"Patch me through to Captain Phillep....at once" Said an angry Lycus...his communication was being routed to several Thorpe Corporation transports, allowing for a live off-world broadcast.

"Sir Captain Phillep is not available. I will have to clear you." the young comm officer responded.

"Then give me the man in charge...This is Lycus Thorpe, of Thorpe Corporation...your lead officer can spare a few moments..." Lycus said with a slight amount of annoyance.

Vice-Admiral Parson replies, acting as the voice of the invisible hand of the Empire, "Mr. Thorpe, what the hell seems to be the bloody problem?"

"Cut the crap Parson...that smooth surface may fool Phillep, but it doesn't phase me." Lycus said shaking his head. "I could ask where the he has been, since you lost that battle with republic." Lycus said with a bit of annoyance.

"I'm sending you and your forces support...14 transports full of munitions and food stuffs. If you need other things your going to have to be more direct in your desires." Lycus said and paused for a moment to continue. "I've heard youv'e had supply problems, and have been dogding the republic every few days. Fact is I need you. I want the jedi gone from Coruscant, and I want your help. Unless you have a galaxy shaking plan that my sources haven't heard yet." Lycus said dripping with with sarcasim. "Face facts...you can't take Coruscant, at least not at the moment. They are laughing at you...sitting in thier smug chairs, laughing at you. Overwelming force doesn't work anymore..." Lycus said trying to get his old advesary to face the truth.

Lycus smiled changing his tone. "I have a plan to break the jedi into fragments and get the republic reeling. You and I both know that they are the obstacle that keeps you and your supreme commander from your prize." Lycus said as if he had a roadmap to victory. "Tell my old friend, that when he is tired of losing with sith lords, and force users, of being laughed at, to contact me." Lycus said with folded arms. With that the comm signal cut out abruptly.

With that 14 transports bearing the mark of Thorpe Corporation set down on Cardia's surface, each transport carefully marked with the type of provisions it provided.

"Understood."

There was no definite way of foretelling what went on the scheming minds that ran the once grand Empire of Terror, whether Sith Lords were slowly coming from the woodwork, pilots were being trained and re-educated in the ways of war, and perhaps, Mr. Thorpe was correct, the time of brute force was over. It was a good thing, subtlety was moving along the ranks and schemes.

The Colonel joined the man in the hangar bay. Two TIE Defenders were prepped and ready to go.

"We can't go too far without hyperdrives. We'll just take the ships outside the atmosphere of Cardia. It's merely a formality to see if you are able to pilot the vessels."

Macleod entered his ship. He put on his helmet and waited for the younger Macleod to get situated. The Colonel opened up his comm.

"Alright, you take your ship up first. I'll follow. I'm sure you know how to pilot a Defender, but if you forget something, let me know."

Luke nodded then saluted. He slid down into his cockpit and shut the hatch. Firing up the engines, he reached for his helment and put it on. Then he turned on the comm and set it to the squadron channel. Soon message came across his comm from the Colonel.

"Alright, you take your ship up first. I'll follow. I'm sure you know how to pilot a Defender, but if you forget something, let me know."

He smiled then replied. "Affirmative Colonel." He guided the Defender out of the hanger and into the air. He checked his scanners to be sure that everything was in working order again. "Well Colonel, just how far into space are we going?"

He waited for the reply, while he piloted the ship into the atmosphere. They ran into a bit of turbulence, as they passed through upper atmosphere. He losened his hands on the control yoke and leveled out his thrusters just slightly to lessen the turbulence. Soon though they passed through the atmosphere and into space .

--Comlink From Csilla(Sender:Nokrt)--

"This is Admiral Nokrt of the CEDF. I have special interest in meeting with Phillep once i arrive on Cardia. I have matters to discuss with him."

Nokrt paused a moment waiting for a response from the Imperial Base...but none came.

"That will be all."

Nokrt saw two TIE Defenders outside of the planet as he began his decent planetward. Deciding that they are either here to escort him or destroy him it was in his best interest to get to the planet ASAP.

Coming down he recieved clearance to land at the Base which Nokrt did without hesitation. Once he had landed Nokrt exited his vehicle and walked into the Imperial Base. He came to the reception desk and abruptly stopped as he was questioned by the Receptionist.

"What is your business here...thing?" The receptionist asked.

It seemed the Perjudices of the Empire still remained but that would not last.

"I am here to speak with Phillep, did you not get my transmission earlier, I am Admiral Nokrt of the CEDF" said Nokrt in a very polite manner.

"Yes we did we just disregarded it due to the fact we get many transmissions for him besides the fact you said you were en route, we simply believed that if you were telling the truth you would arrive here then we would contact Phillep for you." the receptionist replied.

"Well i'm here so if you could tell him that i have arrived it would be most appreciated." Nokrt asked as kindly as possible.

"Yes of course" said the receptionist as she hit a few buttons and spoke into the comm."Captain Phillep there is a man here to see you at the front desk, please come at your next opportunity." she shut off the switch and turned to Nokrt."Have a seat and he should be down momentarily"

Nokrt nodded and sat down once again pulling out Art of Eriadu to read as he waited for Phillep to arrive. He would finally have a master and learn the ways of the force. And he would become part of the Empire at the same time. This was his destiny.

Macleod hit his ships thrusters at full blast, rocketing away from the planet and toward a nearby asteroid belt. He commed back to the young Macleod.

"Get on my tail. This is your first test in a real ship. You have to stay on me through the field, and get a lock with your lasers. But don't fire, of course! And kid, be careful. This isn't the simulation. But this asteroid field isn't very dense, so unless you do something stupid, you'll be alright."

Macleod made sure he picked an area that wasn't too dangerous. He had the advantage of experience and the Force, the other Macleod didn't. But the only way to learn was to dive right in.

"Yes Sir." Luke kicked in his thrusters and flew after the Colonel. He turned on his weapons system. He looked down at his scanner and checked the asteroid belt out. He found that there were several larger asteriod and many smaller ones.

Luke looked at the Colonel's ship and the exhaust port on the back of the ship and began to formulate a plan. He flicked on the control for the concussion missile launcher. Next he set it to target the exaust port of the Colonel's ship, but the Colonel was weaving too much for the ship to get a lock-on with the missile launcher.

Luke shook his head as he thought for a moment. "Well my missile launcher cant get a lock-on, so it looks like I will be forced to do this the old fashion way." He left his launcher on but switched to manual targeting for his laser cannons but left the linked fire control untouched.

He dove in after the Colonel, heading straight for the main part of the asteroid belt. He watched the Colonel's manuvers and realized that there was a pattern to them. He smiled then broke leftand fired his lasers at an asteroid in his path, this only served to alert the Colonel.

The Colonel broke in the opposite direction that Luke had figured that he would break. Luke cursed momentarily, then dove in on him closing the distance quickly. Luke pulled along side the Colonel and saluted, then pulled ahead of him. Once he was about half a klick ahead of the Colonel, he cut his thrusters and let the Colonel pass by him Then he rolled to the left and kicked his thrusters back in and caught the Colonel in his targeting reticle. He opened up his comm to the Colonel.

"I have you targeted, Colonel."

Macleod received an encoded message.

"Take your ship back down to the surface."

Macleod turned his fighter away from the asteroid belt and headed back for Cardia. On the way, he smirked to himself, and sent another comm,

"And don't get a big head kid, I could have avoided that if we'd kept going."

The Macleods landed, and the Colonel stepped out of his ship speaking with the younger Macleod.

"We're heading out on our first real mission. I'll be in the air with you as our squadrons engage enemy fighters on Coruscant. The fight has already started there. Follow my orders, and trust your instincts. We'll watch each other's backs. We'll be using defenders."

Macleod guided Macleod to a transport ship, and soon the two were in hyperspace.

  • 2 weeks later...

((OOC: Sorry about not posting in so long. I have been busy and i was waiting for Phillep to answer however he was sidetracked by attacking Coruscant))

Nokrt sat and waited for a few moments the blood rushing in his veins in his inpaitence. He was sick of waiting for people. They knew of his potential why did they do nothing. It was very frustrating that he was in the heart of the Empire and still he had nothing to live for. Continuing to gaze at his book Nokrt tried to put his frustrations away in hopes that the future will be much better for him.

No sooner had he begun once again to get intently interested in his book the Receptionist called him to the desk. Nokrt promptly stood annoyed that he had just got to be relaxed and something had to stop his comfort. Closing his book after marking his page about Pottery of Eriadu and how it reflects their warrior spirit, Nokrt put the book aside and approached the Reception desk.

"It appears the message I recieved from Admiral Phillep was a pre-recorded message. He is actually in Coruscant laying seige to the planet as we speak." said the Receptionist with a hint of pride in her leader.

Nokrt felt completely unworthy at this. Here he was sitting comfortably on Cardia when there was a battle with his future Master out there. Nokrt had to help somehow. But how. He is not a part of the Empire, he sold his Chiss Clawcraft, and he doesn't even have an Imperial Uniform. There had to be something that could be done. He could return to Csilla and gather a squadron of Clawcraft to help. Perhaps he should send a comlink transmission to Phillep. But, Nokrt only knew he was in Coruscant space. Looking at the Receptionist he decided to ask her.

"Miss, which Star Destroyer is Phillep aboard...I would like to send him a transmission asking for permission to help him with the battle." said Nokrt in tone which suggested that he could be the only source to winning this battle.

It appeared that the Receptionist thought of this as well. "You and what army Chiss? Nevertheless he is aboard the Eternal Torment or the Hellgate Im not sure which i believe he has his orders et up for both for security reasons."

Nokrt thanked the receptionist and walked outide pulling out his comlink. He first had to contact Phillep before going to Csilla should he need to.

The reply was curt and concise, "Land. We are at War, join the Ranks. Your training shall commence once the Imperial Flight Commander returns."

Jakon was quickly escorted through the facility, both to the Fighter Simulators, about the Hangar Bay, and to the Mess Hall and Dormitories. The self-contained Fortress within the Jungle was alive with the sound of forced-marches, live ammunitions training, technical/repair workshops, and the works.

"The Naval Flight Corps is an elite crop of skilled Pilots ranging from Bombing Experts, Reconnaisance Navigators, Dog Fighters, and most importantly the Flight Brass. The Admiral's Military Right-hand. It takes time and training to advance to such a level, but many new recruits often find themselves reaching those goals shortly."

OOC: Given that most Imperial PCs are off-world, fighting over Coruscant, I'll let you handle the next few days. When this is over, the Macleod characters will be ready to 'show you the ropes.'

Welcome aboard and I hope you have fun RPing here on Jnet.

Nokrt recieved his prompt reply for Phillep hearing his future masters voice for the first time. Not to waste any time Nokrt called Csilla telling his loyal squadron to meet him in Csilla. He would be there shortly to brief them on their mission.

Reflecting on this Nokrt saw the problems in this. For acting in an offensive military action Nokrt will definitely be expelled from the CEDF losing his rank of Admiral. No matter. The EMpire stood more firmly in his beliefs these days anyhow. He be a prouder Lieutenant here than he could be as an Admiral in the CEDF.

Taking off from Cardia Nokrt put in the coordinates of Csilla into the Navicomputer and jumped to hyperspace.

OOC: Even better, someone who knows what they're doing.

IC:

A record book and a fresh uniform was laid out on the cot by a servant girl, before she dissappeared in a flash. Part of the book included a manual about the more mundane Imperial things, such as order of hiearchy, how to address officers, meal-times, etc...

The eye of Horus came into orbit above the planet. Before Horus sent a comm in he thought about this. Yes, this was the right path. His family were part of the Republic. It was his dream as a kid.

---COMM---

This is Horus asking for permission to land. I am here on account of joining the Empire as a Trooper.

---END COMM---

Horus waited for permission to land. A jolt of excitement ran through him. He was about to join the ranks of the greatest troopers in the Galaxy. He would join thier ranks and go down in history.

The ship was scanned, flagged, and stored away in the computer bank's memories. The pilot was escorted down and shown his way about the facility, he was issued a designation, and all the other mundane tasks were performed.

"You are about to join the Ranks of the Grand Army of the Imperium. I welcome you, amongst us," echoed the hearty voice of the Imperial's equivalent of a Recruitment Officer. Soon, the young man was led to a dormitory where a fresh uniform was laid out for him, as was a preliminary weapon, and a manual about the Empire's more general and mundane things...

OOC: We'll get things going shortly, for now, you can interact with each-other, even if it is a big place, you can meet at a mess hall or something. We'll get the show on the road soon, maybe a few days... a week?

Horus looked down at the uniform. He smiled and began to peel of his old clothes. Once his uniform was on he picked up his new blaster. It wasn't as good as his old one, but it was his new one. Horus put his old stuff in a trunk at the foot of his bed. He locked it and checked it to see if it was secure. His next step was to read this.... manual.

"Why the hell do I need this? What ever."

Horus picked it up and lay down in his bed. After flipping through the pages Horus began to get bored. He tossed the book on the floor and gazed at the ceiling.

"Now I wait. This should be fun."

Horus laughed at his own sarcasm, and began to nod off.

Horus woke with the book on his chest. He sat up and streached his arms. His stomic rumbled.

"Damn, I haven't eaten in two days. Where's the mess hall?"

Horus got out of bed. The manual falling at his feet. Hoorus picked it up and stared at the cover.

"I'll read after I eat."

He headed for his door and saw his reflection. He admired it.

"You'll be among the greates Trooper ever. They'll have stories about you. Horus you'll be great."

The door hissed open. The was another dorm next to his. Horus headed over to it and knocked on the door and waited.

Horus looked up, when the door slid open.

"I was just wondering if you knew where the mess hall is? I haven't eaten in days."

Horus's stomic grumbled when he finished. He just smiled at the man in the door. The man was dressed in the same uniform as Horus, maybe they both were going out for Troopers.

"By the way my names Horus. Whats yours?"

He put his hand out, for the man to shake it.

Horus followed Jakon down the hall. He nodded.

"Yes I am new. Since I was young I've always wanted to be in the ranks of the most elite troopers ever. I want to go down in history as the greatest of all. I want stories to be told of my platoon, and how the rid the glaxy of these Rebel scum."

Horus smiled to himself. This was his future. He knew it.

"So whats your story."

Horus lifted his head to look at him.

Horus's eyes lit up when the got to the mess hall. He grabbed a steak, some pizza, and BBQ wings. Then Horus grabbed some ale too. He followed Jakon to a table. Horus sat down, and began scarfing down some of the BBQ wings. Stopping only to have a drink. After the wings were gone. Horus sighed.

"God I've haven't eaten in so long. The last time I ate a real meal was two weeks ago. since then I've been eating some scraps and a littlee water. Sorry if I come off as a pig."

Horus grabbed his pizza. He started to eat it then put it down. He was making a fool of himself. In front of someone he barely knew.

"So ahh, what are you going out for. I'm again going out for A Infantry man. They get the most action, and I want to be right in the middle of it all. Blasting the shit out of those damn Rebels!"

Horus slammed his fist on the table. His mug crashing on the floor. People turned and looked at him. Horus looked away.

"Sorry."

Horus ate some more pizza. His face bright red.
