  1. "Oh. Of course." Galen leaned against the side of the hallway. 'New Galactic Alliance,' I wonder what that means? Galen though to himself. He studied his surroundings and wondered, have I really been gone that long? Minutes passed as Galen stayed deep in thought. He wondered about who would train him. Maybe this Xae-Lin person would be interested. He tought on the lightsaber he would be creating soon, and what it meant about his place in the galaxy. He thought on the Force and how it permeated everything here. For the first time in a while Galen relaxed and simply enjoyed the day.
  2. Galen began to walk with Trushuan to the temple. He fiddled with the holocron while they walked. Suddenly the image of an old Arkanian appeared a few inches above the device. "The temple is not the only place others can learn from this record." The gatekeeper focussed its eyes on the Fosh. "Oh! Of course," Galen replied. He handed the device to Trushaun as they continued. Soon enough they came upon the Jedi Temple.
  3. "It's a historical device. Jedi record their thoughts, teachings, knowledge in these and put in place programs to protect that knowledge from those who can't fully use it. I've been following this one as it guided me through the ruins of Tython. It taught me how to finish a lightsaber one day, and it also helped me reconcile myself with my place in the Force." Galen stared at the device as it spun slowly in his fingers. "Now it needs to be returned, so another can learn from it."
  4. "Thank you, but no. This is more than enough." Galen took another bite out of his half of the pear. He was about to answer her question but he stopped himself. Galen took a minute as he considered the question. "I'm actually not quite sure right now." He leaned up against a tree, as his eyes searched the clouds. "Kitt was my master, but now... Now he's probably in the middle of someone else's training. I was gone for a long time, studying Tython and this." Galen rummaged through his bag and retrieved the holocron that had been directing his journey recently. "I guess I'll be asking around as soon as I return the holocron I borrowed."
  5. Galen returned her gaze as he took the fruit, broke it in half along the stem, and tossed one half back to Trushaun. His fur briefly turned golden before returning to its normal color. "Thank you." "My name is Tieko; most people call me Galen... I am a Kushiban." He marveled at the tree as he took a bite of the fruit. Surprisingly enough it tasted ripe. The starchy fruit held a surprising amount of tart juice. A year ago, Galen would have questioned the use of the Force to so radically change a plant in such a way. Now he had perspective. This skill would be needed later, which means training is necessary. Galen was much more at ease with the Force and its use now. "So," The Kushiban asked in between bites. "Who's your master?"
  6. Galen walked out onto the ramp. This place hadn't changed much in his absence. Ashla's spaceport still only had light traffic. A flock of birds took off suddenly as a Corellian Hawk swooped down after them, keeping them clear of the ships. Galen was more than a little bit surprised when he had found the Starsword he had borrowed from Double-Helix replaced with a brand new Star Sabre and a note. The note had only mentioned something about the need for the ship and how this one had a cockpit more suitable to a Kushiban's size. He wasn't sure who had done the swap, but one thing was for certain. Galen owed someone a drink. For a long time Galen had studied that holocron and explored the ancient ruins. He now felt more secure in his Jedi beliefs. He had found the parts to make a lightsaber, but had yet to actually construct it. He was shocked when he checked the date after wandering. He couldn't believe how long he had been walkabout in the Tython wilderness. Master Kitt is going to be pissed. Galen chuckled at himself. He finished a preflight on his brand new Star Sabre. Soon enough he was up in the air. It handled like a dream, soaring through the clouds felt amazing. After an hour or so, he brought the fighter in for a landing. It was a long walk to the Jedi Enclave. The path looked different due to new growth and the change of season. Of course, if it had looked exactly the same, he would have been more worried. For the first time in a week, Galen opened himself up to the Force. He had kept himself closed off for a time, partly to see how he would do without it, and partly for a change of pace after all the meditation, and soul searching he had done recently. Slowly at first he lets the Force flow through him. Life is everywhere in a forest. It's like a drink of cool water to a a parched throat. Every part of him feels better. Energy moves along every surface of the forest, the insects below and the trees around feed their own small voices into a great symphony. Up ahead and to his right he feels a strange surge in the Force. Curious Galen walks towards the source of the disturbance. There he saw something amazing. An incredible creature danced through the air. Galen knew how to fly, but to be able to litteraly stretch his wings and take to the sky, that would be forever beyond him. Instead this creature ((Trushaun)) effortlessly soared as if it were second nature to her. She then dropped to the ground and seemed to focus on a young tree. Galen watched as she meditated and he could have sworn that the tree grew taller. Absolutely brilliant. He chastised himself for standing their gawking. He walked forward and politely cleared his throat. "Excuse me, I don't mean to intrude, but that was amazing."
  7. GALEN'S CHARACTER SHEET Identity [!ident] Real Name: Tieko A.K.A: Galen or Doc Homeworld: Kushibah Species: Kushiban Physical Description [!dscrp] Age: 20 Height: 0.4 m Weight: 3 kg Fur: Changes based on mood. Is normally cream. Eyes: Silver Sex: Male Equipment [!equip] Clothing or Armor: A single steel blue outer robe with forest green trim. Weapon: A small (1 m in length) bow staff . Common Inventory: Two fast flesh med packs in a knapsack, and a dozen or so small pouches filled with teas, medicines, herbs and spices. Faction Information [!factn] Force User, Force Sensitive or Non-Force User Force User Alignment: Good Current Faction Affiliation: Jedi Current Faction Rank: (In progress. Either Hopeful or Padawan depending on a PM I'm waiting on.) History: [!hstry] Force Side: Light Trained by: Kitt Trained who: Known Skills: First aid, some maintenance, piloting. Background: Galen grew on Kushibah. At a young age he showed that he had a gift in leadership and in helping others. He studied the healing arts. Durring this study Galen found that he had a unique empathy for those he was treating. At some points he could feel what the other person felt and he could simply know where the problem was. After a while, one of the local healers identified him as being force sensitive. So Galen saved his money until he could buy transport off of Kushibah. It took every penny he had just to get started on his first leg of the journey. No one travels from the core straight to kushibah. Only passing freighters come and go. The first ship dumped Galen unceremoniously on a hyper-relay station. Galen knew that he wanted to get to Gala, but had no direct route from there. So at the age of 17, he was hired by a captain of a trade ship, The Rongxing He would work for safe passage anywhere the ship went. For two years Galen worked as a medic, both on and off the ship as it traveled the galaxy. When the ship would stop at a backwater station or planet, Galen offered his services there. Most didn't recognize him as a medic. Being a kushiban Galen was more often mistaken for vermin. So, the healer began to weave a robe. Kushiban are noted for being great weavers, at least by those who know of them in the first place. He used the last of the silkweed he had carried from home. He combined the silkweed with sheddings of his own fur. This created a thread that he dyed. Galen wove that thread to produce a steel blue robe with green trim. Now people seemed to recognize him rather quickly as a healer. As Galen worked on the ship, he became familiar with droids. For the most part astromechs were the only personalities that had a similar enough size. Galen began to learn their language. Any droid would have to slow their 'speech' for him to fully understand what was said. However, soon Galen had a working understanding of binary, and could even whistle well enough to communicate with the various droids on the ship. Now Galen learned to be an able mechanic as well as a ship's surgeon. Soon enough the Rongxing came upon Galacian space. The kushiban paid his farewells to the crew and set forth for the Jedi Temple. After a while he was taken on as an apprentice to Kitt. This lead to more than a few unexpected encounters. After some training, Galen was lead to Tython where he went on a long journey following clues left in a holocron. Only recently has he made it back to civilization. Ship Registration [!ship] Name: Rovin Class: Fighter Model: Star Saber XC-01 refit. Manufacturer: Republic Fleet Systems Length: 13 Meters Armaments: 2 Laser Cannons and Mounts for External Stores like Shield Buster Torpedoes or Heavy Concussion Missiles Armor: Deflector Shields Anti-Personnel Defenses: The ship has ignition codes. Otherwise, it's just too plain dangerous generally for a non-force user to fly. That, and the cockpit probably wont fit most humanoids. (See "Modifications") Appearance: credited to http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Saber_XC-01_starfighter Notes This refit has two laser cannons instead of the original design's heavy blaster cannons. As a current design everything from the engines to the hyperdrive and even the hull has been built with current technology and materials. The engines particularly have been upgraded making the Star Saber extraordinarily maneuverable and fast. This is needed considering the light armament and armor, the ship (much like its predecessor) relies on speed for protection. Modifications:The above is not so much a modification as it is the updates to the chassis expected after being redesigned. The only true modification is how the cockpit has been redesigned to better fit Galen's stature.
  8. As Galen was studying the holocron, it made a reference to another one. More than that, it should him where in the facility that device was. Galen found it quickly enough. It spoke about the nature of the Force and a Jedi's connection to it. It even spoke on some of the contradictions that Galen perceived in the Jedi code. After much deliberation, Galen bid farewell to Kitt and Tirius for the time. He informed them of his plans to follow the trail that this holocron had left. Galen took the holocron and left the sanctuary heading into the forest. There was a network of caves and ruins close by that the holocron mentioned my provide some insight. He was not seen again for a while. ((Hopefully I'll be back this summer. ^^ Have fun y'all.))
  9. Galen observed every detail he could of the enclave. He tried to push the force to the back of his mind as he studied his senses. He could hear the wind moving through the alien trees and grasses. There was a crisp and slightly sweet smell on the air. The rocks around the enclave were tall and colored with white in some areas, deep red in others, and pale tan in others still. The light from the local sun set some of the tops of the rock formations a purple tinge. Galen followed his master into the enclave and past room after room of archives. They finally came upon a meditation room that was spherical in nature. The room was large and the floor gently curved into the walls and the ceiling. There were alcoves built into the wall and they held items of various natures.
  10. Galen set his Starsword down gently. After he finished his post flight checklist, he refueled the tanks and tied down the ship. Tyhton's air tasted crisp and the slight difference in gravity felt, once again, unique. Galen took a moment to admire the area from the airfield. It had been long enough, that his hair had grown back since the incident above Gala. It felt good to not be bundled up in layers of robes for decency. Now he wore nothing but a simple steel blue robe. Galen grabbed a survival pack from the ship, and followed his master. He was wondering how they were going to build a lightsaber in a place where no technology works.

    Kashyyyk

Galen was not sure of what to do next. On the one hand, Neruu may need help here on planet if anything came up. On the other hand Galen needed to know how it was that his dead master was now walking and talking. On the other hand, Master Kirlocca had ordered both Neruu and Galen to Kashyyk. On the other hand BlackSun needed to be dealt with for the safety of the Wookiee people. Galen agreed to go with Kitt. "If we are to walk into a hornet's nest, then I better learn quick."

    Kashyyyk

((Whoop's my bad.)) Responsibilities? Check. Different healing rates. Check. Coming back from the dead when you were burn't to a crisp and had much of your remains sucked into the void of space.... Not check. Galen had, had enough of being polite when it came to this, so he just blurted it out there. "Aren't you dead?" "I'm pretty sure I saw your carbonized remains fused to the ships plating." Galen began to loose his composure. "I mean stang! I Watched You Die You don't just get back up from that sort of thing with nothing more than a 'whoopsy-daisy'." "You certainly wouldn't proceed to just continue on missions as if nothing happened." "And yet, the other Jedi seem to believe you are who you claim to be!" "Was there another escape pod on that boat I missed or something!?" "If you were an actor, you must be pretty kriffing good, but it's beyond that. You don't just talk and act like Kitt, you talk and act and communicate through the force the same as Kitt! You even immitate that annoying habit of his to shout every single comfort oriented thought through the Force as if it were a common band comm channel with the gain turned too high." "So who exactly are you?" Galen's fur was not readily visible beneath the full robe he wore as it was still growing back, but if anyone had seen his fur it would have been a sight. All the colors of the rainbow swirling and an angry red punctuating each statement. His language was colorful in more ways than one.

    Kashyyyk

((Sorry for the short post/post delay. School has been one test after another.)) Galen looked like he had just seen a ghost. The fact that his dead master had just walked up and talked to them all threw him off balance a bit. Yeah, it could have been a hallucination or something, but Galen had seen everyone else interacting with him too. Through the Force Galen heard, "In time, all will be explained to you both." This is creeping me out. Galen tried to keep up with the conversation, and just as quickly he had come, his old master left, leaving Neruu and Galen to await the Wookiee Council's decision.

    Kashyyyk

The small amount of fur that Galen had grown back turned an embarrassed pale-red. He was thankful that he had a robe to cover the burns from his last mission. He bowed his head a bit. "I apologize, I have only recently entered into the galaxy at large." The war, while affecting many places, didn't seem to have much impact on freighter crews on the outer edge of the outer rim. He turned to Neruu. "I suppose, that is we have company coming it would be good to prepare the way right?" "Hirolaah, can you take us to one of the Sith or BlackSun bases?"
  15. Galen

    Kashyyyk

Galen turned to Hirolaah, "Master Kirlocca says that he has made a commitment to the Jedi." Before Hirolaah replied Galen continued, "However, he is aware of the troubles facing Kashyyk. We are to help in any way we can, and he is sending further aid." Galen paused for a moment. "You mentioned BlackSun's connection to this planet. Could you be any more specific?"
