Naboo

::Malick wasn't sure how he had arrived on Naboo. He was on a refugee shuttle for Corusant. When he exited the shuttle he quickly realized that he was indeed not where he had intended. Then he saw the sign for Sith hopefuls::

::His demeanor was cold and dark. He did not say two words to the Sith that were here to transport them. He just walked on the ship and took a seat::

::Malick didn't know what to expect or how to prepare himself. All he knew was that he was afraid, which would, as he has heard, in time make him powerful::

Piro looked at the man who walked up. This displeased him. So far two people asked where to go when he was leaning on his ship.

"This is truly pathetic. Here I am with a sign while leaning on the side of my ship that is large enough to transport a ten to twenty people, and I am being asked where they should go. Well at least one got on."

Piro looke at the young man who asked the trul stupid question.

"See this ship I'm leaning on, get in it. Why do they need to ask where to go when I'm leaning on a ship. By the way, touch anyithing and i'll desert you on Tattoine after setting you ablaze."

Bishop heard the man, and saw him go back to his starfighter.

"What a stiff." Bishop said under his breath.

He knew for one, never to disobey a direct order from a Sith, ecspeacially a Sith Lord. He sat back and enjoyed the show.

((OOC:

(who are you talking to no one asked a question)

That's funny, I'm here to pick up Sith Hopefuls and you aksed me a question. Although the first statement was to myself, the second was to YOU!))

IC:

Piro walked up to the cockpit of the starfighter and opened it through the Force.

"You refuse a direct order from a Sith Master? You're not even an apprentice! I can program you ship to foloow mine when we leave. Now get out of that cocpit or I will take you to Tattoine right now, set you on fire, and leave you there!"

(ok don't kill me )

Xander watched surprised as the sith master opened the cockpit of his starfighter with a simple wave of his hand. After being threatened he reacted quickly.

"Ok, no sweat man, I just didn't want to give up my starfighter..."

Xander left his starfighter and entered the ship, and dropped on one of the seats.

"We must throw all available droids, into battle!"

"Good."

Piro walked back to the ship after programming the naboo starfighter. He leaned against The Black Hawk II and waited with his sign still up.

::Malick noticed a couple others board the ship. He said nothing to anyone. Malick always was quiet, not much of a socializer. He was hoping that the ship would leave soon. Malick was anxious to start his training. He was fearful of the unknown his training would hold, but he was still anxious. Malick looked around the ship and noticed that he was the only Zabrak aboard. 'Oh well,' he thought to himself as he leaned back and concealed himself in the shadow of the back corner::

Argh!...said Scar while falling out of a tree near the sith hopefuls "bus".

You'd think those branches would be sturdier... he thought.

After recovering from the fall, Scar started to head for the Sith Hopefuls "bus".

Hello Piro, I suppose you want me to get on that ship with everybody else, i hope you don't mind any of my weaponary(spelling?) though. Or would you like to hear my name first?

((OOC: First some pointer's. First, You don't know my name because you currently lack force power except for instincts. Second, The "bus" is my personal sub-freighter, make sure you read up on most of the previous posts before you post. Third, sound out words if your not sure how to spell them. Fourth, put thoughts in italics and statments in qoutes.))

IC:

"No, I don't mind your weapons and no I don't want your name. If I would want to know it I'd probe your mind via the Force. Now get in my ship and sit down and shut up."

OOC: 1. Hmmm, i guess me putting your name was a mistake, but whatever, im sorry, maybe i miss read something earlier about names. 2. I knew what the "bus" was, but why bother writing the sith's personal sub-freighter when i can just write "bus". 3. I guess your right about that, so ...whatever. 4. I'm sorry, i guess im just use to posting how i did, but ill keep what you said in mind.

IC: "Okay Then, Sith, I'll just go in to the ship."

Guess i was wrong about the sith, I'd think they would be more... Cautious.

While in the ship, Scar noticed others in the ship. Some of them about two feet taller then him, him being only 4'' 1'.

Why am i so dang short!

Scar found a seat soon after he got on though, and then he just slumped back into it, waiting for the ship to take off.

Piro had a feeling that the Sith Academey was now finished and ready. He walked up into the ship and closed the walkway. He then turned around and went right into the cockpit. Once he sat down he closed and locked the blast door.

Piro left for the Sith Academey.

In a small, underground bunker beneath some remote foothills, a cloning pod stirred. Surging with power, a hand pried open the door, emerging from the liquid and pulling various tubes out of his body. Gasping for air and disoriented, he realized what must have happened, but can only wonder how. Glancing at the date, he realized it had been 3 years since his most recent memory.

Getting fully dressed and grabbing a pistol and a T21 rifle, he slammed against the stubborn door, having to push various earthen debris out of the way. Mael climbed into a small skiff and lifted off, heading to his hyperspace ring in space...

"Unless you want it the other way around. You stay with the ship and I'll scrounge up the supplies?" she asked.

"I'll get the supplies. Listen, I found these comm units here, keep it on this channel," He clicked the transmittor thrice. "That means we're in trouble and you should take off immediately, Ok?"

"That's fine; Are you wanted here or something?" She asked jokingly.

"No, but in my trade, you learn paranoia pretty quick."

Bringing the ship down into the Theed spaceport, Horus wondered why Shy-Ree was daydreaming so much. Seeing her this way was troubling, because up untill now she had been highly aware and in control. Stepping down the extended exit ramp, Horus took one last look into the cockpit where Shy was lethargicallhy searching the ship for clues as to its owner, or so it seemed.

The streets of theed were quiet, which was a vast departure from the last few planets he had been to. Sitting on a bench, admiring the treelined street, Horus couldn't help but feel safe. I wonder if that's how they felt when the trade federation attacked? A breeze fluttered the trees above him, and he decided to start looking for supplies. Entering the nearest shop he began to gather supplies: food, water, and other such necessities.

"Sir, how much for the supplies here?"

"Two hundred credits." The well groomed old man answered after passing over the supplies with a portable scanner.

After paying for his purchase he moved to leave the shop.

"Excuse me, Excuse me sir - Ah yes. I have something you might want to see."

Walking back into the store Horus looked warily at the man. Pulling a box from under the counter he placed it in front of Horus. It was long and skinny, made with black leather.

"May I -"

"Go ahead."

He opened it slowly, the hinges were creeky, but it moved smoothly enough.

"In the battle of Hypori all of the clone forces were killed as were many Jedi. I was a doctor with the clone army when the ARC troopers came to Hypori to save the remaining Jedi. One of them was injured during the course of the battle and I nursed him back to health during the spaceflight back to Coruscant. He gave me this."

It was an ARC trooper rifle.

"I want you to have it."

"Why?" A bewildered Horus asked.

"I see that you are a soldier, down on his luck too if you don't mind me saying. This will serve you well."

"Thank you."

The ship was still there, which was comforting. Laden down with supplies as he was, there was some trouble going up the ramp. Eventually, Horus found himself inside the freighter. After putting away the supplies he moved in to the cockpit.

"What have you found out while I've been gone?"

"Tell me more about this 'Old Friend' of yours. Is he some kind of criminal, or is he really a friend?" Prepping the ship for takeoff he fired off another query.

"And who is this Jedi you want to find? Was he your master or something like that?"

Seemingly done with his questions, he leaned back in his chair. I want to learn about the force, hmmm, she knows the force. Making up his mind he asked, "How far along in your training are you? I mean are you a Jedi yet or just a trainee, and, do you have a lightsaber? Can you teach me?" He tacked on before stopping to breathe.

She seemed worried about his last outburst, so for his next question he adopted a milder tone.

"Uhh listen, I'm sorry if I've insulted you or anything, I don't really know what to do with you manners wise. You can answer any way you like, but first - Where on Coruscant do you want to go?"

"Ahhh, the story of my life. Ok, first off, I've had many people ask me what I am, and all of them were more rude than you. Well, my father was a human scientist, from Chandrila, and my mother was a Mon Calamari, a Politician. They met in Coruscant, at a place called The Last Call. This was in the early stages of the empire, and my parents were both recently out of work from the coup. They talked, and drank, and next thing you know they got married. My mother replanted her career on Chandrila, and my father, well he was already there. About one year after they were married I came along. I had always shown an aptitude for learning, so I was entered into school early. My dad always taught me beyond what I learned in school, so I have a better grasp of the sciences and Mathematics than most people in the galaxy. My mom taught me politics, she was actually the junior senator from Mon Calamari during the clone wars, and I learned the art of persuasion and ethics from a master. I went to university on Chandrila, Coruscant, and Naboo. I graduated doctor in Astro Physics, Diplomacy, and Engineering." Horus looked down at the ground.

"While I was on Coruscant I went to the military academy. I graduated there and went to officiers school, I am technically Captain Horus Saast (Ret.) I was Honorably discharged after four months in a command in the service with the Imperial Space Navy. I commanded a new Imperial class star destroyer, but it wasn't for me. I went back to school and graduated with my Diplomacy degree on Naboo. When I got back, I found my home destroyed. The empire had killed my parents because they were Rebel sympathizers. At that point all I had was the clothes on my back. While at the academy I had taken the commando training, it was required for the ISD command. So I started taking it back to the bucketheads that killed my parents. I conned and killed my way across the galaxy and found my self on tatooine. So there you have it, the story of my life. How about you?"

Keiran and Mael's Y-Wing streaked through the atmosphere, coming over the Naboo swamps on the opposite side of the planet from Theed. Ah...home. "There master, there should be a clearing on the far side of that pool." They were coming to his small hut, near his underground cloning bunker.

His home after he had left the Naboo city life, one was more apt to see a Gungan than human this far from civilization. His hut sat under the swampy canopy, unable to be seen from the air. Nearby was a small clearing bordering a pool that teemed with life. Inside the hut were some weapons and ammunition, but it was mainly just a shelter from the frequent rains.

The Y-wing hovered above the mossy clearing, settling down with a thud. Glad I threw my napsack in here back at the academy, we have enough supplies for a week or so. Mael hopped out out of the ship, glad to feel homesoil under his feet. He took a deep breath of the moist, earthy air. Much better than Hoth.

Keiran leapt out after Mael.

"This is a beautiful home that you maintain, Mael, and I wish to thank you for your actions on Hoth. You really showed great potential."

Keiran patted the man on the back.

"I'm also glad to see you mastered the way of levitation so quickly."

Keiran motioned to his lightsaber and winked.

"If it won't be too much trouble next time, ask for permission before using my blade. However you showed great proficiency with my blade. Usually, padawans don't build a lightsaber this early on in their training. Albeit after your spectacular display on Hoth, I think it's necessary that we fast track your training."

Keiran unclipped his lightsaber and placed it on the ground. He kneeled on both knees as he unscrewed the machine, showing Mael the interior.

"Throughout my life, i've had quite the ability with mechanics. My original jedi training was extremely mechanically focussed, as I had restored an antiquated AT-AT walker all by myself. I venture to say that this is the most intricately constructed lightsaber in the galaxy. It will be a very good example for you to use to build your own saber."

Keiran carefully extracted the brilliant diamond that he used as a focussing crystal.

"A lightsaber's crystal is one of it's most important parts. All lightsabers have a unique crystal, and you shall need to find your own. I find it appropriate that we are on Naboo, you can find a crystal from your homeplanet."

Keiran showed Mael the diamond and then replaced it in the lightsaber and rescrewed it together. He then stood and looked his apprentice in the eye.

"This is your first task. Find a crystal that you would like to use for your lightsaber. I will stay in your home, meditating. Take all the time you need."

Mael bowed his head in acknowledgement, "Yes Master."

He went inside the hut and grabbed a small pack with 2 days worth of food and water, and decided to leave everything else behind, including weapons. There weren't any caves in the swamp, as all depressions in the earth were filled with water. Looking out over the pool, he thought he remembered where a few rock outcroppings were. He took off at a brisk jog, leaping over and under vegetation.

After 3 hours he finally came to the rock formation he had sought, and took a seat on top of it. After a drink of water and catching his breath, he began inspecting it for any signs of crystals. After half an hour of searching to no avail, he couldn't help but finally admit that he would have no luck here. The only other rock formation he knew was about 15 miles away, but he would have to wait until night so he could use the stars to navigate. Since it was already evening, he climbed up into a tree and adjusted himself in a nook and dozed off.

He awoke at dusk, and as soon as the stars became visible began the long journey. The trip was made longer because he had to avoid the various nocturnal predators about, such as the tusk cats which hunted in packs. At one point he had to take cover in the canopy when he heard a group of Gungans walk by. As they traveled under him, Mael saw that they looked to be the fugitive type. Best to avoid any confrontations. After he deemed it to be safe to travel, he made his way onwards to the rock formation.

6 hours since nightfall, he arrived at his destination, a jagged point of ore extending 30 feet into the air, bordered by a deep pool. Mael once again examined it, but after an hour or careful scrutiny it seemed he again faced failure. Despondant, he perched high above the pool on the outcropping, throwing a stone into the pool. In the shimmering ripples caused by the stone, Mael's attention was drawn to the moon's reflection. Perplexed, he focused at the blue reflection of the moon. Odd, considering Rori is green with forests. Mael stood, and leapt off the rock, splicing headfirst into the water.

Under the water, he opened his eyes, but couldn't see more than a foot or two in front of him. Clearing his thoughts (and holding his breath), he let the Force guide him to what he hoped he had truly seen. 3 feet under the water, he saw a dust pattern of crystals, although they were too small to be useful. He came up for air, and then dove deeper yet. 10 feet down, he spotted a magnificent cluster of crystals, varying from green, blue, and yellow in color. He plucked 3 blue crystals and placed them into his bag, bursting from the water in joy. Crawling up onto the rock, he ate and drank some water, then departed into the forest. As the sun rose, Mael found a nice spot to rest and sleep. He slept and piddled the next day away, as he once again preferred to travel by night, although he could probaly make his way back nonetheless, but one didn't survive in the swamps as long as he had by being reckless. At dusk he once again departed, and the return trip was uneventful.

Shortly before dawn, almost 2 days after he departed, he returned to the hut. His clothes had become a little tattered and his shoulder-length hair was matted with moss, but his spirits couldn't have been more high as was displayed by his beaming countenance. Pulling one of the three crystals out of the pack, he held it before Keiran.

Keiran opened his eyes as he sensed Mael approaching the hut. Suprisingly, the man was tired.

"That shouldn't happen... especially post-meditation."

Keiran shook his head of the clouds of tiredness that remained in his mind and smiled as Mael entered the hut. The blue crystal that the young man bore as he entered the room shimmered with an unbelievable lustre.

"Oh my... it appears you have outdone yourself, Mael. Good for you; I'm sure lots of hard work went into finding this crystal."

Keiran took the crystal from Mael and held it up to the light as he examined it closely.

"It appears that even though it already has an amazing lustre, it's still dirty. Take this crystal to Theed, or the Gungan city, whichever you prefer, and clean it, then cut it using a jeweler's tools. This crystal is your own, create as many facets as you wish, this crystal will reflect you."

"Sorry for the delay Master, this trip shouldn't be as long. The Gungan city is much closer, I'll give that a shot."

He'd take the Y-Wing for this trip. He jumped in the cockpit and lifted above the canopy, and began heading east. Once next to the deep sea, he landed the Y-wing and hopped out. Grabbing a tarp out of the ship, Mael created an air bubble and began to descend. Holding on to a rock, he sank to the Gungan city, and broke through the water barriers.

Immediately met by security, they recognized and welcomed him. He was one of the few outsiders allowed, as he had helped them track down a band of Naboo raiders that had plundered their various outlying settlements. After a few conversations with some old acquantances, he preceeded to a stone-cutter.

Mael worked the pedal, and got the chiseling wheel spinning. He cut a crystal into a shape that would fit a lightsaber. Examining it closely, he noticed that he had put a crack through it, and attempted again. The second time was a success, and after chatting with a few Gungans, he was escorted via ship to the surface, and departed in his Y-wing back to camp.

Landing the fighter in the clearing, he jumped out and entered the hut.

A small, white, Lambda-class shuttle exited hyperspace. Its pilot, Onderin Starlisk, spoke to his apprentice, who was seated in the passenger area just behind the cockpit. "Sabian, this is Naboo," he said. "During your visions on Ilum I felt a disturbance through the Force. This disturbance should not have been felt by many, for it concerns my old Master, Keiran Valoria. It was only through our bond that I felt this."

The Admiral of the Alliance continued. "There was something...disturbed...about his Force sense. I don't know why, but the Force is telling me to find him," he explained. "He'll be in exile, my senses tell me that. I suggest that we start as far from civilization as possible and work our way generally towards Theed.

"This is to be your first mission as a part of your fieldwork training, which starts now. We will need to do a thorough search--my old Master is quite resourceful. There are ways to speed up the process, but I'll leave those up to you to discover," he finished.

Onderin didn't hesitate, but guided the shuttle towards the clogged swamps as far from Theed as he could get. This could take some time, but there were things that had undoubtedly found Keiran that could help guide them to him, and he was willing to do a good bit of searching.

There was something that told him to be cautious about the whole mission, though. Perhaps it was military instict, picked up in his climb through the ranks of the Alliance. But it was more likely of his Jedi training. He was here for personal reasons, because of a personal attachment that he had been warning Sabian about all along.

But regardless of any of that, he had to do what he was doing. It was good training for Sabian and himself--confronting Keiran was not likely to be easy.

Keiran smiled as Mael entered the hut.

"You're making leaps and bounds my young apprentice."

Keiran took the newly cut gem from Mael and examined it once more. It was like a blue light in the middle of the hut.

"This jewel has beautiful craftsmanship, you'll make a fine lightsaber with this."

Keiran unclipped his own blade from his belt and handed it to Mael.

"Now, here is the most challenging part of your quest for a lightsaber. To construct one, I don't have blueprints like they would have at the jedi temple. So, we'll have to make do and use my assembled lightsaber as a reference. You can take my blade apart and observe the way it was put together, and assemble yours in a similar fashion. You will then have to reassemble mine as well, so really, you'll be constructing two lightsabers. This experience will put you far ahead of any apprentices being babied at the temple using a blueprint from the archives, so savour the difficulty of your task and look forward to the reward."

Keiran grabbed a clone wars era laser rifle from Mael's hut's wall and slung it over his back.

"I'm sure this has sentimental value, so I will take good care of it. I will leave you in solitude, here in your home, as you construct your weapon. You will of course need many hard to find supplies, so the ship we arrived in is at your disposal. While I'm gone, I'll stay extra sensitive to the force, I'm sure when you finish, you'll send ripples of pride through this jungle. So worry not."

Keiran clasped Mael's shoulder and smiled.

"You'll do fine."

Keiran then walked out the door, leaving Mael to mull over the immense task placed before him.

- He receieved a mild shake on the shoulder, stirring him awake as the two made their final descendance upon the new planet. Starring up at his Master, Onderin Starlisk, it became clear that there was an expression upon his face that the boy rarely ever saw. Amoungst the hardened facial features he expressed continously, there were only few times where the man would pry himself of it and let foreign emotions inside be shown. Onderin's face was mixed with concern, barely cracking through that toughened fascade of emotions that masked his true feelings. -

- Almost like a sixth sense, Sabian would know all of what he felt; the deep concern over someone dear to you that was hard to relinquish. Perhaps the gifts of the natural presence he felt surrond the situation gave way to this but, most of this felt personal, and he would make the mission concern him just as much as it concerned Onderin. What effected one of two undoubtly had an effect on the other, in some small or large way. He was too young to realize what the hidden danger it might cause in the future. -

- His left arm, already possessing the newly fitted lightsaber, turned over to his right and looped the device's hilt over to the far left side of his belt. There, he then place it's edge on the inside the loop while that large brown overcloak rested on either side of his shoulders, flowing downwards. The metallic frame that concealed the blade still felt warm to the touch of his fingertips, despite being forged on the frigid planet of Hoth. Either shiny black boots of his moved forward out of his seat, planting flat foot on the ground, as he began to stand upright once more. Energy came back to him after his long ordeal, and he felt well rested, alert; both in mind and body. -

"If it concerns you, then I shall do what is best for both you and for outcome of this mission."

- The young man's voice trailed with a sort of confidence, amoungst the darkness the conversation held. Even though his feelings were based on presumptions, the unmistakenable aura that surronded the mission exuded the Dark Side on both parts. Sabian had no idea what was left between them; even unsure of what may happen when Onderin and himself grow apart. -

..No.

- He couldn't think of that. He wouldn't think of that, not now. Moving the gesturely feeling to the far corners of his mind, the young man strode towards the Lambda's shuttle bay doors. It opened out at a downward angle, presenting a platform before him to which he took the first step upon. -

- Turning his head behind him, either hand resting upon his hips in a motion of strength, the young man spoke out towards his Master in a very powerful yet, soothing way that reached far beyond his age. -

"Shall we search together or am I to go alone?"

- There was a certain excitement about the mission, though. It had only been just recently on Hoth that he had been on a seperate planet either then Selvaris. It seemed like ages now since his days on Coruscant. The effects of the excitement and anxiousness played out the boy's confidence that exuded with the Force around him. -

'There may be ways to speed the search up..' I will find that way..

- There was a gut feeling, deep inside him, that heeded caution to the confident winds that enveloped Sabian's presence. He felt that there might be more to the situation then revealed, and to proceed with more caution then confidence. But that was just a gut feeling, commonly triggered inside the boy when faced with a challenge. He'd have to rise above it in order to make it minuscule enough to be masked what he truly believed in was so. -

"We are to go together. The time for training is over. Now we need to combine our strengths and talents for maximum efficiency," Onderin answered firmly. "Besides, when we find him, I'm going to need to be there to do some talking."

The Admiral decided to lead on in that mind. He dropped his hand to rest upon his lightsaber amongst his green Corellian robes, then started heading in the nearest direction that he could sense his Master in. It was rather vague, and very few Jedi could pinpoint another Jedi through the Force, so he wasn't sure he was exactly right, but he was close.

Stretching out with the Force, Onderin widened his sphere of conciousness to take in all the life around him. Every creature had a mind and a memory, though many were limited. "Sabian, feel the beings around you. They remember things just like what was discovered in our training. Treat this as our child's game of hide-and-seek. This is application," he said.

In a way he found it rather coincidental that he had played the game with Sabian and now it was being applied perfectly in a real mission. But then he reminded himself that there were no true coincidences in the Force, and that the training had been the way it was due to the guiding hand of the Force.

This mission was in the Force's plan. Onderin would do the best he could, and he would not come away with failure.

After leaving the hut, Keiran entered the dense jungle and let the force lead him.

"What I'm being led to however... I don't know."

Keiran reached forward to try to sense what was ahead of him.

"There is too much life on this planet to specifically pinpoint what is in front of me. Although there is an odd sense of familiarity ahead of me... but I've never been on Naboo before this..."

Keiran continued to trek forward as he debated over the mystery that was ahead of him.

- There was a quick second where he could respond after Onderin's comments but, no such verbal acknowledgement was made. The young man would simply nod his head, trying to listen to the environment that bound him to the Force, and the Force to he. Unaware of exactly what kind of subject they were following, other then he or she once being Onderin's teacher, there was a larger chance that the creatures that surronded the outer area would not be so accustomed to seeing other beings; especially not ones with a Jedi. As primitive of minds they have, something such as an incounter with human life would be hard to mistake. -

- Just a step behind and out from his Master's own steps, he strode forward with that eager open mindedness displayed before they had directly landed on Naboo. There was an interesting feel the dense jungle, filled with the objects of the living through numerous trees, plants, and animals. The aspect of the Force was not hard to reach out to. The boy's right hand curled up next to his chest, feeling out with every inch of his being the area around him. -

- His sense of perception moved in long wave patterns, acting as a system to catch and absorb any recent distractions or movement in their path recently. Nothing came into focus at first, not for a while. This, indeed, was a perfect chance to test his grasp on the talents he learned on Selvaris to their full extent. Guided only by what seemed to be a speckle of shimmering light, held only inside his mind as a remote feeling, the young man would heed to it's calling; expanding it's position with what control he had over it. -

- A mild point of his hand, heading eastward, was displayed; his arm long enough to catch the full attention of the side of Onderin's eye as Sabian turned his ceased heels over in the direction he pointed. -

"I sense something small, very small.. directly over there. It grows closer with each step.."

- ..As so it did. He hadn't truly realized it until now but, almost like getting hotter to an open flame, he could feel it's presence deepen much like the fire. Leading him on into the direction, the vision perceived by the Force came to the young boy. There was a break in the dense vines that hung over the area, high enough to rule out an animal, and hard enough to the point that it created splinters outwards, not inwards. -

- Extending his right hand from his robe's sleeves, the young man gently took up either broken pieces of the vine, holding it up cautiously up in the direction of Onderin. -

"Someone has been here recently. Too high to be the local animals we've seen.. This may or may not be coincidence but, I shall furthur my search upon any living beings that might have seen anything recently."

- Every animal they saw ruled from scaley invertabretes and fur-covered rodents to small deer and four legged creatures, barely a meter tall from head to toe. The broken vine did seem out of place but, it wasn't enough to rule a time period. Every living thing did seem to have a home somewhere though. He'd have to stretch his hold upon the Force more to reach them, high or low. -

- Closing both eyes, the young man stretched his exposed right hand out to the side of him, mind concentrated upon the living animals that remained scattered throughout the area. Life on Coruscant wasn't filled with as many animals as these but, there were plenty rats and scavengers to be seen past every street corner. -

- As the connectors in the great network of the Force worked, there was suddenly a small pull on, like a fisherman's line suddenly being jerked down with a lively tug. Stretching out upon the feeling, just as with the twig, he continued to follow it's path; dearly sure to notify his Master to be near with a variety of hand motions, open palm for stopping, then closed palm to continue. -

- Sure enough, he came across a lifeform that resembled a long nose rodent, stripes of fur that camuflagued him in the surrondings, that laid open the ground. Sabian made quick use of his mind control abilities to settle the rats natural tendencies to run away, while matched with his healing presence of the Force he also presented to soothe his troubled mind. The two power sources acted as a calming distraction, while he worked quickly in what was the rodent's mind. -

- Rats were easily startled, knowing clear well when danger was around, but they had the best eye sight so they offered the best perspective on the matter. Almost like strips of flim, he began to piece the rat's scattered thoughts and emotions to two beings that looked entirely human; one older gentlemen accompanied by a younger human, looking to be only a tad older then himself. -

- His control upon the rodent's mind relinquished, freeing it from his calm control method and allowing the boy himself to retrace what was seen into words to his Master. -

"There was an older man, human, accompanied by a younger companion, that pasted by what seemed not too long ago. They were heading in the direction in which the vine broke..

If we arrived any later, I feel the information from these animals would prove to be less then worthy but, it's our best shot at finding them."

- The advice he gave to the mission would prove worthwhile now. Discovering the objectives and the direction in which they headed was an accomplishment in it's own but, the boy could already feel the extent of his natural abilities reach it's ends. From this point on, matched by what guidance in which Sabian offered, it felt like Onderin was the one to feel a stronger connection as they drew nearer and lead the way. -

- He even continued on to say with his thoughts, immediatly following his previous comment.. -

"I believe that this all I can offer you, as far as tracking our target is concerned. Based with the perception you have with your own Master, it will probably grow as we draw closer to him..

I wouldn't be surprised if he has sensed your presence as well."

- Folding his hands back into the long brown robes sleeves, Sabian would wait upon the reaction of his own Master before following the next move. After all, it was not his to make from this point out, it was his Master's. -

~ There is no doubt a living, breathing connection that Sabian Devanus feels with Onderin Starlisk. He has owed so much to him; his own life and well being, the life he leads now, and it was his full intention to stand by the man through better or worst. ~

"Yes," Onderin said, searching the forest immediately around him. "I can feel him nearby. His presence is almost reassuring in and of itself, but I can tell he's disturbed about something important to him."

The Jedi Knight looked at Sabian. "You have done well to get us this far, Sabian," he commended the boy. "You'd make a good CorSec operative were you not a Jedi already."

Admiral Starlisk let the Force guide him now. He would not try and think things out--that would only lead to confusion. His apprentice had already done the extent of what could be done without a Force bond, so he would take the search into his own hands now. He felt he didn't need to say this aloud, but rather he closed his eyes as communication enough.

Taking careful steps, Onderin searched. Keiran's presence was almost an explosion through the Force, and the younger Jedi practically trying to find the center of the explosion while inside it himself. It was difficult to do, but the Force gave him vision. It allowed him to see through the debris and the smoke and the flame.

The Force was focused the most in a spot not far away, and Onderin took a few steps towards it. He opened his eyes, reinforcing what he saw through the currents of the Force with visual orientation, which wasn't as reliable but was enough to find a physical being for sure.

Rounding one last tree, the Jedi Knight saw Keiran. "Master," he said with recognition and something close to surprise. "I've found you."

Yes, this was the almost-cocky and laid-back Jedi that Onderin had been taught by those years ago. It felt right to see him again, though usually simply interacting with an old friend and mentor was not as powerful in emotion. Onderin could understand it to a degree, but not to this extent. It was the will of the Force, he reminded himself.

There is nothing good in war. There is good in why we fight them.

"Unbelievable"

Keiran grinned and embraced Onderin in a firm hug.

"Bless the force, it is good to see you again my apprentice."

Keiran shook the Onderin's companion's hand; Keiran could sense the man was just awakening in the force.

"Must be his apprentice"

Keiran turned back to Onderin and patted his shoulder.

"My my... you've grown in my absense. Your force presence has matured and is a lot more refined. I'm very proud of your progress, Onderin. What brings you to these modest jungles?"

Mael sat down on the floor of his hut, examining the deassembled pieces of Keiran's lightsaber. He had stared at the parts for 2 hours, making a mental blueprint. This is truly marvelous engineering. It would have taken Mael years to think of some of the power saving and boosting designs that had been incorporated into this.

Mael stripped various parts off of the Y-Wing, and cut it into strips and casing with a cutting torch. He put Keiran's saber back together, but it failed to ignite. Taking it apart, he noticed that he inverted one of the power channeling circuits, and reassembled it successfully. Once he had the basic design down, he assembled a simpler version for himself. Although not as elegant or energy efficient, it wasn't a bad start. For the first time in his training, he had success on his first try, as he ignited the blue blade.

Still not satisfied, he spent the next 6 hours incorporating some of Keiran's unique mechanical designs into his saber. Instead of relying on Keiran's intricate and cramped design, Mael opted for a more open and simple design for increased reliability. Once finished, Mael stepped outside and ignited the saber, slowly swining it in wide arcs.
