Having been left alone by everyone else, Jarnok set his fletchette rifle out infront of him, and stripped it down, Checking its action, Trigger mechanism, its power core, and the barrel. Pushing in a button, and removing a panel from its stock, he pulled out a small cleaning kit, and set it down on the table. He pulled out a wire brush, and a small bottle, cleaning any residue out of the barrel. Picking up a smaller hand brush, he cleaned out the action, before using a special weapons lubricant to maintain smooth cocking. Pulling a new power core out of his satchel, he replaced the old one, and put the rifle back together.
Looking at the complete and well worn but also well maintained weapon, he smiled. It was a beautiful rifle, not flashy, but well crafted, and practical. It used a system of magnets to propel a spray of small metal darts towards its target, with a great amount of power. He also carried some other rounds to load it with. He had built up quite a collection of solid rounds, and even a few explosive ones. Sometimes situations called for a different type of ammunition. Solid rounds had a far greater accuracy in this rifle, and an even longer effective range. Explosive rounds spoke for themselves.
He had been using this particular rifle for a very long time, and it had become almost a part of him. He would have a lot of trouble replacing this weapon.
