Mon Calamari/Dac

"Ohh... Boss... This is hard. A ship as fine as this diserves a fine name. Please, I need some time to deliberate."

*Locke started flipping switches, turning dial, and pulling on the control pad as if he had the slightest clue what he was doing.*

"To the Stars!"

*The ship promptly rammed backward into the durasteel wall. Locke Chuckled.*

"Hehe, oops."

*Locke pulled the controls the other way and raised the nose for take off, blasting off and heading into hyperspace, but not before Kirana was forced to slap him upside the head and take the controls...*

The small civillian transport shuttered a little as it enter the atmospher of Mon Calamari. Phate walked out onto the docking pad to view his surroundings, carrying nothing more than his personal blaster pistol, what little credits he had, and some rations for emergencies. He straightened his tunic and made way to where ever the Rebel Alliance held their recruitment centre.

As he strode among a crowd of Mon Calamarins and other races, he softly whistled an old Naboo tune to himself. Taking in his surroundings and keeping a good eye out....

((I'm sorry, I forgot to post here that I'd be away the week! SORRY!!))

Narrowed eyes. In this presense she couldn't wrap her mask around her quick enough to hide any insecurities underneath a shadow of nothingness. Meleni straightened her form, staring straight across (well, she is tall) at him with black eyes, the slight movement causing a ripple of orange across her body underneath her robe.

Her mind quickly filled in the blanks. He was looking for you. She's his wife. She's sensitive to the Force. He is too. Something odd about them both...

Look to the East.

Meleni cautiosly took his hand then spoke in a low voice. "Who are the two of you?"

Mara saw the girl look towards them, and felt her reach out to them. THen she heard the girls question. She turned to Leo to see if he would reply, or if she should.

A huge Star Defender cruiser left the shipyards complete, immediately christened the Hope's Battle. It would be the backbone of the fleet to come. It was quickly crewed with the best men that were on hand and given a Captain.

The shipyard then began to work on another MC90a.

  • 3 weeks later...

OOC: Legal double post.

IC: Another MC90a Starcruiser was completed and drifted from its docks. It was crewed and christened by her captain, the Justice's Gauntlet, then joined the other ships in a defensive orbit around the shipyards that were all that was important to the Alliance at the moment.

So far the Alliance had two MC90as and a Star Defender, the Regenesis and the Hope's Battle.

On a hunch, the Alliance base personnel begin extensive defensive training. The Golan's are brought online and starfighters begin drills. Defensive patrols are stepped up and extra work is carried out to speed up the building of the Rebellion's fleet to bring it up to standard. They still have alot of work to do to replenish the losses from the last few battles.

- The young man touched down, unsure of this new place that had been laid out before him. Taking off his overlarge pilot mask, he'd step down softly from the E-Wings' wings and began to walk across the grassy plains he landed upon. -

- His blue brillant eyes look everywhere, in complete wonder of his surrondings, looking for the very something he left to find here. -

OOC: Hope that's alright, Onderin.

OOC: Well, there's no underground base that I'm aware of....come on up to the flagship.

IC: An escorted Lambda shuttle arrived and docked with the massive Star Defender battlecruiser, the Hope's Battle. Onderin Starlisk, the Admiral of the Alliance, left the shuttle and headed straight for the bridge of the huge captial ship.

The Jedi Knight received word that General Sunrider had just returned to Selvaris soon after he had left. He very much wanted her to take part in the battle, perhaps even leading the Elites, so he sent a short and concise comm back asking for her immediate arrival.

The sooner the Alliance could launch this attack, the better. Onderin didn't know if the Empire was close to building a Star Destroyer, but if they were, he would be careful. The thought occurred to him to send a scout force ahead--nothing big, just enough to size up Kuat's defenses and layout--and he would follow through on that.

Besides, he had the perfect person in mind to lead the scout force. He requested his apprentice, Sabian, up on the bridge. As soon as the boy arrived, he would give orders. Until then, he would wait on his apprentice and Kirana.

- Luckily for his timing, there was another small vehicle guiding a path infront of where he landed, a very large structure a few hundred yards down from where he first touched down. Both slim long hands of his grasped at his waist, tossing his head lightly from side to side as his chin angled downward. -

That old coop.. Set the auto-pilot wrong.

- The young man figured the ship's current position was incorrect, and that he signal a request to land inside the main hangar. Climbing up the ladder to which he first led himself down off the pilot's chambers from, he'd notice a flashing message on the ship. Upon touching the message, a pre-record message shuffled into full screen upon the computer, a man in a Rebel Alliance uniform stating clearly out to him.. -

Rebel Officer: "Private Sabian Devanus-- come in, Mr. Devanus. Ah, there you are. I noticed your ship landed outside the hangar bay, so I've authorized clearance and set the co-ordiance of your ship to arrive momentarily. I know how that Salty Dog can be with misplacing numbers every now and then."

- Almost instantly after the communication was received, the top window of the E-Wing began to close over him, thrusters starting, and slowly became aloft. With until a gentle tap required from the young man to steer the ship in the right way, the E-Wing generously glided the distance toward the hangar bay, landing within the minute of take-off. -

- Coming out from the chambers, bit of a smirk forming on his red face, 'half from finding humor in the situation and being a tad embarrased, he stepped off the ship; where the man who was on the other end of the video message stood by his side. -

Rebel Officer: "Welcome, Mr. Sabian. Hope your trip wasn't too bad."

- The young man shifted the large brown cloak he had on back, exposing the medical wardrobe he had underneath. He was still brillantly flushed in the face, bright red circles covering his cheeks. -

"Yes, it was pleasant until just recently with the landing situation. I'm sorry for the inconveince of missing the target."

Rebel Officer: "Don't worry, I understand. First time right? Not bad, didn't crash it at all from what I see.."

"..Admiral Starlisk requested you on the flagship. First off, I think we need to get you into some better clothing."

- The Officer motioned the young man to follow with the swing of his arm, directing towards a coridor that went deeper into the hangar bay. He led him inside a room, where in invidual boxes were pilot gear. A bright orange jumpsuit, white loose chest plate in the center, bright shiny boots, long white gloves, and a belt holister. Stepping out from the room, he felt like a new man, placing either cupped hands on his waist sides. -

Rebel Officer: "Much better. Now follow me, Flight Officer Devanus."

- Within moments, he'd be led onto the Hope's Battle, a large battlecruiser that was bigger then any ship the young man had seen before. Being led into the captial ship, the young man would see his Master after his long journey to the planet. -

- Bowing his head slowly, the boy gleamed with a great big smile, folding his long skinny arms over his chest, flaunting his outfit in a very masculine way. -

"How do I look, Master? I flew all the way here on my own. I hope you're proud of me, 'only took me two hours."

- He'd chuckle a bit afterwards, overwhelmed with delight just upon the very glance of the man. It meant the world to him that he be reunited again, being the only person he could rely on at the moment after being rescued from Coruscant. -

Onderin couldn't keep a smile off his face, but then the seriousness of the situation hit him. "You look..." he started, "like a pilot. Sabian, if you're going to fight over Kuat, I'd like you to have a lot more training first. Two hours is hardly what I'd call combat training. Go down and run sims until we leave--you may be able to get the hang of combat before the real thing is on you."

He had changed his mind about sending the boy on the scouting mission. He wasn't disappointed, but two hours and being able to fly here from Selvaris wasn't quite impressive. Or maybe the Jedi Knight was a little too protective of the boy.

The Admiral continued to wait for Kirana and organized the scout mission anyway. Just because Sabian couldn't do it didn't mean it wouldn't be done. He put his old squadron, Halo Squadron, in charge of the mission, giving them the standard Recon X designated "Snoop" to actually get some sensor sweeps done.

Soon the group was underway.

OOC: I'll post their actions at Kuat pretty soon--let's hope I can do this without tipping the Imps off.

"Aw, do I have to?.. Bah, alright, alright. It shall be done, sir."

- With a solemn sigh, his face still releaved to see him, he'd make a small bowing motion in his direction before the Rebel Officer assisted him off. As the two of them were descending from the landing platform, the boy stopped to turn to the Officer, a deep look of concern on his face. -

"Is he alright? Do you think he trusts me enough on my own?"

- The Officer shrugged mildly, taking a forward step infront of the boy and continuing down the path towards the back of the hangar. While he passed him, he'd say in a low mannered tone of voice.. -

Rebel Officer: "He's been under a deal of stress lately with the Imperial threat drawing nearer. You should focus on praticing those simulations before anything. I'll show you to the combat training facility."

- The young man was confused by the word 'Imperials', still unsure what he meant by it. He took it as a word used as their enemy but, he kept quiet about it for now. -

- After taking a small journey down a long elevator, the two of them reached a large white room with seperate doors, one of which was on the far end of the hallway. The Rebel Officer would open the doors, the front part of an E-Wing attached to series of cables and switches standing stationary in the center of the large room. The walls were of a light blue color, and there was a side door that led to a different section of the room. -

Rebel Officer: "I'll be running a series of scenarios for you, Mr. Devanus. Keep up as best as you can and remember your teachings. 'Make your way into the chambers when your ready."

- A broad serious look was upon the man's face as he gave a solemn salute with his left hand before taking the hidden door out beyond the room's boundaries. It was just him now, in this solitary room where it was just him and the machine. -

- Climbing aboard, his right arm shutting the frontal door over him, he strapped himself in and manned the controls with both hands. The gloves he were issued were very response to his very movements and breathed easily over the control stick, his left thumb hovering behind the trigger switch. Giving a simple nod outwards, the machine came alive; buttons glowing, air circulating through the small cockpit, as the machine itself began to pivet around, standing still again once it made a full rotation. -

- All the lights went off momentarily, except for what glowed from his control pannel, until the walls of the room light up in full color. Series of stars, planets, and galaxies came alive to him, as well as the rest of the ship that was not seen on the machine itself. Long prongs extended from either ends, as he could see the exhaust of his thrusters behind the ship. He tested the response of the ship first, moving the ship around with the motions of the control stick until he felt comfortable for combat. He had discharged some lasers and missles with the Sgt. before at some idle targets but, none like what he was faced. -

- Immediatly, TIE fighters began to show on his view screen, flashing red and zooming in from every direction. The young man got very hesitant and nervous, turning and twisting all kinds of ways to avoid conflict with the enemy, discharging all kinds of lasers in obscure directions that weren't even near the targets intended. He heard in vibrant sound a volley of lasers streaming down upon him, the whole machine shaking wildly until it came to a complete stop. In bright big red letters along the wall said.. -

Mission Failed

- The lights came on. The Rebel Officer opened the side door, tossing both arms in the air with not-the-happiest look on his face. -

Rebel Officer: "What the heck do you call that, Flight Officer Devanus? Your heart rate sky rocketed as soon as I put those ships in there, and you went nuts on me, boy. This time, calm down and try to manuver behind them first."

- He pointed his meaty finger at him through the blackness of his right glove. With a discomforting slam of the door as he once again entered the side enterance, the lights turned off and the simulation continued from where they first started from. -

- The young man took the time to quiet his mind, being mindful of his Master's teachings and the ways of the Force. Taking a couple deep breathes, closing his eyes momentarily from under the large pilot helmet he wore, he'd mentally process to himself.. -

..If I can submerge myself back into that state of being with the Force when I stopped the concussion missle, I think I'll have a shot at fighting with this ship..

- It'd take him a few moments, the more pratice he got at quieting his body and mind's actions, the easier it was for him to connect with the Force around his being. A soft glow of energy surged the dark cavity of his mind and filled the area he sensed around him with the same vibrant green color he came to know so well. He sealed himself within this state, allowing his very hands control his movements with little of his own concious thought. -

- The four TIE fighters came in quicker then before, the Officer obviously trying to push the limits with the boy. With eyes still closed, his hands nimbly shifted the controls from the back of the ship to propel him forward at great speeds, then turn with the greatest of ease back around, to gain the advantage over the four coming in. -

- The two long prongs on either side of him moved around, attached to the ship, to point down at one target that was closeby. The Force guided his every movement from there on out, mind and body combined sensed everything around him in perfect view. Lasers discharged directly at all four targets, clipping some to bail, and obliterating the others in one fell swoop. In large green lettering along the walls now glowed.. -

Mission Success

- Simulation ended, the Officer exiting from his chambers with an astonished look upon his face, his arms now raised not in discontempt but in a joyeous manner. -

Rebel Officer: "Alright, Sabian! Nice work there, pilot. Couldn't have done it better myself.. Let's run a couple more tests then send you back up, shall we?"

- They would spend the next couple of hours running more complicated scenarios; everything from disabling and retrieving captured vessels without completing destroying them, recon missions where moving low and undetectable mattered most, and co-operative modes with other simulated pilot missions. -

- At the end of the long session in the simulation room, his forehead was sweaty and both mind and body was exhausted. Wiping his temples with the back of his gloves, the young man propped open the cockpit window and got out to meet the Officer standing by the machine. -

"I think I need to lay down for a while.."

Rebel Officer: "Understood. Let's go to the pilot's chambers and get you something to eat and some rest before the big day."

- He followed the Officer as intended, got something to eat at the large cafeterioum where other Alliance personelle gathered to get food and socialize. Afterwards, he laid down in his own private pilot chambers where he slept for the rest of the night. -

OOC: I hope that covers everything. If you need Sabian to intend the meeting with you, I can have him only napping for a couple hours and coming back to the flagship. Let me know either by PM or on your next post.

Hells angel plumed through space. It reached orbit around tthe plant. The ship landed outside a massive buliding. The hatch opened and Jak walked out. He was here for fighter pilot training, but he didn't know where to start. He walked into the buliding. Pilots running around in flight suites. People giving out orders. Whao was Jak supposed to talk to? He had no idea. He just knew he had to report here.

- A number of hours passed as they boy lay rested upon a white mattress bed with a green sheet pattern, compiled of individual Rebel symbols. He awoke with a cold sweat upon his brow, his bright orange jumpsuit still on. Raising a hand to his left temple, the boy would bring himself to toss the sheets to one direction, sliding his legs out from underneath the covers to lay down upon the ground. -

Man, I really wore myself out back there, didn't I? I'll be more careful next time..

- His thoughts also dwelled with his Master, who even though he was walking distance from him, felt so distant. The relation as teacher and Admiral of the Rebel Alliance conflicted but, the boy hoped it would not for very long. The knowledge he had acquired from using the Force through piloting a ship expanded his mind to new questions, questions that needed answers. -

- Rising fully from one side of the bed, a mild yawn displayed as he began to put the rest of his pilot's uniform on; strapping each long white gloves one at a time, slipping into each boot while seated on the ground, tightening the white chestplate and waist so that it fell loosely over his form but tight enough for minor protection. -

- Sabian would exit the chambers of his chambers, the desire to speak with his Master growing over the recent events. He felt fortunate that the Officer had not seen him coming out of the room, giving him the oppertunity to go about his own ways. Retracing his former steps and using the Force to guide his way through the complex base structure, the boy made his way back out into the hangar. -

- From there, he'd blend himself as well as he could with the other pilots, spotting the large Rebel battlestation Hope's Battle in close proximity. His legs picked up the pace, rushing towards the landing platform, flashing his unmasked face to either guards standing at attention with a generous nod. Within seconds, he'd be inside, following the way he came in before and walked slowly out into the meeting room to which his Master still resided. Back arched down in a humble bow, rising back up with a large smile upon his face. -

"I know I have returned earlier then you may have thought, Master, but I'm ready to help you now! Officer Daniels thinks I'm ready to fight for the Alliance now. He said I performed top-notch in the simulations.."

"..but I was still hoping we could get a chance to talk more, about the Force. The simulation brought me to become reliant on the Force with my inexperience, and through it, I could excel a level far better then my own natural abilities. Is that normal?"

Onderin nodded. "Combat often is a pathway to opening oneself to the Force in a far more intimate way. It helps act as a guide, and more of the passive traits show through," the Jedi Knight explained.

"If you're ready to fight, we're leaving," the Admiral decided. He couldn't afford to wait any longer, as his reconaissance mission came back with news that there was one Star Destroyer but very little by means of secondary defenses. If he wanted to have the best success, he would need to operate immediately, while the advantage was his.

Without pausing a moment, he gave the order, "Deploy the fleet. We leave immediately."

His orders were followed and the Hope's Battle, escorted by the Regenesis and the Justice's Gauntlet, deployed and entered hyperspace only minutes after the order was given.

"Aye, sir. Good luck, Master. I'll be right by you."

- With a quick and humble nod, he ran at a jogging pace off the bridge where he and Onderin stood. His oversized pilot helmet was beside his right foot, generously scooping it up and putting it on as he gave a small farewell wave towards the direction where his Master was. The boy's body was filled with emotions; the feeling of purpose filling his entire form with a sense of slight anxiousness and nervousness. -

- Other pilots were running up to their ships, starting system checks, and taking off in a hurry. Feeling this hurried presence, he'd do the same with his own actions. Bright shiny black boots stomped the smooth ground at a hurried pace, either white glove grasping a firm hold on the ladder structure that led into the cockpit. Each foot pushed himself up with such an intensity and drive, to the point where he reached the open cockpit chambers, he pratically jumped inside. -

- Strapping himself down firmly, lowering the cockpit's window over him, he'd mentally go through checking all the figures of the ship's systems for take off.. -

Back thrusters, on.. All systems showing green.. Entering co-ordinates.. and go!

- His right hand thrusted the main turnshift all the way forward, his back engines flaring with a bright blue as the gentle pushing and pulling of his hands upon the main steering apperitus turned the ship out of the hangar and entering the sky's orbit. A few notches there, a few clicks there, the E-Wing took off with blazing speeds up into space, following the rest of the fleet. -

The freighter and the transport both exited hyperspace, finding that the fleet had already left for their mission. Kira ordered the Elites to head off to where they were now required while she organised the restocking of their ship as there hadn't been time on Selvaris.

Orders were placed for the building of another MC90a before they again took off for their new destination.

Excalibur II dropped out of hyperspace high above the blue planet of Mon Calamari. The trip from Wayland had been short and uneventful, and now the forest dweller's journey was near an end.

Talon gained clearance to land on one of the larger Mon Calamari floating cities, where Entreri would have better luck finding what he was looking for. As the ship nestled onto the duracrete pad, and the boarding ramp in the back was lowering, Talon moved to bode farewell his acquaintance.

As the forest dweller moved down off the ramp, Talon spoke one final piece of advice. "If you don't find what you're looking for here, I again urge you to go to Coruscant. You'll find what you need at The Last Call. Until we meet again, may the Force be with you."

And then the ramp was closed, and Talon was free to head back to the temple. He moved back to the cockpit, and as soon as Excalibur II had come, it was gone.

Entreri moved to say goodbye to the jedi but he was already he gone, He slung his pack over his back and went off in search of a Rebel recruiting office. After 2 hours of searching he found what he was looking for and walked inside he looked to the droid and asked were he could find the CO of the Ground forces of the Rebels, So that he could send a comm link message to them to say he was reporting for duty. He took a seat in a chair in the corner and waited for the droids anwser.

OOC: Remant'e or Kirana is in charge of posting the defense of the Alliance, though neither is there in person.

IC: With a flicker of motion an MC90a Starcruiser exits hyperspace at the Alliance shipyards. It's transponder code answers to the name Rejeuvenator, and it is registered to belong to the Open Sky vigilante organization.

The massive ship immediately begins moving into an attack position, and it sends out a broad-band visual communication. On all comm screens within the shipyard itself and those aboard any nearby ships (there were no capital ships) appeared the cunning and unexpected face of Emperor Jidai Geki.

*The personal craft containing Locke and Kirana appeared from hyperspace and began to descent onto Mon Calimari, and was not suprised to find an MC90 hovering in orbit. It was Mon Calimari, it made sense that they'd be Mon Cal Cruisers. What didn't make sense was the feeling Locke Got.*

Kira groaned, muttering almost to herself.

"I recognise that ship. Why did I agree to let that organisation have any ships at all after what Forn did to me. Trust them to turn on the Alliance again."

She received a communication from the planet and responded that they were to bring all defenses online. The response was that the golans had already been put on active stations from previous drills so was only a matter of launching fighters. She gave the order to do so. Ground defenses were already online as well.

"Well Locke, what's your suggestion. Trust your instincts. You can run this one, I'll support with Battle Meditation. You just tell me where you want me."

OOC: I am sorry for taking so long.

IC: Jidai looked questionally back at Kosk. They hadn't really discussed what exactly he was supposed to say. Shrugging, Geki turned back to the monitor. The voice and image of Geki spoke. There could be little doubt it was Geki who stood before the screen. Even his most subtle mannerisms were present.

"This is the benevolent Emperor Jidai Geki. I request that all alliance ships surrender immediately. I'm sure many have heard the reports on Coruscant. It would be a shame for a similar amount of destruction to occur here."

Locke sat down in the pilot seat and began to adjust the ship's trajectory, taking the long way to the surface. Instead of going directly past the MC90 he set the ship to travel on orbit around the planet; taking them the long way around but landing them at the base without having to come into turbolaser firing range. Locke adjusted the comm, making sure that this was really the right Comm and not just something floating in space, coincidentally hitting them at just this moment. This message was terribly queer on so many levels. Taking the initiative he decided to reply, but not before closing the gap between the base and the Rejuvenator. He may have not been able to stay completely up to date on politics, checking Holonet occasionally was all he needed to know this wasn't right.

"This is Captain Locke StarSpanker of the Rebel Alliance, and as it stands the Empire doesn't use Mon Cal Cruisers and the Emperor Isn't Jidai Geki. Your demands, whoever you are, will not be answered. However, if you'd like to speak this over peacefully, I'd be willing to meet you--on your terms no less."

Even as Locke spoke he knew, deep down, that a diplomatic solution was not more than a pipe dream. Locke began Transmitting his message as their ship touched down, the Jedi running out to meet the commanders. He wouldn't strike first, he wanted to exhaust all other possibilities before they resorted to violence. Regardless, crews scurried about quickly--heading into battle positions.

Tycho paced the bridge, amused that only a Captain was in charge of the defense. He sighed. Geki's appearance wouldn't have as much of an effect on the Alliance then, but it could serve its full purpose if Vash handled things correctly.

Too quietly for the comm to pick up, the Corellian spoke to Vash. "You know what to say--he doesn't know that this is an Open Sky ship, apparently, so be sure that he knows this is just your first step towards power...though hardly use terms that direct."

He was actually kind of annoyed that this Captain Starspanker didn't know the ship was registered to Open Sky. They had been allies, and the ship should have been recognized. The price of the captain's incompetance would be felt on both sides, this time.

Jidai nodded silently to Tycho. He'd figured the identity of these ships would be obvious. Geki's voice came over the line once again.

"I am no longer the Emperor this is true. But what appears to have escaped such an intelligent Rebel officer as yourself, is that these are not Imperial ships. I am the new commander of Open Sky. Grand Admiral Kosk has wisely seen things my way."

He gave a knowing glance toward Tycho.

"Your ships have been decimated, don't forget I was at that last battle. I'm sure your leaders would not appreciate you getting the rest of their fleet wiped out. Stand down."

Locke sighed, realizing suddenly the problem. Clearly these people had some horribly misguided plan. Locke replied to the comm coolly and sweetly, not desiring them to loose their temper.

"But my friend, so many things you say are inconsistent. Intelligence reports say Geki was executed in the battle of Coruscant. Reports also say that it was, in fact, the galactic Empire that decimated Coruscant. If you're going to threaten to do what you did to Coruscant you should at least actually be the person who decimated Coruscant. As for you being Geki, lets say that he did survive. Why would he abandon his waiting post back at the Empire, or that faction he started from scratch; SEED, in favor of a rag-tag group of Rebel Wannabes? You're terrible liars, but I'll forgive you for it."

Locke lowered the Comm slowly, fearing that his obvious assertions might be too complicated for the likes of Open Sky. He raised his comm again.

"I'm still quite willing to talk this out. Surely our differences could be settled. I'll even meet you on your flagship. Alone. War does not have to be the only course of action."

"Jedi do not fight for peace, that is a slogan and is misleading as slogans naturally are. Jedi fight for civilization as civilization creates peace."

Geki looked back at Kosk. Such a meeting could serve their purposes. Battle was not absolutely necessary. He spoke to Kosk silencing the comm,

"When rising to power Thrawn found diplomacy and force to be valuable allies."

While Kosk thought it over, Jidai spoke once over the comm once more.

"Check your voice recognition scanners, or image identifiers. You'll find I'm Geki. Or at least his newly cloned form. There is a Sith in control of the Empire now, I've been thrown out, as the Sith called Havoc was before me. I haven't heard from SEED since after the battle. I don't think my identity should be your main concern right now. Perhaps a show of force would prove to you I'm the real deal?"

"Humans, how pathetic."
