Ronin's ship, with Triple Helix's attached to the front, ground into the hanger--a trail of loose parts following in it's wake. Ronin strolled our calmly, stomping out small fires as he exited his ship. His hands shielded a lighter, which he brought up to light a new cigarette.

"The Plunder is good! Tonight we feast! Meat and booze in the dining hall!"

Three of the link patrons and an employee turned to look at Ronin, finding his proclamation odd, considering the location. Ronin's finger came up to point at the link's hanger attendant.

"You! Take word to me woman--we make love on the 'marrow!"

The attendant shook his head, unsure what to think, then simply informed Ronin that Zara had left for the Link HQ on Coruscant.

"Scratch that then. Load my ship onto the Kraken, and... Uhh... Make sure my friend and my droid in the cargo bay are... alive. And put a fancy restraining bolt on the droid--then take him to Kat. He'll know what to do."

Ronin took a tram to his command ship, going through the motions and waiting for his ship and Tekkan to be loaded up before taking off for Coruscant...

Dominique strode down the ramp to her ship, having landed it only a few moments ago. She glanced around the hanger bay, taking in the scene and scoping it out. She had left all of her weapons on her ship, but that did not mean that she shouldn't keep an eye out. She quickly made her way inside the brightly lit casino. All of the noises, smells, lights”¦ her senses were in the process of being over loaded.

She blocked it all out and moved up to the counter. She needed a drink and this being a Casino she assumed they would have something good to drink. She waited patiently with her hood over her face for the lousy bartender to move over towards her.

”œWhat can I do ”˜ya for?”

The black panther dropped out of hyperspace above corellia, and made its way to the casino, broadcasting its docking codes before landing within the panthers own docking bay.

"That was uneventful, wasnt it." His head turned towards brina, kat lowered the landing ramp from the cockpit, and made his way out of the ship with an arm around her. Pausing at a console, Kat had the luggage transported to their seperate rooms.

Once again walking, kat broke out of his thoughts for a moment.

"You know, although we are only a 2 minute walk away from each other... how would you like to move in with me?"

Kat almost smiled at himself. Very recently he had been in heated argument with a blacksun crime lord and easily kept his composure, and now he found his thoughts disjointed at the thought of asking the woman he had been with for months to move 500m into his apartment.

Something was different, and it had stirred Exodus from the haven of a dreamless sleep into the cold, awaiting arms of semi-consciousness. Too irritated to surrender just yet, he stubbornly closed his eyes and attempted to fling himself back into that previous state of contentment. Instead, Exodus dangled precariously in half-awareness, unable to calm his mind and drift back to sleep. Annoyed, he stretched out his senses to locate the source of his awakening. And make it pay, he smiled to himself.

The cool vessel breeze drifted in from the landing port. It was sweeter than Exodus could ever imagine, free from the heat the city-dwellers had slaughtered his mind with before. Exodus pried open his eyes to peer through the darkness. Standing, silhouetted against the partially rebuilt vessel. Slipping off the ship panel, allowing the exhaust to cover his appearance, Exodus pulled his dark robe over his body and furthered such an appearance.

Lights, noise, overcrowding. It all bothered him immediately and it seemed that he would have to reduce such nuisances before him. Unfortunately, this place was loaded with mountains of security and precautions that would prevent him to do so. His energies compressed by an unknown matter, and his body repenting against any form of movement would only aggravate him onto another level.

Still, his stoic and calm expression laid under his extravagant robe and a drink would easily bring him to par with his mentality. He followed his feet, allowing them to wander in the direction of what would seem to be a most mysterious woman, sitting there with her hood smothering her identity.

"Water will be fine."

Placing himself upon the stool next to the woman, he began to hum a tune that even the woman would have to strain to comprehend. He was at harmony with himself, which was a moment to cherish - seeing as this had never once happened before and was sure to end only minutes after..

Dominique sat quietly, minding her own business and ignoring the others in the Casino. Such was no easy task though. Cigar smoke filled the air, shouts of joy from winnings and music surrounded and fully assaulted her. She needed some kind of release from it all, from everyone around her. She had been surround been first blood shed and brutal war tactics, then the concrete forest that was Coruscant”¦and now this. Why she had chosen this place to hide out she would never know.

Without turning or raising his head from the drink before him, Exodus let out a slow breath, hoping it would ease some of his anxiety. The fine tune, coming to a complete stop. The bartender paused, as if awaiting a violent reaction to spring. Exodus, remained still - as if waiting to lash out with an unsuspecting amount of rage. Rather, it was the complete opposite. Exodus played a devious grin to his sly figure, his magnificent features becoming apparent through the darkness of his attire. Maybe the question was too personal, maybe the tune was something of his past, a past long forgotten - But as chosen, Exodus ignored the question completely and shifted his body to face hers.

"What is your.. name?"

Sizing her, from top to bottom, and back again. An intrigued expression positioned itself on the Sith Lord's face. There was something about her that moved him, and attracted his senses to a swelling point. She was different, she was capable..

Dominique looked the man over once again. He had completely ignored her question and asked one of his own, but there was something about him”¦perhaps it was the way he carried himself”¦that made him intriguing. It might be hazardous for her to say her name around here as she was not to popular with most people, but rather then make up a fake name she said her own.

”œIt's Dominique and yours?”

Exodus relaxed at the sound of her appealing voice, reminiscing over the previous events that led him to such an encounter. Moving his hand easily through his desired locks of hair, allowing his pupils to settle in radiance as he went over the name in his mind once more, wondering if he had ever met such a woman before ”“ although it was unlikely. Regardless, he would bring the glass to his lips once more and allow the soothing liquid to remedy his desperate insides before placing the emptied cup across the counter.

”œThey call me, Exodus.”

Dominique froze as he spoke those words. She did not know what to do now, she was unarmed and a Sith was right before her. Had they tracked her down to serve her death for what she had taken from them? Surely he would not do it right here in the middle of a Casino”¦

”œInteresting name, Exodus.”

A brow lifted, noticing the inadvertent shivers flourishing throughout her rather fine-looking figure. Did the notification of being of such prowess frighten her? Impossible, he seen it her eyes ”“ she was fearless, the way she carried herself proved that she was at least obliquely capable of being ”˜valiant'. Leaning back on his stool, examining her bodily notions further, Exodus placed his hand within a canister, removing a tasteful straw from its containment before placing it within the hold of his naturally glossy lips.

”œIf I recall correctly...”

Dominique could not help but crack a grin at the man. Perhaps she had been mistaken in his intent. His form was quite”¦stunning one would say. From his hair, to his what appeared to be his toned body. Of course”¦his cloak and robes hid what most would normal be able to see and judge. She twisted her head to the side a bit before speaking once again.

”œPerhaps I was the one to speak to you”¦”

Dominique did not know how to respond to him at first. Perhaps she had not been wrong about this man, perhaps he was here to finish her off. As a Sith Lord he was certainly dangerous enough to do such. But then, she had been in worse situations”¦what was the worst that could come of this one?

Slowly the dark, slender figure that was Dominique stood. Her own tattered cloak fell down and hit the ground. She leaned her head forward and slipped her hood over her delicately rough features, if such a thing was possible. When she looked up her brilliant blue eyes met his.

”œA place to stay would be greatly appreciated.”

Nodding his head in respect, Exodus spun on his heel and exited the noise-filled establishment. His thirst to feel the force once more quickened his pace, the stolen shuttle remained in the distance, unharmed and unnoticed. Assuming Dominique still trailed, he pushed forward, slapping random codes into the abused keypad. Minutes later, it gave way, allowing exhaust to pour from the insides and give leverage to both him and the girl.

”œI've got to show you something.”

"Very uneventful trip," Brina agreed. As Kat and Brina walked, Kat suddenly made his suggestion.

Brina paused. "Are you sure you want me in your rooms, Kat? Cause you know if I do move in with you, I won't let you lie around drunk all day."

There was a tinge of humor showing through on her voice as she spoke. "But if you think you can accept that, where do I put my bags?"

Inwardly, Brina knew she had just taken the next step towards deepening their relationship. She wondered what that meant, and what it would do to change the relationship they currently had. She still didn't know how this whole thing was going to end up. It's a lot different than in fairy tales where the princess knows right away who her true love is, she thought. In real life, you have to use trial and error to find out who you're supposed to spend the rest of your life with--if anyone.

Granted, she knew her and Kat's relationship wasn't deep enough yet for her to be considering this, but at times, it was good to pull back and assess your dreams.

Rahalin exitted hyperspace a short distance from the Casino. He eased the shadowmasterinto the landing pattern and calmly awaited his turn. The landing was smooth and uneventful. A pleasant suprise awaited him, as upon entering the Casino the pin given to him on Coruscant got him through the usual inspection ritual and got his craft special attention. It pleased him to know that he was a valued employee, but he instructed the dock master not to place his ship somewhere where it would be easily identified as an employees.

After he settled accounts on the docks, he was given a berth in accomadations that when compared to the one's he had at the Hut's, were a luxury. He set his kit in, loaded himself with a few choice weapons and left a message to his employers about his arrival and the com frequencies he preffered. Finished he went down to the casino to see what he might and try his luck using some of his own funds.

The gaming area was the usual glitter and flash. He went immediately went to the Pazaak tables for a little light wagering, some conversation, and to eye the various customers. He quickly lost what money he had. That was okay, as he had set himself a limit and needed to eat anyway.

He filled up on the free stuff and retired to his quarters to await whatever duties his employers might have.

"I think that is probably a good thing... Ill have all of your things moved up if you would like, unless of course you want everything exactly where you want it." Grinning, Kat continued walking. Tapping some buttons on his wrist, he had an emergency cleaning crew go and attack his rooms, before pulling out the last cigarette from his pack and sparking it. Throwing away the pack, he took a few drags, and said

"I need to go and have a chat with the holo-secretary about a few new installations the link could use. There is a cleaning crew up in my rooms at the moment, so perhaps you would be better off getting your things packed up."

Giving her a quick kiss, he made his way into the casino's offices, and sat down in his own private one, before calling up the secretary. He asked her to hire a construction crew, an engineering team and a wiring crew. There was quite a bit of work that needed to be done on the casino before he was satisfied of its security. It was also about time that the link changed locations, It was begining to overstay its welcome. He had the secretary draw up a construction schedule, and had her add that the link would be moving towards naboo when construction was finished, so all link personelle would be best to return to the casino before the construction was complete.

Eventually Rahalin grew tired of waiting and set out to explore the Casino. He took with him the tools of his trade and a datapad marked "Employees only" On it was a map that detailed all of those levels of the Casino that were accessible to employees, but at the same time not so well protected that access to the information had to be limited. He wandered the station, stopping only to take care of the barest neccessities and to sleep, memorizing what he could of its layout and making notes about the various details he might someday need.

It was during one of these inspections that he saw a familiar face rounding a corner. He followed, keeping to the shadows in the discreetly lit area of the casino, finally slipping in a room behind the woman.

He was surprised to find that she was simply returning to her rooms where she was obviously a guest of the Casino. He mentally shook his head. It was not often that one ran into the being that massacred the entire court of a Hutt Crime lord. He wandered what she was doing here, then he saw her conferring with a small astromech droid.

"Yes," said the woman, "the master's ship will be delivered soon. Removing the Hutt made sure our little ship dealer wouldn't renege on our deal. He felt he could cheat us with an inferior product, but he won't be making that mistake again."

After a beep or two from the small astromech she spoke again, "Yes, my sensors tell me too that the little shadow is in this room. Despite his profession, he really is better than the entirety of the Hutt's court. He has both skill and a certain morality, that's why he was allowed to live."

She stared directly at Rahalin. He shivered at the deadness in those eyes, realizing what he had thought to be an unbelievelably skilled Jedi was instead a human form 'droid. She spoke directly to him, "Leave the room little shadow and forget you ever saw me. " Rahalin did so, wanting no part of a droid whose programming allowed it to kill with such impunity.

Instead of going to his quarters, however, Rahalin went to the nearest work out faclity where he asked and recieved some very discreet training in certain combat skills that he believed had grown rusty.

Brina smiled, but as Kat left, the smile faded, and she sighed. What was she doing here? What were they paying her to do? Sit around and keep house for Kat? She wasn't about to let that happen.

Slightly frustrated, she went to her new rooms and changed into a low, V-neck, jumpsuit ((look at my sig... )). She pulled her hair back, and headed down to the hanger of the floating Casino.

On the way down, she stopped by a training room in the Employee's Only section of the casino. She went in, but was surprised to see it occupied by a man ((Rahalin)), engaged in very specialized combat training.

"Oh, uh, I'm sorry," Brina said, not recognizing the man. "Who are you, and what are you doing down here in the Employee's Only hall?"

She didn't want to be rude, but she was curious. Unless Kat had failed to mention a new emplyee to her, which she seriously doubted, he had no business being down here.

Finally having a chance to check his comm, kat was astonished to find a comm from zara telling her that the blacksun meeting had gone bad despite the presence of the jedi, and that ronin was in trouble. Tapping on his commlink, he shot a very quick aknowledgement off to zara, before sending another comm to brina

"Ronin and zara are in trouble, I dont have time to explain. Ill be back soon.

Love kat."

Kats mind was already ticking over as he bolted for the panther, only stopping to pick up his duel blaster pistols, his vibrosword and his crossbow, along with a set of thermal detonators and some grenades.

When he was aboard the panther, he quickly fired it up, and took it into hyperspace as quickly as he could, heading for coruscant.

<> fyi, Rahalin is a Wraith <>

Gradually, Rahalin realized he was not alone. Still, the program that was running in the combat drones he was dealing with could not be turned off until the exercise was over. He barely spared a glance for the newcomer until he had dropped the last drone with a well placed strike.

He walked over to the newcome, sweating from his exertions. The Defel assassin carefully sized the new comer up from a short distance away and decided that she was currently just being cautious and was not going to attack him.

Slowly, so as not to alarm her and precipitate any rash actions, he walked over to the bench where he had left his regular clothes and armor and picked up the shirt onto which he had placed the pin given to him back at the Coruscanti headquarters of the Link.

He walked over to Brina displaying the pin for her to see as he did so. "Names Rahalin. Yes, I am a new employee, just hired in. Oversaw a few things back on Coruscant then followed orders to head over here and wait. Found myself losing my edge rather quickly and came down here looking to shake some of the rust off."

Rahalin smile ruefully at her and the mess that was the remnants of the droids he had been fighting. "As you can see, my skills aren't One hundred percent but they are rapidly coming back."

He paused and thought a moment before going on in a cold, flat voice, "And you would be? And don't tell me you are the local entertainment or bar-girl. It wouldn't be professional."

Brina was curious. She had never met a Defel before, but she had studied their species, and she recognized that Rahalin was one of them.

She hid a smile at his last flat comment. Little did he know that she had only recently vacated a job doing just that... "I'm Brina Thalin," she introduced herself. "I work as a pilot here with the Link. And one of your only co-workers."

The red-headed woman made no comment on his combat skills, but nevertheless she was impressed dispite his claim that he was rusty. Not many beings could dispatch that many droids so easily.

"How long have you been working at the Link, Rahalin, and what were you hired to do?" she asked. "I apologize for not having met you earlier...I've been away on assignment."

The guy was nice enough, Brina thought. A little dry, but that was alright with her. She most likely wouldn't be working directly with him much anyway...she just felt like it would be a good thing to get aquainted with him. She believed in meeting as may people as she could in her line of work; not only could they pay off if she needed a favor, but they could be handy other ways as well.

Rahalin took a moment to size up Brina after her last statement. "You probably a very good pilot, but I think more. Most pilots don't take the time to keep themselves as trim as you are." He knew the standards by which human's judged each other even if he could not comprehend them.

"As for me, I am a new hire. Someone decided my last boss had outlived his life expentancy and decided his court needed repainting in red. I was left alive. Left my master's court in a hurry and headed to the Link and impressed someone enough to be hired as a special projects advisor. I was told to head here and wait. Nice place to wait."

He paused a moment, considering his last meeting with that being that had terminated his boss and switched topics back to his former employer's demise. "Would you believe my initial reaction during that carnage that I was seeing a fallen Jedi? I have seen enough footage of Jedi to understand that they are able to react differently than most and that was what this person was doing. In addition, this assassin tore the arms of a Gamorean and beat a dozen people with them so I though I was seeing a very physically powerful Jedi."

"Then to my horror, I get this new job, come here and run into the same person. She lets me go, but not before I learn that she was not a jedi. Somewhere out there is a humanoid form droid whose skills I want to match someday, but i never want to come up against."

He switched topics again, "You said you had been out on assignment. What were you doing for the Link? Or is it as you humans say, too personal?" Rahalin closely watches Brina, hoping to gauger her reaction.

She listened with interest, especially noting the information about the deadly droid. She might have to look into that...it was curious that she had gotten by the scanners unnoticed. However, when he asked her more about herself, she answered readily.

"No, it's not too personal," she said lightly. "I was most recently on a run with Kat Nargal, delivering some supplies to one of our customers on Naboo."

She shrugged. "There are lots of runs like that. Most of the time, I'm not told the cargo...after all," she said with a small laugh, "I'm just the pilot, not in charge of this sort of thing."

Brina nodded to the other employee. "And what about you? What are you doing with the Link?"

Her comlink was beeping softly, but she ignored it for now. She could check it later--most likely, it was nothing important.

A quiet chime erupted from the bag that held Rahalin's street clothes. He grimaced as he had not placed anything in there that should make a beeping sound. He began to move purposely towards the door when a familiar and unwelcome voice sounded from within the bag.

"Seems you are everywhere I look little wraith. Twigged a small report of a private network of the link you might be interested in. Seems Zara is giving birth and might want a little help in the form of your escort duties. Then again, you have to consider whom is talking to you."

Rahalin turned back to Brina. "Yes, that is the droid."

The droid continued, "Which reminds me, name's Kala. My residence happens to be 1 Temple Way, Coruscant. I wouldn't advise looking me up in anything other than a friendly manner."

Rahalin blinked and then turned to Brina. "If you don't mind, could you make sure the nursery is ready? I am sure there is a droid or medical practioner whom you could find that would know if everything possible has been done."

Not bother to look behind him, Rahalin headed for his ship to retrieve a few items. On the way to the room, he ordered the Links attending physician to accompany him and bring whatever he needed to care for a pair of newborns and their mother and ordered a freighter pilot from the reserve roster. When he got to the bay, the dockmaster was waiting for him.

One look at the man's ashen face had Rahalin ready to drop to the ground at a moment's notice. He stopped, though, when he realized that the man wasn't nervous but rather was recovering from a definate fright.

In a quavering voice, the grizzled man handed Rahalin a datapad. "Cool customer comes through here an hour ago, tells me to give you that YT-2400 sitting in slip 007. Calls it the Ti something. When I tried to ask what was going on, she picked me up and shook me like a rag doll. Those two boys tried to stop her, only she moved like a jedi or something. Said to tell you she wasn't worried and neither should you as long as you stay away from her and hers."

Rahalin nodded. One look at the ship told him it was far different than any 2400 series he had ever seen.

He climbed aboard just as the doctor, his assisstant, and another pilot showed. We waived them onboard and told them to pick a room. A couple of stevedores loaded a cargo bay under the close supervision of one of the doctor who eventually gave Rahalin the go ahead.

The wraith immediately decided to push the engines to get a feel for the craft's handling. He blinked when he realized that as big as the craft was, it could probably outmaneuver some starfighters with the right pilot behind the helm. He looked at the unfamiliar markings and wondered whose ship it had been before. As they entered hyperspace to head towards Coruscant, he realized that the ship probably was ex-military since it was fairly well maintained, cleaned, and well provisioned.

Zara had spent the trip lying down resting, letting Rahalin pilot the ship back to the Casino. Once they were back she nodded to him, indicating a bonus for a speedy return.

"After the meeting with Black Sun, how they turned it into a trap, we need to be fully on the alert for intruders, infiltrators into the Casino. They declared war on us and we need to be on the alert in every way. They could pose as patrons to scout us out, to see what our weakness is. We're going to make sure that there are none. I want this place safe for both patrons, staff and my family alike. All aspects of this Casino are to be gone over. I want it safe to bring my babies back here."

She recalled the first exercise that Kat employed that Bounty Hunter for... he'd had the plans stolen. She now wanted the older security measures changed, upgraded. Zara went up to her penthouse, indicating for Rahalin to follow and also sending a comm to Brina, telling her that she'd returned and that she would like to see her up in the penthouse.

Arriving in there, Zara was greeted by an estatic Rascal, the large black cat giving a rumbling purr deep in his throat as she patted him in greeting. She spent a while petting the cat before moving to the security panel, indicating for her employee's to join her in going over every inch of the security of the Casino. She would welcome any suggestions no matter what they were. She also put out a call for some Bounty Hunters. She would put a price on the Black Sun operatives, Piccolo and Fett in particular.

As Rahalin suddenly ran out, Brina was left seething. Just because he had a secret contact who conveniently was watching Zara on Coruscant, as it appeared she was, didn't mean he had to run off doing her job! The security guy shouldn't be doing the pilot's job...

Fuming, the firey red-head was heading up to the main office when she remembered her chirping comlink. The message was from Kat, who had apparently run off to Coruscant with a notion of revenge. Well, she couldn't blame him. But she did wish she had checked it sooner, and she could've followed him, rather than being stuck here at the Casino. Although, she had to admit, someone had to be around to keep an eye on things.

But she felt like being mad, and didn't care that it looked like a childish temper tantrum.

And the problem was, this wasn't the only time when she had felt misplaced or misused. She was underappreciated. She hadn't had very many real jobs in her whole time that she had been with the Link. If it wasn't for the rare occasions she did get, she might consider leaving the organization. But she would be no good as a pirate, and there weren't many other jobs like this out there.

Her comlink beeped again, this time having a message from Zara, saying she had returned to the casino and wanted to see her. Well, Brina'd go, all right...but she probably needed to cool down a bit first.

She took a deep breath, and tried to calm her frustration. In...out...in...out. Focus on something else... she thought.

Eventually, she felt a little better. Smoothing down her wavy hair, she headed up to the penthouse and knocked on the door.

Rahalin came around a bend in the corridor toward the penthouse suite that housed Zara Nergal while she stayed on the Casino and caught sight of Brina standing at the doorway.

"Brina," he said, "Zara's safe here on the Casino. We came back from Coruscant quite alright."

Quietly he whispered, "Zara had her twins, but made the decision to leave them behind at the Last Call. Pity those from Black Sun whom ever make the attempt on those children. The owner and staff of that establishment may be as dangerous in their own way as you are." A second glance caused him to reiterate that statement. "Correction, almost as dangerous. Its funny, I envy your ability to enter into any croud of humans and dissappear. Me, I have to work at it."

"Just one more question, if you had orders to murder someone and were given your choice of how to kill that person, how would you go about it?"

At the sight of Rahalin, Brina's anger lept again a bit, but she pushed it back down. She was glad that Zara had had her twins...but it was horrible that she had to leave them at the Last Call, no matter how safe it was. Something must have happened with the Black Sun...

She was full of a dreaded curiousity to learn what had transpired on Coruscant...but in the meantime, she would answer Rahalin's question.

"Ordered to murder someone?" she frowned. "I can't say I've ever murdered anyone--I generally try to avoid jobs like that. However, I suppose if I had to...I would go for something subtle. I'd track them down and go undercover, then poison them or make the death look like an accident. That would be the way to avoid any unpleasant run-ins with the law too."

She couldn't help but wonder if this had something to do with the droid woman. "Is it too personal to ask why you're asking me this?"

Hearing voices outside the penthouse, Zara poked her head out the door, seeing Brina and Rahalin,

"Hi guys, if you can help me in here a moment. Don't mind Rascal, he'll get used to you."

She looked at Brina,

"Sorry Kat had to run off on you like that, he got my comm. The meeting went bad, Ronin went instead of me and they ended up attacking him. They set a trap for us. If I had of gone, they would have probably been holding me and my twins ransom right now instead of them being safe with their Godfather at the Last Call. Kheldar delivered Kalyani and Kane... Auntie Brina. I can't wait for you to see them. You do know that we consider you family. That you're more than 'just a pilot' don't you?"

She showed Brina and Rahalin the holo footage she'd made of the meeting with Black Sun (Upper Levels thread) up to where they attacked Ronin and the feed went dead.

"I'd like for you both to go over the security with me, anything you think we need to upgrade let me know, or better yet, just go ahead and do it... just let me know which it is you upgrade. We had those early plans stolen so we need to upgrade everything."

She indicated the security monitors and consoles. Rascal now smooching by her side, her hand automatically petting the big cat.
