Mon Calamari/Dac

In light of the recent destruction of one of the mighty Golan defense platforms, the Alliance leaders at Mon Calamari suspected an attempt by an enemy faction to take the shipyards in their recent weakness.

Therefore, it was time to refit defenses and prepare for an attack. First, the Rejuvenator finished converting back to an Alliance craft. It joined the other two MC90a starcruisers, which created a barrier across the front of the shipyard itself, behind the minefield.

The minefield was far enough forward that the cruisers were initially out of range, but so would the attacking Star Destroyers. The Imperial ships would have to navigate the deadly minefield before being able to exchange fire with the Alliance ships, and the mines were smart enough on their own to do some good damage.

Techs and mechanics were dispatched to immediately begin reconstructing the all-but-destroyed Golan IV defense platform, and they were making excellent progress on it.

At the same time, the construction of another defense platform. It would be the fourth in around the station, and each was capable of handling an Imperial Star Destroyer.

With all things added in, the defenses were capable of handling at least seven or eight Star Destroyers, and it was all but impossible for the Empire to have come up with numbers that large in the scant amount of time given, though a few Alliance ships had been captured at Kuat.

Additionally, another MC90a was well on its way, due to be finished at about the same time the Golans were finished being constructed. If the Empire was extremely hasty, they could attack before everything was ready. However, that wasn't likely in fleet warfare.

(( Ok guys, since you seem to have missed it I'll post it again - my mind's been scatty the last week or so, so I haven't followed this very closely either.

**All those Open Sky members that were on the Rejuvinator have now been captured and are in holding cells about to be transported to the new prison on Coruscant. The Rejuvinator, as per Locke's post, has been converted back to a Rebellion ship. ))

The Open Sky prisoners are all taken to a heavily guarded transport to be taken to the new prison on Coruscant. Once all were locked up in their cells the transport lifts off, heading to it's destination. The transport is also escorted by hyperspace capable fighter craft.

Right on schedule, another MC90a Starcruiser emerged from the Mon Calamari shipyard, and it was crewed and named the Horizon by its new captain. It would serve the fleet well, and it served currently to reinforce the fleet defending the shipyard, which now consisted of four cruisers.

Simultaneously, the Golan IV under construction was completed and the damaged one was once again made whole. The Alliance technicians had done their job with extreme efficiency, and now the defenses were capable of holding out with ease against even ten Star Destroyers.

But no pause in the defense effort was made. Rather than daring to take the time to construct a Star Defender, which would admittantly be powerful enough to hold off two Imperial cruisers alone, the shipyard began yet another MC90a, for it would take half the time. The Alliance needed as much of a fleet as it could get its hands on as fast as possible.

Only then would they be able to hold out against the Empire.

OOC: Legal, of course.

IC: Yet another MC90a Starcruiser departed from the shipyards, dubbed the Deadly Dejarik. It was an interesting name for a cruiser, being a ship of strict rules and military conduct, but the personality of the chosen captain fit perfectly.

The shipyards decided to take the risk of beginning the production of a Star Defender, which would take twice as long but would by all means be the flagship of the Alliance fleet. It would be capable of taking on multiple Star Destroyers alone.

The fleet now consisted of five Star Cruisers, and it was surprisingly close to nearing the largest the fleet had even been. Practicality was important, and more ships than the flagship and about eight other cruisers was too hard to maintain. Fewer, well-maintained ships were more effective than many more ships that were hardly space-worthy.

*A type of rocket exited hyperspace and flew straight through the atmosphere and the defenses; as it was such a small and fast moving object, it could not be properly targeted. This was no random doing, this was being sent to the planet of Mon Calamari for a purpose and a reason.*

The rocket landed some distance away from the shipyards, far away enough to do it no damage. The shell of the rocket collapsed and to come out of the shell was an imperial probe droid. The droid began to monitor it's surroundings and would transmit often.

"Sensors indicate that there was a powered object enter the system. Check all security systems and alert the patrols."

The Alliance forces based on Mon Calamari were very much on alert still after the last attack. Sweeping scans began the moment the unidentified object entered the system. They may not have been able to target the fast moving rocket but they would discover its location and destroy it.

Teams began combing the area for the threat. It would be dealt with smartly. Their orders... seek and destroy. Also to gather any remain parts to identify where it came from.

---- edit to add info rather than having a double post ---

An encrypted comm comes in for a new request. Several transports were loaded up full of items and sent out to another location at another base for a special request. They made several trips, all as regular trips out with nothing to suggest otherwise incase any enemies were watching. Each trip was carefully planned, each transport being scanned for homing devices and any other devices and had to be fully cleared before they left, also making several random hyperspace jumps before reaching their designated location.

At long last, a massive Star Defender drifted from the docks of Mon Calamari. It would be the flagship of the fleet under command of Admiral Onderin Starlisk. It was named after Onderin's first flagship, back when he had been Vice-Admiral. It was named the Defiant.

And this ship would be defiant towards all the forces of the Empire.

Five MC90a's and a Star Defender now loomed over the watery world of Mon Calamari and another MC90a was begun.

The ship containing Kirana, Locke, Dashel & Sahv came out of hyperspace above the watery planet of Mon Calamari. Kira gazed out at the fleet that floated gracefully above the blue planet as they gave their clearance codes. Kira also requested that once they had landed at the base, their ship be modified further. Locke would be sure to specify the modifications that he wanted done.

Clearance given and a welcome recieved, she took their ship in to land. Touching down lightly she ran through the checks. She also sent out a request for a protocol droid to be attached to her now that she was Chief of State. This, she was informed, would be carried out and her droid would be waiting in her office for her when she arrived. She had no intentions of hurrying to that station though, she had other things on her mind. She sent a force message to Dashel to study the book on meditation techniques and force manipulations (force jump, speed, blast, levitation) and to practice while she rested, she would train with him later. If Locke had any other instructions for him as well as his own padawan, Dashel was to carry them out.

She went back into her shared bedroom, still feeling tired having not had a chance to rest on the trip. She'd managed a meditation while at the controls, but that had been all. Rest was required. A quick shower and changing into her nightshirt, she retired, curling up under the crisp white sheets and was soon asleep.

Sahv looked out of the viewport as the ship passed a fleet of cruisers, battleships, troop transports...

Truly, Sahv was in it now.

As the group landed, Sahv approached Locke to notify him of the changes he'd made on his lightsaber over the course of the trip. Now, the hilt had a switch to allow a user to ignite the instrument without the Force. The button was not a standard one, however, as Locke soon learned. Only a simultaneous addition of pressure on two spots near the top of the hilt would ignite it in this fashion; the same effect could still be done through the Force, without the use of the triggering mechanism.

Locke took the modified lightsaber into his hand, examining it carefully.

"Very good. You've done well."

He handed the weapon back to Sahv, patting him on the shoulder reassuringly. He smiled as Kirana headed to their bunkroom. Stepping outside, the Jedi decided that the landing pad would be as good a place as any to go to training.

"I guess we'll get on with the lessons while she rests. She has a tough job, so I reckon she's due for some sleep. Dashel, Sahv, I do think I've asked about this before, but if you could, would you give me a quick demonstration of what you have learned so far. I'll use that to to take us directly into lessons."

((OOC: Sorry to be repetitive, but I promise after this we'll get into some worth while training))

Since Kira decided to pilot the freighter to Mon Calamari on her own, Dashel had some free time on his hands. He decided to make use of it by examining the Jedi holocorn he had been carrying with him since he had left Triani. The item positively called to him now, and he knew that some secrets would be revealed. He spent the entire trip in the cabin he shared with Sahv, quietly examining the object. The occasional murmor escaped from him as he addressed the guardian, but the sound was generally to low to be heard over the ships backround noise.

Approximately ten minutes before the arrival at Mon Calamari, Dashel emerged from the cabin and accessed a small terminal. Into it, he issued several commands for Kala and R4 that would be delivered upon their arrival at Mon Calamari. Satisfied, he sat back a minute and pondered the situation. It was then that he ordered a small canister of marbles to be delivered to the Kira's ship upon touchdown. They were to be of all shapes and sizes. He also sent Kala and order to bring his speeder bike to Kira's ship and located a small, unoccupied island on Mon Calamari that he could commandeer for his training.

Finished, he cleaned and checked his equipment. All of it was in satisfactory order. Once finished he looked at the chrono and decided that a calm mind would be essential to any task he would face on Mon Calamari, so he found a comfortable spot, and entered into the place of calm where he knew the force always lurked. He extended his senses into and was in that state when Kira's telepathic message arrived.

He sent a short reply in the positive back to her, then added that his plans for doing so would be logged on the computer for her and Locke to find him by. He also set a com frequency that he could be reached at and after a moment, a message for Sahv to join should Knight Locke not give him anything to do.

As they passed the shipyards, Dashel simply stared. While his people had produced medium sized ships at their home shipyards, the massive scale of the ships being produced and the facilities which produced them left him feeling a little awed. Everywhere he looked, ships marked with the Alliance flag floated majestically in orbit, waiting for a command many no doubt hoped would never come. He buried himself in the text he been commanded to read, noting on his datapad relevant information that he could use at the sight he had decided he would use for practice.

Once Kira had docked the ship, Dashel left and picked up his order of marbles and placed it upon his speeder. He left the docking port and headed for the small island that was the planetary authority had told him would be unoccupied by anything besides himself and any guests that joined him.

Dashel quickly arrived at the island, noticing with distinct pleasure that his speeder bike had performed acceptably. He wondered how you could modify one to perform to a Jedi's skill. The thought delayed him from the practice Lady Kira had assigned him, but not for long.

Of the three topics assigned to him, Dashel looked forward to levitation the most, thus he saved it for last. That skill, according to the holocron he had viewed earlier, had greater implications for those whom mastered it. Besides,t he two physical skills would exhaust his body considerably and make conentrating on the levitation and associated skills much easier.

He started with the strength enhancements. From the tome's lessons, he knew that beginners rarely wrestled trees and other objects from the ground at first unless they threw caution to the wind and acted restlessly. Dashel had made that mistake on Coruscant and had decided to take things slowly. The padawan meditated, drawing the force into his body to enhance his knowledge of the various muscles of his body. As before, he had to contend with a rush of the force into his body, making him feel as if he was on fire. He let the sensation pass through him. Then, the force seemed to go away all together, but Dashel knew better. He waited, and when calm was restored around him, he focussed inward one last time. This time he felt the force enter the fiber of his being and knew that it would help his body as he needed it.

For two hours, Dashel sat surrounded and filled by the force, letting it fill him with a level of knowledge of his own body that he had never dreamt possible. He reveled in the sensation momentarily, then focussed on learning as much as he could on a semi-conscious level. The text had been adamant that using the force in this matter required the user to know each cell of his body and how much of the force was neccessary to enable that cell to function at its greatest capacity.

When he though he was ready, he slowly stood. EVery muscle in his body lay quietly. It was a quiet that was full of the promise of something wonderful about to happen. Dashel squatted and attempted a broad jump using the force to enhance his strength. He mistimed the surge of the force through his cells. Instead of going through as he leaped, the surge occured after the leap and Dashel kicked at open air. He felt something pull in his legs and had the time to register a slight shock just before he landed. He got up, dusted himself off, and tested the leg he had felt pain in. The leg was okay, and he began again. He repeated the process many times over the next few hours. He was so frustated by the number of complete catastraphes, near misses, and over extensions that when he got it right, he felt joy in his accomplisment only briefly. The joy was combined with a determination to keep working at it until he mastered this discipline at whatever level the force would allow him to reach.

He picked up speed next. This one appealed a great deal to him. Being a male triani, and therefore smaller than the females of his species, his training had been on speed and accuracy when delivering his strikes and the necessity of being quick on any battlefield. His enthusiasm quickly faded when he discoved how hard of a task this was for him. Unlike the force jump, where he could easily flood his muscles with force enhanced strength, he found his body badly suited for the discipline need to increase his speed. Dashel desperately wanted to master his technique and use it in combination with the light, quick twin lightsabers he had constructed or even the light-claw he had developed. Everything combined to cause Dashel a great deal of frustration. He set aside the technique eventually, knowing that his master could answer questions on it and help him achieve the desired effect in a way that was right for him. It was not a sign of him giving up, rather an admission that he needed guidance.

Blasting was an easy and addicting rush. Something in him reveled at the various subcategories of this, such as force push. Gleefully, he spent some time moving progessively larger rocks and trees around. When the chrono that he had set beeped its alarm at him, he continued for several moments enjoying the power that was his to command. That single thought set off alarms throughout his mind and he forced hmself to begin practicing levitation. He knew that that technique would be one he praticesed diligently with to know when its use approached the dark side and to discipline his joy in it.

Levitation felt different to Dashel. It shared various elemets with the other techniques, yet required even greater faith in the force on the part of the user. Dashel used the marbles he had ordered earlier, and practiced lifting them individually and in small sets. He found levitation a curious sensation, one that he knew would have to be explored at length as he practiced under his Master's tutelage. There was no exhilartion in it, yet it felt relatively natural. He failed to levitate anything larger than a softball and knew immediately that he had lacked both the proper amount of discipline and faith to do so.

When he had practiced all four techniques, Dashel knew he was not ready for what had been revealed by the Holocron. He reread the notes he had taken on the techniques, read what he had written about each one after his practice and meditated on what he had learned. He concentrated on examining each failure and success eliminating his emotional responses as much as possible and examining the truth beyond them. He knew that he was far from perfecting any of them, but the time he had spent on this lonely isle had given him a beginning that he could build on with his Master.

Sahv and his master Locke stood in the center of the empty hangar bay, its wide panoramic door open to the view below, a beautiful scene showing a blue-green water below, small craft floating and flying about in the distance.

"Well, Sir Locke... I think it is safe to say I have gained a complete understanding of using the Force to manipulate my surroundings, and also learn about them too."

Sahv held his lightsaber in his palm, faced up. Slowy it drifted from his grasp into the air above.

"This lightsaber... I can move it about through the air, study its internal structure and gradients, ignite it from 20 feet away, and sense its presence if I were blind. I cannot, however, use it in combat."

Sahv had to prove his statement to Locke.

"Allow me to show you..."

Slowly, a rectangular transport bed, having a wheel on each of its four corners inched its way progressively faster toward the two. It came from behind Sahv; he had sensed its presence behind him. As it came to a stop behind the young man, Sahv continued to stare forward at Locke, showing no emotion. His hands were resting behind his back. Slowly, the large, empty platform frose up, above the level of the men's heads. Sahv glanced to the left as he saw it pass to the front of him, toward the opening in the hanger. It exited, and dropped suddenly.

"If you will grant me one moment, Master..."

Still looking out toward the blue ocean, the two were not startled to see the platform reapear from down below, entering the field of vision allowed by the edge of the hangar floor. Rushing back to Sahv, the two could see that it was dripping water. Concentrating as hard as he could, the platform eased onto the glossy pavement, the wheels almost simultaneously attaining the rest that the solid ground offered. Sahv was impressed at what he'd done, and hoped his master would be able to acertain his level of training.

Kira slept comfortably for quite a while before she started to dream. A strange dream for her... Kira could see through Locke's eyes, hear what he was saying, see what training he was doing with his padawan. Of her padawan she couldn't see and wondered where he had gotten to. The dream started to change as her mind went back to how it felt to be with Locke... she hadn't been with anyone else before him and it had been special to her. They were connected now in a way she had not thought possible, at least not before they had read that passage in one of the reference books from Ossus ... again the dream patterns shifted, this time decidedly more erotic as she recalled how it felt with his hands roaming over her body... a small moan escaping her lips as she shifted in her sleep...

She awoke sometime later having dropped into a more peaceful slumber once more, waking refreshed and energetic. Heading to the computer console, she sent a recall to Dashel, calling him in from his solo training as she now took note of. Kira then sent off a request for some special items to be delivered to the workroom off to the side of the hanger bay. She wanted to work on her lightsaber. She located their reference book and reviewed the information she needed for the modifications, making sure that she had ordered the right equipment needed for the task.

She went out to observe Locke and Sahv, standing there a moment before heading to the work bench in the hanger's workroom. Within moments of her arrival, a private appeared with the items she had requested. Dismissing him, she soon went to work on the modifications, also making a second saber hilt. She would need to get another crystal from somewhere to fit into it but that wouldn't be a problem, they would pick up another in their travels. She lost track of time while she worked, fine tuning, modifying and adding to her saber the properties that would make it cortoris resistant.

A ship roared into the atmsophere of Mon Calamari, it was a YT-1300, Within it sat a person who looked quite lean and proud. His hair was a dark brown, and his skin was slightly tanned. He had a black leather jacked over a plain white silk shirt. His trousers were simply white with a single stripe down the side, and the stripe was black. He wore black leather gloves, and a pair of white large boots. He also had a golden Ne Republic necklace with its sign on it. His eyes were a very bright green and seemed to shine with joy. He had a grin on his face as he came into the atmsophere.

This was Arias Venets within the "Venets Legacy", heading towards his newly found job in the New Republic which was simply to serve as a soldier. He would be good at that as he had light armour under his clothes, 2 Pistols and a Carbine. He was ready and all, and eager to get some work done to serve the New Republic.

The com inside his ship buzzed to life "Venets Legacy, please proceed to Hangar 252, there you will be given your own quarters, and you can stay there as we figure out some duties for you"

"Roger"

Then he turned his roaring YT-1300 towards his designated hangar. There he landed spot on the spot he had be designated. He turned off all the engines, and most of the systems, and lowered the landing ramp. He unbuckled himself, and strode outwards towards the guards. There they did a quick inspections and allowed him to go past.He met and officer who gave him a few papers to sign and explained a few things to him and then allowed him to go off to his room.

He moved up the corridors his eyes half asleep with thought, he had just joined the New Republic army, would he die early, would he prove himself, or would he meet his demise on his own? but he pushed those questions aside, and remebered he had to keep his cool, and so he did. Now he turned a corner to a lift, and went down to floor 3 to where his room was. He went down the corridor and turned right, and saw his room No.156.

He then entered into his room, and adjusted a few things to his liking, put aside his guns except 1 pistol, and unstraped his armour. He stored it all in a locker. He sat down and took it all in. Then he son fell on his bed and went into a small delightful doze.

Dashel was deep in the force when the summons came to him to return to the ship. He made sure that he took all contamination from the island, loaded his speeder bike, and proceeded to return to the ship. Halfway there, he diverted his course towards his freighter to give the bike over to Kala. He met her and handed the bike off. She had already summoned a small hover cab, and he boarded it to return to Kira's docking bay.

The trip to the landing bay was eneventful and allowed Dashel to rest a little before returning. Once again, he had discovered that his own percieved limitations were just that...limititations caused by his perceptions and that he could and should be striving to go beyond them.

When the small cab had gotten him to the bay, he announced his presence to the three beings he sensed on board through the force. He badly needed a shower but new he would be waiting on either his mistress's pleasure or Locke's.

Seeing that her padawan was focused on the need to be clean, Kira allowed him time to shower and told him to come find her when he was ready. She had finished her modifications now, her blade now cortoris resistant. She wouldn't have to worry about her blade being shorted out during a fight now. That book had so much useful information. She clipped her hilt back onto her belt before taking the book and extra hilt back into the ship.

Notified through a comm that there was another new recruit, Kira would send this one to Onderin to be under him within the fleet. A message was sent to the recruit (Arias) to report to Onderin, suggesting that they send a comm to him first to see where Onderin wanted Arias to report to.

Kira left the ship again, this time heading over towards Locke and Sahv, a smile appearing on her face as her eye's met with Locke's.

Kira looked up at Dashel as he approached, deciding to test him on the task that she had set him to learn.

"Demonstrate to me the force manipulations I set you to learn. There are various crates around the hanger, I want you to levitate some of those, I want you to show me the actions of force speed, jump and blast."

She stood back watching him, also making a private comm message, getting one of the base personal on standby.

Locke couldn't help but smile at Kirana's dreams. They were, quite fascinating, to say the least. Ripe with nudity, just as he liked them. And through their shared link, he managed to see everything vividly in his mind, though the effect it had on the Jedi barely visible for others. He smiled back at Kirana as she exited the ship, a touch of longing visible in his expression. He winked, flashing a few "highlights of her dream back into her mind, making sure she would remember the show that Locke had enjoyed so much.

"The training is going great," Locke began; adding heavily suggestive overtones. "I take it you had a nice rest?

Finally turning back to Sahv, Locke nodded, guilty that it seemed as though he were neglecting his student.

"Very good Sahv. That gives me a pretty good idea of where you are. I will be teaching you lightsaber combat next, but first follow along with the lesson Kirana is teaching Dashel. I think it'll be good for you too have a bit of practice."

((OCC: I'm working on some nice long posts for the Lightsaber lessons, so please don't think I'm just passing you off on Kirana. I have to look up and read this lightsaber form bull****, considering I've never bothered with it before.))

Sahv watched as Dashel began his expedition. The man was learning, that was for sure.

Endurance training is important for a Jedi. At times, it would be necessary to exhibit exceptional physical strength and acrobatic technique. Unfortunately, Sahv's past had been a relatively idle one; he'd kept in good shape, but had no training or experience in using the body in the ways Jedi use it. This was beginning to change drastically. Levitation of objects through the Force had been achieved, but levitating his own body had not. Sahv, to escape the cave on Ilum, had used a crude manner of Force jump, but that was a temporary burst, and Sahv entertained the idea that the only pure form of Force-use was that used in concentrated, defined periods. For this reason, Sahv was to try to apply this to his physical technique.

Sahv began to test the limits of the Force jump by making repetitive jumps up to the rafters of the large hanger. Once up, he would ease his fall by using a burst of the Force to act as a cushion, slowing him just before hitting. He did this 15 times before he felt confident in his aiming ability; he had more practice to do, but at least now he had an idea of what would be required of him. Sahv felt that the mussles in his body had been taxed, and took a few minutes to rest.

Dashel stands quietly, his mind working to find an acceptable solution to demonstrating his proficiency with the tasks Kira had given him.

He smiled when it finally came to him.

Dashel bowed to Kira, then went into her ship and retrieved the bag of marbles he had purchased earlier.

Carefully selecting those boxes that are the heaviest, yet contain goods capable of enduring some severe jostling, he used the force to line them up on the ground. The line was far from perfect, yet it would suit his needs. It was also the easiest part of his self-examination.

Still using only the force, he levitated several of the marbles to a point fifteen feet from the farthest point of the row of boxes and set them gently on the floor.

He paused for a moment, gathering his strength and calming himself so that he was more fully in tune with the force. He let if flood through him, expanding his awareness to the maximum limit on both the micro and macro levels.

Shakily, the row of boxes simultaneously rose into the air, a little over double dashel's height. He ran, using the force enhanced speed to go under the first box as it dropped towards him. The second box, he leaped over and the third he ran under until the line was completed. For thirty seconds, boxes crashed to the floor while a gray streak narrowly avoided being crushed. When Dashel skidded to the end of the line, he was bleeding in a half dozen places from box fragments that were too small to have been dodged.

At the end of the line of boxes, Dashel skidded to a stop mere inches short of the marbles he had placed earlier. Starting at one end, every other marble exploded, while the ones between were shoved off at a respectable velocity.

Once finished, he stopped and awaited Kira's critique. While he waited, he reflected on what he had just done. Sahv's words from an earlier time came to him at the point, "Someday you will be a powerful Jedi if you have faith in the force."

Dashel knew he was far from being a Jedi, but at that moment Sahv's words fell into place for him. He had not stopped to think about the force, merely trusted that it would give him the tools to do what he needed to do an done it.

Looking back at the course he had thrown himself through, Dashel stopped reflecting and reached for some cleaning tools. He figured Kira's critique would come when she was ready. Meanwhile, he thought it would be extremely rude to leave a mess for someone else to clean up.

Kira saw the look of longing that Locke threw her way, blushing slightly at the suggestiveness of his tone as he answered her, an answering look within her own eyes that it was not one sided. She turned her focus to the padawan's as they practiced the force manipulations. Sahv was doing ok for not having done them much before, Dashel seemed to be testing himself to his limits. She was very impressed by his display, he had been practicing his lessons and was doing well. She nodded to both padawans,

"Well done, both of you. Now, you can either help each other with this by merging your force powers, also known as melding, or you can act alone. Whichever the case, you will have to communicate with each other to get the task done."

Kira's eyes met with Locke's as she silently communicated to him what she was about to do before she stepped towards the edge of the hanger and spoke into her comm unit. The pilot she had on standby flew over head in his fighter before turning and making an attack run, firing a missile towards the hanger aiming for the padawan's. Kira's eyes never left the missile as she readied herself incase the padawan's couldn't divert it...

The two stood silently as they saw the rocket coming toward them.

"Dashel, let's test this rocket's maneuverability..."

Taking an empty crate nearby, Sahv picked it up through the Force and sent it hurling into the rocket's path. Dodging the crate, the rocket swirled around elaborately to allow the wooden storage container to fall to the ground, smashing nearly to pieces.

"Let's split up, and see what this rocket does!" Sahv exclaimed.

Dashel went left, using the force to once again enhance his speed while Sahv went right. The missle tracked on Sahv and turned his direction.

Dashel, seeing the weapon was no longer tracking him, levitated three or four marbles from the bag he had set out earlier.

"Sahv," he said through the force, "keep running that direction, but curve a little as you do so."

Dashel stretched out to the force and waited until the appropriate moment and then said to Sahv mentally, "turn back towards me, now. Once you get to the halfway point I will cut inside your arc and have the missle follow me for a little while."

As the missle began following the new path Sahv was taking, Dashel began running to meet Sahv at the designated point while using the force to slow the missle down considerably. He strained to do so, and maintain the neccessary concentration to begin pelting the missle with the marbles he had brought out earlier. He knew that shredding the missle into inoperability was better than exploding in this area.

Well this is a different approach Kira almost laughed to herself as she found humour in watching the padawan's deal with the missile. She had gone the straight out divert strategy, sending the one that had been sent at her into something harmless when it detonated. Her eyes met with Locke's while she still followed the course the missile had taken.

The marbles triggered a release mechanism on the missile, causing it to split open, releasing several smaller missiles, all heat seeking and all now split to following the two padawan's

Sahv followed Dashel's words to the letter. He ran... fast. Passing Dashel where they'd planned to change the rocket's course, Sahv nodded to his fellow padawan sincerely and he swung to the left, Dashel doing to same. Sahv heard the dings of the marbles hitting the side of the weapon. Dashel had applied considerable force to their throw, but Sahv was unsure if they'd done any damage; the rocket had a low hissing sound, not like the loud Imperial rockets he'd seen footage of on the holonet.

"Dash... uh oh." Sahv said, looking back at a rocket still folowing him. Dashel stood standing in awed dissapointment.

On the ground before him stood the remains of the rocket, and in the air above, at least 8 smaller missiles stood poised, appearing to get oriented before continuing their mission of destruction.

Sahv ran as 3 missiles headed for him. Dashel did the same, moving in the opposite direction. Reaching the end of the hanger where an opening just as on the other side offered a view of the surrounding sea and base, Sahv considered jumping.

"There's no way..." Sahv muttered to himself.

Speaking to Dashel through the Force, he knew his friend was in the same situation.

"Dashel... run to the center of the room. Trust me."

Pulling all of the Force he could muster into him, including all the energy Dashel had to spare, Sahv calmed his spirit and body before blasting at lightspeed under the rocket toward Dashel. The missile had little time to react, as it had given up it's advantage of speed to slow to aim accurately for a final kill. The feeling was surreal... Force Speed had been achieved.

Reaching Dashel, Sahv spoke quickly. "I have an idea. I believe we can derail these missiles. We can agree, I assume, that we don't want it to explose inside here, or near us..."

Sahv nodded. Silently, he extended his hands into a bowl shape, and conjured the Force into physical form. Sahv knew he hadn't the strength to create the ball of energy in time, considering all of the effort he'd used up in running so fast...

After Dashel joined in, hopefully the amount of physical they will have created could send the missiles following out to sea.

Arias had gotten up to his room with his new orders to report to a person named Onderin. He would be assigned a post by him so he should really respect him, but then again, he respected all his fellow comrades, in this war.

Arias was on a Comm terminal in his room comming Onderin, he was now excited to get his post. He was sending all his details so that Onderin would find a Sutable place to report to.

From the depths of hyperspace comes a monster meant to inspire fear. Its long grey hull slides from the tunnel of darkness and speeds toward Mon Calimari. Aboard the bridge the captain heads toward the hangar. He boards a Lambda class shuttle with his weapons and exits Mon Calimari. The ship is now in the hands of the Rebellion/Republic.

"Sahv," thought Dashel, "I think I understand what you intend. There may be a better way."

Dashel lent his strength to Sahv, but also sent him what he learned from the holocron he had studied so often together. Perhaps the technique would escape one of them, but together they would blaze and scorch any obstacle they chose to overcome.

The idea the old knight had pursued was simple in thought, but difficult to do alone. Few jedi had the raw connection to the force to singulary shift an item from one point to another without passing through all the points in between.

<> Basic principle of geometry states that between any two given points on a line there is a infinite number of points between. <>

<> Except Dashel and Sahv had multiple targets to shift. Still, it was an easy problem to fix. Dashel reached out with several tendrels of the force and guided the rockets to a central point. He trusted Sahv to understand the techniques concept, and to use the new skill at the approprate moment.
