"Yes, this exercize is very much related to the chair on Wayland. Remember that when you sense the Force, you are sensing living things. In reality, however, even inanimate objects are subject to the same sensitivity, since layers of the midichlorians are practically everywhere. The Force is everywhere."

Sahv stared at the rock before him.

"I can sense this rock. I don't mean by virtue of my ability to see it, though that is useful. More useful is the ability to sense it in those distant background layers of existence, those subtle vibrations of extence, echoes in the blackness of what otherwise would be nothing."

Sahv concentrated on the rock. He'd levitated much bigger objects, but as the old saying goes, 'size matters not.' With the will of his mind, he send a burst of energy toward the pocket of Force surrounding the rock, penetrating the rock. It lifted upward, slowly. It moved across, just as slowly, and hovered over the bag. Sahv let the rock down, and it finally came to a rest.

"That's one. You give it a try now."

Cal listened and watched as Sahv moved the rock into the bag. Now it was his turn. He tried to think back to what he had learned on Wayland with the chair. The first step was to clear his mind and stretch out with his feelings. This had been a difficult task for him on Wayland but this time he found it to be a bit easier. Cal closed his eyes, quieted his mind, and focused on the small chisel.

The chisel became a very vivid object in his mind while all others became a blur. Cal reached out with his hand as if to physically pick up the chisel. He could almost feel the wooden handle between his fingers. The chisel began to shake and slide around on the surface of the table. Cal dove deeper into the blackness that Sahv had discussed.

The blade of the chisel slowly lifted off of the table. Cal felt like he had it in his hand and was picking it up normally. Gradually the back end of the chisel lifted with the blade and the tool became completely airborne. Cal maintained his concentration. Sweat dripped from his brow and his hand shook with the effort that he was exerting.

The chisel drifted over just above the open bag and dropped from the air. It fell into the bag and created a clanking noise as its cool steel hit the rock at the bottom of the sack. Cal dropped his hand and grabbed his knees like a runner does after a race. Moving the chisel had taken a great amount of effort for the young padawan, but he was satisfied and he believed that his master would be also. For the time being he had conquered his fear of failure.

"You did fine. We will work on that again later, but for now, lets see to those crystals."

Sahv took the small cloth with his hand and placed it in the bag. Handing it to Cal, the two departed the ship and left for the complex of caves which Sahv had come to know when he first came to Ilum. The weather was brutally cold and windy, but it was no deterent to the two seekers of the Force which penetrated the icy plain.

Coming to an area which was elevated, Sahv searched his senses and knew it to be the place where many crystals had been formed. He looked for an entrance, and finally found one, an overcropping under which the black rock formed an entrance to a cave.

"Over here!" He yelled through the blistering wind.

Once inside, Sahv unzipped the part of the huge coat which shielded his face. Moving in farther, he could sense that the Force was strong. He turned to Cal...

"There are some places where the Force seems to feel stronger than in others. This is caused by various factors, mainly when there is a user of the Force present. However, traces of the Force can remain where there has been a stong Force signature, or manifestations of the Force itself -- as in these crystals -- can emit a strong Force signature. Can you sense anything?"

The question was meant to be rhetorical, and Sahv turned to continue down a dark corridor...

Cal did indeed feel the presence of something strange within the cave but he did not answer Sahv's question. Instead he simply followed his master down the dark corridor.

The Jedi Knight and his padawan made their way through the dark damp cave. A mist lingered at their feet and the sound of dripping water could be heard echoing throughout the cave. The strange sensation became stronger in Cal's mind with every step he took. He stuck close to his master not wanting to get lost in the darkness.

A strange glow from up ahead in the cave cast light on the walls around the two adventurers. Cal noticed strange inscriptions on the walls that seemed to depict Jedi. Cal wasn't sure if they were decoration or if they had some deeper meaning.

"Sahv, what are these writings on the walls? Do they have any signifigance?"

Sahv put his hand up against the engravings in the wall. They were highlighted by a small glow emanating from the adjacent room, to the left.

"Very interesting, indeed." He told himself. "We are not the first ones here, my apprentice. These caves have been the site of pilgrimages of Jedi for generations, remember. I would not be suprised if this very cave has been visited ten times. There certainly have been enough Jedi throughout the ages that each cave complex in this ridge of mountains should have been visited once or twice."

Sahv looked upon the figures on the wall. There was an ancient writing, in some unkown language.

"I have seen these forms before." He remembered his time on Ossus with Kirana Sunrider and the late Dashel Illioni. The words were probably providing some context to the drawings below, but Sahv knew what they meant. A trio of human figures were carrying what appeared to be rocks, and extending their arm forward. Sahv looked to his right.

There, sitting peacefully on the wall, were embedded an array of blue and green crystals. Their ends stuck out, letting the Jedi see their location. Sahv reached out through the Force, and a mild flash of low light began to give them a better view of the room. The light of the Force was literally being emitted by the crystals.

Sahv gave a glance toward his padawan, indicating that this was indeed what they had been looking for. He took out his old chisel and began knocking away at one of the blue crystals.

"Cal. It will take a certain degree of precision afforded by the Force to properly extract a crystal. Take your time, we have plenty of it. I am taking a blue crystal because I have found harmony in that particular color. I have spent much time reflecting on both green and blue crystals. I suggest you get the two colors, and do the same. The crystal contributes its color to the lightsaber, to name one thing of many. Later, if you wish, you may come back to retrieve more crystals; there do exist other colors. For now, we will take from this node of blue and green crystals. Take your time."

Cal watched as Sahv extracted a crystal taking note of how to perform the procedure. When his master was finished Cal took the chisel and eyed the formations on the wall. The crystals glowed brightly. The strange sensation that Cal had felt earlier had grown stronger than ever before, and he believed that it was affecting him in some way. He felt as he usually did during the middle of one of his training sessions with Sahv. Cal felt as if he could sense everything around him.

He moved towards the crystals and reached out to touch them. They sent a great surge of power through his body causing his eyes to roll back into his head. The chisel dropped to the ground and suddenly Cal was caught in the middle of another vision...

He found himself making his way down a long dark hallway. He seemed to be in a massive underground temple. Large pillars held up the ceilings, torches lined the walls, and statues of what appeared to be ancient Jedi stood in between each pillar.

Cal made his way down the hall and into a great vaulted room. There was a bridge extending from the hallway, crossing an abyss, and leading to a platform in the center of the room. On the platform stood another even larger statue of a woman holding a sword which Cal recognized as the sword he had found aboard his ship.

He felt a great sense of danger, but he disregarded it and made his way across the bridge to the platform. In front of the statue sat a woman levitating a few feet above the ground. She seemed vaguely familiar. Her eyes shot open and she looked up at Cal,

"Hello young one. You are embarking on a great path and will soon be faced with many difficult choices," she said with her cold tongue, "You feel the power permeating from the stones. You enjoy the power, and you will soon begin to thirst for it. When you are ready you will cast aside your Jedi ways and join me."

As she said this her eyes began to glow red and Cal began to tremble with fear.

"It is good that you are afraid. Your fear will give you strength. Embrace it!" said the woman now standing in front of Cal. "Take the stones as your pathetic 'master' directs you to. Take them and feed off of their power. When you are ready I will contact you again."

The woman turned and sat back down; re-entering her meditation. Cal still stood before her not knowing what to think or do. His only thought was to run. He crossed back over the bridge and made his way up the hallway and into the darkness.

He opened his eyes and looked around. Sahv looked puzzled, but Cal did not say anything. He merely bent over, picked up the chisel, and took two of the powerful stones as he had been directed, one green and one blue.

His hands were still shaking but he forced a smile as he said to his master, "OK, that's what we came for isn't it? You ready to go?"

Sahv stood eyeing the crystal he had just extracted. "Yes, very nearly."

He took a cloth and rubbed it against the grainy surface of the object. Pieces of black rock still clunk to the larger crystal. It would take time, but eventually after much cleaning and fine-tuning it would reveal its true shape. He held it in his hand, and closed his fingers around it.

"There is much power here, Cal. We must be careful not to become dependent on it, however. Yes, I am ready to depart."

As the two went back up to the cave's exit, Sahv spoke of the brilliance of the cave, and of what it held. He mentioned about how he was intrigued by the Force's manifestations, whether they be literal or secondary, through written accounts by Jedi or artwork or holocrons. "There is so much to explore..." he ended with just before they entered the cold exterior.

They made their way to the Myddrin, and spent some time collecting themselves before departing for space.

"Cal, you will need to explore the crystal before it can be put to use in a lightsaber. By that, I mean, you must meditate upon it. Explore its inner core, the matrix of energy that exists to form it."

The ship lifted off into space, after a swift upward blast from its engines...

Scorp gently brought his ship down through the atomsphere and landed on the glittering surface of Ilum. He could fell the Force strongly here.

He opened the hatch and grabbed the supplies pre-gathered before this mission. Then placing them all in a bag he and his padawan exited near the mouth of a cave teeming with the force. He handed the bag to his padawan.

"Now is the time for you to create you own lightsaber. The knowledge to craft one has already been imparted to you.

You must enter that cave and find your crystal.

The crystal is the heart of the blade.

The heart is the crystal of the Jedi.

The Jedi is the crystal of the Force.

The Force is the blade of the heart.

All are intertwined:

The crystal,The blade,The Jedi.

You are one.

When you eneter that cave you may be assulted by the Dark side you may not. Perhaps you will have a vision perhaps not. You must prepare yourself mentally as well as physically for the daunting task ahead of you. You must seek out through the force the crystal to build your lightsaber. You have all you need and you may begin when ready. On a lighter note all weilding tools have allready been put in the bag."

Scorp gave a smile as he handed Achzet the bag full of lightsaber parts he had gotten.

"oh and one more thing I will also be building a new lightsaber therfore I will not be able to watch over you. May the force be with you."

With That Scorp took a step back and smiled once more before walking toward a single small cave. One where he had found his crystal. One where he hoped to find a simliar crystal. Later perhaps he could join the two together. He would leave room for it.

Achzet concentrated on the force. He let it take over his mind and body. He lost himself in it. He let it guide him.

Achzet walked into the cave. The force was very strong in the cave. He looked at the walls of the cave and they were lined with crystals. Achzet knew that he wanted a blue one. He found a small group of blue ones and concentrated on them. The force was telling him which one he should take.

Then, it pointed him in a different direction. It pointed him to a different area of the cave. He walked in the direction the force was telling him to go. It seemed as if a specific crystal were calling him to it. He walked over to it and picked it up.

This will be my crystal for my saber.

Achzet walked into a small area of the cave and began his construction.

Scorp silenlty stooped in the deep chamber that he had once again found himself. It wasn't hard for him to select a cyan crystal. For they were the kind he knew how to make. And had in a way his own little plot of cyan crystals. Laying his hand on one he plucked it. Conentrating on the force as well as laying down some special materials to crystalize. He began to coaxing of another cyan crystal to form in it's place. Then he began to search for another force senstive crystal. He had yet to make one himself. They were... rare. So rare that the crystal he had, had before was the only one he had every felt a strong signature from. However... it seemed things had, had time to grow since his absence. Closing his eyes he followed his feeling to the source. A smaller crystal than his last one stood tall. this crystal drew to him but at the same time he could tell it drew to the crystal he used to have as well.

"I will reunite the both of you."

Plucking it he began to coax it a little as he set to work making a new double bladed cyan saber.

After much work he had another one hanging at his side. Fully functional and the only thing missing from it was one crystal.. the crystal from his old saber. Standing up he dusted the ice that had formed off his shoulders. Then quielty he walked to his ship and mediated to watch his padawan's progress.

Achzet picked up his pack and removed the tools and the materials. He took the handgrip for his saber and the activation stud plate and began to attach it to the saber. After he was completed with that task, he then attached the safety switch that could save his life if he needed it to. He picked up the emitter matrix that would help the blue blade come to life and used his fusion cutter to place it and secure it on. He then, picked up his crystal and aligned it internally so it would hopefully create the magnificent blade. He attached the power cell to it, along with the power conduit. Using his fusion cutter once more, he attached the recharge socket to the saber. Achzet began to work on attaching the hinge to the middle of the saber that would alow it to split. Achzet finished it and picked up the saber.

Looking at the magnificent black and blue saber he placed his hand on it. He pushed on the activation switch. It activated, but only on one side. Then, Achzet realized that he had forgotten to get another crystal for his saber's other end.

He quickly ran over to the wall that his other crystal was on. The force guided him to one and he picked it up. He then ran back to his saber and opened it back up. He aligned the crystal with the other and closed it with his fusion cutter.

He activated the switch and two blue blades slid out of the emitter.

It was the happiest day of his life. He truly was a jedi. He picked it up and began to swing it around. Observing the blade's movements, he was proud.

He walked back to the ship and awaited his master's arrival. He stood up and began to spar with himself.

Scorp shook the frost that had accomulated on his person.

"A little happy there eh. Perhaps since you are so eager we can find you a sparring partner to try it out on. Get use to the saber on the return trip. "

Jumping inside of his ship he watched Achzet get aboard and then blasted away for coursant.

Deep within the ice caves of Illum, there is a great amount of activity. All by himself, jedi padawan Anakin Skywalker II works intently on his own lightsaber.

Almost finished, I just have to search for the perfect crystals.

Going deeper into the cave, Anakin eventually locates a nest of blue agedarian crystals. Using his fusion cutter, he carefully cuts off a 2 small crystals. Inserting the crystals into double-bladed lightsaber and sealing it up, the saber is complete.

Anakin Skywalker II, your post is nulled... you can not find and create your own lightsaber without going thought the academy and being trained as a Jedi/Sith and having a master instruct you in creating/building a lightsaber...

Read the rules of the RP, and the RP Primer for Newbies... you have no force powers other then basic instincts until you have been trained in the ways of the force...

Ilum had always been a planet strong in the Force. The Force flowed through the mines and the mountains of Ilum almost as if they were not there. As the Force slid through the rock and snow, it left an imprint upon each and every crystal it touched. This is what called to the young Jedi who came here to construct their lightsabers. Each crystal called out to a specific presence in the Force. This effect almost seemed to give the impression that the crystals themselves were alive.

But these crystals were not the reason a lone man had come to Ilum. Although he would need these special crystals to construct a new lightsaberm his lightsaber was not his reason for traveling to this Outer Rim world. What had brought him here a force unkown to the Jedi and foreign to him. While he healed inside the bacta tank on Coruscant, two spirits had whipsered to him of this place and how he had been chosen from among the rest of the Jedi to become a member of the Shekinah Order. While in slumber aboard his starfighter, Azrael had opened his connection to the Force to try and understand why the Force was sending him through these different trials.

The world of Ilum lay peacefully below him as his crimson and grey starfighter flew amongst the falling snow. Although his eyes could not show him the simple beauty that lied within a snowflake, his mind and the Force could show him the true beauty of the Force that lie behind each flake. Each piece of powder was a piece of artowkr, carefully deisgned by the Force to show the people that true beauty was not in the complex paintings of droid and people, but within the simplicity of nature.

As Azrael angled his fighter towards a small open area, he began to feel small tugs in the air. The more he tried to pull his ship back oncourse, the harder the wind blew the other way. At last relenting tothe power of nature, Azrael felt his ship veer sharply toward the mountains. He could feel the Force radiating from each of the mountains like a beacon. One mountain in particular stood out amongst the others. While the others were simple allowed the Force to flow through them, it pulsed, sending out waves of sapphire against the grey of the others. It seemed to call Azrael toward it.

Taking control of his ship once again, Azrael plotted a course toward that very mountain. If he was going to find out why the Force was bringing him here, it would be best to start at the strongest source. With a small thud he rought his Interceptor to the ground and raised the cover. AS his fete landed in the snow, he heard a voice whispering in his head.

Complete your weapon. You will need it.

The snow covering his feet seemed warm through his boots and this fact confused the young Jedi. Snow was frozen water so should it not be cold. And the deeper he went into the cave, the warmer the snow became. Reaching out with the Force, Azrael felt two crystals on the ground. They shined like lights in the Force, beckoning to him. Kneeling down in the snow, Azrael began constructing his new lightsaber.

A black Nubian ship popped out of hyperspace over the frozen world of Ilum. It descended into the atmosphere, and landed gently, standing out in stark contrast to the brilliant white of the snow. Sirvani grabbed a small bag. Inside, she placed all of the parts she would need to create a new lightsaber. She found pleasure in the fact that she could choose which parts to use, completely customizing her hilt. Her last saber had been made from parts supplied for her by her master, and while they were perfect, she liked the fact that her creativity could take it's turn.

Finally, she placed the bag in the main hold of the ship and grabbed a thick coat. Ilum was too cold for her tastes, but instead of going to Korriban to get her crystals, she felt compelled to come here. Making sure the ship was secure, she tightened her coat around her, and headed out into the blinding, continous snowstrom that raged over Ilum's surface without end.

***

((Edit 1/4 to avoid double post))

Opening herself to the Force, the Sith Lord continued to traverse the frozen plains of Ilum. It felt different than it used to, she realized. The Force had not mellowed in intensity, but she felt like she was more of an individual now than a pawn being controlled by the dark side of the Force.

Suddenly, she heard something. A voice, a sound, a cry in the Force that was non-sentient. That was what she had come here to hear, and she changed her route so that she was going in the correct direction.

It didn't take long for her to arrive at the cave. She stepped inside, immediately thankful for respite from the bitter cold and harsh wind. It was warm inside, and she could feel her extremities start to thaw out as she moved through it. The air was still, and there was no sound but for the steady drip of water somewhere in the cave. All around her were crystals, glittering in the dim light.

Finding a large concentration of them, Sirvani lowered herself to the ground. Opening herself up to the Force, she searched for the two that were destined to become a part of her new lightsaber, and through that, a part of her. The Force raged and stormed as fierce as the snowstorm outside the cave, but she felt as if it were distanced from her a bit. A simple detour would put her right back in the middle of it, but a longer detour in a different direction would go to a place she had only felt once before. A 'glance' in that direction showed no storm, nothing threatening to rip her apart at any moment...there was only stillness, calm, and healing. But that direction lacked the awesome power and strength of the storm side. It was as if two paths lay before her. She knew which one she should choose--it was ingrained into her, through training, her upbringing, and everything that she had been through. But there was something about the other side that beckoned to her. A freedom of sorts, from the constant struggle to keep the darkness under control.

But did she have to choose? Sirvani knew what many would say--there is no in-between. There is light, and there is dark. But she was on neither of those paths at the moment, and she was doing fine. I think it's because I have not chosen that I do not need to choose.

The thought would have been strange coming from her lips, but in her own mind, it made sense. Others who had chosen their side clearly in their minds were always afraid of the middle ground. It was too close, they said, to the other side, and they would constantly have to be on their guard. But for Sirvani, there was no danger in her going either way. She was used to the dark side, but there was nothing wrong in her mind with the light either. So it was that she strayed towards the middle.

I will never be a Jedi, she thought, but am I really a Sith? I suppose I am, at least in title. But I am not as dedicated to the dark side as, say, Kakuto Ryu. I know he and others would say that is a weakness, and I'm sure I would have felt the same way in the past. But is it truly? Or is it a sign of strength, to have looked at both sides and come away accepting merely the Force as a whole?

At this though, the Force flared up inside two sister crystals, and Sirvani reached out and clasped them in her hands. One was a pure, solid diamond, as white as the snow that covered the planet. The other was a deep black. She smiled. To have such opposing crystals in her lightsaber would symbolize her perfectly. Slipping them into her pocket, she stood and turned just in time to see a specter of a red Twi'lek appear before her, followed by another, who looked the same except for a slightly swollen belly. The first wore a look of scorn, while the other looked so content, that it made Sirvani wonder if such a happiness could exist.

Before she could address the specters, the first one spoke.

***

((Edit 1/6...there is no one here...))

"You fool," the first specter spat in Sirvani's voice. "Why? Have you lost your senses completly? Giving up everything that you worked and struggled for, for nothing?!? You are powerful, and that power is only the beginning! I am the Dark Lord of the Sith!"

Sirvani waited for the 'Dark Lord Sirvani' to finish her tirade. She knew that these were specters of what the future might bring, depending on the path that she chose.

"From every corner of the galaxy, the name Darth Anathema is feared. I have complete control. Everything that I have ever desired is mine. I need no one, and anyone I want to serve me, does unquestioningly. The Sith have wiped out the puny Jedi, and dominate under my leadership. Our leadership. All of this is only a whisper away. Take control of your destiny, and let this future come to be!!"

Anathema stopped at that, letting Sirvani think about it. Part of her had been aroused at the specter's words. She looked at Anathema and saw her darkest desires fulfilled...but then the other specter spoke.

"Sirvani," the voice was calm and rich. "It is true that all of that would be yours. But is that what you really desire? I am Sirvani Skywalker. If you decide to follow the light side, it will not be an easy path you tread. But it will be the life of meaning and purpose." The ghost placed her hands on her rounded belly and gave Sirvani a look of such pure joy that it tugged at her heartstrings. "This little one that I am carrying gives me purpose, and makes me happier than I had ever thought possible. So does my daughter, and my husband. We have a rich life, full of the peace that the Force offers freely. I have not given anything up...just recieved tenfold. But it is your choice. Either Anathema, or me."

The two specters then vanished simultaniously, leaving the red twi'lek alone in the dim light given off by the crystals. She sat there for a long time, lost in thought. The first image was how she had always thought she would end up eventually. It showed what her childhood dreams had wrought, and even when she had begun her training as a Sith, it had been her personal ambition. But something had happened that she had not intended or expected. She had fallen in love...and that had made all the difference. It was because of John that she was even here right now, faced with this dilemna.

But what was it that she truly desired? Her mind whirled around and around. Anger... pain... revenge... peace... chaos... harmony... power... truth... deceit... dominance... justice.... compassion... peace... peace... peace...

Her mind was made up, and suddenly, the world looked a little bit brighter. The turmoil cleared from her mind, although she knew it would not be gone for good. And in that moment, on a non-physical plane, she moved a step closer to the other side.

Standing, Sirvani forced herself to smile. It felt strange, but not completely so. Making sure she still had her light and dark crystals, she headed back out into the storm.

It didn't take her long to get back to her ship, and once there, she took off her heavy coat and sat down on the floor of her living compartment. Taking out her bag of parts, she carefully began to construct her new lightsaber.

Time was nothing in the small world where Azraels spirit resided. By simply wishing it, he could watch himself construct his lightsaber. His hands swiftly and gracefuly manuvered themselves around the hilt of his weapon. Every addition was made with the utmost care, as if creating a masterful work of art. The hilt held little resemblance to his earlier work. The previous lightsaber had been an experiment with his abilities. Its design has been clumsy and random. Now Azrael was exerting far more control over the shape his lightsaber took. The bottom of the ssaber was left spotless, and an activation block placed slightly above. Above the block was a grip designed to allow more strength to folow from the wielder to the blade. The tip of the hilt had been cut away leaving a small amount of hilt to act as a blade guard. It was truly a weapon of great magnificense.

The Wayfarer knew this lightsaber was an extension of his very soul as he reached out towards the twin crystals in the snow. As his touched them, they began to glow with an inner light, casting a sapphire shadow against the cave wall. Using the Force to guude each crystal into place, Azrael waits for that familiar feeling, telling him the construction is complete. After placing the emitter matrix in place above the final crystal, he felt a small tug in the Force, indicating his lightsaber was complete. Releasing his hold over the Force, he allowed the lightsaber to fall from the air. Hearing the crunch of the snow, Azrael propped himself on one foot and called his lightsaber to his hand. Bringing himself to full height, the young Jedi slid his thumb along the activation plate and waited. Listening tot he sounds within the lightsaber, he heard sparks fall from the blade tip. Then within seconds, he heard the snap-hiss and he felt the blade come alive. His lightsaber was active. The sapphire blue blade thrummed as Azrael waved it through the snow filled air leaving merely the smell of burnt ozone.

Disengaging the blade, Azrael hooks it to his belt and turns toward the darkness in the cave. With a renewed confidence, AZrael began to make his way into the depths of the cave once more.

It didn't take long for the outer shell of the lightsaber to be completed. Sirvani laced the handle with a time gold wire, which complemented the blue casing and black grip perfectly.

Then, she carefully placed the crystals in their place and lowered herself into a trance...carefully nudging everything into place with the Force and making final connections with the blade to ensure that it would work...

When she removed herself from the trance, it was a good two days later. She was surprised...normally it took longer than that to make the saber work. Standing, she took a deep breath, and hit the ignition. A long, silver blade sprang forth. Sirvani smiled. It reminded her of her last saber, which shared the silvery hue. She then twisted a switch on the handle, testing her dual-phase quality that she had installed. The blade extended, and turned a deep glowing grayish-black.

Impressed and satisfied, Sirvani clipped it to her belt and headed to the cockpit. After the ship was warmed up, she lifted off the snowy world and headed home.

A poor crystal farmer sits aside his R2 Unit that holds the day's harvest. The sun shimmers on the glistening snow, creating a glare that shines light on the aging mans face.

As if he had looked into that same sunrise his entire life - the man flinches not, not even effected by the bright sunspot that rises into the sky.

"Bleep Bleep Bloop Bloop" the metallic R2 unit screeches at its Master.

"Just thinking of the past, that's all AD-1." the man says sitting on a fallen tree stump, his loyal droid sitting next to him. The two understood each other greatly... almost as if the droid could read his mind, he continued the conversation.

"Bleep Bleep Bleep.... Bloooop" the droid states. Dragging out the last metallic word from its invisible mouth stressing the seriousness of the question.

"Yes, I was thinking of her. Now, enough with the questions already, old friend" the droids persistence was thick, as it continued with another question. Before the droid can finish its statement the Crystal Farmer speaks again...

"It is not my place to seek another learner. If the force wishes it, it will bring a youngling to me. That was our agreement, now come along."

The Master says as he rises from his stump. The droid rolls closely behind him as the two head towards the sunrise, a new day... a new beginning in store for them both.

OOC: Pardon the double post. Just carrying on, getting used to writing again.

IC:

The lone farmer pushes through the icy climate towards the only other place he has known for the past years he has lived here. To and from, every day, like an ant that marches in line... he takes the same dangerous path through the valley of glaciers.

Though he doesn't acknowledge it, he takes this path with reason. Almost as if he wishes, no... hopes, that danger finds him once again.

This is the life of this farmer - this is the life that he lives. The mechanical droid that follows close behind him bleeps, complaining the whole way home, just as he always does. Repetition makes you good at something. As good as the droid was at complaining his master was just as good at managing to ignore him the entire way home.

*The farmer stands at the top of the hill where a small lonely path laid cut beneath his feet. At the top of this hill, you can see the clear path below; though it is a beautiful sight to see... it is as equally as dangerous. Too many passers see its beauty in the magnificent colors that shine from the sun reflecting off the clear ice, but too often do they ignore the peaks that seem to cut the skyline. When the wind blows into the valley a loud howling noise can be heard, it screeches loud enough to make your ears bleed if they weren't already frozen.*

"whooooo... whooooooo...." The R2 unit sighs now standing next to the farmer who had paused to gaze at the valley they would soon pass through. The R2's tone had moved from an angry beep to a frightened one.

The farmer looks down at the droid who gazes into the valley. "Don't be afraid A.D.-1 ... we take this path every day... its just a little darker outside than normal... that's all. Come along now." The farmer says gesturing his hand in a forward motion, taking his first step down the steep hillside he had cut so long ago.

The two cascade down the hill ... the valley grows darker and darker as you move towards it... with the glaciers towering over you, the sun becomes less and less effective as you move within. Towards the middle of the cavern ... you can see nothing - only darkness.

"Come along A.D." the farmer says noting that the droid had fallen behind. Pushing forward the two now stood at the mouth of the valley... no light could be seen on the other side. With somewhat of a smile on his face, the farmer takes his first step... one by one each step forward his vision began to fade. Into the shadow they crept... into the darkness the walked.

"Bleep Bleep Bleep." the robotic voice said with a booming echo that followed. The farmer smiled as he new the droid would ask the question.

"Alright fine... as you wish. You better hope I haven't used the last of the candles." he said reaching into his pocket. He had used the last of the candles to build a fire to keep warm when he stayed in the field no more than two nights prior. Though he knew there were no more candles, he patted himself anyways when he felt something hanging from his belt. A slight smile came to his face, as if he had seen an old friend. Reaching beneath his robe he pulls a cylinder like shaft hilt. The object burned in his hand. Though he could not see it, he knew the button was begging to be pushed. Usually they walked in darkness until they could see the light from the other side. Never had the droid grown so alarmed.

The farmer reassured himself the use would be acceptable. Perhaps the droid detected something on the radar, or new something he didn't. An eternity passes in a moments time as the debate rages in his head. Before a victor can be claimed...

*Snap*

The sound was followed by a light that shot from the farmer's hand. The lightsaber blade grows light blue in hue that shined a great light inside the glaciers. The darkness fell victim to its blade as the entire glaciers now glowed with a light blue haze. Without taking another step the farmer stood just gazing at the hilt.

He studied it, something he had not held in ages. The beam was foreign yet familiar to him. Its cold handle seemed to never be held by him, but felt un-naturally proper. The sound was like music to his ears ... calling him to answer.

His unusual focus was soon broken with movement from the corner of his eye. In that instant, his world stopped. It had been years, many years to be exact, since this weapon had been used. With a threat of something nearby that was no longer hidden by darkness, the saber may once have to be used again....

Damon's ship comes out of hyperspace, and lands on the snowy planet of Ilum. Kleew sits, reading the Datapad his master had given him, about how to build his lightsaber.

A weapon agianst evil

All lightsabers are constructed primary the same as far as the basics. Lightsabers have a main power core, crystals for channeling/focusing and a cpu (central processing unit). Don't let the short list of parts fool you.

The power cores are specially designed to charge/recharge on its own energy. The energy reaction is re-fed into the lightsaber while the blade is activated. Otherwise it only expels energy when it comes into contact with objects. Some design their saber with an auxiliary power core. This will help the unit to recharge after use or prolong its usage. However, lightsabers can be depleted to a point where it is necessary to recharge using an external source.

Because of the extreme power needed for such a weapon to be used, the core is usually heavily shielded.

The primary crystal chamber is where the power source is first unleashed. Here the raw energy passes through very rare Adegan crystals. Crystals with properties favorable to constructing an efficient lightsaber and cannot be found in any other crystal nor can be produced artificially. Adega is such a far remote world that on the ice-world of Ilum, Jedi have established a hidden cavern where they are grown. Even though the crystals can be taken and assembled to a lightsaber elsewhere, they complete construction in the caverns for the full experience. It has come to light receintly that the Sith have found ways of manufacturing crystals for their lightsabers. This explains why their lightsaber blade color is red. It is also here where an optional biogenic compound can be added. This is an organic compound that is teaming with midichlorians. It is using this even rarer material that the lightsaber can become apart of the Living Force. Some say it aids Jedi while using their saber. It has been described that the lightsaber can feel alive. In a way it is, through the Force sensitive user.

The enhanced energy now passes through a negatively charged magnetic coiled shaft, organizing the particles into a linear stream.

From there they either tap through a focus pin or through another set of polished lenses next to a positively charged magnetic ring. It is from here the blade is exposed. The energy travels up the projected length of the blade and back down through, traversing its way back to the core.

The blade can be a fixed length, usually 36", or with added lenses and controls, can be adjustable to a few inches. The width of the blade can also be affected by intensity controls. Activation buttons or switches are typically exposed on the outer skin of the lightsaber. On occasion, some have either a concealed touch plate that can recognize only its owner or the switch is internal. This type of internal switch is activated by sheer will of the Force user making it impossible for any others to use.

Jedi carry their lightsabers however it suits them best. The most common way is using the covertec button clip. "D" rings are the second most common. Some may opt to use a looped leather strap. Very rarely will you see a Jedi "tuck" their saber in their belt or boot. Some have cleverly concealed them up their sleeves or in a companion droid.

When Kleew was finished, he put the datapad in his pocket, and waited to see what his master had in store for him first.

It had been years, many years to be exact, since this weapon had been used. With a threat of something nearby that was no longer hidden by darkness, the saber may once have to be used again.

The farmer gracefully performed the lightsaber move called Jung (a 180 degree spin that brings you face to face with an opponent that has managed to move to your back side. The farmer was amazingly accurate with his blade precision, the movements were smooth. Most wielders who use a saber can tell you the first time takes some getting used to as the blade has no mass, therefore throwing your balance completely off when spinning, twirling, or performing any acrobatic attack. The blade hums a loud noise as it rotates, the farmer moving his forearm on top, rotating the blade to cut through the enemy swiftly if need be.

The saber stops at the command of its master just before striking down the enemy, the blade resting at the throat of the sneaky enemy. The adrenaline that comes with battle makes you blind for a moment and to stop in a specific spot on a target requires many years of practice... years that this farmer almost forgot he had.

The blade rests at the opponent's neck, to his surprise, it was his own neck. The farmer was somewhat alarmed at first seeing him standing in front of himself. The experience was one out of this world”¦ he watched as he threatened his own reflections life. The movement he saw just a moment ago was that of his own and the life he now threatened also belonged to him as well.

The sight was an eerie one. Not because he was scared nor because he couldn't believe he made this mistake, but because he saw himself for the first time in years. Truly seen himself, that is, as he should be”¦ a warrior.

He pulled the saber back and gripped it in his hand, the blade rest at his side, ignited as he just looked at himself for a moment.

”œwhooooo”¦”

The ship landed. Damon and Kleew exited the ship with the nesscar matierals, they both walked in silence. The planet is frigid and frozen, but the force kept Damon warm. Last time he was here it nearly klled him, but now the force was comforting. Damon lead Kleew who looked only slightly bothered from the cold into the cave where the crystals were. As they both entered the froce seemed seemd to have been wating for him as usal, but more Kleew than anything.

"Kleew you have bought your matierals needed, now go forth and make your weapon of protection for the people, your light in the darkness, go forth and make your light saber."

Its a blast from the not so distant past.

Soft footsteps and the sound of crunching snow reverberated in the ears of the young Jedi Knight. The splash of water droplets echoed through the narrow tunnel. Darkness was the only thing that could be seen for miles. The air was cold and damp, similar to the feeling one would get on the planet of Dagobah. Placing his hand on one of the crystal formations along the wall, the blind Jedi felt the Force flowing through the rocks. As his fingerips traced the ridges along each crystal he felt the Force ripple, the same ripple one sees when a small stone is tossed into a pond.

Within what felt like years but had actually been seconds, Azrael reached the end of the tunnel. He had emerged into what he could only describe through the Force as a nexus. Here, in this place, the Force seemed to gather itself into a cyclone and flow into the walls of the cave, distributing the power of the Force into each and every crystal grown. Taking small steps toward the "altar", Azrael made his way into the center of the cyclone. Once in this nexus, Azrael began to hear the voices of the Force.

Seek out the one known as Stevenson. He is here on this planet. He will teach you our ways. Once you have learned from him, return here with his knowledge. But we will only speak again, when the foot of a bird has fallen in thisaltar.

Remerging from the cyclone that was the Force, Azrael knelt down inthe snow and began to ponder this strange message. Expanding his mind, he began to search the icey world for Master Stevenson.

Evil is done without effort, naturally, it is the working of fate; good is always the product of an art.

Kleew walked off, and gathered a few green crystals of different sizes. He walked off into the dark cave, leaving his master behind. Kleew was a bit cold. He thought about if this were just a few days ago, he would be scared. Kleew thought about all he had learned in this short period of time. He thought about fighting Dwight on Haruun Kal, using the force to lift, and launch objects into the air. Kleew remembered about jumping onto the top of the tree on Haruun Kal, and fighting Damon on Ossus. All he had learned about the force on Ossus. Kleew found a spot to sit and work on his lightsaber. He worked for about three hours, then finally completed his weapon. Kleew connected the two parts of the hilt together. He stood, and ignighted his green lightsaber. The blade moved swiftly up, about a meter and stopped. He was amazed at the beauty of this extention of himself. He understood now. He understood what his parents had told him when he was younger about the lightsaber not being a weapon, but being an extention of the Jedi. Kleew admired the lightsaber for a second, then powered it down, and clipped it onto his belt. He walked off to meet with his master, and to show Damon his progress.

As Kleew walked off to finish his task, Damon went to work on his. He had a blue light saber, silver short sabers, and now he would have a green long saber. Damon went and gathered himself two green crystals and began working on the energy capicator to help limit the widith of the beam and also to help the beam reach its maxium length. Damon finished his new extison by adding a force activated internal trigger. Damon held his long saber in two hands and actiavted the weapon. The beam came in with a hiss and shown to be a full sixty inchs. The weapon was massive, yet it was only slighty heavier than a standard light saber. Damon thursted, sliced, weaved, slashed, and stabbed. The weapon moved gracefully and even handled very well. The movement was almost equal to that of a pole if Damon wanted it to be, but still the weapon was a long sword with quite a range of movement. Damon de-activated his new weapon and attached it to his belt. It felt awarkward, but it was a new extenison of himself.

As Damon finished Kleew returned and show his new green light saber. It pleased Damon to see this. " Well done Kleew. Let us leave now and go to Coursant. We should see where the order is now, and what the council has in order for us." Damon and Kleew arrived back at the ship and launched off to Courrsant.

Its a blast from the not so distant past.

The once full Corellian ale body now sits empty at the feet of the once and former Prophet. The now empty shell of a man sits in his seat sipping on the last of what he could only title as his pain killer.

Though he was not physically battered or beaten his insides were dying. Not his organs or muscles ... but his soul was slowly corroding away. The alcohol eases his pain so that he may forget about his dirty deeds done in the past, deeds that were appointed to him and him alone. To be a leader you must sometimes sacrifice everything to gain nothing, only to leave your legacy, your life... to nothing more than a few lines on your tombstone. Going from a giant to a farmer was still hard to grip.

*Sip*

His mind was heavy. After a day of heavy drinking anyone's mind would be. He was exhausted from a day of nothingness, he had not moved at all that day, only to get up to get another cup when one would slip from his hand and shatter. A life of nothingness.

*Sip*

The sound makes again as he holds the cup as steady as he can. He had to donate all of his focus to just not dropping yet another cup. He leaned forward, setting the cup on the table in front of him.

*The sound of glass breaking, again, echoes throughout the empty room as he misses the table and lets the last of his cups shatter on the floor below him. As if this does not even faze him, the farmer rises to his feet to here a noise come from the corner.*

"Wooooo" his R2 droid says, his tone the same as it almost always was, clearly showing he had his doubts about the farmer standing to his feet successfully. He stumbles towards his room where his bed was. The walk was only a few steps, but even now, he struggled to do this.

The R2 droid stays in the living room but here's a loud crashing noise from the next room. He puts down his roller legs and moves forward towards the noise, checking to make sure his master was okay. Entering the room a lone light shines from a closet that sits near the corner. He was afraid to go near it, for the farmer had told him since the day he constructed him, not to enter the closet. Rolling closer to the light he slows his pace.

*thud*

The noises get louder as the R2 droid rolls around the corner now, in view of the open door where his master now sits on the floor. Sitting on the ground he watches as the empty man stares at a picture, something very upsetting to him.

The picture was of a woman; beautiful and pure. She poses in front of the camera with a smile that could stop an army, her beauty was unmatched plain in style but graceful in full. The farmer sits as a few tears begin to roll down his face, he was obviously very close to her as he sits, thumb rubbing over the picture top, stroking her face slowly. The farmer slides this picture underneath his robes as he reaches further in the closet, pulling out more objects.

The first object is long in length but wrapped very tight in an elegant cloth. The cloth was rare and had magnificent markings on it, some sort of writing in a language that was lost in time. The farmer set this item on the ground next to him and began digging deeper into the closet, deeper into his buried past.

Next came a small case that held a circular object. The item that was inside was very important; it held the crest of the Jedi Council on it. The farmer flipped the case open to reveal a small circular medal that shines as bright as a sun as he opens it. The medal sits shining in his face and all he can do is smile as he looks back at it. Closing the box, he keeps reaching into the closet, now faster and faster. After this, he pulls another ancient lightsaber from the closet, identical to the one he used the day before in the caves. Obviously these two sabers had been constructed by the same person.

After digging through these old items that once belonged to him, the farmer rises clutching both his lightsabers in his hand. Walking into the living room the farmer ignites both blade that shine identical in color. He ignites the right hand, then shortly after followed by the left. He was no longer effected by the alcohol in his system, it was overpowered by desire, desire to fight a warriors life again.

The powers of Master Prophet and Adi-Wan were defeated by whining, rather than the Sith RPers using their heads to defeat them.

"Come along now - the winds have started to pick up, ... a blizzard is on the horizon my metallic friend!" screams the farmer, completely surrounded by his robes to keep him warm as he walks through the massive fields of snow.

"Bleep bleep blooo..." The droid hollers back his robotic sounds almost being drowned out by the hurling winds that dance upon the plains they creep.

"You can't turn back now - the winds have picked up! It's either follow me to safety or freeze trying to get back to where you think you know you're going. Now, be a good droid and come along!" the farmer screams again as he climbs upwards over the top of another slope.

He thought the winds were strong before he crossed over the previous slope only to find the winds grew even fiercer as he got higher and higher on this mountain side.

He had already crossed the Frozen Plains, which was supposed to be the easy part. Now, he face a challenge that would prove most difficult with high winds, Crystal Pass, where the would climb a series of hills and mountain side in order to cross at a point where the road had slid in a series of avalanches many years ago. Now, connecting the mountainsides is a bridge that was surely unsafe to begin with, but with high wind conditions would surely prove a challenge in itself.

Snow blast in his face as he turned the last corner hugging close to a straight edge that had been cut from the mountainside. The pass was skinny and made the entire trip near impossible to make a mistake. Sliding one foot after another, the farmer managed to get to the opening where the bridge sits blowing in the wind.

The bridge seemed to stretch on forever, but as your eyes traced its features you noticed the dip in the bridge. The bridge sank into the lower valley of crystals where below, a farmers dream lay, crystals raw and beautiful shine below. It would be a goldmine in the market if you could get to it ... but the only way down is to fall, ultimately resulting in a very painful death.

The farmer motions for the droid to go first with somewhat of a smirk on his face. "You go first." he says in a playful tone as the droid rolls into position in front of his master.

"Wooooo...Whooooo" the droid responds in a smug tone. "Alright, alright, lets just hope that neither of us fall, just go, I will be right behind you." the farmer says nudging the droid from behind. As the two step out into the open, the bridge makes a loud popping sound that stops them, both trying to ignore its noises.

The droid rolls ahead kicking his speed up - and rolling twice the speed. The droid moves farther and farther away from the farmer who grips to the side railing of the rope bridge as tightly as he can one step at a time he moves forward.

Though he knew he should not look down, he did anyways, looking at the massive crystal peices below. He notes what a fall it would be before looking back up again, realizing he had only traveled half the distance of the bridge. Looking up, the farmer see's the blue hazy image at the other side of the bridge, before he can get a closer look, a noise is heard from behind.

*snap*
