  1. She glanced at her comm as a reply made its way to her and she made only to note the meeting place before the last few words gave her pause. She read them again. “Trust. Me” seperated and emphasized. Her alarms raised but sent an affirmative message in reply anyway, making sure she was properly and completely armed before she left her ship. She made her way to The Bounce House, a name she found ridiculous for the type of individuals it catered to, and slipped inside. With that many patrons it was foolish to believe she arrived unnoticed, but she moved as discreetly as possible to wait inside.
  2. Ajani eyed the male, eyes narrowing at the specific mention of a creature but she dismissed it as quickly as he dismissed her. She shook her head once, allowing the disappointment to sink in - she’d been looking forward to the possible meeting and working with those that could wrest an entire planet for themselves - but straightened and slid the datapad and chit over towards him as she stood. “Very well, Mr. Tarvil. Your money returned I shall return myself to my ship. My regrets to your employers at not being able to complete this exchange, have a good day.” She straightened her jacket and calmly stalked toward the door, only letting her anger sink in when she’d made it outside and out of sight. ‘Self-important’ indeed. She’d requested one simple meeting with those that she was actually doing business with - even Dorjoola had met with her and Hutts were as self-important and vain as they came. She simmered as she opened her wrist-comm and listened to the message there one last time before punching a reply.
  3. She sighed heavily, clearly annoyed at the words flung at her, but that was the only retaliation she took. She eyed the three in front of her, gauging her chances of survival in a fight, weighing in who in here were also loyal to these Gems, before remember the incredibly dangerous game she found herself playing. She remained in her relaxed posture and turned her hands palm-up in a truce-like gesture on the table. “Mr. Tarvil. Good Morning.” she gave him the exact smile she had the Twi’lek, making sure the latter spotted it from her vantage point, “We did have an agreement, yes, but the terms of such has changed. I do not assume I have any importance at all, as my own tribe, every being I’ve met, and now you has taken every pain to make me aware and then remind me that I am not.” She watched them, unmoving, making clear that she was not seeking pity and would not take any if her words elicited any. She survived, simple, no more and no less. “However, from when I left my homeworld to now, I have always met with whom I do business with. No exceptions. I am prepared to sign this upon the condition of one simple meeting of your employers and the answering of a few simple questions. Or,” and she took out the chit that was given to her the night before and laid it beside the datapad, “I can give this back, break our agreement, and sell this to someone who would dain themselves able to speak with someone as lowly as I am.”
  4. Ajani took a sip of the warm liquid of her drink - she’d become addicted to tea when she’d transported it and was offered a sample as, she presumed, a sales tactic - before taking the datapad and slowly reading the terms laid out. Standard procedure of transfer of merchandise, she’d read plenty before, but you can’t be too careful. She’d once found that out the hard way. She silently took another calm sip before she smiled at the Twi’lek agent. “Thank you for seeing me. Everything looks in order. However,” She paused gave a hard look to the agent, “I can’t sign this until I see who I’m dealing with in person. Please contact your employers for a meeting. You understand. I’ll be waiting over there.” She pointed a corner and nodded to the Twi’lek before collecting her tea and crossing the bar to a booth for privacy. Settling in for her wait, she thumbed open her wrist comm and replayed the message from the Black Sun agent for further contemplation. She’d heard rumors of the agency that she wanted confirmed or dispelled before aligning herself with the company.
  5. 0900. That is what he’d said. She would have been there on time...if she had known where the blasted place was. She found the most strategic place - for a bar - to stand to be visible for this agent she was to meet.
  6. A clumsily put together job ad flashes across the screen: Position to be filled: Individual savvy with computers, tracking ability a plus but not required. Salary negotiable. Comm number included in contact information. Can be located on Nar Shaddaa.
  7. Taking the chit she stood from the table, erecting herself to her full height before stalking off towards her ship. She'd secured the ship upon entering, checking on her prisoner - told it of this new turn, or at least as much as she was able before it simply roared at her - and was now standing in front of the ships computer and had been for the last hour. Taking a deep breath, she snarled at herself for not knowing anything and just decided to dive right in. She clumsily plugged away, having been told once how to access different channels of the holonet, until she eventually found something that might have been what was hinted at. Her eyes widened at the price on this target. She was already imagining what she could do for herself and for her ship when she reread the message and blanched at 'Sith Lord.' Well, she could at least try. It was the biggest challenge she could ever think for herself, but she knew that targeting someone of this caliber was going to require help. Sighing again to herself she curbed her frustration as she attempted her own post to the holonet.
  8. Ajani snorted and her eyes narrowed at the tone and command to stay, though she did as....requested. She didn't wait overly long before the male was before her once more. "Hearing from, or seeing now?" She asked with an impatient edge to her voice, "I don't like to be kept waiting. Especially to get paid."
  9. She stretched from side to side, cracking her back and letting him see how lithe and lethal she herself was, and did the same to her neck. She preened at the gleam in his eye at her boast, not at all ashamed of her show of pride. She was a good hunter - a great hunter - only a fool would see otherwise. If these Gems were half as intelligent as their emissary, they would see that as well. At his question her lip twitch and her eyes flashed in amusement. “I believe the posting says thirteen thousand, or can you not read?” she teased him, a feral grin showing her teeth as she enjoyed the amusement after so long alone, “I am named Ajani Lainthok.”
  10. Slowly, so slowly, she reached a hand inside of the pocket of her leather jacket. Never taking her eyes from his, staring him down at the perceived challenge of her worthiness, she smoothed out a carefully folded piece of paper and slid it over the table towards him. On it was a vicious depiction of a large creature: an Ultaarian Greenback. “I do as I please,” she growled out, leaning forward in her seat with both hands pressed to the surface of the table, “I am no pawn to be played in trivial games. I work for myself and I earn for myself. I pick,” she paused, rapping a claw on the paper she’d unveiled to him, “the challenges that I deem worthy of by skills. I care not for why this creature was to be hunted.” Leaning back once more, she crossed her arms across her chest in a show of nonchalance. “It is currently imprisoned on my ship. Alive. Does this...warrant their time and attention?”
  11. Her attention snapped to the source of the voice intruding on the conversation, the atmosphere making it difficult to keep her relaxed posture. Her eyes scanned the stranger for any threats - weapons, weaknesses - before settling on his face. He was tall, but she smirked to herself knowing she had the advantage in that aspect. With a wave of her hand she dismissed the agent she’d been talking to, noting he’d nearly wet himself, since he was no longer useful to her. She stared down - Tarvil, he said his name was - attempting intimidation and nonchalance before responding. “I have a bounty. Turns out who placed it is no longer available to fill it. These Gems, do they make good on bounties here now?”
  12. Ajani wasn't looking forward to dealing with the Hutt. She found the whole race vile, but it was a necessary dealing for she was hungry and her ship needed fuel plus a few repairs if the deal went well. She secured her ship, and the bounty on board, before she made her way to the usual place designated for all of Dorjoola's dealings. The air was different than the last time she'd been here. It was still the hive she remembered, but she couldn't quite place the subtle difference to the air as she walked towards her destination. Her lip curled in a snarl in anticipation of the onslaught of sounds and smells she expected when the door opened, and remained as she quickly scanned for her usual agent. Finding him, she inclined her head in a moment of brief eye contact before choosing a booth and waiting for their approach. After a short time, too long for her taste, a voice grated on her ears, "Lainthok. What a pleasure to see you again, and so soon!" There was always a flourish she never appreciated from this particular agent. "I have a bounty. Inform Dorjoola." Simple. To the point. She was never one to mince words or flatter. She had a job and she'd see it to completion. "That is, unfortunately, not an available action at this moment," the agent confessed, albeit with a hint of glee at the frustrated look it caused Ajani, "Didn't you hear?" When they paused, Ajani simply stared them down. She was growing agitated at being a plaything of this creature. Her ear twitched and her lip curled back once more in a small threat of violence. "Dorjoola no longer holds sway over these parts," they quickly stammered after seeing the flash of teeth, "It's run by a couple pirates now. Gems, they call themselves. They may take your bounty." With a heavy sigh, she leaned back into the booth, drumming her fingers on the tabletop, "And how might I get in contact with them?"
