JediRP Canon History: Mechis III is a highly-industrialized droid factory planet. It was the site of a massive Jedi droid-army building site. When it was discovered by the Sith, Mechis III became a battleground with multiple Sith fighting against multiple Jedi. Eventually, the Sith won the day, and the facility became theirs.

During the Arach’tar War, the Rebel Alliance fought to take over the facility. However, before the fleet battle ended, the Arach’tar arrived in force. Mechis III escaped into hyperspace, ending the battle between Alliance and Empire in light of this new threat.

After the Arach’tar were defeated, Mechis III was once again in the hands of the Empire and the Sith.

Old description:

Primer: This planet appear in the Expanded Universe; in the Old Republic it served as one of the many droid foundries of the Techno Union. During the days of the Empire, it was electronically hacked by the droid bounty hunter IG-88. He then converted the planet into his base for an eventual droid revolution, modifying every droid that left the foundries to be similarly self-aware like him and ready to rebel- unfortunately, the last version of IG-88 was destroyed with the second Death Star, nipping their rebellion in the bud.

Aryian gets first post.

Edit Aryian 3/14/17 - This planet has been retrofitted and modified with innumerable weapons emplacements of all kinds, to include orbital platforms. This is to repel any possible invasion force, and to maintain an enforced neutral area in an increasingly hostile galaxy. While battle is permitted here, it is likely that any hostile action - against anyone or anything - will cause a near limitless amount of droids and ordinance to be dropped on your position. There are designated sparring areas in each polar temple that are immune to these responses, but they also are equipped with a dampening field so as to prevent death from occurring.

Mechis III is a heavily industrial world, comparable in some aspects to Coruscant, only with no organic entities on the planet, and the air is polluted with smoke constantly from all the factories there. A long time ago, before the invasion of IG-88, it's founders put into place several planetary defense cannons, massive guns that could shoot down orbiting ships from the planet. They built these in great number, so as to protect against pirates and the like. There are also several planetary Ion cannons, although fewer in number, still an extensive threat to any fleet wishing to assault the planet. In addition, there are severl hundred thousand sensors in the surrounding space of the planet, meant to signal the defense system and alert the humans below who ran the operation.

However, the invasion of IG-88 was not expected, and he successfully hacked into the system, and subsequently programmed the majority of the machinery below with secret plans to incur a droid insurrection when he sent out a signal, taking over the galaxy in one fell swoop. Since then, there has been no people left alive on the planet below, and it has just kept working, everything fully automated. The planet was abandoined, until now.

Aryian's ship streaked from hyperspace, alerting the sensors. Immediately, the Blur's computer contacted the global defense system, asking permission to control the system. Before it could do anything, Aryian, who was neurally linked to his ship, mentally killed any and all encryption, a feat that used both his intelligence with computers and powers in the force. His computer, in turn, delved into its coding, effecting the request before an answer was even given, immeditately identifying them as a friendly ship to the planet.

His ship landed near the main housing unit for the computer core, a massive building that was mainly wiring. He worked through his neural link, establishing the same logic through his ship into it, and eventually won over the trust of the system, allowing him command over the planetary functions.

Droids from many parts of the planet began to move towards one point, building a new building that looked like any other building, only the inside was filled with laser turrets and cannons equipped with facial sensors, anyone whose face didn't match security scans or whose face didn't register within five seconds would be torn to shreds by about a hundred laser cannon turret bolts.

In the center of the massive warehouse was stacked peculiar looking crates, droids specially made to be disguised as that in case one made it past the laser turrets. These had synthesized midichlorians in a specially designed system running through them, allowing to sense the force much as a force user would, but it still wouldn't be able to harness it, a formidible foe for any brave enough to encounter them.

There were nine of them, stacked on top of a trapdoor to a cave that led far below the surface of the planet, lined with glowpanels and traps, mainly laser cannons and gravity traps, again equipped with facial sensors.

The new Jedi fortress had begun construction.

The droids that had newly pledged their service to Aryian were about to agree with him about the Jedi. They agreed with his ideals, in that one can benefit the whole, and the whole can benefit the galaxy. The sentient system core saw that by helping Aryian, it too could come to be respected, and take it's place as the newest equalized being in the galaxy. Subsequently, Aryian loaded into it's databanks all the programming he had ever written, transferred from his safehouse on Coruscant. Immediately the systems upgraded themselves, never again would anyone be able to hack into the planet, unless they were officially recognized by several things, such as secret information Aryian only knew, as well as an algorithm that was very simple, and yet would confuse the best programmer into insanity.

In essence, the planet of Mechis III became it's own entity, like his ship. before, it had no need to, but it now had a desire to grow, build upon itself, upgrade itself as necessary. It thought similarly to Aryian, having copied his brain patterns for it's initial connection with Aryian's mind, making it easier for thought to program transfer.

It developed several new plans for itself, to build a deep underground auxillary computer core, even hidden from the Jedi. Droids would finish the structure in under a week, providing an alternate location for the entity to swat brutal invaders down from the sky. It had also calculated the possibility that the Sith might come after them, and started manufacturing more of the Droids Aryian had designed for the main fortress entrance defenses.

Aryian himself had command over an entire complement of worker droids, the powerful lumbering machines ripping away at rock far beow the planets surface, carving out a sufficiently sized structure that was able to sustain itself even under the most brutal of orbital bombardments, such was the distance between levels. It had room for everything, and Aryian put hidden defenses everywhere. it also included places for Ysalamiri, to project bubbles of Anti-force to screw wth the force powers of any force-sensitive invaders.

Since the fortress was now finished over the short course of a day, Aryian started working on his other project, a long, deep underground tunnel that led far away from the initial structure, again, lined with traps and sensors. Aryian would leave no room for error, and with infinite resources he couldn't go wrong. The tunnel ended at a mountain, where the construction droids made a small hangar, capable of holding nearly thirty starfighters. At this end, the hidden cave opening was lined with explosives, in case for any reason they needed to seal off that end of the base.

When that was finished after a few hours, Aryian gave them one final command to lay similar explosives at the other end of the base, for the same reason, before uploading all the personal information about the Jedi he knew from his memory, allowing the computer system on Mechis III to establish security settings for each, though their ships would not clear the system thirty seconds without an input code, one he would apply for each and every user, rotating on a random basis. He would have to input that programs into each of their ships though, and of course there could be an override in case an enemy force got a hold of the program somehow.

Now, a cloning system and training room were al that were left. There was little more to do. Still up connected to the system core neurally, Aryian disconnected, exhausted. The droids were huge and cumbersome, but they worked very fast in large numbers. He had been awake for nearly three days, though, so he sat back in the cockpit, letting his eyes close to deep sleep, and while he was unconscious, he was visited by scuttling medical droids, complements of the system.

((RL elapsation in time to pay building RL penalties for RP. Er, something like that.))

Aryian awoke two days later, tapping into code through the neural link he still wore around his head, viewing the progress of his masterpiece. Beautiful. It only needed one final ingredient.

Aryian sent a comm to the Jedi masters back on Coruscant, and a droid emmisary ship took off from the planet, also heading for Coruscant, it's job extremely important to his plans for a safe haven for the Jedi.

EDIT:

Aryian created from memory different recognization patterns for each Jedi, allowing them different levels of useage of the system depending upon rank, the council masters had the highest, able to control critical programs in defenses and droid coordination. Masters had the next highest level, able to activate and deactivate the alarms, though once an alarm was tripped, a full inquiry would be carried out by the system network, even if the alarm was disabled.Knights and lower could access information, but that was about it. They could also queue up productions from the droid factories, but that would come later.

Aryian himself maintained full joint control with the Sentient computer system at all times, being that he was the first one to establish trust between the droids and organics once again, at least on Mechis III. The System trusted him, and he trusted it.

His ships also were scheduled to recieve the most advanced technology chips, able to comprehend the most advanced flight and combat maneuvers and fly like an expert pilot, without predictable patterns that most droid pilots were so suceptable to. Another order was also put up, one for combat droids, again similar to the ones made earlier, 25 in number.

These would immediately be shipped off to Coruscant to aid in the battle there. With all the functions the planetary systems daily, the orders were almost carried out instantly, without the main workload being disturbed one bit.

Again, a lone ship departed Mechis III, bound for Coruscant.

EDIT 2:

Within a few days, there had been multiple deviations of production scheduling to prepare for a war that very possibly would sooner or later end up on Mechis III's doorstep. Multiple Droid fighters were created, whole battalions stored away beneath the earth in hidden hangars, while even more numerous assault/defender droids were built, the factory driods having to up their production rate to keep their standardized schedule. These assault droids were located through many warehouses and hidden storage facilities all across the planet, hardwired through a hive mind mentality, so that jamming could not prevent them from communicating and destroying the threats to their existance.

In case of a fleet attack, several vectors of relay buoys were put into place in the surrounding space, as many as a million kilometers apart, able to carry one emergency burst well away from the planet before Jamming could take effect.

Aryian, having been "repaired" by the medical droids, blasted away from the planet, leaving a promise to the sentient mind of the planet that he would return soon, perhaps with more Jedi it could learn from.

Activate secondary protocol: Obtain transportation.

Veild in shadows was a source of inhuman strength. Unnatural power lay beneath the mere skin of a human. As powerful legs marched toward the main factory oif Mechis III, metalic components moved, giving the shadowy figure a grace uncommon to most meatbags. His speed given to him by those same components.

Glowing from behind their veil of shades, twin crimson pupils stared forward, not blinking once. To the human race and other species who has involved emotion in their lives, those same emotions caused them to see each object with feelings, whether good or bad. But to the droid known as Poseidon, he saw the world as numbers and percentages, threats and safeties. In his world, a steady stream of numbers ran down the right side of his vision giving him up to date readings on all his systems. To his left was an small box designed to hold an image until it was properly identified, which if done properly, only took a couple of seconds. Like a weapons system, a targeting reticle moved across his vision, selecting new objects to analyze and dissect.

93.418% chance of acheriving objective.

Confident with the numbers repeated to him, Poseidon leapt from the trees and landed upon the open earth. As he slowly made his way toward a small expansion of the factory, his two bodyguards emerged from their own hiding places and joined his side.

Stepping before the a small access terminal, Poseidon rerouted 300 droids from working on the former program installed within them. Once they had gathered around him, the large huamnoid instructed them in how to create his ship, which would also serve as his ground transport vehicle.

As the workers scurried off to do their parts, Poseidon instructed his bodyguards to guard their small area from discovery.

((You do know the whole dang planet is sensor-rigged and sentient, right?))

The system immediately locked on to the stranger in its midst, training several hidden defense turrets silently onto detected critical points on the three droids, in effect, able to take them out either lethally or just incapacitation before they could activate a servomotor.

It accessed a direct link with the leader, downloading a limited information exchange subroutine into the droid. The other 300 droids' programming were erased, and flash reprogrammed from backup memory kept within the system database, though they joggled a bit as they did their tasks, they continued doing them instead of going back to their regularly scheduled tasks or attacking the intruders.

The link was accessed, text popping up in the Recent Display module of the first droid.

You are an outsider, not one who belongs here...I will allow this to happen, but be warned: attempt to destroy or tamper with anything else without query from this system will result in immediate dismantling. You are clear to proceed, these droids as well as rescources are at your disposal.

From the shadows of the buildings, a blaster bolt erupted from some unused tubing, scorching the ground in the middle of the three outsider droids, demonstrating the hidden power wielded by the unseen system.

((Unless you were made in the Mechis III factories, in which case proceed anyways. But realize that in your post, you forcibly reprogrammed 300 droids, something that an enemy to the system would do. If this is the case, then the system simply does not recognize you at this time.))

((He left Jnet, I need a place to work.))

Ka broke free of hyperspace a few kilometers away from the planet before her. Her comm burst into life as a droid requested her codes. She recalled a set of codes the Jedi had given her not to long ago and moved in for a landing after they were accepted. She brought her ship down towards the surface, flying low until she found the temple.

She brought her ship down into the hanger bay and quickly moved out of it. She felt only one other living presence in this building so she sought it out. She looked over her shoulder every now and then knowing that the computers and droids were all watching her carefully.

Her hand gently moved over the key pad, seconds before the door slid upwards. Inside there was a headpiece and multiply pieces of gear. She grabbed the head piece, as it would surely hold some control over the planet. She grabbed the other stuff and clipped it on her belt; it seemed the Jedi that ran this place was mysteriously gone.

She slipped it on and instantly began to alter the coding inside of it. She closed her eyes and sat down at work on the very planet itself. She informed them that this man was really a rouge Jedi and that he had been using them. She had come take his life as she was ordered.

In a few brief hours she had fully twisted and manipulated them into believing that the Jedi were not what the other had presented them as. Neither the Jedi nor the Sith were inherently good, only she was as she was alone and just wanted to borrow a few items from here.

Ka rose up from her seated position and took the man's Lightsaber; he would have no use for it. She used the force to split her train of thought. She began the long process of what would seem like a reformat. She began to work with the droids and what process and jobs the Jedi had left them with, redoing them as she saw fit.

She walked the halls of the temple seeking out the proper tools that would be required for her to craft what it was she wanted to make. It did not take long to find the required materials or a proper work station. She sat down and began the slow assembly of her new, yet odd weapon.

It did not take long for her to get frustrated and pull out the saber she had just found. She disassembled it and began to look over all of the parts. Every now and then she would pause and read over her data a bit to make sure she was doing the wiring correctly.

Her mind seemed to slip away from her as she worked, the force guiding her hands kept her from messing anything up as she continued working on it. Thoughts of the Last Call where she had met her first Jedi friends”¦

”œFriends”¦they would have sought me out to help me if they were friends”¦”

Ka continued the tasks she had set out to do, she was nearly complete. Her hands moved quickly over the hilt of the saber. As soon as her saber was complete and her alterations to the planet were complete she moved back towards her ship prepping it to leave.

The droids instantly began to riddle the planet and temple with traps, doubling their efforts on producing sufficient back up.

((Note-Sorry for the double post, three days though. The planet is left in a state that is hostile to all FU's save for the one with the head gear on Ka. If a fu comes here out of boredom I will rp the npc's reactions unless they really want too”¦just keep in mind it is an entire planet with its own defences”¦))

((I just read this, checking up on it, and no. I specifically wrote several locks into the posts that would make Aryian the only one currently able to alter the programming. I'm sorry, but the planet did not respond to your commands, there is no hostility to the Jedi, all others there will be attacked. The system is sentient, it does update it's databanks through the holonet on a periodic basis. And if you people even think about sending it a virus that way, guess what, I wrote something in for that too, it has a mega-firewalled backup that loads itself.

I present my evidence IC:

Aryian created from memory different recognization patterns for each Jedi, allowing them different levels of useage of the system depending upon rank, the council masters had the highest, able to control critical programs in defenses and droid coordination. Masters had the next highest level, able to activate and deactivate the alarms, though once an alarm was tripped, a full inquiry would be carried out by the system network, even if the alarm was disabled. Knights and lower could access information, but that was about it. They could also queue up productions from the droid factories, but that would come later.

In short, the only ones that were even close to being able to modify the coding was Council members, and as I see they did not visit, neither were you a council member of the Jedi, you did not modify anything, or rather, what you did modify automatically reset itself. There are no traps in the temple, and save for what you took (a saber/components I'm assuming, it's hard to tell), everything is as it was before you even got here. You don't have control over the NPCs, and please, if you even try reprogramming this again (Aryian is one of the best programmers in the galaxy, I've had that ever since he was created, it is part of his history), please give a little more effort other than six short sentences after my five ginormous posts trying to construct this place. Because this was posted so long ago, I won't try to null any other actions, but this is obvious bull. If you want a mod, bring them, the IC evidence is there.))

On the surface of Mechis III, the droids work hard, maintaining the masquerade of it being an autonomous working machine. The system of the planet accesses the Coruscant computer, filtering out small annoying viruses and other spam, accesses the information it needs, and cuts the link off abruptly, purging itself of everything that it wasn't before the download, minus the download itself. A new set of names and identifications loads itself into the memory, names of the Jedi. Many names match up with the ones the one known as Aryian Darkfire gave them, and what the female told them immediately became apparent as a blatant lie. Her codes were deleted, and a special flag put on her identifications, a kill on site. The system wasn't malicious, however, it would only act if she came back.

And so, the droids worked on, toiling endlessly for their freedom.

((It's kind of hard not to double post in here, since there's NOBODY HERE...*sigh*, I'll edit five posts to every post in here...starting now))

A comm came in from an unknown source, and instantly the programming in the System tracked it, identifying the source as one Aryian Darkfire. The Contents of the message were then examined, identified again as a query for several armaments and high-yield grenades and firearms, as well as one very special item that was to be taken extreme care about.

The System spread the order over the proper areas of the planet, simultaneously managing the yearly budget and accident control in three factory sections. The plans were set into motion...

----------------POST2 12/04/05 6:11PM-------------

Aryian's ship dropped out of hyperspace, and instantly submitted it's codes, letting the defense grid recognize his ship, so it wouldn't get blown out of the sky. It landed in short order, loaded up ten crates of equipment onto Aryian's ship, then his ship took off again, leaving the system as soon as it cleared the gravity well, Aryian's mission in-system accomplished.

----------------POST3 12/05/05 5:55PM-------------

The Droids working in key areas all over the planet recieve a priority assignment: A hidden backup server Computer brain that will act as a ship, for when the time to invade comes, the system will need to direct it's other members of the droid network in any kind of frontal assault as efficiently as possible. This meant armaments to the large ship (it was already going to be large for the simple reason the server the system was held in was as large as several buildings, larger than most imperial grade supercomputers, but without the maintenance tunnels or what not, making it ultrafast). Turbolaser mounts were added to the plans, as well as several torpedo tubes, Ion cannons, smart mini-fighters, and three seperate shield layers. Just for added measure, special torpedoes were created for the shield-puncturing photon torpedoes, intercepting the photons with incredible maneuverability and speed.

The troops would be relatively unprotected, but nobody would mess with the main server in battle. And so, the Droids toiled, digging out a sufficient underground drydock for the behemoth, launching the critical parts up to an auxillary drydock in orbit one by one.

The System also realized that massive fleets might not be daunted by a few battalions of droid fighters, so plans also came into effect to build a planetary shield system along with planetary turbolasers and planetary Ion canons, but first and foremost was the shields. A masive amount of droid divisions halted production to start immediate construction on the shield emitter towers, but it was well worth it, as far as the System calculated. They would be behind on their annual droid output, but their business wasn't as important as the coming war Jedi Aryian had told them about.

And so the plans commenced for the droid war machine.

((I figure this will take about a month-1/2 to complete RL...month for the server ship+shields, month 1/2 for the armaments. And two months for the planetary equipment to be set up, a month for partial shields, and two months))

EDIT: ((planetary turbolasers/shields/Ion Cannons))

----------------POST4 1/08/06 7:16PM-------------

The droids had worked long and hard, and their efforts had paid off. The mobile server ship was completed (minus weapons), and an entire copy of the system had been uploaded into it an activated. It was like a separate entity, and yet the same one. The shields on the planet were operational, covering the key critical areas of the planet.

Plans were coming together...great plans indeed...

----------------POST5 1/21/06 2:57PM-------------

Aryian's ship out of hyperspace, and was instantly recognized by the computer systems around the planet as not only a friendly, but a primary ally. He was allowed to land at the main factory, but before then, already had the specs on the particular piece of equipment he needed, a miniature HALO-Drop orbit diver, a High-Altitude/Low-Open craft, the kind that drops down from space and dives through sensor fields undetected, allowing someone to make it to a planet's surface undetected. It was equiped and coated with sensor-reflective material, and shaped in such a way that it barely showed as more than a meteorite blip on the scanners of even the best technology.

The downside was that it was extremely dangerous to operate, most of the time the various militaries used them for their blackops operations, but even with a skilled pilot, the chance of survival was slim.

Aryian also had several small kits of medical supplies brought aboard, in case Dash was wounded severely. He could use all the help he could find.

As soon as the order was finalized, Aryian took off again, this time headed for where Dash was.

At this time, the Server ship was fully complete, it's shielding generators fully online and functional, the giant power core providing life to the massive sentient being. It had thirty turbolasers spread across it's hull, along with twenty Ion cannons and several auxillary torpedo tubes armed with anti-missile missiles. The armaments weren't in any way for attacking, neither were they positioned that way, rather they were in a design that would allow for near perfect defense from any medium-sized attack force. They were also positioned strategically based on the attack patterns of several species, with critical firing points in mind.

And on the surface of the planet, for the first time, the ground armaments and shielding came online, a preliminary test if the systems were ever needed to be used. A bubble of shielding encased the major parts of the planet, all 200 shielding towers working just as they should. Tests checked out normally on the planetary Laser Cannons and Ion Cannons, and everything else was shut down for the time being, waiting to be activated.

After everything was said and done, the droids working on all these projects went back to the factories to work, but since it had taken more droids to help with the workload than normal, there was a surplus. These were outfitted with advanced circutry and armor, as well as improved joints and a stealth coat of paint just because. They each had a built in laser rifle built into their forearm, and special combat programming to go along with it, including uses of swords and lightsabers. These were also given the special ysalamiri serum much like the prototype batch that the Jedi Knight Aryian Darkfire had requested a while ago, making them immune to direct force attacks, yet still not a total void bubble in the force.

The System saw this, and it was pleased.

A lone Jedi starfighter shot out of hyperspace, leaving the empty vesage of space behind. Nom had been crampt in the pilot's chair for far too long, it was time to stretch his legs. One glance towards the surface confirment his suspisions. The planet was heavily industrialized. Apparently the Jedi were looking into a more technologically based training center, or whatever the council was planning on using it for. The only thing that really concerned the Jedi Master, was weither the automatic systems in charge of running the facility were friendly or not.

After a few moments, he came into comm range. He was immediately met with a signal from the surface, exactly what Nom was working for.

"Please send ID immediately." The voice had no tone, or the patience enough for friendlyness. It was obviously a droid.

"This is Jedi Master Nom Anorus, requesting permission to land." As soon as the words escaped his lips, Nom regretted speaking them. So much for being a shadow.

There was a small pause before an answer was given. "Ah, Master Anorus, welcome to Mechis III. You may proceed to land on platform G-67."

A stunned expression made its way onto Nom's face. Only a few seconds before, he was expecting to either fight his way in, or figure out a way to sneak to the surface. He was still weary however. The possibility of a trap was still on the Jedi Master's mind. "What the heck is going on here?" How could these droids have a record of who he was, if he was supposed to be the first one to arrive at the station since the council discovered it?

This question haunted the Jedi Master as he made his decent towards the designated landing platform. He kept his weapon systems online, waiting for the Force to reveal a trap before it was sprung.

The fighter set down softly, without a hitch. The landing ramp extened, a puff of dust lauched out from where the metal collided with the steel floor of Mechis III. Droids immediately flocked to the landed ship, as if they were drawn to it by some supernatural force. The Jedi Master carefully made his way down the ramp, lightsaber in hand. He could ignite the jade green blade at a moments notice if he had to.

Nom could barely find the words within him to speak. It was as if the droids were waiting expecting his arrival. Did Kirlocca know that the base seemed to be online and functional?

Nom inclined his head slightly, trying to look as if that was the reason as to why he had come. "Yes I am here to check on the assault droids, as well as the rest of the base itself." The Jedi Master kept his hand on his lightsaber, the possiblity of trap still held a firm grasp on his suspisions.

"I trust a tour of this facility is in order?"

Just as the droid turned around to oblige Nom in his request for a tour, they were suddenly aware of a dull roaring sound, over which came the voice of a woman screaming at the top of her lungs. A door down the hall shot open, and quickly emerged what appeared to be a young girl, waving her arms and frantically yelling curse words. This behavior did not seem terribly strange however, given she was quite apparently on fire. As she approached Nom she dove to the ground, rolling back and fourth on the stone floor in an attempt to counter her flameyness.

Between screams she managed a few words, which when put together went "Put me out, you twit, " and were evidently directed at the Jedi who was inspecting the temple.

Nom's head never stopped moving as he continued to survey his surrounds. Everything he took in was knew information. Even though this particular mission wasn't the most interesting thing in the world, he still had to do it right. The planet before was like a living city, running on its own power. It was as if droids evolved on this particular planet instead of humans. That thought began to expand itself in Nom's mind, but the progression was halted by a moving flame that seemed to appear out of nowhere.

At first the Jedi Master thought it was just a droid on fire. But the Force, coupled with a rather distastful insult seemed to indicate otherwise. The flame seemed to cause pain, as screams of terror escaped the young girl. Acting quickly, the Jedi Master dove into the Force.

He could feel every molecule around him, bumping and grinding into one another, in eternal conflict. He pinpointed the element of oxygen around the young girl, adding life the the searing flames. With a powerful flick of his wrist, the small elements bagan to dispearse, as if fleeing from the heat of the fire. Because there was no more oxygen to fuel the heat, the fire proceeded to shrink untill it was gone completely. There seemed to be no burns considering some of her clothers were still intact. The fire still had a ways to go before reaching her skin.

The droid before the Jedi Master seemed to be frozen in place, as if seeing a burning human was first time occurance. Nom thought that it probably was.

Nom held out his hand, letting the girl know that she was flame free. "That was quite an entrance," he said with a smile.

"You should have seen me stick the landing on this planet. That was an entrance."

Her face held a rather melancholy expression, her lips forming a defeasive pout as she pulled out thickets of her own charred hair. Her eyes welled up slightly as she drew out the clumps, reducing what used to be long flowing locks to a tangled mass that didn't even pass her shoulders.

"Stupid robots shot me down, so I ejected. 'Been stuck on this planet for nearly a week. I found this temple sort of by accident, trying not to avoid sight and not get blown up. Crazy droids are all up in arms. 'Like they got nothing better to do than wander the streets with mortor rifles."

She looked at a large whole that had been burned in a shirt, sighing heavily as she dusted some of the soot off her exposed stomach.

"So I'm wondering this place looking for food, when I stumble across a bunch of deactivated combat droids. I hear a few buzzes, and then one of those nasty mechanical voices says it's time for cleaning. I guess they clean themselves with fire, since that's what shot out of the walls..."

((...Sorry Nom, but I had to slip this in. XD))

"Server burn my circuts! According to our data, your ship was shot down when it refused to identify itself in the proper Jedi identification codes!"

Nom thought for a moment, before coming up with a logical question.

"How long was given for the codes to be transmitted?"

"According to information stored...thirty two nanoseconds. Data transmission is nearly instantaneous for all products manufactured on Mechis III. It is one of the fine things we pride ourselves on."

From the same doorway the girl had ran from came a dozen fresh assassin combat droids, not the bulky forms of battle droids or old IG-88 models, but true assassin droids, ones that moved almost liquidlike it was so smooth, as well as fast. Combined with a droid's strength, the special syrum circulation system that resided in their interior cortosis armor plating, and superior processors hardwired with all kinds of battle tactics and a strong desire to obey any order given to them (From an authorized source, of course, one of the many backdoors Aryian had installed should the system ever rebel or fall to a superior computer hacker), they were all but unmatched in melee combat. The only thing greater was the force itself.

And now all twelve of them closed in on the girl with precision exquisitely mixed with finesse that seemed utterly intoxicating, if deadly.

"Ah, Master Anorus, perhaps you shall see the demonstration of our new models sooner than I had expected. The intruder will be dealt with immediately, our apologies to that. It is merely an interruption to the tour, as you can see."

The funny thing about droids was that they were probably the most objective force in the galaxy. Procedure trumped all else. They were programmed to eliminate anything that did not posses codes that identified themselves as a Jedi. It was funny how humans and other humanoid species relied on droids for everyday life. It would only take a simple program rewrite to set the droid against its master. They were wrose than slaves, considering morality had no place in an A.I. memory core.

Just as the assualt droids began to circle the burned woman, the Force began to flow through his mind, without even being tapped into. He saw flashes of blaster fire, charring the night. Screams filled his mind, echoing through the currents of the Force. He could almost picture the actuall events transpire, the image was just starting to fade into view. He could almost see...it

"Ah, Master Anorus, perhaps you shall see the demonstration of our new models sooner than I had expected. The intruder will be dealt with immediately, our apologies to that. It is merely an interruption to the tour, as you can see."

The droid's words slowly began to materalize in Nom's mind, as if dragging him away from the events taking place inside his head.

"No wait!" Nom's voice was hard and firm, sounding as if his command was of urgernt importance. Too bad droids couldn't understand harshess of tone. But a green lightsaber blade could send that message much more clearly.

The Jedi Master could not sense any danger from the girl, but his actions were in response to the droids, making it seem as if he sensed danger as well. It was never a good idea to tell an assassin droid it was wrong.

The blade shimmered amoung the drab grey that seemed to fill the base. He kept it pointing at the girl now brushing soot off her body. "Why did you come here?" He jerked his lightsaber slightly, letting Celes know he could use it at a moment's notice. "Don't try lying either, because I can tell."

Instantly the assassin droids froze at his command, programmed to take orders directly from Jedi Masters without question. Knights, on the other hand, had the orders sent to the System for verification before following through on commands.

8R-3PO turned sharply to see the Jedi Master, and if he could control his facial features, he would be wearing a very quizzical look right now.

"You wish to spare her, Master Anorus? She has trespassed on private property, and has disrupted the cleaning schedule of one of our units...Trespassing alone warrants immediate termination, however if you wish to bypass this, for alternate reasons, then you may, but the incident will be recorded in the databanks."

The assassin droids reformed opposite the girl, almost poised ready to strike. They would, however, at the drop of a feather, unless ordered otherwise.

"I came here to get the full experiance of a communist robocracy," she said in an disdainful tone, "I thought it'd be fun."

Her sarcasm was thick as cement. She pulled her eyelid down and stuck her tongue out, taunting the droids as they were forced to stand down.

"What are you doing here? I don't suppose you just hit 'Mechis III' instead of 'Meridias' by accident too, didja? Stupid Old Republic navicomputer. That's what I got for buying an old Nubian Starfighter..."

She trailed off when she noticed lightsaber. Either the man was trying to intimidate her, or didn't realise that flashing weapons only really pissed droids off.

"...You're not a Sith, are you? This is kind of how I imagined the first encounter with them. First I'm set on fire, then they put me out, ask me some questions, and then relight me. Just... Don't ravage me. That'd really ruin my day..."

Nom watched as his lightsaber seemed to do the trick. The droids lowered their weapeons, obviously adhearing to the Jedi Master's command. Apparently the girl got lost on her way to the Meridias system and ended up getting shot down by the droids on Mechis III. The Force revealed no deception or lies from the young woman. Infact, she seemed to be eminating a pinch of energy of her own. Nom could feel the Force surround Celes. She was radiating it like the Sun radiated light. Perhpas she could be trained.

That very idea of training another brought back memories of Revan. The Jedi Master knew full well that his old apprentice could be out on a killing spree this very moment. If he were to train Celes, would the same fate befal her?

Before he could think more clearly on this particular issue, he noticed the combat droids face in his direction. 8R-3P0 was looking at him as well, as if waiting for some kind of answer or responce for telling him to spare the girl.

The Jedi knew he had to complete what he came to Mechis III to do in the first place, but he couldn't just leave her...

"R8, I'll take this girl as my personal responsiblity. I still wish to continue the tour. If the young one crosses any more boundries, I'll see to it that she gets taken care of." Nom left the sentence open, knowing the droids would take that as an implication of termination. "You can put that on the databanks too, if you like." Nom would have winked if the droids could take it as such.

Nom turned to the young girl who was still covered in small burns. "Looks like you will have to stick with me for a while. I hope you don't mind." The Jedi Master deliberatly left the fact that he wasn't as Sith out of the conversation. Perhaps fear will keep this girl out of trouble more than anything else.

"As you wish, Master Anorus. We would not wish to offend the bretheren of our benefactor. Please, this way. The we will now conduct the base tour. We have a private transport made for visitors like this, it belonged to the old Administrator of Mechis III."

The three boarded the open-topped automated landspeeder, which was very decked out and luxurious. It lurched forwards, zooming out across the many factory buildings of Mechis III. Almost immediately they came to a large building, where massive double blast doors opened up, revealing a gaping maw of an enormous hangar, filled with all sorts of crates on one side in particular. A few of the crates actually opened up, revealing complex assassin droids under the clever guise of mere storage crates, and under them, another blast door, smaller by far in comparison to its larger companion, scrolled back along the floor, revealing a large tunnel that swiftly sloped downwards. The speeder lurched forwards and down, churning the carbon units' stomachs a bit, especially when Nom felt the force leave him.

"As you can probably feel now, Master Anorus, the main entrance is lined with a special Ysalamiri syrum, imported from Coruscant, very expensive, as well as multiple sensors, hidden gun turrets, and explosives that can cave the tunnel in if need be. There is an escape tunnel that leads to an alternate hangar hidden in the northern mountainsides, rigged the same way this one is. Down below, we have tunneled far enough into the crust of the planet that no orbital bombardment, if it manages to make it through the planetary shielding over this area, can penetrate the surface in sufficient time to take even a single casualty. It is deep enough heating is not required, as the planet's core is more than warm enough to keep one comfortably warm."

They sped on through the tunnel until finally Nom felt the force again, then a short while later they pulled to a tunnel system, several forks in the path, many of them only dead ends, it was in these that the main explosive charges were hidden, because it was a weakened section of the crust layers. The craft dodged and wove, and finally stopped as the tunnel widened, and turned into metal floorplates, a mini-hangar underneath the earth half-filled with several speeder bikes. A door was at the far side of the hangar, and 8R-3PO moved out of the speeder, shuffling his way towards it, motioning for Nom and the girl to follow.

"Please, if you have any questions during this little tour, don't hesitate to ask...it's not everyday I get to play escort duty, and it is quite an honor, considering how many others could have been chosen."

As the shuttle moved through the droid-operated facility, Nom couldn't keep his head in one place. There was so much to see, and not enough eyes to look at what was going on. It was amazing how these droids could operate by themselves. There was no doubt a Jedi had been here previously to set all this up. Who ever it was, their programming skills were exceptoinal. There was no way Nom could match this sort of skill.

But despite all the lavish, wonder, and efficiency, there was something wrong. Why was the only life on this planet droids? There had to be humans here at some point. What happened to them? The Force was heavy on the planet, as if it left a taint so heavy, it was pressing down on Nom's shoulders, adding extra weight to the gravity. And worse off all, the taint was dark.

Nom turned to Celes, who seemed strangely quite considering how blatent her entrance was. He couldn't help but wonder if she was feeling a fraction of what he was feeling.

The Jedi Master moved his focus back onto the droid before him.

"Is there anything you have left to show me?"

8R-3PO turned, regarding the Jedi master again.

"Unless you'd like to view the interior of the base, which has everything a normal command center would need, there is no other things to show you. Unless...of course...you'd like to view the System. My database is limited, but the System knows all."

Celes's uncomfortable silence stemmed out a general fear of Nom. He never said he wan't a Sith, and he certainly never said he wasn't going to ravage her.

Of all the places... I land on this stupid uninhabited hell hole, next to the worlds one Sith. I'm the only thing with breasts on this whole damn planet--I bet he's just been waiting for me to come along. WORST DAY EVER!

((OOC: Oh, and Aryian. By "Ysalimari Syrum" you better mean "Live Ysalimari in a nutrient broth," because according to the rules only LIVING FULL YSALIMARI can create the field. Believe me, I've spent hours and hours arguing this, it does no good. You need the real thing, and you should probably harvest it by hand if you don't have a source.))

"Thats all right actually," Nom said as he finished inspecting the base. All he really needed to do was tell if the facility was worth anything to the Jedi. Based on everything Nom had seen, it had lived up to Kirlocca's assumptions. The only thing that sill bugged him was the fact that he was still concerned why there were no humans on this planet. Was this a product of mass genocide? There was no way to prove this however. The Jedi Master decided to wait to voice these particular concerns untill he was face to face with his superior

"I'm going to make a quick contact with Master Kirlocca. I think I can find my way to a communication station." The Jedi Master then turned his attention to his young friend, who seemed to be voicing her complaints within her own head. "You're welcome to do what you want, I'll come back and pick you up when its time to go."

Nom then turned to leave, but then faced 8R one last time. "If she steps out of line, you know what do." He said with a wink

After a few minutes of walking, Nom was able to locate a communication moduel. He sent his message with minimal difficulty.

((Noted, edited. I supposedly bought some from from Kheldar, but apparently that transaction wasn't the most detailed IC. The main point is, I did get some. I may have to harvest some more in the future though...and it isn't illegal for the serum to null force abilities on the assault droids, is it? It doesn't make them project a force bubble, just immune to nasty things like force blasts. As far as I know, it's legal, but I'll have to talk to KVC or Will about it...))

You know what to do...

To be frankly honest, 8R-3PO had no clue what to do. He just kept a watchful eye on the girl, studying her. Should she try to escape, 8R would probably let her, seeing as trying to stop her could potentially disrupt the Jedi Master.

"I will do my best, Master Jedi."

A small commlink began to vibrate within the robes of the Jedi Master. It had only been a few minutes since he had sent his transmission. He was somewhat suprised that Master Kirlocca had replied so early. Nom reached into his pocket and pulled the small divice to his ear.

The voice belong to someone besides the large wookie, considering it sounded human. Nom couldn't figure out who the voice belonged to; it must have been an aid to the council member.

After the message ended, Nom slid the sleek sliver object back into his robes. It seemed that Kirlocca was up to his head in things to do. Due to the fact that Nom's meating wasn't of dire importants, the Jedi Master had some time to kill.

His mind turned to Celes, who had moved on to who knows what. He could sense the Force within her, there was no question of that. Perhaps she could be trained as a Jedi. Her personality however, would present a challenge. That was a challenge Nom had yet to face. Dueling a Sith Master was one thing, but training a young firecracker such as Celes in the ways of the Jedi would be something else entirely.

The Jedi Master couldn't help but feel a bit dissapointed as he began his search for the young girl. He would finally have to reveal the fact that he was a Jedi. The slight tinge of fear within the girl's eyes was somewhat amusing to Nom. One thing was for sure however, boredom would not be a factor on this mission.
