Carida

Darth Heretic

Recommended Posts

A pair of Sentinel-class landing craft appeared from hyperspace. Their destination... The Carida Military Base. On board was Scubby and his Company of the 501st. Ninety out of a hundred left... They'd taken relatively light losses compared to some on Tatooine.

Activating the comm Scubby patched through to Carida Command.

"Command this is Scubby of the 501st Omicron Company. Returning to base from Tatooine. Requesting permission to land."

He sat back in his chair. Awaiting the answer...

Madi knelt beside the Imperial officer. The officer's sightless eyes stared up at him. "Like old times Master Galen," Madi said coolly, his tone sarcastic as he dressed, his hands shaking slightly, partially from nervousness and partially from anger. The release of anger and hate had been quick and less satisfying than he thought. In his mind he kept replaying the scenario, finding a small amount of pleasure in the surprise on Galen's face when Madi had stabbed him.

His hands brushed against the scarified tissue that encircled his neck. His hands lingered on the old wound then quickly fastened up the uniform. Memories overwhelmed him, and as he stood to his feet Madi staggered back. He could still hear Galen's voice and feel his master's touch, as his hands took liberties that made Ibra cringe. It had been many years but being in Galen's presence had brought back a flood of terrible memories.

Madi looked down at the corpse of his old master. He felt compelled to kick the corpse. His boot drew back, but a sound made him stop, he held his foot in mid-swing, listening. It was the clear tap of military boots against the shiny marble tiled floors. The sounds passed, tapping down the corridor outside of Galen's quarters. He exhaled and let his foot drop to the floor. Leaving the Imperial officer laying in a pool of blood, Madi left the room, he forced himself to walk along casually as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. He had been in the process of returning to the hangar but noticed that security had been upgraded since he had landed. A new arrival perhaps? He watched as troops were arrayed on the hangar floor as if on parade. A group of stormtroopers passed him, hurrying to get into formation. "Where's the commander?" one asked the other. "Probably still in his quarters.." was all Madi heard as he walked away.

Before long Madi found himself leaving the base and entering the dark forest that framed the Imperial post. He had shed the flight suit and was dressed in military garb. He clutched at the blaster rifle he was holding as the forest seemed to grow in around him. Strange sounds and noises could be heard in the jungle-like undergrowth and Madi found himself quickening his pace. He really had no idea where he was going, just that he needed to get away from the base. Through the tops of the trees he could see a dark outline, a structure rising from the jungle. The young man began to walk towards the structure. Behind him, he heard a far-off sound, something akin to a roar. Madi picked up speed and tore through the jungle, dodging the creepers and vines that sought to choke or impede his progress.

Wide-eyed with fear, Madi burst from the jungle and stumbled into a clearing. He fell to his knees gasping for breath and coughing hoarsely from his exertion. As he caught his breath, Madi became aware of the structure that sat in the center of the clearing. It looked oddly familiar even though he couldn't place it. Rising to his feet as he glanced about curiously, Madi felt compelled to have a closer look at the structure. He shouldered the blaster rifle and approached the structure. When he got close to the entrance-way he could tell it was some sort of religious structure. As his eyes ran over the building its heavy front doors began to swing open...

Admiral MacLeod sat in orbit around Cardia in the AcklayII. His Star Destroyer was the ship that received Scrubby's comm. His reply was short and crisp. "501st Omicron Company, Permission to land is granted."

With that comm sent, Luke turned to the Captain. "Captain, send a comm to Supreme Commander Goeth, reminding him about the Imperial Navy's presence. Dismissed." The captain turned and went to send the comm while Luke proceeded to the forward observation port.

Geki sends a comm to Supreme Commander Goeth.*

'Supreme Commander. Where is the Grand Admiral?'

Luke acknowledged the comm from the Supreme Commander and immeditaly had an escort scrambled for the Emperor's escort. Geki's escort was none other then the Admiral's own squadron. Onyx Squadron was by far Luke's best choice for the Emperor's escort as they were a crack squadron.

"Captain, comm the Interdictor Cruiser and have them activate the gravity wells. Also have my shuttle prepped, it is time I go meet the Emperor. Dismissed."

A short time later an Imperial shuttle descended to the surface of Carida and Luke headed into the Imperial Headquarters to await the Emperor and swear his allegience.

Goeth glances toward Jedai Geki and watches in mild amusement as Nokrt walks into the room at the same time Geki asks his question. Amon merely nodded his head in the direction of the blue scum.

”œI believe he is right there, if you'd like to have a few words with him I can arrange a more”¦private and suiting setting for the two of you.”

Nokrt graciously enters the Mess Hall to see a luxurious banquet prepared in order to commend the new Supreme Commander on his promotion. Foods and Ales of all sorts are splayed about the long table and men of the divisons are digging in and indulging themselves in such fine things that their manner is barely prepared for.

I never got a feast...

The Chiss looks up and sees another man enter the room beside the Supreme Commander. He was Jidai Geki, but he was not the same as he was once before. He had changed, his soul darker, his power strengthened. The prometheus obviously had gone. Nokrt turned toward his superior and tensely saluted for what he knew would be some of the last times in military service. He awaits the return of the salute and stands ready for this proceeding to begin.

Det returned to a training facility where his troop subjects were intently working on their skills as fighters and inspected the ranks. He stumbled across several troops who were involved in a shouting match that turned bloody. His smile turned upside down - and he approached the jarring troopers.

"May I inquire as to the problem?" Det asked them. immediately they began to blame each other in order to back out of a jam - but Det wouldn't hear any of it. He placed an arm around each trooper. "Now, now, we can surly get along can we? In order to fight the enemy we need to avoid fighting amongst ourselves. He looked to other troopers standing nearby. Let this be a lesson learned for all of us." both the troops standing next to him grasped their necks and tried to breathe - then collapsed the floor in death. "Now you can easily get along."

He motioned to other troopers - who grabbed the dead ones and took care of them. "Gentlemen we need a full inventory check to report to Supreme Commander Amon Goeth immediately. you have 20 minutes." The human Sith then proceeded out of the facility and geared up for his mission.

*Geki gestures, and Norkt's weapons are torn from his clothing and deposited in the arms of an unwitting stormtrooper. The stormtrooper scurries away with them.

Geki turns towards Goeth and raises an eyebrow questioningly.*

'You didn't relieve our former Grand Admiral of his weapons?'

*Looking back towards Nokrt, Geki transfixes him with a dark, reproachful glare.*

'You are clearly unaware of the bounty on your head, or you wouldn't be standing here now. You are charged with dereliction of duty, desertion, and gross negligence on the field of battle. Do you have anything to say?'

Jambe woke up on the cold floor and his head felt like it was pounding. Rising to his feet he felt his stomach groan. Slowly walking around the hallway, Jambe was able to find the mess hall. Grabing a tray he walked down the line and found some food he would enjoy. Sitting down at a table in the corner by himself and paid no attention to anyone.

Looking up every once in awhile to see who walked through the door. Looking around alittle he noticed alot of troopers on base recently. "Something is going down wonder what it is?" Jambe said to himself. Turning back to his food Jambe slowly finished his food.

Once on the ground Scubby didn't take long to debrief his company and send a report to his senior officer. Plenty of slaves had been retrieved... Even more captured Hutt troops... Whatever they were needed for it had been a good haul.

Once back in the silence of his room the Imperial Officer considered his next move... Waiting for orders...

As if to reinforce the Emperor's words, a flicker of pseudomotion marked the arrival of the Redawn of Vengeance, the ship under the possession of the Mandalorian bounty hunter known crudely by the name ShadowFett. As he brought the ship out of hyperspace, he scanned the area and detected the inevitable Imperial armada hanging above the planet, a truth that he soon after confirmed visually. It was hard to miss a Super Star Destroyer.

Fett opened a comm to the Imperial command ship. "Imperial Navy, I have evidence that the traitor and former Grand Admiral Nokrt has come to this system. If you are unaware of this fact, I'd advise you to search the planet in order to detain him."

He, of course, intended to do the same, but first he would await any information the Empire had to tell him.

"My lord, I sent a messenger to inform you that I intend to retire, wich is why I came here today, all my belongings which are now Imperial Property reside within this case sir. I made no desertion, and the gross negligence and dereliction is due to an amount of insane fits I have come to bear over the past year which is the reason I am retiring. I am unfit for military command any longer. Under my direction men will only be harmed further and Supreme Commander Goeth would do a much better job than I could any day."

The Chiss stood their in his torn robes defenseless. He was unaware of a bounty on his head. He didn't even realize his life meant that much to the Empire anyways. Either way Nokrt's lightsabers were now in the hands of a Stormtrooper and should the Emperor turn violent there was not much for the Former Grand Admiral to use against him.

'I don't want your excuses. Your failure to cow the Hutts and your flight from Tatooine after receiving a direct order have sealed your fate. Such incompetence and insubordination will not be tolerated. You know the penalty for your crimes, Nokrt. It is now time to pay your debt to the Empire.'

*Geki raises a hand, and bolts of purple-tinged lightning leap from his outstretched fingertips and ground in the hapless Chiss. His body convulses as he is wracked with pain, froth quickly forming at his mouth, and Geki's face twists with conflicting rage and perverse pleasure at the discomfort of the former Grand Admiral.

The hundreds of stormtroopers in the room watch as the punishment is carried out, bright flashes of light reflected in the impassive plasteel of their helmets.

The electric scourging lasts for ten minutes. It seems like a lifetime.

Geki subsides, the portion of his face visible twisted with rage, and the smoking body of Nokrt drops to the ground, the Chiss still breathing but in unimaginable agony.

Geki glances at the Supreme Commander.*

'Have him tortured and executed.'

-----------------------------------------------

*A comm is sent to the bounty hunter Shadowfett.*

'Redawn of vengeance, the situation is under control. Unless you have any other business with the Empire, you are instructed to leave the system immediately.'

"Understood," ShadowFett commed back. It seemed like they had already found the traitor. There was no doubt that he was headed for a painful death at the hands of the Empire--the kind of death that a traitor deserved. Fett stood for nothing if not loyalty, first to oneself and second to one's superiors (superiors being a strictly rank-oriented term in this case--Fett has served under those who were his inferiors in other aspects).

The Mandalorian turned his ship about to face the way he had come in and, checking the holonet, decided on another bounty to pursue. Soon, his ship had disappeared into hyperspace.

A worldly amount of pain scourged through the Chiss as the Emperor sent vast amounts of force lightning through his body. The feeling of having yourself fried was not a pleasant one but for an odd reason it did not make the Chiss impassable, only infuriated. His eyes glowed into a deep red, acting as a sort of beacon in the room. As his screams intensified so did the power of the force surrounding him before the energy burst forth sending everything (and everyone) in the room flying away from him.

"Now Geki, you had your chance," said an unfamiliar voice, deeper, more distorted, as if the voice of satan himself arose within the Chiss, "I did not plea for my own life."

A smirk crossed the Chiss' face and in that moment he duplicated himself 9 times. Each of them gave Geki the sadistic grin Nokrt himself had just given and with a wave of his hand they each began attacking the Emperor in force. Using a vast amount of movements Nokrt learned not only from his mother but his former master Zadkiel this fight was surely beginning to pick up.

Nokrt had plans only to leave this place.

Flicking his hand toward the stormtrooper carrying his lightsabers they flung back to him and once in his grasp the resonance of their Red and Purple blades filled the room as the Chiss Lord advance on his majesty.

"Leave him!" announced the unfamiliar voice of the Chiss, "Kill all the others."

The Chiss minions turned and began decapitating and torturing the stormtroopers in the room but oddly enough Amon Goeth was left alone. He was not to be a victim.

"Now Geki, it seems you have recieved some of your power back. Show me your true potential."

The Chiss laughed abhorrently and turned his blades toward Geki.

OOC: My reasons for a relatively cheap kill here will be explained in the Galactic Empire thread.

IC: *Geki gazes impassively at the Chiss fool as he sought to best the Emperor in illusionry. An ill-advised move, given Geki's recent intensive training in the manipulation of the mind.

Reaching out, Geki stabs at the former Grand Admiral's mind here and here, seeking out the source of the inexplicably solid replicas and shattering them in an instant.*

'You dare stand against your Emperor?'

*Geki moves, and in less than a second he is standing before the Chiss traitor. A snap-hiss later and the Sith Lord is less all four of his limbs, his lightsabres skidding across the smooth floor.*

'You were a fool to come here, Nokrt. More foolish still was daring to defy me. Your death shall be an exquisite symphony of agony.'

*Geki clamps a gauntleted hand to the Chiss coward's face and unleashes hell, pure malevolence concentrated into electric form, directly into his exposed visage.

Geki closes his eyes and samples the sweet sound of Nokrt's unearthly howls as his eyes fry and pop like overcooked eggs, as his brain is wracked with shooting bolts of pain, as synapses are overloaded and roasted by the Force lightning.

Geki intensifies the blasts, never relinquishing his iron grasp, until the room is filled with the stench of smoking flesh.

Finally, it is done. Nokrt's head hits the ground with a hollow thud, nothing more than a blackened, grinning death's head with smoke curling from the eye sockets. The Chiss has been completely obliterated.

Geki stands, glorying in the thick taste of burnt flesh in the air, revelling in another kill.*

'I would have preferred a more fitting demise for our dearly departed Grand Admiral, but needs must. Supreme Commander, clap his body in gibbets and display him outside.'

My official ruling on Geki's actions is as follows:

An attack post was made by Geki, Nokrt conceded damage and pain of the force lightning. In Nokrt's post he cloned himself and retaliated, and then Geki killed him. While somewhat lackluster and a move that Geki himself even described as cheap, it is still valid and not an OHK.

Nokrt is dead, see you in 3.

Landing yards away from the accademy Jambe slowly headed towards the accademy.

OOC: Somebody needs to let me know exactly what the deal is with our Navy- how many craft we have, etc.

IC: *The former Grand Admiral's foolhardy and reckless speech is observed on the holonet. A message is about to be sent to the Csillan garrison when Imperial HQ receives their message first.

Geki listens grimly, infuriated by the presence of the Hutts above the system. An example would have to be made of the Chiss.*

Goeth watches the entire display between Geki and Nokrt with an indifferent expression. He had never been fond of the blue man, but then he had never been fond of any race but his own to be honest. Humans were, after all, the dominant species in the Galaxy and such had been proven time and time again.

A note is prepared for Det informing him that there has been a change of plans, but to still gear up. They are going to pay a visit to the Chiss.

A flicker of pseudomotion marked the arrival of a small, nondescript ship, unimpressive in all ways and more the sort of thing a civilian would fly than the being that was actually behind its controls. That being was the Sith Master known simply as Haphaestus. What he truly was, few knew. For now, he was just an armored being, completely impersonal and inexorable.

Haphaestus piloted his ship with professional skill towards Carida and opened a comm on an Imperial frequency. "This is Master Haphaestus, reporting as requested by Emperor Geki."

Haphaestus piloted his ship into the indicated hangar and set it down so lightly that not a tremor passed through the ship. He stood and strode down the boarding ramp, his dark cape trailing behind him ominously. His archaic plating glistened in the dull, artificial light of the hangar as he walked with long, controlled steps away from the ramp and to the officer that was waiting for him.

He was directed to see the Emperor himself, and this mandate Haphaestus was not willing to disregard. He had been summoned by the Emperor, and the Emperor was to see him. Without a word or even a nod, the Sith Master began to head for the Emperor's position. He didn't even need to hear from the officer where the Emperor was--it was hard to miss Geki's presence in the Force.

The strange being, having a clear organic presence in the Force but with a calculating and solid mental signature that matched the presicion of his movements as droid-like, radiated a Dark Side presence that belied his power. He was indomitable, indefatigable, inexorable, even impossible and all but indestructable, and he simply knew it. And so he felt no particular need to consort with lesser beings, for he was a perfection of all things a human typically lacked sufficient capability in.

Haphaestus neared Geki's location swiftly, observing his surroundings without turning his head as he walked. He tainted the air through which he passed in a way that no non-Force user could detect, such was his presence of evil and malice. But so controlled were his emotions and alignment that never did they hinder his judgement, which was more solid than the phrik he was encased in.

A door slid open before him and he found himself facing the Emperor. He bowed before the mere human, offering respect to those who he needed to, whether they deserved it or not irrelevant. "By your command, Emperor, I have come. What is it that you require of me?" he said, his tones as precise and expressive--almost artificially expressive--as if he had spent a lifetime of constant speech to perfect them.

*Geki regards the bizarre, grotesque melding of flesh and metal before him. This Haphaestus was obscene. He was a freak. He was a symphony of perversity, his inherent wrongness a sumptuous canvas of unbelievable beauty to Geki's twisted eyes.*

'Master Haphaestus. A pleasure to see you.'

*Geki turns away and paces towards the window, talking all the while.*

'Master Haphaestus, the Empire fights hard to regain her stature. Much like the phoenix, she struggles to be reborn and to vanquish her enemies. But much like any birth, there are the inevitable birthing pains.

'In order to counteract this and serve the Empire's chief and overruling mandate- bringing order to chaos- I have need of competent agents. I have need of men-'

*-Geki catches himself and laughs mirthlessly-*

'-of beings such as yourself. Master Haphaestus, I would ask that you swear fealty to me, and aid me in cleansing this galaxy of our enemies. Namely, the Jedi heretics and the Rebel scum which ride their coat-tails like the opportunistic, amoral criminals they are.

'Tell me, my friend- can I count on you in the hard times ahead?'

If Haphaestus had been capable of smiling, he would have. Still, the emotion that usually caused an organic to smile was there, emanating from his half-organic mind and flowing through the organic parts of his body. The Emperor was asking him to be something that he was already and giving him the means to be such with opportunity.

The Sith Master bowed for not the first time since entering the room. "I will serve you, Emperor, as I would Nurgle himself, as I would a superior," he said. It was a curious statement, and Haphaestus' organic mind warned him that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to declare superiority to one he was swearing to serve, though his mechanical mind found the appropriate phrase for the situation "Honesty is the best policy." Haphaestus straightened. "You will never be without a competent enforcer as long as I continue to operate. For chaos is death and order is perfection. Leaving crime without punishment is unnacceptable, and heresy carries the sentence of death."
