Though his disturbing blaze had faded away, the addition of the Jedi's force light to counter it almost brought a sense of peace to Menthu. Even the pain in his side from a nearly fatal attack seemed to melt away. Yet his convictions were not just firm, they were right. He took his pleasure and his focus from his environment. The sounds of the fire still crackling allowing him to draw breath still even in this heat laden environment, where air was increasingly hard to come by. Powerful as the force light was, it was dealing with a Sith of a different sort. One not swayed by the notions of dark and light existing with out each other.

Though there was little time for thoughts and only truly time for action, his convictions still resonated inside of him. He knew fire was his way of life and the purpose of his existence. That it tore down old to bring in the new. Burning ever-upwards it couldn't itself be polluted. It was a double agent. An agent of purity and as a symbol of righteousness and truth. As well as an agent of life and an agent of death.

Had his thoughts had form, they would ave simply reflected back to his musings on the universal order. He knew that with ever dark act he committed he was also inevitably creating an act born of the lightside. It was the inevitable dual nature of fire. Fire can bring darkness to the land, scorching the earth. Yet fire brings light to the sky. Fire recycles, nutrients so that growth could begin anew. Yet inevitably no matter how one was to look at it, fire's inevitable goal was destruction. As his goal and its goal matched they could only be harmonious with one another.

The dulcet sound of the flames called to him. Pleasing as they were, they only invited him to join them. Join their harmonious sound and add greater voice to their incredible roar. His energy in excess began percolating into his weapon. ROATSO more that willing to accept this new found source of power, its crystal resonating in tune with the Master. The smoke that once curled in and around him was only a sign. They had been the beginning in what was to come.

The purposeful flame, brings chaos to order and order to chaos

As his own ammunition strong enough to set things ablaze with but a touch slammed into him, only an inhuman grin accompanied the act. Fire had long ago lost its hold over Menthu as it and he were of the same stock. It could no more hurt him as he could hurt it. They were agents of each other, each striving for the same goal.

Snippets of his own code seem to come to him in but a flash.

The living flame, and the Flaming warrior

The purposeful flame is my master

I am master of the purposeful flame.

In that same span of time, that same instant a creature of nightmares was revealed. Where once spoke curled around his body, flames shot forth. An almost impossibly rapid conflagration surrounded the Sith creating a haunting being worthy of any horror story known. Covered in crimson and ebony flames, the beast seem to almost radiate a malevolence that chocked the very light out of the room. Yet the worse feature weren't the soulless pits that resembled eyes with a hidden intelligence. Nor was it the wickedly fiendish grin that seemed to cover the demon spawn's face. It was the imposing size the already bunyanesque physic of Menthu seemed to gain.

At an imposing height the now pythonic flame warrior had been born. Yet it had only taken the span of an instant for the visual to manifest itself before the eyes of the Jedi. Yet the flames that now leaped from what once seemed like a man served a far greater purpose than what was immediately evident. Most men would shriek in terror at the sight of such a being approaching them on the battlefield. Yet for the few brave enough to hold their ground however briefly would find their efforts to be in vain. As the flames forged of the darkside became an armor of a fearful sort. Blaster bolts ricocheted off in the same manner of his spider silk. Yet even those skilled in melee combat would find their effort to be of no avail. Melee weapons fell to such a manifestation in the same manner as if they had been cast into a forge. Melted down upon striking the gruesome creature. Even a lightsaber would for a time find its efforts severely lacking, which allowed him to be far more reckless in such close quarters. The inherent problem for the Jedi was that this suit of armor, this mere flame warrior was simply that. Unbeknown to the Jedi however, was that was only the bottom tier. The most frightening aspect was it still had the power to grow, it was but the starting point of something greater to come.

The Force swelled around him, and with a deep breath he blew forth a fiery creation meant only for creatures of myth. For most in the art of breathing forth flame their ability was limited. Their skill did not lie beyond having their creation travel in a straight line. Menthu had learned how with the force to go beyond such limitations. The massive fireball shaped like the head of a kyrat dragon emerged form the Sith's mouth. The fearsome visage that sped toward the Jedi was of a special sort. Had it been at its most basic level, it would have only continued at the Jedi in a straight line. Even the addition of a shape would have been impossible. Yet this behemoth of a creation was beyond that of even the level of a Sith lord's ability. This was the creation by a master of pyrism. He wouldn't even need to keep a line of sight on his target like a Sith lod would be forced to. No the Jedi was doomed to be devoured in the jaws of the dragon as even should the Jedi run, it would follow. It would give chase like a hungry hound dog or a missile locked onto its target. As long as Darth Raset was in the general vicinity there was no where the Jedi would be able to run that it would not follow.

So shall another jedi burn and another bond broken.

(( I hope I didn't God mod here, I don't think I did, given that it was following me, and I led it somewhere”¦ I don't really know how it is going to go from here, I would hope that you follow out to the main chamber as well, but that is up to you.))

Kautra stood there amazed at the sheer power of the Sith, and his undaunting control of the fire that engulfed him. He watched as the flames rose higher in around his enemy, and could not help but wonder why the sprinklers hadn't gone off yet. He had little time to maul it over in his head, because as soon as he looked back down from one of the non-functioning sprinkler, he noticed a massive fireball shaped as a kyrat dragon head hurdling in his direction. He stood paralyzed with shock. How had this escalated to such a massive degree of violence?

His body responded automatically with a little persuasion of the force, instinctively he leaped towards the table, and rolled of it, landing on his feet facing Menthu. Before he could launch another attack, he noticed that the giant fireball had diverted direction and followed him over the table, igniting the broken pieces as it tore through

Kautra looked in amazement, he figured that the fireball would have some sort of trick to it, but he didn't think that it would be able to follow his movements. Kautra had to think of something fast before his life was ended in such a glorious battle. He began to fill himself with the natural balance of the force, and built it up inside of him, holding it for his final attack.

He ran around the side of the table, and dived under the blazing beast, scorching his back as he slid under it. Propping himself back to his feet, he was heading for the door to the main hall, all the while the burning head of flame chased his heels. He passed a few padawans as he entered the main hall, and he hoped that the fire ball would pass them by, and follow him to the main chamber.

He made it to the main chamber of the Temple which housed a beautiful Water fountain that was the center piece of the entrance. Kautra knew that he would have little time to stop this beast of fire, because if he took too long it would easily end his life. He allowed the force to take over his skinny muscles in his legs, and give him the final boost of speed to separate him from his pursuer enough to allow him to retaliate.

He had a good 10 meters on the flaming head that followed him, when he made a fast turn and dived into the fountain. As soon as his skin touched the water, he release all the natural force energy he stored in him in that short period of time, causing the crystal clear water to rise up, flaming a beautiful wall of water between him and the flaming beast. He was unable to tell by sight if the flame serpent had stopped, so he closed his eyes, and allowed the force to flow through his mind, and illuminate that area around him. He caught sight of where the fire ball was, and willed the wall of water towards it.

In his mind with the aid of the force, he molded the fore-front of the wall of water to resemble the face of his beloved companion Neada, the vornskr that was waiting patiently in his room in the temple. With the Vornskr shaped wall of water thrashing towards the flaming dragon head, Kautra released more of the force, and pushed the wave into the fireball. With a loud hiss of fire and water colliding, an epic battle of fire and water commenced.

Perhaps the outcome would have been different. Maybe had he been present at the time what came to pass would not have. Yet this was not so. Menthu lagged some what behind in the proceeding. Curious as to where the Jedi traveled he did follow his own creation. Yet he was no longer an ebullient, energetic adolescent. Patience was not a virtue that had been lost in the passing of time, and for each moment he delayed he only grew stronger in his might.

Still that had nothing to do with what befell the jedi. The jedi was indeed powerful. Menthu had noted as much when he had first seen the jedi in his vibrant display of defiance against him. Yet even he was temporarily surprised, when the water of the fountain won out over the mighty flame he had cast. Perhaps it was that the water was used for meditative purpose by the jedi, or it could be the jedi's own raw power. Yet where it would have perhaps taken an ocean to defeat such a projection, now only a fountain of water had stood in its way.

Advancing forward the flaming warrior went through a transformation of sort. As the armor that now sheathed his form continued to grow uninhibited. A vermilion crown emerge atop of his form. Giving him a majestic yet frightful appearance as he stalked the halls. His very foot steps causing their own conflagrations.

It was the pinnacle of what he was in a way. Emerging into the room with the jedi, the steam that still hung heavy in the air did not at all hamper him. For no longer was he simply a mere flaming warrior, covered in fire forged of the dark side. Now he had transcended such a level. Transcended it in such a way that only a flaming avatar of war of war could have possibly done.

Though silent so far, he couldn't help but allow a laugh. A deep throaty thing, much like the roar of a lion. A wave of arrows cast of flame exploded forth from his being to accompany this terrifying sound.

No longer shall I need any flame to sustain my abilities, as I am the source of ALL POWER!

As if to emphasis his new found ability to generate his flame based attacks the very ground he used to stand on was left below him, as the heat he generated was directed in a manner to give him flight in such a room. No longer was he tied to the same dimensions as the jedi, and though still confined in a building, the ability to at least hover would prove advantageous in a fight with such a quick jedi.

Yet unmentioned in this was ROATSO. Having patiently bide its time, drinking heavily from the outflow of power. It now hummed with an angry hunger, wishing to unleash the power stored with in it. It's true power. No longer ignoring his weapon and his creation he floated to the top of the room to stare down at the jedi who had taken cover in the fountain. His skill as a marksman would not go unnoticed, as he pulled the trigger.

In that single deciding instant between the two warriors, one a mere warrior while the other a God of war, the difference in power was truly realized. There was no second guessing of the Jedi's threat, there was only the powerful rifle's shot being outshone by the beauty and power of a single sole beam. Erupting from the bowcaster, the very manifestation of Menthu's rage was unleashed. It was the logical conclusion, of a fire excited to the level of energy that coursed through Menthu's veins. Having stored its energy from the Sith Master, it unleashed itself in a way found rather common through the cosmos.

It was rare for most to see such a beautiful display of light. Especially one of such destructive power. With the beauty and intensity of a solar flare, ROATSO unleashed its most devastating attack. It was as dazzling as it was destructive. Not even the armor the first Jedi had worn, famed as it was, would not stand up well to something known only to have ever been blocked by a lightsaber. As the trigger was pulled in that instant a high intensity beam of ionized light erupted forth. Lead by an electrical charge, that added an added vibrancy to the attack, the resulting proton storm left in its wake surged forth far to small to cause anything than biochemical damage at most.

Perhaps that would have been enough for some. The simply pulling of the trigger being all that was needed to accomplish victory. Yet Menthu had the high ground and he wanted to see all around him burn. Some may have called it a whim, yet once again a fiery display of power burst forth from all over his being. Much like a shower of fire, he rained down fireballs and flaming arrows, attempting to set ablaze everything including what ever would be left of the Jedi's body.

Burn it all to ashes.

((3 sorry for the late reply, lot of traveling and what not just so you are aware the attack by ROATSO is based off of a solar ionization cannon.))

Kautra pulled himself off the ground, the immense use of the force had exhausted him so much that he fell to the floor. His head was screaming at him, and his muscles were failing him at the moment of need. He could hear a heavy thumping making its way around the hall towards where he was, it seemed that the entire fireball had been destroyed, but at the cost of all his energy.

With every thump that sounded through the ground, Kautra realized that the battle was not over yet, he found the strength to get up, and rose to his feet. He immediately started calling the force to him, gathering it in his now fragile body to help reinforce it. He was going to need every last bit of energy to take out this guy. He had not done much to his opponent, but hopefully he was weaker now that he had depleted much of his energy with this advanced technique.

He was at a loss for words when Menthu strode into the main hall. He was covered in fire, and much larger than a few moments ago. This Sith who had a air of destruction about him let out a bellowing laugh, as a torrent of arrows was released from his body. Darting straight into the air, the arrows were trailed by a tail of fire. Kautra kept his eye on Menthu as he pulled out his weapon one last time, and fired was amounted to one most powerful shot. Kautra sprung into action as soon as the shot was fired.

He had pulled enough of the natural force into his body for one more attempt to defeat his opponent. He dived forward, and allowed them force to flow from his hands, connecting it with the weeds, and vines that were growing under the temple floor.

Remembering the time he spent on Illum with his apprentice, when he was playing with growing the plants with the natural force inside him. He channeled the same feelings into the vines that were under the temple floor, and begged them to sprout up and protect his head. Like it was nothing, the Vines burst out of the ground, and began to weave into a hovel over his body. He still had to deal with the rather large bolt of energy flying at him though, he quickly called his sabers to his hands and activated them in one smooth motion, forming an ”˜X' across his chest, while kneeling on the ground. With the vines thickening over his head he intercepted the powerful blaster bolt.

The bolt made contact with his sabers, causing his body to tense up, and scream with pain. He deflected the shot towards the giant of a monster of a man. As soon as the bolt was on the way towards Menthu, Kautra used the last bit of energy to scoop up a large puddle of water and threw it at the face of the beast, followed closely by his lightsaber.

The Dark Apprentice of Lord Ar-Pharazon was cruising the galaxy aimlessly. His adventure home had led him to a massive amount of bore. So he decided to take a detour and have some vacation time explore the galaxy, kill some children, eat some more barbaric delicacies. The bucket list was looking good this time around, though Cephi had one last thing on his itinerary, surviving a planet that is not meant to support life. He looked through his log and found the closest planet with a small population that would kill off some natural life forms. Haruun Kal, the notorious Jedi hideout, a poisonous to the senses planet. Though aliens are less susceptible than humans to most toxins.

Cephi made his way to the planet and began descending toward the most populated center of the planet. On his way there he streamlined himself with the force, feeling the death that had taken the planet for its history, but a new death one not in the most toxic areas was felt, and battle was felt, and Cephi breathed it in, gaining a near erotic sensation from it. Cephi moved his ship toward the location in which this strong terror was coming from.

As the ship approached the darkness exuding from an orifice of this planet, he saw what could only be too good to be true. A Jedi Temple, and from it the Dark Side of the Force reigned supreme. Cackling loudly the ship engaged its stygium stealth mode and landed in a nearby wasteland. No exuding gases here, but possibly in the past it was. The ship landed and the Sith Apprentice exited, a rebreather over his lower face and his hood up to ensure he had no possibility of being destroyed by the organic toxins.

He walked into the temple of the Jedi to see a large bulky man, a Sith Master by his power in the dark side, though something even more sinister about him than that. Cephi cared not for him, or the whelp who stood beside him ready to die and further the cause of the Sith Empire. He felt something else once inside the temple, a new presence in the Dark Side. It brewed within...her.

Cephi lowered his hood and took off the rebreather to show his full Nagai features to the woman who seemed about to kill, strike the man who was killing the Jedi. Cephi marched across the room his sword in hand and smiled laughing all the way.

”œGirl, if you want to live I suggest you get a hold of your mind and follow me. This whelp here is going to die, and no purpose in wasting the raw talent you hold within you.”

((I'm going to back post a bit, as I've been busy (though not quite as busy as others in this thread apparently...lol) and meant to have her leave the planet long before the destruction began.))

Elnia's head was clearing as her cells began to reassimilate the oxygen for their perfectly designed usage. Her mind attuned as it was she could actually feel her body's recovery, a most curious feeling indeed.

Her mind marveled and mulled over this new sensation as she made her way through the complex to the outer hangar, aptly remembering a breathing apparatus before venturing forth in to the less-than-breathable climate.

On her way out of the temple, she passed a Jedi Knight glowing a bright but eerie dull blue, being followed closely by a man glowing a perverse crimson. She subtly shied away from the crimson man, partially out of surprise but mainly from the uneasy feeling being so close to the man brought about.

Neither spared her a second look as she skirted the pair as they went about their way and she continued on hers.

Arseven-eleven went ahead of her to prepare the ship as she took one last look about the temple. Somehow she couldn't shake the feeling of unease about that other man. Perhaps once she found her master they would speak of it.

Thinking about Aryian and his rather cryptic request and instructions (much of which were still quite unknown to the young Miraluka), retrained her focus on her insatiable curiosity. If there was one thing that she'd learned during her short time with her master and his son of sorts, is that her curiosity was quite likely to never be satisfied as one answer continued to breed a thousand and twelve questions from the one who's mind was being awakened for the first time in her young life. And the feeling was exhilarating.

An impatient chortling that seemed to be the droid equivalent to clearing one's throat, interrupted her momentary wanderings within her own mind. "Miss Elnia, we don't want to keep your Master waiting now do we?"

The young girl balked slightly of the droid use of the word "master", but it went unnoticed by the astromech droid. "Right, no we wouldn't I'm coming along."

She made sure her breather was secure before stepping through the airlock and out to the docking platform that the ships were in dock.

She boarded the E-Wing fighter and Arseven took his place at the helm, locked in the heavily encoded jump pattern.

A few seconds later the ship jumped in to hyperspace and left the system far behind.

Menthu Vs Kautra Nadio

Excellent posting on both ends, detailed, vivid, and evocative. That said, the victor is Kautra Nadio.

Menthu, I would strongly suggest toning down the power level on your character during duels. Reading through your posts felt more like Dumbledore by way of a Dragon Ball Z episode than a Sith sorcerer.

Cephi was pleased the young woman had decided not to contest him and followed him blindly in her confusion over right and wrong. The Sith Apprentice would teach her to excellence in no time, and the two of them could cause this galaxy more wounds than have been seen since the last rule of Ar-Pharazon. Smiling at the prospect Cephi made sure she was aboard his ship and then took off toward merkava.

(( that was a blast, i had a lot of fun with that=P ))

Kautra's aim was slightly skewed because of his extreme fatigue he had deflected the shot from Menthu's weapon, but not in a straight enough line to make contact with the beast before him. It had skimmed past Menthu by mere inches, not doing any sort of damage to him in any way. The bolt of energy blasted though the roof of the temple and careened through the sky, exiting the plants atmosphere. Kautra's heart didn't sink in the slightest, because his second attack was aimed perfectly.

The force thrown puddle of water made contact with Menthu's flame engulfed face, causing a hiss of steam and the dispersion of the flames momentarily. It was in the fraction of a moment the flames were not impeding any attacks that Kautra's saber zipped into Menthu's surprised face. The blade slipped through the flesh with ease, severing the brain from the body.

Kautra heard the flaming arrows striking the vine cover, they seemed to be holding up rather well, and given this was the first time that he ever willed plants to grow at his request. With a final THUMP the last of the arrows struck the enclave. Kautra hit the floor hard. His body finally giving out on him, he blacked out.

Kautra woke up roughly an hour later in the medical bay, a service droid hovering over him, checking his vital status. He calmly pushed the droid to the side and sat up. The droid uttered a thought out speech of defiance to his actions. He just ignored them, and unplugged himself from the machines, and walked out of the medical ward calling to Neada to come to him.

His life long companion strode down the hall, already anticipating his behest. They meandered down the hall towards the control room, he needed a status update on the well being of the Temple, and had to see what he could do about the number of Sith that were making their way inside un-checked. He walked in, and was immediately bombarded by a slew of questions from the staff.

He simply rose his hand, and they stopped in mid-sentence. He informed them that he wanted a detailed report of everything that had gone on, and the state of the temple, and the few occupants that resided there. The reports came in slowly at first, little bits of information popping up here and there.

WHAT!!! Kautra shouted as one staff worked let out a bombshell on him, his former apprentice, one that had just finished her training had left the Temple with a second Sith that had snuck in during the battle, and had since fell to the dark side. That was the only bit of information that had caused him to sink into his seat.

All he could do was sit there as the vast amount of information came blasting in every second. A lot of work was in need of doing.

--------------28 July 09--------------

Kautra was finished with the reports, he had had enough of the damage, and destruction of the Temple, it was time to get started on rebuilding, and increasing the level of security. How these Sith kept making their way into the temple was beginning to bother Kautra, he needed to get some guards for the front doors that can sense the dark side. He would have to make a comm to the Jedi Council to get some Jedi Sentinals down here to do the guard work.

He walked down the hall with Neada following close by. Inspecting the corridors and rooms that he passed by. He got to confrence room, where the battle had raged not long ago. He could still feel the heat radiating from the walls and the floor. The amount of power Menthu had was un-concivible. He could feel the dark side flowing from the heat, but also a strange sense of the light was in there as well. It was a strange feeling inspecting the residue of the battle.

He continued down the hallway towards the main hall where the final battle happened, the body of Menthu had already been taken away and disposed of, which kind of brough Kautra down, he wanted to look over the body, and see what he could learn from it. He thought about it, and decided that it was probly best not to get to involved with the powers that comprised Menthu.

He continued to look around the area, waiting for any sign of Jedi life around the Temple.

The battle had ended and Rep was relieved, he had been watching on one of the security terminals, the Sith had been silenced and the temple was safe. The now standing Reptilia started limping towards the Jedi, he wanted to see if he could help with anything. The journey to him wasn't a long one but it was a slow moving one as he limped over using the walls as a crutch. When he entered the room with Kautra in it he bowed and stepped closer.

"What should we do now?" He asked with a couple coughs following it, the smoke had gotten into his system which was something he hadn't felt before. He needed to get checked by a medical droid because he had burns on his back and had breathed in smoke.

Kautra was still inspecting the scene of the battle when Reptilia walked up behind him. The sudden interuption startled Kautra slightly, because he was still a little jumpy and his nerves were on end. He spun around quickly, and returned the bow to the young one.

"There is much to do, get your self checked out with the medical droid, and return to me when you are feeling better. Trust me there will be more then enough to do to rebuild, and re-fit the temple"

The turmoil caused within the Temple was well felt by it's Korunnai neighbors. One Korunnai, named Pena, quickly made his way into the Temple when he felt the time was good. Making his way through the debris, his eyes were drawn to two men - a Mustafarian and a Kel-Dor - who were speaking to each other. He slowly approached them both.

"Greetings, Master Jedi." Pena said, his Korunnai accent clear and plain as the water on Naboo. He bowed, dipping his head lower than was comfortable for him. "My name is Pena Nutter, of the local Korun Clan Ghôsh Nutter. I am called by my friends 'P-Nut.' You may refer to me as you wish, Master Jedi." He rose from his bow, and slowly surveyed the area. He swiped his left index finger over the right side of his nose quickly. He then turned back to Kautra.

"As a member of Ghôsh Nutter, it is my duty to help you rebuild this Temple. I cannot stray from my duty." He paused, lowering his voice. "I would also like to join your Order."

The Kel Dor nodded at the newcomer's arrival and turned back to Kautra. Reptilia bowed to the Jedi and obeyed and limped off to the medical bay. When he got their he laid down on a table with his back up and let the professionals take over. It was mildly painful as they fixed his back up but he knew it was necessary. The padawan cleared his mind and meditated to escape the pain, a vision from his childhood entered his mind. It was one that he wished to forget and he had succeeded in forgetting it for years until that very moment.

The small apartment that he used to call home was very dark, he awoke because of muffled sounds coming from another room. He stood up and slowly made his way over, as he did so he could here his mother's voice more distinct and he also heard the voices of strange men. As he entered the room he could see three men in white armor "escorting" his mother out of the apartment and her struggling. He walked backwards a few steps and knocked over a vase as he did so. One of the troopers went to find the source of the problem. Reptilia was scared and he ran to the dresser where a blaster was kept, he hadn't shot one before but he knew he had to protect his mother. He was grabbed by the man and he kicked and screamed, he was being carried back to the others when he squeezed the trigger and shot the man in the chest effectively killing him. When the troopers heard the shot they hurried up and dragged his mother out of the apartment, her screams sent shivers down the young boy's spine as he collapsed onto the floor and started to sob. Both of his parents were gone, he was all alone.

The memory deteriorated and Rep was laying on the table, his back was fixed up. He felt angry for some reason, the memory happened years ago and there was nothing he could do but he still felt responsible. He stood up started walking, he wasn't sure if he was doing the right thing. He wasn't fit to be a Jedi but he was still learning to be one, why? Why, Jedi are supposed to be strong enough to save the ones around them but he wasn't, his mother, his father and now Hartel.

(Edited because Master P-Nut posted before me.)

Reptilia walked around to calm his nerves, there wasn't much to think about as he already was angry at himself and his mind was clouded. He felt so many things but he didn't know what to do, the Jedi weren't helping him and for that matter no one else was. What was the point of becoming a Jedi if they didn't do anything? Throughout his entire Jedi career he had been on one mission which had been called off shortly after it begun. He realized he had made his way out of the temple, maybe it was his subconscious telling him to leave and that's what he did. He kept walking, he didn't know where he was going but he knew he needed to go. On his trek he came across a small space port which he decided was the best way to go. He handed over the rest of his credits for the transport and boarded a ship, he didn't know where it would take him but that's what made it so interesting.

((It's been three days so I am posting again. I don't know if I'm leaving the Jedi yet but I'll be on leave for now.))

Kautra shook his head, he had lost himself in a slight daze, and hadn't realized that he was being spoken to. He was caught up in the moment of inspecting the damage. The young one before him seemed willing and able to help rebuilt the torn temple.

"We can use a strong lad such as your self, there is much to do here. We can both start by cleaning up the debries"

He raised he com-link and called in some droids to help with the task at hand. When they arrived, he directed them towards the areas of which needed the most attention.

He directed P-Nut to follow him.

"tell me about your-self young one"

P-Nut followed Kautra, surveying the damage himself. He began to think back to where he left the family Aak Dog...

"There's nothing much about me, Master Jedi." The Korunnai spoke with a musical voice. "I was born and raised here on Haruun Kal, and I must admit I've only been off-world once. I've gotten into good relations with the local Aak Dogs, and some Grassers too." He explained, realizing he was rambling. "I've always thought about joining the Jedi. It's been a dream of mine, you could say." He spoke with a soft smile, a welcoming one. He picked up a large piece of the debris, and placed it onto a wall on which it fit. He patted it, and it didn't move.

"That'll do for now." He said, walking back to Kautra. "And you are revered among the local Korunnai, Master Jedi. It would be an honor to help you here."

"Remember, go straight to Grandma's house," her mother cautioned. "Don't dawdle along the way and please don't talk to strangers! The woods are dangerous."

The world was indeed a dangerous place. Her next stop brought her to the only habitable planet of the Al'har system, Haruun Kal. Raiin had heard the rumors, talk that the people of Haruun Kal had descended straight from ancient Jedi and even sported a base, of sorts, for the hallowed Order. She had paid well for this information and despite nearly exhausting her seemingly limitless funds on separate words of mouth, rumors and the like, Raiin hoped that she'd find her quarry high atop the habitable landmasses.

She'd do her best to mask her royal upbringing, noting that in her travels up until this point, such knowledge of her had been nothing but trouble. Not to mention, the ongoing galaxy-wide search for her administered by said family back on Naboo. She had no desire to return, much less any intentions to live out the tedious yet boring lifestyle that her parents planned for her.

So it was that she exited the intergalactic transport shuttle in a heavy, albeit very tattered red cowl that dutifully functioned as a disguise. It wasn't hard to learn that the base had come under fire, and just recently, due to the recovery efforts now ongoing around the base area. Raiin spied what looked to be a Jedi (Kautra) and another (P-Nut) following in-tow, both in conversation. She'd make her way up to them, hopefully gaining their attention just by being there but introduced herself first just in case.

”œI come to Haruun Kal looking for training under the guidance of the Jedi and their Order. I'm sorry to have arrived too late to help foil the destruction of this place but I hope I may be in time to resurrect it for future engagements," she concluded and waited, head bent to shadow her more recognizable features.

"Oh, well welcome newcomer. I am Pena, but you may call me P-Nut." P-Nut replied to the new girl's sudden arrival. "I too have traveled to join the Jedi." He explained in a heavily accented voice. She seemed strange, as if she was hiding something. Something important to her, but something she didn't want anyone else to know.

Fear.

"Tell me, what is your name, friend?" P-Nut added the last part to try and induce an aura of acceptance. He didn't want the girl to fear telling something, or hold something back from the Order itself.

Kautra turned around and met the young one that approached them. He allowed P-Nut to take control of the conversation as he returned the bow to her. Kautra Knew that it was important for hopefulls to develop friendships with eachother, because they would be invaluable in their future. He still maintained a friendship with some of the hopefuls back when he was one himself.

"Well, you both seem to have the desire to become Jedi, and i think that both of you would make fines Jedi Knights some day. And since i am the only master here, it is my responsibility to take you under my wing until proper masters can be found for you. For now i am not looking to take on another Apprentice, but i will start you both on the path to the light. Luck just so happens that your first lesson in the powers of the force, is hard work and dedication. This temple needs to repaired, so you two run along and ask the droids around where you are able to help."

(( I will work with you on the basics but like i said, i am not ready to take on another Apprentice, i am getting ready to head back home, and that could take me off line for a while, so it is best not to start you just to have you find someone else half way through. For now just work on posting skills, and developing a friendship with eachother, trust me, friends come in handy in the future ))

P-Nut nodded to Kautra, turned to the direction of the closest droid, and then nodded to Raiin. Running off to the droid, P-Nut tapped it on the shoulder and waited for it to turn around.

"What?" The droid asked monotonously and mechanically, yet noticeably annoyed.

P-Nut regarded the droid for a moment, and began to speak. "Need help?"

The droid, seemingly relieved, turned and held out a large piece of... well... Temple, and motioned for P-Nut to help him carry the rest of this rubble to an area near the entrance. Nodding, P-Nut picked up what he could, and brought it to the large, now broken, doors. He set his heavy load down by his feet and regarded the task at hand.

"Now, how am I supposed to get this up there?" P-Nut asked.

"I don't know." Came the droid's reply. "That is not my job!" It said with a wave of it's arm, and it went off to gather more rubble.

With a sigh, P-Nut looked back and forth from the rubble to the high place in which he was supposed to place it. He then looked at his hands, and then to Raiin.

"Hey, Raiin, wanna give me a hand here?" He called to her, getting an idea. "I think, if we both try hard enough, we can lift this up there with the Force."

  • 2 weeks later...

» "Don't worry, mommy," said Little Red Riding Hood, "I'll be careful."

It was out of character to be flushed with a sudden reserved state of mind. Yet as she looked upon the rebuilding efforts and having been allocated to some cleanup herself, Raiin was stung by the actuality of her being here, among Jedi, among people, places and things totally foreign to her. It wasn't so much as this starkness just sinking in but finally scraping through the walls she had built to shield her from the truth ”“ she was alone, far away from anything she knew.

Instead of coming to grips with it here and now, the walls were strung up again. Bricks, simulating beliefs, telling her that she was fine, that this was going to be fun, that she had been careful, all the while lacking the mortar of truth that would hold that wall from its eventual destruction, again, in the future.

She nodded, apprehensively, toward her newest acquaintance ((P-Nut)). She dropped her backpack, permitting that red cowl to separate from her and an appreciated cool rush of air to lap at her sweat-beaded back. She dropped the cowl's hood, letting her shoulder-length strawberry-blonde hair to sample the coolness as well. She hustled over to P-Nut, suddenly gripped with the prospect of moving this piece of considerable weight anywhere.

”œI'd love to help but I don't think I can force anything of that size anywhere,”

The Silver Eagle landed on Haruun Kaal and Sanj stepped out. He was wearing a mask to protect him from the gases on the planet. He walked into the planet and shuttered; his master was murdered here and his friend Reptillia was almost killed aswell. He looked around and could tell they were rebuilding the temple from the hell Menthu unleashed. Sanj removed the mask when he was safely inside. He could sense all of the force sensitives waiting to be trained in the lightside of the force.

He managed to slip away and remain unnoticed by everyone so he wouldn't have to help clean up; it wasn't that he was lazy just that it wasn't why he was here. Sanj was here to pick a padawan to teach in the force. He looked around and one sensitive stood out, she was in a red cloak and Sanj could sense that she could easily be corrupted. He would make sure that didn't happen to her. He quickly used the force to read her mind to find some basic information such as her name and where she grew up. The Knight then sensed a message through the force to her Do you wish to be trained in the lightside of the force?

» Little Red Riding Hood was enjoying the warm summer day so much, that she didn't notice a dark shadow approaching out of the forest behind her...

Raiin was startled as a voice, unlike one she had ever heard, pierced her mind and inner thoughts. The immediate realization of the prying was certainly a tad scary at first. Lightside of the force? she thought. What the devil could that be. She turned and immediately put the voice to a face, recognizing the communication had to have originated from the fellow ((Sanj)) that looked to be hiding. This was getting stranger by the minute.

She cast an inquisitive glance at P-Nut, wondering if the message was sent to everyone around them. She offered a smile shortly afterward and tip-toed around some rubble to approach the man.

He wore a peculiar set of armor that wasn't common among the other Jedi she had seen but he definitely gave off that hint of kindness, goodness, despite even actually knowing him. He had to be a Jedi. She stood there awkwardly staring at him for a moment before remembering her place. She curtsied and spoke with a rushed tone yet heavy with excitement.

"I'm Raiin and I wish to be a Jedi. Was that you that spoke to me?"

Sanj noticed her looking at the armor, he understood why. He then quickly said through the force again, The armor was a gift from my jedi master who is the Mandalore. He smiled as she bowed at him; he wouldn't require her to bow to him during her training.

He was still slightly surprised she could noticed him; to most of the untrained hopefulls he would seem as nothing more than a shadow of another person; she was definatly concentrated. He listened to Raiin speak and he then said using his voice, "Hello Raiin my name is Sanj Misavj. I'm a Jedi Knight and yes that was me taling to you through the force." "Would you want to become my padawan?" He quickly came out of the silhouetteish state he was in so he'd be fully reconizable and waited for her to answer.

Darkness...

It engulfs the sky above, the distant planets and galaxies mere specks of light within the surrounding darkness of space. To a child, he sees not light nor darkness, simply infinite possibilities. To a child, it is not scary or a big, it simply represents an endless future. To a child, it does not simply exist, it just is. The memories of my childhood was just that. The distant burning of a homely fire as i stared into it's dark abyss, my thoughts of an endless future right before my eyes as i gazed into the night filled sky above.

I drifted off, the sand below my body still warmed from the twin suns as they traveled through the day's sky. I had always found comfort and peace in the day's end. The cool breeze of the night upon the sweat from a hard day's work cooling one's body and easing tensed muscles, even those of a four year old child who was determined to help his father with everything. But that was so long ago, the memories simply what they were. Never had i ever dreamt of what would happen as i drifted to sleep that night.

Screams.....

Distant calls of my name as i laid within a deep sleep as only children could find in the comforts of home. I could not hear their search, nor the glow of sapphire from my father's lightsaber as he and my mother searched for me. I had not wandered far, simply watched as the twins suns disappeared upon the western horizon just a mere hundred yards from the safety of my home. But they did not know it. My father had long severed his connection to the force, a choice he made so that he and my mother could be wed. The only good his lightsaber could obtain was a light source to guide his way in the dark.

Nor could they know the danger they now walked into. Hordes of the Sand people came at them, my childish form unknowing of what i had led my parents into, nor that they even existed as i dreamt of a future among the stars. I sometimes find myself wishing i could have changed their fate, but it has been nearly eleven years now. What could have a four year old half breed had done as the People of the Sands overcame my father's blade and slaughtered them both? Nothing.

I awoke to the soft beeping of Hell Hound's navigational system, alerting me that i now exited hyperspace above a planet i once called "Home" very few years ago. I had heard rumors of the destruction of Haruun Kal's Temple at the hands of Piccolo and his infamous Black Sun, which saddened me for a long time. But just recently i heard of it's rebuilding and that it flourishes once again. I remembered a Jedi Apprentice who i resembled very much, taking on the infamous Bounty Hunter in attempt to stall him while the Grandmaster of the Order self destructed the temple to end the Battle.

But what became of these figures of my past, i could not say. Myself and the other Adepts were evacuated and sent to Gala for safety. It was here i decided to leave the Order, and search for myself among the stars. I would never have guessed that i would once again return here. Grabbing the controls of Hell Hound, i sat him down elegantly upon the mountain's side, just a small trek from the Temple's gates. Grabbing a spare rebreather from the hold of Hell Hound, i stepped out and stood upon it's rocky surface, looking around and taking in it's sight.

"Well, i guess i finally return, Haruun Kal..." I spoke to the planet as if it was a sentient being, capable of understanding what i had meant. In a small way, i felt as if it did. "Let's hope my luck has changed after all these years."

I began my trek, my silky white hair drifting in and out of Haruun Kal's clouds as i made the climb up toward the Temple. My emerald green gaze, hidden by the rebreather, shifted around occasionally to take in Haruun Kal's elegant sights that i had so long missed. The scars of the last battle still littered most of it's surrounding surface. But it had began to heal, and it's former beauty had seemed to return. Once i reached the top, i open the temples door and removed the rebreather. Taking in a deep breath, i found comfort once again.

"Indeed...." I spoke in silence to myself, noticing the temple's interior full of life once again.. "I am truly home."
