you touch the orb it will bind itself to you and respond only to you." Dagon handed Nokrt an orb with a polished black reflective surface, swathed in cloth so that Nokrt would be the first to touch it, and therefore establish a bond to the arcane device. "To begin your in depth studies, review Tarkeer's Mastery of the Elements, Katrakov's collection of essays called Rites and Rituals of the Dark Side, and Sadow's texts, especially Shadows of Power. Apply the concepts of the texts to your own methods and return to me to demonstrate how this new information has affected your methods, how your power has grown." OOC((None of those titles are canon so don't go on a tear looking for them. The point is to establish that your character is well read in theory and application of the Dark Arts and to provide a springboard towards learning new Force powers.)) ====================== While the new Krath began his first steps into the world of Krath sorcery, Dagon found himself drawn back to his work in the forges. Draken approached the Dark lord requesting a private audience, and Dagon nodded signaling that Draken should talk while he worked. Through will and ritual the Dark Lord laid out the framework for a new set of armor. Years of experience allowed Dagon to craft armor that would surpass other smiths in terms of durability and yet move with ease and lightness that they could not match. Within the armor was a complex system of mechanical performance enhancers, allowing the wearer to move with heightened speed and agility. The metal itself was a hybridization of Sith steel and laminium, which when combined with alchemical techniques would allow the suit to "heal" itself, expediently if Dagon could focus solely on repairing it. Throughout the armor was a repulsor harness that would allow limited flight, augmented by his mastery of the Force. Inside the breastplate was a personal shield generator that could provide limited protection against enemy fire. Additionally, the suit was sealed against vacuum and had oxygen in case of EVA. Magnetic grips were in the boots and a chembond tether would provide extra protection from unexpected forces. Next, Dagon forged two gauntlets, one with a hellthrower mounted into it for taking down heavily armored foes, the other with a "tickler", a device that emitted energy that destabilized volatile components like the baradium in thermal detonators, causing a premature detonation. Both gauntlets could turn aside blaster bolts if necessary, and had alchemically augmented talons that could cut through most materials like a hot knife through butter. On one shoulder pad was a micro guided rocket launcher, with two types of rounds, specialized gas rounds designed for a very specific purpose and DEMP rounds. the launcher was mounted in a way that allowed it to track targets seperately from the armor's movements. On the other shoulder was a heavy duty engineering cutting laser, capable of chewing through a durasteel door in no time. The helmet of the armor had all of the usual components of Dagon's command suites, encrypted comm gear, scrambling, multiple view modes both technological and etheric, smart grenade ID, etc. What was unusual was the red crystaline matrix and inset patterns on the faceplate. With an application of will, the user could turn wrath into energy, literally giving him looks that could kill. After the armor was completed, it was treated heavily for resistance to heat and fire, and painted in black and dark red tones.
  7. "I stand now before the crucible, ready to be reforged in the fires of knowledge and insight. My passion shall be honed to a razor's edge, a tool to be wielded in the pursuit of power. My distrust shall be replaced by the Dark Family, with Fathers to guide me, Brothers to stand by me, and Sons to pass on my teachings to. I will resist the temptations of the path of the godbeast. I will face my demons, and they will know me as master. I will command the world around me, Destruction will be my sword, Creation my armor. I will study the past to master its secrets, not be bound by its rituals. I will pursue all avenues to power without letting the scars of the past sway me. I am reborn a Son of Krath, pledged to the teachings of the Dark Father, and to the eternal quest for knowledge. To this I swear beyond the boundaries of life and death, as I walk the eternal path and join the ranks of the wise in the halls of eternity."
  8. "Please follow me, sir." The black protocol droid strutted towards one of the massive elevator platforms that provided access to the forge beneath. Descending into the subterannean realm of the Krath, what began as simple warmth was soon a sweltering, almost tangible heat. When the platform stopped, a meter thick durasteel door opened like a gaping maw, making one wonder whether it was to keep people out or keep something in. A plethora of sounds escaped into the elevator shaft, sounds of industry and metalwork. This was a place of the elements of creation. Dagon stood backlit by a fierce inferno, the fiery countenance of his armor lending him the appearance of some ancient god of fire and steal. The armor itself was black with molten lines of red and orange, and fire licked the surface in eternal hunger. The helmet's face was that of a viscious feline predator, and black smoke issued forth from the "mouth". "With every ending comes a beginning, and so to does a man's life end and begin when he chooses a new path and leaves the old. The way of the Krath is a path steeped in mystery, power, and discipline, leading to mastery over both the world around you and yourself." Dagon gestured and a large silver ingot floated into view. With an application of will, the silver melted and reformed, forged by the sheer force of Dagon's mind. The ingot thinned and widened, adopting the shape of an inverse tear drop. With another gesture, the silver cooled rapidly and adopted a mirror quality. Finally with a nod of his head, the point drove into the ground in front of Nokrt. "Kneel before yourself and prepare to receive the oath of the Family."
  9. "May the Force be with you, brothers." Dagon's helmet hid his disappointment. A chance to end this bloody waltz had passed because the Jedi still jumped at shadows. How many more would have to die on the altars of self righteousness and repression? With an application of will, the shadow form of the Dark Lord was gone, and the Jedi council chamber returned in its ordered, sterilized state.
  10. "I come to you seeking aid because the Republic at this juncture is more likely to turn on both of us than the Empire. The Empire is a creature of law and order, stability and precedent. If the Empire establishes that the Sith and Jedi will be equally tolerated and accepted, then that is what will happen. The Republic, however, is a creature of public opinion and political gain, they will turn on you when it suits them. And it will suit them, they're politicians, deceit and betrayal is in their blood. More importantly though, ff we remove the threat of war, the Sith and Jedi can return to what they were originally meant to be, exemplars of the two sides of the Force. Already strides have been made towards this direction, lead by the Krath sect, a group of sorcerer mystics more interested in the accumulation of knowledge than prosecuting some ancient war that no longer needs to be fought for survival and fails to offer any substantial gain in seeing to final victory. We have today the chance to end this war between our peoples. This is what matters most. It is my belief that the Empire will be the best setting for this peace to occur, given the Emperor's move towards tolerance and emphasis on stability instead of conquest, and the Republic's descent into genocidal conquest. Besides, given the fact that we have not heard from the Senate in some time, and savage direction that the Republic military has taken, what the real choice may be is between Emperor Rustic and Emperor Starlisk. I know that Onderin has been trained in the Jedi arts, so I must ask you, do you trust him. The reclusive nature of our order is such that we do have Sith masters... unaccounted for, and this would not be the first time the Republic has been infiltrated."
  11. "Yes, a terrible fate looms before us. But before I speak on it, I wish to tell you of my position on the matter, so that you may put my words into perspective. I was born on the Imperial world of Kuat, which has always supported the Empire. When I completed my training with the Sith, like many other young Kuati men, my sense of patriotism lead me to service in the Empire's armed forces. While I found glory on the battlefield, as a scientist and doctor I found myself being drawn to other pursuits. Using favor that I had accumulated with the Empire, I took directorial control of Kamino and began establishing it as a medical hub. The never ending cycle of war had grown fruitless, but I figured that I could create a more lasting legacy through something outside of the war, a non partisan entity that would be protected by its neutrality enough to make a difference. We were preparing to send out our first phase of disaster response teams when the Republic came. Despite being a civilian target, there was no mercy. Republic starfighters targeted the repulsor engines on Kamino's cities, plunging them into the depths of the planets oceans and killing their citizens. No terms of surrender were offered and no chance for evacuation was offered. While the facilities on Kamino have been rebuilt, the losses of life and culture were unnacceptable, let alone the personal losses of those who had family and loved ones planetside. When justice was called for regarding this attrocity, none could give it. The Empire was already prosecuting a war on the Republic, and the officer that perpetrated the slaughter had connections both with the Jedi and the Republic. Justice was denied. After Kamino, I left the Empire and the Sith for the private quarter, where I could choose the battles that I fought in. For a time, it went well, as the Jedi grandmaster was able to look beyond my past affilliations, giving me the freedom to pursue what was just, rather than what was the party line. It spared me from being associated with the procession of mad emperors of that time, but fate conspired to change my course again. The same officer who had ordered the attack on Kamino, who I now knew to be Grand Admiral Starlisk, initiated an attack on the shipyards of my homeworld, Kuat. Again, no terms of surrender were offered, nor was there any attempt to evacuate the civillians. As you may know, Kuat has three major shipyards, two civillian and one military, and the combined population of these installations actually far outstrips the planet. The Republic fleet made no distinction between the civillian and the military installations, destroying them all along with the workers inside. Again, justice was not pursued. Since the massacre at Kuat, I began compiling dossiers on war criminals on both sides, Starlisk, Faust, the AVATAR program, and other names of lesser fame but certainly not lesser brutality. When the time came, I left the private quarter and returned to the Sith order, both to pursue my own agenda regarding war crime, and to create a new, higher path for Sith to follow, one that pursues knowledge and truth over mindless slaughter and other hollow distractions. With the order leaderless and directionless, it didn't take long for me to attain my position and begin enacting changes. Which brings us to now. The Jedi order is in danger. Not from alien invasion or religious pogrom, but from the very Republic it aids. Most likely you have sensed it too, a great battle is coming, one that will forever change the face of our galaxy. If the Republic wins, then the people that allowed these attrocities to occur will have absolute power, and even more concerning, these people will believe that mass murder can be justified, acceptable if it suits their needs. These are people drunk on righteousness. Now let's pursue that path further down the line. You'll have a civilization built on that very same belief that they are right and that what they have is worth killing civillians with impunity. The Jedi will be forced to either stand by and do nothing, or speak out against the inevitable "necessary" slaughters and find themselves enemies of the state. If this war has taught us anything, it's that neither side can truly succeed in eradicating each other, and that alone should be enough for us to reconsider our little endless waltz. Beyond that though, I think both our orders have lost their way. Too long have we focused on the extermination of each other, when together we could accomplish so much more. Regardless of the outcome of the upcoming battle, I'd like to explore the option of an alliance between the Sith and the Jedi. The Emperor has been made aware of the importance of the upcoming battle and has authorized me to speak on behalf of the Empire in regards to the future of the Jedi if they support an Imperial victory. The Empire will offer full pardons to any Jedi that step forward, they will not be haunted by past decisions or affiliations. After the battle, the Jedi will be reinstated as keepers of the peace, tasked with protecting the innocent and maintaining order through diplomacy and wisdom. Additionally, Krath archaeologists are willing to work with the Jedi to uncover and document sites of Jedi and Sith importance. With galactic peace and peace between the orders, at last we will be able to answer ageless questions about our past and turn back the fog of ages. Finally, the Jedi will serve as a watchdog group to ensure that the galactic populace is protected from its own government. Should the Empire fall into the hands of those who would misuse its power, together we will restore power to wiser custodians. Since Emperor Deton has come into power, the Empire has made great strides towards becoming a bastion of justice, foregoing the ruthless and violent tactics of the past to unite the galaxy under its protection. With the aid of the Jedi we could could bring about a golden age of knowledge and prosperity for the galaxy unrivaled by any other civilization. Join us, and together and we can fulfill our destiny and restore balance to the Force."
  12. OOC((I've gotten Jedi approval to do this and the "phantom manifestation" can't do any harm, its essentially a holo comm but through the Force. I figured this would cut down on time till the final battle.)) "What about advice from distant family?" The voice came out of the ether, almost as if a chorus of unearthly voices were speaking in unison. The room visibly dimmed as a ghostly phantasmic form coalesced into being, the unmistakeable armoured visage of the Dark Lord of the Sith. "I think we can all agree that this moment is long overdue. I wish to address the council about a future that will have consequences for us all. It is my deepest desire that we can put aside our differences in the face of a common threat to our orders." The phantom regarded each of the Jedi in turn with quiet intensity.
  13. Massive excavation begins on Ziost to prepare for the temple. As it is going to be a Krath temple, massive elevators for carrying large bulk components are installed, leading to cavernous halls below. Generators were installed, both power and shield, to create an interlacing web of overlapping protection that could reinforce where ever the attack was pressed. A Celeris system is installed in the planet, with the most precise nav system availible. Planetary ion and turbolaser cannons are installed to make the skies unfriendly for any unwanted visitors. Massive charged metal plates cover the surface of the temple, collectively coating an area miles across. Around the perimeter, Viper division snipers learn the terrain and sight their weapons for a more interpersonal approach to defense. They then proceed to plant stockpiles, in case of extended battles. Edit---March 20th--- Ionization towers are raised to create a web of energy if they are activated all at once. A net for a larger catch. Workshops have since been installed in the underground area, along with supplies from Silence V. In one such workshop, Dagon could be found working as he had done so many times before. This time, the Dark Lord was revisiting the Empire's original power armor designs. The real fruit of the research had been the Lancer armor, a suit designed for engaging starfighters and rapidly relocating, but Dagon wanted to rework the design for a more stand up fight situation. The first step was a full servo skeleton, as opposed to the upper torso arrangement of the Lancer. This would allow a more stable firing posture and allow for heavier armor and weapons. Next an ammunition "drum" was added to the back of the suit, with a line running to the rail gun, which was modified for rapid fire. The rounds were depleted uranium armor piercing bolts four inches in length. An over the shoulder fletchette cannon was added on the left shoulder, feeding off of a slightly smaller ammo cache on the back. The left arm on this model retained the physical matter shield of the Lancers, although a variation schematic was placed in the computers for a second rail gun. Finally, the shield generator was upgraded to a heavier model that could be focused. The first suit off the line was done in phrik alloy, but all those that followed were constructed with more cost effective materials.
  14. Seeing the Sith go down, the mass of imperial troops on the bridge fill him full of rounds so that he can't be interrogated, before opening fire on the rogue republic commandos.
  15. With the admiral subdued, a darkwatch the imperial troops began processing the surviving rebel troops and crew for disembarkation from the Inevitable. Onderin was sweeped and scanned for traces, weapons and tools that may be used for escape, after he had been sheltered in an emergency vacu-seal blanket used for massive armor breaches in vacuum. The Onderin in a blanket was loaded on to a shuttle with pariahs to ensure that no problems occurred in transit. Dagon left orders with the imperial troops as he departed to oversee other matters. When Onderin was transferred to the medbay on one of the Star Destroyers, he was implanted with neural control chips that would prevent his use of the Force, and could adapt to neural rerouting, an old prison technology that had long been gathering dust in the Empire.
  16. OOC((Since regardless of the ruling, Onderin's killshot attempt happened, I'm going to go ahead and do my defense post and respond to other events in the thread. When that matter is resolved, I'll make another post specific to those events. Dagon's ability to sense incoming "sniper" attacks is documented on his character sheet.)) Sensing the intent of the gunner, Dagon and his escort ducked into the bridge, where the Mon Calamari's newly refreshed shields would protect them from the two paltry blasts. It was unlikely that any more would be coming, given that the gunner would likely be restrained for firing on a friendly ship because "The voices in his head told him to". The Inevitable bridge team notified their sister ship that they had a rogue gunner firing on friendlies. Meanwhile, a comm came in from a ship identifying itself as a Jedi transport. The bridge relayed coordinates suggesting a microjump to get into position for a tactical shift the fleet was about to coordinate.
  17. The two Sith didn't travel more than a few feet when they came to a stop and were placed within range for magnetic seal. The light show had worked exactly as predicted, driving the fugitive into a snare he did not see. The best lessons come from family. One of Dagon's uncles had been an illusionist during good times and con man during bad times, and he had taught Dagon that the eye and the mind always follow the flash, to the exclusion of everything else. That's how a deceiver works, flourish with one had, do the job with the other. The Sith, the Mandalorians, they were all flourish, employed to distract the enemy from the true threat. Flanking from a number of directions, Darkwatch pariahs deactivated their camo fields and unleashed stun blast after stun blast on the unsuspecting admiral, while their unspeakable presence ripped the Force from the room, depriving the admiral of his attachment to the Force and filling him with unnatural dread and nausea. Behind him, the blast doors closed and were frozen shut as Dagon still the air around them. In the bridge, Darkwatch slicer teams recovered mission critical data and files, along with past logs and anything else that might be of use, before beginning information warfare on the rebel fleet. With access to the rebel command suite, havok amongst the rebel fleet ensued. OOC((Capture shot requested.))
  18. OOC((If there had been more Jedi here to balance things out, I would have accepted your duel, but as it stands, there's no logical reason for Dagon to engage you one on one when he has three other Sith standing around doing nothing.)) So, then you are a coward as well as a butcher. If you had surrendered we would have withdrawn and left your remaining crew alive, but your selfishness has doomed them to our continued presence. Spider Division troops were called out onto the hull to assist in re-entry and combat support, and through a combination of thermal gel and cutting lasers, began burning through the durasteel panels that had covered the broken viewport. When the panels were sufficiently weakened, Dagon yanked the panels off, once again exposing the bridge to the harshness of the abyss. Now, it was time for a virtually unknown Sith secret, rarely seen and never survived. Reaching out through the Force, Dagon imbued his dark energy into Torin and Darth Arcanus, to the point where energy crackled around them like lightning. Raising them up, he thrust them forward at ludicrous speed into the bridge, where they became whirling dervishes of death and destruction, radiating deadly power that would strike down anything that their weapons did not. SITHDOKEN!
  19. Traditionally, the objective of a boarding operation was to get to key points such as the reactors and the bridge as quickly as possible, but Dagon wasn't a traditional warfighter. As the rebels scurried about making defenses along these traditional paths, the imperial troops moved virtually unnopposed to their objectives. Each task force headed to their predetermined combat objectives in the fore and aft of the ship, where they planted high explosive directional barradium charges, set to eliminate the primary support struts of the ship. As soon as the specialists were clear, cataclysmic tremors ripped through the ship, making the Inevitable buckle so hard that she broke her back. When the smoke cleared, the boarders and the path to the bridge were isolated from fore and aft by vaccuum and smouldering wreckage, cutting off rebel reinforcements and the approach of the Sith hunter specialists. "Spider Division, Parallel and Breach, cutting for effect, build the web. Drake Division, follow the rabbit hole and burn the excess. Venom, move for counterstick, hunt for show, smoke to the web. Darkwatch, ghost main with killfold, masked vengeance." The enigmatic warriors of spider division set about cutting their way into service ducts and maintenance tunnels off of the traditional paths around the ship. Whenever pockets of resistance were encountered, Spider would create breaches that spaced the unsuspecting enemies, establishing a web of depressurized routes through the hull to kill their prey. Reaching a destination was not the goal, only the systematic slaughter of the opposition. Drake division followed the tunnels and mopped up survivors, anyone with a mask and a good grip that wasn't immediately sucked out was burned alive is a wave of plasma. Venom Division handled mines and turrets, their years of experience at ship combat giving them the the precision discipline needed to engage such well dug in foes. Surviving rebel observers may have thought that the Sith and Darkwatch troopers were retreating back to the shuttles, but in truth, they were navigating back to the outer hull, where their Sith support on the Indomitable cloaked their presence. The force moved out to the hull, protected by vaccuum suits and staying on the hull through mag boots, and began heading for breach point omega. The Mon Calamari, like most ship designers, favored a method to increase the combat awareness of the bridge crew at the cost of hull security. A large transparisteel dome allowed the commander an unparalleled view of the battle, aided by by mesh superstructure to allow even greater awareness. Unfortunately for the bridge crew, it also meant that when the Dark Lord came knocking with a surge of dark side energy, the weak point shattered, turning an excellent view into a deadly ravenous beast of nothingness, callously sucking out anyone not secured into the abyss. Darkwatch opened fire with phased pulse rifles, taking down the remaining. Since vaccuum prevailed, Dagon communicated through the Force to the rebel commander in a seeming chorus of voices that made it impossible to pinpoint his location. By the power of the Galactic Empire, I'm placing you under arrest for grand war crimes against civillians and military non combatants. If you surrender peaceably you will be accorded judicial protection until such time as your trial can take place, at which point you will be at the mercy of galactic justice. Should you resist, the full force of the law will come down upon you.
  20. OOC((Long range comms at Krayiss II are jammed))
  21. The imperial fleet at Krayiss II received advance comms from its reinforcements in Invictus element and modified their grav well projectors accordingly. Undoubtedly alrms began blaring and shouts of surprise went up when three Nebula class star destroyers and twenty lancer frigates appeared with pinpoint precision to rain down fiery wrath on the weakened shields of the Inevitable. The star destroyers moved to engage the flagship and deployed Predator TIEs and missile boats while the Lancers took up station to shred any fighters insane enough to come to the flagship's aid. Comm crews jammed any outbound transmissions to prevent any warning of the Sith's arrival to the field. Dagon reached out with the Force and bonded with the gunnery systems of the Invictus element and guided their fire, surging the power of the dark side into their blows. Before Dagon had risen to become Dark Lord of the Sith, he had been an imperial R&D scientist, and he understood ships inherently. He knew how they worked, where they weak, where to press and where to focus. With inhuman accuracy the ships hammered down on the already weakened shields at the points of most drain. When Dagon could sense that the shields were ready to buckle, he ordered a concentrated missile strike on the cracks, sending reverberations through the ship as the shield was overloaded. The window would be brief with the crew undoubtedly readying the redundant shield generators for placement, but the opportunity for boarding was now availible. Boarding shuttles were launched, loaded with Darkwatch veterans, Nova Darktroopers, and Venom, Spider, and Drake Division troops along with Sith ready for battle. Impacting along the hull of the ship, they cut through the bulkheads and popped smoke, using optics to designate targets and filling the halls with concussion grenades and plasma decksweepers. All of the troops were equipped with vaccuum ready armor and mag boots in case the rebel commander tried to vent the ship. The strike forces all knew their targets and were prepared to hit them hard. It would be some time before any support could be called in, so every man had to show his worth. The battle for the Inevitable had begun. OOC(( Invictus Element consists of three nebula class SDs with Predator TIEs and Missile boats. Two additional elements of ten Lancers each. For those of you who don't remember here's the information on the imperial veteran divisions. Venom: CQB specialists with heavy armor, shields, jet packs, scatter guns, fletchette weaponry and disruptors. Spider: Urban combat specialists with carbines and laser torches and heavy explosives for making holes. Have light shields Drake: Plasma thrower troops with incendiary explosives that excel at getting rid of troops in tight corridors. Heavily armored but use portable shield walls instead of armor shields. Also, if you're a Sith that came with Dagon and not Alora, you're on the Inevitable. The new elements at the battle are temporarily under the imperial commander's jurisdiction, so if the empire loses they are accountable for losses.

  23. With a flicker of pseudomotion, Invictus element, on loan from the one of the imperial battlegroups, appeared over Serreno. "Our chariots await. Let us show the enemy the price of their barbarism." After docking, Invictus element heads for the conflict.
  24. The Starweaver briefly stops at Serreno to allow Darth Arcanus to rally additional forces.
  25. An ecrypted comm comes in for Dagon and he springs into action. A simple nudge in the Force to the masters notifies them that he requires their attention. "Brothers, I've just received word of a Republic attack on one of our sacred worlds, Krayiss II. Additionally, republic forces are moving on the planet of Ilum, most likely in an attempt to gain access to the crystal resources there. Master Furion will go to Ilum and remove the head from the snake there. Draken and Darth Mortus Diabolus will accompany me to Krayiss II to shatter the crown jewel of the rebel fleet to pieces." The Sith depart with haste to join the battle. OOC((Torin, if you're active again, feel free to join us at Krayiss II. Instructers, its up to you if you want to bring any of the apprentices or if you want to use an NPC trainer while we handle the terrorists. I left the last post vague in case any master that's going to Krayiss II wants to take their own ship.))
