Ziost

Bernon Mrrgwharr traveled on the old T-4a Lambda Class Shuttle, owned by a publicly available travel company. He had heard, no, felt the call of the Sith to this place. He was eager, excited, afraid, and grateful at the same time, as this was his chance to join the great Sith and become one of their warriors. He was afraid rightly so because of the Siths' reputation as violent, horrifying people, but he knew he must become one to reach his full potential.

As the shuttle descended on the ruined world, he could feel it, the heat of the darkness, both from the planet itself and the many Sith who currently resided there, many of which had awesome power. It was a lot for the mind so it was newly open to the Force. The weight of his Repeating Blaster Rifle and Heavy Combat Armor felt almost as if it was barely there, since he was strong and highly used to wielding and wearing these items.

When the shuttle finally landed, Bern stood up, turned on his heel, and as the ramp came down, marched out of the shuttle. Once at a safe distance away from the shuttle, the Lambda pilot lifted the ramp, and took off away from the dark world of Ziost. The first powerful looking Sith he saw was @Krath Inmortos, and he slowly walked that way, once he was behind him, he kneeled before the mighty Sith.

When he spoke, he said "Mighty one of the Sith, I have felt the call to this land, and came accordingly. I wish to join the great Sith." He looked back up at Krath Inmortos, and smiled slightly, as he stayed kneeling before the master of the Dark.

Bernon Mrrgwharr did not wish to contemplate or even ask what was happening to the being of pure flawless darkness, if he made any reaction it could anger @Krath Inmortos. He stood at the command of his soon to be master, bowed his head, then thanked the Dark Lord. He turned on his heel and walked away towards @Krath Apothos. When he reached the other great Sith, he could feel the power emanating from him. Once again he knelt before the powerful one, and spoke "Greetings, Lord Apothos, the great Krath Inmortos requested me to retrieve his saber."

He was grateful now that he knew he had come to the right Sith, that being Krath Inmortos. He had certainly not arrived here to serve in some expendable army. Soon he would become a truly powerful Sith, and one day he would become an unstoppable warrior of Sith might. He was certainly excited and eager, and he hoped that the Dark Lord Apothos would not resist or react negatively, because he was eager to become a true and official Sith Acolyte, and he wasn't exactly super patient when it came to matters such as this.

He listened closely to what @Krath Apothos had to say, and chose not to make any reaction, he didn't know if he was being heard by @Krath Inmortos. He realized that the information was useless currently, but that it would be very important to know sometime in the future, whenever his soon to be master finds no use of him. He nodded at the final words, then reached out and took the saber. He stood, bowed again, turned on his heel, and made his way back towards Darth Inmortos. He stood near, but not too close to the Sith Lord Inmortos. He remembered that he wasn't supposed to hand over the lightsaber until they gathered, so he kept it in his boot for now.

He was eager for the meeting to begin, to officially be declared an Acolyte of the Sith Order, he was patient though, for now anyways. He looked all around and found many Sith in the surrounding area. The Darkness was strong here, and it came not just from the planet, but from the others here, the Dark Lords; Lady Calypso, Krath Inmortos, Krath Apothos, all of them. He was excited to be one of them, and soon, very soon, he would be.

Bernon Mrrgwharr spoke "I am Bernon Mrrgwharr, I am not yet the Acolyte of the great @Krath Inmortos, but soon, soon I will be. And... Thank you for the advice. You have power, great power, I can feel it, in this world, the Darkness. And believe me, I am not about to throw away this opportunity, I've heard that the Darkness is a path to immortality, to power, and to the greatest combat prowess in the galaxy. So I am fully committed to this Order, no matter the cost." He then bowed out of respect and said one last thing "If you wish to know where he is, I am not allowed to divulge such information, lest I displease the Dark Lord."

He knelt before the @Karys Narat iv-Adas, stood, and saluted, before waiting for any kind of response. He truly was committed to this, throughout all his life, he was powerless against nearly everything, the law, the Jedi and their false promises of a better life that never materialized, and so much more. Here, however, he had a chance to be powerful, to be immortal, and to fight the disgusting and disgraceful Jedi and help put an end to their thousands of years of tyranny. Indeed, there was no backing out now, but for him, the idea of backing out was never an option.

Bernon Mrrgwharr was deep in thought until the Sith Lord looked back on him. He supposed he could sense the lightsaber. Well, Bern could certainly sense it, it was rubbing up against his foot, but also, the saber itself was as cold as death itself, and the heat of the Darkness radiated off of it in waves. Soon, when the Dark Lord turned away, Bern returned to his thought, wondering how the Sith were defeated by the Jedi, they had legions of Sith, armies of troops, and still lost. He then came to the realization that, many Sith of the old Empire were weak, but now, the Jedi if anything, had not defeated them, but did them a favor, they culled the weak from the herd.

Soon, sooner than the Jedi could ever imagine, the Sith would come back, without the weak holding them back, and Bern... he would not become one of the weak. Whatever toll this dark path took on his body, it would not matter to him, he could look like he slept with vibroblades for all he cares, it would only make him look intimidating, for immortality and unlimited power were worth it. He thought of himself in the future, wielding a lightsaber, cutting down Jedi after Jedi, yes, he would be powerful indeed.

And when the day came for @Krath Inmortos to remove him as a threat, it would be too late, and if it wasn't, he would escape, remembering the words of Apothos. For now, however, he would remain loyal to his soon to be Dark Master, and he will prove to him, and truly prove, that he did not make a mistake in choosing his apprentice. The battle nearby and it's sounds drew him  away from his thoughts, as he walked over to watch the combat between the Sith Apprentice and the Terentatek.

Bernon Mrrgwharr listened closely to the speech, he didn't agree entirely with her philosophy, but he certainly wasn't powerful enough to challenge her, at least not yet. When the meeting began, he pulled the lightsaber out of his boot, and walked over to Krath Inmortos. He held out the blade as he kneeled before his dark master, saying "Oh great and mighty Sith Lord, I present to you your lightsaber." He was so close to becoming a Sith, he could almost taste it, and if he was trained by @Krath Inmortos he would certainly become a strong one, he knew that with almost complete certainty. The time of the Sith was now, and this Lady Calypso, however wrong in her philosophy, was the strong leader they needed to rebuild and be strong overall and individually once again.

Bernon mostly disagreed with her philosophy because he believed in rule of the strong, and the idea of plunging the galaxy into anarchy means that nobody will rule, everyone will just be dead or a survivor on a barren wasteland. He knew she would make powerful enemies, one day she would die, and one day someone smarter and stronger would take over. For now however, the Sith needed her as a leader. Bernon Mrrgwharr knew what his agenda was, he wanted immortality, to live forever, to never perish, and of course ruling over many and having great combat prowess are also end goals for him, but not as much as immortality is.

He was excited to become a Sith, to gain power, to have the honor of wielding a great lightsaber in combat, and to do so much more. He knew the road to success would be hard, and could end gruesomely for him, but if that's what it took to gain ultimate power from the Darkness, he was willing to accept the suffering. He looked up at the Sith Lord, ready for him to take the saber, hoping desperately that he would be accepted as a Sith Acolyte. He truly was ready to embrace the darkness.

Bernon Mrrgwharr felt the sting of the striking hand, funnily enough, it was also cold as death itself. He had taken more than one hit in his form of boot camp, yet this felt stranger than normal. However, what was most important to him now was that he was a true Apprentice of the Sith. He was finally one of them, and he had no idea what to say, so he simply said "Thank you, Lord of the Darkness, I will not fail you again. I promise you will not regret this decision." He watched his new Dark master @Krath Inmortos move towards the beginning challenge. He moved back in order to keep safe from the ensuing fight, if he was too close, he might not even be able to hope to survive such a clash between two powerful Dark forces.

He of course hoped that his Master would win, and maybe even become the leader of the Sith. He hoped he would also not lead the Sith down a path of destruction for themselves with ideas like that of Lady Calypso's. For him, he thought that Calypso would lead them to nothing but chaos and weakness. For now however, he did not truly know how this would end, and he didn't have the power to influence it currently. For now, he would just enjoy the show.

Bernon Mrrgwharr was angry with the droid, listening to what he currently believed to be a form of Sith heresy against his master. He did not do anything however, he didn't even respond. He would let his anger build, his hate boils over time, so that it would be stronger when he needed it to be. The time to use his anger was not now. He had learned long ago that aggression was a tool to keep built up for times that it would be useful for, he wasn't about to waste built up anger and hate in order to strike at a droid, especially not if it already had some form of training, and he didn't. He also didn't feel like making any enemies, that wouldn't be a smart strategic decision.

He then turned his attention towards the other Sith, who was also apparently a Warrior, just like he wished to become. He took in the wisdom of his words and thanked the Dark Lord for his help. He knew how to listen already, it was a critical thing he needed to learn to do at the Mercenary Academy. It was there he learned that when people say "listening can save your life" they really mean it. He wasn't about to carelessly ignore his teachings. He planned for when he was in training, he would be subservient, he did not have the power or knowledge he needed to have any real power over anyone, nor would he until he finished his training and learned the secrets of lightsaber combat, immortality, and many other things.

There were several things he already knew to be true, things that aligned well with the Darkness. He knew that the strong are meant to rule and that the weak are meant to serve. He knew that he should take what makes him weak like fear and sadness and turn it into something that makes him strong like anger and hate. He also believed that honor is a fool's game, and that honor is for the living, surrendering is never a preferable option however. He believed he would make many new discoveries, learn more Dark wisdom, and eventually, become powerful with this new great training that Krath Inmortos would teach him.

Bernon Mrrgwharr was startled somewhat by the appearance of undead coming after him, probably an accident his master must have made, he thought. As they came at him he realized another thing, that they were ethereal. These creatures could not be harmed by normal means, blasters, or even lightsabers probably couldn't harm them he thought. He would have to come up with another solution, and he quickly realized, that he had to use the Force, only another mystical energy could kill these beings. Summoning up all of the built up anger and hate he had in his mind, from the bullying he often received at the academy, to more mundane things he saved his anger for later during, to even the anger he felt towards the droid calling himself Solus.

Now, he would truly let out his Darkness. The anger and hatred and passion he had hid under a facade of cool calmness all this time was now being shown, now not of course nearly as strong as a Lord of the Darkness, but it certainly was enough to rid him of these spirits. He unleashed his rage in the form of a bellowing war cry, sending the spirits that came after him reeling. Once they were gone, he could hide it away once more, and with not much effort either, after all, he had hidden his passions for most of his life. He would need to conserve his passions for a later date once more, he was sure of it, now was not the time to continue to use his passions however. He would let them continue to boil under the surface and build up.

He had drawn on the Dark energies of this planet, as well as the Darkness and rage that radiated from the other Sith here. There was so much of it to use, and it had proven useful after he had removed the wraiths and undead from his sight. He stood back at attention, like a soldier awaiting orders, and continued to watch the fight. His master was certainly putting on one heck of a show.

Bernon Mrrgwharr was closely watching the fighting, learning as much as he could from it. He turned when he heard Fiochmar speak. He somewhat thought of Calypso's Apprentice as a rival, given the current situation. However, he was not powerful enough to be making enemies, so he instead nodded and stated "I am Bernon Mrrgwharr, Apprentice of the great and mighty Inmortos. No, I do not believe we have met, but I do know that you are the Apprentice of Calypso." He stood rigidly at attention, as he often did, out of habit. He was not extremely fond of the idea of Calypso spreading her chaotic vision and ideals for the Sith towards any Apprentice, but all Sith needed an Apprentice, he supposed.

He was only half paying attention to the fight now, engaged in conversation and somewhat lost in his thoughts. A question had been stuck in his head for a while now. As he wanted to become a Sith Warrior, he knew he would soon need a weapon. He was thinking about whether he wanted a single-bladed lightsaber or a double-bladed one. In the end, however, a double-bladed lightsaber would probably suit his combat style better, as he used heavy weapons and heavy armor often. He knew that the double-bladed variant would be harder to master, but he was willing to put in the work to have such a weapon.

The way that Solus had dealt with the spirits was strange indeed, but it was effective. The way that Akheron dealt with them was more impressive to him, however. He was grateful for having a Sith like Akheron here, as he had given him useful information thus far. He didn't thank him specifically for the advice, believing the best way to thank him was to put his advice to good use, which he certainly did. He now knew a good Force power, that being Force Rage, and he would remember this lesson well.

  • 3 weeks later...

Bernon Mrrgwharr had a new mix of emotions, anger, rage, hate, despair, hope, and victory. Anger for his master's failure to rid the galaxy of this threat to the Sith and their longevity and survival. Rage at the false words of this new Dark Lord of the Sith, and her belief that the weak must die, no, he believed that the weak must serve, not necessarily die, the dead had no use, but servants did. He had hate for Lady Calypso, he believed her to be a false prophet. He had despair for a short time, believing his master to be dead, and his hope at a Sith life destroyed. However the despair turned to a feeling of hope as Darth Akheron offered to support him. A feeling of victory washed over him as he realized his master was not truly dead, and with any luck, wouldn't be for some time to come.

His negative feelings went into his reserve, to be kept for a more useful time, and after all, yelling at the Dark Lord of the Sith would just get him punished, most likely with a bloody death. He had however learned what he could from the fight between the Sith and took in the few words of wisdom that Lady Calypso spoke. He had also taken in all the wisdom he could from Darth Akheron, one of the few Sith here he was actually fond of, along with his master, of course. He listened to his new unofficial master and bowed before him, before turning and kneeling to Lady Calypso. He had no words to offer the Sith Master, he didn't want to betray his feelings with words dripping with contempt.

He was also most grateful for the supportive suggestion that Solus gave Darth Akheron. As a new apprentice of the Sith and after the recent developments, he needed all the support he could get. And he was fully willing to take advantage of the support he was given. He was excited as well to learn at the feet of a Sith Warrior, one who was also a master in his own right, before and while they traveled to Aaris III.

Bernon Mrrgwharr felt the calling of his Sith Master, and as he rose, instinctively walked over towards the location of his fallen Master. He sifted throughout the remains, until finding a blood caked lightsaber hilt. He walked back over towards Akheron and Solus, and while he wiped off the hilt and cleaned the exterior of the hilt, he thought for a little bit. Maybe he was wrong about his initial thoughts on the philosophy of the Rule of Strength and the Death of Weak, maybe the dead were better servants, after all, his master could conjure up many dead beasts to do his bidding, however, for himself learning the secrets of immortality would be enough, however he also realized that there was a chance that wasn't possible either, because he was not following the path of the Sith Sorcerer. In the end only time and his teachings would tell, if he couldn't become immortal so be it, either way, his legacy would be.

Bernon Mrrgwharr had also noticed a feeling in his eyes, a slight change, and soon realized that his eyes must have changed to yellow as he gave himself over to the Dark Side when both becoming an Apprentice, and using the power of Force Rage. He was glad and accepting of this change, as it meant his transition to the Dark Side was happening quickly, or at least quicker than he had initially thought of. Turning on his heel to look at Akheron, he asked a simple question "When do we leave, Master." For him the idea of having unofficially two Masters seemed amazing, as he had more opportunities for power. He believed from what he had seen that Darth Akheron was a Sith Warrior, and that Krath Inmortos was a Sith Sorcerer. From Darth Akheron he could learn the ways of the warrior, the ways of the sword, spear, and lightsaber. From Krath Inmortos he could possibly, however unlikely he now realized given he was a Warrior and not a Sorcerer unlike his Master, learn the ways of Immortality, as well as learning the basics of the Force and other such things.

He now began realizing the point Lady Calypso was making, and that he was too stubborn to realize it at first, but at least now he understood. The weak did deserve to die, as they were nothing but a burden on society, the Sith, and nearly everything else. Even the dead could be turned into servants, after all, it seemed. A weak soldier is more of a liability than a boon to sheer numbers, he remembered hearing from his Mercenary training. In the end, at the very least almost everything Lady Calypso had to say was true. He felt angry at himself for his stubbornness and stupidity for not realizing that. Only through following his Masters and their wise teachings could he gain real power, and for that moment in time, he had failed to do that, he would not do so again.

Bernon Mrrgwharr watched as Solus showed him his... rat-like hallucination. It was strange indeed, but it was also interesting. Anyways, once he was finished speaking he turned to his unofficial Sith Master, Darth Akheron, then thought and spoke aloud. "Master, if I may ask, will not my Master Inmortos require a host for his life to continue and for his immortality to flourish?" He did not know exactly how it worked, but he figured his Master would be most displeased if he returned without a vessel for his soul to take over, and he did not want that, not at all. He did begin to follow Darth Akheron into the ship, but still wondered how he would serve his Master in getting him a host. Then, a dark thought hit him, what if Krath Inmortos, were to attempt to possess him. If his Master chose to, he absolutely could, and he himself would have no power to stop him, he was merely an Apprentice, and his Master, he was a, well, he was a Master, but not just that, but a Sith Sorcerer, one who had the power to attempt to rival Lady Calypso even. He could only hope his Master wouldn't try such a thing, because his power and what he did with it was out of his power.

Once he was inside the ship, he thought a bit more about his future as a Sith Warrior, and began to think up what he could do with such power. He knew as a Sith Lord it would still be dangerous to take on Jedi, but when he eventually became a Sith Master, it would be much easier to annihilate the enemies of the Sith Order. He also thought about Calypso, and how she had wanted them to wait until the time was right to strike, to gather allies and resources, and other such things. He realized as a Sith Warrior, he would best be of service in gaining some form of army for the Sith Order to use, or something like that. Anyways, whatever happened, he knew that he was destined for a lot more than anyone, including him, could imagine, and that one day, he would be remembered as one of the mighty Sith who brought the Jedi Order to it's knees.

He thought back to the old Sith, and how they had formed an Empire, and how, supposedly, they had many times before as well. He realized that these Sith Empires had always fallen, and that Calypso was right in that the time for a new age of the Sith was now. With Lady Calypso in charge as the Dark Lord of the Sith, the Sith Order could finally, once and for all, be the tool that would cause the Dark Side's glorious triumph against the Jedi Order and their allies. Bernon Mrrgwharr was so lost in his thoughts that he almost forgot that he was in the middle of a conversation, so he stopped and waited for a response from Darth Akheron while keeping completely focused on the conversation at hand.
