Korriban

As the young man sat there, along the cold ground of the long forgotten Korriban temple, there was a voice that came to him. It was odd, almost familiar, yet it seemed so strange. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up on ends, feeling a chilled breeze as they made their spiritual connection..

Boy, boy.. Yes, you. Address me when I address you..

Keeping his eyes closed, the young man could also be seen mumbling infront of him. It was still very strange, but as their conversation moved on, he got more adept to talking to the dead..

"Yes, yes. I am here.. Who are you?"

That does not concern you.. The only thing that to be of concern if you.. Why are you here?..

"Well, I'm-- my name is Tethyn and.. I cam looking for the unknown. A greater force beyond what I have been used to being told only in books.."

Do you believe it now? What you're hearing, what you're feeling.. everything around this place. Do you feel the dark side of the Force?

"I do, I do.. it's just--"

Just what?.. Don't hesitate when you speak. Be proud of your lineage, Sith..

"Sith?.. Me? I am?.."

In time, it will feel more comfortable. It will be..

The duo talked, mumbled, even laughed at parts at times. The man's voice was wise and humorous, something inviting for once.. It was nice to have a chat with him.

John looked about... he was wondering whether Korriban's armory remained intact, they could save time and he could avoid seeing his betrothed a little longer... maybe allow her emotions to cool down. Then he shook his head violently, figuring himself a bloody coward if he couldn't face her...

He stroked his beard and waited...

I at least hope he gets something out of this.

Then, John went in search of the Korriban armory... and he smirked, apparently some of the famous weaponry happened to be hanging around and more importantly, armor. "Well... if I've already bastardized my image..."

He scavenged about and found a fiber armor vest, a few spare single-bladed lightsabers, a Sith saber and a Sith Battle Axe. They looked similar to his own arsenal, but were far from refined. He grabbed another fiber armor vest and came up to his Apprentice... dropping the second vest, a generic lightsaber and the Sith saber.

Waiting for him to become alert... "We move out, to the atmosphere above Coruscant, I have a feeling... this will be a good idea."

There conversation ended a bit abruptly, the apparhesion fading the moment the weaponry dropped. He literally gasped, being broken of the bond and being casted onto the floor. Rubbing his neck slightly, he returned back to the living current world, now face to face with weaponry.

"Coruscant?.. What for?"

The young man instantly got the feeling he would not be answered, rather being bent to the rulings of his Master. Yet, it was a good feeling. It allowed him a certain possession, a goal to achieve the point of recognition from the older man. Brining himself back up, he dusted his clothing up, immediately taking up the Sith saber.

"Hmm.. Yes, yes. I like this. What does it do? Teach me everything. I want it all."

Smirking a tad bit, his demeanor had certainly changed since the conversation with the dead. He told him to be more assertive, a trait commonly reverred amoungst the Sith, the ability to take charge. He also admired it, allowing the feeling to fill his body and absorb him..

John smirked, the boy's eagerness was a good trait... a bit premature, but beneficial. John pointed towards the Sith saber, the metallic blade shimmering in the dimly lit environment... "Follow me and I'll explain everything." The elder Sith offered Tethyn one of the spare lightsaber, "Trust me, you'll need it."

As they walked back towards the exit, John began, "A Sith saber is the weapon of the archaic Sith and a great weapon for an Apprentice to begin with. I felled my first opponents with a Sith saber and kept it with me... already your Navi-computer holds the coordinates of my home on Raxus Prime, but we move on Coruscant. The Sith have been called on to assist the Empire in their conquest of the Galaxy's Capital. The Imperial Remnant has made their move."

When he was done, he motioned for the Apprentice to board his ship, "I have the coordinates of the Imperial Fleet... we are to regroup, as I am partaking in the Sith Assault on the Jedi. The Dark Lord himself... if he has awoken, will be present to aid us. I want you to stay by my side... there is no greater way to learn than to be thrown into the thicket of things. I was a mere Apprentice under my Master, Lord Bishop, when I was hurled into combat with several of the Tyranid species. While they are weaker than the Jedi... I want you to watch me and observe as much as possible from me. If you feel up to the challenge, engage the Jedi Knights... however, do not throw yourself into something greater than yourself."

John paused for a second and looked upon the clean blade's edge, "Here... run your finger along the edge and bleed upon it. Only through such a simple ritual, can a blade truly link with it's owner."

John nodded as he watched and nodded towards the ships, "Let's go... or we'll miss the party." He leapt into the cockpit and vaulted into his seat, the R7 Droid beeped to life... it was by far quite an unpleasant companion and if only for his perpetual insistance on giving himself a hard time, he liked it that way. "R7 take us to these coordinates," as John manually entered them and sent them to Tethyn's ship.

Within minutes... and a few random arguments about droid efficiency, John and R7 were off and heading towards the Moaning Hapan.

The inedpt skill that was lacking showed in how he treated the blade, moving the handle around with not much form. It would take a while before he learned the true weight of the saber, how it moved with the gentle twists of his wrist, and most importantly, how it would be an extension of the dark side to his own willl.

Glaring up at the man, he heard about the ritualistic bleeding, not entirely sure the significance, but he learned to try and push that logical side of his brain out. He did not want to be concerned with the impossible anymore..

The lower end of the handle was sharp enough for the end to cut his hand, scraping across the skin around his middle finger. He let the bit of blood gather before smearing the smooth crimson along one side, letting it seap deep into the metallic frame and become stained with his blood.

"Jedi?.."

That word took a moment to process, a word that was familiar, but entirely unsure. Then, it hit him. In the books, it was described as their nemesis, the faction that nearly wiped the entire Sith race many years ago.

"So they do exist still then... Well, nothing better then the present."

Moments before they left, one hand scooped up the fallen armor, Sith blade in hand, as the duo made their way to the ship. Carrying himself inside, he found a place to sit down, praticing igniting and distinguishing the Sith blade while learning more about the armor as well..

I feel alive again.. This is so much better then reading for the rest of my life.

Marcellus nodded in acceptance of his task and the fact that his master had to leave him. He had heard the message asking for help from any Sith available, and he longed to go and help his master but he knew what was at hand was more important than anything at the moment.

"The time has come for my true journey to start.”

(( I'm sorry for the double post, but I was told to do three seperate posts for my lightsaber creation. ))

While Marcellus continued to slave over the creation of his lightsaber, the creature that lurked in the shadows of the mine was closing the distance between them. Its golden eyes could be seen in the darkness, but the apprentice wasn't really paying much attention to his surroundings. When it got close enough he could sense the creature through the force.

Huh?!”¦ what is that. Something is heading this way”¦

Deciding not to give away his knowledge of the creature he continued to work and act as if he didn't know of it creeping up on him. ”œMy saber won't be ready. Guess the old blade will have to due.”

((OOC: You could have edited the above post and then add your new post, seperating the two. But oh well...))

The Shrieking Talon and an Imperial transport landed on the planet. The pilot of the escort shuttle walked out of the ship and back into the Imperial transport. The transport than took off, leaving the escort shuttle available for Marcellus if he needed it.

(( Yeah I know, but for some reason it isn't letting me edit posts. Computer running crappy. Anyways, DONE! ))

Marcellus Nero had been working diligently at the creation of his lightsaber, but something was heading his way. It was a presence in the force that was extremely strong in the dark side of the force. He looked over his creation with great pleasure. The saber was quite unique, the custom saber staff had a unique black and blue colored hilt with gold trimming. It had the capabilities to change the length of the blades on each end, and is capable of converting into two separate sabers.

”œWhat a beautiful sight this saber is, it fits well with my sadistic mindset. Many foes will fall to it's blades.

Meanwhile, the presence had grown much closer. Almost as if it were coming straight toward the young apprentice, Marcellus knew that it probably already knew of his presence. Marcellus lifted his bladed weapon up from the table and strapped it to his back and then grabbed hold of his saber's hilt with his right hand. He metal was still warm from the laser that had been used to construct the saber.

Let's see if the blades compare to the hilt's design in beauty. Thought Nero as he gripped the saber's hilt with both hands.

Clicking each of the ignition buttons Marcellus ignited the copper blades of the saber. The hum from the saber was louder than the average saber and the blades shined brightly. The orange blade with a white inner glow was quite beautiful. He took a played around with the saber staff a bit, performing a few twirls and combo like attacks. Next he tested the hilt disengaging system, with a push of the button Marcellus allowed the saber to separate forming two normal size sabers.

”œAmazing! They separate with so much ease and they require little effort to hold. It is amazing how light the weapon is.”

  • 2 weeks later...

The ancient planet of the Sith had once again been left cold, lonely, and dark. But that is the way that the planet had always been. The destruction of the planet over the course of years had ripped the planet to shreds, many of the ancient tombs of the great Sith left shattered. There were only a few fresh tombs, the burial ground of the more recent Sith Masters who had defied time and death itself. Few knew who rested in these tombs, few knew where the greats of recent years currently were. Some were still alive, others were buried on planets scattered throughout the galaxy. But one in particular, had dissapeared completely.

For what seemed like an eternity, the shattered spirit of Raynuk Montar, also known as Darth Quietus, suffered under the mystical powers of the netherworld. But something had changed, and now, beneith the shattered, scarred landscape of Korriban, the spirits of old stirred again... But this time, they were lead by the one known as 'The Lost Soul'.

  • 2 months later...

Lord Maultros stepped out of the ship and his apprentice followed. Once outside the Sith Lord turned to his newly acquired apprentice and then looked towards the vast forests that surrounded them. Thinking upon what he wanted Achzet to do, Marcellus remained silent for a short while. After decided on what his apprentice's task was Lord Maultros smiled and lifted his head to face Achzet.

"Somewhere in this forest is a cave which has two levels. On the first level you will confront someone or something from your past that haunts you still to this day. Once you have defeated what it is that you fear, then you will travel down to the second level... where I shall be waiting." Said the Master before turning to leave his apprentice. Using the aid of the force Marcellus sped off into the forest.

Here shall be where Achzet discovers his true self... Or it will be the place where he forever loses himself.

(( Give me 3 long posts, of you finding the cave and stuff... after those three posts you can travel to the second level of the cave and meet me. ))

Achzet bowed downward to his master, then stood back up. Achzet walked into the forest like environment. He took in a deep breath and began his long journey towards the cave like structure.

Achzet could feel the power of the darkside surrounding the entire planet. It fueled himself. He felt... good. He couldn't really describe the feeling that he recieved from the planet. It was if it was even a power greater than the force. Just something... elsewhere. Achzet turned the thought away from his dark and horrorfull mind.

Achzet walked deeper into the jungle. He felt it suddenly get more humid. He continued to travel through the thick, dense forest that was the planet of Korriban.

I must be getting closer to this cave.

Achzet began to get slightly bored. He saw a small creature sitting on the ground, eating a small type of insect. Achzet smirked and picked up the creature by its neck and simply pushed its neck until it snapped. Achzet smirked and threw the creature as far as he could. Achzet did not hear the creature hit any type of solid rock. Achzet walked over to where he threw the creature and saw the opening to the large cave.

Achzet sighed with a large relief.

Master, I have made it to the cave.

Marcellus stood in the base of the cave cloaked in darkness. Standing in water knee deep Lord Maultros looked around him, the veil of darkness hiding many of the aspects of the cave from plain sight but through the force Marcellus was able to see through the dark.

"Daedric better not disappoint..." Whispered the Sith Lord to himself as he withdrew the two colbalt cylinders from his robe. Clicking the buttons located halfway down its shaft Marcellus ignited the copper blades and allowed them to climb forth from its the cold metal that once held them.

Practicing his strikes and maneuvers with dual sabers Marcellus was quickly adapting to that style of combat and had practially cast aside the saberstaff form he had begun with. While he was doing this Lord Maultros felt his apprentice growing closer, he was yet to enter the cave however.

Good... Now you must face your worst fear, I cannot be the one that chooses what you face. That is for your conscious to decide upon once you are ready.... now go forth and prove your worth to me.

Achzet took a gulp of air. He felt it pass through his lungs. Then, he breathed out deeply once more.

Achzet walked into the cave. It was very damp and very, very dark from what he could tell. He wondered if there were anything he would face soon. He remembered his master talking about his worst fear and that he would face his worst fear in this very cave. Achzet travelled deeper into the dark filled cave.

Achzet walked for approximately a quarter mile before finding some kind of blinding light. Achzet walked closer to it. As he became a mere three feet away from it. The light began to take shape of something. Not really something, just a someone. It was someone he had not seen in fifteen years. It was his deceased father. Achzet remembered the night he died and how happy he was when he killed him.

*Flashback*

A small child could be heard crying from a distance away. It was a young Ki Hoiz Achzet at age four. Tears were streaking down his little, puffy, white cheeks. Then a loud smack could be heard as the small child was slapped in the face by a man that seemed very annoyed.

"Shut up!," the man yelled at the infant as he slapped the child once more.

Achzet stood up and ran away and into a corner. Achzet's father came at him once more. Achzet could feel himself getting out of control, the rage he had was unimaginable.

"STOP IT!!!" Achzet yelled in an inhuman like voice. Then, Achzet lost it. He eyes went a deep red color and he pushed out his hand. The man flew backwards and into the wall behind him. Achzet took out a small knife from a small cabinet and ran over to the man. He began to stab him repeatedly in the chest until a puddle of blood came over the man and onto the little boys clothing.

*End of flashback*

Achzet saw the man nod and then he slowly disappeared. Tears began to run down Achzet's pale face. He then, wiped them away and walked deeper into the cave. He sent a message through the force to his master.

I have done as you asked master. I am coming for you now.

The sound of splashing water and the hum of lightsabers slicing through the air echoed through the cave. Lord Maultros danced about in the water using the force to aid him in his various flips and footplants on the walls of the cave. Coming to rest in the middle of the water Marcellus held his arms out to his sides and released his grip on the cylinders that emitted the copper blades. While the blades crept back into their casing Lord Maultros was reaching out through the force, feeling the hatred in the air, drawing upon every bit of emotion that he could find. Including that of young Achzet above him.

Just hurry here...

Lord Maultros sent the thought message to his apprentice as he reached out the the hatred and angression the he had gathered from himself, the earth, and young Achzet. Pushing it out from his body Marcellus pushed the water away from his figure creating a rift in the water all the way across the cave. Lifting the water through the force Marcellus pulled it into a ball in front of him and held it there, awaiting the moment his apprentice came into sight.

"Here is where his true test begins... if he can impress me here than we shall continue, but if not then he shall die here in this cave hidden beneath the water that I currently wield." Whispered the Sith Lord to himself as he awaited young Achzet

Achzet felt the returned force message and nodded to himself. He walked onward in the darkness that was Korriban. He used the force to increase his sight and ability to sense harmful objects. He ventured deeper and deeper into the cave.

It wasn't long until Achzet stumbled upon an environmentally made set of stairs. Achzet walked down them and found his master standing tall with a large ball of water near his hand. Achzet began to wonder what he was going to do with it.

Once, Achzet had descended the stairs that led to the waterhole that Marcellus had been waiting in, the Sith Lord smiled as he let loost a giant beam of water that collided with the apprentice and sent him flying against the wall. Keeping the beam of water on the hopeful Lord Maultros toyed with his apprentice.

"Here is where your test beings young one. The beam of water is pushing down on you, much like the pressure from life and constant struggle for the things that you want in life."

Continuing the blast of water by recycling the offspray Marcellus kept his apprentice at bay.

Use the force young one... escape from the flow of water.

Achzet felt the beam of water slam into his chest. He grunted as it hit him. He felt a sharp pain as he slammed into the wall. Achzet grabbed his chest and felt that a few of his ribs had been broken. Achzet used the pain to his advantage and helped it fuel his anger. He became completely focused and ready.

I can feel no pain. I can feel nothing.

Achzet released a small amount of his anger and felt the beam move slightly. Achzet then began to release more and more of his anger, only to have himself slammed back down once more by his master.

Achzet began to get very frustrated. He felt so much anger in his veins. He could hardly control it. He felt like an animal in a primal rage. Then, he lost it.

A large wave of energy emitted from Achzet's body and it refracted the beam of water back at his master. He could feel his master get slammed into the wall behind him. Achzet smiled menacingly at the sound of the carcass of the Sith Lord hitting the wall of the cave.

I have grown more powerful than ever before. I cannot be beaten. I am invincible.

Lord Maultros had been caught off guard by the amount of force applied by Achzet and had been sent flying into the cave wall. As he slid down its rocky surface and came to rest waist deep in the water that had recollected in the base of the cave Marcellus smiled as the pain coursed through his aching body. His apprentice had surprised him and that is all that he hoped for.

”œGood”¦”

Once his apprentice had taken his position Marcellus couldn't help but to smirk at the sight of Daedric's lacking defense. The copper glow from his dual sabers and the menacing grin spread across his lips made the Sith Lord resemble a demon, a creature of pain. Bursting out into laughter Marcellus twirled each of his sabers, the left following closely behind the right. The sound of the twirling blades echoed through out the cave and as the Sith Lord crossed them sparks were sent flying in the direction of Daedric.

”œBwahahahahaha”

A black Jedi Starfighter dropped out of hyperspace, ejected from it's ring and decended towards the planet Korriban, alledged "birthplace" of the Sith. Before exiting his ship the man put on his custom Mandaloran Armor, and pulled out his trusty EE-3 blaster rifle.

Maybe I will be accepted into the Sith if I retrieve some artifacts. It will be a difficult task, but it is worth it.

He climbed out of his ship and blasted off on his jetpack, setting off for the Sith Ruins. When he landed, he silently snuck into one of the tombs.

Closing the door, he was walking along the musty corridor until he felt one of the stone tiles on floor give a littlle. He immediately stopped in his tracks, stopping to think for a bit.

That's strange. It feels like someone or something is watching me.

Suddenly, without warning, the man spun around and blasted something on the ceiling. The smoldering remains of a heavy defense turret clattered to the floor.

Better be more careful next time.

He continued on, dodging traps, until he reached what appeared to be a Sith Sarcophagus. Anakin was just about to open it when a voice behind him said in a loud voice.

You there, Stop!

The young man whirls around to find himself face-to-face with a Sith Spirit.

Have you entered my tomb as a theif, just here to steal valuables? Or have you come to learn about the great and powerful Sith?

I have come to gather Sith Artifacts and present them to the master of the academy on Cardia. In exchange, I hope to be trained as a Sith.

Well, you have come to the right place. I am Ajunta Pall, Sith Master.

If you can recite for me the sacred Code of the Sith, I will tell you where my valuables are buried.

That dosen't seem too hard

Oh, but it is! In order to become a Sith, you must truly understand the code. Now, recite it for me.

The young man recites...

Peace is a lie, there is only passion...

Through Passion I gain strength...

Through strength I gain power...

Through power I gain victory...

Through victory my chains are broken....

The force shall free me...

Very good. I sense you understand. You have passed the test. My valuables are located in the first corridor. Blast the tile above the statue on the left and a platform will lower. On it are my lightsaber, which I doubt stilll works, a Krath sword, and Ancient Sith Robes, the Dark Iron is probably a little rusted.

Thank you, Master Pall. I know these Items will help me on my quest for power.

Ajunta vanishes and Anakin goes to the first corridor and retrieves the items. He retuns to his ship and sets off for Cardia.

After hours of flying, The shuttle finally landed on Korriban. Durandal still had a mental lock on the man who once trained him. Not only did he feel the dark side, But he felt it to be with Master Achzet.

This could not be true...

His worst fear had been realized. His master has turned. And now he needs to go after him. Having Master Kirlocca with him gave him some much needed comfort, But this was his problem. His carreer as a jedi would forever be altered by the course of his Master's. He felt the light deep inside him. He would never turn to the dark. But his master felt the same way..

The ramp of the ship lowered and the two Jedi set out, following Ki-Hoiz Achzet's presence.

"Master.. Will he have to engage him? Im not sure if I have the strength.."

*Kirlocca felt out the force on the planet.*

"If it does come to a fight...Stay close to me. Watch my moves. Your objective in a fight should be to stay alive and away from the dark side. Leave most of the fighting to me."

*Kirlocca allowed himself to reasure both Durandal and himself that he could take on whatever surprise might pop up when on the planet.*

Achzet...you are not alone...

*The jedi master put his hand on his lightsaber, knowing that Achzet had company, and knowing that his company was longing for a fight.*

Achzet had been battered by the assault, but was still intact. Then, he sensed someone close to him. Or, at least used to be close to him.

"Master, I sense my previous apprentice and.... Jedi Master Kirlocca. Let us slaughter them. I long the taste for blood once more."

Achzet cared not what his master did. Achzet followed the two's force presence and soon arrived at him.

"Master Kirlocca and... jedi apprentice Durandal. Welcome to Korriban. Now, prepare to die by my hand."

Master... let me take my apprentice.

"You seem quick to want to fight, even knowing that I could have your head this second if I wanted it."

*Kirlocca kept his hand on his lightsaber hilt, prepared to fight.*

"I have just one question for you Achzet, why?"

*Kirlocca took a couple of steps forward.*

"Why put your former master through pain? Why abandon everything that you were taught? Why turn your back on people who put time and energy into you? Why waste your life by making this desicion?"
