Moric set the auto-pilot to the Nirauan Sith Academy, he moved slowly toward his room and layed down. Was he making the right decision?...yes. The Jedi took away a place in his heart that could never be filled, they had to be punished. Using the enemy's power against them was the only way that Moric could think to do it, he had tried everything else...

Scorp notice that his master was saying something. Tearing himself away from his own thoughts he showed nothing on his face as he waited for Mathis to speak. Scorp would deal with his own problems later and that sword need some insight on. He should have brought it with him instead of leaving it in his t-65. Oh well He turned his attention to Mathis.

Yue felt relaxed after being in space for a bit. He had forgotten what it had felt like to be in space. Yue had no idea why he was flying to coruscant when the Rebell fleet was on its way there, but somthing told him if he did not early. what he is looking for may not be there afterwards. Yue set the auto pilot and then let him self fall alseep.

The Deception hurls through hyperspace as Solus lays back on the controls facing Djeal. Solus took a long deep sigh and began to talk.

"Well, we have three choices. One, we can go to Corsucaunt. Two, we can go to Corellia. Or three, we can stick around this is sector until something comes about. Either way, we're smuggling. Follow me."

Solus lazily got up to make a drink at the lounge. He handed himself a glass and made a Jarwa juice with his own twist of zest. Djeal followed closely behind.

The large Chistori did not follow. Instead he held the controls so the ship wouldnt go out of control. Djael stared deep into the blackness of space with his sharp eyes as he switched the ship to autopilot. He leaned back and folded his hands behind his head giving a deep sigh. The lizard spoke with a deep raspy voice.

" By the looks of it, we dont need to go to the Last Call due to your own mini bar. I dont see any reason to go to Corrilia for there is probably no one there. So I guess we can always just sit here and wait for some thing to happen."

Djael smiled showing his pearly white fangs. He turned the rotating chair and stood up. Giving a long stretch, he walked through the ships halls and reached the passenger room where a chess table stood. Djael sat down and started hologron chest up.

Yue was on Corsucaunt, but for such a populated plaent he saw no one. He wondered looking for any one, any thing only to find not a single living soul. He kept searching untill he came to a single door. The door had the same symbol on it, just like his pendeant. He opend the door and heard the Rebell fleet move in and start engaging the enemy. As the battle took place a single bomb went off.

Yue awoke from his sleep in a cold sweat with fear heavy in his heart, for he could not tell if that was a dream or somthing more. As he gathered himself his ship dropped out of hyper space over Corsucaunt.

Taking a deep breath, Mathis starts to tell the tale of his past.

"I first came to the Jedi when I was, oh, fifteen or sixteen. Since then, I've been many places, such as Sullust, Yavin, Hoth, Dagobah, Manaan, and I'm sure that there's a couple other places that I've forgotten. I've also gotten to meet a lot of people, but few of them are still alive. The people who influenced me the most also happen to all be dead. They've been all but forgotten by the rest of the world. I used to have a few friends, but I haven't seen them in months, at the very least.

Sighing, Mathis picks at a cuticle on one of his fingers before continuing.

"I've seen a lot of things. I've seen people stretched to their limits, others getting pushed too far. I told you before that I joined when I was sixteen. I was killed shortly afterwards, on Ilum, at the funeral of the Jedi Master Adi-Wan Tinova. I came back to life at a cloning facility on Coruscant shortly after, but I had been changed from that day on. I had the cloners do some genetic altering before they revived me. I aged ten years after that. That was when I started my path of isolation."

"I went to the planet Hoth, and was trained by a Jedi Knight named Malin Kyrell. I hooked up with the rest of the order afterwards, and soon had my first apprentice, Joel Lance. He was an extremely talented young man, but shortly before his trials, he fell into a coma. During that time, I had a bit of a disagreement with one of the more prominent members of the Jedi Order, Master Sly Stevenson. I then died again shortly afterwards, this time trying to destroy a Sith. Came back to life, met Joel again, that whole coma thing happened, met my next apprentice, Nom, who did get Knighted, met you guys, and got killed again."

Sucking in air after having spewed out that last sentence in one breath, Mathis looks at his apprentices, locking eyes with each of them for a moment.

"I've been killed four times. I've done what I can to pass on whatever knowledge I have. And yet, I get no respect. When I was at the Jedi base the last few times, I tried to get information and was ignored. And this last fight with the Sith, I finally snapped. I touched the Dark Side and used my emotions to fuel my power."

"That's my story. So, what do you think of me now?"

Ish was a bit wide eyed from the story he'd just heard. His respect was even greater for Mathis than he had before. The jedi had been through so much.

"You're much wiser than I master, but I can say that all this shows is that you're human. From what I've read of the Jedi from the Holocrons, the Dark side is dangerous, but you are able to abate yourself from going down the path of the dark side once you start."

Ish sat back in his seat with a frank manner. He himself had much growing to do if he was to become a Jedi. Hopefull this time they would be able to complete their training with no distractions.

"Do you really want to know what I think." Scorp stared at Mathis with an age in his eyes that went beyond his 18 years.

"I'll tell you want I think. I think that you throw too much on your shoulders. It seems you regret so much yet if I am correct your about as old as I am. Your 26 and I am 19. You seem to blame your self for so much it no wonder you have Isolated yourself. You might end up like me in the end with more mental blocks then you can get past and being force to live in the present and maybe the future but never really looking back. You my dear Master have emotional issues that you need to resolve. I think that you are blaming yourself for the fact that the people around you die. If this is so then you are on the path to the dark side. IF you think it took that last fight for you to snap your wrong. Dead wrong you been influenced by the dark side for so long that when you used it in battle you were suprised by the reflection. That is why you were killed again. A jedi can not get rid of his emotions only control them. As protectors of civilization itself we must keep a unnatural stae of peace around us. You on the other hand have been blaming your self for some many things that you went to your emotions for survival. That is why you isolated your self. You feared you emotions."

Scorp gave a pause. He had kept pretty calm till now his voice became lower.

"You... you and me and Ish over there don't even matter in the affairs of the order. We are used to enforce peace and we are used as soliders. did YOU know that I died on Hoth I died for something I wasn't even really a part of. I Was always ignored there and had few friends. Nobody really cared there do you know why. Because we are no longer jedi. We use the title but we are so wrapped up in this war that we have no place in that we ourselves have lost our way. The real reason I have stuck with the jedi was because I only have one hope. To restore back to the jedi what they lost..."

Scorp felt like he couldn't talk any more. yet he still managed to say.

"That... that is whay I ..... think." Scorp sat back and leaned against the wall and braced himself he shouldn't have said so much he should have shut his mouth a while ago.

Ish glanced over at Scorp who seemed to be more into this than even Mathis, though their master was the one who was actually spilling his heart.

With a shrug to Scorp who did not see him, Ish twisted his body around while still sitting to crack his back. With a sigh of genuine discomfort followed by the rush of adrenaline from his cracking vertabrae Ish eyed his master.

He looked back at Scorp and spoke. "I believe that our Master knows what is going on with himself, he just felt compelled to enlighten us to his life. It helps to know someone better if you know of their past Scorp. I'm sure you know this in any case, but certainly it isn't our place to chastise Mathis for his faults."

Ish hopped up and walked over to Scorp leaning against the wall. He placed his hand on Scorps shoulder as he'd done back on Hoth. "I'm not against you, I just feel maybe we ought to give our master more credit for knowing certain faults he carries.....I think he's quite self aware."

Ish did not wish to start anything with his fellow apprentice as he cared for him when they'd already been through quite a bit together, from Hoth to Ilum. He just felt maybe Scorp seemed a bit harsh on Mathis. All these thoughts weighed heavily on the young apprentice as he did not wish for there to be any tention among the trio.

A small freighter hurtled through space near Coruscant.

"Mira," Indy said, "once we enter hyperspace, we'll make a few short jumps so that our trail will be impossible to track, even for one as skilled as Faust."

As she talked, she sent the information to Moon on a secure channel. "Follow us," she commed.

The two ships entered hyperspace and popped out about fifteen minutes later. Reading the coordinates for another jump, Indy punched the button, and the ship jumped again. One more time, Indy thought.

After the third jump, Indy opened a secure channel to Moon's ship. "Still with us Moon?"

While she waited for him to reply, she turned to Mira. "Send our present coordinates to Darex so he knows where to find us...only make sure the link is completely untracable," she warned.

Mira had sat back, just closing her eyes and trying not to think about what they had just been through. They had managed to escape which she could be very thankful for. They'd had some close shaves though. When that package from Geki had turned up at the hospital she had been frightened. She didn't know how he had found her or why he wanted her. Then when he had shown up, taking Ben'a prisoner and letting them go she was stunned, well at least until Faust had shown up, again on their tail. What did they want from them? From her?

For someone who had been brought up in a tough enviroment, the feelings of fear and helplessness were foreign to her. Since her torture she had lost that part of herself that had coped with that sort of treatment. She'd lost her tough shell and was left with only a fragile lining that desparately needed to get toughened up again.

She wanted to stay with the Deathstrikers though. She couldn't desert Indi with their numbers so low. Hearing Indi's request she started tapping the comm's board infront of her, finding that Darex had moved locations. Not knowing where he was now, she sent out her encrypted message on a wide band, hoping it would reach him.

Miss Jesra,

My master and I are speaking to the Jedi council right now about your situation. I'm sure they will be willing to help, however, I am currently unsure about what form that help will take. I ask you to wait a little while longer.

Stay safe, and send my regards to Indy that I hope we will see each other soon.

"Ya Know I think I talk too much." Scorp then gave a mighty big laugh.

"Yea your right I am sorry I Shouldn't speak so many of my thoughts."

Scorp then turned to Mathis.

"I am sorry Master."

Then he gave a big grin.

At the sound of Darex's voice piped through on the comm, Indy couldn't help but smile. It was good to hear his voice again.

"Alright Mira," she said, "we'll get you to the Jedi. When Darex contacts us again, we'll meet him and his master. The you can start your training, while I build a new Death Striker base."

"Get me to the Jedi? Can't afford to do that Indi, the Deathstrikers are low on numbers as it is. I'm not going to desert you now."

Hearing the next message come through the comm system, Mira started to shake her head, there was no way she wanted to go back to Coruscant...

"No, I'm not going back there, we just left there. I don't care if the Last Call is suppose to be a neutral place, I'm not going there Indi. I can't go back there!!"

OOC: This action was okayed by Mira

All around space, life was quiet. In hyperspace, life was just as quiet. Save for the rare passing of a ship flying along it's way in life, life was quiet. The almost conquered world of hyperspace knew little disturbances. These days rarely did a ship collide with an object due to the advance navigation computers all ships had. Any known and registered spacial object was considered to be passable. Unfortunately, one object was unknown.

Several light-years ahead of the safe ship that carried the running Mira and Indi, a light blue myst cloud began to form in their hyperspace corridor. The presence of the Force was strong with in this cloud, though it was a presence hardly anyone truely had felt.... much less understood.

In the warm and comfortable cabin Mira and Indi called 'home' for the time being, shadows began to overtake the limited amount of light. The air turned from a gentle warmth to a harsh cold. Deep with in the core of each grew a seed of evil fear. The pits of their stomaches deepened into a bottomless source of darkness. A source of great Evil was among them.

With in a split second, the quiet of life was interrupted. Now directly in contact with the blue cloud of myst before them, their ship shook rapidly. The atoms and molecules of the ship began to tear apart in quick transite. With in a mere second, the entire ship was gone....

Solus finished his drink and walked to the passenger room next to the chess board. He kicked his feet on the table. Solus did not return the smile. Instead a loud droopy sigh escaped his mouth.

"Well, At least there's chicks at the last call............and games."

Solus turned on player two of the chess board. Playing against a chistori was probably a bad idea however Solus was the captain and long friend of Djael. He knew that if djael lost, he wouldn't pull Solus's arm off their sockets.

Djael smirked and typed in a code to move one of his guys around.

" THis is boring. Lets just go to the last call. I need a hard drink and this space is getting boring."

The Chistori stood up and headed for the cockpit. He sat in the copilot seat and waited for the pilot.

"Very good," the dark lord resonded, and pulled from his cloak, a small holocron.

"Your mission during transit, is to unlock the mysteries of this ancient teaching device. I will not give you any hints as how to access the knowledge it provides. Use your non-force instincts, and learn to implement the force into your already keen intellect. Once you have learned the lesson it has to offer, come explain to me what you learn."

Jareth then made his way to the cockpit.

*Arkady kneels and examines the device, puzzled by it. He deftly feels out the small holocron, his nimble fingers looking for cracks, buttons, or levers, but finds nothing. After a few hours he is very frustrated by the device, and almost throws it across the room in exasperation.

Then it hits him; Master Vermillios told him to incorporate the Force into his instincts. He closes his eyes, and attempts to let this mythic energy flow into him. His fingers move, as if compelled by some unseen force, and within minutes the box opens and folds out, spilling a blue light forth. Arkady grins, delighted, and takes the holocron to Jareth.*

'Master, I have unlocked the holocron.'

It was a chance event, but nonetheless, the meaning of it was enormous. Whoever this technician was, if he somehow still lived, would have to be repaid with all that Ben'a could muster. In the moments before the doctors at Sanity's End could restore the body of Jedi Knight Ben'a Solo, and keep him in their tortuous undeath, his mind had taken an extraordinary opportunity. It was something that even he didn't fathom in the realm of the possible, but regardless, the separation was made ”“ and quite painfully, too.

And yet, as the mind of Ben'a Solo bolted away from that place of evil intent, he felt supremely at peace. His mind was traveling at the speed of, and in complete harmony with, the Unifying Force. It was the Force that urged him on, and it was the Force that carried him to the Jedi enclave on Haruun Kai, where a new body was waiting to accept his mind. It was the experience of a lifetime, but more then that, it was an experience that brought Ben'a even closer to the Force than he could have ever hoped for. And on top of that, he was not alone.

Three spirits accompanied Ben'a on this journey, and each one bore their own message, delivered in whispers that would resonate with him forever.

The spirit of his father, Jacen Solo, was the first to speak. ”œYou have done well, my son, to succeed in this mental escape. You have achieved what few Jedi have ever done, you have become one with the Unifying Force. But there is more that you must learn; things that I learned from Vergere. You must learn the art of the small, and you must learn the wild and controlled aspects of the Force. And you must go back to Myrkr.

When his father had finished, another powerful aura took his place; the aura of Luke Skywalker, the Rebuilder of the Jedi Order. ”œBen'a, I am honored to have this chance to speak with you, the scion of the Skywalker family. My own son Ben is out there, somewhere, and maybe you will find him, but that is not your quest. You must go to the ancient Jedi library at Ossus, where you will learn much from the knowledge gatheree there. The Knights of the Old Republic stored their most valuable secrets in that place, secrets which you have proven that you are capable of handling.

And if that wasn't enough, the apparition of Luke was then replaced by the Chosen One himself, Anakin Skywalker. But instead of the young, impetuous boy, or the old man, scarred by the Dark Side, Anakin was the strong and peaceful image of the quintessential Jedi Master. ”œYou did a wonderful thing, in resisting the Dark Side during your fight with Geki, and your imprisonment in his headquarters. You avoided the mistakes I made, but you must know one thing: when a fight is unavoidable, you must never hold back with your powers, or with your weapons. Ysalamiri are powerful, but they can be resisted, and an opponent with one can be overcome. The Force will aid your hand, no matter how close they are, if you let it.

Finally, the spirits finished with their messages, and though he knew that they may not be able to speak with him again, Ben'a would let what they had said carry him onward. Many things needed to be done, and as he continued through space at the behest of the Force, he could feel an evil corruption brewing somewhere, out there. And if this plan was allowed to come to fruition, the entire galaxy could be lost in a burning inferno of darkness”¦
