The comm had interrupted and annoyed Kain. He quickly sent a reply, making a note to personally look into the situation later. Right now, he was reading field reports of action that had occurred on Mandalore. Apparently there had been a splinter Sith, some self-fashioned pretender to the throne named Ab'ki that had managed to round up a rather large army and assault the Mandalorians. What an idiotic thing to do. Firstly, they held no tactically advantageous territory, and secondly, it was like purposefully sticking one's genitals in a hornet's nest and expecting to not get stung. Of course her forces had been decimated, but apparently they had given the Mandalorians a good run for their money. One name stuck out to him in the tactical reports, an agent that had been hired on and managed to gain a prestigious position in a short amount of time. One that likely would have been able to secure victory on the Mandalore front had the whole plan not been terrible in the first place. But it wasn't the first time an organic had been duped by promises of power. And a genetic sample was on file as well, but with a brainscan that was dated prior to the battle. For two seconds, Kain weighed various factors. She was dead, doing nothing would cost him nothing. But extending his benevolence also cost him near nothing, and could gain a powerful ally when all other cards were on the table. Kain had never been known to gamble, AIs tended to rely on solid facts and figures, but the variables here didn't guarantee positive results, and the margin of error was wide enough that the smallest hint of uncertainty churned in the back of his processes. But strength came from the unlikliest of places, and gathering strength was an ideal he clung to. On a whim, Kain sent out instructions. Should he regret this in the future, he was more than capable of handling a potential disappointment. Out the cockpit canopy of The Sword Logic, the Interdictor Destroyer was nearing completion. Construction of the interior was all that was left, the superstructure had been finished for a while now. Of course, Kain's specifications were precise. This wasn't a bread and butter stiff Empire ship, the interior would be fashioned after debauched Hapan styles, except done in dark shades befitting the Sith. Lastly, the ship and its fighters would be painted matte black, a measure that would make it easier for it to prey on other ships. To compensate, the starfighter pilots would have their helmet HUDs updated to be able to better track shipmates and tagged enemy craft.
  2. A comm returns to the droid, addressed to the Blood Gem Pirates:
  3. In the Sith garrison on the northern hemisphere of the moon, a man sat at a console, playing Angry Porgs on a datapad. For a long time, he didn't even notice the flashing red light on the console, an alert panel that could be signalled by one of several roving scout groups, in charge of enforcing as well as ensuring things flowed smoothly on the planet. Normally, the only alerts were possible gang activities near the garrison, which were easily fended off. As such, whoever manned the station tended to keep it on mute. When he finally did glance over, the number of alerts immediately made his heart drop into his gut. This...wasn't good. As he began reading them, then darted his eyes to a tactical readout screen to his right, he realized this wasn't some simple gang violence. The Sith hadn't slated them any reinforcements for some time, even those that manned his post were really only a skeleton crew meant to hold the fort down until a larger force came to occupy the place. They were never actually there to defend the place from a full on military assault. There was no feasible way they could mount any semblance of an actual resistance. Sure, they could take some Imperials with them as they died, but fanatic loyalty? That was reserved for elite guards and shock troops, not the personnel the Sith had sent there. After a minute of thinking about what to do, the man sent a comm to all Sith forces on the planet, notifying them of the invading presence. Then he sent a comm to Korriban to make the rest of them aware of the situation. Then, he ripped his uniform, wearing parts as wraps, trying as best as he could to look like one of the local populace, and left the small garrison. No need to give up his life for a hopeless cause. Construction was proceeding as scheduled for the Interdictor Destroyer being built over Korriban. The superstructure was completed, and a handful of areas even had rudimentary life support. The large gravwell domes were now under construction, mostly just arcs of durasteel at this point.

Kain's ship pulled out of hyperspace like a bullied white kid pulling a firearm from a backpack, and immediately he set to work. Contacting all manner of construction contractors, work began to build a large ship, an Interdictor-class Star Destroyer, as repayment for the Gems allowing the Sith to use Nar Shaddaa as a base of financial operations. It was likely the only ship they would get from the Sith, but they had chosen well when the request was initially made. The credits would flow. The Sith would have chaos to point a finger at, and the galactic governments would be that much more destabilized. All according to the plan. Execute.
  6. For the most part, construction proceeded rapidly. The damage from the struggle with the Deceiver was all but hidden by the repairs, only a few final touches from contracted restoration artists would bring the artistry back to the palace, and that would take some time to complete. The other facilities were built, more or less, skeletons capable of performing function over design appeal. Right now, Kain's work was done. The Sword Logic lifted from its spot, climbing high into orbit. Soon, the Sith would have this world in their grasp. Whether they could defend it would be an interesting question, but Kain was ready to tackle the task by laying groundwork elsewhere.
  7. All across the galaxy, several smaller news outlets up for purchase were bought out by shell companies, the umbrella company for which was known as Suledin-Incon Technologies and Holonetworks. A larger holochannel broadcasting license was secured, and broadcasts began to display on the 517 Holonews Network. Many of these broadcasts and media outlets were spinning pro-Sith stories for anything that had to do with the Sith, and many negative opinions were put forth on the GA and their utter lack of ability to protect their citizens, among other things. Of course, any financial link to the Sith as a whole was kept very well buried. Kain knew how to operate at a level that would baffle the most diligent digger.
  8. The Marie dropped its jamming as soon as Faust was eliminated, the threat had been taken care of. There was still the threat of CoreSec, but they had largely started to stand down, and so in turn did the Sith fleet. The St. Cathryne deactivated its weapons systems, relaying a message to the Onderonian defense fleet letting them know everything was now fine on the surface, but that the Sith would be staying to ensure cleanup efforts would remain unimpeded. Diplomatic proceedings to include a truce and potential alliance were in talks down on the planet surface, and there was nothing to currently fear from the Sith. An offer was even included inviting the ODF to participate in friendly war games to pass the time and to sharpen their skills. If they resisted peace, Kain would find a way to simply destroy them. Meanwhile, Kain extracted himself from underground, checking on the status of his digital viral infections, and after a bit received a networked response that the viruses had blanketed most of the critical infrastructure systems on the planet. Within little time, he would be able to subtly manipulate things on a larger scale. An economy was a delicate thing, but an AI dedicated to making subtle changes could drastically alter things for the better or worse. Meanwhile, the construction crews continued their jobs, having almost made major progress in repairing the larger structures of the royal palace. Elsewhere, crews began construction on other, newer structures. Public shelters in the case of natural disasters or invasions, as well as improvements to some of the ODF's defensive capabilities, though those would likely take a while. All of this was constantly relayed in concise textual reports to the Dark Lord. Everything was proceeding according to his design. Here the Sith would stand. Here they would regain their glory and use Onderon and its system as a springboard to blanket the rest of the galaxy in security through force. The weak would be culled, the unworthy used as best they could, and the strong would rise. Kain returned to his craft, disguised once more as the Ambassador so as not to raise alarms, and sat in the cockpit. There was much to do in the galaxy, and was high time he reached out and did it.
  9. It took little more than a moment to establish a solid landline connection to a suitable comm relay far enough away from Iziz that it extended suitably past the jamming. A few firewalls were annoying, but little more than that for a being comprised of electronic code. A few moments more, and the St. Cathryne had appraised him of the situation. The ship had warmed up its remaining weapons and had them trained on the approaching Onderonian ships. Relaying a comm through the MC-30, Kain addressed the fleet, his voice mimicking the one he'd used mere minutes earlier, that of Ambassador Lane Cook. "Lieutenant McGarvey, this is Sith Ambassador Lane Cook. Please, there is no need for alarm. There is a jurisdictional dispute on the planet below between the Sith and CoreSec, and a petition has been submitted to the royal palace through another ambassador to allow neutral arbitration to occur without Onderonian interference. The situation is being handled diplomatically, but it is very tense. Recommend you stand by if you wish until we are ordered to release our jamming field, but the dispute is solely with CoreSec and the Galactic Alliance. We can also relay transmissions to your government in the meantime. Also, the citizenry of Onderon are at minimal risk. As a gesture of goodwill-" Kain sent the order for the St. Cathryne to power the weapons systems targeting the Onderon militia ships down, which was carried out immediately, but the ARC fighters still swarmed nearby to cover the ship, and the weapons trained on the X4 gunship remained active. Of course, the shields still remained up as well. "As you can see, we are here to defend our interests. We have no desire to initiate a war, but realize that if fired upon, we are more than capable of defending ourselves. Please help us avoid an intergalactic incident here." If they did fire, however, things would get interesting very quickly. Political posturing was always a fragile thing.
  10. The lieutenant running off was what Kain silently paid close attention to, relaying a message up to the St. Cathryne to monitor for comm traffic. Even if encrypted, Kain wanted to be apprised if that was indeed what was going on. Pieces were in motion. Moments later, he was rewarded with the intercepted unencrypted comm, complete with the signature of a CoreSec Commissioner. By now, his viruses had permeated Iziz, and were spreading rapidly through the planetary infrastructure, piggybacking on normal data streams passing through heavily used servers. They would come to play their part. Which was when he also received the other message from the St. Cathryne relayed from Exodus. A storm is coming. That could only mean one thing. As the Dark Lord approached, Kain, as Cook, bowed, excusing himself. With the Dark Lord present, there was no need to act as his voice. He merely returned to his ship, and once out of sight, quickly scrambled down the manhole he had intentionally landed his craft on, ensuring to secure the lid behind him. Time was of the essence, now. Quickly, Kain commed a hastily written program up to the St. Cathryne, to be loaded into a comm beacon and fired out well away from the planet. The beacon would send a message once it was at range, and await for further replies on the same comm channel. Meanwhile, the Marie was commanded to stand by for a specific set of instructions. It took a few moments to locate an electronics junction box in the tunnels underground, the city schematics he'd managed to find in the walk to his ship were years out of date. But it wasn't too far away from its original marked location, and thankfully allowed him to hard wire himself into the city networks. As Kain began integrating into the system, his appearance shifted again, ditching the pleasant face of Ambassador Cook for one of a dirty and grizzled utilities worker, just in case anyone were to happen upon him, however unlikely it was. After the second or so it took to spoof a vast network of addresses to bounce his digital location from, he began by ensuring the main populace would be deterred from the area. Traffic advisories, weather alerts, crime warnings...Kain triggered them all in rapid succession and in multiple ways, encouraging people to stay in their homes and avoid certain areas of Iziz at all costs. Contrary to popular belief, the Sith actually did value a thriving society, albeit a controlled and guided one. And then, like a jigsaw puzzle finally falling into place, Kain sent the final commands, and the Marie began broadcasting comm jamming to cover a large area that spanned well beyond Iziz. The St. Cathryne was ordered to fire on the X4 gunship if it attempted to leave Iziz airspace or attacked Sith assets. To this end, its weapons spun up, readying a salvo of heavy proton torpedoes and a flurry of medium turbolaser fire. Meanwhile, a comm was sent to Coruscant from the comm beacon that was zooming away from Onderon and well outside the jamming field, mimicking closely the one sent by CoreSec moments earlier, to include the credentials of the Commissioner. If a reply was received on the same channel, the program on the beacon was designed to also respond. Kain began immersing himself into the city's street cameras and lighting grid, tapping into certain lights he could strobe extremely fast, much faster than a carbon based eye could normally detect. Soon, he would breathe and the city would breathe with him.
  11. The ambassador hesitated before replying to Tenebris, mostly for show. Kain knew what needed to be said, even how to craft the words, but to play the part well was the touch of a master. As he continued, self replicating encrypted computer worms based on blockchain encoding began spreading across networked computer systems in Iziz, and even around the planet, bit by bit. The growth rate would be small at first, but it would quickly grow, mutating the sequencing with every hop so as to remain as innocuous as regular data traffic as possible. "You see, Commissioner, I will try and grant you a controlled audience with Faust as soon as I can, but the truth is he is hard for even us to contain. Even recently we had to purge our own ranks from his loyal spies and agents, and that still may not have contained the threat he represents. One thing you had called him previously - a terrorist - is a very apt descriptor, and unfortunately he is very skilled in what he does." Ambassador Cook took a few steps away, surveying what he could of the palace, noticing already there was still smoke rising from it as a construction ship hovered on repulsive power above, long craning mechanical arms drooping down to begin to pluck away at the rubble. "As for our fleet, well...we rather disagree for the time being. We feel there may be more threats that Faust has left behind, as he is rather notorious for doing. From booby traps to sleeper cells, the man is rather insidious, and we'd prefer to be thorough when it comes to the matter of cleanup and containment. He even had access at one point to biochemical weapons the likes of which would turn the most hardened chemist pale, let me assure you. We're, uh...not exactly proud of those times anymore." Cook turned again back to the ambassador, smiling warmly. "And we intend to do more than rebuild, we intend to reinforce the planet, especially Iziz and similar sized cities, from this ever happening again. After all, it's the least we can do. The GA has gone this whole time without strengthening those it subjugates, demanding taxes and fealty but providing minimal benefits...I mean, if a lone albeit skilled madman did this much damage, imagine what a small crew of highly determined people could do? I've heard Nar Shaddaa is getting bolder in the attacks its criminals carry out, going so far as to raid smaller population, less defended worlds. So we can build weapon emplacements to ward off starfighter assaults, as well as a few armories and starfighters for the Onderonian guard. While we're on the subject, you don't happen to have a particular weapon or set of armor you've been wanting lately? I hear CorSec's expense accounts had to be reduced recently to pay for GA fleet costs and upkeep." The smile on Cook's face was wide and genuine. After all, friendliness and first impressions were important to him.
  12. ((Making a few assumptions here for the sake of getting this show on the road. If anything isn't kosher with assuming Xae landed safely in the square, let me know, I can delete.)) 'Ambassador Lane Cook' stepped forth from his TIE Punisher, the Sith fleet having finally safely escorted the shuttle to the ground. A small landing pod of Sith troops followed in close behind, mainly to serve as honor guard and escort for the Dark Lord. Eagerly, but timidly, the man sought out the nearest CoreSec agent, identifying himself as the ambassador and requested to speak with the local authority on scene. Silently, he also found a wireless network and began tapping into global networks, trying to find critical junctures and looking for weaknesses. It wouldn't hurt to have an ace up the sleeve if things didn't go peacefully. Meanwhile, in the space above Onderon, a construction fleet pulled out of hyperspace, continuing towards Onderon. One of the ships rendezvoued with the St. Cathryne, delivering supplies, while the rest proceeded to Iziz, waiting for clearance. As soon as the Ambassador found Tenebris, he began gushing with enthusiasm. "Commissioner! It is good to finally meet you face-to-face. Firstly, yes, Faust submitted himself willingly into our custody. We will deal with him as is Sith tradition. At this moment, that doesn't mean execution, as he has proven able to bypass the headsman's axe, as it were, but we will ensure justice is enforced. I cannot express how relieved I am that your forces didn't suffer severe casualties. Now, I believe we were to discuss collateral while repairs were made? This collective fleet and assembled forces will serve as collateral. Onderon will be protected by the might of the Sith, and will be rebuilt stronger than she was."
  13. On a large holonet forum site, a topic began to go viral: a debate on ethics of the Jedi and Sith as a whole. For people or beings of supernatural power, all of them tended to cause unbelievable collateral damage wherever they went. It was a topic that had been widely debated before, even the very existence of the Survivor's Foundation, while benign and helpful in nature almost seemed to subsidize this activity. And then there was the large open illegal bounty posted by someone of unknown origin with the opinion that that these super beings were more harmful in society than beneficial. The question posed thusly was is there a place in society for beings of immense capability foe destruction? Should there be limits and laws set? What about the Sith, who seemed to take the opposite stance recently and had begun to rebuild the ancient Sith Empire upon modern philosophies and principles, allowing these powerful Force users governance from the top down? Did they hold a valid view of the galaxy as it was? A vocal but unknown user, netname AK-666, posed a line of questions to the masses that started to gain viral attention: if Force users were gotten rid of, the population of the known galaxy would be at risk from the lurking unknowns of the universe that Force Users would be useful and have been useful in the past at repelling. Shouldn't the dangers of the unknown be put to heavy balance against that opinion? After all, in an infinite universe, the probability that another invasion would occur was practically guaranteed, it was simply a matter of when. If anything, registration and control over Force Users, especially by other Force Users capable of containing them, was paramount to strengthening the galactic population to properly repel invaders if and when they came. Of course, heavy allusions were made towards the Sith in their recent attempts to reform themselves as less of a band of murderous violent terrorists to more of an actual organization worthy of galactic recognition as a governing body. They were, of course, reigning in their own, and while certain Sith were still at large and incidents had occurred, some had even resulted in the public trial and execution of a few of their own, mostly with loyalties to someone other than the Dark Lord Exodus, but also a few other heinously violent Sith as an example.
  14. A medium sized group of transport ships carrying construction equipment, medical supplies, food, and other amenities was procured, collected and/or constructed on Mechis, and organized for departure to head to the Onderon system. Supplies were also organized to replenish the Sith fleet, to include a large procurement of some mines of Hapan design that could easily become useful in the future. After all the arrangements were completed and the ships successfully organized in formation in orbit, the ships launched into hyperspace, ready to make good on the promise of the Sith.
  15. Kain, now in the guise of a blond human, furrowed his brows. The shuttle was an interesting variable, one that could mean many things, even if it only held what sensor readouts and this commissioner claimed it did. But Kain was having none of it. He signaled to his comms officer, ordering the starfighters in pursuit to form up in an honor guard escort formation, and if the shuttle deviated, to fire on it. The Sith were still in the dominant position, and It was not something the AI was willing to let slip. Opening the comm channel back up, the cool, friendly voice of Lane Cook once again rolled across the microphone. "You have no idea how happy it makes me, Commissioner, that you are willing to work with us. I know there has been heavy stigma from the Sith in the past, that we have been the genesis flashpoint of some of the worst things the Galaxy has ever had to deal with, Faust included, and mistrust and tensions are high on both sides of this right now. But make no mistake, the Sith fully intend to right their past wrongs the Galaxy has had to endure. Their philosophy has changed, and with it comes a new era of growth and prosperity for all under their protective umbrella...but listen to me wax poetic. This will be a smooth and transparent operation as we can make it." Kain cut the comm, completely ignoring confirmation of many of the requests the commissioner made, glossing them over with silver-tongued propaganda. Of course, their terms would be held to by members of the Sith fleet, but it was poor form to outright acknowledge that in case the situation went sideways. Politics. Always politics. Orders went out to the fleet. The Dark Lord was updated on the situation, and a recommendation was submitted to him on a diplomatic plan of extraction. The Marie was ordered to follow the honor guard in, taking a high atmospheric stance of dominance over Iziz, while the St. Cathryne would remain in higher orbit with the rest of the starfighters to provide a screen against enemy reinforcements jumping in-system. The Onderon forces might have been a match for the Sith fleet, but they were also spread out across the whole planet...and if they attacked first then the Sith merely had their provocation for a war. The knife was to the throat, it was up to them whether or not it drew blood. Another encrypted comm was sent to Luciferian Gamma, updating him on the situation and recommending Faust's movement towards the square. Finally, word was sent to gather another construction fleet. In moments, Kain had boarded his shuttle, temporarily transferring command to Sheog, who seemed to be coordinating much of the fleet movements already, as the fleet moved slightly faster than orders were being sent. The Sword Logic engaged its engines at high speed, rushing to meet with the descending honor guard and trail behind them. Faust's hand off would be delicate and required finesse...and nothing the Sith possessed had more finesse than Kain.
  16. Kain smiled as he heard the comm. Finally...progress. The trick the rest of his fleet had pulled off with the comm was interesting, no doubt a trick of the Force from one of the other Sith present, perhaps even the workings of the Dark Lord himself. Exodus was present, even if only to observe, like Kain was supposed to. Currently, Kain was aware of the spectacle on Coruscant, and had done some digging into Vladimir Faust's past as Darth Luciferian, enough to know he was a thorn in the side of what the Sith aimed to become. Some saw potential, others saw nothing but trouble. What Exodus saw, well...Kain could only speculate. But, it was time to take some initiative. He opened a comm to the Commissioner that had hailed them, adopting a calm, pleasing, neutral tone. The tone of a well-seasoned diplomat. While he talked, he gave directions via text instructions relayed via a datapad to have the fleet spread out a bit but to keep its current distance. The net would unwind, and should those on the surface try anything stupid like attempting to subdue Faust and take him off world, the Sith would be ready. "Commissioner...It is good to hear a reasonable voice. I am Ambassador Lane Cook, I represent the interests of the Sith. And while I can respect your claim of jurisdiction, I doubt you have the facilities to deal with someone the likes of Vladimir Faust. We also both know that if you fire on us, we will treat it as an open act of war, and I'm not certain you have the ability to completely repel the forces assembled without amassing a terribly long list of casualties, and honestly, I'm sure neither of us wants that. You see, we're here to take Vladimir Faust into custody, to adequately hold him until we can pass judgement on his interference in galactic territories and causing intergalactic incidents. "The forces assembled in your system are to ensure he does not escape us, as well as to help prevent further collateral losses, if necessary. We are also prepared to assist and pay for cleanup and rebuilding efforts for any infrastructure damage, and to cover insurance claims of civilian loss of life as a direct result of his actions. So you see...we come peacefully, Commissioner...the olive branch has been extended. Kindly allow us to assist, or you may turn him over to us if you with to subdue him yourselves. But we will also not leave without him. He is our responsibility, not the responsibility of the people of Onderon or the Galactic Alliance. And while I can negotiate on their behalf, many of the Sith present, to include the fleet commander, are not the patient type...they will not want to wait forever. Just something to keep in mind." Kain muted his end of the communication, staring down at the planet. While he may have merely been an AI, one of the things he prided himself on was a level of intuition above that of most organics, such that manipulation and politics were things that came naturally to him. The ball was now in their court...Kain was intrigued to see how this E'lann man would play.
  17. Kain's lip curled into a snarl as the identified Jedi fleet fled the system. He placed his own ships on high alert, understanding that this may be a trap, but for now they would wait until Gamma updated them. Sheog would likely sense Faust, or so Kain surmised based on how the Force worked and the information the Hutt was passing his tactical and ops officers, but Faust might also be in a situation where attempting to extract him would only seal his fate. Until Kain was certain, he did not wish to risk it or the wrath of the Dark Lord for failing...and without enough known variables, the chances of failure were high. Kain sat back in the command chair, and stared at the system in front of him. And now...we wait. ...Execute...
  18. The St. Cathryne pulled out of hyperspace, immediately picking up several corvettes not assigned to the GA on the long range sensors. Kain called the ship and its sister ship to battlestations immediately, ready if necessary for a confrontation. Meanwhile, control of the group's starfighters was handed over to Delta. Unfortunately, during the hyperspace jump there was an uncharted small asteroid cluster drifting through the space lane, causing the immediate destruction of several of their starfighters, to include half the TIE Defenders they'd originally set off with and most of the Black Sun starfighter assets as well ((See Delta's post above for what survived)). No matter, they were still prepared for war. Kain paced the bridge, eyes locked on the point in space where the three distant ships hung. Probabilities were high that they were an enemy force, though Kain was unwilling to make the first move on the off chance that he'd merely gain another enemy for the Sith. That would only hinder the Sith on their path to becoming the rising dominant galactic power. Instead, they would proceed towards Onderon at one half sublight speeds, monitoring the other ships carefully. An encrypted comm message was broadcast to the surface of Onderon at a 'Luciferian Gamma':
  19. Kain quickly docked with the St. Cathryne, arriving at the bridge in little time at all. The pieces were in motion, and every player at their place. Command was clearly established between the starfighter wings, with Delta commanding his ship and the Tie Defenders as well as 8 of the K-wings, 8 of the Tie Interdictors, and 5 of the Assault Bombers. Kain took command of the remainder of the fleet for the time being. Slaving all ships together, the battlegroup jumped into hyperspace, destined for Onderon.
  20. Kain's ship and the rest of his forces pulled out of Hyperspace at the predetermined coordinates, awaiting link up with Delta's ships. ((Edit: fleet forces include 24 Tie Defenders, 24 Tie Interdictors, and 24 K-wings. Loadouts for the latter two can be found below: ))

((Permission to do this from Exodus)) As Delta began to turn and leave, Kain spoke up. "Wait." Information was relayed to him, important information. Exodus was busy, but Kain was an extension of his will, and thus privvy to certain communiques. The fleet would be needed. Kain stood, slowly morphing back to his droid appearance, shutting off his Force presence via the crystal lattice as he did so. He held out a datapad, populating it with information before Delta could even take it from him. "It seems that these fleet resources will be needed sooner rather than later. You will command the Fleet, I will observe. Have the corvettes and the heavy starfighters rendezvous at the predetermined coordinates in empty space. They will meet with our starfighter squadrons where command will be officially handed over, and then we will jump to our final destination. Our mission is twofold: a rescue and extraction operation along with potentially fighting off enemy forces. Should be cut and dry." Kain ended abruptly, now fully looking like his original self. Thinking the conversation over, Kain moved past him, quickly walking through the buildings to the landing pads, prepping his ship, and leaving the planet with all the speed he could afford. A quick encoded message to the seventy two starfighters and they followed behind his departing ship, linking up in formation before making their own jumps. Execute

Kain poured over the information for a moment. To Delta, it would look like simple reading, but Kain was running algorithmic inquiries on whether or not another attack could and should be mounted. "Very good. I was largely wondering as well, if your networks themselves were operating efficiently. Gangs, casinos, money laundering, that sort of thing. Have those who report to you send me an operational report in the next three days, then the ones directly under them can send me a report as well without their bosses' knowledge. Meanwhile, I will begin to integrate the financial networks to ensure your transfers remain 100% secure." Kain finished, sitting up, the glowing red Duros eyes burrowing into the other man. "Do you have any questions or concerns for me?"

The AI spoke in perfect Basic, not bothering to change his voice or accent from his preprogrammed neutral Corellian accent. A rarity for Duros to be without an accent, but Kain didn't care. "You may call me Kain. I am the liaison to help coordinate the integration of Black Sun assets underneath the Sith hierarchy. Or rather, beside. For while it is intended that we have access to your finances, your more tangible assets, warships, buildings, et cetera, will be yours to retain command of. Albeit with a small Sith escort...which will be more for protecting Sith interests than ensuring Black Sun falls in line." Kain tactfully omitted that they often were the same thing as he paused briefly, as he steepled his fingers. "Protection, though, will also be for your interests. I am authorized to speak on the Dark Lord's behalf on this matter, and he wants Black Sun to not simply be absorbed, but take its rightful place beside the Sith. Your organization is a shadow of its former glory, let there be no confusion about that. But, it has helped the Sith in the past, and in your time of need, the Sith wish to repay the favor. To be the crutch, the shoulder to lean on until you are once again ready to walk. But the Sith currently need resources, finances, political power. Black Sun will help act as a framework to prop the Sith to loftier heights, and will swiftly pull them up as well." Kain pulled a datapad from under the table, thumbing through it. "I see you've already turned over the majority of the desired assets to Sith control...but what I wanted to specifically discuss was the facilities and fleet capabilities of your organization. I have already had construction crews sent to Bespin to aid in reconstruction and fortification efforts...and perhaps to construct additional collectors and refineries to make the planet as a whole far more efficient at producing tibanna. Do you have any other facilities that might benefit from...optimization?"

The Sword Logic left hyperspace like a child taken by CPS, taking a high approach to Korriban's main temple. Of course the starfighter squadrons were nearby, constantly running patrols, and Kain was saluted with an honor guard on his entry despite the irritation it caused him. The AI preferred subtlety, fanfare of any type overrode any kind of element of surprise he may have had. But it also wasn't something he necessarily needed here, and so he withheld admonishment, dealing with whatever came. He did, however, make a mental note to upgrade his craft at a later date with a changeable transponder unit, one capable of switching identities at the drop of a hat. Landing on the planet, a messenger was sent to deliver a summons to the man known as Delta-73, requesting his presence in a small meeting room, away from the larger gatherings of Sith. In moments, Kain was waiting there for him, disguised as a Duros. His crystal array was also active, generating a Force presence for the droid, in case anyone cared to spy on the meeting...not like it would be over serious state secrets, anyways, but Kain preferred to be prepared.
