Damon bid Aryian as well. They both now knew they must go and do what was asked of them.

Damon went to the ship that took him to Shadow station and left for where Nom was hoping to figuer out why his old master wanted to meet.

Its a blast from the not so distant past.

Mindan sat thoughtfully as Laayla flew through space. Now he had completed his first goal of rebuilding the Black Sun, structurally, he knew he needed to continue to build momentum and move forward, keeping his operatives busy, their skills honed. But he needed missions comign through the doors for that.

Making a couple of course changes, Mindan ended up coming back into real space in orbit around Coruscnat.

Traven plotted a hyper space route for Cardia. The hyperspace engines whirred and the capacitors charged. The normal engines had been accelerated to full and 5 seconds left to go before the engines kicked in 4”¦”¦3”¦”¦.2”¦..1”¦ Traven felt the ship jump he saw the stars wis by and he was in hyper space, cruising along until he came to Cardia.

As they left the planet, Durose's head cleared up.

"Wow... what was that?! It sounded like everyone was talking all at once. I could barely hear a thing over that noise. That and the pounding headache it gave me. You here all that, Bree?" Durose chuckled, "Complete chaos to be sure. The weird thing is a could of swore their mouths weren't moving. Pretty weird, huh?"

(From THe Black Sun Citadel Coruscant)

Mindan set course for a spot in space that was only vaguely in the direction he wanted to go. Coming out of hyperspace in an empty region of space some hours later, Mindan had Crow run a full diagnostic of the ship and test of the weaponry while there was no danger of interruption.

Satisfied finally that everything was working as it should, Mindan set course for a point that was in the general direction he wanted to go. Mindan dropped out of hyperspace another three times, wanting to take no chances on this first journey that he was being followed and would be allowed as much uninterrupted time as possible to inspect the planet.

Brina turned to her companion. "Are you alright, Durose?"

She stood from the captain's chair and grabbed his arm. "You're going to lay down until we get back, and then go to the medical center at the Casino. You were really out of it there...repeating what people said, disoriented, staring off into nothingness..."

She wouldn't let him naysay her, and got him settled just as the warning beeped signalling they were approaching Ord Mantell. "Now you just sit there as I get us landed on the station. Then go to the med center...I'll make the report to Zara."

She headed back to the cockpit and took them out of hyperspace...

Durose didn't fight Brina as she led him back to his room. Sitting down on the bed, Durose felt exhausted.

"Yeah...maybe...maybe I'll do that..."

After Brina left, Durose sat on the bed for a little while longer.

Ah. I think I'm feeling better now.

Getting up from the bed, he began to walk to the door. Everything was good at first, but suddenly the room started tilted.

"WHAM!" the metal clanged as he banged his head against the doorway. Holding his jaw, he rolled back and forth in pain for a few seconds. He noticed he had gotten some blood on his hands. His mouth must have been bleeding.

Dang it!

Trying to sit himself upright, Durose miserably failed. Finally giving up, Durose laid sprawled out across the floor, half way inside his room, half way outside. Tilting his head to the side, Durose spit out some body and then felt his mouth again.

Yup. I definitely am bleeding.

As the freighter passed through the spatial realm of hyperspace, Beltran paced along through the mess hall. He was getting anxious, this trip was taking too long and the crew was obviously completely inept. Every now and again, one of them would poke their heads inside, only to recieve a withering glare from himself, Rihn or Grimm. None of them were happy about being here, that much he could tell for certain.

In the cargo hold, Beltran knew that their catch, a young Rancor slept through his tranquilizer induced comatose state. It was a small piece of pleasure, to know that he had helped bring such a powerful creature in.

In truth, he wanted desperately to get back to the palace. He wondered if his associates from the Link had made it back to their home yet. He would wait a few more days before having Orb contact them about setting up the details of their trade agreement.

Beltran soon found that he had met the ship's bulkhead. Turning around, he began to stalk back in the other direction.

This is going to be a long trip...

By the time Darla had washed up and made it back to the cockpit the Shadow Dancer was already making its journey through hyperspace. She had noticed that Darex had been concerned when she had left and sent her his reasurance through the force. It made her smile that her friend was sensitive enough to realise that she had been upset despite her best efforts to hide it.

A long shower and a clean black jumpsuit had moved Darla far beyond the mood she had been in. She flet clan and ready to tke on the galaxy. As she entered the cockpit she was still tying back her long slightly damp hair.

"So where are we headed?" Darla asked tking a seat, the tone of her voice showed that she was her old self one again.

Darex was even more perplexed when Darla reappered wetter, but happier than she had been back on Gala. He gave a mental shrug. Women...

He readily answered her question. "We're headed to the Corellian system, to the Gateway. It's an old space station that was converted into an entertainment/shopping tourist attraction, but it's kind of faded from the tourist route. I don't think anyone really goes there anymore...the Golden Link Casino has taken it's place. However, it is still in service to anyone who wants to go there, and it will serve our needs well."

He leaned back in his chair. "Actually, the thing I find most interesting about the Gateway is that when Montu Codru was destroyed, Pacalis City and another city were moved up to the station. It really was a feat of engineering genious, and allowed the Codru Ji to still have a place to call home."

Darla finished tying back her hair as she listened to Darex. It would dry soon enough. It felt good to be in a clean jumpsuit. Although she was calm and cotrolled about the matter her mind did keep wondering back to Fynn. She couldn't figure out what his problem was. Well, she could but surely after all the time that had passed he shouldn't still be so touchy about the matter. Darla could only hope that Fynn realised her that it was her handy work on is ship out accepted the esture as a peace offering.

After the trials Darla planned to go back to Gala and offer her services to the Rebellion. Maybe Fynn would still be there. Darla realsied that while she was no longer upset she was obsessing over the matter. It was difficult for her to stop though, the more she tried not to think about it the more she couldn't stop.

Dam you Fynn... You really are under my skin...

Darla realised that Darex had finished talking and she was still staring into the hyperspace through the viewport. She filled th silence, not wanting to get lost in her thoughts.

"I've never been there, but I've heard of it. Sounds good to me. Plenty of room and very few poeple to get in way. I doubt we're being followed or watched but if we were this would surely be the last place to look for a Jedi." Darla hoped that she had been listening well enough to Darexto get the point of them heading to Pacalis city. "I take it you've thought up some interesting things to test Niana's skills?"

Darla winked at her apprentice.

How could Fynn not want to see her get knighted? What better things ha he got to do?

Drawing on the force Darla clamed herself before the thoughts running through her mind had time to upset her.

Oh well, it's is loss...

"Indeed," Darex replied. He wanted to keep his ideas to himself for now, although he'd speak to Darla once they arrived at the Gateway, as he had a role in mind for her that wasn't that of an observer.

"Actually, I've never been there myself either, but I've heard of it, and knew this was the perfect chance to check it out," he added.

He could tell that Darla was distracted with something, but didn't want to pry. As Nivana seemed deep in thought and concentrated on flying, he pulled on his goatee. "Darla..." he hesitated. "It's clear that you have something on your mind. If you want to talk about it...well, I'm a pretty good ear."

Darla finally gave in, she didn't have anything to hide. The only reason she had been so tight lipped was because she hadn't wanted to upset Nivana so close to the trials.

"Its Fynn. I went to see him before we left and he was really...well pretty off with me. He kinda freaked out and stormed off ebfore we could really talk. I'm not really sure what his problem is." Darla sighed heavily. "I asked him if he wanted to join us and be a pr of Niv's trials..."

Her eyes moved over to Nivana and she had an uncomfortable expression on her face.

"But he didn't want to, he was very clear about it. I really don't think it has anything to do with you Niv. Not at all. It's me that he doesn't want to be around."

She turned back to Darex.

"I think he's got it in his head that there's something between you and me and he's really jealous about it. That's the only thing that would explain his behaviour... That and the fact the he's still not over me rejecting him."

Well there it was, she had said it. Now that it was out in the open Darla could relax a little.

"But I don't want any of this to ruin the trials. I'm really ok about it and I'm going to be there for you Niv, the whole way through."

Darex was surprised at what Darla thought Fynn was jealous about, but realized that must be it. Fynn had said something to him earlier about it too, but Darex hadn't realized what his friend was hinting at.

He fixed Darla with an emerald stare. "That he still loves you is, I think, obvious. He's confused and heartbroken, and letting his emotions get the best of him. He's closer to the Dark Side than he's ever been, and I think somewhere inside, he knows that. It scares him, so he lashes out. I think that's why he attacked you before, accusing you of being a double agent."

He paused. "And then, there's your actions toward him. You rejected him, but still want to be close to him it seems. He's confused by that. Either you should leave him alone, or take the step you refused to take before--at least, that's how Fynn sees it."

He wasn't going to tell her his other suspicions. He had a feeling that Darla was still partly in love with Fynn...she seemed to be obsessing over his actions an extrordinary amount. He gave an inward sigh. This is why love was forbidden in the old Jedi Order...

Niv stayed quiet for most of the trip. She didn't feel she had anything of importance to add to Darex's words in regards to the situation with Fynn. She did secretly hope that both Fynn and Darla would eventually get past that which plagued them.

She closed her eyes and slipped into her memories, the lessons that both her masters had taught. She went right back to the beginning, back to when she was wounded and as a last resort had stumbled up the Jedi temple. That day felt as if it had happened a millenia ago...

"So I'm either his or he doesn't want to know me? Put out or get out?!" Darla's anger flared up. "Is it really that simple?"

Darla noticed Darex and Nivana's eyes on her.

"Sorry... I just, I dunno, I guess I expected more from Fynn. He valued me as a friend once, I just wish things were still the same."

The navicomp began beeping much to Darla's relief. They were about to drop out of hyperspace.

"We're almost there, should dropping into subspace any minute now." Darla said looking at the navicomp's screen glad to have something take to focus away from her. "You ready Niv?"

Darex couldn't help but be slightly worried about Darla. "If it helps," he said, "that's the way it is with lots of people. Not a good way to behave, in my opinion, but one that many people act in."

He didn't say anything more. In truth, he didn't know what else to say that would help. Fynn and Darla would have to iron this out on their own in the future. Now was the most important time, and that meant Niv's trials.

The ship burst out of hyperspace into a smattering of stars. Ahead of them stood the massive space station, and Darex took control of the ship, bringing it closer for a landing.

"Well... actually... no."

John's eyes narrowed on a holographic display of the galaxy... his finger and eyes darting to and fro across the entire map, triangular markers darting particular systems...

"Every marker symbolizes a religious organizationj not labeled as Jedi or Sith, essentially... someone who can perform the ceremony. Of course, there is always a quick sign-and-chop by Lord Correlli."

Shifting his hands, the map closed on a number of specific systems, isolating them and their inner planets... "Well... these are our choices... from what I get."

...Running away, are we?

A call nearly unrecognizeable by tone could be distinguished within the inner thoughts of Mister Skywalker. It lapsed and relapsed over each other in a haunting echo pattern before finally fading, a trail of distinct laughter heard shortly following. An outline of face slowly appeared, scattered light shown throughout the mental image as it dominated the visual senses of the grey haired man.

The darkness... I've discovered something that might even intrigue someone like you. I can see things, John; experience matters far from my own scope purely by finding that bit of the shadow which defines them... Every soul who yearns for redemption, freedom from fear... Once removed from the soul, all that is left leads to oblivion...

You are no different than them... You can not run from your past nor can you accept this fate anymore then the others can... But you have something they do not. You are the wisest man I have ever met or probably ever will have the pleasure of meeting, though I see your divergence as one from an intellectual point of view remarkable but the code must be obeyed...

At last, more facial features appeared but by this time, it was evident who this man who spoke was purely by word. His voice was clearly distinct and regular, his whole body appearing before a room void of light or space, a delicate smirk spread above his narrow folded chin.

"It is fortunate, though. Your daughter received nothing from her Twi'lek mother... A miracle, as it were. She can be spared, even raised properly to fulfill the role you could have achieved in our Order. It is up for you to decide this fate before your passing... I'll be waiting on a reply from you."

Just as his back slightly turned away, he turned his face to the side, one eye lurking over his shoulder as the piercing grey eye stared back at his former master.

"Think of her, John... Don't make me bring her with you. Hell is no place for a child."

The small trail of laughter soon ensued before the image completly faded, sight restored to John's senses, brought back to the reality which he had only strayed from for a few seconds...

It was a quick shudder... almost outside himself... the student had left the teacher and become the Master... Only a master of evil... he echoed to quell his disturbed thoughts. It was rough, cruel... and filled him with much despair...

In his time... disconnected from the world, he had also been separated from his... son, of sorts. "He's alive... and seeks to condemn me to Hell."

His eyes turned on Emily, who had spent the entire trip focused on the computer pad, puzzled over the information, mathematical concepts... enough to enlighten a child.

Her eyes rose and she offered him a smile, "You drew a tetrahedron... the stars make a tetrahedron," as she pointed towards the remaining maps of the galaxy.

"Oh... yes, you're right, my dear... a tetrahedron." A master of intuition, she noticed his sudden disconnection and inquired,

"Was it Tethyn, daddy? Was it?"

Sirvani, while not privy to the details of the 'visitation', had felt Tethyn's presence come and go, leaving John disturbed by what the Sith had said. She quickly went over to him and touched his arm. "Are you alright?"

She nodded at Emily. "Yes, dear, it was Tethyn. Do you remember him from Coruscant? But it's okay, he's gone now. Why don't you go back to your studies."

For once, Emily nodded. "Yes, mommy." It was like she understood the darkness that had suddenly touched John's mind--and most likely she did--and had known that he needed to work it out for a few minutes.

Sirvani helped John into a chair. There had been something nagging at the back of her mind for a while now, that had only been amplified by John's recent absence. She wondered if now was the time to bring it up...but decided to wait, at least until after they were married. It was more of a decision she didn't want to make until then, as part of it was...at least for her...a contingency plan.

He managed a faint smile to dissuade any doubts, "However, its not what is on my mind that interests me, you're face is scrunching up... I take it you have something that needs asking."

Meanwhile, Emily's focus returned to the datapad... her mind like a sponge.

The Twi'lek shook her head. "No, not now. We'll discuss it later. It's important, but it will wait."

As she spoke, the alarms went off, signalling that they had arrived at their destination. She watched the counter tick to zero, then eased the Nubian vessel out of hyperspace into the Corellian sector. She caught John's interested look at her choice and shrugged. "Why not? You said I could choose. Don't ask why I chose here...I just felt like it."

She spent the next few minutes on their approach to the jewlike planet pointing out all of the other planets in the Five Sisters to Emily, and explaining about the mystery of them and Centerpoint Station. It was simple to gain permission to land, and Sirvani brought the ship low, landing in the outskirts of a medium-sized town about 200 kilometers from Coronet City.
