  2. Scorpius hung his head in shame, but nevertheless, did as Master Darex had instructed. What the man had stated was true. Mage seemed to have possessed him to a degree that even Scorpius had no longer felt himself. Leaving opposite of the others, Scorpius headed toward the Temple's archives. It was a long walk, although tranquil and peaceful, Scorpio felt differently this time. He felt alone again. He felt shunned. But more importantly, he felt anger. Walking up to a woman, he questioned where he could find a few holocrons on Jedi who had fallen as well as a few who had faced corruption and survived. She seemed to want to question his reasons, but Scorpius simply told her that Master Trevelian had assigned him some research and she quickly pointed him in the direction of his requirements. Surprisingly, it was a rather vast collection. Most were on Revan and his fall to the Darkside and Redemption, as well as those who had followed him, notably one known as the General. But it only began there. It covered many over the millennia, ranging from Jedi who had fallen in love and became angered against the laws that forbade it, all the way to Jedi who simply did not agree with the basic principles and simply chose to walk their own path. But very few spoke of Jedi who dealt with possession save for one of recent days, classified as lost for the last five or so years. Scorpio began studying the file, noticing that most of the information had been erased or encrptyed as classified information, including the Jedi's name. Only information that the Jedi was born on Tatooine, began his training upon a Jedi Submarine on the planet of Manaan, was trained by a Jedi named Nom, and eventually went missing about a year after an attack on Manaan by a Sith named Faust. "Faust" Scorpius spoke silently to himself as he began looking up the name. He had heard it before. Possibly from Mage. But what surprised him the most was what he had found. Faust was a terrorist, sadistic and without remorse. But the name of one of his pupils rang a silent bell. 'Darth Armegedus'... a name he knew Mage once carried. Is he the reason Mage went into exile? Was this Faust guy why Mage became the way he was? Scorpius dug farther into the file, digging as far as he could go until he came across a picture of the Sith Master. That was when a look of horror fell upon his face, and a singular memory shot through his mind. Scorpius sat in the cockpit of an unknown ship, hurtling toward a watery planet as a magnificent sub slowly begins to dive beneath it's waves. He could feel presences, both light and dark within it's confines as he and his Master drove the ship into the water and quickly docked with the submarine, his Master hurrying him along toward confrontation. There seemed to be Sith aboard this Jedi vessel, a vessel that he felt so attuned to, and Scorpius held his double bladed lightsaber at the ready. Then it flashed forward to him gazing upon a Sith Master, known as Faust, and an Apprentice, a name that shot pain into his mind and sent him hurdling backwards. 'Yue'. Scorpius jumped up and ran, taking the holocron with him of the unknown Jedi. Scorpius remembered. He remembered, somewhat, of who he was. He remembered who had created Mage. He remembered almost everything save for how he came into this life. Gating across hedges and fauna, Scorpius reached out to his Master, and after finding, headed his way. Out of breath, and nearly collapsing, Scorpius appeared in front of Darex. "I... I... I remembered"
  3. Mage chuckled manically. Reaching out into Darex's mind, Mage replied. "Let's see if the child can swim." For Darex had failed to notice Mage's own attack on the boy playing amongst the stream who Mage had grasped the moment he felt Darex's release and was now dangling over the deeper and more raging part of the stream. A man could survive, but could a child? This was the question that Mage had truly asked. And yet, before he released the child and retreated into Scorpius' mind, a glimmer of Mage's own past shown through. And a face that Darex would know emerged. It was the Sith Master known as Faust. Mage went by a separate name then, as Darth Armegedus. It was Faust that had chosen him as a pupil. Yet, even in his chaotic evil perspective, Armegedus cherished his teacher and his maniacal ways. Traps for Armiena Darkfire and her husband. Constantly toying with the Jedi. For a time, he enjoyed it. It wasn't until his homeworld of Tatooine was destroyed and the Sith fought back along side the Jedi to face this new threat that something within him began to change, and seeing it as weakness, Faust struck him down. After revival, Armegedus went into exile until he came across Scorpius and their paths led to the point. What his intentions were, not even Mage revealed, only that he knew the man more than he let on. But as Scorpius regain control, he sprung into action. Without thought, he grasped unto the Force like a leech and before the child reached the water, he laid kicking in the young padawan's hands not realizing that he was safely upon the other side. Putting the child down, Scorpius gaze regretfully upon Darex on the opposite side. Why was Mage doing this? Was he even safe to be around? If he couldn't gain control, who else would be in danger? Still gazing upon Darex, his need for aid more apparent his eyes than ever, he waited for the man's reaction, haven't yet to ponder the speed he displayed. Yet, surely, he had lost his teacher this day.
  4. "I see." Scorpius replied. Taking a deep breath Scorpio opened himself up again. He felt a little weary about letting the Force take total control and simply guide him, but the young Padawan did as instructed. At first, it was a little difficult, mainly due to the common belief that most are mindless creatures who act purely on instinct. But as Scorpius delved farther, he begin to understand Darex's words. And amazed he truly was. The cricket didn't chirp out of instinct, nor as a warning of distant storms approaching. He chirped simply because it sang to his heart. And the worms, who did not simply eat dirt to fertilize the soil, but because they felt pride over the plants that grew from the soil and how their singular purpose meant life for everything from the plants to those who eat them and onward to the carnivores who ate them and right back to the carcases who returned to the soil and whom they themselves feasted upon. It was as if everything knew their place and felt content within it. Even the ants as the marched in straight lines bringing food to their colony knew they had a place among the galaxy and found bliss among it. But suddenly Scorpius felt pain, a sharp pain that shot throughout his body and mind, as if death it's self had came to stake claim upon him. Looking over, he noticed Darex's foot upon the Colony, but before he could speak a singular word, he drifted away into a darkened abyss. But outside, his gaze glowing turquoise blue stared angrily toward the Jedi Master, and before Darex had a chance to react, felt an invisible hand grasp tightly upon his throat. Inside, Scorpius fought to regain control, but Mage was too powerful, and as he squeezed even tighter, Mage simply chuckled. "Stupid Jedi. There was a reason I left the Sith, and you just proved my point. We humans have for so long thought the life of others, even those of insects, were beneath our own. The Sith toss aside the weak as if they are mere mosquitoes, and then those weak fools do the same to the even weaker like the mosquito. What they fail to see, is that even though the weak may be weaker in some areas, they are quite deadly in others. Remove your foot Jedi, and feel the bite of revenge as the surviving ants attack you... Or die here and now by my hands. Your choice."
  5. Scorpius sat there, his face still mostly covered by the hooded cloak he adorned, his face gazing into the grass as he contemplated on Darex's word. "Take the pupil over there, for Instance.." Scorpio spoke. "She was abandoned as a child, yet here she is finding peace and closure as she so openly shared. And the student next to her, a Senator's son, though slightly egotistical, finds his own peace in knowing that he makes his parents proud. Yet, little do they know that they are cousins, memories of her uncle, his father, proving this when she allowed me in and shared her life." Scorpius paused a moment, remembering his own life. His life was very much like her's, and although she had yet to learn that she was abandoned by her mother because her father had denied her existence, she had found peace that would overcome any grief she would have when it finally did come to light. This truly made Scorpius look at things in a new light his own self. "However, if she had not come to the Jedi as a child and been raised in the belief she shares with us all, when her story does come to light, rage and anger vwould take hold of her and her balance would be destroyed forever."
  6. Scorpius nodded toward the Jedi, following in suite as the two made their way toward a central courtyard, the newly anointed Padawan quietly letting his fingers brush nearby bushes and flower petals as they went. Since his arrival upon this planet, despite the few mishaps dealing with his seemingly unknown past, he had grown to enjoy it's beauty. It was a peaceful planet, and even though it held present danger at every turn, Scorpius could understand why the Jedi settled upon this planet. It held a certain balance to it, chaos of life as well as peace of a singular moment. Moments like this. A child oblivious to the Galaxy that he was born into, a Jedi watching the innocents of youth, and an war veteran finding solace away from a past he chose to leave behind. Having finally felt such a moment, he finally understood what a simply term as 'peace of mind' could truly mean. As the Jedi settle at the base of a tree, his mind still pondering the revelations of the calmness he was experiencing, Scorpius sat beside him. "I believe I understand." Scorpius began. "It's like the wind upon the wings of a fighter. Even with the thrusts of the engines, without the currents of the wind, it could not fly. The fighter must rely upon the updraft for lift and landing, but not alone. By using the control stick, we create the tilt of the wings to control turns and maneuvers, yet, which we could still not do without the wind" Closing his eyes like before, Scorpius opened himself to the Force. Yet, this time he did not fear it, but instead, chose to control where it led him. He listened closely to the distant chirping of crickets and other insects. Going a little farther, he listened a felt the innocence of Darex's child, experiencing the joy he was tangled up in as he splashed about in the shallow stream as well as the sugar rush from the candy. A smile crept upon his face, and a humble chuckle erupted before Scorpius pushed out even farther. Balancing the current's pull and his own control, Scorpius let his mind wander, first the humble crabs upon the nearby shore before bouncing about the minds of other training pupils. Some pulled away from him, yet others welcomed him and shared in their peacefulness. It was an amazing feeling to know others felt very similar experiences, an almost euphoria of peace. With a calm sigh, Scorpius retreated back within his own mind and opened his eyes. Turning toward Darex, Scorpio met Darex's gaze with a smile. "The easiest term I can put the feelings in to words as is 'Life'. I felt a community of similar experiences, each connected, yet not entirely the same. Yet it all came down to the same feeling. Each was experiencing life in their own way."
  7. Scorpius ponders long and hard on Darex's words, yet his demeanor does not diminish. "Cannot words do the same? Cannot Philosophy and Belief present us as who were are? Cannot the Force aid us in our defense? Cannot my gauntlets hold the blade of a lightsaber?" Scorpius holds up his Crush-Gaunts. "A Jedi should be symbolized by his actions and beliefs, not by the blade he carries upon his hip. And my wish is to never pick up a blade nor blaster again. I have considered your words wisely and just, with the respect a Master deserves from his pupil, yet I must stand by my own beliefs in this. The Force will be my only symbol and ally as a Jedi." Stooping down before Darex's child and offering him a piece of candy out of his satchel, Scorpius eyes briefly leave Darex's own before returning. "A man is nothing without his beliefs, nor is he one without standing firmly behind them. I can defend the innocent with or without a blade."
  8. "The honor is all mine, Master Jedi." Scorpio spoke, gesturing his respect with a regal bow. Whatever past was truly his, he was never without his manners. And for such a man to offer not only to train him in the ways of the Jedi, but to aid in facing the storm ahead showed the truest of honor among men. Perhaps there was more to the Jedi Order than what he originally believed. But that thought Scorpius back to something he mentioned before to Jaren. "I have only one request, Master, if you are to take me on as your padawan." Scorpius' tone turns serious despite his respect for the man remained unwavered. "When I left the Wilds, I made a vow to myself never to pick up a weapon besides my hands and mind again as long as I live. I realize the Lightsaber is a symbol of being a Jedi and have heard it is crucial to the trials. I, however, would still like to honor my vow and never pick up such a weapon. Is this possible?"
  9. "Me? But how?" Scorpius questioned, even more confused. How could he have another identity? Be another person? Especially with the memories he knew. Yet.... he saw and felt all these tings. Scorpius could not deny it. Rising, Scorpius dusted himself off, letting the last few moments settle within his mind. It all seemed too unreal, improbable. And to top it off, when he was being controlled, it was Mage's presence he felt, his tone he spoke. Perhaps this was Mage's doing, revenge for Scorpius having slain him. But why? Mage said he had forgiven him. Whatever the case may be, Scorpius knew this was the work of darkness, and as Darex questioned him, his determination grew even more. "I will be a Jedi, Master Darex." Scorpius spoke, his tone cold and serious. "I do not know what this means, what Mage has up his sleeve, nor if this is simply an act of revenge meant to confuse me or turn me. All I do know is that I will fight this, my way, and I will not stop until I rid myself of this. Do whatever you feel is right, but I know who I am, and no one dead or alive will be able to persuade me any differently. Teshu Karagari died on the battlefields of the Wild along with his mentor Mage. I am Scorpius Tenshu, Jedi, now and forever." Little did he know what the future held for him, here, nor on Tatooine.
  10. ((Sorry for the wait. Been pulling doubles at work the last few days.)) Scorpius took a deep breath, calming himself, and allowing Darex entrance. Despite the man's reassurance, he still felt regret and dishonor, emitting his need for salvation and redemption even more that he allowed another to gain access to his memories. Yet, as Darex entered, allowing the Force to guide him, Scorpius felt the calming power of the Grandmaster. It was peaceful, like this planet. Powerful, yet tamed and gentle. And for a brief moment, Scorpius allowed it to take hold and send him into a peaceful bliss as Darex explored. At first, Darex was allowed to view memories of Scorpius' past, mostly of his childhood and years later the hurt and anger of war. His life was full of pain, distrust, and misguidance. He would even view the time Mage entered his life and how the former Sith had taken the young lad under his wing and for the first time, felt the belonging Scorpius had ever felt. But then it turned back into sadness as Scorpius was forced to slay Mage for treason when the Sith used the Force to strike down their commanding officer over raping the daughter of an enemy soldier. Darex would be able to tell the troubled soul that belonged to this miraluka human hybrid from what seemed to be birth until the present. But something would fell wrong about most of the earlier memories, and as Darex delved even farther, memories of another begin to emerge. Most were memories already shown to Jaren as well as Darex just earlier. The battle at Haruun Kal where a young Knight gave his life in an attempt to end a war before it begun, fell at his own hands despite the void of the Force that was forced upon the planet the life of the then leader known only as Piccolo. Then the memory of the same Knight fighting a Sith by the name Yue upon Manaan's Eternal Vigilance in which the darker side of the Knight began to emerge. And finally a single quick memory of the Jedi Master Ara as she used her powers upon the Knight to calm the unique Sith Poison. Suddenly Scorpius' eyes shot open, glowing vibrantly turquoise as a voice other than Scorpius spoke from within. "Stop! It is not time for him to remember this. You have dug too deep Jedi." And just as quick as it came, Scorpius fell limp and Darex was forced from his mind before his eyes returned to normal. Without a word, only fear in his eyes, Scorpius gazed upon Darex. He saw as well and felt it this time. He was more confused now than ever.
  11. Scorpius listened closely to what Darex had to say, weighing each option as he presented them. The first he agreed with. It would take too long for it to pan out, whether it be physical or psychological. Something was definitely amiss here, and the sooner they found out, the sooner Scorpius could find out what it was. ANd in truth, within the recess of his mind, Scorpius couldn't help but feel that Mage had his hands all over this. He felt a sense of betrayal now, sensing that this may have been the reason Mage sent him to train in his sensitivity, or even perhaps why Mage had taken him under his wing so long ago. And that sickened Scorpius. However, Scorpius didn't like the idea of another invading his mind, learning all there was to know about Scorpius. There were certain parts of his past that he would like to keep buried, actions that he held regret and sought redemption over that he didn't feel comfortable revealing to a complete stranger. He was not proud of things he had done, was ordered to do. And he didn't like the idea of possibly being judged for such things. It was a time of war, and in war, sacrifices were made. Or so he had always forced himself to remember and believe. But nonetheless, Scorpius knew he needed to find out, and despite what Darex would learn, Scorpius was willing to take that chance to find the knowledge behind the unknowing. With a sigh, he answered. "I will allow you to enter my mind, Master, and search for the answers." Scorpius spoke, his voice echoing of his hesitance. "But i must warn you that my past is a very dark one. There may be things you see that you may not approve of, nor that I take pride in. War does many of things to men." Little did he know of what Darex would truly find within.
  12. Scorpius comes to, shaking his head, wondering what had just happened. One moment he had been trying to place this Jedi, then nothing. And in truth, it frightened Scorpius quite a bit. This Force business seemed to be way out of Scorpius' comfort zone, and it only seemed to be further realized at the request of everyone's departure save for they three. But Scorpius kept quiet as the two conversed, listening to the details Jaren gave to Darex, and although frightened by it, grew curious himself. Mage had always spoke of his being special, that his destiny was a trial in it's own right. But what did it all mean? The turquoise eyes, the ease in using the Force, the seemingly black outs that Scorpius was having. What was it that Mage had put into motion? "I truly don't know, Master Jedi." Scorpius spoke as he turned to Darex. "My past isn't much of grandeur. I was born out of wedlock between a merchant and and his mistress. I was forced to make my own way in life, which led me into the Wilds. It was there that I enlisted in a few militia groups in order to survive it's harsh worlds. And it was there that i met a former Sith who called himself Mage. He was the one who told me of my sensitivity and made me promise to seek out one of the Orders in order to train in my gift. I chose to seek out the Jedi, which led me here. I'm as oblivious to the rest as you are." There were some parts Scorpius left out, such as his true name. But to Scorpius, they were of little meaning.
  13. "I see. It's highly possibly." Scorpius said looking back toward Darex at a distance. But that wasn't the feeling he had gotten from it. He had seen this man in his past, as if he had been there during a pivotal and crucial moment in his life, yet could not focus it. Deeply Scorpius searched his memories, staring onward at Darex attentively, focusing on that sole escaping memory. And it was in that moment that Scorpius eyes glimmered turquoise once again for all to see, rolling across his irides like the sun's reflection upon a distant rolling wave. And it was in that moment that Scorpius unknowingly murmured a name not heard for quite a long time within the Jedi, yet a well known name nonetheless. "Ara..."
  14. Scorpius said not a word as the two began their conversation, his mind still slightly lingering on Jaren's mention of his eyes. No one spoke of them before, at least until now, as he let the Force guide him. So it had to be a new occurrence. He would have to do as Jaren suggested and see for himself. For whatever it was, it seemed to alarm the Jedi a bit. He found himself quite curious. Settling back to reality as Darex addressed him, Scorpius nodded his head and politely replied in return. "As with you, Master Jedi." If he had been listening to the first half of the conversation, Scorpius would have known what it was they were speaking about. But instead, Scorpius found the man quite familiar, almost as if he had met the man, like a moment of deja vu. And as the man excused himself, Scorpius couldn't help but wonder if he had met the man among the reaches of the Wilds. He acknowledged Darex's request that he would, and as he walked off, turned to Jaren. "I know that man from somewhere, but i can't put my finger on it."
  15. Scorpius' subtle smirk quickly faded into confusion at Jaren's mention of his eyes. "What do you mean, Master Jaren?" Scorpius questioned as he turned to gaze upon his fellow hopefuls, noticing their own curiosity peaked. He had the slightest idea himself of what Jaren mentioned, as he had never gazed upon his own face while using the Force. All Scorpius had known was the intense feeling that overtook him, the calmness he felt wash over him, his ability to grasp telekinesis so quickly. Did his Miraluka bloodline have anything to do with what Jaren saw? Not likely. Surely if it was, Jaren would have noticed that small detail rather quickly. Then what was he noticing? "What are they doing?" Before Jaren could reply, a voice came ringing excitedly from out behind the group. If Scorpius hadn't noticed the voice as that of a child, his natural instincts would have been to pounce defensivly. But, although startled, Scorpius turned to gaze upon the new arrival. He had the look of a Jedi, but the child he held, so intent of reaching the ball they had been tossing back and forth just seconds before, said differently. Last he had heard, Jedi were forbidden to love, let alone have children. Perhaps adopted, as some were known to do outside the Order... like Mage. Without saying a word, he acknowledged his arrival and turned his attention back toward Jaren.
  16. Scorpius felt a slight sense of pride at Jaren's praise. A small smile crept upon his face just as the other's began to show. It didn't make much sense to him that Telekinesis would be his strong suite, but perhaps there were other reasons behind this. After all, Scorpius swore never to pick up another weapon since he left behind the Wilds, vowing to never take another being's life ever again. So perhaps this was the Galaxy's way of helping him keep such a vow. From what Scorpius knew of the skill, one could easily disarm and disable another with it without the loss of life. Perhaps it would be a skill he would focus more upon. Or perhaps there were other, unknown reasons that had yet to be reveled. Only time would tell. Giving a gentle nod, Scorpius readied himself for Jaren's test. For the first time, Scorpius felt completely at ease, his determination at discovering this skill apparent, as he opened himself up. He even went so far as to remember back to a game he played as a child, a game called "catch" where one would throw a ball to the other, catch it, and throw it back. A simply children's game, but none the less calming. This simple thought allowed him to open completely as Jaren tossed the ball toward him, catching it mid air with little ease, encircling his form, and tossing it back. However, unbeknownst to Scorpius, an odd sight would unfold as he touched the Force, revealing a rather oddly momentarily turquoise shimmer to his cyan eyes as he caught the ball before returning it. A subtle smirk crept upon his face as he stared a Jaren. "Now it's your turn." ((Is Onderin open for a Padawan?))
  17. Scorpius, surprised himself, found himself speechless, mouth wide open and jaw dropped. He hadn't even thought about what it was that he had exactly done. So when Jaren asked if he could do it again, all he could do was shake his head "no". He was too dumbfounded at the moment. "I'm not even sure what i did myself," Scorpius finally spoke up. "I only thought it, and it happened. is that even possible?" Nevertheless, Scorpius opened himself once again, concentrating heavily upon the plasteel ball. At first, it rocked side to side, rolling around in circles within his gauntlet. Delving deeper, allowing the Force to flow through him like water over his body, he focused even more. Slowly, it began to shake, slowly leviatating mere centimeters above his hand. Sweat pouring down his brow, he watched it raise higher and higher until it floated level and steady in mid air. Frightened, Scorpius broke concentration and watched the ball fall to the floor. "Master Jaren?" It was all Scorpius could mutter.
  18. "Lightsaber?" Scorpius' tone turned serious as his gaze shifted toward Jaren's hip where there undoubtedly sat his own. "Forgive my rudeness, Master Jedi, but i shall never forge a lightsaber. While i realize that the lightsaber is symbol of a Jedi's rank, i swore to myself when i left the Wilds that i would never pick up another weapon, let alone forge another. That is a promise that i intend to keep." Scorpius seemed unease with his words, his mind drifting off momentarily as he contemplated what he had just said. But in all reality it was the truth. He had came to the Jedi for one simple reason besides his promise to learn the Force, and that was so he would never have to use another weapon again. His only goal in his endeavor was to learn to defend himself and other's, not take the offensive. "I may use the Force to defend myself, but a weapon is beyond the question." Frustrated, Scorpius turned back to the matter at hand. Opening himself once again, he let the current take him as it would. But something quite strange occurred this time, something unprecedented in such a newfound hopeful. Rather than struggling to focus, Scorpius mind simply teathered it's self to the blue plasteel balled and yanked it clear out of Jaren's hand without little thought. In fact, Scorpius had yet to notice it until he noticed the feel of it within his gaunlet as his gaze shifted toward it in surprise. Something truly was out of place here. First, his resemblence to Mage. Secondly Mage having called Scorpius by the name Tenshu Karagari. Even the name Scorpius had mentioned, Yue, was a name Jaren would have recognised as Sith, though he hadn't been seen since before the days of the Gala conclave. But most importantly was the glimpse Jaren was shown of the Battle of Haruun Kal when the Black Sun declared war on all Force Users. And now, Scorpius' ability to use the force suddenly without thought, it would surely make Jaren wonder who this young hopeful truly was, if Scorpius even knew himself.
  19. Scorpio did just as he did the first time, slowly clearing his mind and letting Jaren's word's echo within, letting the soothing tone take hold and guide him. He had done so much in his past, unspeakable things, horrific by normal standards. But this was his path of forgiveness, his way of redemption, and Scorpius would do whatever it took to succeed. As his mind began to meld with his surroundings, Scorpius heard the chirping of the morning crickets, followed by the croaking of distant frogs. As fearful as he was, he kept pushing forward, letting the waves he felt take hold of him and find relaxation in it just as one would by laying and staying afloat upon the waves of the sea. Expanding his mind farther, Scorpius could hear the sounds of the distant waves, the grunts of mating rancors upon the beach, even feel the wind across the face of far off birds. It was indeed a peaceful feeling to know creatures at such an intimate level. "I feel it, Master Jedi," Scorpius exclaimed as much as he could with his morbid nature. "It's almost as if i am one with all. Mesmerizing feeling. I can even see the fleeting stars as the sun rises to the east." But unrest would soon follow as Scorpius' mind drifted farther away, flowing along the current as it took him. Fear once again settled within him, as if one floating on a river notices the roaring of a nearby waterfall. He could feel the stinging of a vibroblade tearing the skin of an unknown being, the distant mourning of a mother having lost her child, even hearing the screams of men as a cannon blast tears apart a hull and the vacuum of space envelopes their lungs and ceases them. Yet, despite the fear emitting from Scorpius, he does not run from it. Rather, he feels sorrow as he continues floating down river so to speak, hoping and praying his form floats away from the falls and back to a harmonic stream. "So much pain, so much death in the Galaxy..." Scorpius questions. "Is this why you choose to void yourselves of emotions?" Scorpius, remembering Mage's words, digs deeper into himself. Refusing to back down, he pushes farther, determined to find peace amidst the chaos. More death, destruction, and pain follows, but soon recedes as he feels joy of a family receiving a newborn into their world. Focusing upon that feeling, he feels his strength growing. He feels as if his hands seeming guide the river, like the fins upon a fish guiding it's body through the water. He feels his mind returning to Lehon, to his physical surroundings. And so does his focus. Mats begin to hover about, and even Jaren feels the Force around Scorpius spreading outward. He can feel the peace Scorpius managed to find, and soon feels Scorpius' mind lift even his own form as well as the mat upon which he sat. And for a brief moment, Jaren caught a glimpse of a distant memory of the one he knew as Mage. It was a battle upon Haruun Kal, Mage facing a being bearing the emblem of the Black Sun, the Force seemingly void upon the planet, and yet Mage nearly defeats the man once known as Piccolo. But why would Scorpius hold such a memory? That would be his question. Suddenly Scorpius opens his eyes, unknowing of the memory he had just shared or that it even existed. "I felt it. I felt the force flow through me." Scorpius spoke. "I felt myself guiding it. Was this my task?"
  20. ((Forgive my absence and lack of post this morning. Had a recent death in the family.)) "I see" Spoke Scorpius as he watched Jaren gathering his things. "I would much rather getting started as soon as possible. No time like the present." There seemed a slight difference in Scorpius' attitude, as if some of his burden had been lifted. But his ever present "doom & gloom" aura still hung stagnant about him like a singular storm cloud lingers above one's cursed head. Following Jaren, Scorpius took his place and as they awaited the class, sat down upon one of the mats placed toward the front. "I'm ready whenever you are."
  21. "So then.." Scorpius speaks up, a singular tear strolling casually down his cheek. "You understand one of my burdens clearly? That even though I felt at the time that Mage's crime was unforgivable and traitorous, that I held no right to judge nor condemn him, and in return, committed a crime of my own. That by coming here, to the Jedi, I seek redemption not only for my crime, but for my soul as well..." The way Scorpius leaves off his sentence leaves a lingering hint at something left out, and as his gaze settles upon the distance, his mind seems to wander it's self. There were many things left unsaid about Scorpius' past, some revealed in time perhaps whether to Jaren or another unforeseen Master in his future. But for now, he simply leaves his words at only such a small glimpse. His mind settles elsewhere, mostly back upon yesterday's events. If he was to overcome this fear he held for the Force, he would have to face it. And today was a new day. He was even more curious by Mage's words, for Scorpius to learn the Jedi's way and take what he would from it, to dig into it until it filled him wholly. Then he would see. What was it he needed to see? Perhaps today would shed light upon it. Shifting his gaze back to Jaren, he wondered. "I am ready to continue training." Scorpius spoke. "I can not let fear sway me."
  22. "So you saw him, did you?" Scorpius questioned, his gaze shifting toward the mixture of orange and purple of the rising sun. "I don't know why he haunts me so. I gather that is just his way of reminding me of my crime, my promise to him, possibly of the world i left behind." It was an amazing sight to see, such a sunrise despite Scorpius having seen so many like it after nights filled with artillery shells, the calming of a storm some would gesture at. But this one was different. It represented not another day, but a new day, and Scorpius drank it in as if grasping for his morning coffee. He turns back to Jaren, removing the hood from upon his head and revealing his full facial features and showing the irony of his gaze. To one who gazed upon Mage, Scorpius would look no different other than his ginger hair and cyan eyes. And this was something he felt would speak volumes. "You know, the wilds of Lehon are nothing compared to the Wilds of the Galaxy. Here, we merely face animals who act upon basic instincts. But out there, on the edge of known space, we faced things much more dangerous. Sometimes it was others, like our enemies. Sometimes it was in ourselves. We may have excused our actions in the name of the greater good, but so did all of our enemies. But lines were always crossed, and we would all leave pieces of ourselves on the battlefields. Wouldn't you agree Jedi?" "For me, it was my honor, my integrity, my beliefs." Scorpius spoke, his head sinking toward the ground in shame. "For Mage, well, i suppose you could say he was like a father to me in a manner of speaking. He had long ago lost most of himself in war. First as a Jedi, then as a Sith, and finally a soldier. He had lost his sister, his brother, even half his soul. And finally, when it was all said and done, he lost his life. And it was i who had struck him down. Over a man with an evil heart no less, simply because i believed that our superior's fancies were none of our business and him murdering the man in cold blood wasn't the correct path to follow."
  23. ((Sorry. After rereading that, i can see the confusion. It was Mage that struck down the commanding officer, and Scorpius that struck down his friend Mage.)) When Scorpius awoke, he found himself startled. He knew many of the skills Mage had been capable, but he never figured his friend to use such a skill on him. To use the Force to force someone to sleep against their will was beyond distrust. Jumping to his knees first and then to his feet, the young hybrid scanned the local area around him. It seemed safe enough, a few animal tracks nearby and what smelt like a carcase. Such was the nature of the nocturnal on any given planet. His head throbbing, Scorpius gathering up his things and headed back toward the temple. It was here he stumbled up Jaren deep in meditation. It was but an hour or so before day break, so it did seem strange a Jedi would be outside the temple at this hour. But more importantly, his encounter with Mage may have been witnessed, which truly worried Scorpius. "Master Jaren?" Scorpius spoke lightly, raising his tone slightly to make his presense aware to the Jedi.
  24. Half drunk, Scorpius had made his way through-out the corridors of the Jedi Temple after night fall, after everyone had gone to bed. Or so he thought. There was no telling who was or wasn't up at this hour, but Scorpius was oblivious to anyone who may or may not have followed him outside. Lehon was a different planet at night, sounds of the nocturnal erupting from within it's jungles and along it's beaches. And the stars, twinkling as if thousands of candles floated over head. Still down from his earlier experience, Scorpius took these moments to take in the sights, clear his mind and think. He had saw too many battles, lost countless soldiers under his tutelage. So much burden he had carried upon his shoulders. And in truth, he often wondered why so many better than he had died while he was left to live. Taking another gulp from the jar upon his hip, he stumbled in the sand on a near by beach. "I think i've had one too many.." He chuckled. "I suppose this is a good a place as any to sit." Setting down the jar, he gazed out toward the vast ocean. It reminded him of a certain shore leave not too long ago. Stationed in the Wilds, He and his friend, whom all but Scorpius knew as "Mage" had visited a marshy planet during shore leave. Scorpius never quite understood the purpose of their visit, only that this was where Mage revealed Scorpius' Force Sensitivity to the young hybrid. Scorpius believed him be full of wampa dung until he forced Scorpius to make the promise he now sought to fulfill. Chuckling, Scorpius found it ironic that the one thing he found fear in, was the one thing he would never truly be able to run from. "Tenshu". A voice erupted from within the near by fauna, quickly causing Scorpius to jump in response. Sobered up by the startle, Scorpius sobered even more when a ghostly figure stepped forth from the bushes and greeted him. To any on lookers, it would be a curious sight, for even to Scorpius, it was just that. "Mage?" Scorpius replied. "But how? Your dead." His silver hair swaying in the wind, his piercing turquiose eyes gazing upon Scorpius, a smirk upon his face, and a chuckle in his throat. "I've told you Tenshu Karagari. The Force is beyond our understanding, let alone philosophy." Replied Mage. "I see you've chosen the path of the lightsiders." "Indeed i have, Mage." Scorpius replied, still shaken by what he was seeing. "You told me to choose my path wisely, to let my heart guide me. And so i have done." A moment of silence passes before the silver haired gentleman chuckles again. "And yet, you flee from you first steps? Come now, Tenshu, I know you better than that. After all, it was your blade that struck me down, Tenshu Karagari" Anger boils within Scorpius. "You know the reasons as well. You cannot turn on your commanding Officer and strike him down. We swore an oath of fealty. You know this." Mage's face turns serious. "Such is the way of a Sith. Remove the weak, support the strong. General Talmas was pathetic, a rapist of women and young girls. His oath was meaningless."Scorpius clenches his fist, knowing Mage was right. "But you had no right killing him. You should have reported him." Mage chuckles. "My choice was my own. He would have never seen a jail cell. Nor do i blame you for my death. Such is the way of the Force as you too will come to see... But i am glad you will follow this path. It was once my own until... well you know." "Yes, i do know. Until Yue." Scorpius, spoke, his tone turning back to normal. "So, have you come to haunt me for all eternity old friend?" Mage sits down upon the sand, slowly lifting his form into a hovering position. "No. I came to tell you this: The longer you fight your destiny, the more dangerous it becomes. Heed my words, Tenshu, just as you did the day you slew me. Learn the Jedi ways. Keep what you will of it, and move on. For you to fear your power, is for you to fear yourself, a dangerous game indeed." Scorpius went to say something but was interrupted. "Now sleep. Tomorrow you dig deeper into the Force. Don't stop until it fills your very core. Then you will see." And with that, Mage disappeared with the rest of the world as Scorpius drifted to sleep, trying to fight it as he might. It was simply no point. ((Your welcome to have Jaren witness this))
  25. Sounds of kicked trash bins and grunts of frustration erupted through-out the corridors of the Jedi Temple as Scorpius made his way toward his room. Onlookers gave him puzzled glares and fearful gasps as they viewed the young human hybrid's tantrum. But Scorpius was oblivious. Never before had anything frightened him so much, had proved him to be so cowardess. He couldn't help but feel anger over it, slamming his fist into a near by brick wall, exhausted by his tantrum. This was a man who had led countless into battle, lost and saved numerous lives by simply charging into groups of enemies, not thinking, but simply reacting. So why had an abundence of feelings frightened him so? Surely he could block out such things by continuing his training? Feeling his mouth watering, he spits, staring at the ground. His friend told him that this was no easy task. He thought he knew the consequences of wielding such power. So why did he run? Scorpius shakes his head, puzzled. Nothing had ever scared him to such a degree before. Perhaps it was the moment of surprise, the unknowing of it taking ahold of his emotions. Like his first kill. That adrenaline. That survival instinct taking hold. Only this time, rather than unloading a full clip of ammo, he chose to run from it. Picking himself up off the wall, he made his way into his room. He needed to clear his mind. Reaching onto his hip, he quickly grasped a half empty bottle of Tarisian Ale. "Perhaps tomorrow will be a different day." He said after taking a sip and fumbling for a cigarette. "We'll see."
