Dray was abandoned at the age of 7 by his spice-addicted parents who felt that he was a burden and too expensive. They spent stolen money to bring him to Agamar, where they left him with an old R2 unit to fend for himself. He was taken in by a group of Wookie outlaws who taught him everything he knows about the streets and life in general. At the age of 12, he was picked up by Trandoshan slavers, and kept on board their ship for cleaning duties. He managed to smuggle Sqill on board with him, though. Even now, he is plotting his escape...

Here's an abridged version of the EU and RP history of my Character:

 

Time and again Kyp Durron has faced incredible hardship, and has emerged stronger from the experience, yet not unscathed. Durron's attunement to the Force is very powerful, and the restraint taught by his master, Luke Skywalker, could barely contain the impetuous young Jedi. When Durron abandoned his restraint and gave into his emotions, the results were disastrous.

 

Durron was born to outspoken political activists in the Deyer colony of the barren Anoat system. When their views bordered on treason, Imperial stormtroopers raided the Durron home and rounded up the dissidents. Kyp and his parents were sentenced to hard labor at the Kessel spice mines while his older brother Zeth was drafted into the Imperial military at Carida.

 

A year into his sentence, Kyp's parents were killed in a prison revolt. The orphan toiled away in pitch darkness, extracting precious glitterstim for refinement in the processing centers of Kessel. During his time there, his path crossed that of a mysterious old woman named Vima-Da-Boda, who told him of the Force and helped nurture his nascent talents. But even that contact was denied him as Vima was transferred elsewhere.

 

For eight years Durron slaved away with little hope of liberty, until New Republic representative Han Solo and Chewbacca were incarcerated by the corrupt Kessel government. Solo and Chewbacca shared a work detail with Kyp, and the seasoned youngster provided valuable survival tips to the Republic heroes.

 

Solo and Chewie included Kyp in a daring prison break that saw the trio escape in a commandeered Imperial shuttle. Kyp demonstrated enormous Force-potential when he instinctively navigated his way through the maelstrom of black holes bordering the Kessel system. Although their ship was drawn into the Maw Cluster, Kyp somehow safely navigated them into the "eye" of the storm, and a top secret Imperial installation.

 

Although freed from the Kessel mines, Han, Chewie and Kyp were again imprisoned, this time by Imperial forces unaware that the Galactic Civil War had played itself out nearly a decade earlier. Maw Installation was a secret think tank of theoreticians and engineers carrying on the late Grand Moff Tarkin's legacy of superweapon development. Sunken into the nearly inaccessible Maw Cluster, these Imperials had no idea as to the true state of the outside galaxy.

 

Locked up in the complex, Solo was able to convince the naïve scientist Qwi Xux the errors of her ways and the true nature of the Empire. Breaching decades of Imperial brainwashing, Solo appealed to Qwi's passion for life, and the willowy Omwati alien liberated Solo, Chewbacca, and Kyp, and fled the Maw Cluster in the installation's most stunning achievement -- the ultimate weapon-ship, the Sun Crusher. Once in possession of the Sun Crusher, the New Republic did away with the controversial craft by plunging it into the heart of the Yavin gas giant.

 

In fleeing the Maw, it was again Kyp Durron who instinctively navigated his way to freedom. At this time, Luke Skywalker was gathering candidates for his newly formed Jedi academy on Yavin IV. He tested Durron and was astounded by the youth's potential. The years of hardship had tainted Kyp, though. Having lived without freedom or family for years, he made a promise to himself never to be weak or overpowered again. This determination, fueled by anger and fear, brought Kyp ever closer to the dark side.

 

Master Skywalker's first class of Jedi students was an eclectic mix of Force-attuned beings from across the galaxy. Kyp was easily the most powerful, and he quickly grew impatient at Skywalker's pace of instruction. Unbeknownst to Luke, an evil presence had infested his praxeum. The shadowy spirit of a long-dead Dark Lord of the Sith, Exar Kun, resided in the ancient temples of Yavin IV. Seeing a capable youth easy to exploit, Kun whispered promises of power to Kyp and was secretly training him.

 

Possessed by the dark side, Kyp was determined to be the first new Dark Lord since the deaths of the Emperor and Vader. Filled with righteous vengeance, Kyp sought to end the Empire's destructive ways. Kyp confronted Master Skywalker on Yavin IV and used his dark side energies to knock Luke into a coma. Incredibly, Kyp was then able to summon the Sun Crusher from the depths of Yavin IV to use as his personal conveyance. As part of his maddened vigilantism, Durron ensured that another Sun Crusher would never be built by using the Force to tear all knowledge of the superweapon project from Qwi Xux's vulnerable mind.

 

Armed with the Sun Crusher, Kyp soared to Carida, the heart of the Imperial Academy. Kyp launched the Sun Crusher's resonance torpedoes into Carida's sun, triggering a chain reaction that would destroy the system. As he watched the inevitable, Kyp was shocked to learn that his brother Zeth was a trooper stationed on Carida. Kyp not only failed to rescue Zeth, but was the unwitting agent of his sole surviving relative's death.

 

Han Solo was disheartened to learn of Kyp's spree of destruction. Han chased Kyp down and confronted him. At this very moment, Luke's students at the Jedi Academy were able to defeat the dark spirit of Exar Kun, freeing Kyp from that terrible grip. Kyp surrendered to Solo, and although Han was able to forgive Kyp for what he had done, the galaxy would always remember the deaths caused by this young Jedi.

 

Kyp grappled with the guilt for years, dedicating himself to the Jedi order. He was instrumental in many heroic missions, and eventually grew to mentor several younger Jedi Knights. His exploits became legends to the younger students, who admired Kyp for his bold actions. Kyp even took a Jedi apprentice, Miko Reglia, and became one of the first Jedi Masters of the new order.

 

Kyp and Reglia formed an X-wing starfighter squadron of non-Jedi pilots called the "Dozen-and-Two Avengers." This brash unit was tasked with ridding the Outer Rim of smugglers and pirates, who were decimating the Outer Rim Territories. Kyp insisted the Jedi take a stance and bring the fight back to the aggressors. Alarmed by Kyp's proposed aggression, Master Skywalker forbade preemptive strikes and retaliatory actions fueled by anger, since such actions invariably lead to the dark side.

 

Kyp disregarded Master Skywalker's insights, and followed his own instincts. He has rallied a number of followers in his controversial bid to attack invaders. He even coerced Jaina Solo, Master Skywalker's niece to his side. He convinced Jaina that the pirates were constructing a superweapon in the remnants of Sernpidal, and led a strike against them. It wasn't a weapon, but a supply outpost that Durron and Jaina destroyed, and Jaina was furious at the older Jedi for his deceptive ways.

 

After the fall of Coruscant, Kyp helped Jaina steer away from the dark side, as the death of her brother Anakin filled her with rage. Kyp's intimate knowledge of the dark side's power helped, though his own aggressive philosophies made the transition difficult for Jaina. In helping guide Jaina away from the dark side, Kyp too was changed. He understood the power of consensus and the dangers of discord, and began working to assist in founding a new Jedi Order, based on Yavin IV. A few years after the New Order of Jedi was established, Kyp fell in love with a woman from Tatooine, and sought to pursue the dream of his own family.

 

Kyp settled on his wife's homeworld for a while, where they had a daughter... the details of this period of his life are sketchy at best, but his wife died of a rare disease, and then Kyp and his young daughter relocated to the hidden planet Caulderra, where he taught her in the ways of the Force. When she was 14, they left on an expedition to the planet Ossus, where they found the remnants of the ancient Jedi Library... There they stumbled on a young man that had been survivng there ever since he could remember... Kyp sensed that the Force was strong in the young man, and he took him as a second student. At first, things between the three of them were wonderful. Kyp and his daughter both had a new friend, and he was eager to learn the Jedi ways. This continued for 3 years... Kyp founded a Jedi Praxeum and began to train more Apprentices, with the assistance of some of the remaining Jedi Masters. The young man he took as his first apprentice had alot of potential, as did some of the other apprentices at the Praxeum. Unfortunately, the young man grew obstinate, seeking forbidden knowledge and power. Refusing to listen to Kyp, the young man tried to turn his own daughter against him. One day, in the Corellian sector, Kyp had to re-supply the ship. He came back to the Jedi Star II to find his daughter slain, and a good portion of the Jedi artifacts from Ossus missing.

 

Mourning his daughter, and seeking isolation, Kyp fled to the planet Dathomir, where he thought he could hide from the guilt. Then one night, as he cooked over an open fire, a young woman ran through camp, scattering the cookware about, and stumbling to the ground. As Kyp reached to help her up, he was stunned... the girl reminded him alot of his daughter, and he didn't know what to do. The girl ranaway as soon as he let go of her arm, but he decided to follow her. He found her, trying desperately to claw her way out of the grasp of a hideous woman, who could have only been one of dreaded Nightsisters, the Force-Witches of Dathomir. Kyp bartered for the girls freedom, which turned out to be a trick... the other Nightsisters ambushed him and the young woman at the ship, and a fierce battle ensued. After the Nightsisters were defeated, Kyp and the young woman left Dathomir for the Unkown Regions. Kyp learned that her name was Xae-Lin Ardel, and she was also strong in the Force. After what happened with his last student, he refused to teach her anything beyond simple meditation techniques. Not much is known of thir travels in the Unknown Regions, save for the fact that Kyp re-named the Jedi Star II to the Redemption, and Kyp finally consented after 5 years to return to the Jedi, and to take Xae-Lin as his apprentice, pending a decision from the Jedi Council.

 

The Council approved, but the apprenticeship was short lived. On another Jedi Archeology mission to the planet Ossus, Xae-Lin Ardel and the Redemption dissappeared, and the young woman has not been seen or heard from since. Stranded on the then-abandoned planet, Kyp had to live in exile for 2 more years, slowly accepting the loss of another young woman he cared for as an adopted daughter...

(According to the Offical SW Species Guide: Shi'ido's are shapeshifters. They can take on the shape and generally the physically attributes of most creatures. They have limitations. Their shifts aren't always completely accurate, so they also use psychic influence to make a creature ignore the mistakes. Their transformations don't encompse some attributes of a species. For example, changing into a wookiee would give the Shi'ido their strength, and fur, but not their sense of smell or hearing. Shi'ido have limitations, they can transform into creatures as large as a Hutt or as small as 2 feet tall. Vash's attributes will go from his human form, which he'll be in most of the time. General Appearance: Armiena Draygo is very physically fit, having strong attitudes towards strenuous physical training. She moves with an casual grace that indicates her wiry physical power and confidence in her abilities.

 

Markings: Aside from a number of old scars on her body, souvenir of her days in the Rebellion, Armiena's left cheek is marked with a diminished scar running diagonally down her face. She also has an unnatural tattoo in the small of her back: the Mark of Slaanesh. The tattoo has completely faded.

The visible armor, designed to protect the vitals while giving a decent range of motion to a swordswoman (this, naturally, leaves some vulnerability in the joints), appears to be plain steel. It's reasonably protective against blasters and projectile weapons, but it is otherwise unaltered.

 

However, the armor is etched with dermal denticles too small to be seen with the naked eye. Similar to the skin-teeth wielded by Earth sharks, these protrusions give the armor a texture similar to sandpaper. Like Earth sharks, contact with these denticles alone can cause wounds””simply rubbing up against it with bare skin can leave a hand bloody, and with the inclusion of ultrasonic emitters (vibroblade technology), it suddenly becomes a devastating weapon in itself against unarmored surfaces.

 

The metal is significantly thinner in some places, under which are laid the crystal plates of the breastplate that Ara-Lai Kaipi crafted for Armiena. This mostly protects the vitals and substantially increases its protection against both physical and Force-based attacks. The crystal gauntlet that Armiena crafted herself is more visibly merged into the armor's left bracer, giving it an extraordinary ability to absorb the energy from Force-based attacks.

Right bracer: The right bracer is equipped with a liquid cable-based hookshot, and is capable of being magnetized to a powerful degree to adhere to targets that the harpoon fails to penetrate (anything more powerful than light armor would not be breached). The gauntlet is plain steel.

 

Left bracer: This part of the armor is studded with the crystals from Armiena's gauntlet, bestowing it with an ability to withstand tremendous Force-based assaults. Similar to the gauntlets used by the Mando'ade or Republic Commandos, Armiena's crystalline knife, Kad'ika, is built into the knuckle plate to be ejected into an opponent. The blade is anathema to Dark Side users; those even nicked with it will experience extraordinary agony. Worse; through extensive trials with shape-shifting armor, Armiena finally succeeded in producing a gauntlet with a built in blaster. Upon performing an unusual gesture with her left hand, the armor's plates shift into a barrel-like form, in which Kad'ika serves as a core. The particles infused by the blade of a weapon built to combat Dark Side users, even grazing hits are debilitating to Sith.

 

Knees: a pair of razor-sharp blades extend from the shin guards, overlapping with the thigh plates for protection and to supply yet another weapon in close-quarters.
