  1. The Jedi Consular A Comprehensive Guide Written by Sandy Sarna & Kerriwarr What is a Jedi Consular? The Jedi Consular are experts in the application of the force, trusting its will as it guides them through their life. They can be more academic or spiritual than the more direct and hand to hand approach to the force that a guardian may have. Vocationally, Consulars make up a large part of the Order’s diplomats, academics, artisans, healers, teachers, and philosophers. The Consular is the intellectual and spiritual backbone of the Order. Consular Archetypes Outside of combat the Jedi Consular can be loosely divided into two categories, though it must be stated that a Consular is not limited to one of these categories by any means, and most true Consulars explore aspects of both. Academics An Academic Consular largely focuses on philosophy, delving deep into the past writings and holocrons of the ancient Jedi Masters before them. Seeking to make themselves a well rounded Jedi, through philosophy, science, social sciences and life. They focus on practical applications of the force such as healing and science, archeology, or exploration of hyperlanes. Spiritualists A Spiritual Consular delves more deeply into the intricacies and mysteries of the Living, Cosmic, and Unifying Force, seeking to ascertain its will through meditation and ritual, shedding light upon the will of the Force and interfacing with it by whatever capacity it allows. As a result of such intense reflective study, Spiritual Consulars tend to be the foremost philosophers, seers, teachers, writers, and spiritual guides of the Order. Mechanics in Combat The key to writing a Consular in combat is application of the force from range. They do not thrive in saber to saber combat and prefer to restrain or eliminate opponents from a distance. Focusing more on protection and avoidance to keep their range, and providing support to their allies. They rarely if ever wear armor, preferring the loose fitting Jedi Robes and tunics that allow them to better harness the living force. Combat Telekinesis An ability that most Jedi have which allows them to move and otherwise manipulate physical matter in a variety of ways, all with the power of the Force. Force Wave One of the most powerful forms of telekinesis, a wave of pure Force energy pulses from the user knocking back anything within the power's blast radius. The strength of Force Wave was extremely potent, and its raw power was on more than one occasion described as a telekinetic explosion. Mass Telekinesis Fine control enables one to lift and throw multiple heavy objects independently of each other. Objects may be caused to disintegrate with this. Force Burst A sphere of concentrated Force energy shot at or sent after a target at the utmost accuracy and speed. The strength of the Burst depended on the amount of time and energy put into it. A Burst's size and intensity could range anywhere from huge and combustible, to small but relatively deadly. It was usually semi-transparent with a blue or green shade. Tutaminis Through the Force, a Force-User can draw energy into their bodies and diffuse it or channel it away completely. Force Protection (Shields/Barriers) This is the ability to resist intrusive or invasive Force powers, such as Affect Mind or effects of the Dark Side of the Force (although they would still be impacted by the other effects of Dark Side powers, for example, concussive impact), including its disorienting effects such as fear, uneasiness, and paralysis. Force Barrier is an ability that creates a barrier or wall of Force energy around the intended target, be it self, friend, or foe. An expansion of Force powers available to Consulars is highly dependent on a character’s choice of sub-class - more to come soon!
  2. Jedi Agri-Corps Sationem salutis [‘sowing health’ in High Galactic] Written by Kerriwarr and Sandy Sarna With food scarcity becoming a major issue after the fall of the Sith Empire, the Jedi Order has reformed the Agri-Corps to enable its vast array of Jedi Knights and trainees to better help the galaxy recover from the galactic civil war. Leadership: Administrative oversight of the Agricultural Corps will be maintained by a small council of Jedi Masters appointed by the High Council. This subservient council shall have direct control over the Agricultural Corps, facilitating its operation and businesses in accordance with mandates and directives as administered by the High Council. The Agricultural Corps Council - and the general leadership/membership of the Agricultural Corps as a whole - shall be made up of Jedi of the following roles: Jedi Veterans of Galactic Wars To reinforce a state of discipline and tact in operations, stimulate efficient work and productivity, and provide security oversight to Agri-Corps worlds and installations. Consulars of Relevant Specialty To oversee the use - and necessary instruction of - Force techniques and knowledge relevant to the Agri-Corps, including but not limited to: Consitor Sato, Beast Control, Prima Vitae, etc. Sentinels of Relevant Specialty To facilitate the use of assistive and industry-relevant technologies and implements, and more broadly, to aid in the business relations of the Agricultural Corps with the wider galaxy to broker trade negotiations with external organizations. Membership: General membership within the Agricultural Corps can be split into two general categories - those who have been volunteered or assigned to the Agricultural Corps as a tenured position, and those who have volunteered or elected to a temporary assignment within the Corps. The Agricultural Corps serves as one of the branches of the Jedi Service Corps, a haven for those Jedi who were deemed unfit to pass their trials of Knighthood and have thus been relegated to less-demanding, yet no more crucial work. Members of the Agri-Corps are primarily those Jedi who have failed their trials, supplemented by Masters and Knights on assignment or who have volunteered, often for respite from the rigor of active duty service in the Jedi’s combat forces. Objectives: Planetary Rehabilitation The Agricultural Corps specialize in the revitalization of worlds damaged and obliterated, either by artificial or natural means, providing rehabilitative services to local populations and, indeed, revitalizing local ecosystems and habitats. Agri-World Maintenance Perhaps the primary duty of the Agri-Corps, the construction and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure for ‘Agri-Worlds’ serves as one of the organization's utmost responsibilities, growing and providing food and resources for those in need throughout the Galaxy. Jedi Rehabilitation Given the tranquil nature of the vocations needed within the Agri-Corps, it is certainly an alternative function of the organization to provide its members - of a permanent or temporary capacity - with respite from some of the Order’s more strenuous occupations. Galactic Food Aid Serving as a means of charity and philanthropy for the Order, the Agricultural Corps, as part of its rehabilitative efforts, strive greatly to provide those in need throughout the Galaxy with healthy, nutritious produce, stationing facilities on worlds of particular destitute status and opening their doors to those in dire straits. Alternative Income With donation and subsidized funding from a great many organizations, the Agricultural Corps serves as an alternative, sustainable source of income for the Order, providing a lifeline in the event of a funding collapse. NPC Cast: Leaders Consular Tavri Hel Veteran of the Galactic Civil War Age 60 Ithorian Sentinel Tandrin Keel Veteran of the Galactic Civil War Age 29 Human Apprentice Kayla Thren-Tir Temporary assignment to Agri-Corps Age 14 Human Apprentice Liam Ulantis Temporary assignment to Agri-Corps Age 12 Bothan Apprentice Thran-Falk Assigned to the Agri-Corps failing trials Age 19 Rishii
  3. Documentation The following are a few attached documents I believe may be of interest / intrigue to some of the members of our Jedi Order. Take a look, drop some input if you wish, and feel free to comment / discuss any elements of any documents in the Discord! The Survey of Jedi Political Thought and Philosophy This document is a spreadsheet encapsulating the spectrum of political thought as described above. All will have edit access to this document, so be sure to be careful with it (if the document needs to be fixed, DM me on Discord). The sheets themselves explain their purpose and provide a helpful visual array for the various schools of thought within the Order. And a little bonus - WIP and not yet published IRP: 'A Principal Analysis of the Jedi Code' by Jedi Master Kerriwarr
  4. The Wookiee looked up, his gaze meeting that of the approaching woman as she spoke. His chestnut fur, matted with grime and blood, billowed in the soft breeze of the alleyway as the Tree Carer rose to his full height, towering above the child and, indeed, above the woman that approached. "I have been called for a higher purpose by the Force and by one of your peers. I am told that I am to be trained as a Jedi. I am Kerriwarr, Tree Carer and Sage of the Wroshyr, Keeper of Saava and Speaker of the Syren, at your service." He beckoned the child behind him, holding his staff to his side as he bowed his head. Whilst the woman seemed tepid in her demeanor, it was not lightly that Kerriwarr would abandon his duty. The woman's intentions could be of great difference to the demeanor she presented, and the Wookiee would not be so unwise as to drop his guard at the first sign of peace. "And who may you be to be amidst such toil?" he asked, the guttural sounds of Shyriiwook filling the side-street, "Are you a Jedi?"
  5. Having silently played his role throughout the immensely violent and chaotic altercation, the Wookiee remained at the rear of the contingent of Jedi, watching as they had so ferociously permeated through the forces of darkness. New faces, and new names blurred by him reminiscent of walking through a cloud of buzzing flame beetles. Such chaos, and the sudden and complete divergence from his prior way of life left the Tree Carer nearly in a state of stupor, taking in his environment as a shell of his former self. Falleen was a cataclysm. A broken land filled with darkness. Such a wounded landscape was quite reminiscent of the damage he had spent a lifetime repairing on his own homeworld, harkening memories of the decimated lands of his childhood he remembered so reverently. Kerriwarr was struck as he laid a forest-green gaze upon the lands before him, taken aback by the wildness and wanton decimation of such innocent places and people. Such untold destruction would undoubtedly be matched by the labor required to restore it, and yet, it had far from reached its conclusion, for the great toil of Falleen had far from ended. Her scars not yet fully revealed. "Get her to safety!" The words snapped through the haze of the Wookiee's glossy disposition as he looked down to the two figures before him. To the Mon Cal from whom the words emanated, Kerriwarr only offered a silent nod. Reaching out and taking the hand of the child, he surveyed the immediate area, his gaze sharpened as the urgency of the situation enveloped his mind, along with the warm light of the coming dawn and the etheral invisible light which emanated from the Jedi around him. The Wookiee, despite being absent any formal instruction in Jedi combat, was indeed a warrior in his own right, and utilized his Wroshyr staff to great effect upon any who attempted to interfere with his aims, casting his foes about with a great ease as he guided the young child away from the fray and to a secure location. It was from this location that the Wookiee rested, tending what wounds he sustained throughout the incursion. So too did he nurture the child, doing his utmost to soothe the emotions of the little one as he once more looked about the foray of the Jedi into the darkness, a pillar of light thrusting its way through the firmament, into the remaining great vestiges of darkness on the planet. He would remain hidden until further prompted, gazing upon the great battle before him, awestruck by the possibility that he could soon be among the ranks of those bringing peace and prosperity to such an addled world...

    Kashyyyk

Kerriwarr was overwhelmed to say the least, awestruck by the potential, and reverent to the opportunity to serve one of the Galaxy's foremost stewards of peace and prosperity, yet daunted by the idea in equal measure. He would be forced to leave his home, and his people. The onus of his position as a padawan would take him who knows where. The gravitas struck the Wookiee as he closed his eyes, feeling the sweet breeze of the forest world swirl around him as he nodded. "It would be an honor to accompany you to Falleen. I shall need some time to make arrangements and settle my affairs, but I will be fit for travel at a moments notice. I am blessed to have this opportunity. Thank you, Master Jedi."

Kerriwarr listened attentively as the Jedi elaborated, enamored by the prospects of her words. He had always hailed the Jedi as heroes. Paragons of virtue and righteousness in a world of bleak and malevolent terrors. He considered what she said, taking all into account as he considered the possibilities, and delved deeper into his curiosities. He continued to prune the Shyyyo bird, almost instinctively, as he fell into such deep thought, musing upon the various aspects of such a change in his life, its benefits, its duties, and its creed. Such a decision which now weighed upon him was a focal point in his path, like a great divergence in a winding river. After a long moment of introspection, he stepped forward, walking down a new path. "If it is indeed as you say, and I have come to possess this great gift, I would deem it my responsibility to undertake your ways, as it seems the Force ordained our meeting for this explicit purpose. It would be a great honor to learn your ways, Master Jedi." The Wookiee's hands fell to his side as he turned, facing the Zabrak and bowing his head, the chiseled stone and wooden braids in his chestnut fur clacking together as the motion disturbed them from their natural resting place.

It was as if she said the words that he had been meaning to say all his life. The countless times he'd been asked about his prodigal skill in interfacing with the life on the world, the endless amounts of confusion and disbelief in his own abilities, and nigh infinite awe from his peers at his aptitude for accomplishing feats that seemed impossible. This was the explanation he desired to explain his capabilities. It was what he'd always known, yet never even fathomed how to articulate. The Force. Of course he'd heard of it, and had heard many tales of its use by the Jedi, the Sith, and others, and yet he'd never even begun to consider that that was what played such an instrumental role in his success. "You claim that I have such a connection, like you?" he asks, an air of wanderlust about him like the wisping seed pods of the Shi-Shok tree. He was aghast at the prospect. Could he be a Jedi? What she said - in its totality - was precisely what he'd upheld all of his life. All of the world was sacred to Kerriwarr, and he'd upheld that belief as his most steadfast conviction throughout the hundred and sixty odd years of his life. It motivated him to become a Tree Carer in the first place. Was there something more? Kerriwarr spoke again, continuing to stroke the bird, moving back from its head to its neck and beginning to softly prune its feathers - they were the hardest for her to reach on her own, and the great Wookiee always made a point to help her with them when he could, "What does this mean, Master Jedi? Am I to become one of you?"

She studied the Jedi as she stood unmoving, curious to witness what it was she was asking him to attempt. As the bird shifted course and approached, soaring through the canopy towards them at a steady pace, Kerriwarr felt - though perhaps did not consciously recognize - the link that the Jedi established with the bird. The majestic creature, astounding in its stature, landed on a branch below them, its large body allowing the Shyyyo bird to be at eye level with the two of them. Kadi would take note that Kerriwarr seemingly without effort managed a connection with the creature, as if by instinct, as he reached out with a fur-covered hand, stroking its massive beak and chortling at the bird. Whether it be familiarity with the bird, a prodigal skill of the Wookiee, or just plain luck, he had managed a faint, yet extant connection with the mighty creature. "What is it you ask of me?" he said, curiously, obviously completely unaware of the effortlessness of his actions. He continued to stroke the bird's beak, calling to it with a series of rumbling calls emanating from his throat to which the bird responded in kind. It was as if the two of them were close friends meeting up again after some time apart. His presence in the Force, like a great sprawling tree, had cast its branches out to that of the bird's, wherein they had formed a connection, linking their souls in the ethereal plane, gaining new insight into one another's presence that the Tree Carer seemingly was not cognizant of.
  10. The Jedi Order Paths, Dispositions, and Philosophical Schools of Thought Introduction & Notices The Halls of the Jedi have been abuzz with discussions of perspective and attitude for all of its long and illustrious history. Never has the Order been unified in its approach or disposition towards the means by which it intends to serve the Force. The intention of this guide is to inform the reader of the multitude of philosophies, positions, vocations and paths of the Order, a showcase of it’s members’ dynamism and various spectrums so as to allow for more nuanced, complex characters to be created within the Order’s ranks. With that said, a few considerations: Note that this is intended to be a dormant, yet living document, updated when the need arises or more is revealed of the nature of the Jedi, I will do what is in my power to keep this as current with information as I possibly can. Note as well that due to the current state of the galaxy, the Jedi Order is not presently in a place to accept all of these specialties, sects, and other such roles. Currently unavailable or not yet permitted roles that a character could feasibly fill will be denoted as such with an asterisk. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the status of a given category, contact site admins for assistance. Please notify me (Tharnanion#3056 on Discord) immediately of any errors or areas of debate concerning anything to do with this text. This could be something derived from the lore involved, or errors of grammatical, syntactical, or structural nature. It is my intention to see this a polished, well-constructed work, and whilst I edit profusely, I am bound to miss something. All assistance is most appreciated. Part I - The Paths & Specialties Paths The paths of the Jedi are the philosophical dispositions that form the foundation by which a member of the Order elects to serve their duty as Jedi: to become the manifested intent and will of the Force itself. The paths are static, though display elements of dynamism throughout each constituent role. Members of each path are firm in their beliefs, but have not formed this as the basis of much debate within the Order. During the height of the Order, one’s path was declared and set in stone - typically somewhere between the stages of padawan and knighthood - though some elected not to ascribe to any path in particular. The following are the three paths of the Jedi: Guardians, Consulars, and Sentinels. Guardians | The Force Made Physical Blunt, unrelenting, aggressive. These are all terms commonly attributed to those who align with the path of the Guardian. Considered the Swords of the Order, many Guardians take up roles as peacekeepers, warriors, and combatants within the Order. But what founds such a martial focus out of the Order’s members? A more nuanced approach to the Guardian Path reveals that Guardians are not just martial in nature, but rather physical in their approach. The Guardian emphasizes the grounded, physical application of the Force’s will upon the world. As such, they find merit and focus in honing their physical form (by conventional means, or through the Force itself) to better serve its will. Guardians are commonly found among the Order’s martial specialties due to their incredibly physical orientation towards the Force. However, they are seen throughout the entirety of the Order’s careers and vocations. Archivists, Instructors, even Artisans have all taken the Guardian path. Consulars | The Force Made Spiritual Anathema to the standpoint of the Guardian, the Consular stands in stark contrast to the foundations of thought purported by the Swords of the Order. The Consular is infamous as the path which hosts the Order’s intellectuals, being those who are often characterized as being of keen mind and wit rather than the martial, athletic focus of the Guardians. The path emphasizes the use of the Force in a far more intimate, spiritual way. They place special focus upon internal dispositions and the growth of one’s relationship in the Force via mental and spiritual means. This often results in Consulars being given the impression of having the greater capabilities in the Force of the three paths. Consulars often find themselves in intellectual, scholarly roles within the Order. Philosophers, teachers, archivists, to name a few. Just as well, their dedication to spirituality has made them far more level-headed and amenable than most. During times of great integration in the Order, Jedi Consulars were often known to serve as diplomats and mediaries to negotiate deals and barter agreements. Sentinels | The Force Made Practical Embedded in the rustic sensibilities and practical realities of the world, the Sentinel path characterizes itself as the road less traveled. Members of this path are far fewer and seldom seen than others, both by merit of them serving as the smallest of the three paths proportionally, and their tendency of its members to be rather decentralized in nature. The Sentinel is often known as the middle path, as it loosely represents a blend of the philosophies of the Guardians and Consulars - placing equal emphasis on the physicality and spirituality of the Force, finding a mixed application somewhere to their individual preference. Furthermore, and rather central to the philosophy of many Sentinels, the Sentinel is known to be decentralized as opposed to the other paths. Those Sentinels that are not decentralized are often found to serve within specialized roles in the Order such as Shadows or the Temple Guard, whereas most Sentinels are found to embed themselves within the galaxy’s many worlds, serving as local public servants, healers, constables, and sages. Specialties Whilst one’s path within the Order made clear their disposition and philosophy towards the application of the Force, there are also a litany of vocations from which a Jedi can choose to embrace as their own. The following is a brief outline of more famous, or common, vocations known within the Order. Weapon Masters Among the Order’s finest warriors, the Jedi Weapon Master was less a vocation than an honorific title, being bestowed upon a Jedi for their prowess in combat with atypical, unorthodox implements of war. Most weapon masters eschewed the use of the standard lightsaber in favor of such non-traditional weaponry. Battlemasters The office of Battlemaster is a title held by the premiere lightsaber duelist within the ranks of the Order. The Battlemaster’s foremost duty was to coordinate and supervise the instruction of students, making it less of a combative position, and far more one of instruction. Ace The Jedi Ace were considered the Order’s foremost starfighter pilots, being a member of the Jedi starfighter corps. Jedi Aces utilized the Force and specialized fighters to perform complex maneuvers, aiding their ability in perfecting themselves in the art of space combat. Peacekeepers Among the oldest and most prolific of vocations in the Jedi Order, Peacekeepers were known for their collaboration with local law enforcement, protecting and serving the public as mediaries and aiding to suppress violence before it erupted. Healers The Jedi Healers and Jedi Medical Corps are comprised of Jedi who specialize in the art of using the Force for the purposes of medicine and healing. They will implement their abilities as a public service, often on worlds of destitute and impoverished status. Archivists Jedi Archivists specialize in the collection and study of a given subject in the academic field. The Jedi Archivists preside over the Jedi Archive, curating and adding to its knowledge with the aid of Jedi Researchers. Researchers Similar to Archivists, Jedi Researchers comb the galaxy in search of artifacts, going on special missions and collecting special objects or scientific data for collection and storage in the Jedi archive. Shadows Shadows are considered one of the most covert and secretive of the Jedi’s vocations. Jedi Shadows are dedicated to the eradication of the Dark Side, in any form, and dedicate themselves to active efforts to destroy the Sith Order and its supporters through coordinated, precise strikes. Temple Guard The Jedi Temple Guard serve as a vanguard force dedicated to the protection and security of Jedi installations and temples. An ancient and honored tradition in Jedi history, knights of the Order were often plucked at random to serve in the anonymous robes of the temple guard, eschewing their identities so as to be perceived as the judgment of the Force itself. The temple guard were not just assigned at random, however, and there were Jedi who chose to make the Temple Guard their permanent vocation. Artisans A Jedi Artisan was a specialization that could be attained by those Jedi Knights who tried to understand creativity as a central aspect of the will of the Force. Considered artists and charged with creative endeavors, Jedi Artisans are known to create devices, artifacts, and other implements, most famously specializing in the design and construction of lightsabers. Naturalists Jedi Naturalists are pathfinders, explorers, and survivalists. They are often most at home in the wilderness of the countless planets in the galaxy, learning the flora and fauna, the terrain, and the secrets that nature holds. Within the Order, they serve their roles as scouts and protectors, and as early warning for potential corruption on a planet, whether it be one that the Jedi already have an established presence on or one they have just come to. Part II - Political Dispositions The Spectrum of Jedi Political Thought Across the Jedi’s long history, the Order - and its constituent individuals - are known to have exercised a great deal of varied and dynamic thought. The Order’s interpretation of its code, its place in the galaxy, and its obligation to lead the Order and its members have been areas of debate in Jedi halls for as long as the Order has existed. The following intends to denote the three primary areas of debate: How the code shall be interpreted, the Order governed, and the galaxy aided. While no one school of thought as listed below will be deemed correct, there will certainly be ‘prevailing’ and ‘outlying’ schools in a given era. Depicted below are examples of these ideologies put to their extremes, no one Jedi must conform to any extreme, but rather, be along a place within these spectrums. Liberalism v Traditionalism Presiding over the Jedi Code and its interpretation, this first spectrum encompasses a given Jedi’s thoughts and dispositions toward the doctrine of the Order. Attributing the labels of ‘Liberalism’ and ‘Traditionalism,’ one can find these to be self-explanatory. Traditionalists are far more rigid and unrelenting in their interpretation of the Code and their prescribed view as what is ‘right’ for a Jedi to be and do, and their thoughts on the Dark Side are often tantamount to heresy. Liberals are far more lax in their interpretations, deeming the Code as less essential, or perhaps finding it to be anathema to one’s role as a Jedi entirely. Their stance on the Dark Side, as well, may be far more rehabilitative. Integrationism v Isolationism This spectrum concerns the role of the Jedi in the galaxy. There are those among the Jedi who advocate for the Jedi to rule and preside as a governing body of the galaxy and its denizens, replacing - or leading - entities such as the Galactic Republic. Those who take this school of thought are known as integrationists. Conversely, isolationists are those who believe the Jedi have no role in the galaxy at large whatsoever, preferring the role of the Jedi to be a monastic Order, with no duty or responsibility to anyone. Decentralization v Centralization Concerning the governance of the Order itself, the spectrum of Centralization and Decentralization encompasses a Jedi’s opinion of how the Order ought to be administratively organized. Those who consider themselves paragons of ‘Centralization’ would be those who believe the Order should be centrally governed, with the high council as the exclusive, authoritarian administration of the Order and it’s members. Centralization at its extreme also purports the concentration of the entire Order into a singular temple by which the Order is governed, with no satellite locations permitted. Proponents of ‘Decentralization’ would be those who believe the Jedi ought not to be governed by any council whatsoever, with no temple to speak of, and an anarchic, nomadic structure on the whole. Concluding Thoughts It is my hope that you have gleaned some utility from this text, and that you can better inform your Jedi character as a consequence. I am welcome for further dialogue and inquiry via discord (Tharnanion#3056) and am more than happy to assist accordingly. Further additions and elaborations to this text are planned, and any suggestions are greatly welcomed. Thank you all for your time, and may the Force be with you.

    Kashyyyk

Soaring from tree to tree with a practiced grace, Kerriwarr took a quick glance behind him, ensuring the woman was, in fact keeping pace. Letting out a whooping call of excitement and joy, the Wookiee continued, swinging his way higher and higher, to the tallest of branches. Soon, they were truly at the tree's tallest point, and it was there the Tree Carer stopped, landing softly on the balls of his feet as he proceeded to the end of the branch, making room for the Jedi to land behind him, "I can only imagine. Look out now, Jedi. Gaze upon the world's splendor another moment" he said reverently, "Look to the skies, and perhaps we may see her today." Whatever the Wookiee referred to, he did not elaborate as some time went by, the afternoon sun shining above them, casting its radiant beams through the dappled shade of the thin layer of branches which grew above them. The view before them was, indeed, splendid. Kashyyyks glorious mountains lay before them across the great River of Origin, covered in smaller trees, with their valleys blanketed by a great canopy of Wroshyr which grew right up to the lapping banks. They waited a long moment, studying the scenery as Kerriwarr's keen forest-green eyes scanned the skies overtop the great river, yearning for the first of many things he longed to teach the young Jedi who stood aside him. As time grew on, Kerriwarr stood in silence, breathing deeply and rhythmically as his being seemed to pulsate in the Force, casting forth waves of peace and contentedness. At long last, Kerriwarr raised a massive, fur-covered arm, pointing to a spot in the sky above the river, "Do you see her fly? She may come to us yet. We are where she likes to perch." he said, a sense of solemn reverence in his voice, "She was nearly killed some time ago, it was thanks to myself and my people that she survived her injuries. She has kept us safe ever since." The enormous Wookiee pointed to a large, white, bird-like creature. A most holy of beings and a protector of the Wroshyr trees and Wookiee people. A Shyyyo Bird. It soared above the river, flapping its huge wings seldomly and gliding across the landscape, casting its eyes back and forth as it searched for prey. She was beautiful, and Kerriwarr relished the view.

With a nod of his head, the gargantuan Wookiee rose to his feet once more, looking down to the woman as he held out a fur-covered hand. With a nod of his head, the beads in his fur clacking together like the cacophony of a spilled bag of marbles on a tile floor, he replied in brief as she had, a contented tone about his voice - he knew what was to come, "Excellent. Let us begin, then. Follow me, if you'd be so kind." With a hearty, rasping chuffing noise one could only assume was the Wookiee equivalent of a laugh, he leapt into the air, swinging upon the branch from whence he came, and springing away into the upper foliage. He was off at a quick pace, and she would have to keep up.

Kerriwarr studied the Zabrak as he had spoke, and continued to as he listened to her response. The forthright expression of realization was satisying for the Wookiee; he was pleased to know that the gravitas of what she had decided to undertake was evident to her. She was perceptive and understanding, and of keen mind. He would take well to her statements, and bowed his head as she concluded, reciprocating the respect that she had shown him. He replied, his words plain, "It is an honor to be among one who deems it so prudent to help those in need. My people have suffered greatly, and it is with gratitude that I take you on as a student. Your efforts to learn our ways are seldom shared by other foreigners. The greater people of this galaxy, eternally locked in their own tribulations and strife, seldom make the time to give attention to anyone outside of their immediate proximity." The Wookiee replaced the cone within its pouch, returning the pouch back within his satchel and looking up, his forest-green eyes meeting hers as he continued, "The depth of this world and all its wonders cannot be stressed enough. To teach it, we shall begin as we are, at the very peak of it's surface. As we continue, we shall descend into its depths. When shall we begin?"

Kerriwarr followed suit, lowering his massive frame to an equal stance to Kadi, albeit still towering over him simply by the nature of his stature. He nodded his head kindly at the acceptance of his offer. There would be much to teach, and Kerriwarr steeped into his memory, attempting to ascertain where to begin. He had taught a great many young Wookiees in the way of Kashyyyk, bringing them into his Order as Tree Carers, but he had never attempted to teach someone of foreign origin the ways of the People of the Trees, let alone the knowledge reserved for the Tree Carers. He spoke again, his harsh voice clashing with the serene silence of the high canopy, "First, I must ask: What is it that you know of our world, and our people? To learn the ways of the Tree Carers is to epitomize the way of our kind. We are, quintessentially, those among the People of the Trees who preserve our way of life. To learn our ways is not simply to learn our world and it's ecosystems, but to embrace our culture, harmonizing with it and seeing it as your own. I will not just teach you what it is to become a Tree Carer, but a member of our people. Perhaps, in due time, it may be the case that you shall teach me as well." He reached into his bag, pulling forth a large, draw-string leather pouch and holding it in his lap as he continued, "At it's heart, this is what the Tree Carers preserve." he said, opening the pouch and reaching inside, pulling out a large cone the size of his fist, "This is the seed cone of the Wroshyr tree. As Tree Carers, we collect these cones, preserving them, and planting them where it may be appropriate."

The Wookiee stood pleased, heartened to hear that his goals were in alignment with this stranger who had traipsed upon his place of relaxation. Upon her final statement, he let out a series of gruff chuffing noises - what could only be described as a warbling, grating laughter. Kerriwarr knew well the staggering array of flora and fauna the great world bore host to. He could not imagine attempting to learn another world's life and ecosystems in the way he had his own. Such would be an absolutely daunting task, and he was impressed by the Kadi's willingness to attempt to help. He spoke in reply, his voice like two grating stones as he acknowledged her introduction, "It is my aim to preserve this world's beauty and spectacle. Such pleasures are all too uncommon in our great galaxy of late, with such wanton death and violence being so readily accepted and endorsed by a great many of the galaxy's inhabitants. It is a delight to meet another who shares such visions of peace and prosperity, and a pleasure to meet you, Jedi. I hope you come across that which you seek, and know that your assistance is most welcomed and needed, irrespective of its scope and scale." Kerriwarr spoke with a very deliberate, courteous tone. He spoke no lies, and the kindness he expressed was shared by his disposition in the Force: one of peace and goodwill, though he was completely unaware of this deeper connection. He bowed his head slightly again - an act of kindness, and deference towards a member of such a prestigious, righteous order. He had always admired the Jedi's tenacity for serenity and peace, especially when their enemies - and indeed, some of their allies - seemed so incredibly wrought upon destruction and violence. After a short pause he spoke again, simply, "Should you require any assistance concerning matters of this world and its efforts to rebuild, you need look no further, Master Jedi."
