  1. His walk was one of uncertainty... each step carried a wave of rejection, buried deep within it all though a vague hint of betrayal could be felt lingering. Sebastian felt as if he'd brought harm upon his companion. Not physically, but much worse within his own mind... it was a mental attack of some kind. One that was not intentional and weighed heavily upon the burly ex-miner. As they walked down the hall, little conversation amongst them had taken place since the confrontation. Sebastian taking it as a sign remained silent. That is until Holden spotted the Wookiee who managed to dwarf even him, the grotesquely large padawan. "It is a pleasure to see you once again, Master Kirlocca. You've got yourself one spirited boy there..." Sebastian said with a genuine smile, as seeing the Jedi brought him back to just a few days ago when he'd arrived here and first met him. Good times... He thought allowing the negative feelings he'd been feeling to slip away for a moment. It was a relief to him. "We've come here, in hopes of obtaining your permission for little Holden to accompany us on a little trip to Corellia. You see, Master Tares Vortex, has taken me on as an apprentice. Along with Adenna, here." "He wishes for Holden to attend as well, Master Skye Organa and a few others will be coming as well... so the little tyke will be well taken care of. So what do you say?"
  2. ( AHHH... I HATE ALIASES! This was meant to be under the Notorious v.2 Account ) Sokar watched the Kiffar closely... who seemed intrigued by the story that the croke had to tell. Unaware of that fact that he'd just been taken under the wing of a fellow sith, he slowly allowed his tail to recoil lowering his frame to the ground. As his two-toed feet once again found solice within the sands of the beach, he began to follow Lucifer. Unsure of what to say... or even do for that matter, he simply followed. With a hushed mind and steady stride the croke broke the entrance into the cavern. As he looked around the cave and ventured deeper into the depths of the planet, he could feel the sheer darkness that remained here... Cautiously, Sokar opened his mind once again and allowed another thought to creep into his Masters' mind. What are we going to be doing upon Coruscant?... Sokar questioned, though inwardly he thought upon something else. A god among the masses... The statement lingered within his mind... and was already beginning to alter his opinion and ideals of many things. If he were to be a god... then servants would be needed...
  3. ( Sorry about that... I didn't see it I guess, and also sorry for the delay on the post. busy weekend. EDIT: I suck at alias'... this is supposed to be under Notorious v.2) When the invisible claws lifted from his throat and the sudden rushing of air that filled his gasping lungs, his body reluctantly yet instinctually took the breaths that followed. Each of them sending waves of torment through his frame as his slender neck felt as if razors were being consumed with each intake of air. Thankfully, the horrible sensation passed and in the moments that were found in between were of the Sith speaking down upon him. His feeble attempt at implanting a vision of him training the croke had failed. He'd left Sokar with a question... what brought him to Byss. As pushed himself up and off of the sand, he took a moment to wipe away the granules that had proceeded to cling to him. The acolyte stood with a renewed vigor, his swaying tail evident of the fact, and with careful determination he placed another thought message into the mind of the Sith. The drums... a drumming pulse that racked my brain and drove me to near insanity. Forcing me to leave the planet in which I was being trained upon... its name is still unknown to me, but there was a Sith Temple under constuction upon it. Either way... I used my shape shifting abilities to gain access to a ship, and once on board the drums lead me here. Once we'd broke the atmosphere the drums stopped and I was clueless as too the reason for coming to this place... until you called. His nimble, yet sturdy arms crossed at his center of his chest and his legs folded neatly into a position common upon those whom meditate. His burly tail was carrying his weight allowing him to seemingly hover... inwardly he chuckled as he realized how much he truly enjoyed this form.
  4. The comm-link suddenly sparked to life; carrying a message for the hopeful whom was now attending the group training offered by Master Kirlocca. After Sebastian had received not only it, but the answer to the question he'd asked the Wookiee Jedi just moments ago. Two options had been given to him; he could either stay here and learn with the masses. Or he could do exactly what he wanted to do and step away from the rest of the herd. The black sheep; so to speak. And so with measured steps the hopeful made his way to his feet, gave a slight bow to the Master at the head of the class and then turned to walk out of the auditorium. His feet carried swiftly to the hanger bay; where he boarded a transport shuttle and asked to be taken to Helix Station. "Master Tares Vortex is waiting for me there... I am to be his Padawan." Sebastian said with a voice full of pride. (OOC: On my way to Helix Station.)
  5. The room was filling up quickly; Sebastian had failed to realize that there were so many hopefuls. The realization that followed was a grim one, because the bald man understood that the Jedi might have enough available Masters for them all. Meaning that some would be left waiting quite sometime. Though, lingering at the back of his mind was a simple thought”¦ Well then”¦ I guess I'll just have to stand out amongst the masses. Soon, Kirlocca began to look as if he was about to speak. His eyes glanced over the room before finally settling on the obvious brute of the hopefuls. Sebastian found himself wrapped up in the very presence that the Wookiee carried himself in. The sheer aura that radiated from the furry creatures being was of the purest of lights, the sign of a great Jedi. Something that the man from Apartos craved”¦ his virgin mind still had much to learn about the Jedi. Perhaps this is what Kirlocca had felt and was the reason behind the stare that the two exchanged briefly. Once it was broken though, the Jedi Master began to address the filled auditorium. ”œGreetings. I am Master Kirlocca. You all have been called here to begin a corporate training with the Jedi. I will be your trainer during this time until a Jedi Master picks you up, or until the Jedi Council assigns a Master to you. Until such a thing transpires, you will be known throughout the Jedi Order as the Kybuck Clan. Are there any questions?”
  6. Kirlocca. The name was tossed around several times within his mind, it sounded familiar. After all who wouldn't expect would to travel throughout the Republic about a Wookiee Jedi. Though, there was still little about the Master Jedi that he knew. Either way, Sebastian's interest was peaked when training was once again mentioned. The sensation of the anticipation was tremendous”¦ he eagerness was nearly overwhelming him. Turning his attention back to the Kiffar with whom he'd approached moments prior. The words that were spoken by this man were relatable, or at least expected them to be in the near future. As he tried to piece together a response that wouldn't leave him looking foolish, as this was something that Sebastian regularly did. He always bothered himself with what people thought of him. Though, before he could actually formulate the sentence Trinius excused himself and left. It was as if something had happened that Sebastian could see”¦ or sense. Because seemingly at the nearly exact moment that Trinius had departed Kirlocca had approached and placed a paw upon his shoulder. Allowing his head to turn and his brown eyes to fall upon the furry paw on his shoulder, he was surprised by what he realized. It was then that Sebastian saw himself as the hulking being that he was, because the rather large fur-ball didn't overwhelm him. As the Wookiee made his way out of the Training room, Sebastian didn't hesitate to fall into procession behind the Jedi Master. Training and been offered and the Hopeful had every intention of being there when Kirlocca was ready to teach. Their journey was a quiet one, neither choosing to speak though there reasons were different. The bald man was sure that his Master was probably deep in thought, as something of importance was happening”¦ perhaps their training was starting soon. It wasn't until they reached the auditorium and the announcement was given over the loudspeaker. Sebastian wasted little time finding his seat and by now his choice should have been an obvious one. Front and center. Finally”¦
  7. Relief. This was a feeling that the young miner hadn't experienced in quite sometime. In fact, Sebastian couldn't remember the last time that the emotion had encompassed him and he reveled within the solitude that it brought him. All of this was brought on by the simple manifestations that the Wookiee had placed within his mind. The words that had been placed into his mind were ones of comfort”¦ spoken from a true Jedi. Somehow, they were just more soothing than Roene's”¦ Perhaps it has something to do with their abilities”¦ maybe the Master is just able to access the mind easier”¦ hmmm. I'll have to ask about that later. This was the prominent thought that lingered around; the others that occupied his mind weren't as prevalent. He had taken to the idea that his strong heart would serve him well, his mother had always told him that his heart was the greatest gift that he possessed. The pleasant memory of his mother had brought forth an unexpected smile, further proof of just how little stress Sebastian was under currently. Then, there was the other comment”¦ one that quickly wiped away the grin and turned his face slipped back into the concentrated mask that he was so accustomed to wearing. After all, one had to place one hundred percent of their focus into their work within the mine”¦ cortosis mining isn't a simple task. The nervousness had begun to fade, replaced by the flooding of adrenaline into his system”¦ anticipation now hung at the back of his mind. Drawing the moisture from his mouth and shriveling his esophagus. He'd come here to learn the ways of the Jedi, and seconds prior the very words he'd been longing to hear had been mentioned. His training would commence shortly and Sebastian was ready. His body had been honed over the years within the mines chipping away at the cortosis veins. The thundering jackhammer against the nearly indestructible mineral required a handler with a few critical characteristics. They have to be strong; which Sebastian clearly was upon first glance. His hulking mass of muscle was obvious even beneath the veil of his robes. The human wasn't tall by any means, but his stocky frame was one that couldn't be underestimated”¦ often described as a rancor among men. Another trait that a miner must possess excellent stamina, because working the mines wasn't a job”¦ it was a necessity. The wages were shit and the expenses were outrageous, no matter how much time you put into the mine mattered little. One way or another you were still losing more than you were gaining”¦ the mining company made sure of that. That is why stamina is key”¦ if you couldn't keep up the jackhammer constantly working that vein, than someone else would step in and claim it. The final characteristic that is required of someone working the mines is simple and yet unexpected within such a hostile environment. Patience. This is something that is required for the greatest of miners”¦ because only the patience will truly accomplish anything against the unrelenting cortosis. The ones that got frustrated easily or just couldn't handle the strain of the job”¦ simply didn't last long. These things were all things that would enable Sebastian to become one of the great Jedi Masters that stories are based around. All of these will prove to benefit him greatly during his training”¦ because his body and mind have already been connected for so long. The only thing that he needed to learn now what how to connect them to the Force. ”œMaster Jedi”¦I look forward to the training, but might I ask you for your name?”
  8. Always the curious cat, Sebastian had allowed himself to wander into a situation that had left him both embarrassed and ashamed slightly. Although after a brief session of pacing back and forth, trying to decide whether or not he would simply slip out of the room. Unnoticed, of course. He decided he would stick around for a moment longer. He was showing one of his weaknesses, which had plagued him since early childhood. To put it plainly, he was an insecure soul”¦ never quite sure of anything and always hesitant to leapt into something feet first. It was a curse upon the man and one that he longed to rid himself of. I see you over there”¦ You can't hide from me. Come watch or partake in the lesson”¦ The words crept through his mind, which forced a chill down Sebastian's spine. He still hadn't gotten used to having someone speaking directly to his mind, and the entire idea of it was still kind of”¦ weird. Either way, the Cerean from earlier had recognized him and once again was showing him kindness. It was at this time that Sebastian began to realize that he was becoming fond of this particular being, not in a sexual way”¦ but just in friendship. Something that he'd experienced little of during his lifetime. So the Hopeful figured that he might as well make the best of the offer, and slowly he entered the room. The members of the Jedi that were training within, were all lost deep within the trance in which they had recently discovered. Slowly, they rose from their hibernation and a few words were exchanged amongst the lot. Sebastian had decided to hold his tongue until everything that had needed to be voiced was out in the air. After Roene had said his part, the Hopeful figured that now was as good a time as any. ”œMaster Kirlocca? My name is Sebastian Laurence and I”¦ well honestly I didn't mean to disturb you all. If I did. I can be clumsy at times”¦ oh shoot”¦ look at me rambling on. Sebastian allowed himself to take a deep breath, lifting his right hand up to his face and began to massage his temples with his thumb and middle finger. After a short moment he passed his hand over his bald scalp and down to his neck where it stopped. ”œYou see”¦ the thing is. I need training”¦ and well honestly, I'm willing to do anything to get it.”
  9. It had been sometime since Sebastian had slipped into the trance”¦ accidental as it was; the miner from Apartos had made contact with the force. He was completely submerged within the currents that ran their course through him. It was amazing. His entire being was enveloped by its power and a feeling of serenity swept over the untrained mind of the hopeful. Yet, as amazing as it seemed to him”¦ it also scared him for some odd reason. As quickly as he'd made contact, Sebastian retracted from it and forcing himself into consciousness. As his eyes opened, Sebastian allowed himself to take a gasping breath”¦ shaking his head to rid himself of the smothering feeling that had begun to creep upon him. The single horrid image that sprang forth from the back of his mind left him shaking”¦ They're dead”¦ Thought the man; who at this time felt like an orphaned boy. The image that now plagued his mind was one of pain”¦ torture even”¦ Somehow, the force found a way to show the boy the fate that his family had suffered after his departure from Apartos. Butchered. Like cattle. His family was killed for their unwillingness to pay for their son's debt”¦ not to mention the overwhelming debt that they were already in. Try as he might, Sebastian couldn't shake the image from his mind”¦ and the result of this event left him in a precarious situation. He'd touched the force unwillingly before, often had it saved him from exhaustion within the mines”¦ though up until recently he didn't know that it was the force that was behind it. Though this time, things were different”¦ he wasn't thankful for the ”œgift”
  10. There was something different with the Jedi Hopeful that stood alone within the confines of one of the training rooms. The miner looked focused”¦ his presence was one of calmness and with every maneuver his demeanor remained true. His diligence was paying off for him, even though it was nothing of value”¦ just child's play in the realm of things”¦ though, the dedication that he was applying to his physical movements was having other effects on Sebastian. He was allowing his mind to become clear and pour every ounce of his attention into the lesson at hand. Each movement was planned to the tee”¦ precise and crisp. Or so, Sebastian wanted to believe”¦ though failed to. It was awkward, uncomfortable, and just plain annoying. There wasn't much to it that the Hopeful liked and this troubled him. Allowing himself to halt his impression of lightsaber combat the miner lifted his hand that clutched the training saber hilt. Once again his jostled his wrist allowing the weapon to move in his grasp”¦ It just doesn't feel right to me”¦ The thought sparked a new interest within the hopeful Jedi. His eyes springing to life as the blazed a course around the room, surveying the walls and various racks that lined them”¦ his eyes bare witness to several forms of weaponry. Though, there was one object in particular that caught his eye and a grin slowly spread across his lips. ”œSimple”¦ I think this will do.”
  11. Hunger”¦ the sensation hadn't ceased and in fact things had only gotten worse. The audible rattling of his stomach was an obvious testament to this fact. The bite to eat that the Cerean had brought him had proved to be nothing more than a tease; a spark that ignited the burning hunger within him. Moments ago, Sebastian had taken the liberty to introduce himself and extend a friendly hand. A sign of appreciation for what the alien had done to him; something that left him shocked”¦ having received hostile treatment from most non-humans. These were the things that the man from Apartos was contemplating until the alien's hand clasped around his. Doesn't feel any different than our flesh”¦ not so different are we? Thought Sebastian as the handshake wrapped up and both parties retracted their hands. "My name is Kro' Roene Givrah, Jedi Padawan... And yes I was the one who put words in your head, so to speak" "This is the Jedi temple on Gala if you hadn't figured it out already and this more particularly is the Mess Hall. There is plenty of food for you to eat here and I recommend, judging by your hasty reaction to the food you just ate, that you eat a bit more before you start doing any heavy activities." This was when the man began to gather his things”¦ he was preparing to depart. "I have my own training to contend with right now and a master who I would not like to keep waiting, but if you would like a residence within the temple just ask the front desk and I am sure they could fix you something for your stay; feel free to eat the food here and I would recommend that you mingle with some of the other padawans or Jedi in general to see what its like. If you want to stay and wait for a master to start your apprenticeship that is your decision, but if you want to go back to the woods that is always an option as well.”
  12. Overwhelmed”¦ that was the sensation that lingered within him. His eyes were unable to comprehend that which they were beholding, the landscape that surrounded Sebastian was unlike anything he'd ever seen. The graceful valleys and low mountain ranges”¦ those were things that his mother often spoke of. These were the kind of sights that the miner had dreamed of as a young boy. As the vastness of the entirety of Gala swept through his very being, he simply absorbed it and cherished the opportunity that awaited him upon this beautiful planet. As his feet shuffled against the long blades of grass beneath them, Sebastian began to realize just why the forest had become more of a home than the temple itself. Life as a miner had forced him to become a solitary person, one whom doesn't really enjoy the company of others. A bit of a loner, so to speak”¦ and here amongst the lush green grass, the hulking trees, and the rolling hills”¦ he felt at peace. It had been this way since the Jedi that had discovered and brought him here. This place is paradise in comparison to Apartos”¦ my only regret is that my mother and father can't be here to enjoy it with me. Quite often, he found himself thinking about the family that remained on the mining planet. Forced to face that dreadful existence. Yet, here heI sat. A few days ago while hunting a few miles north of the Temple, he happened upon this place. A cascading waterfall that stood about eighty feet above the calm pool beneath it. Lining the cliff were smooth grey stones that had been begun to show signs of algae growth, the green-like moss littered the massive stones in splotchy patterns. Beneath the surface of the pool was a cave of the unknown, and this was a place that Sebastian had yet to venture into. Though the surrounding forest had become his home”¦ having fashioned a small hut in a clearing upon the cliff above, this truly was paradise for the former miner. With his feet draped over the edge of the rock that he sat upon, Sebastian allowed his eyes to envelop the landscape beneath him. His mind worked to push the sound of the rushing waterfall next to him out of mind as he tried to concentrate. The amber eyes of the young hunter were in hot pursuit”¦ something had been lurking in the dark around him, always out of sight hidden beyond the veil of light. With nothing but the moonlight to go by, the Jedi Hopeful steadied his bow”¦ fashioned out of oak and the hide of a bear”¦ Sebastian allowed his eye to trace the expected flight plan of the arrow. When his muscular arm retracted, the power that was contained within him was obvious. The massive six-foot bow was built much like the maker”¦ for power. As his fingers fell from the draw-string the wood of the bow bounce back to its original form, propelling the arrow at devastating speed through the night air in an arching pattern through the sky. His trained eyes followed the arrow as it crossed in front of the moon briefly before beginning its dive”¦ and when it disappeared into the canopy of trees beneath him in the distance. A sense of accomplishment filled him when the cry of death filled the air”¦ his prey had fallen victim to his shot. Devastating as always. Thought Sebastian as he leapt from his perch at the peak of the waterfall, his bow now lying on the rock face that he previously occupied. Adjusting his body for the approach, he was able to break the surface with near perfect form. A few strokes from his powerful arms and he was now clutching the muddy terra the lined the edge of the pool”¦ a few seconds later and he was out of the water and sprinting through the forest like a deer. Ducking and dodging low lying branches, vines, and the usual thorn bush”¦ in truth it was quite amazing to see just how accustomed Sebastian had become with this place. He'd adapted to it and this was apparent in just how nimble the hulking five-seven male moved through the forest at night. This truly had become his home. Though what came next was something that Sebastian wasn't prepared for. His bow had been designed to kill, capable of great power in order to end the lives in which it would claim. Though the purpose for such power was simple, he killed not for sport or pleasure but for necessity”¦ and so his weapon was crafted to be a single shot killer. One that could take a beast down and do so with relatively little pain, with the properly aimed arrow of course and in this case it wasn't. As he approached the sheer amount of blood that painted the scenery like a canvas was enough to break his stride”¦ Sebastian now walked with weary feet as he heard the cries of pain that was now only a few meters away. A deer shrieked out in agony with every attempt to distance itself away from the approaching man, an arrow, his arrow had pierced her hindquarters rendering them useless. Obviously, some kind of vital artery had been struck and was the result of the massive blood loss”¦ it was then that he realized something. Suddenly rushing over to the beast and drawing the stone knife from his boot, Sebastian sliced the creatures throat and ended its suffering. ”œIt is a circle my friend”¦ we are all apart of a circle”¦ one day, it will be I who fills his role within it.”
