  1. Zane got the new plan from his master and nodded, getting himself centered a moment. He then aimed his ship for Cardia and busted through the blockade as well as he could, dodging in and out between the ships. "Let's hope this works..."
  2. Zane's ship got permission to dock with the SSD for repairs on the wreck of a ship he dragged along behind. They came onboard the monstrous ship and were greeted by a series of Stormtroopers and two repair people. Zane made up a series of things wrong with the ship behind them, and came up with a story for the damage he sustained. OOC: Last post was ignored, so that's why I'm posting this.
  3. ((Well pardon me for getting distracted by my INTERNET BURSTING INTO FLAME)) Zane tapped some commands into his console and reprogrammed his communications signature. He sent a message that his ship was badly damaged in a Rebel attack, and sent a request for emergency repair services. "Okay it's sent. You guys handle the next part." DJK nodded and used his abilities to mask the Light Side presence aboard the ship. They now had to wait, see what the next move was.
  4. The Crash Wildfire headed into the space above Cardia, carrying two heavily trained Masters and one all too determined Padawan.
  5. Zane nodded. "Yeah, I would be more than glad, considering it's my fault she's there anyway." He looked to both HJP and DJK. "Master Jedi, I hope you're not too busy to help us out; she's in the claws of the Emperor after all, and we'd appreciate any help we can get."
  6. Zane, DJK and HJP milled around on the ship a moment. Zane offered them both something to eat when they got a communication from Scorp's ship. "Go ahead Scorp."
  7. Zane landed not too far from the group of Masters and one padawan and exited. "Consider it done Master," he grinned, "my ship is open for you as always." Once all were inside and the towing (OOC: Cables seems a tad low-tech but not sure about tractor beams) situation set up, they left the planet's wintery surface behind.
  8. DJK's comm link notified him that Zane was on the line for him. "Curious choice for summer retreat, Master."
  9. Zane worked some nimble fingers on his communication console in an effort to locate his master's comm signal on Naboo. Weird thing was, there was no trace of it there. Something tells me he wouldn't shut off such a thing. He scanned other planets, and found Hoth to hold the man he was looking for. He was beyond curious at this point, and sent a message to his master over his comm link.

"Don't I know that song all too well. Okay I'll get meself to the Temple, and we'll sweep our intrepid leader off her feet." Zane laughed again. "See you there, Master Ession." It did give him solace to know his thoughts were not completely out of line. Once he boarded his ship and blasted off, he started to wonder how his master was doing in their parting.

Zane couldn't help but laugh. "That sounds delightful, I'm sure. If you would, I'd gladly go back to the relative security of the Jedi Temple. Perhaps you can impart some wisdom on the trip there?"

Zane knowingly grinned. "I will keep that in mind Master Ession, thanks a lot for listening to my heretical thoughts; it's a pain in the rump trying to keep it inside, y'know? When I start talkin' it's sometime's hard to get me to shut up, but I will prove myself any way necessary if it means doing the right thing by the Jedi Order. "I've been very eager to get Knighted. I've been sort of looking for the leader of the Jedi for awhile now, but it seems she hides.

Zane took himself a seat on the offered rock. "Not to put too find a point on it, but I doubt that we can hold ourselves together much longer, the way we are now. I've sensed...so much conflict recently, amongst the Jedi ranks. I've seen it, in person. It shocks the living hell out of me, that we're attacking each other, competing with each other for scraps of power within the Order, and that's not what the Jedi are about, is it? Aren't we supposed to be peacekeepers? Aren't we supposed to change for the better, become beyond our natural limits, then using that skill to help people? "I...I just don't feel I've helped anyone, really. I've tried. I feel I helped my master to an extent, I feel I've helped some people, but not enough to my liking. "I became a Jedi because it was a noble and just cause. I want to be part of a just cause, Master Ession, and I'm not sure if I am at the moment. I feel though, that if I could do what my Master said I have it in me to do, then that would be a just cause. I feel that my just cause will be to help the Jedi Order become what it can and should be. "I tend to be a bit of an idealist, maybe, but compared to the alternative, I have to do something. Sitting by while we eat ourselves away, no, I can't do that. Something can be done about our Order."

Zane's eyes diverted from the more advanced Jedi's gaze. "I would, but I haven't seen him in awhile. He went to be with his wife, last time I checked. Sweet thing she is, they deserve each other. I don't think it's wise for me to bother him haha, considering what he did to the last person who bothered him when they were in the middle of a moment.." He laughed in hindsight, despite how close to garbage he felt inside when he thought of that scene. "I..." Zane shook himself loose from his distant sideways gaze. "'M just thinking about the last time he and I talked about anything deep. He praised me, and said I would be instrumental in changing the Jedi Order, that I would become a great Master. He said that if I saw a problem, that I should take care of it myself, not wait for other people... "It's not, like, bad to doubt, right? I've been taught conviction is the path to enlightenment but the more I think... "Ahah. I'm talking too much again. I apologize, Master Ession, I tend to go off on people who don't particularly want to hear my silly-ness."

Zane grinned and waved off Scorp's seriousness. "Oh think nothing of it Master Ession, I'm all fine and good. In fact...maybe you would be the right person to talk to about this." Zane scratched the back of his head. "When I left the mortal coil, I saw a vision. I saw within my own mindscape. I feel I understand the Force better now, how it truly works, what my real relationship to it is and should be. I did learn something, a lot actually, in my time beyond this realm. "The Force drew me here, Master Ession, I had a snap premonition of...something. I feel that my purpose here is great, one that leads me a different way than any Jedi before me. "Hah hah, this sounds weird or braggart-y doesn't it?"

Zane landed, and with a spring in his step left his ship. His mind was stretching out in a thousand ways at once, his excitement was apparent in his grin, and his stance. He looked over and watched Scorp enter a Crystal Cave, and something about that man's presence set something going in his senses. He was getting closer, he could feel it. He followed into the cave after the more advanced Jedi, submitting his consciousness to the Force's will.
  17. Zane's ship made a few stops, one back to Corellia quickly for his parts and halfbuilt lightsaber, and then back into space. He fiddled with his lightsaber, making some progress but his mind was elsewhere. He was feeling anxious about leaving his wife behind while going on some damn fool crusade. He was feeling like there was something more he could do with the Force, but something was holding him back. As he emptied his mind and focused on his crystal, he felt a sharp, mental noise. His eyes bolted closed, and for several flashing moments, he had a premonition, a vision of a possible future. He saw his destiny. He saw Ilum once again. Zane concentrated and focused himself once again. This time, his mind became clear. Once he fixed the final parts of his new teal lightsaber, he set his ship for the ice planet.
  18. Zane's smirk became a grimace. More infighting? Great, just what we all need... "Being led by the blind as usual, I guess. Okay, leave it to me, I guess I'll figure out what's going on when I get there. Thanks for the info." He stalked into the bedroom and got redressed once Draj left. His wife followed him. "I swear, sometimes, I'm more mature than the lot of them put together sometimes." Tia cautioned, "How'll you defend yourself if your lightsaber isn't done yet?" "There's more than one way to protect myself, sweetheart, don't worry about it." He laced up his boots and threw his gloves on, and started out after quickly smooching her goodbye. He would have drawn out the fond farewell but something was urging him on. He blasted off in his ship once he could.
  19. "I always have business with the Jedi," Zane smirked. "Be more specific."
  20. Zane looked up from his half-built lightsaber in response to the doorbell. "Sweetie could you see who it is?" Tia went over to the door, opened it, and saw a heavily armed Mandalorian before her. A bit taken aback, she called behind her to the bedroom, "Um...I believe it's for you." Zane came out and looked towards the man standing in his doorway. "Hey there. Can I help you with something?"
  21. OOC: OMGLOLZ TEH DUBLE POST IC: Zane woke up in the arms of his wife who had found a way of twisting around in her sleep to cling to his chest. He grinned and kissed her forehead, and watched her eyes open to pierce his. She snuggled in again with a smile on her face. "Haha. Come on sweetheart, I have things to do today." She rubbed her nose against his chest, as if shaking her head side to side. "I know, I dun wanna get up either. But I've got work I gotta do." "More important than this?" Zane looked rather annoyed. "Come on, you know that's not how it is." "Of course not.." "Tia." She looked up at him; the firm nature of his voice, coupled with a look in his eye, took her aback. "Nothing's more important than what we have. But there are things I need to do that are important too; if those don't get done, then I'm not being the kind of Jedi I should be. You know this." She was silent for a long moment, propped up so she could look at him right. "Zane..." "I love you." She fell silent again. "I love you too, but-" "Then don't worry. I'm going to fix myself up a new lightsaber or two, I'ma still be here y'know, right within talking distance." "...I know." She reached up and kissed his lips, and then shifted over so he could get up out of bed. He rose and got himself clothed in something respectable and set himself up at his desk with his bags of parts and his crystals. He focused a moment, and started to build himself a new lightsaber.
  22. Zane came into the starport on Corellia and collected his things. He made a stop or two among the spare parts shops in the marketplaces nearby the starport to get ahold of some things he'd need for his new hobby. Any number of things he could retrofit into the parts he needed, and other things he picked up were purely out of interest in their artistic merit. Once he finished shopping, he returned home once again, this time with the intention of staying for longer than one day. "Honey I'm home!" he called out to the walls of his apartment. There was no answer. He dropped off his bag of parts onto the couch. "Tia?" He went into the kitchen and bedroom, and found her sleeping quietly in bed, twitching in place. It seemed she was having a bad dream, as there was a gentle whisper on her quivering lips. It was imperceptable to most ears. Zane watched her for a few moments, smiling. He then took off the outer layer of his clothes, leaving himself in a light sleeveless shirt and boxers, and very carefully laid down in bed alongside his wife's back. He listened to his wife's breathing and gentle whispers, and wrapped his arm around her slender middle. She continued to whisper and twitch a bit, but soon she quieted down. Zane kissed the back of her head, and she relaxed against him subconsiously. Tomorrow he would work on lightsabers. Right now, he would sleep with his wife. That is where he belonged for the moment, until he was called back to take his Knight trials. He would keep himself busy enough for certain; he wouldn't give up his dream, his passion for becoming a Jedi, and he wouldn't give up an ounce of his training, but he also wished to do the right thing by Tia. Tomorrow he would figure out what the Force was trying to tell him about itself.

Crash Wildfire landed on the snowy landscape of the foreboding planet Ilum, an icy wasteland holding glittering treasures within its shadows. Zane exited the ship wearing his favorite azure outfit with the green edging, and a thermal cape over his shoulders. He headed on into a closeby cave, focusing his mind on a random variety of things, nothing that would allow the Dark Side to penetrate him as thouroughly as the last time he visited Ilum. He searched for unique crystals, anything that wasn't as average as "GREEN" or "BLUE". He liked the Teal one he had before, that was quite beautiful. However, there was no such thing as too much variety. There were a few yellow crystals around he left, and an orange one which he gleefully snatched. Another teal one, an unusually dark blue one, and finally a crystal that possessed no particular color, a very rough one a little bigger than his thumb. The tremors from this crystal didn't feel like anything he had heard of before. Once everything was pocketed, Zane headed into his ship and headed back into space.
  24. "Wow was that a brown dwarf?" Zane said as his ship careened through space at speeds no one should ever think of going.
  25. Zane felt the sudden urge to take about eight hundred showers. The stench! It was amazing. He held his breath and used his focus to blast the glarp off of him in many directions, ending the flies' pitiful lives quickly. He then threw his ignited lightsaber spiraling tightly towards Aryian, who deftly dodged out of the way. About half a minute later, he caught his lightsaber as it came spinning back towards him. He looked at his fingers, polishing the tips of his gloves against his jacket. Then, just as Aryian thought he was safe, the flaming, exploding Idea Men Blimp crashed into him from behind. He then laughed and ran into the forested part of the Plateau behind him. "SPOON!"
