General Amon Goeth's cloning tube opened and released his body. His eyes scanned the room, the doctors, and their tools. Everything. He knew he had died; it had been his fault he had died as he attempted to kill the Admiral of the Alliance forces. He stepped forward and pulled the folded pants sitting on a table next to his tube towards his body, then onto his body to hide his nudity.

The young Captain moved along the line of simulators, checking on each of the sniper recruits. She would stand and watch each one's progress for a while before moving onto the next one. Once at the end of the line she turned and made her way back along. So far they looked promising.

Lora sent a comm to the Sergeant to make sure everything was going according to plan with the training, instructing him to drill them harder. They had to be pushed hard to become elite Stormtroopers. She also told him to take note of anyone who showed promise. Maybe they would end up in an elite unit if they were good enough. And they had to be good to get that honor.

She took a position where she could see a couple of the simulator screens, having the scores put up on another screen as to how they stood in competition with each other.

Both targets were set up perfectly. Each of them stood beside eachother, awaiting their ultimate demise. Kadaj still hesitated. His finger twitched upon the trigger, nearly pulling it through a few times. His breathing was preventing him from taking the shot, as he couldn't concentrate. He took a deep breathe, stuck his head up, and collected himself.

He peeked his eye through the looking glass. Both rebel officers remained in the same position. One even looked up towards the window. This time around, Kadaj held his breathe. He rested his finger upon the trigger, and set up his shot. His crosshair moved up towards the man's torso, to his neck, and finally to his temple. Kadaj set the crosshair there for a few moments, before his eyes widened. He pulled the trigger tight.

The gun recoiled slightly, bringing his shoulder back a few steps. The scope rattled, making it uncertain on whether he hit both targets or not. He quickly put his eye through the scope, and searched the room. One of the targets head exploded on impact as his body remained lifeless on the floor. Bloody remains were all over the shattered window pieces. However, he was unfortunate. The other rebel officer must of accidently moved just in the nick of time before the shot struck. He was lying on the floor. The bullet passed through his fellow comrade's head and into the other's shoulder.

Immediatly, Kadaj reloaded his weapon. He set his eye back on the scope, and rested his crosshair on the target. Now, he was frantic. He didn't want the officer to escape, so he pulled the trigger fast. The bullet passed through the shards of glass still remaining on the window, and into the man's heart. Only moments later, he laid lifeless, a large seared hole in his chest. Kadaj looked up, and just as he did so, the simulation ended. His score was above average, however he was docked points from missing both targets with one shot.

He took the helmet off and rested it upon the simulator. He was still breathing heavy, and silver streaks of hair rested in front of his eyes. He awaited his commandin officer to give the next orders.

Nodding her head as she made a few notes on each prospective sniper on her datapad, Lora continued to move from recruit to recruit as the completed their first simulations. Once all were finished she stood back and barked out another set of orders,

"You have fifteen minutes to get to your rooms, get changed into your PT (Physical Training) uniforms and get to training room Alpha Niner. For the next hour you will be run through your paces in the double gravity chamber. Move!"

She watched the recruits file out of the room, hurrying to their rooms to get changed for their next training sessions. The Sgt would keep an eye on them during the first part of their session while Lora reported to the Admiral.

After they had left the simulator room, Lora made her way to where the Admiral was, ready to report on the first simulator session.

((You are to give two detailed posts of your PT training in double gravity.))

(OOC: The original copy of this post was accidently deleted, therefore this copy was done with half the effort. I apologize.)

The commanding officer had done her check of the simulators thoroughly. She calculated the scores, and was probably sending them up the chain of command. Kadaj wasn't worried at all. His score was great, and he could tell from the look upon the other recruit's faces that they had screwed up. Their next orders were to hurry to their rooms, change into their PT uniforms and meet back in the double-gravity chamber.

The double-gravity chamber is a room where the gravity inside is multiplied. It makes it extremely hard to train in, but an excellent training method nonetheless. Quickly, Kadaj exited the simulator room and down the hall. He entered his room, threw off his clothes, and dressed into his PT uniform in a matter of minutes. He rushed down towards the gravity-chamber by following the signs down the hall. Him, and a few other recruits showed up with haste, yet the commanding officer didn't wait for the others to arrive. She quickly ordered them to commense their jog until new orders.

Kadaj was the first one to begin. He started out at a slow pace, and picked it up along the way. It was almost as though he was running in deep water. It took immense force to move his legs in an even pace to keep his body from shutting down over time. Yet, even though it was hard, he kept pumping his legs and remaining ahead of the other recruits. He wanted to put himself out there; to seperate himself from the group. He didn't want to be placed in a squad, or some place where he couldn't show his full potential out on the field. He wanted to be placed among the best, if not the best.

After a certain amount of laps, he lost count of how many he had ran. He only focused on staying ahead, or staying mobile in that matter. It wasn't long after before his legs began to undergo agonizing pain as though they were gradually falling off. His lungs felt as though they were going to collapse within him. His heart beated as though trying to pound it's way out of his chest. Luckily, the running stopped only moments after he had started to become extremely fatigued. He tried extremely hard not to just collapse onto the ground as some of the other recruits did. He kept his body straight up, and his breathing slow. Yet, that wasn't the end. The commanding officer immediatly set them back into their drills. Their next task was to march their usual pace.

A flicker of pseudomotion marked the arrival of a small ship. This small ship bore the inexorable form of the Sith Master Haphaestus, a being of Imperial status and Dark Side mastery. He made his way to the Imperial structures of Altyr 5 and set down therein.

He had not spent much time here--in fact, he had lingered here only a few hours in his entire history. But now he had time, something he was not opposed to spending in one fashion or another. After all, he had lingered in a castle upon Vjun for thousands of years on the same routine. He had been infinitely patient then, something that faded somewhat with his new form, but still remained partially intact.

Like an extremely long-lived being, he had a long-term view on each situation. Presently, although the Empire was still licking its wounds from Csilla, it was winning the war with successful strikes at Mon Calamari and Sullust and partial success at Gala.

Letting the Dark Side take him through the base, Haphaestus soon found himself passing through the door to the room in which Lora stood, apparently training recruits. A stride into the room he stood and observed, saying nothing.

Kadaj, along with the rest of the recruits, continued their march around the double-gravity chamber. At this point, he and most of the other imperial recruits could barely feel their legs. Kadaj remained in front however, pushing through the pain that struck his body like a plague. Nothing could ease it either, as there was barely any feeling left. He had trained no where near this intensity before; It was taking it's toll.

His main goal was to seperate himself from the rest of the group. To be among the best; The most elite. To get there, he had to take the pain, the agony, and sometimes even defeat. Thats what the Empire was about. It had taken him a long time to get this point, and he wouldn't let a couple of training drills stop him from his goal.

From the corner of his eye, he could see a figure walk in. Upon his entrance, Kadaj felt a strage feeling rush through him. A good feeling. Almost like he was sensing something. Without even looking at the man, he knew he had entered, or he knew he was even on his way. Although it was slight, it was quite potent. He had been told before that he could be force-senstive.

But...could it be true? He thought to himself. He shook his head, and remained his course. He didn't pay much attention to the figure who seemed to be of high rank. Probably a Sith as they call them. That wasn't his goal at the moment. His true motive was holding that sniper rifle in battle, taking aim...and taking glory.

The Force swirled around Haphaetsus, its dark chaos showing the true nature of the galaxy to him. If breath he drew, he would draw it from the darkness, allowing it to permeate his being, as complex as it was, unifying his aspects and bringing fulfillment to his soul, which had been empty for thousands of years.

But then he felt a tremor through this dark cloud and his gaze pierced it, focusing on the soldier that lead the pack of recruits fighting the double gravity. This soldier was different from the others. He was not completely blind to the true nature of the universe.

There was potential there. Haphaestus didn't move.

Arin steps off of the ship in a set of basic clothes, his cloak and other possessions being stripped from him before arrival. He would have them back soon enough, but they mattered little in the grand scheme of things. He was finally in the Imperial base of operations. They had been transported underwater so he could only assume they were on a planet drenched in water, or at the very least one similar to Naboo with the potential to have vast underground cities. That didn't do much to limit what planets he could be on.

His emerald eyes moved from soldier to soldier, observing their stance and equipment. The stance of a storm trooper was the only reliable way to tell anything about the man and it could speak volumes more then many realized. The stance of one could tell of age and experience; ever ready for combat to break out at any second, while the stance of another could tell of arrogance that would be the death of him.

Arin lifted his hand, running his fingers through his short black hair as he waited for the CO to arrive. Most of those around him were obviously here to become fighters in the Empire's Army or pilots in their Navy, but he was here to become a scientist. He was already quite skilled in several fields but was eager to learn more.

Luke looked up when Lora entered his office. "Take a seat Captain." He turned to the ensign standing in front of his desk and nodded. "You are dismissed Ensign, close the door on your way out and tell the receptionist to hold all comms that have come in for me." The ensign saluted then left the room, closing the door tightly on his way out.

Luke enabled the privacy mode in his office and removed several files from a drawer in his desk and set them on top of his desk. "You were a member of an elite squad under the command of one called Slicer?"

Lora saluted, then took the offered seat, sliding a holopad across to the Admiral.

"This is the results of the first set of holo simulations. One recruit is currently ahead of the rest."

She figured she would get that business out of the way before answering his other question. It was still a sore point in some ways.

"Yes I was. That was before he betrayed us."

Her tone was one of disgust that Slicer had shifted alliances to Black Dawn, betraying the Empire.

Luke nodded and looked at the Holopad, examining the records of the sniper training. "Kadja seems to be doing well as do several of the others. However, certain recruits have failed in almost every bit of training" Luke listed off the names of those recruits. "They are to be dealt with at your discretion. However if they are being shipped off planet, their memory must be wiped or ship them off to an Imperial work camp or make their end final.

But those matter may be attended to at another time. Now that we have taken care of that matter. I need to know the extent of your training."

Lora gave a sharp nod in indication that the slackers would be dealt with accordingly.

"I've touched on a lot of aspects. Slicing, programming, repairs, weapons training including sword play, stealth, some languages and have participated in the listed courses in my file. My droid, Sparky, was an old rusty shell when I found him during an exercise. While on the relic side of the scale, he's a capable HK Assassin series Protocol droid. Ancient I know, though I've stripped and assembled him to excellent working order."

=====

The Sergeant in the double gravity training room called the recruits back into ranks. She had noticed the newcomer that had come in to observe the recruits with their PT, though paid him no heed for the moment.

"Alright Recruits. Down on the ground and give me 100 push ups. Move!"

After having given the recruits their next set of exercises she moved over to the newcomer.

"Did you want the recruits for something Sir?"

====

As the new contingent of recruits came in the recruitment Sergeant stepped forward.

"Form up."

As they moved to form up in ranks, the Sergeant turned towards Arin

"That means you too sunshine. Form up!"

They would be marched to the Quartermaster's store for their uniforms and begin basic training that afternoon.

Arin gave the Sergeant a bored gaze from his emerald eyes. He was being forced into the group that held the meat shields that would soon be cut down in the heat of combat. The thought was amusing to say the least and the amusement showed on his face, despite knowing that his CO wouldn't appreciate it.

His family had ensured that he stayed in shape, just as his siblings and parents did. Training with the future stormies wouldn't be any big deal, if anything the training regiment would help him further hone his form before he moved on to the sterile environment that would become his home at this base. He stepped into formation and followed along with the group as they were led to the Quatermaster's store. As they were walking, the man in front of him (Who obviously wasn't very graceful) tripped over his own feet and turned to look at Arin in a rage.

”œYou tripped me!”

Once Kadaj heard the call for pushups, he immediatly responded. Without hesitation, he dropped to his hands. His heart was pumping so hard, it almost felt as though it was hitting his chest. He could see the sweat form a puddle in front of his face, draining from his body. He hit ten in less then 20 seconds, 30 in the next minute. Yet he began to slow down. He could feel the chamber's pull start to take it's toll on him. It was as though he was doing push-ups with an 80 pound weight strapped to his back. Yet despite the pain, and fatigue, he pushed on, knowing that the commanding officer was watching. After all, the first impression is the most important one.

He could see the other recruits start to wine down, deteriate before him, slowly yet gradually collapsing. Their bodies began to fail, give out. But not his, Oh, not his. Kadaj was too determined to let his body give up on him. Nothing would stop him from obtaining what he wanted. From his perspective, pain was weakness leaving the body; And if that's the case, he must of been carrying around alot of weakness. Eventually, his arms really couldn't push up any longer. Frankly, he didn't know how he was still going, or even breathing for that matter. But he did; He refused to stop, even though he had well enough passed the limit, he continued.

There's always got to be one who thinks they know it all the Sergeant that was in charge of the group of recruits Arin was in, thought to herself. Orders had come down from the CO to treat them all the same no matter what they thought they were going to be doing. They were still under the Emperor and what he said was law.

The Sergeant strode along the line, seeing a dispute between a couple of recruits. She was at the side of the two recruits in an instant, her hands shooting out to grab the ear of the recruit that was doubling over as well as as the ear of the one that had struck him.

"You two recruits will learn the meaning of being in the Empire. We are here to fight the Alliance, not each other."

She threw both of them down to the ground, giving them a firm order, "I want 50 push ups from both of you right now!"

If either of them were to wonder about the female Sergeants strength, they would have been surprised to find that she had been enhanced by nanites. A common enhancement among some.

=====

"Alright, on your feet recruits" the order came from the Sergeant in the double gravity room.

"For the next two hours you have time to hit the showers, get changed into your regular uniform and have a meal. Use the remainder of that time to study as you will be in the simulators again two hours from now with a different scenario. You will find a manual in each of your rooms on the new set of mobile armor and sniper weaponry and what their capabilities are. You will be tested in the simulators and assignments will be given after those results. I expect you all to be back at training room Alpha Niner Zero at 1300hrs."

Her eyes traveled over each of the recruits, notes having been taken and immediately sent to the Captain's datapad.

"Recruits... Dismissed"

((Kadaj - I want two posts on your studying the manual - use your imagination on which weapon you are assigned and also for the mobile armored suit - along the guidelines of one with a jet pack built into it and of high technology.

Arin - until your "CO" decides to post, your stuck with the regular training make the most of it ))

After all that had happened, it appeared that the Empire wasn't near as efficient or smart as they liked to make others think they were. They were no longer the group that inspired fear throughout the Galaxy; they were merely the bully on the playground that no one had the guts to stand up to. They weren't smart, they weren't fast, but they were strong. It was a minor disappointment, to be perfectly honest, but it was okay as he knew by the end of his stay here the little girl that had just ”˜thrown' him to the ground would be dead.

Arin began the pushups, starting off quickly and slowing down near the end. Once all fifty had been completed he stood up, offered the woman a mock salute and spoke out of turn.

”œThose fifty push ups are going to help the Empire not get its ass spanked again like it did at Csilla!”

Haphaestus watched as the trainees left the room, standing off to the side of the doorway and perceiving things quietly, his tall, dark, armored figure completely unmoving, stone-like and yet seemingly omniscient. He was waiting for a certain being....

When Kadaj went through the doorway, Haphaestus followed him for a single long stride, then reached out with the Dark Side of the Force. Kadaj found himself pulled off his feet and in the opposite direction that he had been heading.

Haphaestus set the new Imperial back down on his feet facing him. "I am excusing you from your duties. Follow me." His voice was somewhat unlike one would expect. Instead of being dark and flat, it was expressive in a very measured, regulated way, each tone given its proper inflection and length.

Saying no more, the Imperial Inquisitor turned on his heel and, with the flutter of his cloak, was heading down the hallway. He was completely soundless somehow despite wearing armor plating and wearing a cloak that fluttered as it trailed behind him, its own sounds somehow muted.

He reached a suitable room for his purposes, a storeroom likely filled with weapons, explosives, and other munitions and entered it. In a few long strides he was in the center, and there he stood, once again completely still, his helmet masking any facial expression he might bear, his posture undescribable without using the term "intimidating", but not in a loud way. It was more passive, more akin to the fear a corpse mounted on the wall would sponsor than that of a charging gundark.

"Sit, student." He said this as Kadaj entered the room, but indicated no place in particular upon which to do so.

Finally, they were being sent out of the double-gravity chamber. Nearly his entire body was drenched in sweat, and his muscles ached from what seemed beyond redemption. Yet he still stood strong, ready for the next task. After all the recruits picked themselves up from their backs, the commanding officer sent them to do a different kind of work. He, and the rest of the imperial recruits exited the room and took a walk down the hallway.

It was odd though. Kadaj still felt that strange feeling as he passed the mysterious figure that was standing alongside his commanding officer. He could feel him; It wasn't strong, but he felt that no matter where he went within the vicinity, he knew exactly where the figure was. He didn't say anything to him though. He didn't want him to mistaken it as disrespect. He didn't care about it that much anyway.

However, something strange hit Kadaj just as he was heading down the hall. A strange feeling engulfed his body. It felt as though he was being pulled, and only a few moments later, he was. His entire body jerked back, and he nearly fell onto his back. When he regained his balance, he looked forward, and the same figure was standing there. Kadaj didn't know what to think. Was he in trouble? Has he done something wrong? He had no clue. However what he did know now was the figure was surely a Sith, or some type of force-user in that matter.

Kadaj did not show any fear however, despite the fact that the figure was extremely intimidating. A sigh of relief exited through Kadaj's mouth as he told him he was relieving him of his current tasks, and ordered him to follow. So, Kadaj did without question. He followed the mysterious figure down a seperate hall and into a room that appeared to be some type of weapons cache. He told Kadaj to sit down, yet when he peered around, there was nothing to sit upon. Strange, but he would follow orders. Kadaj took a seet upon the ground, his back slightly against the wall. He wanted to speak up, but couldn't muster enough curiosity or will to do it. He only awaited patiently.

Luke nodded grabbing a pen and a piece of paper. He quickly wrote about a future task that he might soon have for her. "Read that, memorize it and destroy it. No one other then the two of us are to know about this. You have done well in the short time you have been in my command, continue and I may reward you with your own command. Oh by the way, I wish to see this droid you speak of. "

Then he slowly stood, signaling her in an unspoken manner that she was dismissed. He moved to the door and opened it for her as she left.

Looking at the piece of paper, Lora gave no indication of the contents as she memorized and destroyed it. She nodded her head with regards to showing him Sparky.

"I'll do that Sir."

Lora threw a sharp salute and turned about, only getting two steps out of his office before she received two comm calls. The first was about a disruption with a couple of the recruits at the Quartermaster's Store, the second was with regards to the sniper training group. It seemed that someone had excused one of the recruits - Kadaj - from the duties set for him.

Lora turned about again, seeing that the Admiral had heard her comm messages.

"Did you give permission for someone to take one of my snipers Sir? No one spoke to me about it before taking him."

Haphaestus watched Kadaj sit on the floor against the wall. We have much to learn, don't we? he thought in regard to this trainee. He sits against the wall, a much more comfortable position than out in the open. How dreadfully weak.

The Sith Master, still standing, gazed down at the sniper. Skipping any preamble, Haphaestus began. "If you are to learn the ways of the Dark Side of the Force, you must abandon all want of comfort, fear of pain and death, and forget any life you had before.

"You will face greater trials than any of those in the group of trainees you just left, and your training will be all but ceaseless. You will suffer and you will grow stronger. In the end, you will realize the true potential of an Imperial sniper with training in wielding the Dark Side of the Force."

Haphaestus took a step closer to Kadaj, making the man crane his neck to look up at him. "Stand. Leave this room, or let these trials I speak of begin. Choose without hesitation, or failed you have already."

Throwing a sharp salute, Lora turned about once more, this time heading to see the Sergeant she had left in charge of the snipers. She found out some information with regards to the figure that had stood in on the double gravity PT and that the recruit had been taken by him. Leaving the Sergeant to get on with the next exercise she'd set the other recruits, Lora headed to the security center to pull up some footage. Recording it to a datapad, she headed to sort out the recruits at the Quartermaster's store.

She arrived just in time to hear the snide remark one of the recruits made to the Sergeant in charge.

"Think you're smart do you? What's your name recruit?"

The young Captain stared at Arin, her cold blue eyes showing that she meant business, her voice deceptive as she questioned him.

"You think your so smart, tell me the reason behind basic training."

Arin, with his mouth slightly open in a smile, looked to the lady that had just arrived. Her eyes were cold and if the eyes were truly a window into the soul then he felt bad for the militaristic woman. She was obviously quite serious with her question, but she was hardly intimidating.

”œTo put a little discipline into a humble scientist such as myself, Sir!”

Everything about the young Captain was deceptive. While she couldn't hide her exotic looks, she had long ago learned to hide her true nature of her species. The second skin she wore saw to part of that. The Firrerreon girl was skilled in many different ways. Giving off a false persona was just one of the things she did well. What she really wanted to do was leave this whole training recruits thing for something more worthy of her own skills. Training others was very boring for her, she would much rather be doing something else entirely. But currently that wasn't to be. Lora turned her attention back to the recruit.

"Wrong answer. The Emperor doesn't care that you're a humble scientist. You're here to learn how to work in a team, just like everyone else here. Complete basic training and then you can go back to your laboratory. Teamwork, Recruit. Teamwork. Everyone here takes orders from the Emperor himself. What he says goes. Disobey his orders and you will pay for it dearly."

Sarcasm laced some of her comments, the woman's annoyance over having to deal with recruits that didn't want to be there, briefly showing through the icy facade before it was hidden behind the steely exterior.

She stepped back from the two troublesome recruits, speaking quietly with the Sergeant who ordered the other recruit's removal for suitable punishment for starting the fracas. A message was sent through for the Emperor with regards to what he wanted done with this scientist. Until then he was to prove he could work in a team as the recruits were sent to the obstacle course. This course had a twelve foot wall where they had to use teamwork to get over it along with some of the other obstacles.

ooc: post going thru the obstacle course etc. Sorry, my creativity has taken a leave of absence.

Kadaj was a little dissapointed with himself. He knew he was stronger then that, but his mind must of blanked. The Sith looked down upon him, and told him what he must do. Kadaj knew his decision even before he asked..

Team work wasn't all it was cracked up to be and if she was ever going to truly ascend through the ranks she'd know that. Working together could provide serious benefits, but at the same time there were those that were merely bogged down by others working alongside of them. Learning team work had nothing to do with taking orders from the Emperor, but apparently she was trying to connect the two and had failed. Maybe it was his order that everyone, even scientists that could be put to better use somewhere else, learn to work as a team?

Never the less, he'd run the paces just to get past this area and appease the ones that were, currently, higher ranked then him. Due to the fact that Lora's writer didn't post much on the obstacle course combined with the fact that Arin's writer didn't know much of anything about them, he ran the course without too much trouble or detail until the group arrived at the wall. He looked up at it with a calm disposition. Normally it would be no trouble for him to over come alone, but he was trying to....avoid standing out at this place, so he opted to merely focus ”˜working as a team.'

He put his hands out and bent a knee, interlocking his fingers and lifting the soldiers that stepped onto his hands up. He was able to lift them up high enough, with only moderate trouble, so that they could grab onto the top of the wall and pull themselves up and over. A few other soldiers were doing the same until he was the last one left on this side. He reached up, grabbing a soldiers hand and then the top of the wall to pull himself over. All of them had completed the course, but it obviously had taken more of a toll on several of the recruits.
