Mechis III

The thrumming roar became audible, a guttural cry bubbling outward from the belly of the avian monstrosity descending from the void of infinite oblivioun from which it was born. Its talons spread outward in a fixed posture, malice seething through them as the nails whistled through the cutting air. The Shrieking Talon lived up to its name as usual as it swooped downward to the factory below.

At the helm was a confused man.

He landed.

He found a dark room and silently waited there for a while in utter darkness. The edges of his vision faded to obsidian as he slowly sank into the stygian stupor from which he would find salvation.

He heard the voice.

The voice heard him.

They'd have to find who they were as one being, two forces coexisting within one. The blood of the Alliance still rested upon their hands, and the schizophrenic entity rested with a talisman and amulet tangled together upon its chest. He would have to find out what to do. Because that is what people do. Sometimes they need time to think. Sometimes they need privacy. Sometimes they need to be left alone and feel the darkness for what it is... the misery... the pain... the suffering...

And they find a way to not only become that, but to surpass it.

Existence on a separate plane.

And from that, absolute power can be ascertained.

--------------------------------------([June 8, 2007 12:00 PST]])------------

The deep, capacious recesses of darkness laid host to resounding epiphany within the bowels of the planet's industry. There was once again that birth that had drawn delight from all the minions of Hell, rejoicing in their champion's renewed vigor. As his cloaked form neared the threshold of luminance, it appeared merely as though he were an extension of the shadows himself. His hand stretched outward, the dark side's own ebony digits spread and it was like the darkness it self was reaching it out.

Maybe it was the darkness”¦

With every ounce of sallow flesh drenched in the viscid darkness, the flawless figure glided toward the laboratories of the facility. He had heard the voice of Oblivion, and now this industrial playground was his to command. As the perpetual bombination of gears deadened in his ears, this sith lord placed his immediate orders for some of the projects he was to undertake to dispel this repulsive stagnancy that had settled upon an area of such potential.

Immediately, the subservient minions shook the rust from their mechanical limbs and danced about the facilities, getting to work on their projects. Their will and determination was unfaltering, the perfection of their ignorance displayed in the wondrous grandeur of their creation. Soon his own personal project's technological aspects would be underway, and so would the protection of the facilities.

Until then, the monstrosity entered the same ship he had arrived in and sped off to answer a calling.

Mustafar”¦

((Mleh, just checking up. Was going to wait 2 weeks from my last post here, but oh well. I'm bored.))

A bustling center of activity greeted the returning sith lord. Before the eyes of Ason Antilles, his vision was being formed with mechanical precision. Scurrying insects wove their paths through the construction zones, and though it was masked under the cloak of darkness, the corners of the man's mouth turned slightly upward at the sight. His ship touched down and his otherworldly form glided down the landing ramp.

He made his way through the hangar to the adjacent courtyard and stared up at the nearly completed observational tower. Soon the entire facility would be transformed into the epitome of opulence, and this tower was where one could survey it all. After climbing the stories, the man arrived at the place where he would oversee the work below, and from such heights, he began designing a project.

Mechis III was once again crackling with vitality as the droids' projects proceeded into their closing moments. The droid facilities were already beginning to crank out cybernetic skulls which floated along the sides of the academy's halls as well as throughout the droid facilities. Glaring crimson orbs fluctuated within their unyielding expressions as they waited to beam with blaster-bolt fire with the infinite patience of a machine. They were also programmed with knowledge of the temple to instruct the ignorant acolytes stepping upon their grounds. Their words were robotic as each of them floated toward their assigned areas with a simple statement: ”œActivated.”

An unwavering mask of apathy had been carved upon the face of the boy, his every feature betraying no tinges of fear, resolve, arrogance, hate, or anything else that would deem him as a human. In a sense, this boy's cold expression was reminiscent of Ason's own master, and it had begun to rub off on the sith lord as well. Still, even the miniscule spark of surprise that the boy had given could've gotten him killed if it were to give away his position. He was skilled at masking things, yet he had not been pushed to perfection...

...yet.

The sith lord glided toward the boy, the robes he donned merely floating right above the floor in a rather eerie display.

Glowing red flames extinguished themselves back into darkness and Ason's voice returned to normal as his eyes trailed the persistent boy. This one was direct, getting to his task in the expedient, unquestioning form of any other on this planet. Efficiency was quite the important trait for a sith to possess, and this one was making quite the impressions regarding such. However, merely getting trait through the task revealed only diligence and will. Completion would be a far different matter.

Ason went back to designing the figure he had become so engrossed in previously with the utmost care. The Dark Side itself maneuvered his quill as the thick lines of black trailed and formed the blue-prints of this next creation to be undertaken. The sith lord had already taken a datapad from the folds of his sleeve and given it to a utility droid to begin constructing the mechanics of.

This place is quite handy...

While the faceless entity proceeded to design the structure of his next vision, his apprentice had discovered a priceless jewel. Its radiance was nearly unrivaled and its shear value alone would've enticed even the truest to sell their souls to the devil in exchange. Heero had the choice to pocket it and assume a life of unimaginable wealth, but he chose the wiser path: sacrifice something tactically useless for something better. He knew he was obligated to create a lightsaber, and so nothing would deter him from that charge.

However, as the boy attempted to imbue the mixture with his very essence, a metallic clanking resounded outside and traveled into the boy's ears. Walking through the frame with an electro-staff in hand came a Magnaguard. Its optical receivers bore holes through their target, the ends of the staff beginning to crackle with a flurry of purple. Within seconds, the droid pounced with a swinging staff, the energy's coursing violet seeking to consume this figure.

THE PURPLE HAS YOU

These events held a sole spectator, a featureless demon sitting atop his throne with an instrument of creation breaking its frantic sketching to view the unfolding events before him. Such combat prowess as this boy had displayed was commendable to say the least, especially for one of such a young age and fragile profile. This was the power of the Dark Side, the slithering deception that forced underestimation and ignorance to those who viewed its master without proper knowledge as to the magnitude of their power. This droid was a test, one that the student had passed with relative ease.

Within the mind of the apprentice resounded a satanic voice, similar to the one that he had heard last coming from the sith. However, this one held no physical limitations and was the pure voice of undiluted monstrosity.

Good.

When the crystal was ready to take out and the echoes of his voice had subsided the flames would jet outward and seek to consume their morsel whole.

Approaching the wraith of a figure came the apprentice with his newly created weapon. His inventive usage of the force proved both prudent and satisfying beyond the potential of many students. Truly this boy held quite a bit of promise within him, and perhaps the fulfillment of his destiny would come soon at hand.

An assiduous eye measured the sleek weapon and had noted during creation that it possessed more functions than strictly that of a lightsaber. What these functions were exactly was information beyond his current knowledge. However, he was impressed that this student had the skills to produce something more than the non-descript, unremarkable saber that seemed to be found like candy everywhere in the galaxy. He had taken the concept and transformed it into his liking, and the sith lord would have to later inquire where he acquired such knowledge.

No words passed between the two until Ason allowed himself to enter Heero's view. His own voice shattered the quiet in the hall, sheltered from the roar of construction and the like.

The boy was developing a style all of his own, which was perfectly acceptable to Ason. If something felt unnatural, forcing it could mean devastating consequences. Upon sustaining what would've been a fatal blow should the droid have been a sentient, the aggressor disappeared from sight, but not before allowing the victor ample time to retrieve his weapon and prepare himself for the oncoming onslaught. Soon three sabers surrounded the man in a triangle formation, each one slashing away vigorously at their target. Defeating all three would be an incredibly difficult task, but Ason had faith the boy could do it. He saw how they telegraphed movements so easily before, so perhaps he would fair well. Perhaps he should've given the droids training sabers though... oh well.

"What doesn't kill him will make him stronger... lets just hope it doesn't kill him."

The droids had been bested and the boy that had done so now stood victorious over the heap of seared metal clumped upon the metal floor beneath him. His form was quite effective as far as Ason was concerned, and that would conclude the mindless violence portion of the training that seemed to be ever present within every apprenticeship.

Suddenly, Heero heard the voice inside of his head again. Reality faded at the corners until all in sight had become completely consumed by the obsidian veil, a blind darkness resting over his every thought. His muscles felt sharp needles of sensation until eventually they dulled to an unpleasant numbness and he was lost in this echoing world of sound and nothingness all at the same time. And the guttural cry resounded.

Vicious blows pounded the machine as its display screens shattered and its framing dented. This boy was taking to the task rather quickly, much to his delight, and had taken a pleasant step: not only did he defend his mind, but began lashing out at Ason's own. It was like taking your kid out on his very first swoop bike and him going about with ease, and then he tries to run you down”¦ that's the part where the comparison sort of fails.

The computer, being Ason's mind, now sprung together with a vitality of its own. Conduits sprang loose and miniscule sparks of flame burst into clouds of fire. Electricity rattled the nothingness and would undoubtedly send shocks through the man's system. It had come to life. And then”¦

Wham!

On the physical plane, a black figure with blaring red eyes socked the man in the face. He then severed the connection he had opened with the boy.

Tenebrous fingertips pressed through the welcoming sable shell of the figure, reality swallowed whole by the all-consuming darkness. It was a successful attempt from the boy to establish a connection undoubtedly, and yet now the young one was attempting something else. What was once a steady flow of raging scarlet soon became a weapon of the enemy he was now once with. The apprentice was attempting to kill the master”¦ clever little one. Inventive too.

Suddenly, the blood flow regulated and his veins felt the clips of pressure removed. Within the mental realm, however, the blood flowed out everywhere and filled Heero's entire being. Within the physical one, the boy was beginning to choke on something that wasn't really there. Gurgling noises soon filled the air.

If the boy couldn't prevent himself from being killed in such a way, perhaps Ason would have to find someone else to train.

((I"m back. Quick posts. C u in Cardia.))

The boy managed a chuckle out of the figure. He had survived, and had gotten cocky in the process. He was far from defenseless, but Ason going full force on the apprentice would've inevitably resulted in his death. No matter”¦ this prodigy was quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with. With that thought out of the way, a call to head to Cardia was received. Ason instructed his apprentice to bring his ship and tail him while he let Mechis III continue its operations.

The Shrieking Talon swooped down into the facilities of Mechis III at a startling velocity. Only out of experience did the pilot possess the skills to save the vessel from what would've certainly been a crash landing. The landing ramp hissed downward and a shadow descended to the floor below and towards the alchemic laboratories with as quick of a pace as he could muster. This figure glided past the floating eyes of crimson and past the utility droids scurrying out of his way for knowledge of who he was and what would happen should they cross his marked path.

Entering the labs, he found the most beautiful sight possible”¦ the chainsword he had designed ((Think of a smaller one of these http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/748/748504/img_3953473.html with a hole where the eye is)). Taking the talisman from his neck and inserting it into the mold right above the handle, the entire blade crackled with energy and turned into solid black steel. There was merely a red tint to the metal as it caught light. The talisman had taken much work to acquire upon Korriban, and now the polarity of its energies was reversed as Ason used the dark side to manipulate the entire process.

He felt the sword as the history of the silver talisman coursed through its every ounce. It was once used to heal those in the effort against the jedi, yet now its purpose was becoming corrupted. The blades began to decay the very air around them as the sith lord tested their properties. Within seconds, the table on which they were displayed began to crumble with a inky poison spilling throughout its structure. As the tainted area grew, eventually the portion of the table on which the sword of plagues rested gave way. Blackness once again resumed its imperious oppression upon the weapon as the shades of crimson glare subsided and the weapon's properties lessoned. It was a weapon directly tied to the will of the creator and to the talisman, and as such, it could be controlled.

Project Apocalypse Phase 1: Complete

Frame completed.

Transferring resources to defense production.

Immediately, several booby traps were placed around the building, each one mechanical in nature. A wall that would launch zenji needles, collapsible ceilings, a few trap doors to spiky ends, and disruptor sentries began manifesting themselves around the place. Quite nifty.

A trio of talons loomed over the refuge of darkness and technology hanging in the infinite confines of space. While nondescript in comparison to many of the other orbs, this gem's value laid far deeper than aesthetics. Open arms of atmosphere embraced the descending predator as the sole pilot returned to his home, a place of infinite impossibilities and home to unfathomable demons. Subservient, soulless creatures maintained their steady workflow as they attended to the whim of their master and prepared for his entrances.

*hiss*

With minuscule bombinations sounding at the unfurling of the landing ramp, a creature adorned in an all consuming ebon made his way towards where he was being called. Progress on Coruscant's construction was being fed directly to him via the comms on this planet, filling screens wherever he walked with live footage of the processes being undergone there. Soon its taint would extend to the stars as indomitably as this one, but only through work would such a task be accomplished.

[EDIT]The area took all the alchemic ingredients acquired on Coruscant's raid and poured them into a massive batch of liquid durasteel. Currents of vermilion were dumped into the mixture as well as the sweat and flesh of the planet's fallen. As a result, the mixture began to turn an awful color, and Ason suffused the metal with all the anguish and tarnish of the materials until it became nearly impenetrable. It was then shipped toward Coruscant.[/EDIT]

Feeling the presence of confrontation more than that of two acolytes, Ason quickly departed from his activities in time to come between a crazed figure and a volley of crimson plasma. Two hands rapidly flew to the beams of scarlet, each one deflected harmlessly toward the canopy of the structure they were all in.

Following such, the Krath gripped both of them with the force and began the manipulation of their throats, the delicate tubes suffering a tremendous grip as their entire bodies surely felt the strain rattle them. Palpitations of energy manifested themselves in concussive spasms that sought to defuse the situation. Thoughts arose to their minds with the sudden surge of energy, the sith lord refusing to waste his breath.

If you want training”¦ ask for it. Don't kill each other needlessly. If you don't want training”¦ die.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, the production of burrowing droids began and the frame of Project Apocalypse was placed in a private section of the hangar. Should one stumble upon it, they would soon find death.

Meanwhile, the droid labor force moved toward Coruscant while Mechis III kept the majority of the assault droids for protection.

Project Rebirth was being planned in the back of Ason's mind.

A secret art was being tapped into for the first time”¦

These metallic demons that were so carelessly thrown at the sith were a very poor choice for anyone in the position that this man was in. It was quite the simple ultimatum he had given them”¦ train or die”¦ and this womanish figure had chosen the latter apparently. A simple hand stopped the stars in mid flight.

4zb8c53.jpg

With but the removal of the wraith's hand from the exposure of the air, the weapons dropped down to the floor with a clattering. There was potential in this one, yet Ason was a man of his word, and death was the penalty for trespassing this far into the academy. The fact that he had made it past some of the defenses was impressive, for those were designed to take down jedi, but they were merely being calibrated. Surely their designs would have to be slightly improved and surely such an easy route would not be taken again.

Withdrawing his own star from his pouch, the sith lord hurled it through the air and embedded it within the man. Intense hallucinations and agony would be the result of the red mist toxins that were released.

Before the boy could comprehend what was happening, the blood from his system was suddenly draining through his every pore. Scarlet tears ran down his face to join the massive nosebleed, which in turn joined the fountain of crimson that was pouring out of the creature's maw. Flesh paled until this man was merely bore the sallow resemblance of a corpse. Playing with the blood, Ason began manipulating it through the force. There was still barely enough in Milenko's system to keep him from death, and all the excess blood was beginning to congeal as it floated in the air until eventually a short sword was formed. It was then launched at the man, plunging itself into his chest.

And now ”œMother Death”

Heero exposed the eavesdropper rather efficiently, rendering him rather defenseless. However, first he would respond to this inquisitive being.

A slight smile spread over the unrevealed expression of Ason's face, breaking the apathetic mask which usually adorned his features. This mind would prove to be quite the valuable asset to the order, another brother at arms that might be able to think beyond death and destruction and become something”¦ larger. As for the other pallid mess upon the floor, perhaps some of the talent in his mind would allow him to become a malignant force of darkness as well. While different, both styles could be used to achieve similar means, and that is all that the sith lord cared for.

A transparent azure beamed forth from the holo-vid, the creature it depicted bearing a striking resemblance to the dark hooded man that now interviewed the prisoner. His intent didn't bear any malice against the sith, and no deception laced his lips that Ason could detect. If there were, it would be apparent. Still, whether the figure was the sith lord or not was yet to be disclosed. Information was power, and power was one luxury that one in inferior standing need not indulge in.

Instead, a burlap sack fell from the ceiling upon the man, engulfing his vision in the darkness of its interior. It was quickly tied off by attending droids, their mechanical perfection displayed in their thorough work. This bag was then strung upon a welcoming hook, a loop of rope placed around the swooping metal.

Without word nor direction, the brilliance of these subservient entities was displayed by their rapid snatching of the rebar the Krath had trained them to retrieve. Sallow digits wrapped themselves tightly around the pillar of steel, his knuckles suffering from the pallid displacement of blood as his grip grew.

He has trespassed upon these grounds”¦ he shall be punished”¦

Two droids took up their own weapons, one of them precariously able to acquire a mace, and the trio began viciously beating the man for such an infraction. Blood dripped from the sack and this defenseless creature surely had sustained numerous injuries.

As they stopped the beating, the sith lord challenged the man.

((Milenko, I know you're busy, but we've got to hurry this up a little bit.

Judicar, if you are still here [questionable for the fact that you haven't responded to my PM], you might want to reread my post”¦))

The sith lord's eyes flew from Judicar's torment to the likes of the wise one who had completed his task. Being able to look at one who had just attempted to kill you and save them from their stupor was quite the measure of this one's logic. His mind could be truly useful in many different ways. However, he'd have to learn how to think outside this pathetic little galaxy around them, to not just merely know how to coexist with reality but to shape it to his image.

Ason's hidden expression frayed slightly, a mild displeasure in this one's answer. This one saw the carnage around him, but he didn't see all the history that was unfolding upon the very walls of the academy.

((Sorry if the post ends up being lame... its past 3 AM here...))

A tear of blood fell upon the pallid forehead of the abomination, unfurling itself down his cheek like a majestic red carpet laid out before royalty. It cascaded downward until it rolled down to the vermillion soaked tile below, a pale white cadaver resting languidly upon the floor next to the ripple. Sheathed within the corpse's back rested an ever growing blade, its scarlet contour forming itself out of the slender back of the feminine figure it was now housed in. Blood pulsated through the sword as though it were a living organism, vivid red carrying with it striking anarchy and tremors of insanity to all those that gazed upon the masterpiece.

Fallen upon the ground as well laid a dull face, hues once bristling with vitality fading away to a peculiar white. It was far less of a divine luminance and more of a sickly ash colored pool, drowning within them the memories of young minds and the hopes of a future. Silently, twin lids shut out the screams of those memories which begged with sonorous cries for their existence, only to have the vision around them eclipsed. While the blood-red vessels flowed with unrivaled alacrity throughout the other, this particular body lacked any sense of motion entirely. Everything had simply shut down.

((Subject to revision))

The recesses of Mechis III were inviolable voids of an unfamiliar darkness, a shade where ebon wings sheltered its disciples in its steel feathers and where the restless found refuge. Even while the planet bristled with an artificial vitality on the surface, and while its shipyards gave birth to incipient war machines by the minute, there was a calm to be had in those cracks in reality that only the hardest of hearts slip into. They were breaks in time. Fault lines beneath the sea of metal and war. In these chasms, things far greater than a machines arose. This blackness forged warriors.

I am a warrior.

Emerging from this portal into another realm came a dark figure, one that the starry eyed galaxy had gazed at in horror before. He had washed streets with blood and bent physics at his whim. One could note that, even while he walked outward, his feet barely seemed to touch the ground, deftly defying the limitations of his human form. His footsteps were choked by the thick silence that followed him, an aura of reverence surrounding the demonic sorcerer as the planet paid its silent homage to his dominion.

During the course of his noiseless ascent to the oppressive light on the surface, the wraith's thoughts separated themselves from the abyss to which they had bonded. It was an unsettling process, a man having melded to an abstract so completely only to tear himself back into individuality.

Or some form of it at least”¦

Plans had been drawn in his head that now etched themselves into schematics and blue prints. Lights in the alchemy lab flickered like a weary warrior's eyes waking to a new day, his gaze finally sharpened and resolute as he welcomed the challenge of a new battle. Glistening in their newfound luminance rested the lost armory of another age. Lying in ancient repose gleamed the means to realize a maniac's darkest nightmares and wildest fantasies. It would suffice.

Wasting not a second, attending droids began to quickly snapp to their silently communicated tasks. A mere gaze at the three blue prints were all that were required for the subservient little machines. Now they were back in business thanks to the return of a nearly forgotten terror. The Sith would rise again.

Ason Antilles, at your service.

---------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------={Next Post: May 01, 2008}=-----------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------

The Creator focused his efforts on the first suit as the mechanical fiends danced around the lab, their splendid precision retained despite the scrambling chaos of the scene. Optical receptors seemed to brighten with wonder as the single minded swarm pounced and consumed their tasks with all the efficiency they were designed to do so with. A flash of approval would've crept across the Krath's unwavering expression if he had not been duplicating their movements himself, his wild form swishing throughout the area. His past months were not those of indolence and languish, yet sharpening and refining. This was more than the redundant creation of more mundane alchemy. This was”¦ Rejuvenation.

He began with a suit he was specially creating for someone whom he had met within Coruscant's libraries, a palace of knowledge burnt and ravaged by the known devils who had descended upon it. It was right after Ason had scored his most prestigious kill, a master with years of experience falling to the abyss at his hands. Reminiscence on that period of his life bore some nostalgia, the sadistic pride spurring a smile.

On to the task at hand.

An old cloak fell into the arms of the master-craftsman as he called for it, feeling every thread in his hands and in his mind. He traveled down every string of black and traversed its flittering terrain with his pallid tips. Such umbrage had denied his skin sunlight and waned his tone somewhat, presenting a starker contrast against the mantle than any other he had been familiar with.

He'd require a few special items in order to turn this ordinary ingredient into something new, something fresh with potential. Thankfully, such an item was being produced in the air as they spoke. It was not being purposely created, yet the byproduct of one weapon's construction could lead to the birth of another. This was the beauty of transcendence.

Hissing accompanied the sith lord as took the lift to the suffocating surface of Mechis III, a billowy smog swallowing it whole as the facilities churned out more and more allies for the War on Terror (in Terror's defense of course). Its stench was intoxicating as the Krath's pores felt the touch of stained air in them. Such a lovely feeling after being numbed to everything for such an excess amount of time, wouldn't you agree? Such an aroma and feeling reminded him of the battlefield, a sadly foreign arena to him at this point. He would relive that memory soon enough if he had say in it.

An outstretched hand touched orange sky as streaks of smoke flew to his fingertips, the blackest of coals paling against the pollution within his tenebrous grasp. Vapors and gases condensed over his flesh to form an inky substance. Its bad slick, oily feel was cold and inviting all at the same time.

Just like that, the sorcerer descended back into the recesses with a tarry substance enveloping his fist, drips of the ingredient falling nearly to the ground before they rocketed back into the mass from which they had been born, Ason's mastery not letting one drop escape him. Such an effect eventually led to a swirling storm of the material flying around his arm in quite the eldritch fashion. Feats of such physical impossibility had become common place around such a figure and often went unappreciated due to both their frequency and lack of an audience. Utility droids weren't exactly an ideal crowd for phenomena.

Picking up the robe now, the artist watched as the tainted substance on his arm bonded with its every fiber. It was more than just coating the cloak. It was melding with it, just as the dark one had done so with the dark side for his abscence. Seething throughout the once solid black robe was now a smoky haze, a nebulous mist contained in its surface that appeared as though the eye of a storm was about to crackle into reality. Such a tempest could be instantly calmed for stealth reasons should the wearer require, yet it would take somewhat conscious effort to do so.

[OOC: I am in the process of compiling an extensive document containing all information pertaining to the planet's current/future defenses and capabilities. This post may be shorter, but have no fear that I have nearly 3 pages of description already, and I have PLENTY more to add. Expect more things to come.]

Rebirth

The planet began buzzing to life, cranking out what needed to be cranked out and fortifying according to the specs that its master had designed.

-Project Resurrection resumed

-Project Armageddon abandoned and resources diverted to other projects.

-Project Think Tank resumed

-Fortifications underway

-Materials for Project Black gathered

-Relocation of special items in process

-Production of all combat models resumed

-Production of clones resumed in incredibly limited capacity, much of the wing being reconstructed to accommodate for increased droid production capacity

-Project Extermination abandoned. Prototypes scattered throughout base to supplement security patrols

-Exterior wall under construction

-Shipyards under construction

-Materials gathered for Project Nexu

-Project Bullet prototypes undergoing testing and calibrating

-Pit being constructed and temporary subjects gathered

[OOC: I am unaware of the current state of the shipyards (whether they have been rebuilt since the Arach'tar's invasion). If they are already there, I will edit my post accordingly to have them producing some more crap.]

The master craftsman landed in the hangar with precious little time on his hands, perhaps reflective of his writer's own predicament lately. As such, his actions all contained both an air of immediacy and of basic necessity, the two factors of whose product was nearly invariably brevity. This planet's surface had all but been transformed, facilities having scurried to find their eventual homes, seeds scattered into their final planting boxes. Oh, the growth that had been fostered by those metallic caretakers, nurtured by the smog of industry. An aroma that was pleasing to the Lord.

Ason's first task was the alchemic creation of sith metal, a necessity for Project Nexu. Molds had already been designed to his specifications in his absence, yet they were not complete without the artist's touch. Implements of his craft flew to the fine hands of the sith lord as he entered the alchemy labs and began chiseling into the molds specific sith markings. The significance of such ornate symbols would undoubtedly be lost on the plebian fools who attempted to comprehend them, but their value lied more in their function than their fancy.

He now walked off to a cage and engaged in an act that he would undoubtedly recall at a bit later date in time in significant detail. Nonetheless, he took the acquired alchemic regents and mixed them with the hot liquid metal, pouring out the dark side to fuse them all together into one final product. This concoction would be poured into the molds to make the project a reality.

Next was Project Black, not at all affiliated with the ex-emperor who claimed the same name. As had been requested, his droids had collected for him a large amount of the dark waters of Ambria's infamous lake. Once again working in a fury, Ason poured the energies into specific containers he himself had designed, twisting the nature of all involved until they became one.

Project Ressurection had been started and the groundwork had been laid. The dark lord spared a bit more of his blood toward the project, but further preparation would require the acquisition of more diverse resources. Inside the mind of the man, the beast licked its lips.

The Pit would require a different sort of outside resources to complete, but would nonetheless function just fine. After all things that needed taken care of were so taken care of, the young man blasted off to a planet he had never known before.

Meanwhile, droids blasted off to deliver the crystals to Coruscant that they had just obtained.

And Ason shrunk back into the oblivion of space.

Not alone.

Never.

Approaching Planet. Analyzing data. Code Green. Uplink to Mechis III servers.

Link successful. (Eyes flicker)

Resume course toward hangar.

Hangar doors open. Land in designated area A1-1.

Reinforcements scrambled. Alerted of lifeform's presence. Placing traps on level 2 to medium readiness.

...

Landing successful. Escort lifeform to Culling Grounds. Allocate leftovers of Project Extermination to the underground pursuit of the creature.

Landing ramp extended. Directions:

"If you wish to aid the master, you should follow us to the Culling Grounds. You will receive a neural implant that will allow you to interface with the program."

Priority 1: Ensure safety of Mechis III facilities. Self-preservation

Priority 2: Implant neural implant and resume the Culling Grounds construct

Priority 3: Contact Lord Ason on what is transpire. Inquire the master's recommended course of action.

An ocean of white bathed the maculate form of the acolyte, the existence of such a dark splotch on the pristine horizon bleeding crimson from the wound, two sanguine trails flowing down into the oblivion. Such repugnance flowed over every pore, every fiber of the man who was now staring at the blank frame of the construct. Ason had always found this particular frame the most unsettling, prompting him oftentimes to have a preloaded location ready for him should he decide to test the system. However, word had not yet been received on what to do, so the thoughtcasts and locations were to be hidden until the word was given to”¦

Transform

Oil sprung from the surface of the man's robes, a tar spreading over the endless fields and marring the landscape. This ebon shade seemed to fall into cracks and crevices in a manner that formed the outlines of buildings and people. Never would the two opposite ends of the spectrum meet: the white of the land formed the base of the many shapes while the blackness comprised the outlines and shadows. In the end, what was depicted resembled a monotonous mess with but one possible description: a Mad World. It was with but one defiant color showing proudly in the face of conformity, an ardent sanguine refusing the advance.

It was once the landscape was fully realized that the acoustics of this new world were rattled by a thunderous voice spawned from the cumulous forms of darkness that swirled into the sky above. It was like a clap of thunder proceeding after the lightning had blazed through. It was the incarnation of all the evil that had been felt on Mechis III as well as on Coruscant. It was not human.
