  1. Horus woke up in his room, he felt groggy and stiff. His body ached in places he never knew could ache. Lifting his head, Horus realized what had happened. It all came back clear as day. His arms had been replaced with nano technology. "Well I should test these out." Horus grabbed the edge of the corner table by his bed and squeezed. The wood began to crack, till finally, Horus broke apiece off. He grinned with pleasure. He lifted his legs and placed them on the floor. These also felt a little different. He stood up, and went into a crouch. He felt his muscles tighten. Then he released them and jumped. His head brushed the ceiling. "My legs, there're also replaced." Horus was amazed s he ran around the room, his speed had increased noticeable. This was a welcomed trait. Now the chances of him becoming the greatest were better. Horus sent a COMM to Capt. Phillip. ---COMM--- Captain, I have recovered and would like to know when I may resume my training. ---END COMM--
  2. Horus looked at his mangled arm. Tendons had been severed, chunks of bone missing. If he took the nano arm, he would be a bit stronger his firing more precise and faster. If he didn't he would have to work even harder to bring it back to strength. He sighed and looked at the medics. "I'll take the nano arm." He closed his eyes and let the meds pump him full of narcotics. His last thought was of his fathers smiling face. He was now a real trooper for the Empire.
  3. Horus was about to relax. The last droid was taken care of. Then it glinted in the corner of his eye. A rocket was being propelled at them, at high speed. "Hey, DUCK!" The rocket whizzed past them. Horus knew it wasn't over. He was right. The missile had turned around. "Alright you have any grenades left? If you do, toss one forward a little when I tell you.......NOW!" Horus also threw a grenade. They both collided with the missile. Everything exploded in front of them. Shrapnel tore through Horus's right arm. "AHHH!" Horus dropped his gun, and grabbed his arm to stop the bleeding. He prayed that was the end or the training.
  4. Horus nodded. He sprinted forward, his Blaster rifle in hand. The other private following. "Hey, I want you to break off to the right. Take the first two out, I'll do the same on the left. Then we'll both take out the fifth. Use frags and grenades. Also try and find cover. GO NOW!" Horus turned to the left and ducked behind a thick tree. He held a grenade in his hand. Horus pulled the pin and lobbed the grenade. It exploded before one of the SBD's could get their shield up. Shrapnel sprayed everywhere. Now Horus had to deal with the other droid firing at the tree he was behind. Horus slowly stood up, turned and sprinted, while firing off to his side. Time seemed to slow down as Horus lept into the air, still firing. He tucked his knees into his chest and rolled. The SBD's shield was down. Now it was easy. Horus was behind a rock now. "Hey you alright!" Horus bellowed over the gunfire. "Ya I'm alright. You." Came the other Private's voice. "Good, now get ready to take out the fifth droid." Horus cocked his blaster, adrenaline surging through him. His next move was suicide. He was going to face the droid uncovered. He still had to deal with the other droid, that one still with its shield up. Rock chunks broke off, form the droids blasts. Spraying Horus in the face. This was home for Horus. This is what he wanted, to be dead center of a battle.
  5. Horus sprinted through the hallways. He was late, for his first lesson. Horus had to leap over a man who dropped a book. He reached the doorway and straightened himself out. He stepped in. "Sir, Private Horus reporting for training. Sir." Horus clicked his heels and saluted the captain.
  6. Horus stopped fireing. He turned and faced the intercom. "Well pal, I guess this is where we part." Horus set down his gun and turned to Jakon. He thrusdt out his hand. "It's been great. I really mean it, but I want to become a trooper, and you a Naval officer. We have to part now. Again, it's been a pleasure." Horus waited for Jakon to shake his hand. He would then head for training.
  7. Horus picked up the rifle in front of him. A target jumped up. Horus fired. The bullet seared through the target. Another came up. Horus squeezed the trigger. The slug ripped through the bull's eye. "HA! I still got it. Beat that Jakon." Horus continued firing on the targets. Each coming close or hitting the bull's eye.
  8. Horus stood up also. He smiled. "Lead the way. Again I really don't know much about this place, but I would love to pull the trigger of a gun. It's been awhile." Horus pushed his chair in and took one last bite of his pizza.
  9. ((Sorry didn't know )) IC: Horus looked up at Jakon. He felt bad. Horus also had his troubles with his brother. His own brother once tried to kill him. "I'm sorry to hear you had problems with your family. I have had my own problems. My brother once tried to kill me in my sleep. He was a nut anyway. I ended up killing him. In self-defense. I have nightmares of the night sometimes." Horus shuddered thinking of his insane brother. His insane twin to be precise. "Well... What else is there to do around here? We still haven't been told where to go." Horus pushed his plate away and smothered a burp.
  10. Horus laughed at himself. He finished the pizza he was working on, and moved on to another. He spoke in-between bites. "Well...I...was...never good....at....making first impressions." He finished this pizza. Horus grabbed his mug it was empty. So he got up and refilled it. He drained it, before he sat down. "God I would have never eaten like this a year ago. I would have used a fork at least. My parents would be scolding me right now." He leaned back in his chair. He searched for something to start a conversation about. "I don't mean to pry but, why don't you remember your past? If it's too personal you don't have to answer. I'm just curious. Not many people forget their past. It's what makes them who they are." Angel folded his hands on his stomach and rocked in his chair.
  11. Horus's eyes lit up when the got to the mess hall. He grabbed a steak, some pizza, and BBQ wings. Then Horus grabbed some ale too. He followed Jakon to a table. Horus sat down, and began scarfing down some of the BBQ wings. Stopping only to have a drink. After the wings were gone. Horus sighed. "God I've haven't eaten in so long. The last time I ate a real meal was two weeks ago. since then I've been eating some scraps and a littlee water. Sorry if I come off as a pig." Horus grabbed his pizza. He started to eat it then put it down. He was making a fool of himself. In front of someone he barely knew. "So ahh, what are you going out for. I'm again going out for A Infantry man. They get the most action, and I want to be right in the middle of it all. Blasting the shit out of those damn Rebels!" Horus slammed his fist on the table. His mug crashing on the floor. People turned and looked at him. Horus looked away. "Sorry." Horus ate some more pizza. His face bright red.
  12. Horus followed Jakon down the hall. He nodded. "Yes I am new. Since I was young I've always wanted to be in the ranks of the most elite troopers ever. I want to go down in history as the greatest of all. I want stories to be told of my platoon, and how the rid the glaxy of these Rebel scum." Horus smiled to himself. This was his future. He knew it. "So whats your story." Horus lifted his head to look at him.
  13. Horus looked up, when the door slid open. "I was just wondering if you knew where the mess hall is? I haven't eaten in days." Horus's stomic grumbled when he finished. He just smiled at the man in the door. The man was dressed in the same uniform as Horus, maybe they both were going out for Troopers. "By the way my names Horus. Whats yours?" He put his hand out, for the man to shake it.
  14. Horus woke with the book on his chest. He sat up and streached his arms. His stomic rumbled. "Damn, I haven't eaten in two days. Where's the mess hall?" Horus got out of bed. The manual falling at his feet. Hoorus picked it up and stared at the cover. "I'll read after I eat." He headed for his door and saw his reflection. He admired it. "You'll be among the greates Trooper ever. They'll have stories about you. Horus you'll be great." The door hissed open. The was another dorm next to his. Horus headed over to it and knocked on the door and waited.
  15. Horus looked down at the uniform. He smiled and began to peel of his old clothes. Once his uniform was on he picked up his new blaster. It wasn't as good as his old one, but it was his new one. Horus put his old stuff in a trunk at the foot of his bed. He locked it and checked it to see if it was secure. His next step was to read this.... manual. "Why the hell do I need this? What ever." Horus picked it up and lay down in his bed. After flipping through the pages Horus began to get bored. He tossed the book on the floor and gazed at the ceiling. "Now I wait. This should be fun." Horus laughed at his own sarcasm, and began to nod off.
