JediRP Canon History: Bakura was the home base of Open Sky, a vigilante organization during the days of the New Republic.

Old description:

Bakura was settled some 153 years before the Battle of Endor, with a second wave of colonization near the end of the Clone Wars. This second wave was attributed to the fact that Count Dooku used Bakura as a base of operations, some seventeen months after the Battle of Geonosis. Initial settlements were established by the Bakur Corporation, and Bakura was ruled by a Prime Minister and Senate. It was re-discovered by the Empire's Imperial Study Survey 60774 and placed under Imperial control about three years before the Battle of Endor. The planet was known for its exports of repulsorlift parts, fruit candy, and liqueur. Bakura was located on the edge of the Rim worlds, the third in a system of eight planets. It is a lush, forested world not unlike Endor, with two moons. Both moons had been heavily mined for materials used in the construction of the second Death Star. Because of its location on the opposite side of the galaxy from the Corporate Sector, shipments between Bakura and the Corporate Sector were routed through Bothan space to avoid the dense gravity mass of the Core Worlds. During the height of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of the galaxy, the Bakuran people were fooled into allowing the Keeramak to consecrate their planet for the P'w'eck Emancipation Movement. In reality, the Keeramak consecrated the planet - known now as Xwhee - to the Ssi-ruuk, as part of an elaborate plot hatched by the Yuuzhan Vong. The consecration of Bakura as Xwhee meant that the Ssi-ruuk could attack the planet without the fear of dying on a pagan world.

((OOC: This is the home base of Open Sky, and should fall under the month-long grace period of secrecy from this day, and not the date of the original post. Thank you and have a good day.))

It had been quite a while indeed since the estranged Rebel capital ships, along with their defences, "booty", and starfighters, had arrived at the remote world of Bakura. The local population was small enough that the newly-arrived forces were quickly able to negotiate access to a suitable section of the southern continent, as well as an area on one of Bakura's moons that had been played out of minerals. In exchange for protection of the world, the locals had agreed to furnish paid workers to build the base, a statute of secrecy, and access to local trade and the benefits of protecting off-world shipments and other minutiae. Colonel Max Wilton, Forn's good friend and officer in command of the Rejuvinator, had overseen the negotiations, and all parties had been suitably satisfied with the agreement...provided the rest of Open Sky agreed to the treaty. Forn herself had been there to help in the preliminary setup, and upon being satisfied that the base's plans were up to scratch, she had gone back to Coruscant to meet her companions.

It had been a short time after Forn had left that the real work had begun on the base. As the Golan platforms had been set up and the minefield dispersed, workers from the ex-Rebel ships were joined by a brigade of locals to begin full-scale construction. The first part of the base would be simple enough: deep in the forest several small command structures poked from the tree canopy, each topped with sensors that could pinpoint an enemy craft approaching from as far as the Endor system. Several planetary-scale turbolaser and ion cannon batteries were begun, as well as the beginnings of several starfighter hangers blasted into the sides of nearby mountains. The instillation proper would be buried underground, and plans were drawn up for an energy shield of enough power to deflect any spaceborne bombardment which would be built as soon as resources allowed.

On the small area of Bakura's second moon that Open Sky's agents had secured, the tech looted from one of the captured frigates was offloaded and put into storage until suitable facilities for analysis and reproduction could be set up. While the base itself was still being carved out, the various crews and starfighter pilots were taking it in turn to enjoy shore leave on the world below, and when on duty, were doing their best to keep the ships in good order until proper port facilities could be set up and put into action. Some of the officers waited somewhat impatiently for the leadership to join them, but all in all things were keeping far too busy for much idle speculation to occur...

Soon enough, however, things were getting rightly on track; it was only a matter of time before Open Sky was ready to embark upon its intended mission...

OOC: Sorry for the delay, guys. Real life is so crazy right now!

IC: The YT-2400 carrying the Open Sky leadership popped out of hyperspace over Bakura and settled down for a perfectly graceful landing.

Brina stood up and moved back to the main hold. "We've arrived on Bakura," she announced.

As the ship settled upon the landing platform, Forn made her way quickly to the cockpit, and input a series of command codes to alert the ground staff that this ship was friendly and bore their leaders.

"It's good to see you again, Forn," replied the crackled voice of Max Wilton. "I'm sending out an honor guard to recieve you and escort the leadership into the base. We're putting the finishing touches on it now..."

"Very good, Max," the woman replied. "We'll be out shortly." And with that, she terminated the short-range comm, strode back out of the cockpit, and roused her companions. "Alright everyone, we're home. Let's get our stuff together and settle in." Forn, of course, had little more then the clothes on her back; everything else had been left here from her last visit.

----------------------------

As the Corellian freighter sat at its assigned landing platform, a platoon of smartly-dressed Marines marched forth from the nearby underground entrance, and formed up in two rows from the boarding ramp. Armed with empty rifles, they fell into a shoulder-arms position, and at the end of the small corridor of men stood a man dressed in a plain gray uniform adorned only by colonel's bars on his shoulders. Aged somewhat beyond his forty-five years, Colonel Max Wilton was a broad-shouldered, ramrod-backed epitone of discipline and fairness, who had proved himself an effective capital ship commander. As a respected friend of Forn Dodonna, he had used his skills to help in many prior battles, including the assault on Artus, the liberation of Coruscant, and the battle at Sanity's End.

When Forn had returned to Coruscant to meet with the rest of the Open Sky leadership, he had taken charge of completing the Bakuran operation. The main base, for all intents and purposes, was finished; its mostly underground structures had been equipped and furnished with the latest technology. The computer systems throughout all of the Bakuran instillation had been updated with the latest security measures, and the weapons systems and other defenses had been placed effectively. In addition, sensor posts and emergancy starfighter hangers had been placed on both of Bakura's moons; as well, on the smaller of the two moons, a small technical analysis station was being built, housed seperately in an abandoned mine far below the surface.

The only thing that needed to be set up now was the defense shield. Other then that, the defenses at this point consisted thusly:

1 planetary minefield: mines are self-powered and target-descretionary (simple AI enables them to lock onto an enemy ship en masse and overpower it).

3 Golan III defense platforms

2 Planetary ion cannons

5 Planetary turbolaser battaries

Several starfighter hangers in various, hidden locations, each able to hold a wing of six squadrons.

Now all that needed to be done was to delegate just who was in charge of what...

Tycho's eyes widened ever so slightly as he walked down the boarding ramp, thanking Brina Thalin, their pilot, on the way. We have an entire army??? he thought incredulously.

Then again, he added, this was Forn he was talking about. She was expected to have made such preparations. Still, it wasn't the approach that Tycho had expected to take with Open Sky. This put things in a little bit of a different perspective.

Rather than a small mercenary outpost, the base on Bakura looked like one that even the Galactic Empire would feel the credit loss on. Tycho grinned. "Forn," he said, "I'm giving you command of the fleet-based ships...assuming that there is, in fact, a fleet up there. That is your area of expertise. I will directly command the ground forces and base operations...I intend to serve among them."

He also wanted to give Renn a small amount of command, seeing as he already had experience with the Alliance, whereas the others were little more than mercenaries. They would be the backbone of the fighters...and almost all the operations Tycho had in mind required only a small team of highly specialized agents...meaning him, Renn, Vash, and Jarnok.

Anyway, he doubted that Forn would want to go into combat with a blaster rifle and armor when she could be directing the operations from the background and providing support.

Forn nodded at Tycho's astonishment upon seing the base and just what she had brought to the table, but otherwise she kept her feelings hidden quite expertly. This man, she could tell, was a rank beginner at leadership; though he obviously had enthusiasm for the job, the experienced commander that was Forn Dodonna wondered to herself if he would have what it takes to lead a real down-and-dirty campaign like she was anticipating. Only time would tell on that, but for now, Forn was happy to be put back into her element in the role of fleet commander.

As she dismounted the ship's boarding ramp, followed by Tycho and the rest of the crew, the platoon of Marines came to attention with a loud chorus of clicking noises, and Colonel Wilton strode forward to meet his commander, who returned his salute. Forn was keeping her distance from the rest, however, as the group made their way into the base (the Marines would remain where they were for now), as she had a couple things to tell the good Colonel in the semi-privacy of the breezeway. "Make sure the men know that we're not an official military faction," she wispered to Wilton as they walked. "That means they need to start dressing the part; I want them back in civilian clothes within two days."

"What about our uniforms?" Max asked, somewhat surprised at Forn's order. "How will we know officers from the enlisted?"

"That's the thing, Max," she continued, unabashed at her friend's astonishment. "We're no longer officers -- not you, not I, not even that platoon leader back there -- we're all mercenaries now. And the enlisted, they chose to accompany us, and I want them to see themselves as equal in value to us. The soldiers will keep their armor, naturally, but the rest need to start thinking of themselves as free citizens. We can no longer think of them as we did before, Max...those days are gone. Tycho Kosk is in overall command, and I want you and the rest of the officers and men to respect that."

"I must admit, Forn," Max began, still somewhat nonplussed, "that this is making me a bit uneasy. I would much prefer to keep to the traditions and discipline of a formal army, but I do see your point. With our little scism with the Alliance, we can no longer claim governmental authority. But I hope we can at least get them to be friends of ours..."

"I don't think that will be a problem," Forn replied, smiling broadly. "I've done too much for them in the past to be totally alienated from their good graces."

The two former officers were the first into the base proper, and without wasting any time, Forn followed Max into a nearby turbolift that would take them down to the primary command center deep underground. When she arrived in the small complex of equipment-filled rooms, the familiar buzz of activity, of messangers running to and fro, of the scattered barking of orders, of the steady thrumming of computer monitors, and finally the various noises of droids doing basic tasks. At last, she was back in familiar psychological territory...

When the rest of the Open Sky leadership arrived in the command center, they could move off to a small conference room, where the real business at hand could be hashed out.

Vash exited the ship, bored as usual. It didn't have anything to do with his surroundings. Vash was an intellectual by nature, and most of what he deemed short-lived sentients were unable to match his intelligence. Even among his own people he had been considered a genius in his field. (As well as insane, but that's another story)

Vash had spent most of his youth as a researcher and then an anthropologist amongst his people. Anthropologists were the only ones permitted to leave the planet, so studying was his way to escape. Vash was the first of his kind to venture openly amongst the other races for purposes other than the increase of knowledge, he was the first of his people to carry a weapon, he was the first to pursue monetary gains, and he was the first to kill another living creature. Vash had already lived a long life compared to most other sentients, but he still had twice that left in him. The Shi'ido expected he would commit a lot more firsts before too long.

Turning his attention away from the past, the assassin examined his surroundings.

Their operation seems impressive thus far. Once they get me going on a real project I can fully evaluate whether they are going to make any headway against the gathering onslaught of darker factions. Creating more balance in the galaxy, as well as making a little cash on the side, is the whole reason I'm here.

Tycho walked towards the command center, watching as Forn took aside the commander of the marine force before him. He was slightly uncomfortable by their uniformity and precision. He had come to command a mercenary group, not an army.

But, he realized, perhaps that was what Forn was discussing with the Colonel anyway. The Corellian continued forward into the command center, where he looked around with a thoughtful look upon his face. It would take a little getting used to, but he would definately be able to take the kind of leadership role required here. He had to.

Tycho found a conference room, peeked inside to get a feel for it, then stood outside the door to wait for the members he had gathered as well as any persons of significance outside what he had brought from Coruscant.

The purpose of the meeting would be to decide how to begin making SEED and the Empire put Open Sky on their opponent list. He didn't want them to find out about the base here, but not only could it defend itself, but he wanted it clear what kind of organization the Open Sky would be. Making enemies was the best way to do it.

He then intended to, by means of sabotage, blackmail, and other dubious methods, create internal strife in these factions of evil until they literally tore themselves apart. With Forn's military strategy, his fleet would harrass enemy ships and destroy convoys, generally making things rough on the Empire and SEED and perhaps the Black Sun.

As Renn left The Link's Corellian freighter, he had a grin slowly spreading across his face the entire time in which they were heading to the command center for a final meeting.

Open Sky appeared to be comprised mostly of the Rebel troops that had followed Forn's desertion from the Rebellion, including a few late recruits (example: the group that had joined together on Coruscant). This didn't surprise Renn, though the majority of mercenaries still moved like Rebels. He shrugged; it was just as well for them to retain their military precision and discipline. That training was an advantage that few mercenaries had, and relying on their discipline could keep them alive.

As Renn entered the conference room, he chuckled softly; Puffi Maa glanced curiously at him, clearly not seeing what was humorous. You're one to talk about military discipline, Renn... He smiled and nodded towards Tycho and Forn, eager to get the bureaucracy over and done with.

"Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges!"

Jarnok picked up his satchel, and slung it over his shoulder, before disembarking the ship that had brought them here, and moving to the conference room with the others. He had some ideas of how to make himself useful when he wasnt on mission. He was sure this force could use 500 elite soldiers, and he could train them easily. On top of that, one of his passions in life was discovering new technologies, or how to use existing ones, and improve or combine them. He would take alot of pride in constructing a unit of extremely elite men, from the ground up, designing all of their weaponary and armour himself.

Sitting down at the table, he waited politely for the meeting to start.

Seeing that everyone was now present and accounted for, Forn Dodonna pressed a pair of buttons in sequence. At this, two things happened: in the wall immediately behind her, the door to a hidden compartment slid upwards, and a bipedal combat droid, about seven feet tall and bearing no visible weapons, emerged and promptly folded itself into a bundle below the table. As this happened, the conference room door closed, and a faint but steady humming noise overtook the room.

"Bugproofers," Forn said matter-of-factly. "State-of-the-art, and the droid is a little something special I procured for myself. Also, I've got one for each of you should you want them. They're "emissary droids", if you catch my meaning." At this last pronouncement, Forn gave a not-so-subtle wink.

"Now then, allow me to cut to the chase. Open Sky, despite all you see here, is in the red. We owe the Rebellion a lot of credits still, and though I've worked out a deal with the locals, we still owe them as well. Tycho, you are correct, we did get these troops from the Rebellion. They followed me willingly when I broke formal ties with the Alliance, but we all still respect them, and the new government that they are attempting to set up. I estimate our troop strength to be about thirty-two hundred men, from assorted Marine units within the Alliance.

"And you are also correct that we do have a fleet of sorts. We have with us three Mon Calamari MC90a cruisers, two Nebulon-B frigates bearing captured ID codes, twenty-five Skipray Blastboats, and twenty-four TIE Defenders. Enough force to take on SEED and beat the tar out of them easily in a straight-up fight, but you all know as well as I do that they don't play that way. However, I digress.

"What we need to do right now is secure some funds. We need to start engaging in a few friendly acts of piracy, preferably against the Empire but that's your call, but preferrably so whoever becomes our victim won't be able to track or identify us. Fortunately, I've been working on that as well." Not wanting to take any chances, Forn began to hand datapads to her four companions. "These padds contain the outline of my plan, as well as maps to the base. Commit them to memory, then destroy the padds as soon as possible. Tycho, I submit this plan to your approval, and if you have any alterations to suggest, let me know."

Satisfied that she had covered all the basics from her end, Forn sat at her place, and waited for the next person to speak.

Having memorised that pad, he set it on the desk, before drawing his combat knife and burying it in the pad. Winking at forn, he sheathed his knife, and sat back in the chair, waiting for the proceedings, and the proper time to bring his ideas to the forefront.

Vash studied the contents of the datapad carefully. Being shapeshifters, Shi'ido had very detailed photographic memory. He only needed to read through it once, before he deleted its contents.

Ik weet niet of houd ik van dit plan.

Vash was only a lowly assassin for hire, but he couldn't hold his tongue.

"It all seems a bit risky, but I think it could work. I don't like the idea of anything we do coming to a fleet battle though. I am fully confident in the size and strength of those ships you described. Nonetheless, we must avoid that at all costs, espionage and secrecy are much more affective."

Tycho memorized the data and deleted the files except for the base map. He would need that in the future. He thought the plan over. Yes, Vash would already be coming in handy. He was slightly annoyed that Forn was already planning the first mission, but he didn't let it show.

He spoke. "A well-conceived plan. To qualm your fears," he continued, looking at Vash, "we shouldn't have to do a whole lot of fleet fighting ourselves. If I follow this correctly, all we'll be doing is getting SEED into a war, though not with us." He couldn't help but smile evilly slightly at the end of his statement.

The Corellian had to admit that he was still a little preocupied with the base itself. It was very nice, not at all what he had expected. What he had had in mind was some tiny mercenary base. But this was that much better. With its recources, he felt a huge restriction removed.

"Another advantage of this plan would be that if we hit some convoys, we could board and take some loot to help repay our debts concerning this base," he said with another slight smile.

Deciding now would be an appropriate time to speak his mind, he did exactly that.

"While i might not be a leader, i am definately a researcher. If it is alright with everyone, i would like to take 500 or so men, and design their training, armour and weaponary specially for space battles and boarding. Instead of a ship being forced to connect with another ship, in order to board them, we could simply deploy these 500 men, who would latch onto the ship, group on its outer hull, and then cut their way in.

I think i could produce an effective prototype of one of these men within a fortnight, and then i could have them all trained and tested within another month or two.

If there is any research or training that needs to be done, this is my specialty."

"I find your offer intriguing, Jarnok," Tycho said. "I will grant your request. I'm sure Forn will be able to find a group suitable to your purposes. I'd like to enact this plan very soon, however, so unless you want to miss out on all the fun you may have to delay your research a little."

The Corellian noted this about Jarnok. It truly was unique, and he wouldn't expect to find a man like this working as a mercenary. He was more suited to work with major organizations. However, Tycho remembered, the infamous Rane Scando also trained troops for the Rebellion at one point.

Again Tycho realized that he was truly fortunate to have received the assets that he had and looked to the future with nothing but optimism.

Forn listened intently to the reactions the gathered party had to her plan. It was risky, that much was true, but if basic precautions were enacted and maintained, then even if the hoped-for war did not occur, their hand in this would remain undiscovered, and their location hidden. In addition, she liked Jarnok's plan, and indeed she would be able to find the men neccesary. While waiting for an opportunity to speak, she thought of just how this might be carried out. Finally, she had an idea.

"Yes, Jarnok, that would be an excellent idea, and I would be pleased to be able to work with you on selecting the appropriate candidates from among our forces. Boarding operations always go more smoothly when you hit hard with well-trained troops." After addressing Jarnok, Forn turned back to Tycho.

"When I was with the Alliance we contracted Rane Scando to train some of our troops in the Mandalorian way. Out of eleven hundred men and women of many different species we sent to recieve the training, only one hundred and thirty or so returned. And what was more, Mr. Scando had brainwashed them during this, and in the end they and he turned on me. I was captured by SEED, tortured, and eventually left to die when Sanity's End was attacked the first time. Needless to say, this man styling himself as the 'last of the true Mandalorians' has earned my ire." By the time she had finished recounting this, Forn's face resembled an angry mother gundark's. "Fortunately, when the man disappeared for a while, the Rebels were able to undo this and regain control.

"I'm not suggesting anything about you, Jarnok, but I thought you all might want to know. And Vash, I know that a fleet action is what we want to avoid now. However, I feel that at some point, it will become necessary to utilize these forces at our disposal, and so we need to keep them ready. I'm sure you understand why."

"I wasnt planning on mentally conditioning the men, and I was thinking of doing it on this planet, in these facilities. I am planning to work closely with both of you, and anyone else who thinks they could add to the design of these troops. Also, i think for our style of fighting, we are all going to need some very specialized weaponary. If any of you want anything made up for you, I'll get to work on it right away. I will need a workshop, and a fairly decent amount of resources at my disposal though."

He could build up an armour and weaponary system for each of them, focusing on expanding their strenghts, and minimizing their weaknesses.

As Jarnok spoke, Forn remembered something she had been keeping ever since meeting Jedi Master Ara-Lai Kaipi above Coruscant, when she had left the Alliance. She got up for a moment with an "I'll be right back", and left the room, resealing the door as she did so. The bugproofer remained on.

Five minutes later, she was back, carrying a small data module and a head full of ideas. She handed the item to Jarnok, then took her seat once again, before explaining herself.

"That data module was given to me by a Jedi Master by the name of Ara-Lai Kaipi when I first left the Alliance. It contains detailed plans on a specialized type of armor that resists Force-based attacks in addition to normal forms of weaponry. She had intended it for myself, but I don't see why you can't come up with versions for all of us. It also might be a good idea for us to secure a few ysalamir, in case by some chance we run afoul of the Sith or any Force-user employed by our potential enemies, but that is your call, Tycho.

"At this point, all we need is the word "go", I think. If Vash does not have any more concerns, we can commence with the details of the plan..."

A grin spread across jarnoks face, which was now lit up with delight. All of the possibilities for such armour ran through his mind, and all of the things that he could combine it with started to race around in circles up in there too. He could create a new type of warrior, with many of the powers of a sith or a jedi, and totally immune to their attacks.

Slowly he calmed down. This sort of technology had to be kept a secret. Something this powerful would allow SEED to rule the galaxy with an iron grip. He wasnt even sure that he should build such a thing, incase they somehow were able to get a hold of it...

This would require much thought and discussion.

As Forn waited for the others to comment on what she and Jarnok had to say, a warbling sound could be heard, signalling that someone was seeking entrance into the conference room.

"Enter," Forn said into the speaker next to the room sealing controls, as she pushed the button that would unlock the door. A messenger made two steps into the room, stopped, and began to speak.

"Ms. Dodonna," the young ex-lieutenant began crisply. "Colonel Wilton wishes to inform you that the Galactic Federation Senate has begun broadcasting their ongoing session over the HoloNet. He also wishes to inform you that none other then Jidai Geki himself is attempting to run for Chancellor of that body."

There was a moment's silence before Forn, her face suddenly apoplectic with rage, spoke again. "Very well, that will be all," she said in a menacing hiss.

No one else in the room had to be told what this could mean, including the young woman who had delivered the message. She turned about and strode silently from the room, Forn resealing the door in her wake. There was another pregnant pause before anyone spoke again.

"Tycho, I think you know what this means," Forn said finally, her tone back to normal. "Someone is going to have to address the Senate with what we know about SEED and Geki in particular. I'd prefer to be the one to do it, but it is of course your call. You won't have to worry about me giving anything away in the process -- I know how to keep secrets -- and anything I would have to talk about in relation to that...that animal...is in the past."

But what the rest of the group could not see was Forn's hands, which were balled up into tight fists as they rested under the table. Forn Dodonna was too experienced in the field of command to betray her emotions in such an overt manner for very long.

The emotion streched itself across Forn's face for a few seconds and Tycho realized how strong her hatred for Jidai Geki truly was. He had no love for the leader of SEED either, but it took a lot of direct contact to develope such a hate.

"You have my permission," he said. "Just be careful not to reveal your emotions concerning SEED to the Senate. We don't need them hunting you, as it would but Open Sky in jeopardy."

Forcing himself to change the subject in his own mind, he thought back to Jarnok and his plan for a moment. Ara-Lai Kaipi was a brilliant woman, and now she had a huge bounty on her head for some reason that Tycho wasn't quite aware of yet. It was possible that she was becoming more prominent among Jedi and more of a threat.

He looked forward to Jarnok's work.

Changing the subject once again, he said aloud, "As for the mission ahead, I guess I'll just give the 'go' right now. The sooner we get started, the sooner we'll be in business. I understand that you may need to be away for a little bit to address the senate, but again we need to get started.

"That is, if no one else had any other concerns?" he finished.

"Thank you, Tycho," Forn said simply as she stood up to leave. "The room controls are simple enough; red for sealing and unsealing the doors, green for the bugproofer, and white for the droids. I'll be back in a day or two, depending on how long this takes, since I don't want to transmit from here and give ourselves away. If you decide to act on my ideas before I return, let me know and I will do what I can for you."

After pressing the required buttons, Forn took her leave from the conference room, her new droid following her as she went, and strode through the underground command center and back to the turbolifts. She tood a different one this time, which led to a nearby hanger bay where she had her old Skipray Blastboat from her Alliance days. The droid, designation XHK-2 (Tycho's was XHK-1), would serve as the vessel's co-pilot, and as Forn settled herself into the pilot's chair, the robot plugged itself into the main computer. After another couple of minutes of preparation, the Borleias Sunset lifted off, heading for the blackness around Bakura.

Once free of the gravity well, Forn pulled the hyperspace lever, her destination unknown and untraceable.

Vash watched Forn leave, and allowed the comments spoken during the conference to sink in. If Geki were to be made Chancellor it would spell doom for any peace people were hoping for under the Republic. He spoke to Tycho,

"I have no more concerns. I'm just eager to get started."

"Humans, how pathetic."

Tycho noticed the concern on Vash's face. He spoke reassuringly. "I assure you all, Geki will not be made Chancellor. His background and resume are too severly evil and not could not be covered up. And," he added, "even if he does become Chancellor, we'll be able to stop him."

Before those words sank in too much, the Vigilante decided to move on to filling in more details of the plan. Although it seemed that Forn had wanted to give her own details, she was not the one in charge of the mission and was not present anyway.

He hit a command button or two on the table and a holographic image of Jidai Geki appeared. "Vash, I'll need you to become as close to appearing as this man as you can. We'll have SEED uniforms aboard the frigate that will complete your disguise," he said. "Unfortunately, the mission itself can not be enacted until the Senate meeting is over and Geki has gone to a place where people again no longer know where he is.

"However, we can at least get more detailed planning in. We will attempt to attack the Empire. It has many convoys, often operating through the common trade routes of Taris ((unfortunately not in this RP yet)), Corellia, and the Core Worlds," Tycho explained. "If we can find a way to locate one of these convoys, then we will attack it with the SEED frigate and board some of the ships ourselves, along with the marines. All of us will be in SEED uniform."

He paused. There was much more, so he pressed on, hoping he wasn't giving too much information at once. "Vash will send a communication offering unconditional surrender, posing as Geki to be sure the Empire knows who they're being attacked by. Intelligence will have to confirm that the Empire doesn't know where he is first. If they refuse we'll board, loot, and destroy the ships."

The Open Sky leader smiled, "As far as I know, SEED is quite close with the Empire, and the loss of the Alliance between them could be devestating."

He only wished the Bothans had met up with him. As it was, he was in sore need of their Intelligence and was without. The attack was going to wait a few days, so maybe he could get in touch before then.

Standing up, Jarnok spoke briefly to tycho.

"I am going to get started on my work, i need to start building some prototypes, and also i need to build the tools i will need to use. Im going to take over a small workshop for my work, if thats alright. Also, i could use that droid."

He was eager to get on with his work. If he worked through the night tonight, he could have plans made up, and his workshop ready.

Zara and Brina after offloading the passengers and releasing the ship from the tow lines. There would be two more trips necessary for the remaining ships to be brought out so the sooner they left the sooner they could complete their task and organise payments for the finished job.

As soon as everything was ready they sealed the ship and took off again, destination The Link HQ on Coruscant

Tycho nodded, "You have my permission to begin. Perhaps you can get some work done before Forn returns."

He looked down at the droid Jarnok referred to. He hit a few buttons until XHK-1 stood up. He told it to go with Jarnok and it complied. Interesting little machine, Tycho thought. He wasn't particularly fond of droids, always preffering to work with real beings.

But this one would be interesting to work with nonetheless. The ability to fold up had certain tactical advantages that Tycho would at least attempt to exploit should a hostile situation occur.

Leaving the room, Jarnok headed to a smaller building, a bit out of the way, and which had no major practical use. Clearing out the previous occupants with a few simple instructions, he started work setting up his workshop.

He managed to find a few basic tools around the place, there were a few workshops here and there, for general repair, but he would need some more tools than just the ones he had. He could create his own tools with these basic ones though.

He got himself a basic network terminal, and hooked in, letting him receive comms straight to the workshop, if he was in there.

Pulling out the datapad, he loaded up the information on it, and realised just how extensivly difficult the tools he would be making could be. He needed to sit down and have a look at all the technology they had at their fingertips, and then work out what he could utelize to his advantage. For now, he would start building his tools.

Apparently Renn Hamis now had a bit of downtime. Forn Dodonna was away on business, Tycho Kosk was busy planning some offensive, and the other members... Renn had no idea what the lower-ranking members of the new faction were doing.

Renn shuddered; once again, he had little to do. That meant that he needed to find something productive for him to do.

Open Sky had done a fine job of setting up their base; its construction rivalled that of any Rebel outpost that he had seen. Its facilities were quite extensive. No doubt there was a firing range where Renn could sharpen up his marksmanship; it had been quite a while since he had had a chance to do so.

Renn recovered his two rifles from the Warwitch, and searched for a firing range. One existed in the outskirts of the base. It was probably positioned there because of space constraints and the fact that an enclosed base made for a very unrealistic environment. It was best that the men practicing their firing skills had to contend with the environment.

A few minutes later, Renn secured himself a firing corridor, and was putting blaster bolts and sniper bullets down range. It had been far too long since he had a chance to use his sniper rifle; practicing with it was actually kind of entertaining.

"Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges!"
