(( Idejjen... I was thinking probably something like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Revan007/idejjendemo1.jpg

or this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Revan007/idejjendemo2.jpg

Which do you prefer? Keeping in mind that he has a backpad looking apparatus on his back that actually houses his lekku. Basically, it's purpose is to disguise the fact that he has twi'lek in him. That help? ))

Durose raises a curious eyebrow at Idejjen's question, "Do you mean mediclorians? If you do, those are the silly things jedi believe in. They believe that they relate to your affinity to the force. The truth is, anyone can have an affinity to the force. It just takes knowledge and practice. But..."

Suddenly, Durose is interrupted by a comm. He looks over at his device. It's Victoria.

"Where is in the world are you!?" She begins with irritation in her voice.

"Ouch. No 'Hi. This is Victoria. How are you doing, Durose?' to start thing off?"

"Durose!"

Durose grins with a little chuckle, "What's wrong now?"

"You! That's what!"

Durose looks around innocently as if he was talking to her face to face, "Me? What did I do?"

"That's exactly it. It's what you haven't done! Durose, me and Gan have been waiting for you for well over an hour now. What. Did you just forget about us or something?!"

Durose pauses to whisper "oh yeah" before replying, "Actually, I had important security business that I had to tend to. Of course, I just concluded by meeting with Brina so I guess I maybe can head your way."

"Durose."

"Ok. I will head your way. Heading over there now."

"Make it snappy."

"Yup. Durose out."

As he switched off the comm, Durose turned to Idejjen.

"Women..."

Placing the comm in his pocket, Durose smiled, "Victoria is funny when she is mad. I'll give her that... Come on, Idejjen. We have work to do. We have a prisoner to take care of and then an investigation to commence with. Follow me."

***---***

Victoria returned to the cell where Ganelon was being held with a plate of food.

"I managed to get you a plate of nightcrawlers and grub worms. I hope this will hold you over for now," she informed him as she entered the cell and handed him the plate.

"I also took the liberty of contacting Durose and he said he was on his way," she added as she once again joined him on the bench.

Leaning her back against the wall, Victoria engaged Ganelon in some more idle chat while he ate and they waited.

***---***

Durose turns the last corner on the way to the holding areas. Finding a nearby terminal, he used his access codes to look up the current list of inmates and locate Ganelon and take care of some other needed business.

Closing out the program, he then motions for Idejjen to follow. Finding the room, he enters.

From inside the cell, Victoria looks towards the door as it opened. Rising to her feet, she exits it to greet the new arrivals.

"D@#%!" was the first word out of her mouth as she sees the giant suited figure standing beside Durose. "You sure know how to pick 'um, don't you?"

At this point, Durose had gotten used to Idejjen enough that her response somewhat surprises him until he turns to his side and realizes she was refering to Idejjen, "Well, it's nice to see you, too. Yup, this is our newest member, Idejjen. So where's our prisoner?"

Victoria pointed to the cell, still staring at Idejjen.

"Thank you," Durose replied, walking by Victoria and up to Ganelon's cell. "Well, well. It would seem you had a little altercation the other night. No worries, though. I've already taken the liberty of alerting the medical staff. That Duros got beaten up so hard that when he wakes up he won't even remember the last 24 hours... I'm sure..."

Durose winks.

"In fact, when he comes to in the medibay he will discover that our medical team has done a wonderful job patching him up after he started that nasty brawl the other night with another one of our patrons."

Opening the cell door, Durose gestured outside, "You are free to go."

Suddenly, Victoria glares at Durose and raises her voice, "That's it! He did all that and that's it! You'd probably fire me if I did that! You can't tell me that's all he gets! That's not even a slap on the wrist!"

Durose finds her reaction actually quite hysterical but withholds a smile, thinking for a few seconds before he replies, "So you think he deserves something worse?"

"Yes."

"You think he might do something like this again if not properly punished?"

"Yes!"

"I should set a precident with him?"

"Sure... why not," Victoria replies throwing her hands up.

"Ok," Durose smiles, "Ganelon of Sanferon or wherever... you are officially on probation. I am restricting you from alcohol for a minimum sentence of a week. You will go in for an evaluation a week from today and if everything checks outs, the restrictions will be lifted. If not, they will be extended and so on. You know the drill, I'm sure. I think I don't need to tell you that any more physical violence will not be tolerated. In addition to that, you will be accompanied by a probation officer at all times to make sure that you don't get yourself or the Link into any more trouble."

Durose turned to Victoria, "How's that?"

Victoria nodded, "That sounds a little more reasonable."

"Good. Then it's settled. Victoria, you will be Ganelon's probation officer for the duration of his restriction. I suggest you pick out a suitable two bed room as you two will be sharing a room for the duration.

"Wai...wha?"

"Keep an eye on him 24/7. He's valuable to the Link and we don't need him getting into anymore trouble. The sooner he gets off, the sooner things return to normal. Make sense?"

"Wha... Durose! Don't play like that! That isn't funny!"

Durose turns to look Victoria squarely in the eyes, "Good, because I'm not joking."

Walking towards the exit, Durose motions for Idejjen to follow, "Come, Idejjen. We have an investigation to begin."

Victoria is left watching and muttering, "bu, bu, bu..." in shock and disbelief as the two exit the room.

Finally turning around, Victoria looks at Ganelon, muttering very spitefully under her breath and through her teeth, "Durose, you B@$%@! I'm going to kill you!"

Outside, Durose turns to Idejjen very casually as they walked down the hallway, "So what was it we were talking about, again?"

Brina entered the information into the computer. "Revenge, eh?" she commented, sizing up his scar. "Seems like she has a just reward coming to her for that gift."

She really didn't care what happened to the girl. It was almost refreshing. True, they would lose any future business from her, but that didn't matter much in the scope of things. Besides, Brina found herself missing her old life more and more recently, and this encounter with a rude hunter reminded her sharply of the type she used to hang out with.

The computer returned 10 matches, only 7 of which were identified as female. Obviously, the computer had included feminine-looking men on it's list of possibilities. Some of the women simply had gray hair, and he elimination of them dropped the list to 8.

Downloading it onto a datapad, she handed it to the man. "Any of these look familiar?"

Famished, he eats up, though he was in the mood for more conventional fare, he decided it would be best to keep to his manners.

Ganelon walks over as Durose makes his entry, and to his surprise finds the still hideously ugly Idejjen accompanying. Still, seeing his possible salvation (or damnation, but he didn't care at this point) put him in a rather bright mood.

"Mr. Roshan, good to see you." His orange eyes drift over to Idejjen and his smile widens. "Ah, I see you've moved up in the world. Splendid. I think you'll make a perfect security officer." His gaze turns back to Durose as he assumes a somber, penetant expression.

At that point, Durose opens the cell door and states five beautiful words:

You are free to go.

The smile that widens on his face and jubilent look turns immediately sour once Victoria's outburst starts. Despite the increasingly frosty look in his eyes, rising from her sudden desire to throw the book at him, his smile widens, breaking into full out laughter when Durose assigns him his probation officer. At the pronouncement of his new roomate, he falls to the floor from laughing so hard, ignoring the sharp pains from his previous night's injuries.

"Take care Durose! Many thanks!" He calls, still laughing and rolling on his back. He hears Victoria swear and watches her turn to him. "Well roomie," he states lightly, his eyes glittering with amusement. "I think this calls for a drink," he states with deliberate irony, holding up his hands. "If you'd be so good as to help me up. I think we should probably look into this investigation too. I'm curious about it and thinking I can probably help get to the bottom of it."

((OOC: thanks for the extstensive models!! I like the 2nd one... by the way, how did you make them... photoshop, rhino? I'm curious, because I am interested in becoming a digital artist, and I am starting college soon to pursue a major in that field (I have no previous experience due to the choices I've made in highschool, but I am interested in art, and have rudimentary drawing skills that I hope to improve (I hope to learn to paint as well) but I have no skills in computer art which is why I asked) Anyway... sorry for the tangent... just curious))

... Idejjen was satisfied with answer given by Durose at the moment, for he had remembered researching Jedi, and what they stood for; the stood for peace and justice... yet, it made him wonder why it was bad that he had a lot of mediclorians? ...

Anyway, for the time being, Idejjen had an investigation at hand, so that issue would have to wait...

...For the next procession of events, Idejjen listened obediently without further question, because... if it weren't for durose, he wouldn't be anywhere, plus he's the security chief, it would not be good to get on his bad side...

The only point in which Idejjen showed great effort to respond, was when they went into the holding cells, where an old friend was held....

Idejjen, ignoring the human with an outstretched finger gaping at his enormity, goes over to Ganelon in his new armor, and says...

Idejjen: "Hi, long time no see Ganelon"

"Ah, I see you've moved up in the world. Splendid. I think you'll make a perfect security officer."

Idejjen: "yeah (preens at the noticable compliment), and thank you... I think I will make a good security officer too... so far, I am getting a lot of hands on experience, and on my first day too..."

after that, Idejjen walks over to the human who was still shocked, shakes his head, and then rejoins durose...

watching the events unfold put a smile on Idejjen's face because, admitably, it was rather funny... but as Durose and Idejjen left, what the woman uttered was not particularly polite... Anyway, now was the time Idejjen could finish what he was saying to Durose, and it seemed... he had the same Idea...

Outside, Durose turns to Idejjen very casually as they walked down the hallway, "So what was it we were talking about, again?"

Idejjen: "oh, I just had something come up; a flashbak from the time of my creation, and I remembered a red alert having to do with the number of mediclorians I have... I didn't really understand all the hulabaloo over it, but it seemed to be a pretty big deal to the person who created me; I just wanted to get your input on that... ... ... Oh! by the way, who was that? the person we met in the holding area; the one who seemed suprised to see me"

(( Idejjen, see the pm ))

Victoria looked Ganelon up and down indignantly, "Fat chance! You'll be lucky if you're even drinking water by the time this week is over."

Victoria paused, thinking about her current situation. Her hands crumpled and her muscles tensed for a few seconds before she exploded with a "grrauh!". Throwing her hands up in the air before resting them in her hair, Victoria turned and stormed out of the room.

***---***

Durose leads Idejjen towards the main security footage room as he continues the conversation, "Ah. Well, that's a good thing. In fact, I could probably teach you a thing or two about my fighting style if you're interested. It favors the more force sensitive among us."

Durose suddenly raises a curious eyebrow as a smile parts his lips, "Who? Victoria? She's my assistant. She seems to have a thing for tall guys, but I don't really think you're probably her type. Of course, I could be wrong. The only thing I seem to be always right about when it comes to her is how to get under her skin."

Durose chuckles.

"But I assure you, even if she won't admit it, she loves me for it."

Rune followed the droid to the table. Sitting down at the table he took the menu from the waiter and perused it.

"I'll have a Bespin Beef Steak, medium rare, with vegetables and a Corellian Ale, Thank you." He responded to the droid when asked his order.

He sat back in his chair, looking out at the stars while he waited for his beverage and meal to arrive.

Droid: thank you Mr. Vale. your meal will be processed in approximately 5 minutes...

The droid scurries off to let Rune enjoy his time....

=- 5 minutes pass -=

the droid returns with everything that Rune ordered impeccably set on a silver platter...

Droid: here you go sir.. now, if you need anything more, don't be afraid to push this button... I, unlike previous human waiters, will not be considered rude or impatient if you push it too much..

*the Droid hands Rune a rather elegant red button marked: ** Customer Service**

Droid: meanwhile, enjoy your night

Idejjen: "thanks durose... I am kinda new to this concept, but I am not afraid to learn when there is such a capable teacher.."

"Who? Victoria? She's my assistant. She seems to have a thing for tall guys, but I don't really think you're probably her type. Of course, I could be wrong. The only thing I seem to be always right about when it comes to her is how to get under her skin."

Idejjen seemed to laugh at this, he wasn't really interested in Victoria, but found Durose's anecdote to be quite funny...

"But I assure you, even if she won't admit it, she loves me for it."

Idejjen: "with those comments she uttered as we left, she obviously feels something for you..."

Zad scanned the various figures on it, deleting them as he dismissed them. Most of them could obviously be dismissed, as they didn't have the proper”¦feel. On the seventh one he stopped; it was a man, but it was unmistakably her. A genuine smile spread over his lips as he looked to the Golden Link Employee pointing her out. The figure was registered under the name Slayde.

”œThat's her. She still here? Where is she?”

Draken grinned. "It was my pleasure Zara, I had a good time even if it was a bit stressful. I tell you what you will have to come to Serenno for a vacation sometime. I promise their wont be any nightsisters to worry about. Or for that matter force users to worry about. Instead at the age fourteen, they are taken and trained as royal guards. It is seen as one of the highest honors possible that one can acheive if you remain on the planet. If you ever come to Serenno, I will give you a full dress review of the royal guard."

Looking out the viewport, Draken smiled as he saw three e kids come running towards Zara. Laughing as they pounced on her, he paused by his quarters and looked inside. He pulled out a small fairly old silver coin from Vjun. He pondered a moment and reached over to the stand beside his bed to the small puning knife bside the vase of red roses. He picked up a smal delicate knife and gently cut a tiny piece off of the red rose that was in the vase.

He had two things now, but he didn't have a third. He thought about it for a moment before smiling. Draken walked to the desk and pulled out a small metal ball that could be twisted into almost any shape with the Force. He had had a lot of fun with one of those balls when he had been a kid and first learning about the force. Pocketing the last item, Draken slowly walked down the landing ramp to meet Zara's children.

"Count Shadowlord, I don't think you have met my children. This is Kalyani, Kane and Mellanie."

Draken squatted down to their level and smiled at them. Their smiles were quite stunning and reminded him alot of Zara's smile. He looked up at Zara and winked as he brushed his hand past Mellanie's ear and acted like he had pulled a rose from behind her ear. "Its magic," Draken said with a small smile to her look of wonder.

Next he opened his hand revealing a small ballin his left hand, Draken levitated it through the air to Kalyani. "The Force can do suprising things to this." Then with a flourish Draken flipped a silver coin into the air and caught it before handing it to Kane. "Keep this coin close, it is quite old and is good luck to the one that has it."

Mellanie's look of wonder remained until she shook her head, her blond hair falling forward. She hesitated only a moment before she spoke in her softly spoken voice, "Thank you Count Shadowlord."

Kane looked the coin over, his golden eyes partially hidden by his blond hair as he looked back up at the Count. "Thank you Sir."

Kalyani watched the ball levitate to her, her hand automatically coming up so it would land on her palm. Dark long hair hung over her shoulders as the grey eyed girl shifted her gaze back to the Count. "Thank you Sir. What sort of things?"

Zara kept an eye on each of her children, noting their reactions to what they had been given. Mellanie had the look of analyzing how he used 'magic' when there was only the Force. Kane had a more serious look to his face. He had shown an interest in how the business was run and had a good aptitude for it. Kalyani was the most puzzled by the gift, trying to work out what she would do with it. How to make it do these surprising things.

"Thank you for the gifts you've given my children, Draken." Making note of the time, she added, "It's almost dinner time. Would you like to join us for dinner?"

Whenever she'd been away from her children for any length of time, she usually treated them on her return. From the sense she had gotten from her children, they knew that they would be going out for dinner at their favorite restaurant.

Ganelon finally straightening himself up and rising to his feet, smooths down his doublet, still chuckling. Perhaps if Victoria wasn't so indignant about his easy release, that would have been one thing, but given the nobleman's prickly nature taking a small delight in her discomfort was not above him. Besides, he realized, if he did like her and think of her as more than a co-worker... though he also knew the odds of a serious relationship were unlikely to last either.

Dismissing it, he finishes up his report, describing the details of his shipyard acquisition, as well as the mysterious offer he received for intel on Kauti. His run about with the Celestial shipyards came into focus following reports of an altercation between the pirate Ronin and Black Sun, to which Ganelon wished the old guard of the organization the best of luck, having worked with them and still never forgiven Ronin for his indignity over Bespin. The report sent to Zara and Brian each, he makes his way back to his quarters and packs up his few belongings, having them put in temporary storage until other arrangements could be found, hopefully before the evening's end.

For old times sake, he finds his pocket flask and drains it one last time, the throws it in the rest. Not enough to get more than a light buzz, he silently toasts to his new efforts at reform.

He heads to the very top of the Casino structure, looking over the giant roulette wheel of a craft and beyond, showing the domed tracks, neon signs, and so forth. A faint smile plays on his lips as he is taken aback by the view. Settling down at a table, he orders a water and checks up on the latest news from Nar Shaada and Tatooine, one green eyebrow shooting up at a rumor of a return of the infamous Whyl the Hutt.

If that was true... I'd say things were looking up...

As he dwells on this, he contemplates sending out a comm to Victoria to apologize for earlier. Still recognizing that 1) she insulted him 2) breathing room might be in order and 3) because of his damned wrist monitor, she could find him any time she wanted, he holds off.

"Thank you, I'll be fine." Rune placed the red button on the table and took up the Corellian Ale, taking a swig. "Ahhh, now that's a good drop." He savored the taste before placing the glass down and picked up his eating utensils. He began to eat, tasting each morsel before moving onto the next. By the time his plate was empty, as was his glass, he was repleted, his hunger gone.

He pushed back from the table, heading over to the counter to pay for his meal. Paying the attendant, he left the restaurant, heading back to his room for the night, his thoughts on what he would do the next day, wondering where he would meet Monica. He didn't have her comm number.

Brina quickly checked. "No, sir. She left the station only a few hours ago after staying here for a week. It says here she took a registered transport ship bound for...Coruscant."

She copied him all the information, then handed him back the datapad. "Her name was given as 'Slayde', but that of course was on the log."

It was business here, as usual, it seemed. "Anything else I can help you with?"

"I am afraid that I must refuse the invitation. My presence is required elsewhere by the chiefest of my order. As such even one such as myself am bound to seek them out." He bowed and turned toward his ship. He paused for a moment then turned to Kalyani."It is a puzzle. Trust the Force, you will figure out what to do with it." He bowed once more and walked onto his ship, closing the landing ramp and powering his ship up again.

A moment late once Zara and her children were clear from the launch area, Draken launched his ship into space. He piloted it to where hyperspace was accessable again, then pulled back the lever and let his ship jump into hyperspace heading to Korriban.

Durose laughed as he and Idejjen entered the security hub.

"Oh... I'm sure she does," he replied with a devious grin.

Milling through the buttons on the keyboard, he pulled up a series of files until he came across something strange.

"Ah ha! See. This file here, here, and here have been deleted. In fact..."

Durose hit a series of more buttons, "There are another nine different files that have been deleted from the database. And all within the last week."

Durose frowned.

"Someone with security access would have had to have done this. There's no other explanation... but... huh... that's funny... this... this looks like my codes. Somehow, someone has my codes. And they not only have my codes, but we able to by-pass the lockouts I had in place."

Motioning for Idejjen, Durose exited the room, "Walk with me. Hmmm..."

Durose thought on the situation for a little bit, "Any ideas?"

***---***

Victoria sulked for a while, packing up her things and arranging for a room. She made sure to get a large plush suite. She figured that she might as well get premium treatment for this sufferage and the bigger the suite, the less she had to be in close proximity with Ganelon. As much as she hated to admit it, though, part of her was actually interested to see how this would turn out. Of course, she would have prefered sharing a room or even spending time with Ganelon under much more favorable circumstances.

Having finished moving all her things into her new location for the week, Victoria had a itch for some spice. Nothing too hard, but at least a little something to put her mind at easy. It was something she had promised herself to give up and never go back to. However, being in a new place with new responsiblities and a lot of stress and then stumbling upon the smuggling ring that moved spice through the casino had altered that promise somewhat. She still refused to go back to the real hard stuff, but she had managed to get herself addicted to the softer spice once again. Of course, she stood firm to the notion that she could still quit if she wanted.

A few hours later, Victoria found herself sprawled out on the bathroom floor. Picking herself up, Victoria composed herself and took a shower in the refresher. Changing into some casual clothes, she was now ready to find Ganelon and inform him of their new residence.

Fortunately for her, he wasn't that hard to find. Walking up to him, Victoria greeted him very formally.

"Enjoying yourself, Mr. Ganelon? The room is ready if you'd like to grab your stuff and move it over."

Zadkiel snatched the datapad from her as if it was the most precious thing every created and simply turned and left without another word. He shoved his way past various people of various species, not even pausing long enough to feel disgust for them as he made his way back to the hanger.

Once inside of his ship, he fired up the engines and plugged in the coordinates for Coruscant-taking off and disappearing from the system as quickly as he had appeared.

Ganelon doesn't respond right away, instead quietly typing in a small command to have his entire set of personal belongings, restricted to a small suitcase, delivered to his room by Casino staff. He would have smirked and asked why do it himself when he can get others to do it for him, but he sensed that would have been unwise.

"Already done," he states, not even looking up at her. He notes the formality in her voice, trying to weigh that in. "I'm hoping your... dismay at Durose's decision earlier doesn't reflect any grudges or ill will towards me?" he quaries. "My apologies about the laughter earlier. I was a bit... giddy from my release. Throw in the hangover and some lingering effects, plus what I saw as indignity that I wasn't having the book thrown at me, and..." he shrugs. "I'd rather this turned out to be an amicable experience for us both," he continues, his voice neutal and almost flat. "If we fight, then I think your boss will have succeeded in punishing the both of us and I'd rather not give him that satisfaction."

... Idejjen sat back and watched as a series of numbers, and files streamed across the computer screen in the security hub, and saw durose speculating...

...Idejjen really had no Idea who could have done this, but if it was someone with security access, that would mean that there would be someone on board this space installation that isn't playing by the rules...

"Any ideas?"

Idejjen: sounds to me like we may have a rat in the space installation... we now have to interview the authority figures on this boat to see who done it... or, we're gonna have to look up sucurity tapes, and try to decifer that..

"You're welcome," Brina muttered after the man. Rolling her eyes, she thanked the receptionist for letting her use the computer, then quickly checked for any updates. She was pleased to discover that Zara had returned.

Pausing, she considered her next course of action. She was sure Durose had the situation on the leak under control, so she decided that the best thing to do was to go check in on her friend and see how her trip was, as well as filling her in on what had been going on.

She headed up to Zara's penthouse, but found it empty. Zara must still be in the hanger. She headed back down, and sure enough, found Zara and the three kids watching a personal ship leave. She always didn't want to feel like an intruder into the family reunion, but had a feeling none of them would really mind.

She smiled and strode into the room. "Welcome back, Zara!"

"Brina!" Zara and the kids turned to face the red headed woman that called out. Taking a step closer, Zara embraced her best friend in welcome. "I've missed all of you. How has everything been while I was away?"

Kalyani was still playing with her new 'toy', working it out. Kane had pocketed his coin, intent on researching it as soon as he had a spare moment and Mellanie was twirling the rose after having asked her Mother if it would grow if she planted it. Zara had suggested they try and see, smiling at her children.

She had genuinely missed Brina during moments when she had a spare moment to think while she was away, thinking her more as a sister than a friend as she always had. To Zara, Brina was as much of her family as her children were.

"I'll tell you about my trip later" she added, her eyes indicating her children and that she didn't want to talk about it while they were present. Her twins were getting to an age when they would want to know everything.

"We're about to go have dinner, would you like to join us?"

Rune started the day with a brisk walk around the large garden under the dome. The sun was just rising over the horizon of the planet, making it a sight to behold. He went to one of the cafe's for breakfast and then made his way to the courtesy desk that Monica had worked at the day before.

"I'd like to know if you could get a message to Monica for me. She was on duty yesterday. Could you let her know that Rune Vale will be at the holoplex if she is interested in seeing a movie with me. Thank you."

He had no other way of contacting her and hoped that the message would get to her.

Brina smiled warmly. "It's very good to see you again, Zara. I'd love to join you guys for dinner."

She tostled Kane's hair. "Things have been pretty good around here. I can fill you in on the details later." She, too, had news that wasn't exactly interesting or relevant to the children's ears.

As the whole group moved out of the hanger, Brina wondered exactly how Zara's trip had gone. When she heard Count Shadowlord had gone with her to Dathomir, she was interested, to say the least. She wondered if there had been something more than intellectual advancement going on between them.

Smiling and shaking the thoughts off until later, she turned to Kalyani. "So, what restaurant do you guys want to go to?"

((OOC: I am sorry if this seems a little wierd, I just wanted to try something- and durose isn't here for some reason... anyway))

***-_-**-_**-_-***

unknown to Rune, as he was walking up, it was Monica's shift.... but, as she saw him walking around the garden, she ducked down and told her friend Lina, who was standing there talking to her, to cover for her; and by covering for her, it meant standing there for rune, while monica hid someplace near the courtesy desk... then rune came up to the counter and asked...

"I'd like to know if you could get a message to Monica for me. She was on duty yesterday. Could you let her know that Rune Vale will be at the holoplex if she is interested in seeing a movie with me. Thank you."

Lina: yes sir... I'd be glad to *she winked to that comment*

As soon as he left... Monica came out of her hiding place...exasperated

Monica: doesn't he know I'm on duty everyday...

Lina: yeah, but your not on duty all day... he might have thought you were asleep or something... you know, since you do work a lot..

Monica: well... *sigh*

Lina: I think he likes you...

Monica: *under her breath* no kidding

Lina: and I think you like him too! go see a movie with him...

Monica: but I have to work!

Lina: no you don't, just as easily as I have taken over for you now, I could take over for your entire work day... what else do I have to do besides lounge around anyway - go have fun!

Monica: I don't know...

Lina: just go! *encouragingly* besides, how hard could it be to work at a courtesy desk...

Monica: *muttering under her breath* really hard

Lina: Monica! *lina said insistently* ... go ... he's a cute guy, and you can trust me to do your job for you, can't you?

Monica: sure, I guess so... but if I get back and you've made a mess of things, I won't let you take over my post ever again... even if it is covering for when a cute guy comes asking for me...

Lina: done, now go... you don't want to keep him waiting

It was on that note that Monica started off in the direction of the holoplex, hoping to find rune before he decided on which movie he was going to wathch...

The twins and Mellanie chorused that they wanted to go to the restaurant that was next to the holopark. They loved the menu there as it had lots of fun names for the foods. The Twin Suns Restaurant always drew a crowd, mostly consisting of the families that vacationed on the Casino station. As they made their way to the elevator, taking it up to the restaurant, Zara smiled over at Brina. She knew that her friend would be curious about what had happened between herself and the Count, could feel it through the Force before they left the zone.

"The Count was called away due to business reasons. He's nice enough... and wants to buy shares in the Casino. I mentioned that we would have to discuss it first. You, me and Kheldar."

She would talk about what else that had happened later when the children had retired. She still wasn't certain how she felt about him. Zara knew he liked her, though she was cautious about it for a number of reasons.

Rune looked at the listing wondering which movie he wanted to see and also wondering if Monica was going to join him or not. The last time they had spoken she had said something about taking the day off and something about a vacation. He had hoped that she wanted to spend some of that day off with him. He would soon have to go back to work on the asteroid and wanted to have a bit more fun before he returned.

He kept looking around to see if Monica was going to join him, hoping that she had gotten his message. Catching a glimpse of her heading his way, Rune smiled. He stepped over to one of the vendors and purchased a bunch of flowers. He held them behind his back as he waved to Monica with his other hand.

"Monica! Over here." As she neared him, he drew out the flowers from behind his back, giving them to her.

"For you fair maiden" He said with a flourish of his hand and a bow.

((OOC:I think I am giving a bit more depth to this NPC so, if what I am doing is wrong please stop me - I am really not sure if this is against the rules or not ... also ... Wheres Durose?))

-***-**__**-***-

What was funny, is that Monica did have some leave due, and was going to take today off, but something had come up, so she just went to work as usual... a very large group tour of the space installation was planned for today... She did say that there were other courtesy desk operatiors when they came to register, but naturally, her officer in charge (her boss) had told her she was the best people person (unnoficially assigning her to every little group willing to call themselves a tour)... she thought she should be flattered, but she only felt a deep sense of obligation.. Its not about whether she liked it or not though, its just; when you live in a galaxy with so many people, theres bound to be a tour every day...

Meanwhile, since she had left Lina, things should turn out ok, because the group had actually never seen Monica in person. Yet, something that did happen, that she hoped would not catch Lina, is how the officer above Monica would randomly join her groups to make sure everything was going smoothly...

as Monica ran to the holoplex, she tried to clear her anxieties from her mind so she could enjoy herself. Then, something else popped into her head... what if Rune had already chosen his movie and was inside the holoplex? ... she had hoped that wasn't true, and was relieved to find him waving at her from across the way...

"Monica! Over here."

she ran up to him, panting...

he drew out the flowers from behind his back, giving them to her.

Monica: "th-these for me?.. th-th-thank you"

"For you fair maiden" He said with a flourish of his hand and a bow.

by now, Monica had calmed down enough to make a somewhat dignified response...

Monica: "W-what manners, eh-even the other day during the tour; (then she realized she was still somewhat stammering so she tried more deep breaths to stop her panting) such a thing is rarely seen anymore in this galaxy; manners, that is.. have you chosen a movie yet?"

((OOC: There is no problem with it at all, Idejjen. Do what you want. And Durose does this. Sometimes he won't post for a month and a half, then he'll post multiple times a day for three weeks.))

IC:

Brina shrugged at the mention of Draken buying shares. She supposed it depended on how many shares he wanted to buy...

The whole group arrived at Twin Suns, and despite the crowd, didn't have to wait long to get a table. Brina glanced over the menu with amusement. She had never been here before.

Tatooine Traladon

Montu Codru Macaroni and Cheese

Corellia Corn Dog

Sullust Slurpie

Yavin's Yummy Yogurt

Hairy Wookiee Hamburger

Brina raised her eyebrows at the last one. Somehow some of the names didn't make the food sound that appealing. She smiled at Zara across the table and turned to Kane, who was sitting next to her.

"What are you going to order?"

"The Corellia Corn Dog!" he replied enthusiastically. "And Mom, can I have the Selvaris Sundae for dessert? Aunt Brina, what are you going to get?"

She paused, considering. "I think I'll get the Tatooine Traladon," she said with a flourish that made Kalyani laugh.

((That's fine Idejjen. Durose's work sometimes gets so busy he can't post for a while. He'll be back when he gets the time to post. ))

Zara's eyes sparkled with amusement at her children's enthusiasm with regards to the menu. They always loved to come here. Catching Brina's expression she felt she had to add, "They love it here. The names might not sound like much but the food tastes alot better than it sounds."

As the droid waiter approached their table, Zara turned to Mellanie and Kalyani, "What are you going to have today?" To the waiter she added to Brina's order, "I'll have the Tatooine Traladon as well, Kane will have the Corellia Corn Dog and I think we could all have the Selvaris Sundae for dessert. Girls?"

Kalyani's grey eyes lit up, "Mum, Could I have the Tatooine Traladon please?" Zara nodded at her eldest daughter, the waiter taking it down.

Eyes then turned to Mellanie who was looking at the picture menu. Her finger kept going between two of the meals. "Mummy... I know which one I want. The Montu Codru Macaroni and Cheese!" She pronounced each word carefully until she got to the word Cheese, that one she knew and said enthusiastically.

Zara rested her hand on her youngest daughter's arm, the look she gave Brina was that she knew that Mellanie would settle on that one... she always did. It was her favourite. The droid left the table to get their meals, the children looking around to see if they knew anyone else in the cafe.

After ordering, the kids readily began to color on their menus, while Brina asked Zara how the trip went. She felt like she was repeating herself, but she didn't have a good idea.

"So you went to Dathomir? Did you get to spend time with your family? How was the actual trip?"

It was more idle conversation, but it was relaxing. The kids chatted amongst themselves, occasionally asking advice on color from the two adult women, but mostly playing with each other.

Soon their food came, and everyone delved hungrily in. Brina's traladon was actually delicious--much more than her salad with Durose had been, she thought with wry amusement--and everyone seemed to be enjoying it.

Zara looked up from her plate, finishing a mouthful of the delicious traladon before answering. "Yes we went to Dathomir. I had time to catch up with my Aunt and to get a new tutor for the children. Kara stayed back and Lena came along with us this time. There was a lot happening at the village. More trouble with the Nightsisters, though I will tell you about that later on." Her eyes indicated a very interested Kalyani who was pretending to concentrate on her drawing.

"The trip there was alright. Poor Kara, she was interested in the Count though he wasn't in her." A slight blush rose to tint her cheeks. "I'm not sure about Draken. He's nice and all... but... I just don't know. I guess I don't want to get hurt again. He was very protective while we were on Dathomir."

The conversation was kept light through the meal, the children all very excited when they got their Selvaris Sunday's. After they had finished the meal, Zara fixed up the bill and the adults escorted the children back to the Nargal apartment.

Zara introduced the children and Brina to Lena, the new Tutor/babysitter and watched as the young warrior women led the children to their bedrooms. Making cafa for the two of them, Zara motioned for Brina to join her in the lounge area.

"It was just as well I left the children here instead of taking them with me to Dathomir. The Nightsisters have been ambushing those of our clan and capturing loved ones, converting them to their 'side' again. They set an ambush for us, though between both my actions and Draken's we dealt with them. From the one we took prisoner we found out that they were after me. Possibly because of how successful I am here and that I have easy access off the planet. They had forced one of our clan to turn, having kidnapped her husband and child. We rescued them from the Nightsister's camp and then left soon after that. Draken had wanted to see how the Nightsisters used their dark magic."

((Have a good time camping. Have fun! ))
