  1. He had done this with the Sith, but she had been the one to instigate it. Now he would have to find his master's mind. He reached out, sensing for Master Shardik's presence, moving spectrally around the cockpit. "Master- Master Shardik! Can you here me?" It had been hard to remain aware of his surroundings while he searched, but he had somehow managed it. That must have come over as a shout. Horus thought to himself. I wonder how it would be if you lost yourself in the process of finding another? Would your body simply die and you be forced to remain but an astral projection of yourself? "Master, will I ever be able to do that without losing almost all awareness? That is to say, will I be able to do that and a number of different tasks simultaniously?"
  2. "Where are we going master?" He had been away from training for what had seemed like a lifetime, and he was eager to return. The force was calling him, and he wished to know more of it. "Master, when I first met Shy-Ree, she contacted me through the force, without speaking. How does one do this?"
  3. "Alright sir." There was a little girl with burns over most of her arms and legs, clutching a teddy bear. She whimpered softly. He bent down to her, laying his left hand over her. The force flowed through him, and her skin began to heal. First the dead skin fell away, with new skin stiching together underneath. The little girl looked up at him and shed a single tear. He moved on to the next, a boy who could not have been more than eight, who had many cuts and scrapes on him. He had watched Horus heal the young girl, and had tried desperately to catch the young Jedi's eye. "Hello, my name is Horus. What's yours?" "I am Tyr sir." Horus looked him over. He focused on the boy in the force, using it to heal his wounds without any physical motion that would normally be attributed to this act. The boy was force sensitive. Pulling his datapad from his pocket, he turned to the boy. "Do you have any Family?" This was met with a shake of the boy's head. "Listen, I want you to take this ticket, go to the spaceport, and fly to Coruscant. Once there, go to the last call, a room is there for you. Wait until the battle at the temple is over, and then go there for training." "Yes sir." The rest took very little time to heal, and when he was finished, Horus turned to his master and asked - "Where to now sir?" ((Sorry it took so long. My computer is broken and so I will be on much less. I'm still on though.))
  4. He had been assisting the injured when he felt his master violently thrown through a wall. The Padawan had been searching for another person to help when it happened, so Horus was able to immediately go to him. Manipulating the force to increase his running speed tenfold, he launched himself over rubble and debris with a deftness he had never known he had. "Master Shardik, are your all right?" Horus stated as he began removing his field medic's kit.
  5. After first sending a quick comm to his master, Horus returned to the conversation between the padawans. "Well, while I was at the temple looking for a master, the order underwent a major change. Master Tares Vortex, whom from my experience is a brilliant force user, and Master Ara-Lai Kaipi began co-leading. The Sith attack was not as well prepared for as I would have liked, but we seemed to be winning the battle. As for the state of the order, I have no real experience with many of us, but feel that it is doing o.k."
  6. So sorry for the double post, accidentally hit the post button twice.
  7. ((Sorry for the short post. I'm running to Wal-Mart for the fabric to complete my NDK costume.)) He began to seperate the synth-skin, watching Master Draygo fall into a drug induced stupor. He saw the IV drip running into her good arm, and wondered aloud - "Are you using Tetrahydrachloride as an anesthetist?" At this point Fynn walked in, followed by Shawn, and he gave them a pair of gloves each.
  8. Horus slipped out of his robes, and pulled on the medical gown. It had been a long time sine he had worn one, but it was simple enough to put on. He tied his hair back and put it under the provided cap, and finally pulled on the surgical gloves. Thank you KVC. He stepped back into the sterile zone, waiting for the others. I-Nine, Master Skye's droid, was puttering around in the theatre. He pushed out with the force, seeing the internal workings of the ship, I-Nine, and the others. He wished to pass over them, as to not invade their privacy, but for a moment he was observing them intensely. Master Skye was pregnant again, a wonderful thing; Master Draygo was injured, but still strong; Fynn, strong and well tempered; and Shawn, worried about his master, but other wise unharmed.
  9. Her face...Who would do such a thing? He stood, impassively staring forward, a trait carried over from the Academy. He wished to see what Master Skye would do, as his medic skills probably paled in comparison to her healing skills. She was currently sending out a wave of compassion to the woman, and he attempted to do the same. He stood with the women, waiting for one of them to act. He also noticed a young man ((Shawn)), probably about his age, standing behind them. "Hello, my name is Horus Saast, Padawan of Raziel Shardik. To whom do I owe the pleasure?" He said, bowing deeply from the hip.
  10. "Yes sir." Horus brought the ship down at the coordinants provided. Fynn stepped outside, while he began to gather his things for this new patient. All of a sudden a droid came online and began to prepare for surgery. "I guess I'm not the one who's performing this one." Once out of the ship, he searched for Fynn through the force. It wasn't that hard, and he found him quickly. They were on the shore of a teardrop shaped lake, with beautiful scenery all around. The leaves on some of the trees had begun to turn. "A beautiful place, my friend. Tell me, what are we doing here?"

    Naboo

You should listen to him Horus. He is more knowledgeable than you in this. He turned one last time to the Sith. "If I your situation and mine were juxtaposed, I would be dead. If I adhered to your order's ways, then I would kill you. If you follow your path to its conclusion there is only one result." With that he left her, broken, but still alive. He made his way to the spaceport, stopping only to look at the beutiful azure sky. Stepping into the cockpit of the Destiny's Dream, he sat in an open chair. "So, where to now Fynn?"

    Naboo

"Why...why do you keep me here?" Horus jumped from this noise. It was similar to the first time he had ever been communicated to through the force. "Did you hear that Fynn?" He looked towards the sith. She was beaten, but would still be a vicious enemy if they weren't careful. He pitied her, as he pitied all those who took the path of darkness. Though quick and easy, it was only a path to destruction. "We keep you here so you will hurt no others. You are a Sith, so if we had simply left you it would have been all too easy for others to fall prey to you." "Fynn, I wouldn't leave her here, especially in the care of the innkeeper. She could easily kill him and wreak havoc on this place. Also, to where shall we go?" He sat down on his bed facing the other Padawan.

    Naboo

"Yes sir, and make sure you continue to administer the sedatives." He stepped into the open air, and it was wonderful. It was getting towards twiglight, and the sights, sounds, and smells of the street vendors were begining to diminish. I must look odd. He thought with a chuckle. After all, not often does one see a hybrid species, even less one who was covered with dirt from the temple and toting two blaster rifles, a pistol, and a vibrosword to boot! The town they had landed in was a mix of traditional Nubian design and spaceport functionality. There were many taverns, and almost all of them had rooms for let, but none would fit the requirements they had. Finally Horus stopped at an Inn, the Gungan's Tongue, which had rooms available. Rooms with force fields. He quickly payed for one room, with two beds, a washroom, and a brig. Taking his key, he returned to the ship. "Fynn, I found us a room. We'll be able to put her in something secure, and bunk down." He picked up the sith, and placed her over his shoulder. Making sure her Lekku were secure, as to not trip over them, he walked down the ramp, gesturing for Fynn to follow. After a quick walk, they were in their room and the woman was secure once more.

    Naboo

Horus went back into the ship's cockpit and pulled it out of hyperspace. They were over the lush green fields of Naboo, and this made him think of Shy. She had trusted him with their ill-begotten credits, hoped he wouldn't run off, and waited. It seemed as if it was a lifetime ago, though it had been but a few short weeks. "Sir, should I land or plot a course for another planet?" He said in an almost mechanical tone. A single tear drifted slowly down his face.
  15. She was awake! Horus went to the table, and rather than grabbing one of the syrettes he grabbed a flask of water. Disactivating the force field, Horus popped the cap off the top of the flask and tipped some into her mouth. She was almost concious, and that was dangerous, but he knew that allowing her to suffer needlessly was not something that a jedi would do. He checked her vitals and gave her more water. This was going to be an interesting flight, as he needed to keep her hovering between unconciousness and conciousness. As he backed away to get a syrette he realized that his sloppy job of tearing her garments to get at her wounds was revealing a little more than intended. He removed his outer robe and covered her with it. Horus plunged the syrette into her shoulder, and she relaxed, in a drug induced stupor. "Fynn, you may try and soothe her through the force. She's not entirely unconcious, and before she looked like she was having a nightmare. I know she's a sith, but what kind of Jedi would we be if we didn't care for her?" Horus sat down on a bench and produced a pazaak deck, and began shuffling.
  16. The corellian freighter tunneled through hyperspace, with its three passengers, on their way to naboo. Horus turned to Fynn - "Lets restrain our guest, shall we?" Taking the unconcious Twi'lek, he set her in a chair. Taking a length of rope from a cargo locker, he tied her to the chair, providing multiple levels of redundancy. He then set her in what was to pass for a brig and activated the force field. Taking a packet of syrettes from a pocket in his belt, he turned to Fynn, "We need to administer one of these to her every half-hour. Normally it would be one every two, but I don't think that would hold a sith."
  17. The moment they had left hyperspace the proximity alarms had begun their blinking assault on his senses. It was tolerable, but only just. The ravaged hulls of ships floated dead in space, turning slowly. Corpses floated alongside them, ripped from their posts as the ships vented atmosphere. Then came a new feeling, the loss of life that had left its mark on the force. He could feel shadows of presences felt at the temple; it was hard to believe that they had been killed so soon after. Suddenly, a presence accosted him. SHY? She had died here, and he had done nothing. Shy left him almost as soon as she had come upon him. I'm so sorry Shy. I did nothing to help you, when you had already done so much for me. I have a master because of you, a purpose. I will remember you...always. Like fleeting shadows on a summer's day, they were gone.
  18. "Yes Master." Horus moved to the door, and out into the swirling snows. He was cold, and used the force to warm himself. It would help if I knew what I was looking for. But thats part of the test, Horus. He looked to the points of the compass, but couldn't tell what direction was which in the driving snows. The footprints that Master Shardik had made on his return trip were quickly filling up, but he could get a general idea of which way to head off in. The winds howled as he trudged on, using the force to find traces of his master's presence. This planet is so cold; I'm surprised that it was used as a base. He untied his long red-brown hair, allowing it to unfurl into his face. It provided some amount of insulation for his face and neck, but its real purpose was to keep the snow from his delicate eyes. He passed by here, and turned that way. Horus followed his masters trail to a rock outcropping. He stopped here. Using the force, he located a small terrycloth sack and pulled it to himself. Inside was a set of cycling field energizers. "I have found the energizers master."
  19. "Yes sir." Having seen it demonstrated, Horus knew what he had to do. The force was truly an amazing gift. He concentrated on his own body temperature, which was currently hovering at about 92.7 degrees farenheit, and focused on increasing it. His internal temperature skyrocketed; Convulsing rapidly, he shot to 137 degrees. Horus fumbled with one of the pockets on his belt, and upon pulling a syrette from it, he stabbed himself in the leg. The convulsions stopped almost immediately, and his temperature returned to its normal level. "Maybe its better to do it without the jacket." He removed the coat, and tried it again. His temperature remained normal this time, and he found he could survive without the coat and pants. "Thank you master. This will no doubt prove usefull in the future."
  20. "Its time to get up. We need to begin shortly." At the call of his master, Horus slipped out of bed. Landing on his toes, he walked over to his bag. Horus donned his normal clothes, and upon further consideration, he slipped a heavy coat and pants on in lieu of robes. Next came boots, with his pants bloused in at the knee. Finally his belt, with the scabbard and holstered pistol. His room was at the beginning of a long hallway, which was pockmarked with little blast holes and other such signs of damage. He pulled an MRE and munched on the contents. The air here was fresh and cold, which was more to his liking. His master was in the hangar bay infront of him, waiting. "Good morning master."
  21. "Thank you master." Horus said as he watched the Twi'Lek enter a room. Picking one to his right, he entered, delighting in its Spartan decor. He donned the heavy winter gear required for the climate and his body changed its internal temperature. 92.7 degrees ferinheit, perfect. He leaped upon the top bunk, and without meaning to, manipulated the force. He hit the wall and bounced onto the ground, winded. Horus stood, breathing deeply through his nose, until he could breathe normally again. He unsheathed his sword, and removed the simple grinding stone from its slot in the scabbard. The edge razor sharp after almost an hour of sharpening, polishing, and sharpening again, he was finished. The sword replaced, Horus extricated his pistol. Dissasembling it with practiced position, the ex-commando thoroughly cleaned and reassembled the weapon. After all of this, he meditated atop his bunk, until his exhausted frame dropped into sleep bordering on unconciousness.
  22. Horus took the controls of the ship. He had qualified as an expert with all Corellian type ships, and this had the simplest controls of the lot. The nearest planet was Hoth; looking to his master, who nodded, Horus pulled the ship out of hyperspace. It was an easy task, simply flying on a tangent with the atmosphere and then nosing down. It was entirely white, almost blindingly so. Snowdrifts the size of AT-ATs gave way to craggy peakes, and no signs of any civilization. This planet was simply too cold for anything to develop. That's why the rebels holed up here. And there's the Ion cannon that disabled an ISD when the Imperials found out. He put the big HT down in the cavernous hanger near the destroyed sheild generator. "Master -" He waited for further instruction.
  23. He looked out the cockpit of the freighter, into the bright light of hyperspace. He turned one eye, he coud see the ships systems, represented by blinking lights, were all in the blue. It was a beutiful thing really, the dance they made. "What will I be able to do? I can use the force to jump, run faster, and see, and I have seen force heal and blast. What else will I be able to do?" The second question was unnecessary, but he had blurted it out, without thinking.
  24. "Allow it to control me." Horus whispered. He had never been one to allow anything to control his path. The last time I allowed something to control my destiny, I ended up at the academy, and look where that got me. Thats not true, Shy took control of your life, and now you are training to be a jedi, Horus, a JEDI. Thinking about Shy hurt, as did knowing that she was enslaved by the Sith. What was worse was the fact that he could do nothing about it. "Master Shardik, I've heard it said that the sith use the Dark side of the force, but the way you explain it the force simply is; neither light or dark. Wich is it?" This was the most major of his questions, but in no way his only one. The ship that they were traveling in was a Correllian Engineering HT-2200, like the Argo he and Shy shared, but of a different line and a bit older. It was big and boxy, whereas the YT was round and a bit smaller. "Where are we going Master?"
  25. "The force is..." I don't know what the force is. I can manipulate it to some small extent, but what it really is...? "I don't really know what the force is. I can manipulate it, but I can't really control it."
