Krayiss II

King Kheldar vos Correlli

Recommended Posts

Kitt sat within the lush chair, but decided not to make himself too comfortable.

"Before I begin with anything, I must applaud the Empire's ability to craft such beautiful ships, and their devotion to maintain them. They truly are a breath taking sight."

Kitt shifted his robes to make sure that Admiral Reilly would be able to see his full body. It was a normal ploy used between two parties while in a negotiation, and was one of the many things he picked up from his master so long ago.

"Clearly Admiral Starlisk was either too occupied, or simply did not care for the amount of loss that took toll here at Krayiss II, as him being a Jedi, life is always a priority. I wish to end any further attempts by the Republic against this system, as clearly both sides have suffered much."

Even through the Force, Kitt could sense within Admiral Reilly, that he himself had lost something dear to him. What is was, he could not tell, nor did he wish to pry in to figure out either. Strangely though, he felt a strong feeling compelling him to ask about his connection to the Force. Surely he must know that he is connected to it... Or maybe it's a lingering presence that I am feeling...

"The Republic should never had made such an attempt here. I wish to request for a full Republic withdraw within our seize fire, so that both fleets can heal the broken wounds that were inflicted today."

The young Imperial admiral allowed a slight nod of his head in thanks to the Jedi's compliment on Imperial vessels. Marcus himself had been awed the first time he stepped aboard a Star Destroyer. The pristine surfaces that covered the corridors and rooms of the massive ships often belittled the horror they were capable of unleashing.

"Thank you Master Jedi. I know not of other Admirals, but I do take pride in the appearance of my vessels. Although I do not let this vanity interfere with the ships ability to do battle. Such an interference would be costly."

As Kitt turned his body to face the admiral, Marcus noticed the young Jedis eyes watching him closely. Yet it was not his physical appearance that the Jedi Master eyed. It seemed almost as if he was looking into his soul.

"While the amount of lives lost here is very regrettable Admiral, Starlisk was it, was only following orders. I do not know of his position within the ranks of the Jedi Order nor do I understand his views as belonging to that position, but being a man of the military myself, one always has superiors to answer to. I believe even as a member of the Jedi Council, you have someone to whom you must obey."

As Marcus finished his statement, a droid entered the chamber with several drinks on a tray. Without speaking a word, the droid left the drinks and departed the Admirals quarters. Reilly waited for the Jedi to choose a glass before selecting one of his own.

"It would be very much appreciated by myself and my Emperor if more such attacks against this system would be halted."

The Christophian took a small sip from his glass before returning to the negotiation.

"I do agree that the Republic should never have entered this system with hostile intentions, but it did happen. The Empire, as well as I personally, have lost thousands of men here, and just as much in materials."

"As the Inevitable is destroyed and Admiral Starlisk has been captured, the fight here is nearly done. The men aboard his flagship as well as hundreds of pilots out in space are nearly out of time. The ship is crumbling and it's pieces will soon be falling into the atmosphere of Krayiss. I am willing to assist in the rescue of these men as well as those Republic pilots who managed to eject from their fight. But I can not in good conscious allow unarmed shuttles containing loyal Imperials to enter an area that is controlled by several heavily armed and fully functioning capital ships. I must ask that control of the remaining MC90s be turned over to my officers."

Marcus knew that this offer would surely strike ill with the Jedi Master. If someone asked this of him, he would surely rise up in anger, but the Admirals intentions were truly honorable. He did not wish for the men stuck aboard the Inevitable to die in this way, nor did he wish the pilots stuck between the two fleets to run out of air. But as he stated, he would not send his own men into a situation where they could be slaughtered.

Kitt allowed for a public display of him drawing in breath. While he could feel through the Force that Marcus meant no harm , it was indeed a steep request to make. But he could feel that the young Admiral knew that it was as well. His mind raced for a moment trying to see if there was a middle ground that could be reached, but deep down, he knew that no such ground was available. He could not trust the soldiers of the Republic army like Onderin could. Letting his breath that he held be relieved in a release, he lowered his head for a second before lifting it back up.

"I normally would have disallowed such a thing, but I also do understand your view and where you stand on the subject. The safety of your men are of top priority, especially when you're unsure if you can trust the other side to remain neutral."

Kitt slowly nodded his head and looked past Marcus for a few moments before returning his gaze again.

"Yes, I agree to those terms."

Kitt stared at his eyes and wondered once again about the faint presence he could feel and wondered if it was even his place to ask such a thing.

"You know, there are days when I wonder why the Republic fights against you, when in reality, all you try to do is maintain peace. True, your methods might not sit well with most, but does it work?"

It was rhetorical, but he also wished to hear Marcus's take on it. He also hoped that the young Admiral would give him an opening to ask him about the Force. He wouldn't feel right to simply just ignore it when there could be potential there.

Onderin vs. various Sith:

I'll keep this short and to the point, as it seems fairly simple to me. Two turbolaser bolts vs. Mon Cal shielding backed up with redundant shield gens = shields win. All Sith, and Onderin himself, are unharmed by the attack.

Thank you. I know most would have been enraged by such a proposition."

"XO, Master Kitt has agreed for us to assume command of the MC90 cruisers. I want crews prepared to board and take control of the ship. I want the command crews to be unarmed, but I do wish for a squad of Stormtroopers to travel with each crew. They will not open fire on the Rebel crews unless fired upon first. Upon taking command of the vessels, enter hyperspace heading to these coordinates. Arrange for the Rebel crews to be sent home or to a rendezvous point to be picked up by the Rebellion. And begin sending shuttles to the Inevitable as well as to pick up any fighter pilots stranded in space. I want to get as many men out of the wreckage alive as possible. If we are able to recover the bodies of the dead, I would like to see them sent back to the Rebellion to be buried."

Marcus turned his attention back to the Jedi before him. He hoped that the gesture of returning the dead would make an impression as well as begin to squash rumors about the evil of the Empire.

"Does it work? That is a unique question Master Jedi. I also wonder why the Republic fights against us. I will admit that sometimes I do not approve of the actions taken by the Empire. Sometimes we as an Empire are harsh in our dealings with opponents. Since it's formation, the Empire has used fear as a weapon to keep people in line. In my understanding, this is not a good trait. While fear does keep most people in line, it does cause others to rise up and challenge such a government."

"I am not against challenging a government. Government needs challenging in order to grow, evolve, and become better. But when utter fear is used to dominate people, that governments needs to be thrown away. And that is what the Republic fights against. What they fail to see is that by openly attacking shipyards such as Krayiss, we are forced to intervene. We are forced to use the ships we created, the weapons we trained to use, and the brutality that they hope to end."

"I have only recently become an Admiral in the Imperial Navy, but I do intend to use respect and not fear to keep systems in line. I hope to show that my ships are to protect the Empires citizens rather than intimidate them."

Taking another sip from his glass, Marcus took small look out the window of his quarters. He watched as hundreds of shuttles made their way from his fleet, each moving toward the Republic vessels. He knew that each would save dozens of men from death. He hoped that this show would be enough to change the image of the Empire in thousands of minds. The young Admiral also knew that within moments, the MC90s that had opposed him not too long ago, would be jetting into hyperspace to offload its former crew and begin service to the Empire. Turning back to the Jedi Council member, a feeling began to stir within him.

"Master Kitt, I am getting the sense their is something you wish to ask of me. Please, ask away."

Although without the force temporarily whilst he was next to the pariah's Lucifer looked down at the incapacitated admiral and Jedi. The trap was perfect and worked wihout a hitch, now all the sith needed to do was restrain him bring him in for trial...no doubt the emperor would be most pleased with his capture as would the kiffar sith's Dark Lord.

Lucifer knew his master would be proud, the kiffar had already done much and aided greatly in the war effort with his actions this day, but eyt it was not over yet the group still had to transfer Onderin out of the Inevitable and to a secure location.

He called out to several of the pariah's ''Restrain him and cuff him, we want no surprises from the jedi during transport.''

Tha pariah's ever the professionals followed the order without question before following the young sith to the bridge where Dagon was situated, there the kiffar would recieve further orders as to the fate of the admiral. Motioning that they follow him Lucifer noted how they cuffed Onderin with the binders (stun cuffs) if he so much as blinked he would be instantly zapped by the endless stream of electricity or smashed with a baton. The captured Jedi Master was dragged into the bridge with Lucifer as an escort of sorts, he noticed the same trooper as before (Fixer)...how fitting he would finish what was started while Onderin was taken from his hands.

Distancing himself from the pariah's as he left them and their captive with Dagon and the others, Lucifer could feel the force again. Remembering what his master had told him the kiffar focused his mind on Fixer, visualising his target he focused on forcing him away and out into the deep abyss of space or at least backwards into some of his men...as some kind of domino affect. The kiffar poured more power into it until the tipping point approached...within moments of thrusting his hands forward Lucifer performed the Force Push as expected, carnage ensued when objects and people met..at least those who were targeted, delight covered the kiffar sith's face when 3 men were crushed between the durasteel shutters and several chairs, the power that was used was enough to crush a man or two.

It would serve to keep Fixer occupied for the time being while the sith planned their escape and subsequant departure.

Fixer blinked momentarily as the Sith thrust his hands outward. It didn't matter, however, as the Sith had done something rather stupid. Getting past sealed doors was one thing. Not being prepared for the vacuum that was the bridge. That was something else entirely.

As the Sith did his yoga stretch, Fixer set his sights on the saberless sith

For Johnson!

It was the one thought on his mind as he pulled the trigger twice with the Pulsed Energy Projectile attachment on his Dc-17. He thought he felt the lizard on his back move inside of its little containment dish.

As he fired his men fired on the same Sith each one opting however, for stun shots from their various weapons. Why the Sith thought his devastating force push would affect men trained and equipped to handle such saber jockeys were beyond all of them.

((Actually Lucifer still had his sabre in one of his hands while he did it but if you want to play hardball so be it.))

<>

Within moments of performing the force push Lucifer quickly ducked for cover rolling out of harms way and behind one of the command terminals as the darts and plasma hit nothing but the floor instead of him, the sith was no fool and would not stay in one place too long. the kiffar cursed his luck for near forgetting they had yslamari until the earliar event reminded him of such once the firefight had begun, he had narrowly avoided capture at that moment.

The sith decided to opt for a different approach this time...using his robotic eye and peering over the top just barely visible the kiffar pinpointed an object in perfect position to crush one more of the commander's men and place Fixer in harms way, but first he would need to be rid of the creature from his back. Looking to some of the troopers whom had arrived with him Lucifer knew he had the advantage with several pariah's and sith including the Dark Lord on the bridge with him, either this commanding trooper he faced was suicidal or incredibly stupid. Lucifer moved around not staying in one spot but moving constantly from terminal to terminal until he came upon one of the men stabbing him in the back through the Yslamari and thus ending the beasts affects on the kiffar followed by a swift cut into the man's spine. Using the body as a meatshield to take the bolts Lucifer moved forward with the corpse towards his target using one hand to hold it in place while with his other holding his sabre.

Lucifer used his anger and hatred, he was getting slightly annoyed at the persistence of the man he faced...it was time to take action. Still holding the dead body in front of him Lucifer locked onto one of the unbreached durasteel shutters behind Fixer and yanked forward, in affect pulling it straight from it's holding and into the back of the man's head or attempt to while he ducked behind one of the many other terminals, using the moment Lucifer took one of his thermo grenades and one incendiary, sticking them together the kiffar set a 3 second delay as he threw one flashbang to disorientate the man. Not a moment after activating the combined grenade he threw it to his feet using the disorietating affects of the flash as a distraction....if the blast didn't seriously cripple him it would at the very least burn him to cinders even if that were not the case he was sure the other sith would be more than happy to dispatch of him.

This time when Kitt took his breath in and out, it went much faster then before. He hesitation was still something that surprised himself, as it wasn't something he normally did. Choosing his words carefully, he spoke with a calm centered voice.

"I do. The Force has strange ways of working within the Galaxy. It connects most of us in different ways. Some of us, it uses to its own purpose, others, it speaks directly to them. I feel something within the Force that is telling me that it speaks directly to you."

It was the most delicate way he could put it. He didn't want to dump something philosophical on the Young Admiral, especially not knowing how Marcus even felt about the Force. He would let him chose the manner of which this conversation goes.

With the admiral subdued, a darkwatch the imperial troops began processing the surviving rebel troops and crew for disembarkation from the Inevitable. Onderin was sweeped and scanned for traces, weapons and tools that may be used for escape, after he had been sheltered in an emergency vacu-seal blanket used for massive armor breaches in vacuum. The Onderin in a blanket was loaded on to a shuttle with pariahs to ensure that no problems occurred in transit. Dagon left orders with the imperial troops as he departed to oversee other matters.

When Onderin was transferred to the medbay on one of the Star Destroyers, he was implanted with neural control chips that would prevent his use of the Force, and could adapt to neural rerouting, an old prison technology that had long been gathering dust in the Empire.

Fixer vs. Lucifer:

Lucifer, first of all, the pariahs were nulled in KVC's last ruling, and so are not there. Secondly, after extensive debate and reading through previous posts, Onderin is also on the bridge, albeit sealed against the vacuum by a Darkwatch medic (there was a large amount of confusion as to Onderin's location when he fell, which has since been resolved), which means that you didn't bring him with you, but that he was already there.

Furthermore, your character seems a tad spry for someone maglocked to the ground and wearing a full vacuum-sealed suit. I doubt his ability to dodge incoming fire and sneak around behind Republic commandos.

The capture shot is awarded, but I see it making very little difference with multiple other Sith on the bridge as well as Darkwatch troops, so Lucifer is incapacitated, but not in Republic custody, which is an unlikely outcome in any event.

Draken turned around and took one step to the left of the pillar and leaving the protective cover of the pillar, as he heard the stun blasts from the rebel guns fall silent. He tossed an adhesive flash bang onto the visor of the leader of the Rebel unit and when it exploded, drew one of his slugthrower which was loaded with Armor piercing rounds with a single motion and in the chaos caused by the flash bang sighted the slugthrower in on the leader. He squeezed the trigger once, paused for half a second then pulled it twice more. The first bullet was headed for the rebel leader's head; the second two bullets were headed for his heart.

He re-holstered the slug thrower as he took one step back to the right and bringing him back into the protective cover of the pillar

Seeing the Sith go down, the mass of imperial troops on the bridge fill him full of rounds so that he can't be interrogated, before opening fire on the rogue republic commandos.

The first Sith dropped. Yet it was of little comfort. After all the Admiral was missing, and he and his team were still staring down a number of enemy troops and what looked like a few more saber jockeys. Naturally Fixer decided to hope that his captain had finished with the mandos but the silence on the horn suggest otherwise.

Contemplating his sudden elevation in command. He knew the wisest course of action would be his immediate surrender. Having lost the ability to save the admiral. This of course meant his life and the lives of his men would be at the mercy of not just imperial but Sith, but it was better than the sure fire death that awaited them.

Raising his gun as to surrender, it was at this moment he saw the fluid motion of the second saber jocket. The small cylinder that would no doubt spell certain doom for his position. No time to move, as the grenade adhered to his face. Today really just was not his day.

He closed his eyes instinctively, preference to enter the black abyss, at least half way. Then his world turn white. Searing white. His head snapped back as the force of the explosion send him tumbling backwards.

It was that one motion that allowed the first bullet to whiz past his head. You were kind of hard pressed not to blame the gunman. Firing a projectile weapon in a vacuum at an erratically moving target wasn't something you necessarily got on your first try. Headshots were hard enough as it were.

The temporarily disabled enemy, suffering from the same effects as he, were momentarily forgotten. The shouts of his team, firing on the Sith that had ducked behind the pillar went unheeded. What worked for one sith would no doubt work on another. Only a grenade was added for good measure. He was only aware of a few things.

First that in the darkness of space his world was oddly white. The second that something hurt a lot. And third, and perhaps most importantly he was spinning. Hard deck plates collided with unforgiving armor as he collapsed to the ground. Was he alive? He wasn't sure. Perhaps he was dying. It didn't matter, he had failed the republic all the same.

The question was had they failed him? Had his armor, reinforced against Verpine shatter guns as well as of just being made of reinforced duraplast been enough to allow him to live and fight another day? He knew he was having trouble breathing. Could be his air was low. He had lost track of how long he had been holed up on the bridge. Had this impossible fight at last been resolved for this solider?

The young Admiral listened intently as Kitt spoke to him. Marcus had never truly understood what the Force was; he was often unsure if it even existed at times. Since he was unable to use the Force, he simply never put too much stock in it. He kept his mind focused on his solders, his ships, and his strategy in whatever battle he was fighting. As the Jedi Master spoke his last few words, Marcus calm and confident exterior was broken.

As soon as the vaccum of space had engulfed his body, Torin knew he had made the wrong decision. Had his power failed him? No, danger was present. He saw the two bolts of fire streaming towards the ship, but for some reason his senses had failed to acknowledge the capital ship's shields.

It was no matter now. He was floating in space in the midst of a mammoth gun fight watching as fighters swirled around the massive ships like bees buzzing an elephant. He stretched out with the Force, grabbing a hold of the captial ship with a dark tendril and using it as a rope, pulling himself in towards the ship's hull. When he got within range, his mag boots engaged, anchoring his feet to the hull and leaving him to search for a way back in...

The reaction Kitt got out of Marcus was something that wasn't completely unexpected, but nor was it fully expected either. The dismay was there, and while slightly more hidden, the curiosity was also present. The idea behind an Admiral that could feel the Force at such a late age was totally unheard of, nor was it something that the Jedi favored. But something was different here. Kitt couldn't ignore what was before him.

"I can understand that as of right now, disbelief and confusion is running high. But you must hear my words that I am trying to convey to you. The Force does not choose to speak to the Jedi and the Sith, but instead, we are Jedi and Sith because it speaks to us."

Kitt folded his arms across his chest, a typical Jedi pose, and one that the Jedi master found much easy and relaxation while in.

"Think over your life, the encounters that you've had. The blind luck that must have come your way. Understand and know that the Force did work in your life, even if you were and are unaware of it."

Kitt allowed for his eyes to narrow in on Reilly. Slowly and surely, he poured the Force out into the atmosphere within the private chamber, doing his best to spur the feeling of the Force around the young Admiral. It would always be there, as it always has. The question was, would he respond to such a calling? Could he even respond to such a calling?

He had made sure the big wookiee was trussed up after knocking him out. Filtering out the labored sounds of the creature's breathing. More out of annoyance than anything else.

He reported the incident to his employer via comm, before awaiting the stormtrooper detail unlucky enough to carry the creature away.

Two darts, plus toxin able to disable a wookiee.

He shook his head thinking on the battle so far.

"Well now, guess I'll just cool my heels."

He said to no one in particular.

Darth Shadowlord vs. Fixer:

As you're aware, Shadowlord, weapons must be accounted for whether IC or on your character sheet, and since neither of us can find evidence for the adhesive flashbangs, that part of your post is nulled.

However, you still fired three armour-piercing rounds at Fixer, and I'm not sure how much the vacuum would affect those rounds, especially since being in vacuum does not necessarily mean being in a no-gravity zone.

Fixer, you posted dodging the headshot, which is fine given that the flashbang has been nulled, but dodging three shots in total is unlikely, again given that your char is probably maglocked to the floor.

Nice concession of damage, or at least leaving the door open for damage being done.

Fixer is hit in the upper body; he is wounded, but the amount of damage done, and whether his suit integrity is now compromised, is his call.

Draken, you are pinned down by enemy fire, and have a grenade at your feet (thrown previously by Fixer's men). Deal with this as you will.

Draken looked at the grenade at his feet and hit it with a small concentrated burst of Force energy similar to the hitting of a golf ball with a club. It shot away from him, then getting caught by the vacuum and sucked out the forward view screen. Whistling loudly, Draken signaled to the Darkwatch troopers that were with Dagon to lay down suppressing fire for him. A moment later multiple blaster rifles opened up on fully auto and began to spray crimson fire across the deck in front of Draken allowing him to move into cover behind the pillar once more.

"Hey Rebel, how would you like to leave here alive?"

As the young Jedi Master spoke to him, Marcus allowed his gaze to wander. Each word the Jedi spoke to him seemed to make sense on some level inside him. Although his Imperial training had indoctrinated him to believe it was only his own skill that allowed him to survive throughout the many battles he had endured. Admiral Reilly allowed his mind to wander back through his life, something he rarely did. He remembered back when he first joined a crew. He had been chosen to be the freighters navigator because he a natural at plotting courses. He remembered vividly the first time they had come under attack. Without thinking, and relying on pure base instinct, Marcus had taken the craft's controls and allowed the gunners aboard the freighter to quickly eliminate the threat. Having never before flown a ship, Marcus had been able to push the freighter through maneuvers that had impressed even the experienced captain who had hired him. He remembered feeling as if he and the ship were one. He could almost feel something guiding his hands, just subtle pressures, guiding him, telling him where to go. Could that have been the Force? Could he have been using the Force, before he even knew what the Force was?

Marcus turned his eyes back to Kitt and he eyed the Jedi. The young Admiral rose to his feet for a moment and took several paces across the room, his mind racing.

"So...if the Force does speak to me, what does that mean?

Kitt watched and studied the Admiral for some time as he processed what was told to him. In his own mind, he was sure that such a weight must have been pressed down upon the man when Kitt told him all of this. Maybe it was a burden he should never have given him. But when Marcus spoke, it reinforced the idea in Kitt's own mind that such a burden was necessary for any decision to be reached.

"Normally, it means you could use the Force the way any other Force sensitive can, whether they be Jedi or Sith."

Taking in breath and then quickly releasing it, he wasn't sure he should have even brought such a thing present. The current Emperor disliked Force users with a passion. He made it well known. He could only imagine what Denton would do if he found out one of his own were able to use the Force.

"In most circumstances, if any high trained Force user discovered a being strong in the Force such as yourself, they would train you. However, I feel that such an option has been removed from the table."

Kitt began to wonder if he could train him in some way? And if not him, would another Sith take the challenge? In his own mind, he didn't care if a Sith did train him, the Jedi Master was more worried about Marcus being trained as opposed to not. Every being deserves to understand the gift that they hold. To deprive them of that is evil in itself. No, someone must train Marcus. The question would be who? And maybe even more important, how?

"So I would be able to use the Force? Just like the Jedi I have fought, and the Sith who aided me?"

Marcus allowed a brief sigh to escape his lips as he contemplated this. He himself knew that Deton despised those who wielded the Force. In his eyes the Sith were barely better than the Jedi, and only because they aided the Empire in its cause. What would he do when he learned that Marcus, his newly appointed Admiral was one of them. Reilly felt a strong urge within him to learn about this new found gift or curse if Deton found out. But part of him wanted to remain apart from this. To remain in Detons good graces.

"Master Kitt. I would like to learn more about the Force, and my part in it. But I can not abandon my men. Would you be willing to remain aboard the Pellaeon and train me in the Force?"

Soon Torin found the opporotunity he had been searching for. His mag boots had anchored his body to the outer hull of the Inevitable not far from a hangar bay, but even closer was a view port. He made his way to this opening and sliced into the clear barrier with his lightsaber, shattering the dense material and opening the interior hallway to the vaccum of space. An unsuspecting Imperial, a member of one of the boarding parties, was sucked out ahead of Torin's quick entrance. The two switched places just ahead of the metal security doors that soon slammed shut, sealing the inside of the ship off from the harsh environments.

Looking up from his knealing position, Torin saw a surprised look on a group of Republic commandos. They'd been caught off gaurd by his sudden penetration of their defenses, but did not have time to stare at the Sith Lord for long. His lightsaber quickly sliced them in half, leaving Torin to search for a safer way off the ship.

It was the question that Kitt did not want to hear. Deep down, he felt obligated to train such a man as Marcus. On the other hand, he still held many responsibilities within the Order that he needed to attend to. It was a difficult decision for him to make. Part of him wished that such a Sith would be present that felt the same strong need to train those in the Force.

"While I feel obliged to honor such a request Admiral Reilly, I also have responsibilities that must be attended to within the Jedi Order itself. At this current point in time, I must honor my originals commitments before I can take on any more."

Kitt lifted his hand, as if to hold the Admiral's attention before he finished talking.

"However, I do wish to see you trained in the ways of the Force. I would request that you seek out another that could train you, or wait until I can, but I do wish that you would see such a thing come to pass."

Kitt then lowered his hand. It was the last important thing that he had wished to discuss with Marcus. The young Admiral was a strong man, and even worthy of his post. Kitt knew that such a man would end becoming a great man, or someone would kill him before the end because he will become a great man. Kitt wished for the later.

Ulan did not need the Force to sense the approaching danger. He could easily see several missles streaking through space towards Gavin and him. They had fled a battle for a war, and like their previous enagement, Ulan knew they would not be leaving until the enemy were dead or ready to let him and his master flee.

"Not the wisest decision was this, perhaps," he said with his sarcastic wit that Gavin would probably view as inappropriate at the moment. "Switching all defensive power to forward deflectors."

Meditation had calmed Ulan's concerns about all that he and Gavin had battled through, but he still felt uncomfortable around Gavin. The last time they had spoken Gavin had not seemed himself, and Ulan was still worried his master was not pleased with him.

Now was not the time for petty squabbling however, several missels were bearing down upon them, and Ulan's natural defensive nerves began to throb waiting for the next step. It came from an unexpected locale. Missles began exploding in midflight, revealing A-wing starfighters in their place. The Republic had recieved Gavin's call and was apparently not out of the battle yet.

"A good pilot I hope you are. Need our help they do, or the A-wings sent they would not."

Ulan centered his emotions, calming and quieting his mind. He had a last-ditch plan in mind, but wanted to wait on his master's reaction before hastily acting. Although there was not an abundance, time for thought and patience did exist.

Watching from a closed circuit holo-viewer, DMD observed the battle as it took place on its' various fronts. He could see the Republic forces being routed on levels four through six. He could also see the events taking place in the hangar bay were some of the other Sith boarded the republic vessel. The screen in the far right corner, showed the main deck, particularly the bridge. He observed the Sith forces led by Dagon, overtake Onderin. Republic Spec Ops were already present in the area, but with the assistance of senior Darkwatch trooper Masterson, he was able to change access codes to the bridge main doors and cut the power to all primary access doors along the corridor on that level.

He was not at all surprised when he saw his eager apprentice join the fight on the bridge. DMD watched as Lucifer helped to hold Onderin's forces at bay. Everything seemed to be under control, until things started to go bad. Lucifer attacked a Republic soldier but was foiled by some unseen force. What he didn't expect to see was the Sith forces turn their weapons on his apprentice. From the footage he saw, it appeared that Lucifer had been gunned down.

Turning to Masterson, he said, "I need you to open all doors and access ports leading to the bridge. Make sure they are all sealed as soon as pass through them. Also, see if you can syphon some of the shields power and redirect over the breach, by creating a plasma port on the bridge level. When I signal you, overload the main power grid. Is that clear?" DMD said as he moved toward the open door leading out side of his makeshift command post.

"Masterson, after you overload the power grid, withdraw our forces to my shuttle." He said, before disappearing down the corridor. Just as he had instructed the heavy blast doors opened and closed behind him, as he traveled with force aided speed along his path. Some of the troops he passed along the way caught a brief glimpse of his emerald eyes as his shadowed form moved by them.

Standing beneath a maintenance door, he stopped to signal Masterson, then proceeded inside. Making his way through the labyrinth on wires and circuitry, it wasn't long before he had reached his destination. He was directly beneath the bridge. Suddenly then flickering lights on the circuitry boards dimmed, then went out. The sound of air being pulled out into the vacuum, ceased. DMD pushed out with the force, sending the access door crashing into the ceiling. He leapt from the hole, landing behind some of the Sith that opened fire on his apprentice. His crimsom cape spread like bat wings and engulfed the eight troopers standing with their backs to him. The darkness inside his cape siezed them, pulling and twisting their bodies into odd forms. DMD called upon his mastery of Sith sorcery to make examples of the unfortunate few. When his cape was finally pulled back, the mutilated and contorted forms of the Sith troops lay in a bloody pile on the bridges deck.

DMD made his way over to Lucifer's still form. He could see that he was breathing, though unconscious. A small spark of force energy was visible at the tip of his finger as he touched Lucifer's temple. The small jolt caused his body to jerk momentarily and his eyes opened immediately afterwards. A few blaster bolts zipped overhead. The origin of the shots was unknown. DMD pulled items form the environment and randomly pushed them out in all directions. The sounds of objects striking walls and softer forms caught his trained ears. Lucifer had began to sit up. His master stood defensively before him.

"Who gave the order to fire upon you?" He said, with his anger audibly clear in his voice.

Lucifer awoke suddenly...the jolt awakening his dormant self. The kiffar stared at his master his fury was evident at how he was struck down by a mere republic trooper however he made it clear by such fury that it would not happen again.

Lucifer spoke up while hiding behind the cover afforded,

''Master, I know not the sith trooper gave the order. The last thing I remember is that wretched republic scum over there firing stun shots at me and falling to a barrage by his men when indequate cover was afforded...I have every intention of repaying him for that transgression and then some.''

Lucifer pointed to Fixer who was still at the current time firing upon Darth Arcanus with his men. The kiffar was clearly angered and wished to seek vengeance upon the man who thought he could get the better of Lucifer...he may have got him once but not twice...this time it was personal and Lucifer wished to repay him twice over for the affliction he caused, the malicious thoughts could be felt by his master as the kiffar stared directly at his target, his eyes seemingly piercing through the helmet he wore, within moments Lucifer's robotic eyed locked onto severla points of his body, vital points that would either cause considerable pain or death if struck correctly, Lucifer also took note of the wound Fixer had taken his thought now was to somehow widen it and spill his guts onto the deck.

Lucifer spoke to his master once more,

''Master it seems my prey is wounded, struck by a bullet courtesy of one of our sith brethren. If we can get close enough we may be able to widen his wound and spill his guts where he stands but first we need to be rid of his men, they shouldn't be too much of a problme if we can remove the yslamari first.''

The world seemed muffled for some reason, he wasn't sure why. All the same he heard the Sith's question with absolute clarity. There was really only one answer he could give.

"Yes."

He gasped shortly before everything went to hell, or the neverlands or where the hell things went in this universe. A whirlewind of destruction overtook the bridge. No doubt the arrival of another Sith master. The amount a life seemed worth to these monsters was as always astonishing.

The arrival had begun with the dimming of lights. Before long he could tell a new and powerful Sith had once again made their way onboard the bridge.

He struggled to a sitting position, with his back to a control panel. Down and hidden from the most part by any incoming enemy fire. He opened his channel to his men.

"Look we are going to get slaughtered if we stay here any long. The Admrial has been captured, and I doubt these sith are willing to.... take more prisoners than they have too."

He took a shallow breath, he chest hurt something fierce but, his suit hadn't been breached. For him that was all that mattered, as being removed from his suit due to vaccuum wasn't a pretty picture. At least in his mind.

"Suggestions?"

"We Evac out the window sir. Now way we are fighting to the door."

"Any... other suggestions?"

The silence on the comm was only punched by the blaster fire on the bridge.

"Sonofab_ alright here is what *Cough* we are going to do. Diversion, fix, flee. We got magboots lets make em work."

"Hacer count... us off."

"3, 2, 1 GO GO GO" was the reply, as they as a unit stood up and launched grenades at the enemy forces. The sith with out their force had no idea, that the grenades were even coming, and every crucial moment they spend dealing with those, was another moment they had to move.

Stumbling at first, they ran, dragged, or stimmed their way to the hole in the bridge left by the Dark Lord of the Sith firing shots behind them as the ran. Then.... they were free.

"MAG BOOTS!"

The sounds of their footsteps on the hull were non existent in vacuum. But each step seemed like it took forever. the sound of his laboring breathing was the only thing that kept him going. Using it to keep pace, as he fought his way through space itself to reach the escape pods.

If i'm gonna leave, I'm gonna leave on my own terms.

((Yea i'm out. Passed out dudes getting up again, this battle will last forever.))

"Blast! Get that Wookiee out of the firing area!" (Scorch: Okay, you tell him to retreat, Fixer.) "Uh...negative on that."
