A thickened shroud of darkness had always routed itself within the core of the accursed sith planet, an ominous vapor that suffused the air with a viscid darkness of nearly unrivaled proportion. However, when one who basked in such tenebrous atmospheres felt the numbing coldness of this air, such as the sith lord who graced the planet with his own presence, an enigmatic riddle rung through the mind.

Why is this... different?

Could the inanimate dusts of the canyons bear a will? Could the sky and the air hold dominion? Such answers seemed trivial, yet this is what was so confusing. Suffused throughout the landscape were the faint etchings of a life, a renewed resonance that granted the planet quite the perplexing signature. It was the unmistakable mark of the dark side, yes, yet it was so much more than the mere manipulations of the force. These were more focused and narrowed, as though the planet were sentient.

Shaking off the notion only provided the young man's mind temporary relief from the echoes of insanity, for soon after he had managed to convince himself that further investigation was unnecessary, the silent whispers of the dust blew toward him. These winds were different, and sailing upon their currents came the deafening cacophony of laughter that only a mad man could produce. It was maniacal to say the least... the laugh of a monster corrupted by something or another. It was sickening, and yet inviting at the same time to one who would welcome it. Perhaps this planet would be interesting after all...

Just as Ason was about to question the mysterious entity that dwelled among the sands, an assailing laughter bombarded him from all sides. A torrential upheaval of sand escorted the tumultuous cackling as it bounced and echoed off of the canyons and tombs of the planet. Thankfully, Ason's ship remained unscathed from it, yet the drums of his hears could hear nothing more than the auditory buzz of being near deaf. Thankfully, and yet unfortunately, the sith lord was able to still hear thoughts.

You're dealing with one far more powerful than yourself. Show him our power... our strength...

You have no power... no strength... it is mine alone...

Don't think I am powerless, or you will soon find yourself regretting such a misconception.

Ason stopped such thoughts abruptly by succumbing to the noise, letting it envelop him and drown out all unwanted demons within his own mind. This being, whatever was inside of him, wanted him to fight when the sith lord knew power when he felt it. A sith craves power, yet at the same time they must recognize what fights they can and cannot win. Misunderstanding of such a concept has led to the bane of many jedi... who justify their suicide by claiming that fear is a mere illusion forcefully printed upon cowardice.

"If you want me, then come and find me"

It was a force message... a somewhat familiar voice... a tempting offer. Such a moment would most likely be one of the many times Ason wondered why a sith couldn't just give him something useful to work on rather than make everything mysterious. Of course, it would take but the simplest use of the force to distinguish and pinpoint the man's exact position... yet he'd rather just plug in cooridinates than have to endure the monotony of manually traversing the terrain.

As he got in the ship, safe from the pouring winds and grainy storms, the shuttle began to levitate off the ground. Such was a usual procedure, yet this time the sith lord's steadiness was being tested by having to do so with the laughter carrying the sands into him.

While looking for the man, all that the sith lord had to go on was the trail of the message he received. For some odd reason, it was as though the point had no origin, swallowed by the force. Upon examination, everything in this ancient planet dealing with the force was off. Still, the message was leading him somewhere... and eventually such a point became clearly evident to him: a hollowed column of rock jetting randomly from the ground straight up into the blaring sun above. Circling above it and looking down, Ason caught but the briefest glimpse of a figure immured within the earthen prison.

Recognizing this to be the work of whatever was wrong in the planet, the young man let the ship hover above the tops of the formation and spoke... praying that such an entity would hear him.

(GAH! I had this all typed out and then accidently hit the back button and lost it... *snarls*)

The winds kicked up again, threatening to throw Ason and his ship to the ground like little more then a rock.

My intentions are my own, and that is all you need to know Sith Lord. I control this planet, and you are at MY mercy, as is the man below you... But you... I sence more chaos in your mind then his... You fight a losing battle...

The winds died down enough for Ason to regain control of his ship, as the voice continued.

As to what happened here.... Much has happened on Korriban... There has been death, there has been life.... peace and chaos.... war.... and solitude... But what has happened here matters not, it is what WILL happen here that you should ponder Sith Lord....

The winds continued, dying ever so slightly as the ground rumbled and the earthen cage which Draken had been caught in sank back into the depths of Korriban. The voice again returned, riding the wind as it swept across the area, enough for both men to hear.

Seek me out within the depths of the ruined Sith Temple north of here... It is there that I shall explain myself, it is there that you shall meet who you are dealing with, it is there that you shall find your answers, and it is there that I shall give you what you came here for...

The winds died completely, returning the area to an odd sense of peace and calm as the dust settled back to the planet...but even then, Ason could still hear the voice inside his head.

....and it is there that I shall free your mind of this intrusion and chaos...

((OOC: I'm gonna be on vacation till Saturday, and from Friday on I have an engagement. So yeah”¦ Sorry if I'm a bit slow to post and if the quality isn't up to par))

A torrential wind pounded hard against the ships metallic exterior, the controlled movement of the ship suddenly being flung into chaos as though it were a boat drifting about vicious seas. Frantic hands flew themselves quickly toward the controls, the sith lord's every extremity finding itself locking into a familiar position as though reliving a memory not yet experienced. An iron fish clasped the perturbed throttle, vibrating as his knuckles flushed to a waned alabaster.

As the escort shuttle ripped and tore the currents of air that unevenly bombarded the ship, all that it's insidious master could hope for was a futile measure of control to be achieved. However, all that he found was the callused hand of Korriban wrapping its rough fingers about the ship's three talons, hurling it about as though it were a plaything of a superior power.

And then”¦ peace”¦

Finally, the measure of control that had been deftly sought by the figure returned to the controls as the howling winds of the ancient sith planet died down to insightful whispers. Each of these words, escorted by an entourage of darkness, carried an undue arrogance of preposterous proportion that would cease even the most jocund of demeanors. No”¦ not arrogance”¦ for arrogance was unfounded pride. What Ason Antille's listened to now was the will of shear power itself.

Draken breathed a sigh of relief as the stone abated into the ground. He looked around to get his bearings and then headed to the north. He began to run, testing the limits of the power of the Darkside on this planet. Harnessing the sheer power and force of the Darkside of the Force, he slowly began to increase his speed, his legs moving faster and faster. He passed the power of the Darkside into his legs and leapt into the air, his body hurtling up to a height of twenty meters.

By the time Ason's message had reached him, he was up and moving toward the Temple. In the distance, he could see the Temple as he dropped back down toward the ground. He flipped forward, opening his cloak and letting his body glide downward. Aligning his body so that it was aerodynamic he let his body float on the air, keeping it high above the ground with the aid of the Darkside.

"I need no transportation. I will make it under my own power."

He glided along for several moments before he finally let his body fall through the air. He waited till he was about ten feet before he slammed both hands out in front of him and pressing against the ground with the Force, easily breaking his fall.

He straightened his body and lowered his body to the ground. The slight crunching sound of the gravel signaled that he had touched down on the surface of the planet. He looked up toward the Temple; it would take a short time to reach it. He started walking and two minute later stood before the temple doors. He gestured at the doors and they slid apart leaving a space for him to slide in.

Several moments he stood within the depths of the temple.

”œSpirit, I have arrived.”

The room that Draken now found himself in had clearly seen better days. Equipment, once vital to the Sith opperations here on Korriban now lay shattered, broken, and strewn across the room. But beyond the broken machinery, the claw marks, blaster burns and stench of the room gave whomever entered it a clear idea of what had taken place within the room. Several sith had met their demise in this room, and in some cases their remains still littered the floor.

As Draken looked around in what little lighting there was left in the depths of the temple, the voice returned again, this time not seeming so evil, twisted and bitter.

So I see young Draken... And now I shall explain myself...

From behind one of the ruined pillars of the room came the faint glow of what could only be a Sith Spirit. But the glow around this figure was not like others, for instead of radiating the energy around him, it seemed to engulf it, and feed off of it. The face of the man who it represented was hidden in inner darkness, but the man's eyes glowed with a slight orange tint. He stood only slightly taller then a normal man, and seemed to wear robes that matched the dark aura around him.

"So we meet face to face Draken... As you can tell, I am not mortal, atleast not in this moment, a fact which shall soon be rectified by the higher ups among the Sith. My name, or atleast that which I went by when I was still alive, is Darth Quietus, a Sith Master and one time Dark Lord. But for now i remain trapped in the world beyond. I grew quite bored with being dead so to speak, and grew tired of the constant buffering at the hands of the Sith spirits of past... And so I quite simply destroyed them. From here on, I am the Force on Korriban.... There are no longer any more spirits of the beyond..."

Quietus allowed these words to sink into Draken's mind before continueing.

"The spirits which you hoped to learn from are gone from this place Draken, I now hold all of their collective knowledge, and I am all that remains spiritually, atleast for now, of this planet. However... your quest for knowledge shall be fufilled Draken..."

The spirit retreived a set of Holocrons from within his presence, not actually real, but a placeholder.

"Just tell me what you wish to know... and I shall give you the path to that knowledge."

Draken watched as the voice took shape into a spectre of the Force. His mind immediately started working and attempting to gauge the spirits power. It suprised him that a spirit would be able to do that to the rest of the Sith spirits. He glanced around the room, looking at the remains of the long since departed Sith academy. In the corner lay a skull and beside it lay the remains of a lightsabre hilt. So much had taken place here and much more would take place here before the universe fell apart.

There was still something at the back of his mind about the spirit that was confusing him. He decided that could wait until later, it was time for him to get his knowledge.

"The ancient Sith knew of ways to steal their opponents life force and use it to keep themselves alive. This technique was lost with the demise of the Sith Emipre. In the time I have spent searching for it and studying the old writings, I have not found out how it was done or even any reference to it, with the exception of a small mention of it that I found in a holocron of Bastilia about the disappearence of Darth Revan.

That is what I seek, the secret to their life drain."

The spirit nodded only slightly, and waved his hand over one of the many holocrons which he held. The spirit's attention was fully focused on the holocron in it's hand, willing the knowledge of the past into it. After a few moments of silence, the spirit spoke while it continued it's work.

"You have a question in your mind about me... You are confused. What is confusing you Draken..."

While Draken answered, Quietus finished his work and examined the holocron to ensure the data was fully there.

"The holocron is finished Draken. The skill of draining one's force comes from your own connection to the force.... As you know, there is the dark side and the light side of the force. This power to drain the force from your oponent comes from the ability to will the Force itself. To turn it from Light to Dark. In a sense, you must corrupt the force itself, and bend it to your will. You will then rob your enemy of his life force, usingg the darkness, the doubt, and the fear of your enemy to suck the life out of him through the force...."

Quietus tossed the Holocron to Draken and continued.

"...the holocron itself goes into more detail, and has the capacity to answer your questions. I regret that i myself can not teach you the skill you seek. You will have to learn it on your own, with only the holocron, and perhaps the words of your masters to lead you."

Tawny winds blew their dusty vapors outside, yet not one grain breached the threshold to the Temple. To say it was sacred would be somewhat of an understatement, for even the grounds of the outside dare not intrude upon its stony walls. However, a sith master had violated the temple and so had the force from which Korriban derived its current existence. Yet the two”¦ well, perhaps not Quietus... were all but oblivious to the entrance of a demon among the shades of darkness that laid themselves upon the walls.

The figure lurked in the shadows, believing that any attempt to enter the conversation might be misconstrued as an interruption. Interrupting a being of such magnitude would mean an ant interrupting a God. Such an instance didn't usually turn out so well for the ant, so it was among the shadows that he would remain.

And then”¦

Quietus's attention was suddenly jarred from his interactions with Draken, his eyes seemingly staring off into nothingness, but his mind was clearly elsewhere. The spirit muttered and rhen snarled slightly.

"So...Ason's demons still trouble him... If you will excuse me Draken, I have buissness to attend to with Ason. If you seek more knowledge, I will supply you with what I can..."

And just as he had appeared, the spirit dissapeared into the darkness of the room which Draken still stood in.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

You know nothing of the Sith now-a-days... And you were a fool in your time to belive yourself to be worthy of being among us.

The voice shattered through Ason's head, the voice of Quietus. The sheer brunt force of the message rocketing through the Sith's head sent him to his knees. And it was then that Quietus showed himself to Ason just as he had done to Draken.

"You are deeply troubled my friend... your mind has been taken prisoner by a spirit of the past... a spirit thought to be destroyed..."

Draken stroked his chin thoughtfully, that force signature of the spirit seemed quite familiar. It reminded him of someone that was close to him. He looked down at the holocron, it held the knowledge that he had been seeking. Tucking it away in his cloak, he bowed to the mist that had once been Quietus.

"Farewell Dark spirit. We may yet meet again, until the next time Darth Quietus."

Draken left the temple and began to walk, heading to a clear area where he could land his ship. He found one that was about one hundred meters away from his ship, then sent a coded pulse to the ship's computer. A short beeped code signalled that his ship was returning planet side for him. Ten minutes later, his ship landed beside him and he boarded it.

He went straight to the cockpit and set his computer to go to hyperspace.

He guided his ship off of the planet and into space. He looked down at the planet with a thoughtful look, then pulled back the hyperspace lever. His ship jumped into hyperspace with a flash of light.

"You are deeply troubled my friend... your mind has been taken prisoner by a spirit of the past... a spirit thought to be destroyed..."

An incorporeal beast manifested from nothing, an intruding aura penetrating from the schizophrenic entity. Many souls raged within a singular confine, the plentitude condemned to eternal obscurity. Ason could hear the shrill cries merge into but a whisper in comparison to the dominating roar of Quietus... the roar of Korriban itself. The sith that had been subdued in life had now found themselves subdued in death as well... and found in servitude to their unforgiving master.

However, a veil of blurred reality seemed to mask all absolute definition upon hearing these words. Such a veneer only thickened with each second, the features of the shadow drowned beyond futile attempts of distinction. All that could still be determined were the twin orbs of piercing fire laid into the creature's face, penetrating the blindness and searing their unmistakable presence into the mind of Ason Antilles...

No... this isn't me...something is happening...

Silence...

With but one boom of demonic proportions, the young man's soul faded into an indolent languor. His hair withered to darkness... the dirty blond locks falling to raven blackness. This was in no manner the same being who had walked into the temple, yet a mere mirror that which he had triumphed over.

The shadowy form of Quietus did not move as the weapon lashed out towards him, but when it made contact, the sickle was met with nothing, and continued through Quietus until it hit the cold unforgiving wall behind him.

You truely are a fool Orik if you belived that would work. Pathetic. And now go and take control of this Sith, what did you hope to accomplish Orik? Did you hope to exact your revenge on the Dark Lord? As if he had wronged you in some way? Hope has no place in a Sith's mind or heart. It was you Orik. YOU failed the Dark Lord, not the other way around. And now I shall save the Dark Lord the trouble of vanquishing you again...

The shadowed form of Quietus suddenly sprung to life, closing the gap between him and Ason with a deafining roar through the Force, the sheer power of which threw Ason's mortal body into the wall behind, enough to shake the entire temple. As his body fell to the floor, Quietus approched again, this time at a walking pace, and spoke again.

You're greatest mistake was to think you wouldnt be found Orik...

The Hell's Remembrance landed on what used to be home to her for a while and she exited the ship, with Cru following her...

She stepped into the temple, and instantly rolled her eyes... "You would think he would stay dead till called back... " she wasn't speaking to anyone in particular... walking further in, she stopped in the main hall and called out... to no one ...

"MONTAR... I CAN FEEL YOU HERE... SHOW YOURSELF"...

She stood waiting...

"When in doubt, Get the Hell out!!!"

The shadows of the temple long forgotten began to move just then, swirling slowly around Tarrian and Cru to start with. The shadows could feel through the force, for the shadows were Quietus himself. After a moment, the shadows swirled faster and closed in on one point, and formed the outline of a man with red eyes. The shadow man was as much Quietus as was the shadowy form that still remained infront of Ason. The shadow seemed to breath just then, taking a long deep breath before speaking.

"I have not gone by that name in a long time Tarrian, and of course you can feel me here... I AM here. I am all that is left here. I am Korriban"

The shadow knew the firey temper that boiled within Tarrian, and knew he would find little if any compassion or fear within her, even if Quietus did control the entire planet.

"I assume you are here, and looking for me for a reason?"

Tarrian smirked at the shadow... "This was once my home as well, and to be honest... you have work to do... so your time is limited here now... I intend to leave this place with you on my ship. You do remember that ship right?"

She stood there and watch it, since he wasn't a man, nor was he alive... "and you are right Montar... I have no pity for you. You chose to ignore the sith for so long to come back now... It is time you stepped up."

"When in doubt, Get the Hell out!!!"

The shadow seemed to grunt, and visibly shook it's head.

"I did not ask for your pity Tarrian... I did not ask anything of you. I did what I had to do in my time, both there as a mortal man, and here in the spirit world. It is only because of what I have done here that YOU are here Tarrian. But alas, I am ready to return.... And im glad to see you have not lost your spite of the world."

The shadow chuckled ever so slightly.

"It is good to see a familiar face. Much has changed, I can feel it... "

The shadow fell silent for a moment before answering.

"My remains are burried about 20 km south of here... One of the only tombs that still resembles a tomb rather then a pile of rubble, concidering what happened to this planet."

The shadow began to move, approching the two sith, then passing them.

"Lets get moving... I would hate to keep the fearsome Dark Lord waiting."

Even in death, Quietus' mocking tone came through as the shadow dissapeared out the enterance of the temple, towards the tomb where his mortal body lay.

Rolling her eyes, she turned and followed Montars... *cough* ghost *cough*...

"who the hell buried your ass that far from the temple? Why are you not buried under the temple like the rest? And why the hell am I walking... "

It was more then evident that Tarrian hated doing this... she also did her very best to stay away from the ritualistic happenings of the alchemy... but this time... she would do what needed to be done.

"When in doubt, Get the Hell out!!!"

"Hey, its not like I burried myself. I dont know why the hell they burried me so damn far away. Maybe whoever burried me didnt like me, i'll be damned if I know..."

The shadow kept walking, speaking over his shoulder to Tarrian.

"And I have no clue as to why you are walking, go get in your ship for all I care. Either way, im walking..."

After a period of time, they arrived at what was left of the tomb. He was right in a sense; the tomb did resemble a tomb more then the piles of rubble, but it was a little too close. The tomb appeared to only be a few large flat rocks covering a hole in the ground, with one rock sticking up at the head to indicate that this was a burial site. Whatever inscription was in the rock had long been worn away by the weather of the planet, making it un-readable.

"Oh what the hell... This is the kind of burrial you give a pet, not a damn Sith Master! Ugh. I'll be glad to get my body out of here, this is hardly worthy of me..."

The shadow moved around to the foot of the rocks and looked down with disgust.

Looking at what was left of the tomb, Tarrian contained herself from laughing outloud... "You know Montar... I don't know who buried you, but if you ever find out who it was... I would kill him if I were you... at least I gave Bishop a proper burial on our estate on Naboo."

Using the force, she began to lift the huge stones that cover the remains... Looking over at Cru... "So... this is what becomes of a sith master sure you still want to be one?"

It was more of a statement then a question. Finishing up the task, she looked at the spirit...

"So, exactly what do you want me to do? Not to be a spoil sport, but can't I just clone your ass?"

"When in doubt, Get the Hell out!!!"

"Yeah, well Bishop got the honor of having someone who actually cared about him...Apparently no one gave a rat's ass about me."

Quietus slowly lowered himself down into the tomb, and examined what was left of his body.

"Clone me with what? Last time I checked, all the places where my clone data and DNA were stored got destroyed or taken over. Besides... Isnt this just so much more fun to come all the way out here for little ol me?"

The spirit then gave what could only be described as a grin as it returned to examining it's mortal shell.

"Well, I suppose I could re-enter my body... But I would need you to actually jump-start my heart... a good blast of lightning should do the trick, just... try not to burn a hole through my chest... It's gonna be bad enough comming back in this without having a hole in my chest... Look! Im even missing my damn right hand!"

The spirit reached out and pointed to where his hand was....or rather should have been. The forarm ended halfway to the hand, and the lower half was definetly missing.

"Well... atleast i'll have the honor of being the first Zombie Sith."

Tarrian cringed as she looked over the hole at what was left of him... "Uh... I am not bringing you back in that... can't we just take dna from what is left of you? I mean really now... "

She looked up at the sky for a moment before returning her gaze to the spirit... "Oh come on, lets just get this started... I am not jump starting that thing in there... "

Lifting the remains out of the hole, she left them on a flat stone... one of the bones rolling off the side... "oops"...

"When in doubt, Get the Hell out!!!"

"Oh damnit... Nice job. Did you see where that one came from?!"

The spirit picked up the bone and looked at it, franticly trying to identify it.

"What the hell bone is this? How the hell am I suposed to know where this one came from!?"

Quietus sighed and just put the bone in the general area of the remains.

"And hey, im not so thrilled about being brought back in this body either you know, if you can even classify it as a body... Just do it you wimp."

The spirit stood over the body and slowly and quietly began chanting, just above a whisper. The red eyes that had marked the face of Quietus closed into slits in these moments. Then all at once, the spirit's eyes opened and the winds and dust of the planet began to kick up in a storm, and all at once, the shadow melted down into the body below it, seeping its way through the few gaping holes that marked the remains.

And there was a distinct change in the feel of the planet, almost as if the planet had somehow gone cold.

((OOC: if this is at the wrong time... then oh well, I g2g and I wanted to get this up as I can't save it. So yeah, here u go))

Pain was but a memory for the sith lord that dwelled within the body, for his incorporeal existence had transcended what mortals referred to as agony. His life was no longer bound to the finite chains which Ason himself was bound to, allowing the impact from hitting the wall to be shrugged off as though the event had simply never occurred. Silently though, within the realm of Ason's subconscious, a twinge of pain resonated sharply. It was a quite twisted work of nature, that the repressed suffer for the one who oppressed them. Such was life.

The caliginous monstrosity hovered imperiously over the temple floor, the twin suns roaring with their continued unhindered intensity. To one who knew fear, intimidation would've crept in. However, the spirit that dwelled there knew he had one upper hand now... one that would lead to his victory.

You're greatest mistake was to think you wouldnt be found Orik...

Yet another display of idiocy crept out of the ravenous shadow. Such arrogance to think that the fallen Kel Dor would be adverse to being found. In reality, the converse proved to bear far more accuracy. In response to the serene howl of the Dark Lord, Orik responded with a shattering warcry of his own.

Well unless you suddenly think you can overpower an entire planet Tarrian, you're not going anywhere. You forget, ive been here a long time... and If I have to I can keep you here too until you either give in or someone else DOES come.

Just as the voice died off, the winds kicked up again, even harder this time... but with it came a dull roar which grew louder over time, as the roar grew, so did the winds and it wasnt long before both Sith were forced to look behind them and see a tornado of epic proportions slowly swirling its way towards them, but within the cyclone was a large object, the object of which Quietus was making his point.

Stuck within the swirling tornado was the Hell's Remembrance

As if mocking Tarrian in a giant chess game, the voice returned.

Check...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The shadowy form of Quietus was indeed soaked up by the dagger which was bent to it's owner's will... But even in that a grave mistake was made. The reformed shadowly form, looked apon Ason with renewed vigor. It glared down on him in silence for a moment before speaking.

He was indeed a fool Ason... To assume that one such as me would actually put any of my own being in the shadows was a mistake. I am not the shadows as he assumed, I am but the puppet of the shadows from beyond. But alas my time has come...to...return...

All at once, the shadow once again melted, and seaped back to where it had come, returning the area back to the darkness....

Tarrian looked at her ship... and shook her head..."Montar... just so you know... the ship itself only holds sentimental value cause you took the time to rebuild it... and for that purpose I am here... not to mention you may want to put the ship down for when you are breathing again since there is a gourmet kitchen in there... and I am sure you haven't eaten is quite some time...."

She stood there and waited while he thought about it.

"When in doubt, Get the Hell out!!!"

Hey, don't give me that look Tarrian... You're the one who got all bothered by my joke...

The winds died down, and the ship was returned safely to the ground from whence it came.

Now are you going to give me a good shock or not? Think of it this way, how often does someone BEG you to throw lightning at them? And im sure you're less them pleased to be out here having to attend to my dead butt, so go ahead, take out your frustrations, your anger on me... I dont mind.
