Mara N. Jade

Mara smiled, knowing that she could trust Leo to the ends of the universe. She moved to the edge of the cliff, and looked over. Even looking over the edge of the cliff made her dizzy. She turned her back to the clif and let herself fall. She reached out with the force to try and slow her decent. She could feel the force all around her, but she did not yet have the skills to pull the force around her to slow herself down. She reached out to Leo, knowing that he could help her.

"I will do my best to get myself down, but will you help me if I can't do it on my own?"

Mara screamed as she watched Leo fall over the edge of the clif. She ran over and saw him making his way gently into the water below and realized that he was using the force to lower himself down. "Just how exactly do you expect me to get down there? I can't walk that far, and I can't levitate myself down, I don't have that much power, and besides, I'm afraid of heights." While she said this, she covered her eyes and backed slowly away from the clifs edge. After she realized that Leo was alright, looking over the cliff made her feel dizzy, and she was terrified that she was going to fall.

Mara followed Leo out to the speeder again. "If they don't eat hutts, that means they will eat you mister thin as a pencil, and see if I help you when he's draging you down to his lair!"

"A swim in the lake sounds good. I've never been swimming in a lake. They don't have any dangerous animals in their lakes do they?"

Mara returned Leo's hug. "I know you can make the right decisions. If you ever have any doubts, I will be here for you."

Mara awoke with a jolt to the sound of Leo screaming beside her. He was hollering, and was covered in sweat. Mara put her hand on his shoulder to let him know that she was there for him. He jumped and turned to look at her. She saw the fear in his eyes. "What is it my love?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around him protectivly.

"I would love to, but what happens if we get caught? I mean, it's not exactly the jedi thing to do is it?"

After Leo parked the speeder Mara climbed out and went to find out if they could take a tour of the palace. "Leo, where am I suppossed to go to ask about a tour?"

Mara watched the scenery flash by as they sped on their way to the capital city. Leo was right, the city really was beautiful. "I would love to take another swim later, so long as you don't try to turn me into a human popsicle again."

It took Mara a second to get Leo's joke, and by the time what he had said registered in her mind, he was already out in the speeder, waiting for her. She grabbed their jackets, not knowing where they were going, and headed out to the speeder. "You goof, you forgot your jacket, and it's getting cold out." Mara said climbing into the speeder next to Leo, and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek to let him know that he was forgiven for his joke. "Where are we going anyway?"

Mara laughed as Leo twirled her around the room. He was truly happy. Happier than she had seen him in a long time. "What else is there to do on this planet anyway? We are going to need something to do over the next couple days. It would be fun to sit here and talk, but I need to get up and out and get some exercise. I don't need to gain any more weight, seeing as it won't be long before I'm the size of a Hutt."

Mara sat down on the bed thinking. She reached under the bed, looking for the key that Leo had tossed under there. Luckily it was not very far under, and she was able to reach it. She walked over to the trunk in which he had locked the saber. She unlocked the box, and pulled out the lightsaber. She could feel the force flowing through it, and she knew it was full of Leo's presence. She walked back over to Leo and placed the saber in his hands. "Use this until the children are born, like you suggested, and until then, consider your options. Think about if you really have to not use the saber."

"Leo, think about that a second. If you don't use it again, how will you defend our children, if there is ever a need for it? I certianly will not be able to do much with a lightsaber, seeing as I have no training with one as of yet. If you use it only for defence, then nothing bad will come of it. If we teach our children about the dangers of lightsabers from a very early age, then I am sure that nothing will happen."

Mara looked up at Leo, and was startled to see tears in his eyes. "Don't worry my love, it wasn't really even that bad, and nothing happened." Mara went up on tiptoe, and kissed Leo. She started shivering slightly, from the combination of the cold water and the breeze blowing around them.

Mara got out of the pool as quickly as she could, and walked over to Leo's side. "What exactly are you doing? We can't very well swim when it's frozen."Mara said somewhat amused at the look on the faces of the people passing by. They were watching a pool freeze in way above freezing weather, with no indications as to why. Of course that was because they didn't know that Leo and Mara were jedi.

Mara relaxed as the water swirled around her. "That is really great, but could you put me down soon, I would like to actually swim before it gets to dark and cold."

Mara slid into her swimsuit, and realized with a shock how much she was showing, despite being only a few months pregnant. She got to the pool just in time to see Leo back flip into the pool. Sitting down on the edge, and letting her feet float in the water, she watched him surface again. "Show off!"

"I'm not exactly sure, I wonder if there is a pool anywhere near, a nice relaxing swim sounds nice right now."

"How about that blue one there in the middle, it looks really nice."

Mara woke up alone. She climbed out of bed, and went looking for Leo. She found him in the garage area ingrosed in his own project. "What are you doing?"

Mara walks back to the bed with Leo. She falls asleep in the comfort of his arms, knowing that no dreams will plague her sleep this time. In a galaxy full of danger and uncertanty, this was the one place she felt completly safe, in the arms of her love.

Mara visualized the words I love you written on a piece of paper. She then thought as hard as she could about sending that "paper" to Leo.

"I think I would like for you to train me a little. I don't think you would teach me something evil, and if you do, then I just will ignor it or whatever."

Mara looked at Leo, and attempted a smile. "I think I might have caught onto your visions. I was sitting in an unfirmiliar room, watching you playing with the twins, who are both boys by the way, and I felt an incredible evil. You and I started leading the boys into a different room with a back door, and the door came crashing in. I looked back, and there was a man standing there, only he had no face. He was holding a lit lightsaber, and started coming our way. That was when I woke up."
