  1. Not sure what was expected of him, Toster followed BC into the council chambers. Slowly gliding down the long corridors, he was keen to notice several other jedi move in the same direction. He was not sure whether he was going to be given an assignment for his trials, or if the meeting had been called to discuss some other matter. Either way, he was clearly showing signs of nervousness in his steps. As he entered the room, he did not sit, and instead stood by the door, waiting for some indication as to what would be happening next.
  2. Leaving the hanger, Toster let his feet guide themselves as he moved forward through the large building. He turned left into a long corridor, not really sure where it led. Examining his surroundings as he walked, Toster suddenly stopped, and turned left. As he veered the corner, he immediately noticed a large wookie, speaking with human male. As he approached, Toster, bowed his head, and when he was relatively close, he began to speak. “Greetings, Jedi Master Blckclone, I am Toster, Jedi Master K’munee’s apprentice. I am sorry that my master could not be present at the moment, but he sends his regards. I know that your time is precious, and so I will skip further formalities, and attempt to be brief. I have come to Manaan with hopes of being presented before the Jedi Council, so that they may evaluate my progress, and decide whether I am ready to become a knight. I have trained long and hard with my master, and have Jedi Master K’munee’s consent to request the title of Knight.” Toster looked up into the eyes of the large, fury wookie, and awaited his answer keenly.
  3. K'munee's ship slowly descended onto Manaan. He was followed by his padawan Toster, who stayed close behind in his starfighter. Landing on the planet's surface, Toster was quick to get out of his ship and into the newly constructed structure. His master lead him down the halls torwards an open comm. Toster turned the comm on, and sent a message throughout the structure, his voice coming bouncing off the walls of the empty hangar. ---This message is for Jedi Master Blckclone. This is Toster Otrebor, currently speaking from the hangar bay. I am accompanied by Jedi Master K'munee, and we would like to speak with you as soon as possible please.--- Having sent his message, Toster turned the comm off, and awaited the arrival of Jedi Master Blckclone.

    Ilum

Toster's ship slowly descended onto Ilum's surface. It was soon followed by the ship of his master. They landed in a descrete area, making sure that they were a safe distance from any other signs of intelligent life. Upon landing Toster quickly exited his ship, and approached his master. As he came close to K'munee, he saw that the Jedi was already moving torwards what seemed to be a cave, lodged into the side of a small hill. Following his master, as he entered the small dark cave he could see nothing. It was only when Toster turned on his plasma light, that he was utterly astonished by what he saw. The cave's walls were absolutely filled with crystals, many of them embeded in the floor. They were of various colors, although the larger ones were all either green or blue. K'munee began to speak. "These are the crystals, which will become the key part of your lightsaber. The color of your blade will depend on the color of the crystals you choose. Although a lightsaber consists of many pieces, which you will learn of later, the crystal is "soul" of your lightsaber, so choose wisely." Heeding the words of his master, Toster began to search the shallow cave for the right crystals, letting the force guide him. As he drifted, without purpose, he suddenly came to a halt. It was as if something had stopped his leg at that very spot. Looking around, Toster was surprised to find that there were no crystals in atleast a ten foot radius of himself. Looking at the ground, he was about to move forward when he lifted his foot and saw what appeared to be a small crystall directly under where his shoe had once been. Bending over, he tried to pull the crystall out of the ground. He immediatly found that the crystall was actually much larger than it had at first appeared. Upon uncovering dirst surrounding the crystal, Toster quickly found several other large crystals. Not sure which ones to choose, he took all of them, and deposited them in a leather pouch. Turning to K'munee, Toster nodded, and exited the dark cave. As Toster's eyes began to adjust to the light he noticed that his master was already sitting next to his ship, taking various metallic parts out of a jet black sack, and placing them onto an unfurled blanket. "These are the various parts which make up a lightsaber. This you see here, is the shell of the lightsaber." As the jedi master spoke, he pointed at the various corresponding parts and sections of the lightsaber. "This is the power cell, this is the activation lever, followed by the blade intensity and length adjusters, the recharge socket, the emitter matrix, and finally the internals access lever. This you see hear, are the internals of a lightsaber. This is the battery pack, and this is where you insert the crystals. Although you may want to build a custom lightsaber, this one will suffice for now. Put the cystals in place, and see if it works." Doing as his master said, Toster picked up the lightsaber's internals, and placed two of the larger crystals into place. He than picked up the shell, placed the internals inside, and locked them in. Pointing the saber away from himself and his master, Toster switched on the activation lever. He was delighted to see a bright blue blade of light burst out from the saber, creating a low humming sound. Testing out the various levers, he adjusted the length and intensity of the blade to his liking. "Now that you have your lightsaber, and you are fully trained in its use, I will take you to Manaan, where you will be presented to the jedi council." Surprised to hear his master's announcement, Toster quickly jumped into his ship, and followed his master out of atmosfere.

After the sparring had concluded, Toster fell onto the hot, dusty, desert floor. Wiping the sweat off his face, he got up and took a drink for his cantine. The cool water trickled down his throat. Finishing what was left of the water, he put the cantine away and began to speak with K'munee. "Master, is it time we looked for crystals for my lightsaber on Ilum?" The Jedi master nodded, than indicated for him to get into his ship. Upon entering his starfighter, Toster turned on his computers and set his course for Ilium. Looking behind him, he saw that his masters ship had already began its ascent. Following K'munee's lead, Toster left the planet's atmosfere.

*Caught off guard, Toster found himself both disoriented and surprised at his master's move. The sand in his eyes burned, as he tried to blink the hazyness away. Not able to see, Toster reached into the force, trying to use it as a second pair of eyes. Although he could see almost nothing but what seemed like little patches of warm light, he immediatley sensed that K'munee was within swords length, even though Toster had been retracting the whole time. Hoping that to catch his master off guard, he brought his wooden sword low in a swirving manuever. He meant to score a blow at the Jedi's left ankle, knocking him to the ground.

*After taking a long drink from his master's cantine, Toster began to look to the horizon, not really focusing on anything at all. It was to his surprise that his arm automatically reached up to catch a wooden sword that his master had thrown his way. Understanding his master's words, He began to try to find a point of inner peace, through which he might channel the Force to help him in his actions. Watching his master spin towards him, wooden sword making a low to high slash, Toster decided to try a parry. He stepped back, giving himself space, than brought his sword in front of him at stomach level, pushing his Master's wooden sword to the left. He tried to place a counter attack, believeing that the Jedi master's had been breached by his previous parry, but when he tried to bring his sword forward, Toster found his sword being deflected to the side by his obviously more expierenced master. This left him open to attack, and so Toster jumped back to retain a defensive position. Sweat dripping from his face, he awaited his masters next move.

*Listening carefully to his master's instructions, Toster felt the hot morning sun burning on his back, even through his clothes. Thinking that he would take advantage of the moment, he got up and nodded. "Yes master, I shall do as you wish." *Closing his eyes, Toster began to think about a clear, crystal, glass filled with ice cold water. He imagined the every drop of cool water in the cup, feeling it slide down his hot dry throat, quencing his undying thirst. He could practically feel his hand gripping the cold glass. He began the let the force wash into him, slowly mixing in with the visions in his mind. Toster than began to push forward his thoughts, torwards his master using a technique similar to the one he had used at the training facility to "speak" telepathically with his friends. After he had concluded he opened his eyes and looked at his master. "Did it work Master K'munee?"

*Looking at the training saber in his hand Toster was surprised to find that he would begin his combate training so early. He had already used a training saber several times in the training facility but he had never really been taught how to deflect blaster shots. He looks at his master hesitantly. "Very well then Master. I am ready." *Toster raised his training saber, holding it in what he thought was a defensive position. He didn't really know what to expect at first and so he waited for the first shot. "Ouch!", he shouted as he was hit by the bolt in the ribs. Assuming once again a defensive position, Toster this time tried to focus the force through the lightsaber not really paying attention to his master's finger on the blaster's trigger. He was hit once again, this time in the stomache, but he tried not to show signs of pain. He again prepared for his master's next move, focusing this time not only on his lightsaber, but on his hands, and the muscles in his arms. He concentrated on himself and the saber in his hands, using the force as a sort of glue, connecting his inner self to the training saber, as they became one single entity. The next time his master fired, Toster almost didn't even notice that he had deflected the bolt torwards one of Tatooine's twin suns. It was as if his muscles had moved instinctivly in an automatic reaction. Toster continued to train with his master, occasionally feeling the bitter sting of a blaster bolt in his side. The more mentally exhuasted he became, the less effective were his blocks, and so after deciding that he could train no more for today, Toster fell to the hot, coarse, desert floor. He looked up at his master, wiping the sweat off his face with his sleave. "I believe that is all I can take for now master. Although I will continue to train if you wish."

*Drained from the exercise, Toster drops to the ground next to his master, who seems to also be suffering from exhuastion, although not as much as himself. He listens to his master speak, while still trying to control his rapid breathing. After a few hours of rest shade, after the sun has dropped beyond the horizon Toster gets up, and begins to run towards camp. He quickly finds that this time around, running was much easier, especially without the scorching twin suns beating on his back.*

Having heard and understood his master, Toster began to run in the direction of the mountains. By way of judgment, he concluded that they were atleast 10 miles distance away from him. He would never be able to run 10 miles in the pace at which his master was moving, especially not under the scorching heat of Tatooine's twin suns. "I must focus, or I'll die of exhaustion.", Toster thought to himself as he tried to keep up with his master's long strides. After a few minutes he began to feel an intense heat coming over his body. "Focus.", he thought once again. As he started to channel the force through his legs he began to feel a wave a relief. He used the force to move his legs up, than forward, than down. Although this took some effort, it saved his leg muscles from fatigue, and increased his speed considerably. He continued to run alongside his master, hoping that the Jedi Master wouldn't begin to accelerate.

*Looking at the large arsenal of weapons laying in front of him, Toster began to ponder about just what his master had in mind for his "training". He started examining the surrounding desert, finding that there wasn't a soul for miles.* "No master, I have no questions. I am only eager to begin my training."

*His starfighter slowly descends into atmosfere, Toster's ship automatically lands. As he exits his ship squinting to protect his eyes from the sand being carried by the dry desert wind. "What fate awaits me on this hostile dustball?", Toster thinks to himself, leaning against his ship, watching his master in the process of landing.*
