Bespin: (Black Sun's) Cloud City

Vash noted Ordeena's thinly veiled threat, a common tactic my criminals of his nature. But Vash also had no doubt Ordeena was more than willing to kill Vash for failure. Whether his little comment was true or not didn't matter, the message was received. The appearance of the blood was what startled him. As a Shi'ido, he still had some semblance of respect for life.

"I must refuse your hospitality. I mean no disrespect, but other matters have come up."

Without giving the Twi'lek a chance to respond, he was soon heading back to Coruscant. He knew just how to go about this.

"Humans, how pathetic."

My will is to wait, we wait for our enemies to expose themselves then destroy them.

What is the status of the Elite Mercenary Unit? And as for Geki perhaps we should show mercy this once. He has been fairly loyal in the past, one little run over in the cantina shouldn't have him killed. However, he no longer has a free pass to land near the palace or here. He has lost any Hutt job.

I will stay here a bit longer. When I leave you will accompany me back to Tantooine.

Ob Ordeena brings his right hand to his right ear, and closes his eyes. After a moment, the gangster smiles, and pulls a small device out of his ear - a one-way communicator of sorts.

"A probe droid of yours has just witnessed Rane Scando and a few others taking down both Piccolo and the traitor Jidai Geki. I don't know if they are dead or not, but either way, they won't be bothering us again anytime soon. One Tekkan Raas was also grievously injured - I'll give the lad a few more credits for his suffering..."

*Appearing through the gassious clouds of Bespin, the Ogariv II looks oddly out of place among the cloud cars, gas freighters, and floating stations of the planet. The ship made it's slow approch of Cloud City. He transmitted the clearance codes, and told the controller to send a message to Whyl that Raynuk Montar had arrived*

"Are they expecting us?" Jaina said quietly from behind him, her hands falling onto his shoulders. He said nothing for a moment, and she was preparing to repeat the question as he gestured to the viewport. Looking up, the sight nearly took her breath away.

In a swirling aura of blazing sunset, the clouds of Bespin were aflame with colors. Purples, oranges, yellows, reds, blues - the sky was full of variety, filling Jaina's eyes with a kaleidoscope of wonderment. Catching her breath, she sank down onto her heels, her right hand traveling across his shoulders and down his left arm to come to a final rest on his hand.

"You do have your moments," she whispered, turning her eyes up to gaze at his chiseled features. "It's beautiful."

*But the look on Raynuk's face didnt change from the seriousness that had been there since he spoke. He turned to her, and for a split second, she saw fear in his eyes...but before she could see it again, it was gone, leaving her wondering if she truely had seen it in him.

"Back on Mimban...you said you knew who sent the Bounty Hunter after you....I need to know who it was Jaina. That is why I am meeting with the Hutts. I refuse to let someone take you from me."

*The words were ment to shock her, and shock her they did. She stood speechless as Raynuk took her hand in his and squeezed it, watching her*

"And tio answer your question, yes...they are."

Her pupils flared in a mixture of fear, shock, and wonderment, giving her that somehow childish aura. With a sharp movement she nodded, standing, as he took her hand.

"It's an educated guess, of course, but...I think it's Searcy."

The answer obviously took him aback as he frowned in confusion, but the gírl didn't elaborate. The memories were still somehow disappointing, and she preferred not to dwell on them. But why would Raynuk need to know that, in coming to the Hutts... She gasped, her free hand flying to her mouth in revelation.

"Yes Jaina...Hes been a bit too Independant for the Sith's liking aswell..."

*The Ogariv II landed finally, and Raynuk stood from the pilot's chair to exit the ship, and meet with Whyl. He turned at the door and held his hand out, waiting for her to take his hand. He wanted to bring her to show Whyl that it was more than buissness.*

The ramp lowered as Raynuk turned and offered her his hand. Jaina exhaled heavily as she took it, interlacing her fingers with his and standing close to his side as they went the length of the catwalk. Thoughts and possibilities were once again swirling in her head, interlacing with memories to give her a shuddering flashback.

"That bounty hunter, above Mimban..." Jaina was nearly whispering, her voice just loud enough for him to hear. "He was there for me, wasn't he?"

"I belive so Jaina...it makes sence of course, Searcy has become a rogue sith bounty hunter, so im sure he would have the connections to pull something like that...While you were gone, I checked the Holonet....Your wanted for 33 thousand Credits, but the only source I could find was the Black Sun. And I know the Hutts have no love for them, plus...I've come to them before in need..."

*He went on to explain to her more what would happen as they waited for Whyl to grant them an audience*

*Raynuk walked into the room, and his eyes shifted to meet Whyl's, with a calm and cool demenour, looking around the room. He smiled at the Hutt, and knew that the Hutt was just slightly edgy around this Sith.

"Ah, it is good to see you are prospering well Whyl...It is good to know the Hutt Empire is expanding nicely. A series of events within the last week or so has troubled me...a bounty hunter came to the Sith planet looking for me...I was lucky enough to convince the bounty hunter that I was not on the planet at that time, but his arival sparked an interest in why he was following me..."

*Raynuk went on in great details about his in depth search of the Holonet, and the things he had found, as well as the connections that he had peiced together in the end. He again voiced his concerns and the knowledge he knew about the target.

"It will not be easy...but I have faith that your team can get it done. Does this suit you Whyl?"

There was a look in Raynuk's eyes that basicly said 'You better say yes'. He was in no mood to toy with details at the moment.

"And I will be sending in one of my own people to work with your team, I hope that is alright."

Looking at the Sith Master Wyhl spoke.

Of course I except, the Sith are good friends to me and you are no different.

Wyhl knew Raynuck felt somewhat uncomfortable, but shrugged it off. His nubby hand troked his chin and went back down to his enormous side.

Who will be accompanying my team? Last time I sent two force users they seriously destroyed my mission.

*Raynuk nodded as Whyl spoke and replied*

"Hmm, well it will be Impious again I am afraid...he is the only Sith who really has no personal agenda...ever. But I give your team permission to kill him if he gets in the way Whyl, so long as the targets are killed. For start, I will put the bounty at 1 million credits per target, and each member who participates in the take down will receive the reward. Do you have any stipulations Whyl?"

*Raynuk smiled and stood up before bowing to Whyl before and approaching the Hutt*

"It has been a plesure doing buissness with you again Whyl...I trust our comming alliance will prosper us both, and do not hesitate to contact me if the need for a change arises..."

*He bowed again, and oddly enough made a move to shake the Hutt's bluberous hand. Once that had been done, Raynuk returned to Jaina and walked out of the room hand in hand with her*

As soon as the door shut behind them, Jaina's feet stopped moving, Raynuk's momentum wrenching his hand out of hers. As he turned to look at her, her eyes narrowed slightly and she jerked a thumb back towards the room they had emerged from.

"There's something wrong here. I just get the oddest feeling..."

Her eyes darkened slightly, something in them bearing a solemn, cautious air.

*Raynuk frowned and shifted his eyes back up to the door before walking back to Jaina and kissing her forhead again, trying to reconvince her*

"Perhaps...but Wyhl will not risk crossing the Sith, especially in a time when we are prepared to ally with eachother..."

*His smile faded slightly as his eyes looked at the door*

"...and he knows not to cross me."

The Shadow Rider emerges out of hyperspace near Bespin. At the controls of the ship, Rane Scando immediately transmits a set of codes to Cloud City, and then proceeds at his own pace. No Skipray Blastboats rise out of the clouds to meet the Shadow Rider ”“ Scando needed no escort, the Hutts trusted the veteran bounty hunter. The Shadow Rider touches down on an open landing pad, and Scando himself appears a moment later. As Scando heads to Ob Ordeena's office to meet with both Ordeena and, of course, Wyhl the Hutt, RS-9 carries the wounded Tekkan Raas out of the ship and brings the young mercenary to one of Cloud City's medical centers...

*Ronin's ship, The Grave Breaker dropped out of high orbit above the great gas planet. Ronin tapped the ash off his cigarette into an empty pocket, since evidently KvC didn't think to put an ash tray in the damn cockpit. *

"Damned KvC in his cheap ass ships."

*A screen popped up with an emergency comm to his ship. Evidently Bespin wasn't a free city anymore. Alas, it was all owned by the Hutts, and to visit would require that you had business with the Hutts. Ronin was not too concerned about this. The man on the Comm demanded his name and business.*

"I'm Ronin, I'm kind of short, I like stealing, long walks on the beach and sometimes I cry when I'm alone."

*Ronin was promptly told to shut the hell up, then was given permission to land. Ronin landed his ship and headed out, looking for Rane...*

Just as Rane Scando was about to enter Ob Ordeena's office, the communicator at the veteran bounty hunter's side beeps - Scando brings the end of the communicator to his ear, listens to the words of his droid, RS-9, and then once again attaches the communicator to the side of his utility belt. Turning around, Scando walks for a few minutes, enters a turbo-lift, rides upwards, exits the turbo-lift, and proceeds to look for the newest member of the Elite Mercenary Unit - Ronin Wartide. Scando finds the former pirate wandering down a passageway, a restricted passageway at that.

"Always causing trouble, Wartide, you're always causing trouble. How you doing, you old pirate?"

*Ronin looked around and then just threw the butt of his cigarette into the corner.*

"I was just looking around for you, and I saw a door marked 'Restricted: Keep out on pain of death' and I thought you might be behind it, or at very least candy might be. The only thing I found was weapon crap. I can't eat guns. I haven't been able to do that since college."

*Ronin grinned, intentionally making Rane wonder if Ronin was serious.*

"Heh, just kidding. I never went to college. So why has Ob called us here?"

"A job - from what my droid has found out by snooping around, we'll be hunting down and eliminating a couple of Sith warriors, or something along those lines. Funny thing is, the Hutts are acting as the middle party for this one, we're going to be paid to hunt the Sith, by the Sith. Should be interesting, to say the least. Let's go to Ordeena's office."

Scando and Wartide exit the restricted passageway.

"Tekkan Raas should be there soon, as well. Son took a beating on Tatooine, but he gave as good as he got, if not better..."
