  1. The transport ship had landed in the large, exterior service hangar. Numerous beings exited, being mainly of five races being Nikto, Vodran, Klatooinian, Gamorrean, and Weequay. The latter two were nothing but cheap, disposable mercenaries. Meat shields, as Caine typically thought of them. Nothing more than muscle and bolt catchers. They weren't exactly known for their intelligence, which was good in a couple of ways at least. One, they were cheap, and two, not smart enough to 'try' anything. Lucius gestured towards the elders of the Nikto, Vodrans, and Klatooinians. They gathered round the Major Domo. 'Klatooinians will be charged with general clean-up and stripping down of the palace as a whole. Get all the crap out of here, along with the old decorations. If there's a doubt, stow whatever it is in the lower halls. We'll deal with it later.' With that, Caine waved off the Klatooinian elder. Turning towards the Vodran elder next, 'Vodrans are charged with the Lord's personal security. His inner sanctum and area about his throne will be your responsibility.' The Vodran elder then took his leave. Caine waited a moment, his eyes lingering on the Vodran elder as he departed. The Vodrans were a particularly peculiar lot. They believed a Hutt to be an evil deity. With Caine being the right hand of their 'god', he was also treated with a certain amount of fear and reverence. That could stroke the ego. Lastly, he turned towards the Nikto elder. 'Palace security belongs to the Nikto. The Weequay and Gamorreans are at your disposal, literally. They are nothing more than walking muscular meat shields. Keep that in mind during your placement of their lot. Begin roaming patrols immediately and set-up initial guard posts for the time being. More permanent posts and patrols will be developed once we're more settled in.' The Nikto offered a solemn nod, then returned to his lot. The Major Domo had the most respect for the Nikto. Of the three Hutt-enslaved races, they at least held onto their native language. Though the Vodrans... you couldn't buy loyalty like that of a religious zealot serving his god. You just couldn't. Caine began to make his way into the palace. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As expected, the palace was a mess. Left to the elements of Tatooine and unattended to, the sand was literally everywhere. There was sure to be some 'wild' life roaming the sub-levels as well. With Westars in their holsters, the Major Domo made his way up to the great hall, where he assumed Lord Dordjooba would be. On his way up, he thought of a local Rodian artist that might do this place some good. He made a note to himself and his comm link chirped. There was a Sith Lord present and negotiating with the Hutt. Krath, a Sith Lord? Here? Already? That was fast. Lucius knew that they were still yet vulnerable in this initial phase of operations. How does one defend against a Sith Lord? He swore to himself in Gamorrese and made another note on his datapad. Hopefully, all would be well. Caine continued his ascent to the great hall, his pace slightly quickened. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The meeting with the Sith Lord was over before Caine even made it up there. Thankfully, it had been a peaceful meeting... and profitable. The Major Domo began to look over the specifics of the contract while the Hutt dealt with other 'guests'.
