Mara N. Jade

Mara watche Leo lift himself into the air as she slowly drifted off to sleep. She was sitting in a strange room, watching three people chasing each other around the chair she sat in. There were two young boys, about 3 or 4, and an adult. She realized with a jolt that the adult was Leo. That must mean that the boys were the twins. They were laughing and shouting, they looked so happy. She had not seen that type of look on Leo's face before, he was absoultely exctatic. Then the danger sense in the back of her mind went off. Something or someone was coming. Something purly evil. She and Leo started rounding up the boys to go hide in a back room. They had just made it into the room when the dore broke in. She turned around, and what she saw was beyond all belief. It was a man, but he was faceless, and was carrying a lit lightsaber. He started moving toward them, and... She woke up screaming, covered in a cold sweat.

"That is actualy what I was thinking too. I know that you don't just love me because of the money. I can read it in your eyes." Mara laid her head on Leo's shoulder and closed her eyes. "What time is it, I'm tired."

Mara sat down on the couch next to Leo. "That person I was with when you left was Xax, a childhood friend. I still don't know very much about my past, because we had to pick up his ship, and then not to long after that, you found us, and he left, but he did tell me a little bit. He told me that my parents were semi-rich diplomats, as were his. The reason that he did not know very much about me was that after about a year I misteriously disapeared. My parents did leave some money in his care to give to me if he ever found me. Other than that, he was not really able to tell me much."

Mara too feels another mind touching her own. She can not tell who it is or what they are doing, she does not have enough training for anything like that yet. In time she hoped to be able to refine her skills to be able to touch people other than Leo. She smiles back at him, and replies, "I love you too."

Mara looked into Leo's eyes and smiled. Even if I do have knowlege, I can't very well use it very well, if I have no power. Maybe if we combine our skills, we can protect our children better than either of us would be able to alone. If we are to do this though, we have to be together much of the time in their early years.

Mara returned Leo's hug, and said to him, "I am not as powerful as you, but I as well will do everything in my power to protect our children." "When are we going to have the wedding? I mean it should be fairly soon."

Mara took comfort in Leo's assurance that everything would be alright. She watched him work, creating a lightsaber different from any she had seen before. She can feel that he is letting the force flow through him, and conrtrol the creation of his lightsaber. She thought wistfully that she would like to have that much control over the force, or she would be able to let it have that much control over her, but she doubted that she would ever be anywhere close to that powerful.

Mara looked at Leo in shock. He had been told to embrace death by The Prophet Sly himself? And had been granted the wings tattooed wings on his back by him too? What did all of this mean? Her life was getting more confusing by the minuet.

Mara took a moment to absorb what Leo had just told her. . . twins. When he came back into the room, she walked over and sat beside him, watching him reconstruct his lightsaber. "What happened to you after you left here?"

Mara had been thinking about what the droid had said, when she heard the door to her room open. She looked up to see who it was. She did not recognize who it was until he knelt down beside her. It was Leo. Then she herd the words that she had been waiting to here ever sence the had gotten to the station, "Will you marry me?" She did not even have to think about it, her answer was automatic "YES!"

Mara listened in shock to what Leo told her. First about the fact that he was dead. Her one true love was dead! She knew that he would come back, but the thought still made her very sad. She hoped he had not died a painful death, though knowing the person with whom he had left, he had probably suffered greatly. She then thought about the second part of the message. The part about the child. That was the part that had really shocked her. She was only 20, and her and Leo were not even married yet! Would he truly stay with her? What would she do about her training that she had not even started yet? She laid down on her bed and started thinking about Leo, before long the tears came.

Mara awoke to an empty room. As soon as she was awake enough to realise that Roiju was not in the room, she recieved his message. It made her sad to think that he was gone again for an unknown amount of time. She had no idea how long it would be before she would see her love again. She hoped that he would return soon. She would mis him terribly. The one thought that was of some comefort to her was that she would begin training under her master again. At least there was one firmiliar face in the building. If it were not for that she thought she would probably stay in their room the entire time Roiju was gone. She sent a force message out to him hoping that it would reach him before he left her force range. I love you, and always will, hurry back to me my love.

A few hours later, Mara woke up again, and looked over at Roiju, still asleep by her side. She knew that she would probably never fully understand his reasons for turning, but she also knew that she would never leave him, no matter what. She decided to try and touch his mind again, to see if she could find any good in him. She reached out with her rudementary force skills and touched his mind again...

Mara listened to what Roiju was telling her, then said quietly, "If you are going to war, I am going with you. No matter where you go, I don't want to leave your side again." She then laid down on the bed next to him, and fell back into a light sleep almost instantly.

Mara rushed over to Roiju when he fell. She helped him to stand up, and with his arm over her shoulder, they walked into the bedroom. She helped him to lay down on the bed, and sat down next to him. "I'm glad that you would rather take them prisoner than kill them, but why do you have to do it at all, are you planning on going into war?"

Mara quickly left the room to get herself a glass of water. When she returned, Roiju had cleaned up the mess from the droid. She sat down to watch him work. "Why exactly do you want to take people prisoner?" she asked, wondering if this was just some wierd faze he was going through, or something much bigger.

A few hours later, Mara woke up. She heard the noises of more than one person in the living room. She got up quickly, and walked out to find Roiju. When she stepped around the corner, she was suprised to find him and another man. She noticed that the other man was moving in a very jerky sort of fashon, and laughed to herself when she realized it was a 'droid. She walked over to Roiju. "What are you doing?"

Mara sat with Roiju until his hand was almost all of the way healed. By then it was early morning and she figured, with the healing now about 1/2 hour from complete, he could finish by himself. "I'm going to go try to get at least a little sleep before I have to start training. I love you." With a soft kiss on his lips, she left the room and went back to bed, she was so tired that she fell asleep almost emediatly.

Mara woke up slightly. She was still to tired to open her eyes. She can feel the turmoil between the light and dark in Roiju's mind. She felt him fight to control the different powers within himself. She felt a sharp jolt of pain through his sences. She woke up fully, jumped out of bed, pulled on a robe and rushed out into teh livingroom. She saw Roiju kneeling on the floor, cluthing his hand. She ran over to him and saw that his hand was covered with 3rd degree burns. She gently took his hand in hers. She had always had kind of a knack for healing. She made herself comefortable on the floor next to him, prepaired to sit with him until his hand was fully healed, and help him heal it, knowing that it would heal faster with her help.

Mara nodded and headed in to the bedroom. After changing she lay down on the bed, but could not sleep. She kept thinking about Leo, or whatever his name was now. He was completly different now, even the look in his eyes was different. Mara streached out with her limited force abilities, and touched his presence. She pulled back emediatly, for all she felt was the icy cold of evil, and it scared her. What exactly had happened to him? Who had trained him? Why had they erased his memory? She lay there thinking these things over, not able to fall asleep.

Mara smiled and leaned into the protecton of Leo's chest. No matter what was happening elsewhere she always felt safe in his arms. Just as she started to get comefortable the clock struck. It was 11:00. "We should probably get to bed if I am going to start training tomorrow."

Mara looked at Leo. He had changed so much. She felt that she knew nothing about him any more. Who was he now? What was he like? What had motivated him to do what he had done? How else had he changed?...Did he really even love her any more? The only thing that she was sure of was that she still loved him with all of her heart, and that she would do anything to stay with him. "I'm not exactly sure what I want to do, I guess it depends on what Tristan wants me to do, seeing as he is my master again. I wnat to stay with you as well." That was another thing she was not sure about any more. Who was Tristan now? How had he changed?

"I will go with you to where ever you need to go, but eventually I would like to try and find a jedi master for myself."

Mara backed up from Leo and looked at him in shock. "You've been training as a SITH!" "Well, I guess that would explain a lot about the feelings I've felt coming from you." "I still want to see if I can find a jedi to train me, but I will always love you."

Mara jumped and screamed when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned and looked into the face of her only love. "Leo, your back! Where have you been..." She stoped at the look on his face, something was very different about him.
