Once Upon a Time - poem (Complete)

I have tried to make it readable forward and backward. Not sure if this is what you had in mind but here goes...

Happily ever after it might yet be...

The children singing under the tree

The force gathered beneath their feet

Ready to take a great leap

Only together could they have lit the crown

Dispelled the darkness that fell all around

Given him standing on firm ground

Amidst plumes of ash and smoke, they stand together

All the good that ever was in him

The shreds of the force that walk with them

Saying its not too late, together we may yet unlock the gate

Please find me, I'm all alone on this cross

Your my anchors and my sanity, without you I'm lost

Walking free, yet forever bound to anothers whims

No choice but to wallow in sin

The tide of the darkside rises within

Somewhere small specks of good calling to him

But casting back the light, evil gathers and smites

In the end all you can do is fight

Only under the light will you find a solution to this plight

Turn from darkness, light your torches, reach out

Fear not the shadows, all they can sow is doubt

When will they stop running from the truth, the fear in tow

To each in his own time one must suppose

It could have been happily ever after

But for Once upon a time...

Each story, challenge response, or poem gets its own thread so I took the liberty of splitting yours from Darsha's. You can rename it if you want. Great poem, by the way. Nice imagery.

Just when I thought it was over, I watched Tiana kick Almira in the head, effectively putting her out of her misery. I did not expect that.
