*Just as the hum of Geki's lightsaber dies, The room is lit up with a hologram. Trith.*

"Governer, Alora," She said with a cordial bow of her head. "The fleet is complete. Our ships are very satisfactory, dispite the long wait."

Her eyes met Geki's.

"Any further instruction, Governer? We are recieving reports of a prospective employee on Tattoine, and the Mandalorian, Dacob Degal, is set to arrive there shortly."

Alora had hesitated briefly as he shut his saber down and spoke. She was still fired up, her blade stopping partially through another strike as his words penetrated her rage filled senses, the blade only a short distance from her master's torso. She was about to shut down her saber when the message from Trith came through. Disigniting her saber and bowing her head to her master, she turned to listen to Trith's message.

*Geki listens to Trith.*

'Excellent. We make war upon the Empire at once. We will meet at the pre-arranged coordinates and I and Alora will transfer over to Havoc's Folly.'

*Geki clips his lightsabre to his belt and looks at Alora as Trith's hologram winks out.*

'Let's go.'

  • 8 months later...

A small omonious ship quietly descended downward to the cooridinates that had been preprogrammed in the navigational computer. Many hyperspace jumps had been used to avoid detection as the armored man stole his way down planet. Broadcasting the codes he needed to keep all defenses from locking on him and blowing him from the sky skillful continued downward after waiting a full minute skimming above the water waiting to see if the codes works. Plunging his way underwater he brought the ship in for a landing onto the long-abandoned planet, heading straight for a specially prepared underwater base the old SEED base was still running at peak capacity.

Landing his ship in a designated spot he quickly double checked his armor systems by powering them up to capacity. Then stepping out he was immeditly greeted by 20 blasters aimed at him. He scoffed at the low turn out. He raiesed his hands one which currently contained an E-11 blaster and spoke.

"Put down your weapons you are facing your new Leader!"

Oddly none of them made a move to do so. Speaking a command in his helemnt. His ship activted and link with a SEED computer. Following this a program that Slicer had upload updated the SEED computers about the fact that Nadus Morex was indeed SEED new and currently ruling leader. A small chime was heard through out the chamber as the computer broadcast this message onward through out the Station. However as always there were disbelivers.

15 men lowered their blaster after getting receieveing the instructions. The other five pulled the trigger. Slicer had anticipated this. Ducking uner the immediate blaster fire he snapped off a grand total of four shots. Each shot landed directly between the eyes of one disbleiver. Once this small show was completed only one man remained with his wepon trained on Slicer. Taking offense Slicer pointed his left wrist toward the man and shot out his grappling cable hitting the man in the neck with it. Retracting it he simotiously strangled the man until he collapsed at his feet. Reaching down Slicer pulled out the Fire blade and after a few short seconds removed the man's Spine and tossed it to the other 15 men.

With that Slicer walked over to a computer terminial and made a second compy of all the files it contained. His Ship was doing the first.

Then walking away he went to a few of the labs and got a few samples of what he had realy come for. The reboarding the ship he left the now updated SEED. He left with everything he might need in the future.

*The remnants of the Empire, minus the two VSD-II's which have been dispatched to another location to prevent the possibility of detection, re-enter realspace above Altyr 5, once the location of SEED's greatest atrocity and thereafter their hidden base of operations.

The underwater citadel is still operating at almost peak level, some systems having been partially eroded by the patient and eternal onslaught of the ocean, but still recoverable.*

'My Lord, our vessels are not equipped for submarine activity.'

'Yes, I am aware of this fact. Monitor all of our communications and intercept anything destined for beyond the immediate system.'

'Yes, sire.'

*Sending a series of long-dormant codes to the SEED submersibles below, the still-functioning craft disembark from their berths and head for the surface.

Above the planet, the Imperial transports head as close to the atmosphere as possible before dispatching shuttles, which rendezvous with the submersibles. The Empire begins the laborious process of transferring its personnel to the underwater facility.

Around a day later all personnel have been transferred with communications limited to the immediate vicinity of the planet, wholly eliminating the possibility of any outside knowledge of the facility. The facility itself is hundreds of miles below the surface, communications completely impossible apart from if they are made from the high-security communications room.

The Empire had been beaten badly; she could no longer be considered a military power for the time being. Until she was convalesced, Geki was forced to go dark.

The transports which had brought personnel to the facility enter hyperspace, their work done. The facility's submersibles are more than capable of hyperspace travel.

Engineering personnel begin work on restoring damaged systems and bringing old SEED systems and protocols up to current Imperial standards...*

(OOC: Any Imperial characters who were present at Carida have the choice of having accompanied Geki here. However, if you choose not to have accompanied him then you have no knowledge of this facility.

If you choose to have accompanied him, note that interplanetary communications are not possible unless cleared by Geki.)

*Geki, thoroughly distracted by first the sudden defeat at Csilla and then the abortive attempt to disable Imperial vessels, hadn't noticed Haphaestus' return in the growing clamour.*

'Lord Haphaestus. No doubt you are wondering why we have relocated to a remote facility hidden deep beneath the waves of a stricken planet.'

*Geki has one more thing to do before their transfer is complete; he must merge the old Geki with the new. The loss to the Jedi woman above Csilla, another disaster in a string of disasters, had shown him that even the Force and his mastery of illusions was not enough to guarantee his victory. He must regain what he had forsaken, and together with the power of the dark side, it would make him unstoppable.

The facility was formerly used by the loyalist paramilitary organisation SEED to further their mission against the seditious Rebels and the fanatical Jedi. The most striking aspect of SEED was their use of nanites, microscopic machines with the capability to infiltrate the body on a cellular level. Their uses were many; viral propagation, inoculation, clandestine operations, tracking, mind control- the possibilities were limited only by the morality and the will of the user.

Geki had used them to devastating effect on more than one occasion.

He will again use them to bring the fight to the Rebel traitors.*

'Walk with me, Lord Haphaestus.'

*Geki sweeps from his throne and into a long, yawning submarine corridor, huge sharks gliding sleekly through the vast blue beyond the thick transparisteel of the corridor.*

'We were defeated badly at Csilla, Lord Haphaestus. Our fleet is all but lost, our enemies powerful.

'For the moment, it serves our purpose for our enemies to think us gone, vanquished, fled from the galaxy and the galactic civil war. We are weak, in no position to challenge them, and so we must recover our strength as we always have; clasped to the breast of darkness. For the moment subterfuge, deception and misdirection will be our allies, for as long as it takes for the Empire to be in a position to strike back at the Rebels and reclaim her rightful place as the rulers of the galaxy.'

*Geki arrives at his destination; a nanite substation, used on several occasions to infest the bodies of underlings with the tiny machines.

Geki steps into the smooth, clear tube, his arms sliding into the two sockets on either side of him at waist height. He grimaces momentarily as probes slip into both wrists and his system is prepared for a massive number of nanites to enter his system and bond with his central nervous system and brain.*

'Just as the Empire must recover and make herself more powerful, Lord Haphaestus, so too must her Emperor.'

*Geki grits his teeth.

Billions upon billions of nanites are flooded into Geki's circulatory system, the tiny machines dormant, smooth metallic balls of infinitesimally small size.

As one the nanites awake, tiny steel limbs uncurling from their "bodies" as they gain purchase in Geki's body on a cellular level.

The fusion is painful on a level beyond the comprehension of any sentient being.

Geki roars in agony as billions of machines anchor themselves to his cells one by one, his system being fundamentally changed from the inside out as the nanites take hold.

Eventually, it is done.*

Haphaestus waited until Geki's transfusion was complete. "You are wise, Emperor, but you do not see all," he said. "For you have made a new set of enemies unknowingly.

"The former Emperor, Lord Barrabas, the one that is Cineon Yahn, was at the Sith meeting on Korriban that I attended. He, upon hearing of your evacuation of Carida, took it upon himself to remove you from your position as Emperor and take it up himself, doubting your ability to defeat the Rebellion," the Sith Master continued.

"The new Dark Lord, Quietus, is questioning his alliance with you. I do not think he will turn on you, but there are those in the Sith that already have," he continued, his voice eternally expressive. "Our allies are few, our enemies many. Without the Sith to lend aid, we are effectively on our own.

"But, as I knew the strength of your predecessor, Phillep, whom I taught the Dark Side, I know too your strength. Overcome these many challenges, we will, if cautious we are. But warned you have been. I will maintain contact with the Sith physically so as best to serve you on that front," Haphaestus said.

"On all fronts, Emperor, I am at your service. First, I am the Imperial Inquisitor."

OOC: Haphaestus, you do know know me by the name of Cineon Yahn and so don't act like you do. Darth Barabbas is all that you know.

IC: A transmission from Cardia came for Geki, from Darth Barabbas, requesting access for hologram communication from Geki.

*Since Geki's location is unknown to any who failed to accompany him to Altyr 5, Yahn's comm never reaches him.

Geki staggers from the nanite substation, his body swimming with new sensations and new possibilites. He had forgotten the almost symbiotic relationship he had with the nanites, and he recognises that such a union, combined with the Force, will make him powerful indeed.*

'Lord Haphaestus, I have always stood on my own. Whether or not the Sith assist us is irrelevant; they will do as they will, caring only for personal power. Our mandate is so much more than that; we have a galaxy to restore order to, a Rebellion to crush.

As for Barrabas; his insolence is breathtaking. Following the genocide of Coruscant he proclaimed himself Emperor, whilst I was convalescing and in no position to fight the transition. Now, again, he attempts to usurp my throne whilst we are in a position of weakness. Rest assured, he will pay in blood.'

*Within the submarine base new construction begins, the facility being increased to three times its previous size so as to accommodate the Empire; new barracks, training facilities, intelligence stations, generators, and submarine defence measures are slowly built by the Imperial engineers who had accompanied Geki and Haphaestus.*

'As for maintaining contact with the Sith... you may do so, but with one proviso. Every time someone leaves this facility, they must consent to a memory wipe. The procedure will be no more invasive than necessary, and will simply remove knowledge of this facility from their mind. Tell me, is your mind electronic or organic?'

OOC: The transmission can be received, but a response from the Empire would invariably give away this location.

IC:

Haphaestus studied the Emperor for a moment. "My mind is neither and both. Seperate wipes of both would be sufficient to remove my knowledge of this base. However, I am a complex equilibrium. My minds are at a difficult balance, one that took me much time to achieve.

"Such being the case, I will not consent to a memory alteration in either. If the slightest thing went wrong, great difficulty would befall me. The transition could be costly to my surroundings, as it was the first time," he continued.

Therefore, he would not submit. But neither would he remain bound to Altyr 5. His memory was quite secure and very much inaccessible. But whether the Emperor chose to accept this would dictate the next step in the conversation.

*Expansion of the submarine facility continues. All across the base the sounds of heavy construction can be heard, the underwater environment lending them a hollow ring.*

'I see. It's just as well, then, that I apprised nobody but the navigation crew of our eventual location.'

*As is on cue, a number of navigation officers drift past the transparisteel viewscreen looking out onto the vast ocean. Their faces are rapidly turning blue due to a combination of the bends and hypoxia, but this proves not to be too much of a problem as several sharks descend upon them and tear them limb from limb.*

'Thankfully, that particular problem has been taken care of.'

*Geki turns back to Haphaestus.*

'A compromise will have to be reached, then. Come, I will escort you off-planet personally. I have business elsewhere, in any event.'

Haphaestus nodded. He didn't have anywhere particular he needed to be at this moment, but he understood the amount of secrecy that Geki wanted surrounding this base, and he would therefore need to spend little time here if he was to continue to disallow memory wipes.

He walked with Geki down to the hangar bay, where they parted ways. The Sith Master hopped aboard his tiny ship, its cockpit barely large enough to hold him, and was soon gone, his navigation computer not really knowing where it was but a simple jump all that was required to find a major hyperspace lane.

Before he jumped, he sent a comm back to Geki. "If there's anything you need accomplished, Emperor, I'll be available." Then he disappeared.

OOC: Not exactly what I had in mind- the idea was that Haphaestus would not have access to a navicomp before he left. Since Geki wouldn't just let him take his own craft off-planet without some sort of precautions:

IC: *Geki sighs at Haphaestus' speedy and impulsive exit. He is thankful that he had the presence of mind to order the Sith Master's navicomp to encounter technical "difficulties" for a short time after he left the planet, failing to give him the location of Altyr 5 and also making it impossible to backtrack and find the location from later jumps.

Expansion of the base continues, engineers and artisans working around the clock to house the vast forces of the Empire. In nanite substations, the process of infusing each troop with a less potent version of Geki's own nanotech is begun.

Geki has business off-planet, business which must be taken care of on his own. Pausing only to leave his genetic information behind in case of difficulties, Geki takes to the Kami and blasts free of the atmosphere, heading into hyperspace a few seconds later.*

  • 2 weeks later...

Admiral Luke MacLeod left his office, his aides and bodyguards falling behind him. He moved onto the Parade square and stood there. One of his bodyguards moved to the comm system and opened a comm to the entire base. "All Stormtroopers and Imperial pilots report immediately to the parade square for inspection by Admiral MacLeod." The bodyguard moved back beside Luke. "Stand at ease." His bodyguards and aides snapped into formation beside him.

Soon the sound of running feet was heard through out the base as the stormtroopers and pilots hurried toward the Parade square. First unit to arrive on the parade square was Onyx Squadron, Luke's former squadron. Their armor and helents were perfectly polished as they fell into rank, standing at ease until further orders. Seconds later other pilot squadrons began to fall into rank behind Onyx squadron, each squadron forming into their own squadron with their squadron leader in the front on the right.

Once the pilots had formed up, the stormtrooper began to file into the parade square. Their march, ranks and speed were as close to perfect as possible, it seemed as if they were trying to show up the pilots. Luke coughed quietly, trying to hide his amused smile at the good natured rivalry between the stormtrooper core and the pilots. He stepped forward his stance perfect for a military commander. "Atten-shion!"

The ranks moved as one, lifting their left foot into the air and slammed it down with a perfect crash against the pavement. "Front ranks, forward three! Rear rank, back three!" The forward and back ranks began to cary out their orders, splitting the ranks so that an inspection could be carried out. Luke turned to one of his aides and nodded, the aide stepped forward so that he was folloing one pace behind the Admiral. Luke didn't think he would be required to write any of the troppers or pilots up, but having an aide attend him was part of the protocol.

The full inspection of the assembled forces took him over an hour. As he had expected, he was not required to write any of them up for anythng. Finally he allowed himself to smile as he dismissed the troops. With the inspection taken care of, Luke moved back to his office where he began to look over the recruitment sheets and the training schedule. The recruiting would take a lot of work and he would have to order the training schedule to be doubled.

The world was still blurry to me. I was seeing everything in double-vision. I could barely walk; It was only aided by the constant shoving of the other recruits behind me. I couldn't feel my arms. All I know, is they were out in front of me, reaching for something to hold on to as the air hit my face. I shut my eyes hard, and then reopened them. My vision had cleared slightly, yet faces were still a mystery to me. I could hear someone yell from behind.

"Can we keep the line moving? Whats the hold up down there!"

I wanted to turn around and bash his head in, but I knew there were armed guards around. Whatever they shot me with at the cantina, was strong. Really strong. I was still in a haze. Odd though; All they had to do was ask. Over the loud speaker, I could hear a stern voice telling all new recruits to await the Admiral's induction speech. Who knew how long that could take. So, I stood there, wobbling...awaiting the next step.

The young Firrerron Officer strode along the line of recruits, her uniform immaculate. As always, she wore her secondskin, making her look like a 'normal' human. It took quite a lot to ruffle her steely nerves. Right now she was in full Parade voice, yelling at the recruits, trying to whip them into some semblance of a unit.

"EYES TO THE FRONT! STAND UP STRAIGHT! NO SLOUCHING! THIS ISN'T A PICNIC, YOU ARE IMPERIAL SOLDIERS - ACT LIKE IT!"

She glared at them, her blue eyes icy cold. So far she didn't like the look of these recruits. They had yet to show what they were made of. With her hearing very sharp, she heard the comments some of the recruits a few ranks back were making. Hecklers. They would soon learn. They always did... one way or another and usually the hard way.

"YOU. THIRD RANK BACK. STEP OUT HERE AND SAY THAT"

Her voice dared him to cross her. She was one of the elite, one that wouldn't stand for insubordinate snitches in her Platoons. The recruit didn't move, pretending that it wasn't him. She'd dealt with fools like him before and she wasn't about to let him get away with a thing.

It was true that Luke had been in a meeting as the ensign had reported. The meeting was a meeting that he did not not want to be having at the moment or ever. He had been forced to bust a captain down to the rank of ensign because he had attacked a member of the Onyx Squadron on two seperate occasions. With that unpleasant duty taken care of, Luke dismissed his aides and walked towards the NCM's Mess.

Before he even reached the doorway of the mess hall, Luke could hear Lt Lora yelling at the new recruits. For some odd reason that annoyed him further as he opened the door and strode inside. His step was quick and purposeful as he stepped into the Mess hall. As of yet, no one had seen him but that was about to change.

"Silence!" The admiral's voice rang out in the mess hall drowning out every other voice including Lora's. "Recruit, get that sorry piece of refuse that you call yourself front and center, NOW!" There was no arguing with the tone of voice nor the force that it was carried at. Luke stepped within two feet of that recruit and looked him straight in the face, Luke's glare never swaying then he bellowed not just at the recruit in front of him but at the platoon.

"Listen up and listen well. You are now Imperial recruits, that means that as long as you are on this base, you will obey my orders and the orders of my Officers. If you do not, I will bust you down so fast that you wont even know what hit you and I promise you this. Make me angry and you will wish your mothers had killed you at birth. Now fall back in."

Luke waited till the recruit had fallen back in. "Now that the unpleasantness has been taken care of. Welcome to the Imperial Army and Navy. In a short time, you will be seperated into two groups, those of you that are to be Imperial pilots, gunners and comms personnal will be in the Navy. Those that will be stormtroopers will be sent for Army training. The next two days, you will be doing administrative work, this entails a lot of paperwork. All of this paperwork must be completed before your training may begin. It is currently sixteen hundred hours, Supper will be served at eighteen hundred. Until then you are confined to quarters, I would advise you all to take this time to get to know your fellow recruits. Dismissed!"

"You heard the Admiral. Move!" Lora added as the recruits just stood there. At her prompting they moved, some of them showing the stunned expressions that were common when they discovered that their lives now belonged to the Empire... the 'What have I done? and What have I gotten myself into?' expressions.

Lora marched smartly to a point two feet from the Admiral before she threw him a crisp salute. Her spine was as straight as a rod, the woman ready to take any new orders the Admiral had for her.

Kadaj stood straight, listening to the two commanding officers speak to him as though he was a dog. He didn't mind however. It was nothing new. To be honest, Kadaj only joined because he was bored and he was a damn good sniper. His silver hair fell into his eyes, only leaving a slit open to see the Admiral. He wasn't very hungry, but he decided to grab a bite to eat before he went into his quarters.

After the speech was done, he moved into the cafeteria, and grabbed a tray. Immediatly, a slob of what looked like vomit was slapped onto his tray carelessly. He sat way in the back, isolated from most of the other recruits who seemed to bond rather quickly. He wasn't very social, and he wouldn't bother even trying. Only moments later, he finished his disgusting food and stood up, where he walked from the cafeteria and into the base. He was given his room number almost immediatly after he was finished with his food.

He followed the halls, and his room was only a couple of minutes down. He opened the door, and threw himself onto the cot. He stared at the cieling for what seemed to be hours, but really, it was less. He awaited the next orders from one of the commanding officers.

Captain... "Yes Sir. I'll get the stormtroopers into shape Sir. You can count on me." Lora nodded her head when MacLeod spoke of the ones he wanted to be trained as snipers. She would set them to work immediately.

It surprised her that he saluted her first, only seconds before she saluted him, a smile playing at the corners of her lips and in her eyes, though it didn't materialise. She followed him to the Mess Hall listening to the orders he now gave the assembled recruits.

Once they had separated into their different groups, Lora stood before those that would become Stormtroopers. Her eyes scanned to the Sergeants that were standing by waiting for orders.

"Sergeant. March these recruits through to the Quartermaster's store and get them in their uniforms. Then I want everyone formed up on the Parade ground."

The Sergeant saluted her then turned to the recruits, marching them out and to the Quartermaster's store.

Kadaj received an immediate wake up call as a knock could be heard on his door. Opening it, an officer yelled into his face, telling him to get dressed and meet at the parade ground. He didn't bother giving any facial expression. Just a simple nod.

He dressed into his uniform quicklyy, moved out, and found himself on the parade ground only moments later. He then awaited for the next screaming officer to come around.

Lora looked down at the list of names that were to be given sniper training, then looked up at the assembled troops.

"Sergeant. Drill the recruits then take them to the range. I want them acting like stormtroopers, not just looking like them."

Giving another look at the list, she called out their names.

"Carter, Aston, Bralor, Garrik, Kadaj, Follett, Dex, Tarkon and Gaddon. You will come with me. Form up!"

The young Captain waited until they had formed a rank of their own before marching them towards the simulators.

"Left, left, left, right, left...."

Once at the simulators, she stood in front of the file again.

"Now. You have been chosen to become snipers. These simulators will be your daily activity for the next week. Until you pass, you will eat, drink and sleep simulators. Move forward and activate them when you are ready. Report back to me once you have completed your first simulation and I will assess it. You will then be given another task."

(OOC: Alright, I'll do it in 2 posts. I'm low on time tonight.)

The recruits gathered around their commanding officer as she spoke aloud their orders for the day, or rather, for the week. He wasn't too worried about it. Three hots and a cot. Nothin' wrong with that. He was by far the best sniper here; He knew that for sure. He could tell the other recruits were here for the wrong reasons.

They each grabbed a sniper rifle. It was standard, but not too shabby. He held it tightly, looking in the scope as he imagined his target in front of him. The commanding officer then ordered them to commense the simulation. It was a machine which each recruit stood in front of. They put on some sort of simulation helmet on their head. When all was ready, they were activated.

Immediatly, Kadaj was thrown into a blazing battlefield. It was a rocky terrain, and he was somewhere up high. He loaded his sniper rifle, and set it up, looking inside the glass. Moments later, a voice came on inside the simulation helmet.

Your orders are simple. Take out the two rebel leaders within the vicinity below you. You should be able to get a clear shot within the room. Good luck.

Kadaj smiled. He could already see one inside the building, and right there, he had a clear shot. However he wanted to get both. Maybe even with one shot. He scanned the area. The bullet's only entry point was through the window. He would have to make both shots precise in order to complete his mission.

It wasn't long before the other officer walked into the room, handing his fellow comrade a holopad. Kadaj readjusted the scope and looked inside. He laid there for minutes, keeping his crosshairs on the officer to the left. His breathing became heavier as he could feel the pressure push down on him. His finger started to shake, and he could feel the sweat drip down the side of his face. The shot was clear. Both of them were directly aside eachother. He started to panic. His eyes went wide, and his breathing became frantic. He moved his finger to the trigger and prepared to pull..
