The Eternal Vigilance (The Maw)

Tiana turned around, to look at the girl standing behind her. The newcomer was older than she was, Tiana assumed, maybe four years, or more. "Hi," Tiana greeted, leaving the skies that she found so facenating, to bring herself back down to earth. "I'm Tiana Elass. And you are?"

She smiled, and waited for a reply from the petite stranger.

Just when I thought it was over, I watched Tiana kick Almira in the head, effectively putting her out of her misery. I did not expect that.

BC looked to Hale. His height gave him a top view of Hale's head. Sidestepping and turning the large wookiee now faced Hale.

What do you need Hale my friend?

"Xae-Lin Ardel," The young woman said, extending her hand to the other woman. "I take it that you're new here, too?" Xae smiled.

The Titan Eagle appears outofthe blackness of Space and speeds down toward the planet Manaan. TheTitan Eagle had been through many modifications to put it into top of the line shape. It had faster engines, better shielding, and two weapons systems, three ion cannons ion top and a quad laser cannon on the bottom. Leo at the pilot seat zooms toward the Eternal Vigilence and sends a com.

This is Former Sith Leonardo Stovachi, Jedi Knight Orrick, and Jedi Padawan Andon Colos. We have evacuated our own home and come here to seek regufe. Do we have permission to land? Over

Leo knew the mention of his Sith past would probably get them denided access tothe base, but he had always been a big believer in hope and foregiveness. He hoped they would forgive him for training with the Sith. He tells Orrick to stay at the controls and monitor the coms. He walks itno the living quarters to find Mara lying on the beed asleep. He walks overto her and puts a sheet over her to keep warm and gives her quick kiss on the cheek.

"I love you Mara."

He takes a seat on the floor next tothe bed as to not disturb her and quickly falls asleep.

"I am here because I seek the permission of the Jedi Council, Master BLCKCLONE. With the Council's blessing, I will strike back at the Sith."

Hale Akturus pauses.

"I hope my intentions are clearly recognized for what they truly are. I do not seek revenge, but I do seek justice. With your permission, and that of the Council, I will form a team of Jedi Knights to accomplish this task - to strike back at our enemies. What say you?"

Tiana smiled, and extended her hand as well. "Hi, Xae. Yeah, I am new here as well, as it would seem. I suppose I should say welcome, but being new myself, I can't really. When did you get here?"

Xae smiled, "A few hours ago actually. Where are you from originally?" She realised that this may not be a prudent line of conversation, as she had spent most of her life on a planet that was known for it's connections to the Dark Side of the Force.

Hou-Jo watched Kyp leave.

Hou-Jo sent a Force message to Kyp, "Kyp, I'm sorry if this seems of ill favor, but I do not believe that your plea is of enough importance to be a purpose to assembly a meeting with the Council. If you wish, you may speak your mind to me or any other Council person, I am certain that any one of us can handle your situation on his or her own."

OOC: Kyp, I'm not a Master yet.

Leaving the hanger, Toster let his feet guide themselves as he moved forward through the large building. He turned left into a long corridor, not really sure where it led. Examining his surroundings as he walked, Toster suddenly stopped, and turned left. As he veered the corner, he immediately noticed a large wookie, speaking with human male. As he approached, Toster, bowed his head, and when he was relatively close, he began to speak.

“Greetings, Jedi Master Blckclone, I am Toster, Jedi Master K’munee’s apprentice. I am sorry that my master could not be present at the moment, but he sends his regards. I know that your time is precious, and so I will skip further formalities, and attempt to be brief. I have come to Manaan with hopes of being presented before the Jedi Council, so that they may evaluate my progress, and decide whether I am ready to become a knight. I have trained long and hard with my master, and have Jedi Master K’munee’s consent to request the title of Knight.”

Toster looked up into the eyes of the large, fury wookie, and awaited his answer keenly.

"Ok then... I have a bit of a task for you then... I am going to tell you to do things... without the force, they would be imposible. But, with the force as an allie, these shouldn't be that dificult. The first will take a while. All throughout this building are some of the pieces I need to build my new saber. I hid them just for something like this. So, there are 15 pieces all ranging from the size of a washer (nut... not the big machine) to the size of your hand. Go and hurry."

((OOC- I want this to be as creative as posible. Make up what you do, and where the things are. But, remember to use all of the force powers you have learned thus far. I want this to be done in 5 posts... find 3 things per post. And, no mini posts. Make them nice and long and descriptive. I want to see how creative you are when the ball is in your court...)))

For those of you who knew me, it was great, for those who didn't, welcome.

((ooc: sorry, I assumed you were... lol))

Kyp left his room and went to find Hou-Jo... He found the Jedi in one of the meditation rooms.

"I apologize... I had asked for the assemblage of the Council so we could discuss the Jedi Order and our course of action. We are dwindling in number, and I sense a disturbance in the Force... the Dark Side grows in strength. I guess what I am asking for is a mission. Perhaps as an ambassador on behalf of the Jedi to the Rebellion. If we are ever to defeat the Empire, we're going to need their help. And I am sure they would appreciate our help as well."

Hou-Jo looked up at Kyp, "You are right in your asssumptions that the Jedi are dwindling in their forces. They are indeed. The Jedi has suffered two great losses, one at Dagobah, and recently at Hoth. I personally do not want this to happen again. An ambassador for the Jedi to the Rebellion? You could say that would be comparing the relationship of a cookie to a cake, as to my idea for you. The Sith and the Empire are more tightly together then the Jedi and Rebels, and I have since come to the conclusion that the Sith have someone organizing Imperial attacks, as the Emperor did at the Battle of Endor. To give the Rebels fleet the same chance for such cooridination, I ask you this question; do you know Battle Meditation?"

The Stellar Princess appears out of hyperspace, rather close to Manaan's gravity well. Armiena's eyebrows go up as she sees Manaan for the first time.

"Wow. A whole planet, completely covered by water. The brochures didn't exactly describe it well," she says to no one.

R5-D9 tootles a cheerfully high-pitched response by her side.

"Never mind. I need to speak with the base." Almost on cue, the comm unit starts flashing.

"Stellar Princess requesting permission to land. I wish to receive training as a Jedi."

Traffic Control responds, giving her permission to land, but says nothing of training.

Her ship blasts through Manaan's atmosphere, towards the Eternal Vigilance, the only speck of solid ground Armiena can find. She lands in the hangar. A couple of seconds later she emerges from the ship, looking completely lost.

Hou-Jo heard a comm, "Excuse me Kyp, I will be right back."

Hou-Jo left Kyp's quarters and went to a place where he could return the comm. Hou-Jo sighed, "Orrick and Andon, you have permission to enter. Leonardo... you have permission to land on designated platform."

Hou-Jo puts in coordinates for Leonardo to land, "I, Hou-Jo Poleb, will be waiting for all three of you. Leonardo, I want to speak with you before you enter, nothing personal, just being cautious, is all. After all, I can tell that you expected something like this. Over and out."

Hou-Jo proceeded to go to where they would be landing...

Orrick recieves the com and walks to whereLeo is. He wakes the Rogue and gives him the news. Leo did expect this and was prepared for it. He walks to the pilots seat and takes his place. He manuvers the Titan Eagle down to the designated landing platform and opens the ramp. He turns the ship off and has the droids walks out and escort Mara and the others inside. Leo steps out and waits in the rain for Hou-Jo to come to him.

Tiana nodded at Xae. "Yeah, then I suppose you wouldn't've had much time to settle in," she commented, when the other girl answered that she had arrived a few hours ago, towards the most.

"Where are you from originally?" asked Xae.

Tiana paused slightly, taking a moment to think. "Well, I'm from Corusant," she replied slowly. "I'm not quite sure if I was born there, though. What of you?"

"Well, I just thought that I'd stay on the Redemption," Xae-Lin shrugged, she didn't see the sense in settling in to a room here, unless Kyp decided to stay longer than a few weeks. It wasn't that she had all that much to move with her, she'd just become accustomed to her quarters on the ship.

When it came to responding to her own question that had been thrown back her way, Xae paused for a moment. She'd been the one to bring up the topic, so it would be wrong of her indeed to not respond to something that she quite willingly brought up herself. "Darthomir." She thought herself silly for worring over it so, she'd already been approved as Kyp's Padawan and didn't think that she would have been allowed to further her training with him if the Wookie had sensed anything dark residing within her.

"How long have you been here?" The petite auburn-haired young woman decided to play the same tatic on the taller woman, who seemed relatively close to her age, give or take a few years.

Hou-Jo put his hood up over his head and walked out into the rain.

There Hou-Jo saw Leo.

"Leonardo Stovachi, are you not?"

Hou-Jo advanced, the rain tingled as it touched Hou-Jo's face. Hou-Jo continuted without giving him proper time to answer it, as it was rhetorical anyways.

"Former Sith, eh? If you are not a Sith, I would inquire to know as to what you are now."

There was a flash of light, followed by a thunderclap.

The others continued on their way into Manaan, but Andon remained on the ship waiting for the arrival of Hou-Jo. When the Jedi Knight made his way from the landing pad, the young Jedi Padawan walked down the landing ramp of the ship and began walking towards the pair, pulling his black hood over his head as he did. The weather was harsh and unrelenting, rain beating against his face with no avail from the cover of his hood, but he continued onward. He arrived right at the end of the Knight's series of questions, but he still heard enough to engage in the conversation.

"Can you not see it Master Poleb," he asked as thunder rumbled overhead and lightning streaked across the skies.

"He bares the Wings of Ilum, the very wings that Jedi Master Sly Stevenson once had brandished on his back."

The apprentice stopped, looking at Master Poleb and then at his friend Leo.

"True he was once a Sith, but I've seen his soul and his future...he has no intentions but good now," he said raising his voice above the howling winds.

The two stood, waiting for the Council Member's reply.

"The wings are a sign of purity. Only those with a heart of strength and determination can bare them."

Andon stopped once more, claps of thunder came in a heavy succession, drowning out all capabilities of speech. After each outburst came a blast of lightning, striking the water all around them and each bolt shone brighter then the most spectacular nova explosion. The rays of light bounced off of all their reflections and cast distortions of them and each time the lightning struck the wing tatoos on Leo's back seemed to react. With each darkning after the strike, they shone through the abyss and gave off a soft hue that slightly engulfed his presence.

Following suit, the two men went in tow behind the Jedi Knight and walked with him into the structure. Reaching outward with his thoughts the Jedi Apprentice scanned the structure for a familiar presence, one he hoped was here and waiting for him. After another moment of searching he located who he was looking for: Master Akturus. At the moment he was occupied in intense thought and the student decided it would be best to leave the teacher be, he would find him when he was ready. Still he was curious to where he was and once inside he turned to Hou-Jo.

"Master Poleb, you wouldn't happen to know where my Master, Hale Akturus, is...would you?"

Feeling rather refreshed, Eli went back to her quarters to use her datapad. She was planning on checking up on somebody she had met earlier named Ish Ka Bibl, but when she passed the hanger she decided that maybe she should look in to see if there were any extra ships, just in case she decided that she needed to get away.

As Eli scanned the hanger a starfighter was leaving, but she didn't think anything about it. The hanger was filled with all manner of ships and it didn't seem like too many of them didn't belong to somebody. Oh, well. I can always find a different way off planet. She thought.

Finally returning to her quarters Eli checked out Ish Ka Bibl, to find that he had left that same day. This didn't suprise her, new jedi frequently left the Acadamy, just as she had a long time ago. What did suprise her was that the seemingly, nice, responsible young man had left no reason for leaving. Good for him, was her first thought, but her second thought was Why?

"It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by the dust and sweat and blood..."-Theodore Roosevelt-
