  1. A smirk came across Ish's face as he master began to speak. He had compassion for Mathis, but he had kept to himself in the short time they'd been together. Now maybe Ish would have a little more insite to help his training along. He took a seat in front of his as the ship rattled through space. His face was a mask of calmness.
  2. Ish's jedi starfighter made its way through hyperspace on small intricate jumps. No homing devices found Ish loomed in the upper atmosphere of Coruscant. First place he would look for his master....The Last Call.
  3. Ish awoke in what he knew to be the rejuvination center aboard-- from the looked of the architecture--The Eternal Vigliance. The low hum of the halogen lights roused him as they flicked on to brighten the room. Already knowing what he must do Ish climbed out of the tube. Bones and joints cracking as he'd never used them before. A fresh pair of brown Jedi robes, and white tunic lay near the tube. A small blaster and utility belt also accompanied these. Doning his coverings Ish hastily went to the nearly deserted mess hall. Eating felt the same. He picked through his food and examined his motor skills which seemed to be the same. When finished he made his way to the hangar and boarded one of the many small Jedi starfighters. He looked over his control panel. His hands quickly danced over the council as he ignited the thrusters. Soon he was in the upper atmosphere of Manaan. He was in search of his master Mathis who surely would have been cloned by now.

Ish's lifeless body fell. His blade deactivated as the body hit the floor with a thud. He had met his end. Ish met his end while on the path of a jedi. His spirit would endure and nothing could destroy it. The cave still lit by his adversaries blade seemed to groan as Ish's force signature went out with a blink. His only hope was the stored DNA in the Jedi temple. Cloning would bring him back to finish his path in life. Fade to black. ((OOC: Good fight! ))

As sabers clashed and emotions ran high, Xentar put forth a choice. Through his maniacle mouth came "You know you will fail. I can let you live, however. If you turn to the Dark Side of the Force, I will complete your training, rather than trying to kill you." The voice sadistic in town with his eyes glaring at Ish made the young apprentices emotions a jumble of confusion. Why turn to the dark side? Because it is easier. You get more chicks. No it is a means to a quick end. Ish's subconsciousness wrestled with itself as he deflected the wealth of attacks brought on by Xentar. His mind focusing on the Siths ultimatum, while the force almost fully guided his actions. Without hesitation it suddenly became clear to Ish what he was to do. He force leaped backwards putting a sizeable distance between he and Xentar. Turning off his saber he cleared his mind and let the force take control. His only words were "I am a Jedi." With that said he mustered all his energy and made a final dash at Xentar, not in rage, but for salvation. For ever questioning himself or his beliefs. He would die a jedi apprentice, defeat his opponent, or on an off chance survive by destiny to become a true Jedi. Xentars blade beckoned Ish's as he leapt forward with a yell that seemed to shake the cave.

Ish cried out through his gritted teeth as he leaned back agains the wall. The cut was not mortal but it burned as nothing had ever before. His saber still ignited his lightly rubbed his hand over the wound to feel it. Again his face cringing from the pain of the slightest touch. The Sith lay in wait not ten feet from him. Ish acted a bit more injured than he was. Suddenly he propelled himself off the wall with his feet using the force to let his jump go further than it would. The white blade collided with Xentars to the sound of crackling. The blades held against eachother as each combatant strained. Ish moved his right hand from the saber as the left began to give at the power of the Sith pushing. Face to face he starred down the man across from him. Ish's eyes none-the-less showed a vacant calm to them. While eyes were locked he moved motioned with his hand to take the Siths feet out from under him. To no avail, the Sith on lost a bit of balance and staggered back a few paces. Ish came at the Sith with a barrage of strikes. His saber twirling gracefully. Xentar parried the attacks with the grace that they were attempted. From a bystanders position it must have looked as if the two combatants were but streaks of light. Light from the sabers danced of the wall making shadows the portrayed a fight with the light all to themselves. Ish was beginning to get a bit winded though. As he slowly moved Xentar backwards with his strikes he kept his eye fixed on his opponent. The ground littered with stones and rocks of all sides was becoming a bit troublesome for the Sith as the marred his path. Small trips and unbalanced steps plaiged his path backwords. Ish, eyes never deviating from his opponent stepped over every rock. He knew the surroundings, and was very glad that he had meditated before. Each step was a confident strike towards the opponent. He knew he would not be able to hold out much longer though.

OOC: Been waiting for you to post for a while IC: The duel quickly heated up. Ish somewhat of a well accomplished swordsman before he began his training needed all his skills against his opponent. Indeed it was a Sith. Faster and faster he was forced to parry the onslaught of attacks. Still sweating from before Ish threw himself into the force for assitance. He was already mentally anguished and tired. The force aided him though. Knowing that he would not last long against his opponent at this rate he used the force to do a high backflip. Feet hitting the low point of the cave roof Ish sprinted quickly for a short time on the cave roof with his momentum from the backflip. To a person standing near he was blur. Still using his momentum he flipped back to the floor landing in a crouching position. The cave again was dark. The sith must have turned off his saber. Suddenly Ish noticed his saber was crystal white. A beacon in the darkness of the cave, the light shown on Ish's face as if it were clinging to it and nothing else. He could vaguely sense the evil coursing through the veins of his opponent. He knew not when the next attack would come, but he rose into a standing position turning off his saber and hanging his arm by his side. He would not be tempted to go find and attack his opponent. He would only use defense as his weapon. He could still feel the cave. He knew his surroundings and that was his advantage. An ever present feeling of inevitability hung about the cave. Ish knew not where Scorp was but figured he had himself well in hand. Ish's index finger rubbed over the sabers ignite button. Relax Ish, you will be fine. The force has set your destiny, and you shall follow. He began to walk slowly toward where he had been engaged first. A few pebbles trickled off the side of the wall though he could not see them in the dark. He only heard them breaking the song of the pristeen stream. Without warning the hum of a lightsaber could be heard.

Ish's fledgling force sense is pricked by a sudden strike of pain. He did not even need to discern what it was. Mathis was in pain. He could feel his master more than ever. The force exumed from him was not of a simple Jedi Knight, but more. A thousand screaming voices sounded in Ish's head. He could not hold it in. What if his master died? He was sacrificing himself for the sake of Ish and his fellow apprentice Scorp. The ultimate sacrifice. Nothing would hold the thoughts in Ish's head. Coming to a crouching position Ish lets his head drop only to be craddled in his hands. He was to be jedi, but he could not control his emotions fully yet. The thought that he was not strong enough to do so jabbed at his inner psychy more. Raising his head up briskly from his hands he let out a yell. "NOOOO." Surely what or whomever was in the cave with them would know his exact position. He focused himself as best he could once more, this time panting as sweat was beginning to race down his head. Ish did not know whom he was asking, Mathis, the force, or himself when he questioned if his master would be okay.

Ish was not sure about Scorps plan as he was ussured further into the caves to hide from what certainly was impending danger. Why should we run from this fight when maybe we together would be able to stand against whatever it looming out there. It seemed cowardly, and a denial of someones fate to run and hide when they would be able to stand head on against something. After all the two apprentices didn't even know what they were up against. Ish's mind wandered through the possibilities. His racing mind stopped at the site of a red lightsaber...The blade only. He could not be sure what this meant but he knew it had to almost certainly some sort of Sith. Was it the force revealing to him this vission. Over and over in his mind the red saber glowed..... He could not escape the thought of it anymore. It must be his destiny, and he was not one to deny his own. Making his mind up his face became etched with determination. He pushed himself up from the rock he was crouched behind and walked out from behind as Scorps eyes became twinkling stars starring at him in shock of choice to reveal himself. Ish could see no one as the gave had grown dark. He still knew his surroundings, every pebble, every outcroping, every crystal. Finding his way back to his original spot of meditation he sat down crosslegged and placed his lightsaber between his legs. The sound of the stream was all that could be heard everything else was shrouded in a cloak of silence. The force took over from there as it entranced him. He could feel something up ahead that was strong in the force, but it did not waver. It was driven by something. Hatred, yes hatred.

Ish could sense something was wrong towards the entrance of the Cave. Mathis must have known of this imoending situation. Ish rose from the cave floor and walked leasurely over to the nearby stream to refresh himself with a small amount of water splashed on his hands and face. Mentally the force had refreshed him. He hadn't meditated in quite some time and he truely felt alive again now that he'd undulged his need. His fellow apprentice was also now hard at work meditating. Ish walked over to Scorp wary of disturbing him. However it was imparitive in case any danger ly beyond the caves entrance. Ish hunkered down a few feet behind Scorp. A gentle whisper was all he needed to alert Scorp. "I can kind of sense a disturbance. Be ready for anything." Ish rose up and began to back away. "I will be meditating directly behind you. Learn of our surroundings, it may help." Retracing his steps Ish crossed back over the small stream and regained his seating on the cave floor. Once again he concentrated on meditating. All the while he attempted to keep himself aware through the force to the addition of any more presences within the cave other than his and Scorps. Now Ish could have thrown a stone with blind eyes and hit any spot in the cave. Alone he seemed to be making small leaps and bounds in his consciousness of the force. He sat vigilant as an apprentice could be to his surroundings while calming himself with the power coursing through his every being.

OOC: Yeeesh Xentar, after 8 and 6 months of Scorp and I waiting to be trained you have to hunt us down. Can't ya give us a break?! IC:Ish felt the grief within Scorp as he cried out. Someone or something close to him must have died. Dispair such as Scorps could truely only come from something as serious as death. A few enraged cries that were uncharacteristic of Jedi were yelped out by Scorp as he staggered around the cave near Ish. As Scorp sat down Ish rose swiftly without using his hands. Steady might propelled him up with grace to a standing position. Walking over towards Scorp as he assumed a sitting posture Ish said nothing. The sadness eminating from Scorp was a dangerous play for a Jedi. No words Ish could say would probably be able to consol Scorp of whatever he had lost. All Ish could think to do was to comfort Scorp silently and let him meditate. Placing his hand on Scorps shoulder he grasped it firmly and kept it there. He would be there for his fellow apprentice whos inner turmoil radiated strongly from him. Ish remained standing and positioned himself directly behind Scorp. Letting out a sigh he patted Scorps left shoulder with his hand while the other remained clasped to his fellow padawans shoulder.

Ish meditated silently, the billowing of the small stream entering his consciousness every now and then, but only an aide instead of a distraction. He could feel Scorps force signature as it fluxuated to and from what appeared to be an apprehensive nervous state. The cave gave off a small glow from the entrance as the snow reflected what light there was outside. No more could he sense his masters presence which disturbed him slightly. He had no doubt or fear, he hoped his master would return soon however and in good condition.

Ish sat silently looking at Scorp as thoughts lingered in his mind. There was nothing he could do as their master left the cave. He did not wish for Mathis--whom he'd known for only weeks to get hurt. Without a sound, he bid Mathis the best in his thoughts, and hoping he'd return shortly. The urge tugged at him to go out and help the Jedi, but he was going to do as ordered. Making his mind devoid of thoughts that heralded possibility of eminating the force. He wished to engage whomever was outside of the caves. A lingering thought however still raced through his head that the individual outside may be a Sith. Ish knew it was his time and place as an apprentice to wait until his masters return. Even with fledgling force abilities, he could feel more jedi presences than just his master. Giving a quick glance to Scorp on the other side of the cave, he fell into a calm trance, legs crossed, hands resting on knees, and head hung low. There would be no stopping him from being a Jedi Knight and serving the force.

As they entered the cave, Ish heard the faint sound of running water. A bit further into the dwelling Mathis lead them to a small stream. Quite glad to get of his feet momentarily Ish knelt down and cupped his hands together and began to drink from the water. He did not give thought to the fact that it might not have been healthy, but it sure tasted fine to him. Feeling a bit more refreshed he stood up and stretched his arms out. He looked to his master for his next instruction.

Ish glances over at Scorp as the two apprentices follow their master out into the cold. Ish rubs his arms to try and remain warm. The clear day gave no sign of the true harshness of the planet. It was cold, but at least a dry cold. Ish takes a look back at the ship as the hatch shuts. Drawn back towards Mathis and Scorp he makes sure he is still in stride with them. Ish glances around the area for any sign of another life form. He is however unable to find any, or--with his fledgling force abilities--sense anyone.

Ish walked a bit past Mathis to the edge of the ramp as Scorp was now heading further away from the ship in his own wanderings. Mathis's words and actions had unnerved Ish a bit, but he trusted he would be in good hands with his master. He glanced down and attached the lightsaber to his belt. He glanced back at his master who seemed to be standing vigilant near the top of the ramp. Ish could feel a calm coming over himself, almost as if it was eminating off his master.

Ish exited the ship following his new master. The cold snapped at every part of his body. Pulling his flowing dark blue cloak tighter he stands on the landing ramp surveying the expanse of the white planet. He looks to his master with obedience as he ponders what they are to do next.
  18. ((OOC Good to see you back. I recently reformated and haven't installed word, but I'll be wary of the sp)) IC Ish broke eye contact with the jedi to glance down at the lightsaber on his belt. He slowly pulled it off his belt and turned it partially in his hand examining it. "I was given this by another Jedi on Hoth as a safety precaution, as were most of the hopefuls to my knowledge." Ish paused gathering his thoughts. He felt more that he should work for something as sacred as a lightsaber, and he did not deserve this one by any means as it was just given to him like some cheap clumsy blaster. "I did not earn it as I have the feeling a lightsaber should be. I have never ignited it," Ish said vaguely holding it up in front of his face examining the weapon closer. "I know something such as this is important, but it's important to Jedi and their apprentices, which I was niether of when it was issued." Ish clipped it back on his belt and leaned forward putting his elbows on his knees and drapping his hands between his legs. He glanced back up at Mathis with a small smile on his face. This man seemed to be understanding, and was quietly polite, yet the force radiated from him strongly.
  19. Ish glanced over at Scorp, who seemed momentarily preoccupied and decided to tell a bit about himself initially. Ish leaned forward resting his elbows on his knees. He locked eyes with the jedi knight and began to speak. Ackwardly he began, as most people as he did have a hard time speaking about themselves, save for arrogant ones. "I'm from Dantooine and my family were farmers initially who then developed greenhouses. I became well versed the plants of my planet, and at a young age helped developed a new form of botany with my father that allowed us to cross breed certain species of floras and faunas. "A rebel base was established on our planet and I kind of befriended a couple of the soldiers stationed there. They told me of the Jedi order to which I became enthralled." Ish leaned back in his chair, a smile gracing his face. Mathis smiled back as he continued. "The rebels left in a hurry and were helped by a few jedi whom I have not been able to locate since. One of the jedi apparently sensed that I was versed in the force to a certain extent." Ish paused a moment to gather his thoughts. "This jedi contacted my parents, and when I was of proper age both my parents and I decided I should set off to find the academy which I eventually did on Hoth." Mathis let out a low hum of agreement. Ish thought he might have spoken too long, but he figure he might finish his story. A grim look overcoming his face, Ish straightened up. His thoughts dwelled on the battle at Hoth."I was trained with a bunch of other hopefuls in a few basics force techniques like running and jumping. Before the jedi training I was relatively well learned in small hand to hand combat with swords back on Dantooine." Ish stopped and looked down to the lightsaber hanging from his belt. He had never actually ignited it, and did not intend to. The first one he was to ever ignite he hoped would be one he made. "Needless to say I survived the battle very much unscathed, and even met a few friends in the process. Since that battle, I went to Manaan, and have been steadily keeping up a training regimine. I was told to report to the Dojo and that is where I was summoned by yourself. I wish to be well versed as a jedi scientist as I have an interest with developing lightsabers, and possible herbal medicines." Ish got a guilty look as he felt a bit selfish for saying so much. "I hope I didn't come off conceded," he said with a laugh.
  20. Mathis's ship entered space and headed for destination unknown to Ish. Curious to find out he approached Mathis sitting in the pilots seat on the small bridge. Ish leaned against the side of the hatch resting his shoulder. "Yes Ish?" spoke Mathis. Ish was surprised eventhough he should've known Mathis could sense him. "I appologize for the intrusion master, but I was curious as to where we're heading?" Ish bit his lip, as he waited for his masters reply. He hoped he was not seeming a bit too impatient.
  21. Ish noticed another hopeful running up. He was recognizable to Ish, and then it dawned on him. The two had spoken to eachother for a short time on Hoth before and during the battle. Ish had come quite a way since then, and hoped that Scorp had as well. When the hopeful came up next to Ish, Ish extended his hand towards Scorp. They shook, and continued to wait patiently on the deck surrounding the rock garden as Mathis meditated. Surely however Mathis would be able to feel the presence of Scorp. Finally, we'll be off in no time flat he said to himself. It was customary from what Ish could see that almost all hopefuls who acquired a master were taken away from the Jedi base. But where are we going? he pondered.
  22. Ish rest his elbows on the railing and in turn his head in his hands observing Mathis Qui Gon patiently. Glancing up with his eyes only he marveled at the crisp blue sky which there was not a cloud in. It reminded him of his home on Dantooine.
  23. Ish assumed something unexpected was going to happen to him at first contact with this Jedi, but none the less he was startled when Mathis spoke to him through the force. It was a strange sensation, something like a whisper, but yet it was quite discernable what Mathis was saying to him. He could understand it perfectly fine. Ish assumed he would need to get used to this, and learn in turn how to do it. Focusing his thoughts on Mathis request, he assumed that if he could surround himself with the force and let it flow through him, that somehow he might be able to broadcast his reply back to Mathis question. He stayed motionless accept for his eyes closing. Stiffening a bit he replied, "yes, I am willing and ready to do what is need." He was not certain if he should have called Mathis his master yet. It seemed however that Mathis was waiting for something else as well. Ish decided to stay silent and let Mathis speak to him through a force message if he had anything else he needed to say or request of Ish.
  24. Ish watches as Darex is bested...for the moment. He felt a strange nagging as if being called. Similar to when he was beckoned to The Last Call by Jaina. He wondered where she had been, and hoped she was seeing better days than she seemed to before. "I appologize both of you, but I feel I have a few orders of business to attend to at the moment. Excuse me." With that Ish gave his bamboo stick a small throw towards the rack and used the force as best he could to steady it in its resting position. He did not mean to show off, it was just somewhat a practical use of the force. After exiting dojo it seemed as if each step he made through the facility was at random, yet with a purpose and final destination in mind. Before he knew it he had come up upon a large open area surronded by an open air corridor on all four sides. This long rectangular open area had an unusual aura of calm about it. Small white pebbles covered the whole of the ground with lined patterns protruding through them. In the middle of the area were three sets of rocks all of differing heights set in triangular formations. On top of the main rock in the central grouping stood the figure whos presence he had felt while moving towards the mess hall earlier. The figure sat motionless eminating a very strong presence within the force. Ish even with his meager powers could still sense him. He did not feel it his place to bother the Jedi's concentration. He took up a position in the front corridor across from the Jedi's line of site (though his eyes were closed at the moment). Ish leaned on his hands and took in the beautiful surroundings and serene atmosphere. Patiently he waited to see if the Jedi would exit the meditative state he had been in.
  25. Ish grabs his pole and momentarily stands in his position fixed twirling his stick on one side of his body watching Darex lunge and Armiena. With a look of mischeive Ish slightly crouches putting his weight on the balls of his feet and then with a sudden jolt he hurls himself over to the hindeside of Darex. As he lands pulls his stick back to his side and jabs towards Darex's back. Ishs pole is met with a quick parrying strike from Darex as he still is facing Armiena. Ish again does a flurry of quick swipes towards his friend while he is still ingaged with Armiena. Each swipe is met quickly with a small parry as Darex's pole instantly engages Armienas again.
