Camik moved through the woods at full speed after Kirain. He was tracking by smell but also through the bond the blood splashed on her.  He found it interesting because she had tried to wash it off, he felt the bond go weaker when this happened and had come upon the stream where it had happened. But no matter what she did he could tell where she was. He could feel the feer radiating off her and through the blood bond. The scent of it like an intoxicating drug hitting his senses.

He came across a point when the smell told him she had gone to the left but the blood had told him she was to the right. He wanted to follow his instances.  They were ingrained into his genes and made him who he was. But this was a training session. He would trust what he was being taught.

It did not take too long for Manzo to realize she had tried to lead him of course by changing directions. If he had followed the scent he would have had to follow her direct path, this way had led him straight towards her.

As she ran she heard Camik behind her. He was not trying to be stealthy after all, and she started to try and pull branches into his way to slow him down. He did not let this stop him though dropping to all fours to put on a burst of speed. He could use the Force to enhance his movements but what fun was that. This was a hunt and he already had an unfair advantage with the blood.

Far too soon the hunt ended though. Camik leapt upon her tackling her to the ground. His sharp teeth on her neck. Her pulse was beating like a drum. He heald the position for a moment longer then eased up. ”Your life now belongs to me. Telperiën  may have had your loyalty for how she helped you before but ever beat of your heart is now a gift from me. When you go back you will not speak of this to anyone and go back as if nothing had changed. I may call upon you latter I may not but if I do you will come or know there is no where you can hide in this Universe.”

Standing up he dropped a water skin for her before starting to walk back. He was not in a rush and the other two might have beat him back. There was no way of knowing who got their quarry first but truth be told Camik had not rushed it. He had taken his time and let the thrill of the hunt fill him up.  Too long had been stuck on that desert planet, it finally felt good to do something again.

As he walked back into the camp he smiled at Telperien ”That was fun.”

Coming to rest with his humming blade parallel and within a breathe’s distance of his forehead, The Sarlacc exhaled heavily. Sweat glistened on his brow, the dance complete. The force echoed and reverberated to a deathly soothing cal. The swirling dervish that was The Sarlacc coming to rest, his motions in the force rippling outwards towards eternity. His mind was clear. His body cleansed. With a hiss, the purple blade vanished back unto the shaft from which it was born.

Returning to his gear, the Jensaarai gathered it up. He did not don it; however, instead carrying it back to his spartan quarters where there was little aside from his bunk, tools, and a mannequin bearing his armor.

The Duros mind was at peace. His motions were more habit than consciousness. As he stowed his gear and began the ritualistic process of donning his armor. With each piece, he felt the forging fires, the ancient meditations of purifying energies that were poured into every rivet and fold. The armor was compressed and light, shadowy yet gleaning with truth. The Sarlacc felt the dedication and imbued force power in each piece as he affixed it to his undercoat.

Reaching out on the force, The Sarlacc felt for the mind of his apprentice, his elder, his comrade, Svata. The old Ryn was still learning the ways of the Jensaarai and yet the aged spacer’s story had long since prepared him for this life. The force had led him, as it leads all who heed it’s call, whether he was aware or not. The man had completed his task and more. Here amongst the festering dark wound that was Darhomir and her inhabitants, The Sarlacc sensed that his comrade had learned many truths, even some about himself.

As he slung the last of his weapons, The Sarlacc stepped from his quarters and began to make his way from the ship. He detoured only once; to offer the girl he had been tasked to hunt a chance at a greater life, a life beyond the grip of fear and darkness, beyond this world. It was her choice to make. Should she choose to accompany the Jensaarai, they would ensure she was taken to a place of safety and nurtured and offered healing so that she could make an informed decision on where tonchart her own life’s course. Should she choose to stay, nestled amongst the familiar, The Sarlacc would escort her back to her sisters. The choice was hers to make and the moment to make it had come.

Regardless, The Sarlacc returned to the camp where he found Svata and the others. In full Jensaarai regalia, the Defender was a sight to behold; moving silently and swiftly like a predatory beast, carrying a presence that invited challenge to any that dared offer. Placing an armored hand on Svata’s shoulder, he spoke, “The time has come for us to depart my brother.” Turning to the others they had found on the world, he continued; “We have been called elsewhere. The galaxy is great and the force is greater still. In it, we are but specks. We have not forgotten our oath and aid for your world is forthcoming. We, however, must continue on.” With a slight bow he concluded, “May the force be with you.”

After this, the Jensaarai returned to their ship and within the hour lifted off from the darkened world departing for the galaxy beyond.

“Was it truly fun dear Camik?” Telperien wondered aloud as she stood from her position near the fire. “You have gained a servant, a slave, and tools to bring you into the wider world of the Sith. What more can I teach you? Or should I hurl you into battle against the Rebel Alliance and their Jedi without a second care? What do you wish dear Camik?”

The question was an honest one, and she leaned forward to hear his answer.

”Of course it was fun.” Camik answered honestly. ”The hunt is always enjoyable. Too long was I trapped on that planet with nothing to hunt. I worked on my own skills but people stayed in close groups and the animals provided no challenge.”

He looked around at his surroundings. ”I am sure there is more for me to learn though I do not know if you are able to teach it or not.  Perhaps what I need to increase my skills is to get tossed at the alliance and the Jedi.  Experience can be the best teacher. Allow me to grow and reflect before taking the next step with a mentor, if the Sith even have mentors after this point?”  He did not know how closely guarded the Sith would be over their secrets.  He had several different Masters at this point and they all took to teaching a different way.

He looked over at Kirain ”I would not say I have a slave.  I said when they first arrived, turning them into slaves would be a waste.  A vassal or maybe a servant that could be of use.  Right now though I am more interested in learning about the Nightsisters. You seem to do things very differently from others but at your core your society seems to be much like mine was. Perhaps she could teach me. Maybe not the force powers but i would be interested to see the similarities between our cultures.”

“Why Camik I was your mentor. And to me you have passed my tests.” She shrugged her thin shoulders instinctively. “I will never claim to be a good mentor, but I think you are strong enough to take the next steps.” She flicked her hand towards the fire and its coals began to glow white hot as they consumed their own carbon supply. The flames began to show a dark world with a close set moon. A singular city standing like a monolith in the midst of the jungle, and a Super Star Destroyer in a lazy orbit. Then it dissolved into sparks and they were plunged into darkness.

Telperiën stood and placed her hand on the top of his head. Almost gingerly, almost caring.

“Then I will teach you what I know of the Sisters. And then we will see the Spider at Onderon. First I must ask you to bring me your prize.”

(Describe your NPC in detail, give her a background, and bring her to Telperien)

Kirain could not believe what had been happening to her recently. She had given herself to Telperien as her servent. Many of her sisters had because that was the best way.  Dathomir was not a pleasant place and those that were not strong did not survive. At least not without help.  Kirain was smart and she could fight but she did not have any abilities with the magic. For whatever reason the abilities skipped over her. Her mother and her sister had the gift but not her.  Her gift was with the bow. She was among the better shots that she knew of and it did not matter to her if she was running or standing or riding the back of a rancor, her arrows always found their target.

But Telperien had just given her away to this hairy brute. It was bad enough that the brute thought to use her and it was a male but Telperien had seemed to have risen his stature over her sisters for whatever reason. She was careful not reveal her inner thoughts, a skill that was well honed growing up but her deepest fantasies started to form of slitting this hairy males throat while he slept.

****

Camik listened to Telperien tell him what he wished to know about the sisters.  It was interesting and he would have to learn more about their magic. It was a different way of utilizing the force and the more knowledge he had the more power he would have. His inner senses could feel his new vessels inner feelings and he could feel the hatred for him rolling off her.  It was something he would have to deal with but for now she was in hand.

It was time to see if she could mind her manners.  He looked at her and gave her a signal ”Introduce yourself to our host.”

The Fact that Telperien most likely knew her better than he did was not lost on him but he still went through the motions.

”I am Kirain” she simply said to Telperien

”Perhaps it would a good thing to talk while we traveled. I am interested in meeting this Spider at Onderon ”
