Talon and Zee entered hyperspace. He and his droid caught up, each telling what the other had been doing. The trip was long and quiet; Talon was used to Ryoo asking questions or telling jokes. But other than the bleep bleep of Talon's counterpart, there was nothing else.

After several hours, the two arrived at their destination. Talon pulled the craft out of hyperspace, and stood awed by the scene in front of him. Before an elegant, beautiful planet swirled in its endless revolutions, not caring about its inhabitants or what came and went. But now, all that sat was a barren maze. Asteroids and chunks of rock. Everything was gone, destroyed by the Arach'Tar. Well... almost everything. A bleep appeared on his screen. On Zee's previous visit, he had tagged Talon's target with a homing device. Now the device was beeping steadily, giving away his prey's position. Talon could barely contain himself. He went faster and faster, zipping around rock and metal, until finally he saw it. In his front viewport sat a tattered and dilapadated ship. It somehow survived the destructive wake, and now floated as if on its own will. Talon smiled. Finally... The Excalibur.

Talon breathed heavily in the space suit. Even thought the two ships were yards apart, it felt like forever getting to the shuttle. When Talon finally reached the wreckange, the progress to the hatch was painstakingly slow. Talon made a mental note to get a better suit later. After a quick survey of the hatch, he found that the ship normally required a security code and body scan to allow its occupant, but time had worn away at the once state of the art systems, and the hatch came open with a hard tug. Air rushed out, but most everything else was secured.

Talon looked around. The ship was surprisingly clean and well kept. Obviously, the battle had only affected the exterior of the ship. Talon closed the hatch with a loud bang, and opened a comm with the other ship. "You read me Zee?" The droid beeped an affirmative. Talon moved to the front seat. He took a seat. Orion... this is for you.

He activated a few switches, and the ship puttered to life. Talon smiled. He didn't want to risk a hyperspace jump in the wrecked ship, but Dagobah was close enough to go at sub-light. He powered up the ship, and Zee piloted the fighter close behind. Soon they'd be back. But now Talon wanted to look around. He exited the cockpit. The rear of the ship contained a small living quarters that included a bunk, couch, cooking unit, and small refresher. Going past that, he found a rack that held a bunch of weapons, that amzingly were still new. This wreckage wasn't old. Orion had only been dead a couple of months. After a quick inspection, Talon turned to go back to the c0ckpit...

And he found something he never expected to find.

Before Talon sat a figure shrouded in blue mist. He was there, yet he wasn't. He recognized the man almost immediately, for their were few differences between the two. It was Orion... the ghost of Talon's clone. Orion stood, smiling.

"I was wondering when you would get here..."

The two started towards each other, and reached out, but when the two touched, Orion dissapeared. And suddenly thousands of images, sounds, feelings, entered Talon's mind. The overwhelming flood of thoughts knocked Talon unconcious.

Talon sat in his ship Excaliburwith Zee as it zipped through hyperspace. He had finsihed his battle armor, and now sat in deep meditation.

I was born to be a constant protector in this galaxy of darkness. I was made to serve. The Jedi have started me off- given me the knowledge and power to do what I must; but now I must go on alone. I can not rely on them any longer.

Talon's eyes flashed open with new determination. Although he would always be an ally to all that was good, Talon was no longer a Jedi. He was no longer anything; but a Crusader. Somewhere across the galaxy, a certain Master Cloner, smiled. It is done. The two have become one. Their two powers united. Our project is complete...

Talon's acquired freighter traveled through hyperspace to a seemingly random location, but when he dropped out at his destination, a gleaming Kaminoan battleship/science facility floated through space. The ship belonged to Master Cloner and his crew. These Kaminoans and humans were the closest thing he had to a family. He docked without problem, and went to greet the captain of the ship. He was here for a ship. Master Cloner welcomed him warmly as he always did, but Talon could only visit briefly, as the Kaminoan ship had business elsewhere. As Talon left, the Kaminoans, who somehow already knew when he needed something, introduced him to his new ship. It's sleek hull gleamed in the hangar light. The inside was warm and welcoming, but ready to unleash its full wrath. It was almost an exact replica of his old assault shuttle, but with a few upgrades and new systems. Along the hull read the words Excalibur II. After a quick boarding of his droids, he was out, and the two ships dissapeared into hyperspace in different directions, and Talon slipped into sleep in the comfortable pilot's chair.

Talon's top of the line assault shuttle rocketed through hyperpace. He had spent countless hours as Orion and Talon modifying it and upgrading it. The results were finally paying off. Talon sat relaxing in his comfortable but battle-ready pilot's chair. Zee whistled softly from the installed droid plug behind him. "That's right Zee... we're meeting Lt. Doppler and the others there."

Zee whistled an acknowledgment.

"We should be there soon..."

Talon snapped awake in the pilot's seat of his assault shuttle. The last thing he could remember was a blinding pain and a vision of darkness. The Valley had been awakened. But was it really the valley. Something told him something wasn't right. He wasn't sure what to do, but he couldn't help but feel a rising sense of dread.

As Talon and the others flew through hyperspace, Talon went to the back of the ship to check his extensive armory. He put on some custom light battle armor, holstered two pistols, attached several thermal detonators to his belt, and made sure his lightsaber was in place. Overtop of everything, he slipped on a dull black cloak, to conceal everything. If they needed disguise, Talon could give them disguise. After making sure he was battleready, he returned to his cockpit and meditated to prepare himself for their arrival at Coruscant.

The ship bearing the Jedi exile Talon remained in a steady course through hyperspace. Biding his time, Talon adopted a meditative state. His body and mind were tired, and he needed healing. Not only had he suffered minor physical wounds, but also emotional ones. The Jedi had lost much in this battle. He needed something to take his mind off things, less he think something bad about his superiors and their faulty leadership skills... In a mostly conscious state, he withdrew the bag of lightsaber parts he had collected earlier fromthe Dojo. The ship was relatively small, but was not cramped, so Talon was comfortable. He displayed all the parts before him in a row. Using his rather extensive knowledge on weapons and battle, he had already devised a plan...

With tools in hand, the exile got to work. It was tough work, constructing a lightsaber. The smallest miscalculation or slightest mis-aligned object could prove to be devastating. He relied heavily on the Force, allowing it to guide his actions and placements to the dot. There would be no mess-ups here. And through this process, it came to be that he completed the hilts for his lightsabers. Not just one, but two- perfectly designed to fit his style. The hilts were almost completely identical. They were straight, with the slightest curve at the bottom end- not unlike the infamous Jedi Killer Asajj Ventress. A mix of silver, black, and gold, the only thing they lacked were the crystals...

Talon was brought back to the present by a beeping from his console. It anounced that he would soon be dropping out at Borleias. He now felt calm and relaxed, and so he just leaned back and waited...

For Talon, the trip to Ilum was one of meditation and reflection. What was his path? He had helped the Jedi on Coruscant, and now he continued to aid them, but was he supposed to be elsewhere? His search for truth was not over, and he would need to find himself before he could truly make a decision... For now, however, he would take it one step at a time- and that meant worry about Ilum and only Ilum...

The lone interceptor skipped through hyperspace. Its limited nav-computer was straining, as it was mostly intended for short jumps. The lights in the cockpit were turned down low, and the various beeps and clicks usually associated with a flying vehicle had been silenced. The droid plugged in outside let out a deep low sigh, and the being within simply dreamt.

It was not long before the solitary craft neared its destination.

Talon's interceptor coasted dangerously through deep space. Stars zipped by as simple streaks of light while the Jedi within slept peacefully within. On departure from Acrid, Zee had reported that he had stowed his ship on Tattooine. The starfighter was headed there now...

As the Excalibur II ripped through hyperspace towards Rafa V, Talon intercepted a series of comm bursts from his droid, Zee, who was currently controling Talon's fighter. Without him, the trip so far had been rather lonely, but his current urgency pressed all matters of personel emotion out.

------

:THE JEDI HAVE MOVED AWAY FROM RAFA V BACK TO HARUUN KAL. MOST ARE NOW OCCUPIED ON BORLEIAS IN BATTLE WITH THE SITH. HOW SHOULD I PROCEED?:

------

Talon was happy the droid had commed him. That's why he had kept the little booger around, after all...

------

"Stay away from the action Zee. I don't want to risk two ships. For right now, just keep where you are. I'll rendevous with you after the battle."

------

Zee's affirmative popped up on the screen, and then he was gone. The droid's news was interesting. Battle on Borleias? How did the Jedi get involved there? It was only fitting, however, that the 'Secretary of War' join the fray. Talon's hands played over the controls, and the ship's course was readjusted to move to Borleias. During the brief escape from hyperspace, Talon also used the opportunity to inform Andon and the others. The group did, afterall, work well as a team. Whether they came or not, however, did not affect Talon's destination...

After the brief stop at the gunshop, Talon moved forward with his greater plans. He had some unfinished business that he needed to take care of- beginning with the reunification of himself and his droid. This required a trip off-world, and so Talon wasted no time maneuvering his ship to the outer edges of Coruscant's gravity well. At this particular spot was the hyperspace ring required by the Eta-2s for interstellar travel. The merging of the two components was a relatively quick and easy process, and in no time, the small ship was lost among the stars.

As Talon's interceptor traveled the lanes of hyperspace towards Dagobah, the pre-determined rendezvous point, the Jedi warrior was willed (seemingly by the Force itself) into a deep, almost unnatural sleep. It was in this doze that something quite extraordinary happened.

Talon was, and always had been, a champion of the Physical Force, and aspects like the Living Force, or even the Unifying Force, were not quite as familiar to him. It was, then, an unusual occurrence for the Jedi Master to receive visions of any sort, but this particular slumber had occurred for a specific reason, and now the Force revealed itself to Talon. After awakening sometime later, the Jedi Master could not quite remember what this dreamlike vision had entailed, but a single name rested on his lips. Esrever A powerful signature in the Force had become realized, and though the Jedi Master was not quite sure what it meant or what it was about, he was quite sure it was of great importance- important enough to devote his time to.

At the present, however, Talon had little time to worry about it. The dream, as magnificent as it had been, had taken up most of the trip, and Talon had to refocus his attention on finding his trusty droid.

As streaks reverted back to pinpoints, and the ring clicked free of the interceptor body above the green, misty planet, Talon was immediately distracted by the hailing comms of his trusty astromech. Immediately, Talon opened a direct line of communication. It appeared the droid had descended to the surface, and was waiting for his master there”¦

Talon's ship winked into the existence of real space with its target destination directly in front of it. The Jedi Order had several locations equipped with workshops and furnaces hot enough to fashion a nice sword, but this particular blade of Talon's would need the utmost attention. Talon could only think of one place that would be consistently hot enough to do what he needed: Mustafar, the volcano planet. And so the assault shuttle Excalibur II descended upon the molten world. En route, he was informed by his droid Zee that the Helix Station had been attacked and destroyed, but he and a majority of the Jedi aboard had evacuated and safely retreated to Haruun Kal. Talon never had liked the acidic green, poisonous planet, but he decided he would rendezvous there when his current mission was complete.

Pushing the matter to the back of his mind, Talon focused on more important things. The final phase of his quest was underway. A majority of the lava harvesting stations that had been in operation during the Clone Wars had gone out of business. There were, however, a few of them left scattered about the fiery surface waiting for future use. A brief planetary scan indicated a number of these at certain points, and his onboard computer highlighted ones that fit Talon's requested criteria. Talon settled on one located just off the equator, where two active magma rivers and an underground vent all converged into one turbulent mess.

When Talon's ship touched down, no one came to greet him. In fact, apart from the whirring of several motors keeping a protective shield about the station, and the occasional groan from the stations sole janitor droid, the station was absolutely silent”¦ and obviously uninhabited. It was for the better- he would not be intruding on anyone, and nobody would bother him. Talon exited the ship carrying all his necessary materials in the hoversled, and he walked across the catwalk of the landing pad into the facility. The whole building seemed to be shaded in fiery oranges and reds, and cool grays and blacks typical of the Mustafarian landscape. Talon, whose own lightsaber was a golden yellow-orange, found it quite soothing.

As the station was so low to the lava flow to begin with, the processing plant and forge in the station were very close to the entrance. As soon as he had come to a stop inside, the 12-sided holocron on the sled behind him lit to life. Talon smiled and inclined his head in a slight bow.

”œI'm ready.”

An Imperial shuttle dropped out of hyperspace and descended upon some wayward moon, remote and out of the way of everything. Piloting the shuttle was Jedi Master Talon, and his trusty companion Zee was already waiting for him at the rendezvous point. It took only several moments for the Jedi to switch vehicles, as Talon carried nothing with him. In a measure of security, the Jedi abandoned everything in the shuttle: the security card, the blaster, even his clothing. Zee had a fresh pair of clothes waiting for him; Talon slipped them on as the ship disappeared into hyperspace, this time heading towards their final destination.
