  1. Lord MacLeod

    Kashyyyk

A comm came in for the Dark Lord with a Imperial code to mark it. The message contained three words and carried an attachment with it. --For your attention--
  2. Didn't realize how long it had been. Will add history later. 3. ((Apologies for being away so long, Internet connection was spotty for a bit)) Luke watched as the Valern Dream and the Battle of Vontar were taken out of the fight and nodded proudly. He had been a little worried for a few moments but was pleased to see that his worry had been for naught. “Commander Matteri, send my compliments to the Hand of Valor and the Glory of Cardia. They are ordered to advance til they are abreast of the Immortal Dream and to place their shots with percision. They are free to use their tractor beams as necessary to attempt to move the pods.” “Aye Sir” He turned from the window, his eyes had noticed a flaw in the enemy defenses. “Lieutenant Morin.” “Sir?” “The order packet I gave you, you may carry out the last order now.” “Yes Sir, I will require ten minutes to finalize the plan.” “You have eight, Lieutenant.” Luke watched the Lieutenant leave the bridge and turns to Commander Matteri. “I hope that you haven’t grown overly attached to your personal shuttle. I’ve ordered the Lieutenant and a hanger crew to gut it and install several more substantial fuel cells inside it along with a significant amount of explosives. You see the enemy has a left a fatal flaw in their defenses much like a hutt alway will. You see they protect the body that is visible, but they leave the softer underbelly that slips along the ground less protected. So it is with their ships.” He pointed to small ridge near the engines. “There is their underbelly. The shuttle has had a droid piloting system installed on it and under cover of the fighter and bomber wings will fly out on a ramming run that will blow a hole in the ship large enough to send several boarding teams across to the enemy ship. While they conduct internal sabotage to distract the enemy forces, we can launch the full boarding parties. Although as I said it will come at the cost of your shuttle.” The commander looked a little annoyed at the loss of his shuttle but nodded. As he did, Luke’s comm chirped. “Send.” “Sir are you in range of a secure hologram unit, I have someone here who wishes to make a change to your plan.” “Very well.” Luke strode to the back of the bridge and activated the privacy shielding then opened the terminal. As he did a young fighter pilot appeared with the rank of a squadron commander on his shoulder. “Sir forgive me for interfering but I figured out the plan as they were cutting me out of my Defender.” Luke studied the fresh wounds that were visible on the pilot, he had been badly injured in the fight and looked to be having trouble standing. “Sir I wish to fly the shuttle in and avenge my squadron. The droid is good but I am better.” Luke chuckled as he heard the bravado in the pilot’s voice then frowned as he watched him waver. “Mortal?” The pilot nodded slowly, “Sir I have six pieces of shrapnel in me, one of which is an inch from my heart. I wouldnt survive the surgery. At least this method offers me a chance to finish the battle and save the lives of my fellow pilots. “You know I can’t let that happen, I have no guarantee that you would survive to impact. I’m sorry lad.” The lieutenant stepped into view. “Sir, there is a way. It takes a moment to wire the droid system to be online but secondary to the pilot but in the event that his brainwaves go offline then the droid takes over.” Luke ran his hand over his jawline for moment and traced the scar on his face. “Very well. Squadron Commander, these are your final orders. You will fly the shuttle out and will impact on the Immortal Dream right in front of the node that is highlighted. The impact and explosives will do the rest. Acknowledge.” “Yes Admiral. I accept what is my final orders and will carry them out. Long Live the Empire.” The hologram went dark and Luke returned to the Bridge. He turned to the Supreme Commander and nodded. “Ma’am, We are about to watch the final actions of a pilot too injured to survive his wounds but willing to offer the last moments of his life for the Empire.” He turned back to Commander Matteri. “Have an encrypted comm opened with all Squadron Commanders, in fact extend it to all fighters and bombers.” He waited till he had acknowledgement that the comm was open and then spoke his parade polished voice ringing out over the bridge and to the fighters beyond. “Pilots, today you have suffered heavy losses and I honor you for that but I must make one final request of you. As I speak there is a shuttle launching piloted by one of your own. He will not survive this fight having taken grievous injury to his body in the fight. He has made a request to be part of my plan so that he will die in combat with those of Onyx Squadron who he lead. I ask you to shield his shuttle till he reaches the Immortal Dream and then break away. He will sell his remaining moments dearly to preserve your own so that you may fight on. Show him the same honor he shows to to you.” He reached to and pressed a single button on his comm, an activation order for the shuttle. He watched it launch then drew his sabre and brought it up to salute as he watched the shuttle and the fighters making their run, many of the bombers that still had payloads left dropped their ordnance wherever they could that wouldn’t damage a pod. Moments later, the shuttle struck and a large hole could be seen in the Immortal Dream as well as the debris that were vented along with the atmosphere. “Flight Director, Do any of the Defenders still carry launchable payloads.” “Sir, Krayt two and three have three missile between them. “Direct them to manually fire them into the hole then breakaway to rearm. Tell Boarding teams 1 and 2 that they have launch authority and the remaining teams Five Minute Warning” Luke sheathed his sabre and watched the two Defenders launch the remainders of their weapons and streak back to the ship for a rearm as the two landing craft launched toward the Immortal Dream shielded by a freshly rearmed flight of Defenders. The first shuttle hovered near the breach and launched cables into the breach followed seconds later by the first boarding team of troopers and within five minutes the second team of troopers were inside the breach, each heading for a seperate location.
  4. “Commander, signal the Hand of Valor the following. The Grand Admiral offers his compliments to your gun crews.” He watched the commander pass the message on then turned his attention back to the readouts and the view port in front of him. He stroked his chin for a moment as he studied the enemy movements and the results of the previous attacks. It was nearly time to begin the next phase of his attack plan. He checked his readings against the read out in front of him once more then left his station. He strode forward to the viewport and beckoned the commander forward. Luke gestured to the Immortal Soul and to the enemy fleet as a whole. “What do you see, Commander.?” “Admiral, the enemy looks to be positioning something against the hull of the ship just below the shield layer.” He turned to the command deck with an unpleasant look on his face. “Sensors, give me a reading on the Immortal Soul.” A moment passed before a response came in. “Sir, the readings confirm a second set of lifesigns. They are reading as many if not more than are on the ship and they are directly in front of our arcs of fire.” The commander looked horrified as he turned back to Luke. “Sir, they would use slaves as a shield from our fire? Not even the rebels did that in battle.” “This is true Commander.” Luke’s voice took on the steel tone that he was famous for. That however will not save them as there are not enough pods to protect the ship and begins the next phase of my attack. He turned back to the command deck and began to issue orders. “Signal to all squadron leaders, they are to fall back and make it appear as if they are fleeing but are to rally behind the ships, all bombers to rearm. Next, to the commanders of the Hand of Valor and the Glory of Cardia. Tell them that we are to assume Tarkin Black formation and inform them to expect allies to arrive at their flanks. Finally open a Hyperspace Relay and send the following Kcalb Nikrat to the Consolatrix and Animarium then pass all previous fleet orders and a current status report and inform them I want them in full readiness when they arrive.” ((OCC, Takin Black is the inverse of the arrowhead formation, the rear ships are to advance forward)) “Aye Sir, messages have been passed and all ships have acknowledged.” Luke nodded and watched the fighters pull back briefly before he turned and watched the readout for the arrival of the Consolatrix and Animarium. Mere moments later the two ships broke from hyperspace and took their place in the formation, Luke smiled then turned to Commander Matteri. “Enough two dimensional combat. Bring our Axis down 30 degrees for a four minute burn then return it to current. At that point, you may recommence firing at your discretion Commander.” “Aye Sir” Luke stood at the viewport, his arms clasped behind him as he listened to the crew carrying out their orders. He heard the point defense lasers open up and watched them shred a third of the incoming enemy fighters in as many moments with a nod of satisfaction.
  5. Luke stood at the forward viewport and watched the Hutt ships close on the Imperial fleet and the results of the first enemy attack. He nodded to himself and then strode back to the command position. “Signal the Hand of Valor. Full barrage of plasma missiles on this shield point followed by a spread of concussion missiles.” He paused for a moment then looked over at Commander Matteri. “Target the explosive impact with our main batteries. He felt the ship shudder under the impact of enemy fire and looked down at the console for a damage assessment. Shields were holding and there was minimal damage reported across all decks. He stroked his chin in contemplation as he watched the battle continue to unfold. He really did not like this ship, he missed the angular sleek lines of a Star Destroyer and the arrangement of its weapons systems. He turned his attention to the fighter squadrons. He was well familiar with these fighters having been a fighter pilot when he had joined the Empire especially this exact class. He watched their movements for a moment or two then strode over to the fighter command console. He examined the plan that was in place and then entered an override code and entered new flight orders. Within moments two squadrons had formed off of the bow of the Admiral Andripov and launched their attack. The squadron of Scimitar bombers and TIE Defenders streaked towards the Immortal Soul. The Defenders flew ahead of the Scimitars, breaking into the enemy formation and pulling the fighter cover away from the lead Hutt ship. The Scimitars closed with the Hutt ship and overflew it, dropping their payloads over same shield segment and overloaded the shield generators. Luke smiled as he saw it. “All ships, focus fire on that location. Main batteries and Ion Cannons fire!.”
  6. A flash of light signalled the exit of the Admiral Andripov from hyperspace into normal space, they had come out of hyperspace a few moments late according to the Navigating officer however Luke had made it an order for a purpose as the Cruiser had exited hyperspace behind one of the moons of Nal Hutta. Luke nodded at the worried face of the Navigating officer then turned to the Captain. “Report.” “Sir, the ship has exited hyperspace behind the third moon of Nal Hutta. All systems show fully operational and the remaining members of the fleet are on station with the exception of the Eventuality of Justice.” “Very good Commander. Open a link to all ships, have it recorded for the purpose of retransmission to the Eventuality of Justice.” Luke looked at the console before him and checked the status of the fighter squadrons then nodded. “SIr, the Captains are assembled and awaiting your orders.” Adjusting his jacket, Luke stepped onto the transmission pad for the communicator. “Captains, here are your orders. Upon completion of this briefing each ship is to launch one squadron and place their remaining squadrons on alert 30. The fleet will assume the Tarkin standard formation as we move from behind the moon with the Admiral Andripov at the center of the formation, Commander Janisar will hold the right flank. Commander Liu, you will hold the left, the Eventuality of Justice will take position astern of us upon arrival. Enemy vessels Battle of Vontor and Varlen Dream are to be listed as secondary targets with the Immortal Soul listed as the Primary target. We will utilize the the ion cannons on all ships for the opening barrage to break their shields. That is to be followed a volley of plasma missiles from the Hand of Valor. Upon detonation of the missiles, all ships are to launch their remaining fighters and send them on an attack run of the Immortal Soul. More orders to follow, Dismissed.” He stepped off the pad and nodded to Commander Matteri “Launch fighter and signal Half Ahead all Engines.” Luke watched for a moment as the Bridge leapt into action then turned to where the Supreme Commander was standing and inclined his head. “The Fleet is moving into position, fighter screen is deployed.” He strode to the forward viewport above bridge consoles and looked out at where the fleet was moving into place with the TIE Defenders moving in their preassigned screens. He ran his hand along his jaw as he watched fighters, his mind going back briefly to what it had been like to pilot one and later to command the squadron. It had been a different experience than what it was commanding a Star Destroyer or a Fleet of them. While he remembered, his eyes tracked the movements of the fighters and in turn the frigates moving into their position. “Sir?” “Yes Commander?” “Sir, the Fleet commanders signal that they are on station.” “Very good Commander. Signal to the fleet. All ahead full, Shields up and sound General Quarters." “Aye Sir.” Seconds later, the orders had been passed to the fleet and the alarms were going off. “Sir, the fleet has acknowledged the orders and all stations report that they are at General Quarters.”

    Kashyyyk

A Lambda-class T-4a shuttle exited hyperspace over Kashyyyk, one of its passengers had never seen this planet before and the other had a large scar down his back from his first and only time on the planet. They both looked at the planet and shook their heads at the wild ball of mud below them, neither of them had any desire to set foot on the surface nor see any of the inhabitants. Luckly for them, that was not their purpose as they orbited around to the dark side of the planet (in terms of sunlight not the Force) and saw the Admiral Andripov. He raised an eyebrow as he looked over the lines of the ship, it was no Star Destroyer that much was certain. He glanced over at the lieutenant and saw the same look on his face. “Sir, I would say that the golden days are behind us.” Luke nodded as the shuttle drew closer to the ship as he continued looking at the Frigate in front of him before the pilot spoke. “Grand Admiral Sir, the Admiral Andripov is hailing us and asking our intentions.” “Very well, Broadcast my ID codes on a tight beam to the ship and order receipt of the codes once received. Inform them that I intend to conduct an external inspection and will board once complete.” “Yes Sir.” Luke turned his attention once more to the view port, faintly hearing the pilot’s communications and the response. “Sir, they acknowledge your codes and welcome you to come aboard at your pleasure.” “Very good, conduct a flypast of their weapons batteries and then bring the shuttle into the Hanger.” Luke leaned forward to better examine the armament as they flew over them, his well trained eyes taking in each straight line and curve of the batteries. Finally he nodded and turned to the pilot. “Take us in.” The pilot turned the shuttle and headed into the hanger where they were met by a standard honor guard. Once again the officer in charge of the Honor Guard seemed baffled by the long coat over Luke’s uniform and the sword that rode at his hip but was wise enough not to say anything but rather ushered him to the Bridge. Luke strode onto the bridge, his eyes taking in the command position as well as the Supreme Commander standing beside the captain. He snapped to attention, his heels snapping together loud enough to be heard across the Bridge. “Supreme Commander.” Luke inclined his head as he greeted her then nodded to the captain and took the outstretched hand.
  8. Waking up in the hospital, Luke looked around slightly baffled as until the sergeant that he had carried off of the Star Destroyer approached his bedside or rather it seemed now Lieutenant. "Hello Sir, you had a piece of shrapnel that had lodged near your spine during the explosion and it wasn't until you left the Supreme Commanders office that the piece moved and your collapsed outside on the parade square and were rushed to the surgeon. It took three surgeries for them to remove all of the shrapnel and following that you spent several days under sedation before they placed you in a bacta tank. Since then the Supreme Commander has left orders for you to fly to Kashyyyk and join her aboard the Admiral Andripov. It is a Corona-Class Frigate, it is a newer model that I am unfamiliar with, however I was given the specs for it since I have been appointed as your Aide de Camp." Luke nodded and stood up grasping the bed for a moment as a wave of vertigo washed over him from having been in a bed for too long. He straightened up and took a breath. "Bring me my uniform, my weapons and jacket," He thought for a moment then continued. "Have a shuttle fueled and prepped, we will leave as soon as it is ready." "Aye Admiral." The Lieutenant turned sharply and left the room. Moments later a stormtrooper arrived with his gear and Luke changed out of the hospital robes and back into his uniform albeit a fresh crisp one and then buckled on his weapons. He was just putting on his jacket when the Lieutenant returned. "Sir, a shuttle is prepped and ready for your departure." Luke nodded and left the hospital with the lieutenant behind him. They boarded the shuttle and moments later left Cardia for Kashyyyk while Luke examined the specifications of the frigate that he was going to be on.
  9. “Grand Admiral, while the destruction of the Arach’tar is in no doubt justified, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Though we are for the moment, a long distance from it, if we were to venture into a war again, quarter shall be given to all enemies that surrender. We are no longer being led by Sith Lords, and shall show the honour of our profession. We will act like soldiers and not the terrorists we are trying to eliminate from this galaxy. You did well in your destruction of the Arach’tar Grand Admiral by Old Empire standards, if you agree to abide by new rules of engagement you are welcome to find your rank restored within the Imperial Remnant. If not you will still receive your military pension and all the honours you are due for being a permanently retired grand admiral in the Imperial Remnant.” “As you say Ma’am.” His tone was neutral as he tucked the datapad into his jacket pocket and continued to observe the meeting, hiding his sense of disgust at how the Empire had fallen from its once proud days deep in his core. Then found his sensibilities shocked further at the thought of lending a ship and crew to the Jedi, religious extremists that were once mortal enemies of the Empire and responsible for assisting the terrorist organization so named the Rebel Alliance. He frowned as he listened, although it really didn’t change his facial expression more than a minute change of his lips and a deepening of the lines around his eyes. It was bloody disgraceful the way things had turned out since he had been gone. Then things turned even worse as the Jedi spoke about him. "And on the subject of that last bit- and I of course mean no offence- suggest you keep your eyes on your own people and how Imperialistic they do things, and let the Jedi worry about how Jedi are Jediing." Luke inhaled as he prepared to respond to the terrorist’s comment, his fingers itching to run the enemy of the state through then have his body drug out to the parade square and let the new Imperial recruits see what is to happen to their enemies. “At least when I am ordered to end a threat to the Galaxy. I complete my orders rather than running and hiding while someone else ends the threat for you while you wait for the conflict to end then rebel against the legitimate government.” ------------ Spoiler is nulled. - Aryian
  10. “Welcome Grand Admiral Macleod. How fared your mission to the outer rim in pursuit of the Arach'tar?” Luke inclined his head in response to her greeting and turned slightly to face her. “Ma’am. We decimated the remainder of the Arach’tar at the cost of my other two ships and their valorous crews. We burned their homeworld to cinders as their disabled flagship hung in orbit unable to go to the aid of their world. When their world had ceased to burn, we used our tractor beam to push their flagship into a decaying orbit around the white star that is their sun. We watched for hours as their orbit brought them ever closer to the corona of the sun.” He paused for a moment, his hand tightening around the pommel of the sabre. “In their final moments they sent a comm surrendering to us and asking for mercy. Our response was to broadcast the Imperial anthem followed by Emperor Palpatines’s speech to the Senate after being attacked by the Jedi and as the roar of the Senate echoed over the comm, we watched their ship break up and fall into the sun. We were on the way home when we discovered that they had managed to contact their allies and they ambushed us with several Corellian light cruisers. Two of them made suicide runs on us using their two counterparts as shields for their attack runs. We killed three out the four cruisers but the fourth cruiser collided with us and caused the damage that you saw.”
  11. “Grand Admiral, head of State Raven Zinthos is meeting with the Jedi delegation, she left word that you are welcome to join her at your convenience. The door is open to you, as long as you disarm.” "I will relinquish the sidearms, the sabre remains in my possession." The guard commander was taken back by his reaction and paused for a moment then agreed to the change. Luke removed the first of his sidearms and handed it over to one of the other members of the honor guard before removing the second sidearm and handing it over. "Thank you Sir. The Head of State is waiting for you inside her office. By the way Sir, your face is bleeding." Luke nodded and stepped forward to the office door then paused. "Good to see you again Major. Carry on" He opened the door and marched inside, his heels striking a perfect cadence as he strode past the Jedi and took up his place to the right of Raven's desk. His left hand rested on the engraved pommel of the sabre as he looked at the Jedi then acknowledged Raven with an incline of his head. As he did, he could feel trail of blood running down his face and following the lines of his patrician face. "Ma'am."

  13. (The following actions with the Star Destroyer were Mod Approved and now back to regularly scheduled posting) A flash of light signalled the exit of a massive warship from Hyperspace. It had a long triangular shape or so much as could be seen by the starlight. It was a class of ship not seen in that part of the galaxy in nearly twenty years but was instantly recognizable as a Tector-class Star Destroyer. This Star Destroyer had once had a storied past, having been the first command and later flagship of Grand Admiral MacLeod. He had commissioned the Agamemnon in his first year as a Captain and had served as her first commanding officer for two years until his promotion to Commodore had taken place. This time though the Agamemnon was making its last return to Cardia, limping its way back fatally wounded and struggling to remain in one piece long enough to deliver its Commander one final time. Fires were raging throughout the ship and the suppression systems were offline due to structural damage from a Corellian frigate that had attempted to make a kamikaze run against the Star Destroyer. The shields had held, though they were down to minimum, barely enough to say that they were functioning. Much of the lower decks had been ripped open from collision and many of the stormtroopers and crew had been killed both in the initial damage as well as the ensuing attempt to repair as much of the lower decks as possible. Even the bridge had suffered damage as evidenced by several fallen girders one of which crushed the captain at the moment of collision. The Grand Admiral sighed silently and ran his hand along the bent rail that overlooked the command deck and bridge control stations. The expedition beyond the Outer Rim had been a disastrous decision by the council and a gross waste of resources. He brushed a clump of ashes from the shoulder of the high collared leather jacket as he looked down at the skeleton crew manning the few remaining functional control stations. They were nearly within range of the planet, a few more kilometers left till they were in range. “Admiral sir, engine four has flared out. All engines are inoperable and unable to be restarted.” “Very well Lieutenant. Ensign, status report on the damage control?” A harried looking young ensign stood up and removed his headset for a moment as he turned to look at the Grand Admiral. “Sir, the fire has spread to 60 percent of the ship and is two compartments away from the engine room. All automatic fire suppression systems are offline, fireteams are managing to keep the fire away from the engine room and the after armament. Forward armament was damaged by the collusion and nearly all of the ammunition stored there was lost due to the compartment being lost to space. Life support is down to 25 percent and we have 45 percent of escape pods available.” Grand Admiral MacLeod straightened up and looked out the forward viewport for a moment as he made his decision. Though his decision was made significantly easier when the fire reached one of the stormtrooper armories and ignited the cache of thermal detonators. “Sir! Sgt Wagner reports that the explosion has dealt critical damage to the internal structure of the ship and that it is beginning to break up. We have loss of atmosphere throughout the ship and have lost another ten percent of the ship to the void.” “Lieutenant. Sound abandon ship.” “Yes Sir, Your shuttle is ready in bay two.” Seconds later, the klaxon alarm began to ring throughout the remnant of the ship, the piercing sound ringing out over the crackle of the fire and dull thud of detonators cooking off. He stood there for a moment looking out at the planet as the bridge crew quickly left their stations for the escape pods. Soon he was alone except for a single stormtrooper standing a bit behind him that was waiting to escort him to the shuttle. “Sir? It is time to go. Everyone has left the ship now, we should get to the shuttle before the ship breaks up.” Luke turned his head towards the stormtrooper. “You are right Sergeant, time to depart.” He reached out stroked the rail one final time as he took in the view of the bridge for the last time. “Fair well Agamemnon, you served the Imperium and in turn myself very well.” He turned to the stormtrooper sergeant and nodded and they left the bridge. They proceeded down two ladders and headed aft towards the shuttle bay. Along the way they passed by a training bay that was smashed and had flames nearly reaching to the ceiling. As they passed by the bay, a detonator fell from a rack into the flames then rolled into a puddle leaking coolant still trailing flames. Luke caught sight of it as it rolled and swung the leather coat up over his face and yelled cover as the detonator exploded. Shrapnel flew through the air, some of it sticking in the outer layer of his leather coat and a larger piece piercing the hip joint of the stormtroopers armor and knocking him to the ground. “Can you walk Sergeant?” “No Admiral. Leave me and get to the shuttle Sir.” “ I think not Sergeant, give me your hand.” He reached down and grasped the sergeant's hand and pulled him to his feet. He wrapped the sergeant’s arm around his shoulder and the two of them staggered to the shuttle bay where they were met by two other troopers who took the sergeant from him and helped the sergeant on board the shuttle followed by the Grand Admiral. “Take us out of here.” The shuttle lifted off from the ship and headed toward Cardia following behind the escape pods that had already launched. Soon they were challenged by Imperial control as to their intentions and identity. The pilot turned back to the Grand Admiral with a question in his voice. “Send my access code and rank, then proceed to the nearest landing pad. Order them to prepare to receive casualties from the Agamemnon.” Almost as soon as the response had been sent, one of the stormtroopers looked out the aft viewport then beckoned to the Admiral. “Sir, the Agamemnon is in its death throes.” “Move.” Luke stepped to the view port as a massive crack that stretched along the broken hull of the Agamemnon grew then fractured into smaller cracks that broke apart. Flames could be seen through the cracks as the ship writhed in its final agony and Luke drew himself up to attention and called the remainder of the shuttle to attention then held his salute as the ship broke apart, its final duty complete. The shuttle landed a half hour later and the Grand Admiral disembarked from the shuttle to be met by an honor guard that wore neither the white stormtrooper armor nor the black armor of the death trooper. He frowned as he looked on the oddly colored armor then proceeded to march up to the guard commander who was a small man that didn’t look tall enough to be a stormtrooper, let alone a commander. “Inform your Commander that Grand Admiral MacLeod has returned from beyond the Outer Rim.” “Admiral, begging your pardon but are you aware that you are bleeding? The left side of your face is bleeding profusely and there is shrapnel stuck in your coat which if I may be honest is quite out of dress, as is the sabre that you are wearing.” “Lieutenant.” Luke’s voice grew cold and the steel tone of command crept its way into his words. “I gave you an order, I did not ask for your opinion."
  14. Luke scanned the battlefield quickly with his ship, the fleets were beginning to fall apart. He slammed his fist against the side of the console. He glanced at the screen once more then suddenly pulled up out of the attack that the squadron was about to proceed with. When the various queries came over the secure comm, Luke answered them with a single command, "Follow Me." The men of the squadron fell silent, they knew their commander's moods well and knew when he was in a mood like he was now that arguing with him was pointless. Touching the control for the afterburner, Luke's Tie Defender sped through the battlefield towards the Eclispe class SSD. As he grew close, he broadcast his idenity codes with his rank. Immediately the admiral's hanger was cleared for him and his squadron. The docked this ships and sprang from the cockpits in unison. The deck commander was almost shaking as he saluted the now angry grand admiral. "Move from my way and have our ships seen to." The squadron closed rank around the admiral and quick marched out of the hanger. They marched past the squads of stormtroopers and crew of the ship and headed to the command elevator. Several low ranking officers were boarding the command elevator as Luke came around the corner. He gestured and six of his squadron stepped forward and hauled the junior officers from the elevator. Once the elevator was emptied, Luke boarded the command elevator and waited the few seconds that it took to arrive on the command deck, by this time he had removed his flight suit andwas in his admiral's uniform. The Lt. Commander of the Onyx Squadron having had the best parade voice bellowed out "Admiral on Deck." Heads snapped around quickly and command officers quickly stood at attention as they saluted, this time Luke returned the salute as he squadron took their places behind him. Luke looked at the command officers for a moment. "Open a comm to the entire Imperial fleet." The captain nodded then a moment later indicated that the comm was open. "Attention Imperial Fleet, this is Grand Admiral Luke MacLeod. As of this moment, Command Deton is no longer in command. I have resumed command. All ships of the line will begin a stratigic retreat, I want all flanks covered. Begin to move in two stages. As two sectors of the fleet pulls back, the remaining sector will provide cover fire. Once the two sectors have pulled back, then they will in turn provide cover fire for the remaining sector to pull back. Bombers and cruisers, your tasks are to begin precision fire and pinpoint bombing raids. Target the engines, kill their momentum." Luke cut the comm and motioned to Commander Deton. "Commander Deton, get the Alliance on comm and get a status report and do it quickly. I need to know what their commander is doing. Dismissed."
  15. Luke grinned to himself as he received his orders. He opened the secure comm link to his squadron. "Alright here is the orders, we are going after the closest glowing ship. Arm ion cannons and fall into attack pattern omega. On my mark weapons loose." The squadron fell into attack formation perfectly, their ranks shifting and moving as specified by the formation. It was a bit of a newer formation and had only been used in two battles, one of which had been the battle of Courscant. The other had been at the attack on Csilla. Wheeling suddenly to the right and exposed two Arach'tar fighters to fire from a trailing Imperial Tie squadron. The two fighters were strafed and killed quickly as the Onyx Squadron closed on the target ship. The secure comm was silent for most of the way to the target ship but as they within firing range of the ship the comm line lit up. "YYIIIIPPPEEEE-KIIII!!!!" Luke stifled a laugh and barked a crisp order. "Cut the yelling Onyx two. We all know your looking forward to battle but save it for later once we get to a tavern. " A chuckle was heard from the entire squadron as a weapons loose command was issued. All ion cannons were fired at the area around the aft shield generator. After the first pass the shields didnt seem to have been fazed, so the squadron pulled up quickly and came around for a second pass. Once again all ion cannons were fired at the area around the aft shield generator. As the squadron made a second pass, Luke sent a quick coded message the nearest Imperial Star destroyer telling them to target the area around the nearest glowing ships's aft shield generator.
