Odan Zurr

The engines of the starship turned on with a beatiful hum, and then a loud bang was heard followed by an ear peircing screech. Odan clamped his hands to the side of his head, until the noise stoped. He then quickly looked for a tool box, he picked it up and walked to the engine room. He opended one of the pannels, sparks and smoke shot out of it like a missile from a capital ship. He backed away from the thing until it stoped, he then pulled out a hydrospanner from the box along with a Jumper bypass and a macrofuser. He unsrewed the bolts allowing him to get to delicate wires of the ship. It looked as if soom of them had been almost put too close together, he shrugged and got to work replacing them. He did this all while thinking, the Yavin system wasn't that where Exar Kun became on of the Dark Lords and created the brotherhood of the sith? Also not to metion one of the birth places of many Massassi warriors. He had heard about a few Jedi using it as a base at some time, but never actually thought Jedi would have lived on a planet where so many dark events had happended. Though of course Coruscant was know to have gone through some pretty bad times. Odan then welded the last bolt back into place and closed the pannel door. "Okay try it now", Odan yelled to his master.

After hearing the call Odan came to the spot where master Dashel and Kirana Sunrider stood. He looked at master Dashel and then said with a hint in his voice, " I don't things here could have gone any better, due to the fact that I'm still alive and not being digested by some creature. Though on a slightly concerned note I do think I have heat stroke. That or a Wampa somehow ended up on this planet and learned how to fly." Odan then smiled a mischievous happy grin but just as soon as it had come it disappeared into calm demeanor. "Though unfortunately I was unable to end the conflict between the Tuskens and settlers, thought it has been likely dealt with now in the time I was here.”

Odan looked at the speeder, "it would proably me more apropriate to ride a Bantha. Though I'm not going to complain as long everything goes according to plan."

OOC:It's been three days, I'm going without Cypher. Odan paced bake and forth, Cyper had still not come yet. Odan then said to Kira, "I can't wait any longer for him, the situation has proably already escalated with the time that's passed. I need to get that moisture vaporater to get to the sand people now. Normaly I would wait, but time is running out." Odan's voice was filled with a slight annoyance, not at Cypher, but more at the circumstances that Odan was in.

Odan treveld on the speeder back to the town from where he acuried it. After he returned it, he set out on foot across the endless desert landsacpe. After about a mile the heat began to take it's toll on Odan. He felt as if he were going to burst into flames, the back of his motuh was as dry as the sand its self. He then began to slow down until finaly dropping face first into the sand. There has to be water somewhere, thought Odan. he looked at the ground even with his limted sense he could sense there was water down below, but not close enough for him to dig to it. He then thought water isn't at all heavy it'd be easy to lift it to the top of the surface. He dug a small depression in the dirt and concentrated on the water. He slowly began moving it upward towards him ever so carefully. At last it came up towars the surface and he drank steadily from it, until eventually letting it fall down back into the ground. He then began walking towards the Jedi Knight's location. After he left he soon came across a lone dewback, he slowly came towards and jumper on it. After a few minutes of protest he calmed it down and started using it as a mount to help him across the desert. Afterwards he came across Kira's location. He said in a joking voice, "why on a planet with two stars and no water, why never a nice planet like Corellia or Chandrila?"

"Appology accepted, Master dashel is in good health and he left us here to help with the problems with the Tuskens. I'm guesiing this is proably a test of his, posibly even a trial." Odan then spoke in a less casual and more serious voice. "I do have a plan in mind, I could possibly", Odan searched for the right word, "detain the aprentice while you and Cypher go to the Sith lords location. No doubt Chypher's ability over wind would be very helpfull if it came to a fight. And I have a bad feeling that it will come to that if he lives up to the typical Sith's reputation."

Odan slowly moved out into the open and then spoke in a clear voice, "the Sith lord, I know he plans to kill the other for revenge. And from what I read, and heard about the Sith their known for getting what they want. I'm guessing that he has set a trap for the him. I also came to the planet to settle a dispute between the Tusken raiders as they are called, and the the inntergrated species of this planet." Odan then spoke in a lighter tone, "and as for being called young one, I'm far from that by Human standards."He looked outwards to the horrizon and saw the desert whirlwinds, and felt the force signature of Cypher. He thought one thing and only one thing in his mind, how?

Odan did not say anything but did a small curt nod. He then walked toward the speeder bikes carefully looking at them and then hoped on to a 22-B Nightfalcon speeder bike. He did not wait for the others to take off. Once on he got on he flew out of the city going as fast as the speeder would let him. It flew over the sands of the dune sea leaving a tail of dust and small rocks behind it. He could feel the Sith lords presence, he always imgainned the dark side to be as cold as the icy surface of Ilum, but instead it was as blazing hot as the suns that flew above him. As he neared the gathering group of Force sensitives, he slowed the speeder bike down to a stop. He then stood behind a small outcropings of rocks, not holding his saber or an other weapon. He just stood and waited for the outcome.

Odan turned the Sith, who had just done a very bold and reckless move of revealing himself to everyone in side. "Whatever he is thought", Odan, "he sure isn't one fore secrecy." Odan then slowly opened his mind to the force feeling it's presence all around. He then focused on the Sith and spoke to him through it. "One should always hide their presense in places and times like this." He then broke away from the Force, hiding his presense. He turned to Daggot and Xevious, "why yes and I beileve the first place to go would be the Needles in the Jundland Wastes." He then laughed, "I see those hostages as a bit more like invaders and trespassers on Ghorfa land."

Odan looked at the man called Daggot Lester, he could sense no decption coming from him. Which was very odd to Odan seeing it first as a trap instead of what it truly was, a harmless meting. He shoved the thought away and spoke to Daggot in Jawa Trade language, "as my companion has just said Master Dashel and the protocol droid are not able to be here. But I would be happy to try and translate to the best of my abilities." All why this happended Odan felt a small tremor in the force it had a mischevious feel to it. Though he could still feel the presence of the Dark side in it. Emotions ran through it like water in the Orrineswa River on Eriadu. He sensed no ill intnet from it though and ignored it and put it in the back of his mind.

Odan looked through the data banks and saw the information on Odan Urr and Ossus, he read a few bits about the great library on Ossus and about Odan urrs long life and telepathic comunacation ability. Something I'll have to rember later on Odan thought, he then began to look for what would be needed to create the saber. He would need a handgrip, an activation stud plate, a sfatey switch, an emitter matrix, a power cell, a power conduit, a recharge socket, and a lens assembly which includded a focusing crystal. instead of a straight hilt, he picked out a curved hilt. Even though he knew that it was more complex and gave the maker a more of a challenge in aliging the crystals. He then selected a crimsion crystal for his own symbolic consideration, not for any political afialtion. He then came back to master Dashell and handed him the light saber parts. Hopefully he wouldn't have to sit through a lecture about the darkside, due to the blade color he chose. I mean I'm a hundered and twenty years old, I've had my shares of lectures, he thought.

Odan slowly pulled out his Vibro sword,and held it in his right hand diganonly across him. While not as elgant or light as a lightsaber, it would be able to parry for the lightsabers blows. Odan then began to dwelve into the force he let go of his pysical self and let the force flow through him. his mind was at peace and he could feel the life down on the planet. But strangley enough he felt overwhelmed by the force, as if it had taken over his body. Unlike his duel with Master Dashel, Odan put himself in a defensive postion and prepared for Cyphers attack. He learned that Ataru was effective for prolonged combat, so now he would combine defensive atrributes of Soresu with the power and speed of Ataru.

Odan had thought about the subject for quite sometime while on Helix,"the Force is far greater than any weapon we can create, and has many other uses than destruction. Besides", Odan said with a bit of humor in his voice, I've never been much of a warrior anyway."

Odan slowly let go of his perseptions and let himself enbrace the force. He felt strange, his mind felt as if it were still inside his head, but yet somewhere else too. he was about to open his eyes when suddenly he did not see the black darkness, but now saw the ship in whispy shades of gray. The walls and floors semmed translucent and yet not, like fog over a planets lake. he then turned to his Master and Cypher,they appeared as bright blue lights in the forms of their bodies. He then looked apon himself and saw a darker less vibrante blue body of light. He then felt to Force slowly leave him, and his vison went back to it's normal state.

Odan left the traning room and headed to the armory where he collected two blasters and a large number of power packs. He then collected varois medical supplies and an R6 astromech droid dubbed R6-K2. He then arrived at the Docking pad which held his master ship. he entered it and began a sytems check, making sure that nothing was out of place. After the check porivded nothing that would deter the trip to Mon Calamari, he then went to his own ship and collected afew holobooks for the trip. After he got back to the transport, he had the Astromech link up with the navigation computer.

Odan felt the kick delivered, it wasn't as painful as he though it would be but that's not to say it was with out pain. He fell to the floor with a thud as his body hit the ground. He then pushed himself off the ground and picked up the saber. He then drove into the Force letting go of his physical sense; he no longer had direct control over his body. He had surrendered himself completely to the Force. He raised his saber vertically beside him. He then attacked, with a slice to his master's arm. Odan then continued with fast but light strikes and thrust and weak parries, in an attempt to draw his master into a trap. Though with this strategy he started to lose ground and get burnt by his master's saber. He also started to fatigue, he felt the ebb of the force slowly slipping away. But then he saw an opening in his master's attacks; he raised his lightsaber and brought it down with a diagonal slice. But at the last possible moment, Odan flicked his wrist and brought it into a down ward thrust to his masters now exposed saber hilt.

"Yes master" replied odan, he then summoned the force around him. He then lifted his light saber and but it behind and slightly above his head. like a Vornskr about to attack. As the force came into him, he flet more calm and at peace. He also felt the force slightly guding his actions and telling him what to do. Odan then charged at his fast and thrust his saber forward. Sparks flew as the sabers clashed and the battle began.

Odan gave a quizzacal look to his master, "so to truly use this form I must let the force guide my actions? Or is just truly", Odan thought for an appropiate word, "surrendering my body to the power of the force and joining with it.?" Odan thought for a moment, the more he learned of the force the more questions about came into view. Odan then turned his attention back to his studies.

Odan looked at his master, "I wish to learn how to use a lightsaber. Despite the nature of my species, I'm not a warrior. That's why I chose Ataru as my lightsaber form." Odan knew that the way of a jedi was one of peace, but the life of a jedi espically in these times had many battles in it.

Odan focused trying to sense the marbles in the room, it was like trying to find a rancor in a Gizka nest. It was harder than trying to find a living thing, which had a presence in the force. The marbles only reflected the Force, and so did nearly everything else in the room. He then focused on the smaller reflections in the force, trying to narrow it down to the marbels. He finaly cleared all the other reflections in the force away, he pointed to the first marble in one of the corners and then another near a chair leg. He then pointed out the rest of the marbles until he came to the last one, he had no idea where it was. He could not sense it, it was if it was masked by some presense. He then wondered what could be masking the last marble, he then shut out his own presence in the force. He then sensed it behind him and pointed to it. "Did I pass the test master?" Odan asked.

Odan put the book down and recievied his master's message. It told him to use the makeshift library to research the type or lightsabe he wanted and the from or lightsaber combat. Odan looked through the many holobooks until he found one containg infromation on lightsabers. He read the different types of forms and then narrowed it down to two. Form IV: Ataru and Form III: Soresu. He looked at them closley, form III was mostly defensive and usally made duels long and drawn out. While form IV was an agressive form of combant relying on a combination of power, speed, and grace. While Form III could block blaster fire better, but form IV would use the force to overcome the pyhsical limitations of the body. He then decided, the speed of form IV would aprotect him from blaster fire. He then looked at the different types of lightsabers, and tried to find one that would fit his style. He chose upon a Curve-hilted Lightsaber, while mosly used in Form II, he could ealy convert it to his combat form. He then took out a data pad and relayed the infromation to his master.

Odan Zurr quickly set the ship down in the hangar. He'd wait for his master her, and until then he'd sit here and read. He went down to the makeshift library, and pulled a holobook from one of the shelfs. It turned out to be about the old Republic and it's fall into the Empire. He read on hoping maybe to find some sort of hidden knowledge in the book.

The Ossus came out of hyperspace and landed at the Jedi dojo. After he landed he got his masters message. He then powered up his ship again and took off. he then entered the coridanties into the Hyperdrive computer and blaster off to Harrun Kal.

He tavled the galaxy in a YV-666 light freighter, which he won in a bet. He slowly learned of his connection to the force, and now heads to the Jedi.
