  1. "I absolutely wont stand for it. We've already drawn way too much attention from major organizations without having complicated and convoluted sorts like you." The loud strong voice of the governor was like a loud ringing bell within the very small room. Of the entire room occupants, only Zalis and Le Livian were present for Czerka. Or rather, Black Sun. Many of the others were city officials who were present to hear the proposal to bring in a Czerka office and store to the main starport hubs. Zalis turned to look at Le, her Yarkora bodyguard and gave him a confused face, making it super obvious at her dismay at the outburst from the governor, and she allowed for it to remain as she turned around to address the room. "I think that there is some major misunderstanding of what is being proposed here." Leaning in to place her right elbow on the table, while simultaneously putting her right hand on her chin to support it, she shifted her weight in the chair ever so slightly. "The Jedi are not major- they haven't been in a long while. There is too much for them to do within the widespread of this new system being implemented at the Core. You haven't drawn any other attention, which is why I'm offering this service to you." Her hand went from jaw to being placed down, crossing both arms upon the table. "Czerka has long been known as a central hub for spacers as they travel the galaxy. Under my leadership, we have worked hard to expand to more than just major planetary hubs. Even major planets like Corellia have finally allowed for us to help them out by setting up shop at Coronet City." Zalis stood up, allowing for her flowing dress that seemed to strategically only have certain parts longer than others to move freely about the room as she began to pace within the small confines between the table and the door of the room they were in. "You fear the association with Black Sun. The markets of slave trading here captured the eyes of a very zealous Jedi who believed she could simply force her will upon the galaxy. A rightfully thing to hold in fear. But Czerka does not hold those ties as much. While it is still known to many within the shadows of the galaxy that I still hold Black Sun and run it with an iron fist... Czerka is protected under many of the different organizations that held the seat of power in the galaxy through the Business and Good Security Act. So long as we allow for taxes to be paid and operate legitimate business, we are protected. What happens behind the scenes in the shadows... Needs to be caught in the act to hold any true threat." She now placed both of her hands behind her back and clasped them together as she slowly turned to face the crowd before her. Thalassia had long since been one of the many spots of slave trade. And ever since Crust had fallen, they quickly became number one, as they remained tucked away from the majority of the galaxy. This was one of her final few spots she needed to have strong presence at before she could easily fully network the entire galaxy's black market and vice through the underworld of dregs, smugglers and all sorts of scoundrels. Of the remain few, Thalassia would be the easiest to win over, as the majority of their income faded away upon the Jedi strike against the slave trade here years ago. They had long since become only a hive to even poorer populations, which disrupted a major flow of traffic to the planet, leaving it low and undesirable for any major faction to want to support. They needed to backing of Czerka, if only to bring forth traffic back to the planet. Black Sun would allow for even more flow of credits. The governor turned to look at all of his officials before he looked down and spoke. "Give us a small fifteen minute break to deliberate this more behind closed doors. We will call you back in the either discuss details of a deal or to gently see you off planet." Zalis didn't respond with words, but gave a slight smile and bow and then turned, letting Ve lead her out of the room. **** Hours Later *** Zalis and Ve Livian left the governors office and headed towards the main starport. Ve kept his eyes darting back and forth a few times, checking to see if they were at all in danger. "Relax. This planet doesn't have the resources or even reach to touch us without a major backlash that would destroy them. The Jedi made sure of that." A loud boom like noise of a ship quickly moving overhead interrupted her thought and allowed for even her to look up. As the ship passed by and the noise settled down, she then turned her own eyes to dart back towards the main office of the governor before turning back to focus upon where the two were headed. "Besides, Akor'ketez will need to make sure he follows up here quickly. I have a feeling that without securing Savareen and Manaan within the next few months, we could be in real danger." As the two made it to her ship, Ve spoke as the two walked up the ramp. "You said it yourself a while ago. A risk to expand, but one that holds way too many benefits versus cons. You're leadership team is behind you." The small comfort brought a smile to Zalis' face. It was all true, and she knew she had to make the moves. Within twenty minutes, the two were off planet and headed towards their next destination.
  2. Enyahue stood watching the girl play and practice her games. The Twi'lek took as many notes as she could for the Vigo, as she understood there was a high chance that Zalis herself wanted the girl to perform to the top peak. As she took her notes watching the first two games, Fluanern showed up behind her suddenly. "How has she done thus far?" The Twi'lek turned and offered to show her the notes, when Fluanern dismissed them. "A verbal report would be better suited for me." There was a blank stare at the Vigo before regaining her composure. "Well she has thus far has been extremely talented with Jubilee Wheel. Hintaro is Hintaro. I haven't seen anyone been terribly too bad. She however is struggling with Denebian holo-chess. But you expected that from her..." The Vigo stepped forward past her and looked at the situation. The Vigo shifted from side to side for a second before just power walking to the girl. "Feeling more confident with the games?"
  3. Enyahue, the tan skinned Twi'lek from before showed up into the main dining hall, seeking out the new acquisition. As she entered the room, her eyes darted from one per to the next, even though there was only five people within the room. To her, she didn't memorize the girl, only that she was one. A human female, much like a few of the other Vigos. Only Akor'ketez was non-human and a Vigo, and second only to Zalis. She found the girl finishing up something on her plate, so she knew that she was done. Walking straight up, she just began to speak to the girl without and formal introduction. "Lady Fluanern has you setup today to work on three games. Junilee Wheel, Denebian holo-chess and Hintaro. She believes those are going to be featured in your upcoming mission. Although she also suspects a few of the older classic ones may be present, so she wants for me to see which games you're fully familiar with." The Twi'lek handed the girl a datapad, but not directly at her. She handed it in such a way that almost implied she should stand up and get ready to follow her.
  4. Fluanern took a moment and glanced at the girl beside her. She was a talkative one for sure, but it wasn't necessarily something bad for the job. Just meant there could be some loose moments. They've had talker before, but very few would keep talking and asking questions by the time of the turbolift. As the question about her name came up, Enyahue, a tan skinned Twi'lek approached them. "The room has been setup as requested, along with the guest quarters." The Vigo waved her off and thanked her for the work. She turned and began to walk towards the quarters, allowing for this to be the time to fill the girl in on things. "You'll be held up here a good two days working on some practice tests. Maybe less depending upon how well you actually do. Then we're going to send you to Titan to work the table there and meet Zalis, who will then give you the details on the job." She handed her a keycard. "It will get you into most rooms that you have access to, I don't care if you explore. When you're finished with the job, you'll get paid 20,000 credits upon completion-maybe more for other incentives." The Vigo stopped in front of a door. "I'll leave you to get changed and comfortable. The dining hall will be serving breakfast tomorrow from 6-8." Giving the younger girl a slight bow, she turned and began to walk away. As she walked away, she did finally answer the girls question about her. "I'm a Lorrdian from Lorrd." She finished as she turned a corner, ready to quickly finish up other things she was working on before she got called away, and to get some rest before the busyness of the next few days really kicked in.
  5. Fluanern stood and studied the girl for a moment. She had wondered how long it would take for her to get out of her restraints, and was a bit curious as to when the exact moment was. But for now, she had a lot of work to do on the girl and not a lot of time to do it. She almost rolled her eyes as the girl finished, but held it in with great restraint. Letting her heels almost begin to turn towards the main turbolift, she just simply began to walk without waiting for the girl, but responding to her as she walked away. "Your debts may be something you'll be doing for a while. But to answer your question, training. I will not risk you into the main plot already in motion without you first proving your skills.- And you can call me Fluanern. Not Vigo. Not Vigoness. Just Fluanern." She opened the door for the turbolift and hit the button that would bring them to the office floor, where there was a simulator. "You're ability to lift things and play high stakes games will be the skills you need to have sharpened and proved before I reveal to you what the overall purpose and goal of bringing you in was for."
  6. Even as her words came out, Fluanern turned and raised both eyebrows at the girl in utter disapproval of the notion. She must have caught on, as the silence that followed the unfinished question. As the girl rambled on for a bit, the Vigo held in more annoyance at the very fact she was underselling herself. But as she finally got around to striking the real question that she danced around for a bit, Fluanern turned to directly look at her. Upon her finishing, she turned her head and looked back forward. "First off, don't sell yourself short. Zalis herself used her good looks, slender frame and just an overall eye candy only appearance to work as an assassin. It's what got her into Black Sun at first." She turned for a moment to look at the girl. "Her discontentment with the status quo and being held back is what moved her forward enough to be the head." She then turned back to see a turn coming up as the speeder came into the final stretch of road to only have Sandorne palace stand in full view. "And no. You are no killer. We don't need that from you and I wouldn't waste my time with someone who could just as easily work up the ladder normally." The speeder came to a full stop, and Fluanern wasted no time in opening her own door and stepping out. Upon the girl taking her own step out into the main speeder hangar of the palace is when she opted to finish the sentence. "You're very useful as what you are... a distraction." Her eyes raised just slightly as she looked upon the girl.
  7. "Move" There wasn't any hesitation upon the girl getting into the speeder. As the Bothan drove them away and the girl asked her question, the older of the two women turned her head ever so slightly with an eyebrow raised. "You are within this speeder for two reasons." She adjusted herself to sit to be facing the girl. As she spoke, she did so while looking past the girl and not directly at her. "First off, talent is hard to come by. Even though the Violet Caprice doesn't have the top class of security by any means, you did manage to get in and secure some winnings." Fluanern made no attempt to even hide her disgust at the place. "With some training, you could easily help move our organization forward." Her voice suggested that it may be a lot of work to get her to a decent level. There was a slight pause for a moment. The girl would doubtfully understand the truth in why she was kept, and the Vigo knew such answers may never be revealed until a much later date. Shifting again, she turned to face forward. "The second reason is Bollils Vapet, the Muun who owns the Violet Caprice. He's been a slight irritant to Black Sun recently. You walking away both is revenge and a slap in his face." A smile came to her own face as she thought of the Muun's face when he realized what had just happened to him under his nose. She turned to look at the girl again. "You exposed something he was warned about. And the more elevation I give you, the more he'll squirm.
  8. Whatever feelings the Admiral had, Zalis was feeling the opposite, and even more so since his departure from the group. She flirted and worked the room, connecting with so many others until she finally called it a night after being at the Gala for over four hours. Only the clean up crew and the hosts remained by the time she returned to her hotel room, where the Yarkora was half asleep on a bed. She slowly undressed from the night, thinking about her next logical steps, only to realize Ve was more awake then thought. “That Admiral seemed rather upset at you even being present.” She turned around and saw him now sitting up in bed. His blue eyes next to his black hair made his stare feel like he was on the verge of knowing something he shouldn’t. Luckily she knew him enough to know that he was simply just inquisitive at best. “He’s harmless Ve. I gave him what he wanted in exchange for me getting exactly what I wanted.” She turned back around to pull her night slip on before turning around again to climb into bed. “Besides, no one has ever been willing to catch me at the true cost.” Pulling the covers over herself, she turned to face the window, which faced the Silver Sea. “And even if they did, who could truly play the long game with me?” Even as she said the words, she did wonder if Beck Pilon was that type of man to go full throttle against her. He held himself with much more dignity than others. And the longer the two talked, the more he picked up. If anyone could do it, it would be him. But for the moment, she couldn't afford any more thoughts to what ifs. Without much other words spoken, both fell asleep and after a quick morning of pleasantries, were back in space themselves the next morning on their way to the next step of their adventure.
  9. Fluanern glanced for a moment only at the datapad before returning her eyes back to the young woman. "Ego is the damage then." Her own annoyance with the Quarren just as apparent as his towards her was. She knew that Zalis maintained a certain level of 'appearance' when it came to favoritism within the ranks of the local owners, all of which she did have a list that she knew to maintain. However, the Violet Caprice was one of those establishments were not on such a list. They were in fact one that Zalis wanted to be watched more carefully for signs of rebellion. The tournament was not special to this establishment alone, but was the only one that refused Black Sun security. She took a step in closer to the girl and both leaned in and squatted at the same time. She took a full long minute to study her. After there was clear discomfort from both the girl and the crew in with her, Fluanern stood back up. "You'll declare the winnings are a tribute to Black Sun. I will expect the funds in our account by tomorrow morning due to disturbing me on a night that your boss should have secured in advance, like every other facility did." WIthout letting any other complaints arise, she turned and moved towards the door. "Release her, she is spending the rest of the night at Sandorne Palace under the watch of Black Sun." She then turned to face the Quarren directly. "She can keep 12 percent of her winnings. Fetch them for me and have the girl in my speeder in five minutes." Without waiting for a reply, she stepped out of the room and walked herself back to her speeder, which was waiting just outside the Violet Caprice, along with her driver. She climbed and and spoke to the driver, a young Bothan male. "We're taking one more with us. When she gets in, we're headed back to Sandorne."
  10. Fluanern was a bit annoyed when the call came in from the Quarren, as they have refused to use the security personnel offered to them by Black Sun. But as apart of what Zalis assigned to her, she did need to maintain the peace and offer up some sort of remedies to situations that held potential to become a loss for the company. And because of that, she now unfortunately had to step into Violet Caprice, the larger of the casinos in the casino district. This one had already built up the reputation within Black Sun as being on the rebellious side. Zalis had worked hard to maintain a lot of the overall owners into positions to help feed the machine in order to build their own base, to which was successful for the most part. Some resisted, as was expected. But this one rebelled in smaller ways that they managed to never fall within the cutoff line, but still reaped rewards from being associated with Black Sun. Even as she walked through the door, the large event that was designed to attract all sorts of gamblers to the planet was already in full swing here at Violet Caprice. Because of it, neither her, nor the owner wanted her to be seen dealing with anything, so there was a Rodian waiting for her who quickly escorted her to a back room where the Quarren was waiting, and opened a door for her to step into. Upon entering, she saw a woman of about the 20-30 age range, dark hair much like her own. Blood was dripping from her mouth from the small enforcer crews own form of justice. The girl reminded her of herself almost immediately, to which she was made a Vigo through the fact that Zalis aw herself at times in Fluanern. "So this is your problem?" She made the question sound insulting as she raised an eyebrow and looked back at the enforcer crew, almost begging for them to explain the situation in full.
  11. The atmosphere was buzzing with so much excitement that Zalis was almost thriving upon it like a rancor ready to eat captured prey. She was enjoying herself, playing up contacts and working the room to help her reinforce her stance and lock herself into the role she needed to play that she was even at all surprised by the strong disdain ebbing from the voice of Beck Pilon. The man was well known to be heavy Imperial fanboy, and got close to the inner circle of Empress Raven. She knew he'd be here, as the man would be traveling with others within the Alliance and with his reputation that echoed out from within the halls of the Imperial side of the Alliance, he wouldn't miss the chance to prove to others that the Imperial Military ways was the best way. She had done her full research on him, as she did with everyone within the room. The Queen of Vice knew he would be the challenge to overcome at the Gala, or more the one to keep pinned down. He couldn't touch her tonight, and she had the resources to keep him pinned down. His weakness was one that would be easy to exploit. Even now as the two walked towards an open balcony in the hall, she could feel eyes darting her way as many liked the way she looked, but the eyes upon her back from the Admiral were like burning daggers. It was a rewarding feeling to know that he so easily walked into her play. As she walked onto the balcony, she turned and rested the right side of her body on a railing and held her drink closer to her mouth. As she did, she narrowed one eye and opened the other a bit more. "You can be blunt out here with me, neither of us are like those damn Jedi." There, his shoulder tensed up just slightly at the mentioned of Jedi, to which told her he was both annoyed with the fact that she held some common ground with him, but also the fact the she even knew it made him upset. He stood his ground and refused to move any further upon her making the statement. "We're not the same, don't put on us on equal ground." Those very words were a self made trap, but he couldn't see it. It would only help her case that she was about to make. "Never said that we were. But we do have far more common ground than maybe even you'd like to admit." She stood up and moved a step closer to him, not letting him feel comfortable or even getting a chance to cut in. "And what does separate us would actually surprise most people." She made her face readable to him. She wondered openly if he even knew the difference between them. The flush on his face was clear, he was getting angry, which meant he would either make a mistake or withdraw. Even Jedi when pushed into such situations made one or the other. "I didn't torture a political leader after kidnaping them." His words carried such anger and bitterness. But Zalis knew he didn't truly hold loyalty to Raven, just to the position that she held. His stance he was taking was purely from a misguided moral high ground that didn't exist. Her eyes narrowed as she took another step towards him and leaned in. "...Neither did I..." She then turned and took three steps towards the railing of the balcony before turning around. Beck didn't respond mainly due to him attempting to choose his words carefully as he tried to check anger. It gave her more room to cut off ground in the conversation. "I've read the public reports of what you're insinuating here. Lack of actual video footage at Kuat doesn't give much ground outside of her word versus mine if you were to push a trial. And last I checked... the words of the dead don't hold up that strongly, especially against someone who has already done so much to repair what was lost..." She now put her drink down and took a step forward. Beck quickly interjected. "But your deeds you've committed over the years speak for you." "However, if you did have something worthy of putting me on trial, I will happily comply. Unless you don't want a trial. But that would remove all moral high ground. Especially seeing as I am the one who worked so hard to give out free money to those families who lost their spouses from the Jedi who decided to blow up a bank in order to 'save one'. I have given many planets the joys of having commerce return to their ports through establishing Czerka locations through the galaxy." She took yet another step forward. "I have worked so hard to lay the groundwork for the Business Stimulus Act to present a way forward to get many planets like Chandrila back to being relevant. My face and name have become tied to the galaxy with hope of something brighter." She took a step back now. "Yet somehow, my old deeds from the past can't be overlooked, yet every single Jedi who committed acts far worse than me are forgiven immediately by those who hold the righteous seats of power... that doesn't seem fair." Beck Pilon tensed up even more. She could tell from looking at his eyes that he was beginning to see what sort groundwork she had already laid down. His lips quivered as he struggled to hold his anger in check. "If I hold no moral high ground, then neither do you. We both from this point on build upon what we want the galaxy to be." His words on the surface would seem matter of fact to anyone, but she knew them for what they were. A threat. He was promising to make the Galactic Alliance hunt crime down harder, which in turn, at least in his mind, would mean capturing her latter on. She offered him a smile at his words. "If you feel like you have enough to pin something on me, You can always find me at Czerka HQ on Taris, or on the Titan." She then lifted her glass, emptying the entire glass of its liquid into her mouth. The gesture caught the eye on Tor Blatheuld and Wess Zis, who felt like they now could move towards the two. She lifted her hand to allow for them to approach. Even as she did, Admiral Pilon stood with eyes locked on her. She could tell that his own mind was racing with thoughts on what do next. Much to her own surprise, he handled himself very well for someone who didn't have a background in politics. She wondered if he picked up the skills due to his clone background. Much around Emperor Denton's clone commando project was kept closed tight, that not even her best hackers couldn't get those files. As the crowd came around again, they were also joined by another who wore more formal Galactic Alliance military uniform. Zalis immediately assumed it was whomever came with the Admiral. She didn't know his rank, as it wasn't on his uniform. "I hope you two have reached an understanding that would allow for us to continue our fun little Gala tonight." Wess offered up an inquisitive smile to both. Much to her own surprise, Beck responded before she could. "Why yes. I'm very much now looking forward with great anticipation on how Zalis handles herself moving forward, along with how much she fully separates herself from her past associates." Only after he finished speaking did he turn towards Tor and offer up a bow to her. "But unfortunately, like I have already stated, by skill set for Galas is limited and Lady Zalis Krales was indeed correct. I am not a fan crowds. I think I will retire for the night. I appreciate the offer to come and the hospitality you have shown the Galactic Alliance in our time. I will make sure we honor everything we agreed to, along with seeing what more the Galactic Alliance can offer you." He then turned towards everyone and gave a slight head nod, locking eyes on Zalis for a moment before turning to leave. As the Admiral left the scene, Zalis let her smile turn into a smirk. "So tell me Tor, Wess said that you have someone who could make me an exclusive outfit. I'd love to pour the credits into your beautiful city. But as we do, I think I have been deprived long enough of trying Chandrilan Squigs. Could we maybe get some?"
  12. Zalis found herself inhaling the saltiness of the ocean that stood on the banks of Hanna City. The air carried it in and almost fully removed all typical smells associated with ports and ships. Wess Zis stood at the bottom of the ramp, offering up Zalis a smile and bow as her and Ve Livan, her Yarkora bodyguard walked down. She was already in her dress for the Gala that was requested by Wess. The white overall dress, with silver and lace designs entwined all throughout it, along with hints of gold trim. The natural flow of it made it seem like the extra lace was almost ocean like in its movement, projecting an image and feeling of something angelic within others. As she got to the bottom of the ramp, she gave a slight head bow to Wess in return. "Hello Wess, it has been sometime since we last saw each other." She made sure that her voice carried with it a lightness to it, to add to the overall provoking feeling she knew she projecting already. "Lady Zalis, it's so good to see you. Your last shipment of goods to me on top of what Czerka sent was something that was awe inspiring." Zalis smiled as she let him take her hand and give it a kiss. She had almost forgotten that she sent sweets and wine to the Zis family with the last shipment. It was another way for her to tie into the hearts and minds of powerful people that she was on their side. "I sure hope what I sent was okay? Sometimes I just don't know what wine others like." Wess offered up a laugh of good joy. "it's all good. My wife enjoyed it, to which I am hoping that you will get to meet her tonight at the Gala. She's been looking forward to it." Zalis gave a smile and nod in return. The Gala was something she was looking forward to heavily, as it would help lock in her vital role moving forward, as Chandrila would then be the fourth major planet to let her have a foothold. "I am looking forward to it Wess. I am beyond happy to help lock in support for the Business Stimulus Act." Wess escorted them to their place of stay, a royal suite near the Brionelle Memorial Military Academy, where the Gala was being held. Zalis stood in front of a mirror, not really looking at herself, but mentally having a conversation with herself within her head as Ve was attempting to get dressed. He was making a lot of noise before he just let his frustration out. "This vest is stupid. Why do I also have to dress up." Zalis slowly turned her head to look at the Yarkora, who was struggling with a black vest over his white shirt. "It's a weapon free zone. Politically neutral, so the goal is to play nice with everyone present. I won't need your weapons or your muscles... so take this as a time to really enjoy the perks of being so close to me. Drink heavily and enjoy yourself." She then turned back towards the mirror and continued to hold a private conversation within her head.
  13. Sitting in the main hold of the Supremacy, she stared at the holodisplay of Thalassia and all of its glory. Her mind raced about the best options to gain better advantage. She didn’t even bother to listen to some of the banter going back and forth between Fluanern and Akor’ketez. Ve stood behind her as the ship was still traveling through hyperspace towards Chandrila, so there was no need for him to watch over the cockpit. The Yarkora kept his stance calm, which helped Zalis focus a bit. It was only when Fluanern spoke on utilizing some of their own resources that the Queen of Vice lifted her head. “I mean Graak has made it fairly clear that he doesn’t like the avenues of aggressive movement we as Black Sun are taking, and Kivro is just an idiot.” She turned from looking at Akor’ketez to Zalis to finish up her thought. “He’s going to get himself killed sooner rather than later.” The comment had Zalis put her own head down again as she re-looked over Thalassia to process what was being put forth by her team. Without looking up herself, she slowly responded to the comments. "... Kivro is a smart enough to not start a war. Only the Hutt family has enough to make a full take over outside of us. Pykes and Crimson Dawn together... Maybe... But still doubtful. They have a play in mind..." She looked up finally after musing over some options. "Akor'ketez, now is a good time to use Delta Contingency. Maybe not the best play, but the panic afterwards may help us." She turned to look at Fluanern. "Connect with Graak and Bakkull the Hutt, invite them to Thalassia. I may as well make a play myself if I can." She then stood up and straighten her dress that she was wearing. "I have to finish my trip to Chandrila before anything else can happen. I will let you both know how it turns out. Until our next meeting... Oh- Fluanern, activate Remo protocol. I want it in motion by the time I land. Have fun." She then cut the transmission and turned to Ve and gave a slight smile. "And now we get to wine and dine with the finest of Chandrila."
  14. Through the course of a few days, Zalis found herself meeting with almost every local owner of some establishment within the city of Worlport. Everyone seemed to be in high spirits and eager for the coming influx of more foot traffic with some of the events that were being put on to draw crowds. Many of the events centered around big time gamblers and pleasure seekers, yet held a strong pull for those who operated on the black market. Many of the owners she found knew Black Sun was heavily profiting from such events, but didn't seem to mind or care, as it also greatly helped them. In fact, many of them flat out told her they wanted her to continue is generating influx for their businesses. It made her feel slightly proud at the fact that she was doing something that both made a profit for her, but others also enjoyed what she was doing. But there was a small part that wondered what sort of mini empire it was creating, and how long before some idiot thought it would be a good idea to dismantle it. She was pondering much of this within her own private room in Sandorne Palace, otherwise known to most as Black Castle, when a beeping began to signal to her. She knew from the sound that it was the main office calling into her room. She went to a wall panel and opened the channel. "Go ahead." There was a slight pause, the new attendant was slowly still learning the job since she let the other girl go, as she just didn't grasp everything the job entailed. This new guy, Suguril understood what was involved in the job, but held a massive learning curve in some of the tech. "...Umm... Wess Zis has expressed that Tor Blatheuld is excited to meet you at the fundraiser Gala in a week... Umm... he inquired if you would wear... the Hanna dress?" The lack of understanding made Zalis offer up a laugh to herself, but she was sure that Suguril heard her. "You may send a reply that I will wear his favorite dress to show off at the Gala, so long as he buys me a new one, or atleast connects me with a designer. Is that all?" She waited and heard some movement, as clearly the next thing he had to say he understood carried some more weight to it. "Yes ma'am. Kivro and Graak have requested your presence on Thalassia in the next four days..." She fully paused as she held out the dress that Wess had requested her wear from her closet. So... the Pykes and Crimson Dawn have decided that now is the time to act... The thought had her narrow her eyes as she thought more carefully upon what exactly her next move should be. The thoughts were slightly interrupted by the sound of Suguril on the other end making a sound to let her know that he was still awaiting her response. "Thank Suguril. Let Fluanern and Akor’ketez know of this development. I will conference call with them on my ship. I'm headed out to Chandrillia for the Gala being hosted. Also- have Ve meet me at my ship. Thank you." She walked up to the wall panel and shut the line off. This was indeed worth her time to plan out some more and be prepared for offensive action if needed.
  15. She moved her glass to allow for another pour of whatever drink he continued to consume. Upon the toast, she gave a small nod and drank what was before her. Whatever partnership this would become, it would be profitable for her regardless. As she finished her drink, Junal the male Twi'lek owner of the establishment walked into the room and leaned down to address her quietly. "Ma'am, the others have arrived and are waiting upon you." Zalis simply shuffled herself to sit more direct to the Twi'lek. "Go ahead and pour everyone Prow as they wait. Put it on my tab Junal." The blue skinned owner slowly bowed his head and withdrew from the room. Without adjusting her seating to turn back to the Gungan, she addressed him. "Beware on both of these. While the shift of power is slowly happening, Kessel is still fragile. I have no idea of how much patrolling is being done in that sector. And while not as valuable as Bacta, Kolto is still somewhat monitored by... controlling factions. But both of these items are needed regardless." She now stood up from her seat and adjusted her navy cloak to sit just right again. "Use either Dubrillion or outpost 102 here for your drop off." She went to step out of the private room but paused for a single moment at the door. "Good luck." Upon finishing her words, she left the Vice room. Her attention was quickly turned towards what was next, which was more local owners seeking out a meeting to discuss different protocols and other boring stuff. She always willingly went to them though, simply because she had somehow created a culture that was beyond dependent upon Black Sun and the activity they brought to the planet.
  16. There was a slow lean back into her chair as she fully understood what was on the table. A golden opportunity as it were, a chance to push another into the fray without risking anything herself. But still, could she even trust this crew? She took a long moment to stare down the crew as she deliberated within her own mind what sort of thing was she getting into. After a good two minutes of silence, which may have been awkward for the crew, Zalis finally leaned in again. "A test then. A chance to prove your skill which could then be like falling stones that begin an avalanche." She then pointed on the holodisplay map that was still up from the Gungan captain. Her hand slowly moved over each planet as she spoke of them. "Kessel has long since been a resource of Spice, that of which is used across the galaxy. Other hubs such as Iridonia provide a version of it which can be used, but the main source has been cut off by the forces of power that be. The events around Nar Shaddaa recently have unfolded into a vacuum like state, which means some borders are more exposed then others. Kessel being the primary one." Zalis now leaned back again within her chair, but this time did not sit all the way back, allowing for her own posture to indicate that she was offering up the final deal. "There is a Spice worker under contract at Kessel still who has indicated to us that he may have a fairly large shipment for us to sneak out. While not piracy, it's still a job that needs to get done. However, to spice up this test for you. Three days after the pickup of this Spice... there is a Kolto shipment we learned is being taken to Onderon. We need it. This is your piracy act. Take that Kolto and deliver it to me. Any other plunder you find along that way is yours, and along with a handsome payment fee, we can enter into a full and final draft of this scheme working out."
  17. The intent of the meeting was laid out rather quickly. The gungan before Zalis was one of cunning moves and big dreams. She could tell as he leaned in to speak, long before he even laid out his plan to her. She took a drink of her own Chandrillia whiskey, almost emptying the entire glass with one drink as she looked over the map that the Gungan displayed for her. Yes, his plans are ambitious indeed. Yet, they are not without flaws. She looked him over as he talked some more, clearly offering up a drink to her. She decided to not show any hesitation and poured the drink offered into her glass before leaning back in her own chair now that Greensnout was finished. Her eyes looked him over again, along with everyone within his party. "Ambitious to say the least. But you clearly don't have a hold on the state of things within Black Sun." She took a sip from her glass and then leaned in. "Former glory is irreverent by now. Only future and new glory is what matters. And Black Sun is thriving in far more ways than its former self." She now leaned back and took another sip before continuing. "Czerka has become the front that draws attention. It's by this point, untouchable by any government without true cause. Spanning shops from Taris to Corellia and beyond. Black Sun holds major hubs on Dubrillion and Ord Mantell, yet still holds smaller trade outposts on Tatooine, Onderon, Dantooine and yes, even within it's fragile state, Nar Shaddaa. The Bounty Hunter's guild has resurfaced under the help of Czerka and Black Sun on Iridonia..." Taking yet another sip from her glass, she set it down on the table and leaned in yet again. Her eyes locked with Greensnout. "But I am not blind or stupid. The need to capitalize upon the current state is something of great value. Piracy is good for business... sometimes." Her voice lowered a bit, yet not too much so that the Gungan wouldn't hear her. "Eyes have been set upon areas of great value to Black Sun. But piracy without a funnel and a command destroys chances for legitimate business and growth. And placing such funnels and command structures would no longer make you a pirate." She leaned back again in her chair. "That would make you more of a warlord of sorts." She now wondered if she would even be able to exert such control over a sector like that. Granted, by some default, she already had. But how long until the new political system wanted to show it's forceful hand like they did at Outer Haven? Maybe setting up a few warlords of sorts would be good to keep egotistical eyes off of her. But could this Gungan do it? She'd have to test him first. For now, she was curious if he had anything else to add to what she spoke.
  18. Zalis stepped out of the speeder that brought her to the casino and offered up a smile to the owner, who greeted her at the door. "Lady Zalis, I'm so glad that you would choose our location to host your business." She offered up a slight curtsy as a formal greeting. Her black dress with a navy blue cape on the back almost made her stand out amongst the white and golden colors used for the Regnant Casino. The owner, a Twi'lek male turned and escorted her in the main doors. As they walked through, he snapped his fingers at someone. "The Vice room has been prepared and your guests have already been escorted inside." A waiter quickly joined them, offering up a glass of Chandrillia whiskey for Zalis, to which she took without any hesitation. "Thank you Junal. Your standards really do amplify the city of Worlport heavily." He gave her a bow in return and then left her at the main door of the Vice room before turning around to tend to the others within his facility. Zalis eyed the three who were already within the room. Her eyes darted at all of them, narrowing ever so slightly. She didn't acknowledge them verbally yet, but instead choose to sit down in her chair that she always used for this establishment. Upon sitting down and getting comfortable, she turned towards the three. She spoke directly with the Quarren the last time, but he said he worked with others. She hesitated for a quick moment before finally speaking. "You addressed me as if I should know you on your call- but I don't. Two of you hold a body posture of being annoyed. My only guess is it's due to me not meeting with you at Sandorne Palace. Which places you as people who know me by reputation only. A very bold move to connect directly with me, but time will tell if it will serve you or not." Zalis let her words sink in by taking some time to drink her whiskey provided to her by the Casino owner. After she put some of it down, she shifted slightly in her chair and raised her eyebrows. "Now is the time to make your next move and see if your boldness pays off..."
  19. Her eyes darted from her holopad to Fluanern and back and forth a few times as she hesitated to even pick up the call, and it was on her public access server, so it made the choice rather annoying. To her surprise, Fluanern simply gave a smile and then stood up, tilting her heads towards the incoming call and then excused herself. She hesitated a second longer, acknowledging within her own mind the thought that her faith in promoting Vigo's was becoming on point. With a small smile, she allowed for the call to come through. The Quarren on the other side was formal and addressed her as an equal, but used language that suggested he wasn't. It threw her off for a moment. In her own mind it felt like a week had passed before she could even respond. He spoke on the right things though, as the state the galaxy was now entering with the events of Nar Shaddaa unfolding made for a perfect storm for local crime to rise. Bigger organizations could also rise, if they played their hands right. Too much of a noticeable movement would draw unwanted attention. She leaned back and gave a face of narrowed eyes and slightly smile. "Very well. I can meet you at the Regnant Casino House. There is a private room there. Ask for the Vice room. I'll meet your crew there within the next fifteen minutes." She then cut the transmission. She would need to get dressed to host, even though it wasn't her building. But on Ord Mantell, the way of Black Sun ruled strongly and was beyond embedded into the culture, it was now customary for her to show her best.
  20. It had been a really long time since Zalis had even stepped foot on the Capital planet for Black Sun, yet even as she inhaled the air, it reminded her more of home. Between Ord Mantell and Titan, the two were her safe places. The spots she could go to without any worry of something happening that was outside of her control. And even if something did happen outside of her control, it was always profitable or beyond irrelevant that it matter not. She took a moment to observe the landing pad designated for Vigos and others of alike status. Fluanern stood at the other end, awaiting the Queen of Vice to make her way over. She stood in her black uniform, choosing instead to remain within a business state, even though she had long since been given permission to dress up or down. A complete opposite to what Zalis wore, black boots and jacket over a white dress. Her movement across the landing pad was more sluggish due to the amount of traveling she had been doing recently. Fluanern gave a small nod and turned to match pace with Zalis into Black Castle. "Local area has been running smoothly, no hiccups. And word has it that Iridonia has settled in nicely, beginning to adapt to the culture there along with filtering in some of the spice there. Bounty Hunter Guild is also fully up and reporting to us as requested." She turned to acknowledge the woman before stepping into the turbo lift. Upon it closing is when Zalis spoke up. "Less concerned with those avenues Fluanern. I suspected the guild would re-establish upon given the right circumstances. Right now, I want to know what's happening out with our contracts we offered up..." Zalis turned and looked the other woman in the eyes. Her own blue eyes as cold as ice locking with the emerald green of the trusted Vigo. "... We can't afford for anything to go wrong on that end..." The other woman shrugged her shoulders simultaneously with the turbolift doors opening to Zalis's office. The two stepped out together, Zalis making for her chair, while Fluanern headed to a chair directly opposite. "Unfortunately contact is limited. And the facility is so closed off that we can't really see movement or progress..." The words had Zalis close her eyes and think for a moment. They needed something special to distract them from the potential of disaster at the whim of the Crime Families. "When was the last time we threw a party here?..."
  21. The five Sluissi continued to do the work of Black Sun, breaking the system for no other purpose then show that it could be done. It was a weird and awkward contract to accept, but the pay was so good, only a fool would have turned it down. They had setup exactly as the request was made. An isolated remote location, hack into the main HealthiDrive system, use their relays to hack into the fortified prison. Thus far, that was all a cake walk. The hard part was the triple remote access into the system on Nespis VIII. The system was already hard to crack without alerting everyone that they had broken in. But some systems were easier to find backdoors into without altering anyone. The first system was the charging system for all of the droids. But many of those droids could go days without having a charge, so it was fairly pointless at first. The food processors and lavatories were also easier to crack into, but did require some time. Ktess got excited when he finally did get into the system for the food processors, to which all he could do was either fully lock them down, or have them spit out food nonstop. He choose a mix of the two, to cause some more chaos as much as he could. Hjunn cracked into the lavatories almost nineteen minutes after Ktess got in on his end. Now all that remained for the five Sluissi were some random cameras, two weak point comm systems and a few weaker doors. It wouldn't be much, but it would prove a point. And that was all that they had to do for Black Sun. Prove that the system could be tampered with. Why was still a mystery to them, but the pay was high enough to overlook everything else. **** Droid Command **** LV8-Y1 processor system quickly flagged down the alarm that the food processors had begun to malfunction amidst some prisoners eating. "What is the diagnosis" The metallic voice was met by another, FSD-12, the main droid in the kitchen area. "Unknown. Food processors 2,5,8 and 12 are not working at all. Food processors 1,3,4,6,7,9,10 and 11 will not stop outputting food. Shutting down the grid system in the mess hall is the only way to to regain control and provide a full report on what is happening. All prisoners must be taken back to their cells for this action to be complete. Your authorization is required for this action." LV8-Y1 turned his upper portion and opened a comm channel. "All non-assigned security to the Mess Hall- authorization code seven-delta-five-three-one." Another droid, R6-D9 beeped loudly and rapidly at LV8-Y1. The command droid turned directly to the astromech droid. "What do you mean cell 200R6 is flooded?" The droid beeped again. "The lavatory is flooding. Those systems were updated two weeks ago, it is impossible for them to have any issues." The small astromech droid beeped and spun it's head around as it continued to explain. "Other lavatories are beginning to show the same thing. Our system must be compromised somewhere. Alert maintenance command." LV8-Y1 turned its upper body again and sent another message to all security droids. "Move all prisoners to rec floor under protocol red-seven-two. Await further orders."
  22. In a far off system completely undisclosed, five Sluissi sat at a table working feverishly at their own dataports. They were under contract by Black Sun, or rather one of the many companies acting as a front for Black Sun. Their goal was much more simpler than it sounded, yet far more complicated than what any normal being might be even willing to pull off. Each would be awarded the sum of twenty thousand credits to fulfill the contract, to slowly put a few things within the prison on Nespis VIII into chaos. The Helvault was a fortress for anyone attempting to entering it, and hacking the system was a bit more difficult and flat out harder than what others believed. But for this small group, they believed they were able to fulfill the contract for Black Sun. Much like any heavily fortified area, taking over the whole system or key parts required almost too much skill that it would seem impossible. But the group knew of ways to slowly compromise the system through much easier means. After around an hour of work, one finally spoke up. "I'm in. Shutting down the charging stations now." Another followed by his own words. "Ktess, did you get into the food processor yet?" "No, the system there is bit more touchy. I can't find the backdoor yet." The room began to fill with excitement as to what was happening. Slowly and surely, they would break the system. None of them fully understood why Zalis was only paying for a massive distraction versus a full on take over for the system. None of them wanted to ask the question, so they let it go. For now, they would slowly compromise the system of the prison to cause chaos from within. Whatever ends they were hired for was not their concern. Only results. And in their results they would get paid.
  23. Two Lethisk-class armed freighters dropped out of hyperspace over the old Golden Link Casino. The crews of both vessels felt instant joy upon seeing the old station, for it was their sole purpose. Seven months had transpired as a crew deployed by Czerka to track down and begin the process of reestablishing the old Golden Link Casino. Order had come from the top, that the station was to be reacquired after the AI went rogue and took the station away from Black Sun, despite them owning all rights to it. Zalis had begun to process of transferring official ownership over to the parent company, Czerka, in order to keep the station legitimate and outside of any repercussions from any reigning government. Plus, the whole station was a credit maker for her, which was her pure driving force. The two freighters slowly found their way to land upon the main docking bay of the station. Each member of the task force had been assigned with a purpose upon finding their destination. Two were geared towards restoring power along with finding if any AI still remained, and if it did, remove it. Four had been tasked with disposing of the old things that were marked to be tossed out by Zalis, while other items they could use their own judgement. SIx more were to rework the entire areas, remodeling and changing some of the design work that was already in place. Two were assigned towards security, outfitting new security on the whole station, yet two others were assigned to find the old credit store houses and old plans to better suit the needs of their upcoming excitement of the relaunch. The crews of the ships, all six of them were assigned to refurbish the entire docking bays, making them look as pristine as they once were. This was the crown jewel of projects that Zalis had put a high priority on for Czerka. Within every meeting, she inquired about its status, and the current crew was sure she would have nothing but pure joy at the news of them actually finding the station. They all were eager to work and get their three week deadline to get the station back up to Zalis' standards. Crystals to be hung and used throughout. Black, gold, white and red stones were plastered all over the walls. Blue and white lights, along with white and black chairs to match the designs. Green plant life placed here and there. Only in select areas was stone not found, mainly the living spaces for employees and guests. Water fountains in almost every other grand room. When all was said and done, the new Golden Link Casino would be a feature to see. Fifteen levels of pure excitement to see. The main level, featuring the 7 docking bays would also include the main lobby, large enough to hold two hundred people comfortably. Basic shops, restaurants and a few conference rooms were everything else available on said level, as guests required a keycard to gain entry to anything past. The next three floors down were all hotel like rooms for guests and crew, able to hold just shy of 3000 guests and 500 crew. Below those on the next 3 decks were also some more conference rooms, three large holodisplay rooms for newer entertainment pieces. Five musical relax rooms, where guests could drink and listen to any sort of music they fancied. A private office suit for both Zalis and crew, along with a fully functional medical wing. THe deck below was nothing more then technical systems, vaults and other things that only high clearance crew got access to. The floors above the docking bays is where things really took a new life. 6 different casinos, all featuring different games at each one. The water park was expanded to feature a three deck story high experience, full of waterfalls and slides to keep everyone who came happy. Four different theaters for live shows, one of which included pure reinforced glass, allowing guests to experience space as close as they could get to it while watching performances. From there, other decks held libraries, daycare centers, workout rooms, bars and specialty shops. Within those specialty shops is also where Black Sun sells some black market items if you know where to look. There is also an arcade housing over 300 different games for kids. There is also the lone bridge at the center of it all, keeping the station afloat and monitoring it at all times. If ever needed, the station could also move with it's hyperdrive system. This was sure to be a favorite spot for many to come and spend their vacation at, if not here, then on Titan.
  24. Zalis Krales

    Titan

The hoards of people crowded within the main casino in the cruise were all drinking and having a good time, for the most part completely unconcerned with the problems of the galaxy, as that was the intended purpose of Titan. For people to escape reality and enjoy their life in an epic vacation that they normally couldn't get. That and for Zalis to pull in credits by the mountains. She now stood alongside a few noble people, partially gambling upon a game of Jubilee Wheel. She was wearing her typical white lace dress, which always highlighted the brightness of her red hair. King Utherza from Shu-Torun who stood near Zalis, taking deep drinks every so often from his wine, also took a few glances up at the holonet display, which was covering the battle currently taking place at Nar Shaddaa. He glanced down and offered up a bet for the game, speaking rather generically as he did. "The more the damage, the more credits I can rake in. You may have picked the wrong venue of Vice my dear." The comment made her insides turn. King Utherza only thought narrowly of the galaxy and understood very little of what actually Zalis had her hands in. It was a mistake the majority of the galaxy made about her. She forced a smile upon her face. "Seems like it. The war consumes many resources. Too bad not everyone can profit off of those resources." The comment was made to be flattering and uplifting for the king from Shu-Torun. If only he had realized that his profits from such a thing were small in comparison to how she monopolized the markets. But it was something she would never share with anyone. Her mountain of credits were not for everyone, nor would she have them coming down upon her anytime soon from someone who got smart enough to play along with her. Not wanting to get too involved with a drawn out conversation, she changed the subject. "I think 24 is a lucky number. Might be well worth your credits. The house lost twice now from the other two tables on the number 24." She lifted her hand and snapped her fingers, signaling for more drinks to be brought over to them, as her eyes had already spotted the almost empty glass from Utherza. She was also hoping to get a message from Arostale letting her know that the contracts were done.
  25. Akor’ketez sat behind his desk and punched in a few things here and there as he read through the message that Zalis had sent to him. The posting through all of the normal secure channels along with her giving the thumbs up for the Malidris job. Across from him was a holoprojected images of Gystur and Hylliburk, two of the bounty hunters who took the job Zalis offered up them. The job, which paid handsomely, freed up the Bounty Hunter's guild to move more openly again, as the final resistance piece of the Czerka buyout would be eliminated from the job. The Twi'lek brushed his shoulder as he finished transferring some funds from one account to another before looking up to address both men before him. "You officially are on the clock. It's expected that you complete your contract within twenty four hours, but I will also say not to complete it in the next two. Other items need to be moved before you can officially take your marks." Both men gave a nod of their heads and then shut off their projectors, leaving behind them a blue skinned Twi'lek named Ejin'crebi, but she had everyone call her Ejin for short. She broke the small silence that followed the ending of the meeting. "I have two hackers currently awaiting the final order... We do have their DITI's and are watching." Ako'ketez gave a nod. "Send word to begin their assignment. Current time table suggests that the linking of the two systems to haze their movements might take longer than expected, and far more expensive. But Zalis feels as if Helvault is big enough to take eyes of the heads of the crime syndicate families." Ejin slowly nodded her own head as she began to type away on her datapad before looking up and giving a thumbs up that the word was sent. "That will be all Ejin. I will send word to lock down all other credit accounts unless its goes through the 7 step unlock process." Now it was a wait and see game for the two operations. Only time would tell if Zalis' gamble would be successful. Either way, he was certain that Czerka would survive anything.
