  1. There was that roar of pain Vox was all too familiar with. The Gendai dropped his staff and lurched for Vox's saber and neck which was a foreseeable action, just not with a beam sword through the chest. He quickly deactivated his blade and start to step back to avoid the Warrior only for a chain and hook to wrap around the foes neck. The attention of the Trandoshan was drawn to a happily waving Blest Fate which he last knew was dangling from under the bridge. Clever girl. "Oh I see, no honor for you two, eh? Luckily for me, I always triumph! You are dead and I will triumph!” Ah... By Hell. The Warrior slammed his fists down with a power that would start to send the bridge collapsing. Vox, without so much a split second immediately jolted toward Blest. The bridge jerked and shook, and with the Gendai chucking whatever he could at the fleeing individuals it made things a tad more difficult since Vox received several hard back shots. Channeling whatever energy he had left and enhanced his speed by margins. Just as he was about to pass Blest the Trandoshan grabbed her, passing the needed point to ground that they wouldn't fall to their demise. Vox let go of the girl, setting her down and breathing hard right when he disconnected from the Force, he'd need a long rest before utilizing it again.
  2. With that the duel should have ended, however it seemed the species this warrior hailed from were far more resilient than that of any other. Vox backed away several steps as his scaly "brows" furrowed almost into a scowl, the warrior only treated the injury as a glancing blow and thus moved back into the fighting. A metal plate was sent to the Trandoshans face which he cut the piece in half and a staff hurtling at his side. He had used the distraction well as Vox barely had the time to recoup and block the swing, and with enough force barely stopped the first blow from a direct hit. But the first impact was enough to push the saber into Vox's shoulder severely scorching that part of his body. Pain was an odd and unnecessary sensation, but it was one that was expected, Vox had blocked and parred the other blows as attacks grew more rampant get precise. The immense pain causes the Trandoshan to drive deeper into the Force itself but also bringing out the buried savage fire that burned inside. More haste, more strength, more precision, Vox took the fight more seriously and started to become less humble and more aggressive as the Saber Art could take him. When another strike was swung Vox had stepped back out of a last second habit instead of trusting in his instincts, he'd stepped on a loose panel and his leg plummeted through. He had just a second to catch himself and narrowly "duck" the overhead swing. Trying to recover from the mishap, Vox continued to block until his leg was finally free but not without backing and remaining on a knee moving at a crawls pace further back until he managed to catch a strut beneath his collapsed leg and push upward. With a powerful drive Vox had bounced the staff upward and moved forward for a thrust. //Didn't figure out text had turned red until I deleted some stuff. Not doing it for an aesthetic choice lol//
  3. When Vox closed in he'd seen the Gen'Dai swing his extended pole arm to reach the Trandoshan, abd just as quickly as it swung Vox shifted some of his weight and swung his saber at an angle, the end of the staff would collide in a spark of energy and electricity in which it would be deflected. This reminded Vox much of his native training, except this time he held a near weightless weapon that glowed with the heat of the sun. His arms would be pelted with acid rain but the painful stings only fueled his focus which helped in the long run of things. When the second swing came in Vox felt the shifting of the bridge which almost resulted in him losing balance. Utilizing his own weight and the tore and scratched plated of the bridge, the Jedi found his footing a moment sooner as he brought his head back to narrowly dodge the end of the weapon. As soon as the weapon passed Vox went forward and blocked the next few swings, the force of the weapon causing him to recoil. This was a first foe outside of trainining however with Alcemène teaching him how to better utilize the combination of Force and saber arts would finally kick in. Vox wanted a fair fight if only he had either his glaive or a Nuduno sword, the enemy had reach and the broken bridge to their advantage which swiftly kicked into Vox's head to just use the damn Force. Opening himself again, the Force trickled into his being and immediately Vox used the granted energy to further enhance his reaction and speed. The swings came in and Vox would allow few to graze by shocking and stinging his limbs little by little, but as soon as he was filled with the power around him he made his first assault. Combing a counter swing with the Force, Vox would bounce the end of the Gen'Dais staff off his saber lime a marble hitting the floor and bouncing back up. Wasting no time, Vox got inside the polearm and brought his downward blade up in a quick swing at the midsection of the mad warrior, his second move to bring it back down upon it's head if the warrior had dodged or blocked it.
  4. It was... Unexpected as expected. The Gendai warrior had a twisted philosophy that was as ancient as Vox's ancestors, and there was a moment of understanding and sadness from the Trandoshan. However that quickly washed away with purpose and haste, there was a girl to save, and Vox unfortunately had no other path than to the other side to his people. If only this world wasn't so ruined. Sighing, the Jedi unclipped his strange lightsaber hilt, activating the tool with the flick of a button. The long, deep green and speckled blade came to life, the acid rain dissolving upon touch creating a putrid steam, Vox steeled himself as he allowed a droplet of liquid onto his hand. When the droplet made contact with his scales, the pain was dull but still stung to a degree, discoloring the scales by a little giving him the idea that it wouldn't be good to stay in the rain itself. But there was indeed a way to combat this. Taking some tore leather from his Mauler Shotguns handle, Vox tied it from one jagged side of the metal shield to the other, creating a strap just under his jaw. The rain poured off of it, and the makeshift straps were out of range just enough to not get damage creating a hat to help protect the lizard. Now looking straight ahead, Vox walked forward, utilizing his saber with two hand and creating a defensive stance whilst keeping on track. Form III, Soresu, was a defensive combat form for the Jedi that he had trained in, whilst one day Vox would try for something good enough to combat a lightsaber that wasn't a lightsaber to better utilize the unorthodox swordsmanship of his people. Old ways die slow and hard. "I did not wish harm on you, warrior," Vox openly states as he stopped a solid five feet from the Gendai and made a gesture for them to move first, "However, you block me from my people. Now is a last chance to step aside."
  5. "Wait!" Vox barked, he would've reached out with the Force to pull her back but already the girl had prepared a leap, pulling her now could have potentially draw her back into the crazed warrior's striking zone. Watching the girl fall down, Vox took several quick hazardous steps forward until an immediate stop had popped into his mind. Again using the Force, Vox tried to triangulate whete exactly the girl had fallen only to find that she clung to the support beams. Thank Lina she was safe, thought the Trandoshan, before his attention was snapped back to the metal guard. Something was... Aberrant about this fellow, this time, he directed the Force to the being to try and reach out telepathically. Perhaps he was indeed a lunatic, perhaps he had a death wish, but Vox wanted to better understand this being that stood so still and resolute. What makes you tick? Weaving and allowing the Force to swirl fron his body did Vox send a "cloud" to the warrior, he needed to hurry to get to the girl but at the rate this was going he needed patience. Whatever energy in the Force he had this was it, he had expend much of the power between tracking and communing, what he had now would be minimal. Much like the girl, Vox would attempt to communicate, sending a singular thought out in a calm manner. Or as calm as he could get. "Why do you stand here, warrior?" Vox sent the question, hoping for the best.
  6. Vox noticed the ravine in which they were starting to travel, junk and destroyed metal surrounded the area above and below and ahead was a path. A single path, the bridge. And he was the first to noticed the strange armored figure standing so patiently in this acid rain, even if the bridge looked like it was about to collapse it didn't. Oddly the resolve of the stoic being gave Vox a sense of respect, only a madman would truly withstand the full brunt of this chaotic downpour. "None shall pass! Approach further, and die.” Stopping just short of the bridge itself, Vox said to Blest, "Allow me to handle this... I don't think it'll end well," Before turning his attention to the armored entity, his booming voice matching that of the man's, "Well met warrior! I see that you are fulfilling a great duty. I must ask for a favor however, my apprentice and I seek passage to my people on the other side, and this bridge is the only path we can take. If you allow us through, I will swear to you as an honorable warrior to reinforce this bridge when this weather subsides so you may further guard it. Perhaps a different bargain... Unless..." There was a sense of pride, staking a promise on a warriors word is high amongst the Nudono. So much so that failing to live up to the promise can result in death either by a death match or suicide. It was clear in his tone that Vox was serious and was quite generous, and he continued as if he too were a madman, "We shall let our fists decide our outcome?"
  7. When the woman followed, Vox could only move forward and collect his thoughts. He had to make haste to the refugee encampment as it was whete the pair could get food and water... Gods only knew what exactly his war clan made up, hoping it wasn't fried bits of the enemy, the last thing he needed was a scarred female in his presence. As he continued he felt a droplet of rain and at first it was welcomed but then he could feel the sizzling feeling of something eating away at his scales. Then there was another, and more followed, and before the Trandoshan could become fully enveloped by the incoming torrent he quickly got into cover under a half hanging sheet metal. Immediately the Jedi brushed and wiped away the acid rain upon his body, huffing in annoyance that rain on this planet was particularly dangerous... Why?! What caused the water to become this way?! Shaking his head he took a thick piece of metal and started to bend it into am umbrella of sorts, more like a shield but it would serve its purpose. Now holding the large chunk over his frame, he moved out into the danger once more this time with better preparation. "This world is... Strange..." Vox openly said to himself while leading the way, "Rain is not meant to eat away at flesh, it's blasphemous."
  8. The Jedi watched on as the female seemingly spoke given the slight gestures but nothing besides the faint static escapee the mouthpiece over the mouth. A rebreather? No, something else, perhaps it was a broken something that helped her speak? Whatever the case, the girl starts to make more obvious gestures and hand symbols, they were relatively easy to understand given the circumstance, but it took Vox a minute to piece together the puzzles he had seen. He was more used to hand signals when hunting or in war, specific ones used to prioritize certain objectes and prey. With a grunt, the Trandoshan reached out abs grasped the females left shoulder, his scaly hand large enough to crush the limb without struggle. Focused once again on the Force, Vox allowed it to pulsate through his body and channel his thoughts to energy which he transfered to her. He was no expert on these powers, but he had hoped his idea would work and that it would make communication better. Only issue was he had to stay in contact if it did. "I have a friend that can fix this voice box," Vox's thoughts scrambled to the female, loose but understandable with a heavy accent of his kind, "Come, little one, we will return to our camp. We have food and water." The Trandoshan's connection was lost as soon as he removed his hand from the females shoulder. What followed was a draining of stamina, a side effect of the communication trick that took a far greater toll than his usual abilities. Practice makes perfect. He stood and turned to an openening through the metal, the direction he knew the camp was... He prayed to the gods that his brothers and comrades were well and safe, given their attitudes it was likely they survived... Maybe less ideally. Vox walked up the small opening and reactivated his long saber, then he proceeded to cut the hole much bigger so the pair would have to struggle with getting through especially with the reptilian bulky armor.
  9. The landing was stuck and quickly did Vox roll away from the collapsing automata, the machine shrieked as it seemingly deactivated mid-fall. Regaining his composure rather quickly yet easily did the Trandoshan sigh and disignite his deep green saber. Then it cane as fast as he reactivated his blade, the Force pulled unto him an immediate warning or perhaps itbwas instinct, he swings the weapon once against a sliced the broken piece of concrete into pieces. While some of the many pieces did pelt his torso most of the larger chunks, there was slight pain but nothing like a knife digging into his scales, more similar to hardened strikes of a fist. Yet again Vox deactivated his saber and holstered the elongated hilt into an armored pouch, he still had much of his heavy plated armor on save for torso, which the shattered and whole pieces Romulus took with him. His arms and waist down were still very much covered in protection, afterall, if the saber didn't provide all of the protection he needed a little something to compensate, yes? The attention was tore to the smaller figure which collapsed in a heap of exhaustion. The Trandoshan started to walk toward the individual, easing his thoughts and contemplating what to say, the best option was to assess the damage that was dealt. The Jedi's approach was soft despite the hard crunching of armored boot, as he stepped more into the light it was quite evident that he was indeed amongst the renowned or infamous Trandoshans. His form was albeit different, given his slightly longer snout and maw and his masculine build- Not the lanky bodies of his reptilian cousins. He only hoped he would not scare the small creature. When upon the being, Vox's approach slowed until he was just feet away from her. His gaze seemed cold at first but softened, he kneeled in front of the girl and spoke in his soft, but deep tone, "You handled yourself like a true fighter. Are you well?"
  10. Vox was impressed that the individual handled the machine quite well, a change in tactics happened as the machine tried blasting its way to victory. The girl, as Vox determined her to be, was agile and quick and wasted no time improvising her situation. Almost as if to strangulation the machine thr girl swiftly clung to its back and used the chains to wrap three heads together, in turn causing it to rampage a flurry of Blaster bolts. As enjoyable the show was Vox took notice that the energy shots struck the ceiling and even through the roof. The sporadic firing was sure to cause a cave-in which Vox would be top of, his objective was still to save this tiny soul however the means to do was changing on him. He needed it to be an ambush, he wanted it to be swift and without much harm but he didn't know if that would be optional. What options could he exhaust? Quickly the Knight had moved with haste on the hole riddled rooftop to get better positioned for his drop, and just as he did he reactivated his connection to the Force for a bit of guidance and to catch his fall. Already he could tell the metallic roof was groaning as more bolts met its ruined state, his weight maybe not helping but it wasn't too much an ordeal. Within moments Vox unsheathed his oddly long saber hilt and waited further until the machine spun once again. There. Now! Vox dropped through a sizable hole in the roof and used the Force to wrap around his legs and feet, reinforcing the stability of when he would land. The saber was activated, and a much longer-than-usual energy blade sprung from the hilt. Just as fast as he dropped the Jedi aimed for the machines left legs as it twirled in frustration, the controlled beam slicing through its joints amd into the ground. Without hesitation he slashed diagonally with precision to slice an arm off while still avoiding to hit the girl.
  11. Entering out of Hyperspace was sudden yet there was no feeling of joy with the sight they were faced with. Nar Shaddaa, for however long her conflict was over, was burning and ruined. Despite the victory of the Alliance, the Sith had dealt their damage and Vox didn't need the Force the feel the deaths of thousands of not several million from the cityscape orb. What happened here? Were his kin alright, how long have they been gone for? "God's below..." Romulus says, he had stopped the finishing touches of the equipment he repaired and was now gazing at the planet, "You can see areas that are still burning... Vox, we need to get back to the others, if there was a war here we gotta make sure they're okay!" The Nudono Jedi nodded and turned his head to the pilot, he gave them the exact coordinates of the shuttle station or refugee camp his remnant tribe was settled... He could feel that they were alive and well thanks to that tinge of the Force that lingered, he refused to worry about their wellbeing. Even before their dropout from Hyperspace he had stopped the practice of his saber as there was a tich of death, cold and malicious, however the perpetrators had long since left it felt... But knowing the scale of war himself, Vox now started to think about the remaining soldiers that were left over. For right now, his own soldiers. As they lowered into the atmosphere the damage became more clear, there were still fires around the military infrastructure and compounds, fuel and repair stations burned as there hadn't necessarily been a way to put them out quite yet no thanks to the now-ignited fuel cells and whatever else. However there were clearer signs that the Alliance and the Imperials were rebuilding, various camps and recovery areas were built for the wounded and lost. Portions of the city weren't as damaged and families and friends, even strangers were becoming more communal and helping one another out. And of course there were those who were simply scavenging and out for themselves. As they passed over the ruins of a train station Vox felt a sudden pinch in his arm. Something or someone in trouble? He tapped into a small fraction of the Force to root it out but instead of immediately seeing where they were he felt the heartbeat of one individual. They were running and fighting, they were in desperation of an action to happen, and his head turned to where they would be just about. He was a bit urgent about his people however this would take pressing matters, he readied himself and slid the saber hilt into a ringed pouch and fastened the weapon. "Lower the ship... Here." Vox said to Alcemène, and when it was at a reasonable height he said before leaving the cockpit, "I want to thank you for what you have done for me. If you are in need of help, I will be there as soon as I can. Please drop Romulus off at the refugee camp." "But Vox-" "You will join the others. I will not have protest over this." Vox said to his smaller engineer in a stern tone. He would love to bring the smaller Trandoshan with him however this matter only required one. From there, Vox had moved to the cargo hold and once the vessel had lowered he dropped from the catwalk. He landed a littke less gracefully through the hole of a ruined building, regardless he was still on his feet as the dust from the the landing settled slowly and despite the light that was present the interior was still dark save for the open doorway which light poured through. He still had the Mauler he kept just before leaving the planet to becoming a Jedi, granted he preferred the Spiker Carbine it was better than nothing. And so the Trandoshan moved through the rubble and out of the building he was in. There were noises nearby but they were still meters out of the way, and in that same direction he could feel the heartbeat race. Tuning into the Force Vox allowed his vision to become enhanced, as before when he first used these powers all else was dark gray with white outlines, anything still living was represented by a unique coloration via its life force. When he confirmed that only a spare avian or rodent were the only things around he deactivated the vision until he could see regularly, and then he moved quietly with haste. Being born in thick jungles with massive beasts the ruins were almost lime that, so Vox moved with superb agility and found the rubble easier to trek through. The noises got louder and moved onward, a bit closer to his position after minutes of traversing the area, Vox disconnected the energies coming to him as to focus more. From here on the rooftop of a train station he peered through the cracks and crevices of the roof, readying his lightsaber. There he saw it, an automota attacking an individual, she used what looked to be a makeshift hook in hopes of tripping up one of the many legs of the machine. He didn't move yet, no, it was a matter of patience, Vox would know when next to take action, for now he watched as the two struggled and remained hidden. He starts to creep on the metal top and slowly tracked the duo preparing for his next course of action.
  12. It was like holding aspects of life and death in his palm, though Vox didn't show it, he could feel that this crystal was indeed very, very old. Almost like an old tree that had survived the many conflicts of nature and societies, the crystal had its story to tell, one that would be etched and splintered into the essence of the Trandosha Jedi. Vox nodded to his mentor as there was only one thing to do now: build the lightsaber to make the crystal an official home, give it duty, and allow the Trandoshan warrior to become more than a Chieftain that he once was. There was a sense of self fulfillment in this scene that allowed Vox to feel the joy and sense of accomplishment he hasn't had in some time. After boarding the ship, Vox breathed in real air, the Force around him still shimmered and flowed delicately as it qas still needed to help him with one more task. After allowing Alcemène to the cockpit Vox would head to the work station to start rebuilding his prefabricated saber hilt, not realizing how big the crystal was until actually sizing it up. To Vox it was only a few minutes of taking his time crafting this piece, redesigning it and reassembling as the Force guided him. In reality, it took most of the trip to get the job done as one could tell he had moved quite slowly but was also in a trance-like state of meditation. What exactly was Vox doing that it took so long to build a Saber? In truth his meditative state was much deeper as he etched his essence, his very being into the crystal itself as it glowed dully but with a brilliant shine to it. The Force guided his steps much like astral projection but more in the state of the third eye, looking into the beyond and connecting with the rare gemstone. Ko ahau tawhito, He could feel it "speak," I kite hoki ahau i nga tau kua pahure ake nei, nga wairua, nga wairua, me nga rewera, Vox kept in tune as the crystal told its story, depths of history and all ot had seen. Every image burned in his eyes of conflicts and pain, gatherings and rejoice, all through both good and malevolence, Jedi and Sith, but there was only one deciding factor in all of this: Nature. Na ratou ka whiriwhiria e au tenei Tamariki o te Kaha, Tamariki o te natura i whanau mai i te kaha me te nanakia. Maku koe e arahi, e Tama, pera me te tokomaha i arahina e ahau. Tuwhera koe, kia kotahi. The saber clicked shut, Vox snapped from his deep focus. He slowly looked down to see the delicately crafted piece of himself forged into completion. The Teandosha pick the long saber hilt up, a slight curvature at the bottom but overall as straight as it could get, the item he held lokkedvto be hewn of old dark oak. The series if grooves were that of wood almost, but swirling in a seemingly neverending cycle almost taking on a tribal aesthetic. Vox held his weapon upward but lowered it, the Force around him writhed in excitement, his power excited without him even realizing it. The lights of the cargo hold flickered as all noises became silent, and finally when the lights flickered off Vox activated his lightsaber. From the hilt came a deep green blade, speckled with white and black as of it were its own galaxy. The Force around him dissipates as the job was complete and as soon as it did the cargo lights came back on. Vox looked the blade over in amazement, the energy itself was longer than most designed for his size and usage, and finally clicking it off the Trandoshan warrior sighs as exhaustion came over him. He nodded to himself and walked into the cockpit, seeing one Romulus fidgeting with a pad and Alcemène, he spoke finally, "It is done."
  13. Vox's control of the Force was certainly a wonder to behold, but a chaotic wonder, as he couldn't quite get the hang of flying. It was still working though as he seemed to go at a slower pace than what he should have, hesitance crawling in instead of just letting his power to the rest. It was only natural that someone who was still new to the Jedi abilities struggle to keep them steady, although Vox had done well with everything until now. Careful to keep his focus on trying not to fall, Vox also paddled slightly and turned to face his mentor who would bolster his courage. "Very well..." Vox replies carefully, pushing himself upward and into a soft cloud of... Something, that spanned beyond the horizon yet the sun shone through it's thickness at the same time. He honed his focus and allowed the Force to carry and guide the lizard to his destination. Almost immediately did he find what he was looking for and like a blood hound he shot off again, just not quite as fast as he did. The cloud was without a doubt different in pressure, as the longer Vox stayed in it to more he felt his scales grow cold with condensation, his head filled with pressure whilst oxygen seemed to thin out. But this was an experience and path the Force chose for him, even though it seemed suffocating, his whole life had been hardships but that was how he preferred it. Not as some sniveling politician but as a warrior, as all of Trandosha should be. Vox felt like something was nearing him or he was nearing something, as he came upon a green hue of light in the cloud he slowed his pace to a crawl. Approaching slowly even as his body begged for more air, Vox's gaze states right into a green crystal. The piece seemed bigger than he anticipated, but it's glow was unlike the average grass glow he's seen from other lightsabers. The crystal itself was of deep forest green, white and black speckles scattered from within the small gemstone that also cast their own colors, not proudly but allowing them to stand out. But it wasn't like some diamond or sapphire, nothing like an ordinary crystal, a calm energy washed over the Trandoshan that seemingly emanate from the stone itself. In the moment before Vox slowly pulled the crystal into his hand, it was as if the Force opened a floodgate of emotion, pooling everything from his inner being and connecting his energy with the crystal, almost binding himself to it. But he pushed these emotions down and finally grabbed the stone, hushing all emotions that would have escaped. What felt like ages was only seconds, but holding in his hand and gazing at it were the Corusca gem in the palm of Vox, a soft glow of the lively item still shown around the lizards hand. He looked to Alcmène with achievement in his mind, a small victory he was rightfully proud of even if a child could accomplish it. Vox then said as he moved out of the thick cloud and into open space, retrieving the vital thing called air, "It seems I have completed my task," Ever so calmly did the Trandoshan speak, inwardly he fought back loud cheers and howls of victory, why he felt like this he didn't know but it was only natural... Although, it wasn't his style to do such things, "Will this be all? Or are there more tasks?"
  14. That was much easier said than done. Vox learned quickly indeed, but his focus was starting to grow more and more chaotic. It wasn't thought process or comprehension instead it was the energy all around him and how the charged energy flowed all around and through him. It was growing tinge too much. Vox tried to focus again this time with a little more succession as his body slowly rose in the air, not particularly flying by any means but elevation was something at least. Letting loose a rough sigh, Vox focused his efforts this time doing exactly as he done before when he was free falling. And slowly with success, he started to inch forward until inches grew into feet... And once he got it the Trandoshan unexpectedly zipped off like cannon fire. It wasn't so much he couldn't handle, the Force flower through him a bit too much and now he was darting up with an overcharge of power. His mind couldn't adjust in time, so he replied on the Force as should, and tried to slow his speed, his body had grow too used to his efforts and now that cracked door was wide open. He needed control. Forcing that door close and starting to close himself off Vox could feel the Force start to dwindle until it was, again, coming through a cracked door. He could feel it in the air and through the planet itself, but it was too much. Now his speeding had stopped to a crawl, he panted not from the loss of every but from the overwhelming feeling he had of it. And after a moment of recollecting himself Vox moved forward again, oy this time at a fast walking pace.
  15. The Force felt strong, pure but different due to this planets life force. It felt lighter but stronger at the same time, a testament to the goliath of the gas giant of course, however things would take a swift turn. Vox thought for a moment, thinking why he would fly a ship from the cargo bay until a solid kick to the armored chest of the large heavy Trandoshan surprisingly launched him over the platform. Vox's mind was filled with a flurry of thought wondering why Alcmène kicked him over the edge, had he outlived his use? Was there no potential to his power,m Those questions would rapidly shut down as he witnessed Alcmène join the armored lizard, now a slew of more questions entering his mind. Everything seemed to spin as gravity was pulling him down, there was chaos only as the equilibrium was of no use. That was until there was one voice that struck through the mess of thoughts, one Vox felt familiar with although he knew not who it was. Focus, the voice spoke softly, Calm your nerves, ease your mind, and focus on what you want to do instead of what you can't do. Vox eventually gained his control in the air with his belly facing down toward the surface of the planet, he gritted his teeth as he pushed every thought he had out of his head and tried to focus. Concentrate on the wind, let the Force bend the air around you. Vox eased his body, instead of fighting the currents of the wind he let it take him, instead of trying to control he simply allowed all to happen. He reached out to the Force and it reach back, empowering and filling his body with energy. The first thing The first thing the Trandoshan did was slow his free fall, not immediately but to a crawl as to not destroy his muscles nor innards. Everything felt like it came to a slow halt, with the Force slowly shimmering around his body he allowed it to keep him afloat almost like water. His breathing was ragged but I the end the Apprentice had achieved what was needed to be done, albeit unexpectedly.
  16. The ship seemed to groan and shudder as they exited and entered from atmosphere to atmosphere. From one planet with life to another that had none and the difference in life force between the large orbs was felt by the Trandoshan. Nonetheless, Vox kept his eyes gazing about in wander and amazement as he scanned the great differences in sizes and colors. Upon entry of the gas giant Vox unintentionally shuddered as a new energy could be felt. Was this what he was meant to experience? The cargo door opened and Vox turned his head to the outside, then back to Alcmène as she asked him a curios question. Did he really want to fly? He could handle a gun and blade no issue, but an actual craft? He turned his full body to her and said, "Well... Better sooner than later, show me how this craft works."
  17. The power, the flow, and tinge of life that teemed on the planet was all the more to take in to the Trandoshan. He gazed around until Alcmène said something, then realized he allowed himself to get out of hand. Vaux focused and closed the Force and reception his mind and spirit were receiving and bottlenecked them until he could finely focus on the task at hand. He looked to the direction of the Sith temple, and though it was a sage bet to try there, something told him that was not the place of choice. Instead, Alcmène also pointed out the soul-crushing depths of the planet that naturally made the crystals. That was where it would take his instincts and thoughts. "Against better judgement, I would like to retrieve my own saber crystal and not one already founded. What I found trouble with the one I used during the spar was... My inability to connect through it, almost like it already had an owner. No, it would seem almost pointless to pull one from the ruins, it would be the same as asking the Naboo Queen for one, and I wouldn't want to steal one and claim it my own." Vaux spoke truly and freely, it was his honest opinion- damned be the dangers and trials ahead. He was no thief, it was laziness to grab someone else's work and to say it was his. Romulus rubbed the back of his head and said, "I dunno... I mean... It doesn't belong to anyone if they're dead, ya know? I don't it'd be safe-" Vaux was quick to interrupt his smaller companion, "It is my choice, Roamaulus, the Force-" Vox looked into the direction of the outline of the Gas Giant Yavin; that shone a blue-orange in the dusk sky, "It guides me there. I don't know if we have the equipment, but if we need to go it slow then so be it. I wouldn't do this if it didn't feel necessary."
  18. Reaching the planet of Yavan, the jungle world was simply a beautiful emerald sphere that remind Jedi Vox of his homeworld Trandosha. Albeit, there was a pull of sorts, the closer Alcmènes ship drew toward the planet the closer Vox felt to the Force itself. There was a richness in life when he reached out to the Force of the world, unmolested by large traffic or cities, in only it's natural state at the utmost complete form of life. Something tugged at him though or rather his essence, almost beckoning him to join the natural life. Vox's sudden trance was interrupted when Romulus walked up and was staring at the Yavan as well, "Didn't think there were other place like home, huh Vox?" "No... I didn't think there would be either." Vox's response seemed distant as if he was focused on something else. It at least caused the smaller Nudono to frown and start gathering equipment that be would need for a wilderness trip. To Romulus it was a run of the mill adventure, but to his larger friend it was more than a trip. "Fates, old gods, I have begun my destiny." Vox immediately thought, the words almost coming out of nowhere and echoed through the chasms of his mind like a single voice. He didn't believe in fate nor destiny, nor their people's gods Maccond, Lina, Una, Sare, Acheron, Dedanna, nor the first father Sultefeign. His belief in the Force was witnessed, however the same voice he heard in his head whispered to take that leap. No, no prophecies, their people would suffer enough from religion. Once on the planet Vox had his Puncture raised as did Romulus with his custom weapon, a spike pistol of sorts, and once they felt the area was secured Vox relaxed. Relax was something that wasn't resonating well with the Trandoshan, the planet was overwhelming with life, with the Force and he tried to fight it internally. The area they landed in perfectly hid the ship, near a massive stream and near a waterfall surrounded by a canopy of trees. The sun pierced through the leaves and created plenty enough light to allow the group to see just fine.
  19. Though his argument seemed true enough, Vox knew Alcmène was correct. Given the current build of the weapon he thought it was as easy as snapping a stone into the tool and it was done. That was not, in fact, the case at all. Vox did as told and grabbed whatever he could, taking someone's journey bag and stuffing it full of equipment at least enough to make two sabers with spare parts left. No thanks to Romulus, Vox almost knew what to grab as far as carving material for metals go, as well as a few pieces for natural carvings as well. By the time he was done the armored Trandoshan had a ridiculous amount of things that may or may not be important including his schematics and the tool kit, in all reality he had no clue what he was really grabbing, but unbeknownst to himself, he had more than enough. Vox hadn't the time to look up at his mentor to see that she was gone already, he supposed he'd use the Force to find her if need be. Finding his way out of the facility, he would certainly be heading back to the starport where his brothers and comrades were also staying, albeit in the refugee camp. That was easy to find. Leaving with a sense of purpose, Vox had spent the next minutes in a seeming maze until reaching outside where he took the directions all the way to the refugee camp. Upon reaching the camp after some time, Vox made his way to the set of refurbished cargo containers and outside there was a large crowd. Immediately his thoughts rested on Krexis and Rylast perhaps training and catching the attention of people from around. Other refugees, civilians, even troopers and officers were tad closer than to be wary of swinging limbs and blades, there was hushed whisper and then cheers and awe. What was going on? When he reached the makeshift home Vox tried to look over the surrounding group of people, possibly forty in total if not a little less but after seeing two colored heads below the group he knew it was to no avail. After walking around the group he heard a sudden voice, Chaox speaking almost arrogantly, "I deal a hundred damage directly, and you discard two chips." "Oh shit! C'mon, you're losin'!" One Twi'lek merchant states, catching Vox's attention. The warrior grew tiresome and finally found a spot where he could get a glimpse of both Chaox and Varsus... Sitting at a metal table, with stone chips of painted characters and numbers splayed in an odd but organized fashion. The table was split into two sides, and while Vox was trying to figure out what was going on Varsus quickly flipped over a chip in a section closest to him, and said in a dramatic tone, "I activate Pawn Retrieval, which allows me to bring back one Tier 2 Monster from the Graveyard. Then I add two Tier 4 monsters back into my deck and draw one chip. I then activate another trap chip in a chain, Acid Rain, which deals a hundred damage to your life points for every monster on the field, then you discard a card from the top of your deck times the number of Magic chips you have on the field!" Immediately the crowd roared in cheering or booing, some people exchanging credits to each other. Shaking his head, Vox couldn't help but smile, happy that Varsus was out but recovering. He couldn't help but grin at the distressed look of Chaox who was never on the backfoot of anything, including some game. Entering the home, Vox could already tell the warriors had been hard at work refurbishing the place, making it more... Liveable was the closest word came to mind. The place was clean and more furniture was added, but he then saw the weaponry and equipment against the North wall, cleaned and repaired, the handy work of Romulus, Krexis and Rylast no doubt. "Romulus, Equinox?" Vox called out to the odd noises toward the back of the building. He walked to the back and pressed a button to the side, and when the door opened Rylast pulled Vox through and immediately shut the door. Romulus asks quickly from across a table of parts, "Where have you been?!" Vox walked forward when the largest Trandoshan in the room went back to working on a piece of armor and wires, he took a look at the station, then the room which seemed more organized, "I've been... Training. What are you doing?" "Finishing..." Romulus put together an odd weapon, the crude make of Nudono as it's heavy metal design also had a blade sticking from it's underside with holes sizeable for fingers to grip the weapon, without the potential to cut oneself, "With our newest prototype. I realized if we're dealing with long ranged weapons like these blaster, it's best to adopt their style of weaponry... In our own style, of course! Here, hold it!" Romulus tossed the weapon to Vox who'd set the tool kit down, he caught the rifle and looked it over. It looked like a modified Spike Carbine, however it was a foot longer and had a stock. No longer did the weapon have two blades but one and it didn't have a ammo clip, instead the parts that were missing had a compartment for the same gas cells that blasters took. But oddly, where a magazine clip would be was a vacant slot, which raised several questions. But Vox didn't have time to ask, his mentor was waiting for him. "Sooo what'cha think?" Shaking his head after setting the almost finished weapon down Vox replies, "I think I'll be leaving. Quite the... Device you've made?" "Leaving? Where?" Romulus asks almost as if forgetting the weapon. "Leaving with a friend. You remember those energy blades the Black Cloaks possessed? I am to travel to another planet to grab a crystal for one of my own. Wait, where are Krexis and Equinox?" Romulus stares for a minute before he started to grab a things into his own backpack, already having an armored jumpsuit of his own make on just in case something like this came up, "They're off gathering food for a feast, also they are grabbing components, parts, and whatever else we need for the house and our equipment, plumbing here is horrid! They'll be gone most the day. The Alliance granted us a ton of credits for our missions. Oh, and of you're wondering about Chaox and Varsus they're playing Duel Monsters, bringing in a lotta credits those two, and I have him they're being watched live on the Holonet." Vox watched the little Trandoshan scurry about, putting parts back down or setting them in a pouch of his bag. What was he doing, and what in Maccond's name was Duel Monsters, and the Holonet for that matter? Worse yet, Romulus seemed to be looking for something, rounding things up, but Vox simply said his goodbyes and left immediately before he could be dragged out for more conversation. When he exited the outside he could see Chaox cussing Varsus, with the younger Trandoshan adding something to an effect or whatever it was. The crowd slightly grew larger, and there were two small droids in the shake of orbs hovering of the center. It was a bizarre sight to say the least. Finally after more minutes of travel, Vox reached the vessel Alcmène was waiting at, which he could only smile. Upon reaching the woman he was about to say something until he heard a familiar voice he'd just left, "Wait! Waaiiit!" Vox turned and to his confusion, Romulus came rushing with a large backpack full of junk, and two weapon slung to his front and a Spiker holstered to his side. He held the same tool kit Vox left behind and held it out for his superior to take, panting at the same time. The Jedi in training took the kit, before asking, "What are you doing here, Romulus?" "I... I'm coming!" Romulus said catching his breath, the clear distinction between the two Trandoshans we're clear with what Vox being taller and bulkier, clad in armor while Romulus was scrawny, just a tad taller than the average Human and was garbed in an armored plates jumpsuit, "Equinox ordered me that if you were leaving again, I come with you, you need protection and with what the Sith and their death armies being about I'd personally rather your odds be more favorable... By a percent at least!" "I...! You...!" Vox was trying to think of a way to keep Romulus grounded, but no excuse could stop the smaller lizard from coming along. Defeated, Vox finally turned to Alcmène, "Forgive the... Holdup. It seems we will have a guest to our company, if you would not mind him."
  20. Vox finished his saber design, a unique in that it's colors were black and bronze but held a natural look about it as if hewn from wood. The hilt was elongated to where it easily allowed for two handed use while still have extra space to work with, the weapons handle was mainly black with every other piece being dark bronze; the accents and color of the various interconnected symbols were colored as brown to help keep it's natural look. For Vox even though his drawing was acceptable at some level this was new, he'd never planned on building a literal saber, however he paused and thought for a good moment. He paused due to little insight as to how to build a new weapon, this wasn't like forging a new sword, this had many pieces to it. "Yes, we will go then. Once I have built my saber we will get a crystal from this Yaven. Until then... I might need assistance in building my new tool. I'm not familiar with putting together these lightsabers." Vox said, not too proud he's asking hell to build a new weapon, something most of his tribespeople knew... Most being the key word.
  21. Vox followed the woman, already pulling out his own lightsaber. They moved through a flight of steps entering through colors of black and red accents for the interiors. A minute later Alcmène explained the situation regarding the saber crystals as they arrived at a station. It was more advanced than the forges of the Nudono... Well more simple and advanced, in that there were a variety of parts and pieces. Listening in to the questions regarding the crystal, something immediately pulled Vox and he seemed to almost be repulsed at the idea of synthetic. "No," Vox immediately says, pulling a paper and the pen from Alcmène, he started at a reference point using his own saber, "No synthetic crystals, it isn't natural... It isn't right. In my first battle against the Sith, an Apprentice who wielded an orange blade, I lost my tribes glaive which burned brightly of deep green in almost a wicked way. My father had told me our ancestors hewn the weapon from many chieftains swords and spears, the crystal in it's center originating from a frozen realm." Vox continued as he finished the outline of the weapon, and started on fine details almost having no clue with what exactly he was drawing. More or less, he was using instinct than intellect, "There was something of importance in that glaive, something beyond it being a simple tool or weapon. My father told me takes of how our past was buried within the blade itself, the hilt being a key... But I'm not certain of what to make of it. Beyond that I have no clue. I could ask the Naboo Queen however I doubt she has one... No, it would seem that I need to find the crystal itself, it would only seem right to do so."
  22. Vox finished his series of blocks and parties and counters, by now he'd gain some distance of several feet when Alcmène paused. He did this to help gain some advantage however the smiling woman clicked her saber off, he did the same. Vox was curious if they were done but he didn't have to wait long as he felt the adrenaline catch up, and so Vox had slowly shed the Force away from his body and he could feel just how drained he really was. While Vox was certainly a natural, the Force was still taxing enough that it could drain his stamina in such a way he didn't think was possible. The Trandoshan clicked his saber off as well, tossing the practice tool forward Alcmène, "I feel confident enough, I suppose. Yet something is... Amiss. Tell me, you people wouldn't be able to customize your lightsabers, would you? I have an appreciation for these tools however they barely fit my hand, and while I feel you have taught me to your fullest I still have much to learn."
  23. Vox's movements were smooth as Alcmène taught him calmly. Blocking attacks from a Force enhanced individual was like blocking flying rocks, it stiffened his wrists but he didn't complain. However the woman had more a lesson to teach when she easily parried his blade, and in that manner she wanted the lizard to exactly that. He didn't let his excitment interrupt the connection to the Force for Vox settled on its flow, his movements like motions to a river; swift and strong but calm. When Alcmène went for the offensive Vox it was like slow motion for him. He angled his weapon and allowed the opposing blade to slide down half way until he knocked it out of the way with a slight push of his own, and the he went for the counter. Back and forth he either countered or he defended himself in the fashion he was shown using the steady movements and flow of the energies that surrounded the pair. In truth he enjoyed this, a warrior of a different kind teaching a novice their ways, it brought him back to the old days when he was learning about the blade when Vox was young. Vox had the style if fighting down to a T, mixing it with his lessons he's learned so far. He was no fool nor an eager hound for Vox understood how to pick up quickly and move, he learns fast and he was always more hands-on with any method. Vox was just as quick to go on the offensive as he was the defensive, the woman's blade hardly blocked and instead parried or rolled off; however he didn't want the fight to end, he savoured the practice. To any bystander their movements were as fast as the wind in a flurry of blade swinging, but to him everything was as if it flowed in normal time of not a tad slower.
  24. Vox's maneuver was met with compliments. Good, it gave the Trandoshan some more courage to push forward in the figurative sense. The Force warned him of an incoming wave, not large or flashy but rather a strong and small push of force toward his ankles. His instincts scream jump but the Force said something... Else. Quickly Vox tugged on the Force around him and blocked the power coming toward him. The instant he did that, Vox pressed forward, and instead of one hand gripping the saber he used both for better control and swifter movement. When he approached Alcmène, Vox swung again this time using the Force to bolster his speed, his controlled attack swipe diagonally from the lower left to the upper right similar to his "brilliant" strike before. He knew the attack could get parried or dodged so he came back down with his blade following the smaller woman as he did. Though his pursuit seemed eager, which it was, he didn't rush nor did he strike with needless or excess power, Vox allowed the Force to guide his movements, and though now they'd be moving at a fervent speed to him everything was slowed down.
  25. Vox felt the blade glide in front of Alcmène. Not so much the weight but the lack of contact vacant from it, while he had a generalized idea as to using such a weightless weapon it compared nothing to the real metal of a blade. And that was what he was missing it seemed, real weight, and these Lightsabers were tricky to utilize. He had the rest of his lifetime to figure these things out however Vox also had the feeling he would need to learn these tricks sooner than later. Of course, it mattered when the Human spun and kicked the Trandoshan on the mat below. He had felt the pulse of the Force through that blow and it was much harsher than anticipated. But he didn't complain, and though Alcmènes hand was grasp he did most the getting up and recomposed himself. Vox was eager, but he was more focused on fighting someone much smaller than he was, not the many warriors he had trained with. This one was could easily use his size against him, and that was going to change. Vox eased himself and allowed the Force to creep in once more, and in an instant Alcmène attempted to struck again with her foot. He let the Force cradle him back as the foot passed by, however Alcmène came again this time trying to jab the lizard in his neck with his saber. Vox again took another step back and and spun his own blade around to knock the opponents aside, he then took a step forward and swiped with his saber at the woman's waist level; being such a lightweight sword, he was able to quickly start an offensive, yet something still missing. He felt only half of his attack, as if there wasn't enough aggression in his speed. Regardless of that fact, Vox had known his counter would either be dodged or blocked. He allowed the Force to guide his instincts and senses of the enemy before him, and if she so chose to strike back he would be ready this time.
