  1. Noswal listens to the message from Reagan McGreggor. He doesn't need any Force Sensitivity to pick up on how upset his young friend and employer is... touching a button and slightly turning his back to his old shipmate he sends a reply: [COMM] "Reagan, so sorry to hear about Master Adi-Wan... he was a good guy, for a Jedi and all. I will meet you in less then two days time at the Base, and if you need me to take you someplace it would be my honor to escort you there. Noswal OUT" [/COMM] Turning back towards the young man who once served with him with honor and valor he was sad that they wouldn't get more time together. "Well Master Chief RavenHawk," clasping the younger mans shoulder, "sadly we must cut our Reunion short. My employer seems to be in need of my services once again, and no offense but she's a whole lot prettier then you are! But now that I know where you'll be hanging your hat for a while perhaps I'll get back this way. Who knows maybe I'll have use for your special talents, which if I know this bunch they should feel honored to have you is their midsts." Noswal calls over to his lead Droid who is just coming back from the settlement with the now empty cargo sled done with it's last run. "LU-E, gather up the rest of the crew, we leave in 20 minutes or so. We're heading back to the Moom." The little R-7 Droid squeaks a quick reply. Smiling once again to RavenHawk he comments; "Mightly fine little ship you have there my old friend."
  2. Captain Noswal having just sent out a Comm to Reagan McGreggor is still sitting at the Comm console when a message comes in... not the reply from Reagan, yet none-the-less it causes the old Space Captain to smile. Speaking outloud to his First Mate; "Cooper RavenHawk?!?! There can't be two people in the Universe with THAT name. I'd heard he was freelancing... thsi should be interesting!" Looking out the window he notices that most of the people from the base are still dealing with unloading the supplies and moving gear around. Noswal signals to Lt. Azimoff to come over and has him reply back to RavenHawk; Roger RavenHawk, you are cleared to land. Please set down next to the large Marauder Class frieghter on the edge of our Landing Pad. The droid shrugs, he really doesn't understand humans sometimes. Noswal laughs to himself as he heads out to meet up with his old shipmate.

[COMM] "Reagan, this is Jed Noswal... I've just made a delivery of some supplies to an outpost and was free if you had any need of the Phoenix's services. Do you want me to head back the the Moon base or should I met you somewhere... please reply. Noswal OUT" [COMM]
  4. The Phoenix comes out of Hyperspace over the planet of Concord Dawn, Captain Noswal double-checks the co-ords he was given. "Azi, hold her steady and lets bring her in real slowly, " the Captain says to his First Mate, "... sensors aren't showing much down there on the surface, but we may be in for a surprise if we're not careful." The Droid nods in agreement. Slowly the large freighter comes down over the arid planet. Sand and dust rise up as Noswal brings his craft down near several other ships and some small shelters. Lowering the front cargo ramp he shuts down the main drive and heads out to the lower cargo holds. He wanted to get the supplies off the ship, and back into space as soon as possible. Emerging from the turbolift he mets up with several of the miners the Phoenix had rescued from Alpha Prime. "CAPTAIN Noswal, why are we stopping again?!?" the lead Miner says "We'd like to get someplace closer to where the action is... we were stuck on that God-foresaken ROCK for all those years..." Noswal raises his hand to try and quiet down the upset passengers. "Look folks we've got a quick stop to make, some folks are setting up a new settlement. You're welcome to get off here if you'd like, I'm sure they'd find something for you and equipment to do... up to you. If you'd rather stay onboard then within the week I could have you back in the Inner Core." "Setting up a new settlement you say?!? And there'd be other people there as well?!?" Looking out at the dry planet, it looked pretty gloomy, but no less so then the small planetoid they had been stranded on for all those years. And the thought of working for someone else, maybe helping out was appealing to them. Noswal went over to his Droids as the miners talked amoung themselves. "HU-E," he whispered to the stout little R-7 Droid, "I want you to prepare a second manifest, adding these folks and all their gear to what we're contracted already to deliver to the settlement here... this way we can hurry up and head home to the Moon sooner then later" The Droid went over to a terminal and plugged into the Comm-Port, up on the viewscreen came the adjusted manifest: Noswal looked over the list and nodded in approval. Looking over at the miners they were packing up their meger belongins and heading for the ramp. The Captain got the unloading moving at breakneck speed. And in no time at all the cargo was inloaded and the miners were starting to setup shop. The head miner was talking with several of the people already at the settlement about building more of the base underground. Several of the others from the miners group were helping to set-up the DECONs and Treefeeders to start to reclaim some of the soil for planting and other needs. Noswal went back into his ship to see to a few things before lifting off again...
  5. Capt. Noswal felt the change in weigh as Rane jumped onto the rope; "I hope he's got a firm hold of that thing Hu-E, b'cuz he's in for a bumpy ride... try and reel him in will ya?!?" Noswal threw the throttle into full power and the shuttle shot forward. The Corellian fighters were trying to get a lock on the Raven as the wirey old space Captain showed them a thing or two about how to fly. The little R-7 droid winched the Bounty Hunter up and up towards the shuttle, Capt. Noswal extended the small ships shields to encompass both the front and bottom of the craft.
  6. Suddenly from above Rane there was a noise. A small black and red Hyper-drive shuttle flew out from the clouds and hovered directly above him. A thin rope lowered with a loop in the end of it. Looking up Rane noticed the underside of the shuttle had an image of a large bird of prey painted on it.
  7. The large freighter Phoenix blasts out of the atmoshere of the Smugglers Moon, steering wide past the Gas Giant the Moon roates around Capt. Noswal fires up the Hyperdrive and dissapears into Hyperspace.
  8. The large freighter Phoenix lifted off from the Smuggler's Moon. Taking a path least traveled was Captain Noswal's usual way of doing things. But his client seemed anxious to have his package delivered as soon as possible. And with a huge payment up front, who was the Captain to argue with that request. Clearing the planets and moons of the small sub-system Jedidiah pulled the level on the Hyperdrive and they were off.........
  9. Capt. Noswal brought the Phoenix out of Hyperspace on the far edge of the system that held the Smuggler's Moon. During the 2 day trip there he and Commander McGallister had planned out how best to approach the planet. They would deploy the 4 A-Wing Fighters with 1 above, 1 below the Phoenix, 1 each Port & Starboard and all slightly to the Aft of the larger ship. "Classic Diamond attack pattern," agreed the Wing Commander, "our biggest guns, but also the object we're trying to protect most, the Phoenix will be in the middle. We shouldn't run into any trouble... at least none we can't take care of!!" They put their plan into motion. The Phoenixwaited til all were inplace then started out slowly at first gaining more speed as they went further into the system. All systems were scanning the surrounding space, but there was no traffic out there at all. Within several hours they were aproaching the giant gas planet that the Moon rotated around. One last scan of all available quadrants showed that they were alone in this region of space. "Ok boys.... we're goin in and we're goin' in FULL Throttle!!" Captain Noswal signaled to the rest of the small Armada to head around towards the Moon.
  10. The large freighter Phoenix left the atmosphere of Corellia and turned towards deep space. With a FLASH it was gone into Hyperspace.
  11. "Aye aye Ma'am!!" The Captain snapped to attention and clicked his boot heels together. "We'll be Gear Up within the half." Noswal turned to his Droids and started barking our orders to have them seal up the areas that they had just finished working on. Striding over to the tool cart nearby he took some Goo-Gone cleaner to his hands to remove the grease, while keying a button on the control area of the cart to open a Comm-link to the Bridge. "Azi, this is the Captain... we'll be lifting off within the next 30 minutes or so." he spoke in a quick manner to his First Officer that the Droid knew meant his Captain was multitasking even without seeing what the man was doing. "Please lower the front ramp, open the big doors and prepare to receive some cargo. Miss McGreggor will be our guest for this voyage. See that she gets settled into the nice stateroom across the hall from mine. She'll want to be close to the Bridge I'm thinking. Anything she wants or needs you are to assume it to be an order directly from me understand?!? Also patch me through to Seamus Finnigan at the base, please. Noswal OUT!" the Captain didn't need to get a response from his Lt. the Droid was the best "man" for the job of being First Officer on the Phoenix. The Comm-link beeped to signal an incoming Comm "Hello Phoenix, this is Finnigan... what can I help you with Jedidiah?" Seamus Finnigan had been the Master Chief on the Smugglers Moon. He had helped Noswal in the past with many things. Captain Noswal had almost had to have him sedated to get him to leave the Moon when the technicians, pilots and other folks had fled. In the several days it took them to get to their new home he and the Master Chief had truly become good friends. "Seamus, I need you to get together a crew of techs and mechs I'd say no more then 18-20 people... we'll probably need a couple strong Droids too... and ah.. I'm thinking some heavy machinery. I've still got my TDL Medi-Droid aboard my ship, but bring along another and very basic medical kits. Grab plenty of food, fresh water, a couple kegs of Ale. We need to leave within the next 30 minutes, Noswal paused before finishing his thought, "...oh and Master Chief, our destination is the Smugglers Moon!" there was the pause of only a moment for this to register, then came the answer he knew he'd get. "YES SIR!! Me and my crew will be ready and aboard in 20 minutes or less!" Noswal smiled and knew that the Master Chief was already frantically signalling others, and putting into motion plans that he had made even before touching down on this planet. Noswal keyed the Comm-link again, this time to reach Commander Ty McGallister, Fighter Pilot of the Smugglers Squadron and by default since the fall of the Moon, and the death of his Wing Commander HE was now the Wing Leader. "Ty, Captain Noswal here. I need 4 A-Wing fighters and the best pilots you've got to man them. Have them loaded onto the Phoenix. My Rear Hold wil be ready and waiting for them. We're lifting off in 25 minutes. Oh and Commander, I'm hoping we won't need it, but make sure they're loaded up to the MAX!" "Yes Sir Captain... Master Chief Finnigan already Comm-ed me and told me you might be calling next. My boys are already on it. The Fighters were already on Alert Status One so they're good-to-go. Myself and my 3 best will be aboard with 2 extra maint. droids in less than 15 minutes. McGallister OUT!" Noswal smiled... it was good to have purpose again. He had removed his Coveralls and other work gear and cleaned up as best he could. As he made his way towards the front of the ship to get the lift to the Bridge the first of the large cargo repulsor-skids was flying up the front ramp. The Captain turned back to look towards the rear door as they swung open to admit the 4 A-Wing fighters and support materials for the smaller ships. Everything was going like clockwork. As he strode into the Bridge he noticed that Reagan had settled into the Navigators seat to the rear and the right of the Captains chair. Lt. Azimoff had everything ready to go and they finished up the last couple adjustments when they recieved word from below that the last of the materials were aboard. "Control, this is Phoenix... we're ready for lift off. Please inform the Gunnery Officer NOT to fire on us!" he added with a laugh. Green lights were lighting up all over the boards to show the different systems were good-to-go and the ship sealed and ready to fly. Noswal nodded to his First Officer and the large ship lifted off the Landing Pad 27 minutes, 32 seconds from the time that Noswal had first Comm-ed the Bridge. Ships Manifest screen showed: 25 total living passengers - (4) fighterpilots - (20) tech/mechs and Reagan McGreggor (4) A-Wing, model B-1 Fighters w/ (4) R-6 droids - (2) extra R-6 droids for repairs bulldozers, tractors, and repulsor heavy lifting gear - (2) CCL-8 Binary Load Lifter droids - (2) X10-D Draft droids - (2) J-9 Worker droids - (2) WED Treadwell droids - (6) SM-5 Scavenger droids - (1) FX-1B Medical droid Prefabricated buildings in sections - Mess Hall - Hanger Bay - basic Living Quarters - Infirmary Weaponry / Defense - (4) shield generators - (4) portable Turbo Blaster Cannons - (6) G-2 RD Guard Probot droids - (24) S-EP1 Security droids - (10) 501-Z "ZED" Security droids Food, Water, Ale, and enough medicine for twice the number of people aboard. The Marauder Class freighter cleared the mountains surounding the Smugglers Estate and were lifting higher and higher.
  12. Turning around to the sound of Reagan's voice Jed Noswal bumped his head on a intake manifold CLANG! and slipped off of the support brace he had been standing on. Falling the 3-4 feet to the deck plating with a thud he landed at the young womans feet. "OUPH! AHHH Nerf Turds!" He was a MESS, all covered with dirt and grease from working on the large motors that opened and closed the huge rear doors to the cavernous cargo hold. He stood up and looked at the pretty redhead. He noticed that she was wearing someone elses jacket, it was 4 sizes too big for her, it made her look even more vulnerable and fragile. Noswal had seen her fight, had seen her fly and knew that under that petite frame was a force not to be unestimated. "Oh hey, Rea... whatdya say? Going to the Moon again?" he scratched the two days worth of stubble on his cheeks, smearing grease and grime as he did. Taking a rag from the back pocket of his cover-alls he wiped his hands. "Yeah, the Phoenix is ready to fly and good-to-go anytime you want. Are we taking along anyone else, or is just, me and the Droids?"
  13. Noswal helped get all the Refugees settled on their new location and headed back to his ship to rest. They had offered him lodging at the new base, but things were cramped enough there as is... he'd fair much in his own quarters. The droids had cleaned up the ship as usual, and restocked what they could from the stores available. If need be the Phoenix could fly within seconds notice. The Captain shut up tight and locked all outside entrances... double-checking to make sure that the autosensors were on full alert. After a quick inspection of the holds he headed for the galley to grab some food and a beverage before hitting the rack.
  14. Jed Noswal walked back down the walkway towards the Landing Field. It was raining fairly hard but he wasn't noticing it. He was in a state of shock. He hadn't let too many people get close to him, it was easier that way. But losing someone you respected like that... someone you called friend was never easy. The grounds were beautiful, very well kept, in a manner similar to that on the Smugglers Moon. The large house was set up on a small rise overlooking the Landing field with a few smaller buildings around it. There were walkways, paths and small roads here and there. Beyond the Landing field was a small lake surrounded by trees. They were all in a sort of canyon, with small mountains completely walling the Estate in. Noswal's military training took note of the fact that crews were busy up on the summits of all the mountains installing upgraded weapons systems. He could just make out on one of the closest peeks the huge Turbo Laser Cannons and shield generators where only a day or two earlier there were trees and bare rock. He walked the rest of the way downhill to the Landing field and waved at the guards patroling the area. The Captain had been given Full Clearence by the Lianahans and most of the guards knew him by sight from back on the Moon. He took note of the new Blast Doors that had been installed on the access tunnel that went under the hill that the Estate stood on. This tunnel he had been told lead to a vast network of underground workshops, small craft hangers, offices, storerooms and living quarters. The Phoenix was parked off to the far left side of the field, awaiting his orders. He had onboard all the medical equipment, most of the repair gear from the Moons Hanger and shops. Even food, beer and other items from the Mess Hall. There were over 50 people onboard as well, refugees who had lost their homes... their workplace to the attacks. They too had lost a Boss that they all considered friend. Well the BEST way to help people get over their sadness is to keep them busy. Before leaving for the small ceremony at the family burial plot he had instructed his crew to start to gather up everything and get it ready to move. He walked up the main ramp and into the front bay area. Most people were milling around, all tlaking at once, waiting for instruction, waiting to have a purpose again. Noswal walked over to a smaller cargo crate on the floor and with noticable pain hopped up on it. He took his earset from it's holder in his comm-link bracelet and signaled the R-7 droid Hu-E to put him on ShipWide address. "Attention everyone... if I could have your attention please...." he spoke to the crowd, and those scattered throughout the large ship, "Thank you. I've been asked by the Lianahan family to extend their thanks to you for all that you've done for them over the years. For now the Moon is out of commission, we may NEVER go back there again. For now we just don't know. But that doesn't mean that we're out of business. FAR FROM IT!! There is enough room here for all those that wish to stay... and for those yet to arrive. We need to get this ship unloaded, and all the gear set up under the small mountain that the Estate rests on. There are living quarters there for all and plenty of work to do to get this place fully operational and functioning as well, if not BETTER then the Moon was itself." The crowd was noticably UP at the prospect of still having a job and being able to do SOMETHING to help the family that had helped them for so long. "So, everyone grab what you can. There are Cargo skids over there that can be loaded up, my crew will drive them to where they need to go. We better hurry though, as I double-checked the weather forecast and the rain is only going to get heavier." The place came alive with activity as everyone pitched in and got the process started of unloading all the gear and other equipment to help make their new quarters.... home.
  15. Captain Jed Noswal stood at attention in his best "uniform". He thought of the kindness that Dex had shown him, how he had been made to feel like he belonged... really for the first time since he had left the Republics Navy all those years ago. He would miss Dex, the comaraderie of the other pilots and Captains over a pint or three of Ale in the Mess Hall. He would miss the Moon, so lush and green with it's virginal forrests and smooth clear lakes. Noswal bowed his head and prayed for the spirit of his lost friend.
