Damon enjoyed watching the class, but his mind had driffted back to the temple on couasant. Damon knew from the force it still stood and full of light. He was simply unsure how much. Damon exited the class as quietly as he had entered. Damon left the jedi base with out having the ray shields turned on him this time, returned to his ship, and left for the temple on coursant.

Its a blast from the not so distant past.

Ulos felt the bamboo sticks smack together with a loud clacking sound. Darex had made a horizontal cut that the apprentice had been forced to quickly respond to. It was a bit odd to be on the defencive after being the aggressor for two times in a row. Now his hands shook as the sticks collided together at the moment of the block.

Ulos' eyes followed the bamboo stick of his master as he brought it upwards until it was pointing to the heavens above. It then started back downward toward the apprentice in a verticle slash. The move was quite fast, and various different things rushed through the mind of the defender. He quickly sought to drown them out and flood them from his mind as the light side fell over him and he began to feel for his next move. If he raised his stick parallel to the ground beneat him and blocked, then the force that Darex had put in his swing might be halted and a sucessful block would be made.

I hope that this works.

As he rose his stick, Ulos once again felt the force of his master's strength aid the bamboo stick as it collided with his. The apprentice's hand vibrated and now he thought he would try something more than just staying on the defensive. A counterattack would better suit him right now he felt. However, given the fact that his master was much quicker than he, Ulos decided that the best he could do would be to cause a bit more space between the two combatents.

Drawing the force to his body, he felt a wave of calm rush over and engulf him and every fiber of his being was full of some measure of tranquility. Bringing his foot up, he planted the sole of his boot into his master with a quick kick. To make sure that his master simply didn't just slash downward and hit his leg, Ulos had pushed both of the bamboo sticks into the air, away from the chest of Darex.

I believe I'm improving.

Bringing his bamboo stick over his head, he felt it was the time that he followed up the attack while his master was hopefully off balance. Using the speed of the force, he brought his bamboo stick behind his back, blocking the stick that had been sent flying toward his previously unprotected backside. Because the kick had moved him forward, he was able to create a slight enough time difference between the collision with the stick and the strike from his master that he was able to deal with each seperatly. Now he made a giant leap toward the man that stood before him. Drawing on the strength of every muscle in his body, he gripped the weapon tightly and prepared to bring it down on Darex.

Bringing his arms back around to the front of his body in an incredibly quick motion, Ulos' swing came crashing down upon the knight with the aided momentum of the leap that the padawan had taken. In the split second that it took for the bamboo stick to cut through the air and down to the man below him, a quick thought rushed through his brain. If he missed, he would have to hope that he'd be able to recover in time. Due to this thought, he tightened his grip even further to give him more control.

He's getting better, Darex thought as Ulos came at him with a mighty leap. Using the kick for momentum, he rolled back onto his back, holding his stick horizontally across his body. As Ulos came crashing down, Darex caught his bamboo pole with his own and shoved up and back, throwing Ulos over his shoulder and tossing him to the ground.

The Jedi Knight took the moment offered and rolled to his feet, bringing his blade sideways and lashing out at his padawan. Ulos met it with a steady lock from his position on the ground, and Darex gave a feral grin. Flipping his large bamboo stick around, he used the lock to twist Ulos' weapon out of his hands and send it skidding through the dust. Darex lowered his own 'blade' to Ulos' throat.

"Very good work, my young apprentice," Darex said, breathing heavily. He tossed his pole to the side and reached out a hand to help Ulos up. "I barely beat you."

He smiled broadly. "Take a breather. You deserve it."

Brushing himself off and running a hand through his blonde hair to get rid of some of the dirt in it, the tall Jedi Knight moved back towards the center of the clearing. He cleared his throat, calling all the hopefuls' attention. "While there are significant differences between the two, practicing dueling with bamboo poles is the best alternative to training lightsabers. Good effort, all of you. Gather around."

While they came close, Darex spoke to Ulos through the Force. //Join us, if you wish.\\

When they were all assembled, Darex spoke again. "The Jedi Code is something that guides the entire Order. It is a set of guidlines that will not fail you, no matter what situation you find yourself in.

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serentity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force."

As he spoke them, the words affected even him. They were so powerful, and reassured him every time he heard them that this was what he was meant to do. "Meditate on these words, and discover what they mean to you."

Armiena's unnamed Baudo-class Star Yacht appeared out of hyperspace. At the helm of the light freighter, the pilot was already scowling. Armiena hated Haruun Kal; it was warm, humid, and the jungles on the surface offered countless ways to kill a man or a careless Jedi.

In a few minutes, the ship touched down in the base's main hangar and Jedi Knight Armiena Draygo appeared at the boarding ramp. In no time at all, she received another reminder of why she disliked this planet so much. A local flying insect was buzzing around her head, then finally landed on her neck in search of a parasitic delicacy. Her hand squashed it immediately.

The bugs. Armiena hated Haruun Kal's bugs. She retreated into the base's interior before more of them sought out her tempting flesh.

*He finished looking through the books in the library and started to wander about the facility. His thoughts were spinning about the current events and the current leaders of the Jedi. When he stopped walking he found himself in a high ceiling chamber were the traning of a young one was being held. The teacher looked familure but Tristin couldn't remember her name.*

Kira looked towards the door, spying a man standing just inside the doorway. She glanced back at her padawan, watching him practicing as she moved back over towards the newcomer.

"Can I help you with something?"

There was something familiar about him, she'd seen him back at the Temple on Coruscant. He seemed trained but she wasn't certain if he'd been Knighted or not.

Kleew-Sele thought about what Darex had said.

"There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serentity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force."

Kleew-Sele repeated these words in his head. He cleared his mind just as he did when fighting Dwight, and while using the force to move objects.

"There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serentity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force."

He repeated. He wasn't quite sure how to meditate. Kleew-Sele kept his mind clear, and repeated the words that Darex said.

"There is no emotion, there is peace."

Kleew-Sele repeated. this is the one statement that he was the most confused about.

"There is no ignorance, there is knowledge."

He understood this, ignorance is to be uneducated. Knowledge however, is to know something to be a fact.

"There is no passion, there is serentity."

This was something Kleew-Sele knew about personally. When he was young, his family was killed. For a long time, he had a passion of hatred toward the empire. But soon, he understood that it was fate. That is when he became serene about the empire.

"There is no chaos, there is harmony."

Kleew-Sele completely understood this. Chaos is a state of confusion, while harmony is a state of understanding.

"There is no death, there is the Force."

This was another statement that puzzled Kleew-Sele. He understood the ways of the force, and he understood death. But he was unsure how the two were related.

Although he understood what most of these words meant, he still didn't understand how to meditate, or how some of them are related. Kleew-Sele sat, breathing heavely, with his mind clear, repeating the words that he had just heard.

The force seemed to pounce upon him from behind, taking his mind away from his body and consuming it in the energy force that surrounded them all. He could see everything from a higher up view in an almost surreal fashion. He could feel his body reacting in the duel. The force did not guide his movements, rather it held the majority of his skill in place, keeping him from truly reacting to his partner.

It was only when the fight was over that the grip on him was released allowing him true control over his body. He was humiliated to be beaten by such a person, but perhaps that was what the force was trying to teach him was a lesson in humility. He stuck the pole in the ground and walked over to his partner, holding out his hand to shake the others.

"It was a good spar, congratulations..."

OOC: sorry Dwight for the whole sparing thing. We spoke about it, and thank you for not "pole smaking" me.

IC:Kleew-Sele opened his eyes, and looked to Dwight. He stood up, and shook Dwight's hand.

"Yes, it was. Thank you for excepting my challenge."

Kleew-Sele replied. He made a gesture as to ask Dwight to sit next to him. Kleew-Sele sat, and continued trying to meditate. He heard a beep, then looked behind him. A few meters back, R6 was sitting patiently. Kleew-Sele had almost forgot about R6. Instead of saying anything, he just simply let R6 sit, and wait. He continued to try to meditate.

*Tristin walked over to the padawan Bling who seemed to be performing some exercises. He watched for a moment to see exactly what the young man was doing, he took a deep breath.

Only Kira's eyes were able to witness his split second dash. In fact Tristin moved so fast that the only time she was able to see him clearly was when he leaped to the ceiling of the room flashed her a peace sign and then kicked off the wall, landing right back where he had started.

In real time only a millisecond of time had passed. He released the breath slowly.*

Kira raised her eyebrow at Tristin as he demonstrated his skill at that particular maneuver, breaking into a laugh at his peace sign.

"Show off"

She motioned for Bling to practice as she moved over towards Tristan.

"You've obviously well versed with skills. Like to demonstrate some more to my padawan?"

She grinned at him in challenge, her vivid blue eyes sparkling as she brushed a silver strand of hair back behind her ear.

The moment Armiena Draygo stepped foot in the vastly improved Jedi base, she visibly relaxed. The heat, humidity, and bugs of Haruun Kal became only an unfortunate memory as she strode further into the base, towards the training rooms. The Jedi Knight was still quite frustrated at having missed the entire battle that had taken place on Coruscant, regardless of whether she had a choice in the matter, and she was eager to reduce a helpless sparring dummy to a pulverized mass.

However, any wisps of frustration evaporated like water on Tatooine when she entered the primary training room and spotted Darex Trevelian. Her frown slowly morphing into a broad smile, Armiena stepped behind the Hopefuls he was teaching and regarded her old friend with crossed arms.

Anything in particular you want me to do?

*A smile crossed his lips and then he was gone. This time he kept his speed at a blur so the young padawan could see it. He made a quick circle of the room filling it with an odd wake in the Force, it was the same feeling required to fully tap into all of the neutral gifts of the Force.

He then turned toward the nearest wall and instead of jumping he just extended his stride and continued running vertically. The ceiling only caused him to leap length wise across the top and run down the opposite wall.

His feet touched the ground and the blur formulated into a single being once more. Yet he didn't stop, he raised a small bag from his pocket and tossed it up, then with a bit of focus he burst the bag and marbles raced across the room.

He raised his hand and once more the force moved at his call and lifted a marble. Other marbles soon followed as he raised his other hand and called them all together into one ball. He glanced at Kira and Bling and dropped both hands, yet the marble ball remained suspended for a moment before exploding. Each launched from there position and flew around the room haphazardly, yet when all the erratic movement stopped the marbles had formed a diorama of the galaxy slowly spinning in the middle of the air. With a casual wave all the marbles floated down and into a bag Tristin held open.

It was at that moment a droid walked into the room, a combat model. The construction was solid and it looked to weigh at least a thousand pounds. Each arm on the droid of which there was a total of four lifted a different sort of close range weapon. It moved menacingly toward Tristin.

Yet the former knight didn't look the least bit bothered as we walked over toward it. He even yawned casually as he reached the droids combat circle. The droid however moved without hesitation, throwing all its arms at the man in white simultaneously.

Movement ceased at that point as Tristin's feet and arms each held back a different limb. Another warble in the force occurred around the Jedi and each of the limbs went flying away from him. He then disappeared from all visual standpoints for a moment before reappearing in front of the droid. His arm reared back before pushing though and launching the machine across the room, where it proceeded to fall into pieces.

He looked over at Bling.*

All of this will come with the study of the basics.

"And all this proves that you are still worthy of the title of Jedi Knight, Tristin Stellar."

Kira grinned at him. She had heard mention of his return, recalled him from the Council records. She hadn't been quite certain who he was when he first walked into the room, though she had felt out with her senses who he was. She winked at him before turning towards her padawan.

"Do you have any questions Bling? You will need to practice all of the skills you have been shown."

*As she winked and turned away Tristin gave a slow respectful bow. He was glad to have reclaimed his old title, some time soon he would have to try and take up a Padawan once more and see if he could finally reach the pinnacle of the Jedi's rank structure. Though knew it was not something necessary for his continued progress. It was just a political position in the long run.

He turned and headed out the door behind him.*

Darex remained silent, as each hopeful pondered the Code. Suddenly, he felt a very familiar presence. Looking up, he caught sight of Armiena. A broad smile lit up his face, and he crossed over to her.

He gave her the traditional Jedi greeting, an affectionate bow, then rose. "Armiena!" he said, his voice soft but not lacking in emotion. "It's so good to see you again! How have you been?"

Ulos felt his neck with his hands just to make sure it was still there. To his surprise, his head was still connected to the rest of his body. For a second, the padawan looked with disbelief upon that fact. Somewhere during the fight he had gotten so involved that he treated the bamboo not as mere sticks that could do little harm to an opponent. He had somehow regarded them as a deadly saber that could chop off limbs and body parts with ease, which is exactly what the the bamboo sticks represented.

As he stood, he was relieved to hear his master compliment him and say that he had deserved a rest from physical activity. His muscles were tensed so hard that it felt as though they had slowly morphed into stone and his skin was bathed in sweat as though he had taken a swim in the ocean world of Manaan. His body laid easily on the ground as he sat with his knees bent and his legs crossed, ready to listen to whatever his master might be able to say.

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serentity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force.

The words that came from Darex told him to meditated on this code. Apparently they held some sort of power that dictated every decision a jedi would make. It would give them a guideline for their entire lives and would help direct their purpose. It was good that all these others would be able to hear along with Ulos, for the road to physical protection also was a mental one. To ignore this would be a mental block that could cease progression.

There couldn't be any emotion for there to be peace. As the padawan thought about this, he realized that this was the one that he disliked the most. Emotions defined a person. It affected how they react in different situations and how they respond to different events could show what kind of a person was who. However, Ulos also recognized that the same reason that they affected people and defined them could be the reason that people were so selfish and fought for their own self. That certainly didn't promote peace...

For knowledge to come, one would have to be void of all ignorance. That would be pretty obvious to the padawan, for the two were complete opposites. Without knowledge, all that one would hold within the confines of their mind would be ignorance to all things. Such was quite undesirable to the man and he quickly agreed with this.

Once again he came across the fact that there could be no passion if there was serentiy. It reminded him very much of the first part of the code that said no peace could last with emotion. Passion would be hard to lay aside, since that is what drove many beings. However, Ulos realized that those same passions could be the stumbling block that led to ignorance or prejudice.

Chaos and harmony are always opposites. The mission of the jedi was take chaos in its raw state and transform it into tranquility and harmony. That was why Ulos was there, and this is what he would make his purpose to be. One day the galaxy would be rid of chaos, and harmony would be instilled in the galaxy.

The last, while maybe not the one he found the hardest to believe, was without a doubt the most interesting. To defy death and embrace what one couldn't see, touch, taste, or smell summed up the mystical energy that was the force. What one cannot see can still be there, and what one sees may not truly be there and just be an illusion. The concept was one that was quite intriguing...

Ulos' eyes opened and his head looked at his master as he hugged an obvious friend of his. He would wait for them to finish before he announced to him that he was done meditating and would have to wait for the others also. Of course, his master could take one look at him and know that he wasn't still meditating...but still...the human looked away so that his master didn't feel as though he were being stared out and his private matters were being made public and watched by the eyes of others. Speaking of feeling watched...he felt those hopefuls being watched by someone. Maybe they would soon see masters just as Ulos had found his...

I am ready...

Reideran Hasl slowly took a step towards the base. He looked upon it, not paying attention to anything else. Not even his own breathing was given any thought to. He finally got here.

"Man," Reid sighed. "Finally!"

He held himself and celebrated internally for a minute, with lots of joyous shouting all through is head. A step towards the base meant a step towards becoming a Jedi, which may or may not have meant a leap towards the lost memories that his mind had lost, besides all that after Tatooine. The camisados, the raging thugs, and the swinging of a vibroblade. What did it all mean besides violence and wanting a few more things to clog up the greed?

Reid now let go and began walking towards the base, each footstep screaming "TRIUMPH" in his head. However, there was no complete victory yet. He still had to find a master to accept him and begin his training. If he didn't, then all this joy would be wasted, and Reideran didn't want that. Especially not that. He'd rather fight a Mandalorian gang than lose all the happiness he had received from the spotting of the base.

"Well, here it goes," Reid spoke to himself, as he ran to the base, his vibroblade clanging around his belt.

A mile outside the Jedi base, Sahv Yorr ran with lightning speed toward a body of water. Reaching it, he stopped just before his foot was to touch the water. Across the short pond, he saw a medium-sized creature dipping its head down to get some water. It looked up, suddenly, as if alarmed by short-ordered presence. After a few short seconds, the creature sensed that there was no danger from the young man, and continued to quench its thirst.

Nature, Sahv thought. It had been some time since he'd been so close to life as it is in its most basal levels; he'd been among the elite pillars and computers and starships for far too long.

Sitting down, Sahv began to meditate. He sensed his surroundings to its fullest. He could feel the levels of energy that emanated from the powerful, force-pungent greenery of Haruun Kal. Sahv was reminded of its importance, somehow, in the makeup of what it means to be a member of life's society. This also translated into the ways of the Jedi, he knew.

"I must seek out basic physical training for my padawan," he said to himself, "and remind myself of its importance!"

"The Spear III" came out of hyperspace with a jolt over the planet Haruun Kal. This beautiful orb hung in space like an oasis of water and air. Fynn admired the beauty of the place. It was a fitting place to star over...to start anew. Darla had slept, and he had gone to see the two hopefuls also resting. Fynn could never sleep like others did, he never could figure out just why. Perhaps it was the constant training...perhaps it was his childhood harsh and brutal. In any case he went without sleep for days at a time meditating for short periods instead of resting.

He had awoken from just such a meditation to see Darla open her eyes as the ship neared a landing. "Were here, you wanted a knew beginning, I can see no better place then here start from." Fynn said as he came to her side.

"Attention all passengers...we will disembarking at pad 1121 in approximately 5 minutes. Welcome to Haruun Kal." The captains voice bellowed from the loudspeakers. The Spear came in for a landing and Fynn found the two hopefuls. "Nivana, Fithnen we have arrived..."

As the ramp lowered several passangers rushed to be first off. They were followed by Fynn, Darla, Niva, and Fithnen respectively. "First we make contact with the jedi base, and we go from there." Fynn said with a smile as he described what was to be done.

"Some things... are worse then death, being forgotten for example..."

With a smile that certainly didn't lack in size, Armiena replied. "Missing in action and presumed dead." Even though the situation at the extravagent trap on Coruscant had been horribly grave and desperate, being back among old friends made it easy for Armiena to joke about even that.

For a moment the Jedi Knight was sorely tempted to throw caution to the winds and throw away her dignity to trample him in a hug, but she realized that not only were they in the company of other Jedi, but Hopefuls at that. They were supposed to provide an example to the new Jedi, Armiena reflected ruefully.

Darex laughed. "I should expect nothing less radical from you," he said. "You always did have a flair for the extreme."

He sobered a bit, though the smile did not leave his face. "Well, it seems like a long time the last time I saw you. If I recall, you were saving my skin on Mimban..." He left it hanging jokingly, then continued. "Anyway, much has changed with me since then."

Hearing Ulos' thoughts, the tall blonde man beckoned his apprentice over. "The most notable is a new Padawan. Ulos, I'd like you to meet my very good friend Jedi Knight Armiena Draygo. Armiena, this is Ulos Rolan."

Ulos stood up at his masters wishes as he was introduced to the knight that stood before him. From what he gathered, she had already saved his master before. The thought that Darex would need saving from anyone or anything was beyond him, but if this knight saved him, then she too must be a powerful jedi. Of course, the respect that Ulos had for her didn't come from any expecations of her power. She was a jedi, and that in itself made her worthy of his respect.

Taking a slight bow and standing straightening back up, a smile found it's way onto the expression of the man. He spoke in a calm, relaxed tone that had most likely been carried over to his mind from the meditating he had just finished.

"Pleased to meet you ma'am."

Fithnen stood on the ramp. Haruun Kal. This was it. A slow smile crept onto Fithnen's normally reserved features. He was going to get trained as a Jedi. The pale man strode down the ramp, following Fynne. He had a strange look on his face, as his natural curiosity battled his stoic nature. His curiosity won out, and Fithnen found himself turning this way and that as they walked, drinking in the new atmosphere.

Even if Fithnen was rejected, he would not leave empty-handed. The Force had led him out of the shockboxing rink. The Force had, in its own way, he supposed, led him to the Order. And the Order had led him here.

Nivana stepped cautiously from the ship. The air was thick with heat and humidity but Niv didn't mind. Not in the least. She inhaled deeply and smiled the faintest of smiles, relieved to be on solid ground again. She fell quietly into step behind Fynn, Darla and Fithnen, content to lag behind the others just a bit. She was eager to learn more of the mystical energy that she had delicately touched upon. She was eager to embrace more of the Force but Nivana kept her restlessness firmly in check. She strolled in thoughtful quietude, her eyes partaking of Haruun Kal's lush landscape.

Bling suddenly felt uneasy, as if the strain from his prior activity was taking its toll on his body. His head throbbed violently while nausea set in. Reaching out for a wall, he supported himself as he addressed his master.

"I cannot continue... Feel... horrible... Like I'm dying."

Bling slowly made his way out of the room, calling for a droid to assist him off to his private quarters. Once there, the young man passed out on his bed.

Kira watched him head out of the room and moved to follow him, seeing a droid assisting her padawan off. She started after him, very concerned about her new charge. She hadn't gone far when one of the base administrators called for her over an urgent matter.

Kira was torn, wanting to go after her padawan and having to deal with the administrator. Being as the droid was assisting Bling, the Administrator's concerns could be dealt with, then she could go and check on her padawan.

She followed the messenger and was immediately pounced on regarding some security measure that urgently required her attention.
